REVIEWS OF Luna Park Cafe IN Washington

Kathleen Sweet

Visiting Seattle for a few day and accidentally landed at this place for dinner. It was delicious! So good we had to come back our last day for breakfast/lunch on our way out of town!

Scotland Smith

Amazing carnivore/vegan restaurant! The food is delicious and the portions are big. A great family atmosphere and loads of fun stuff to look at. While we were waiting to be seated we stopped next door and watched the guy blowing glass. Despite the construction going on out in the street, business is booming. What a fun place to bring my family!

S English

Service always friendly. Would not mind waiting longer for food if that helps it NOT taste like a quick microwave dish. Looking for good food not fast food.

Tasha Amos

Good food we had to wait awhile after others got served, server apologies.

Paige Luebbert

We enjoyed this place. We arrived around 2 pm on a sunday afternoon, and this place was still slammed. They were able to get us to booth very quickly though. Our service was prompt, and out service was good. The server accidentally gave me a Turkey sandwich instead of tuna (I changed my mind at the last minute, so not his fault) and it turned out to be very delicious anyways.Would recommend if you're in the area

Matt Ortwein

Great atmosphere, great food, amazing milkshakes.

Fresha Peppa

Yum yum! I had a delicious Reuben with perfectly fried onion rings. The staff are great here, I definitely feel like I'm in a diner with a blast from the past. They even give you free stickers with your tab! I see them all over town already but will do my part to spread the word.

Jennifer Patton

Great food. If you like comfort for this is the place. Love the breakfast menu, so many choices. Parking is difficult and if you go on a weekend go early to beat the crowd. Reasonably priced and good choice for comfort food.

Haley Jorgenson

Been going there since I was a little kid. Always loved the fun, unique and inviting environment. Great place to bring kids. Service is great, decor is on point and food is good. They recently released a separate vegan menu which is great for me! 10/10

Retro diner, lots of fun. Great food and shakes. Sweet little spot right off of the West Seattle bridge. Started a Saturday morning here followed but a main street stroll through antique shops and then Alki Beach views.

Jordan Goetz

Fair prices for fair food. Decent atmosphere.

Kaitlin Melissa

A Seattle classic. Great food and esthetic.

Great food and service

jeremy sykes

Matthew Sigurdson

Always a great place to grab breakfast. Wonderful service and great historical area.

Margaret Bielecki

This place has really gone downhill lately. The food used to taste amazing and so fresh. The last few times we've eaten there it just tastes bad and my husband has gotten food poisoning afterwards (twice now). We'll be picking a new brunch place for now.

Tyler Hether

Great not-so-secret, old fashioned diner. A local favorite!

Laurie LaNel

Fast service, fun atmosphere, a little slice of the real Seattle's history.

FSRuziel

Easy to find, parking limited but a lot of free street parking. Popular place so expect some waiting but not too long. Food is awesome especially if you are looking for breakfast food. A bit in the noisy side but not annoying noisy. Definitely an authentic diner.

Christopher Simmons

The shakes are everything. The omelettes are tasty too, even if the space can be a little bit loud. The best part is the local aspect of Luna, and the casual nature of the restaurant.

Jason D. Nemeth

Cool atmosphere. Good food.

Buck Satan

Loved this place! Really good burgers and hot dogs.

Mark Tiedemann

Fun atmosphere! Good service and the prices are not bad. Make sure and check out their awesome milk shakes!

Food was great. Decor is fun & cool to look at. Love that old style diner feel. I would go back if I ended up in the area again.

Serge Lobatch

Came here for a cookies-and-cream milkshake, which is hard to find in Seattle. They boast Seattle's best milkshakes, and I'm inclined to agree. There's a collection of vintage stuff, perfectly complementing the alternative & old-school-diner vibes. Staff is friendly.

Roberto C. Nieves

Old school charm with great food and service.

Terry Loving

Fabulous breakfast/brunch choices. The milkshakes are to die for!

Natalie Menjivar

Loved my American breakfast! Great service and vibe. Not a long wait time, but I’m assuming there is days you will need to be patient .

Great milkshakes. They're not joking when they say they're the best in the city

Aislin Percival

This place is a historical landmark. I have loved it since I was a check but now that I am grown, I realize how dirty the place is and won't eat there anymore

Dalton Maeding

Food is good. Awesome nostalgic atmosphere!

Trenton Spaulding

I adore this place. Love the Songbird coffee. Live for the Lamma Pile. One of the things I miss the most about living in West Seattle was being close to this place. Best for breakfast IMO, but my spouse is a fan of their burgers.

Cameron Stewart

Good breakfast food.

cls lucy

It has really good food but the bathroom smells not so great

Alisha Thompson

Classic diner with Juke boxes, friendly staff, and fun milkshakes. Historical fun fact: decorated with artifacts from Seattle's long closed Luna Park attraction. The staff dressing diner theme; would recommend.

Janelle Reely

A funky and iconic place to eat.

Nathan Hangca

American diner fare. Good quality and always great service. Really nice throwback atmosphere.

This place was fabulous. The ladies that work here are incredible and made our visit extra sweet. I'm sure the gents are cool too - we sat at the bar

Ariana Villarreal

Food was really good and fast. I got the field roast emelette and it was very flavorful. The restaurant has an old school charm. The service was great, very friendly.

Rachel Stocks

If I had to sum it up in one word I'd say RAD! The food and wait staff make this place wonderful.

Super cozy, historic, and interesting diner type cafe. They have AMAZING milkshakes!! The foods good and service is friendly! The atmosphere is fantastic and has tons of pieces to look at while waiting (: usually has. Little bit of a wait but usually not too long!

Shannon Younger

We live north of Seattle and this place is worth the drive. Great food and service. Eat here every chance we get.

Steve Slater

Love the advertising old pieces decor And Milk Shakes were great. Got the hot dogs will not get again Rest of our party had great meals I will try something different next time

Rosanna Jackson

Service was great! Breakfast was ok, we found everything to be very greasy.

jason robertson

Good food with an old nostalgia decorations. Mimosa or milkshakes burgers or breakfast it’s all good. The prices have gone up a bit recently so a meal for 2 can get up to $70 with a good tip. it’s worth sitting outside on the sunny Sunday mornings.

Patricia Kerrigan

Great place - wonderful atmosphere - very friendly and superior service. Would recommend it to others and return soon with m

Petya Pacheva

Tod Rodman

Rosemary Funk

Luna Park Cafe was a charming Cafe. All the food is exceptional. I am really can't pinpoint one favorite to another. I do love their cheeseburgers and french fries. Their chocolate shakes and strawberry shakes are to die for. Let's eat breakfast while there's just so much to choose from but this morning I had the scrambled egg with ham and cheese. They also have gluten free bread !!

Justin Watts

Perfect, classic cafe with a cool history and sweet people. The food was quality and fast.

lauren scaperoth

Food was delicious! Loved the fun retro atmosphere. A favorite to go when I am visiting Seattle!

Brigette Bahari

Good food, fast service, and amazing decor. Actual retro signs, posters and more hanging on the ceiling, walls and throughout the inside. Has nice outdoor seating as well. Definitely worth checking out and coming back.

Jennifer Whitaker

Cute place with a lot of nods to the historical Luna Park with the decor. Food was good and really the breakfast plates are large enough to split for two. I was jealous of the milkshakes I saw at other tables but I didn’t order one because, well breakfast. The only con was that some of the waitstaff seemed irritated when we asked for water refills or crayons for the kiddo. They seemed to have plenty of people working but a few were sour. The rest were very nice.

Thomas Tseng

The piles are amazing, especially with the habanero aardvark sauce! They have great looking shakes too. Don't forget the fun sticker that comes with the bill!

Rick Nienaber

Have always received delicious food that pleasantly fills me up

Taylor Behling

I have been to Luna Park many times over the years and it is always the same. Service with a smile, fun atmosphere and the best milkshakes around. I haven't had the food but it's pretty standard diner fair. People have said the chili fries are quite good as well. Definitely worth a stop!

Nathan Moller

Exactly what you'd want in a diner. Next time I'll try a shake.

Jake Parsons

Hands down, best milkshakes you'll find in Seattle! Fun atmosphere and they easily accommodated our large party!

Danielle Newsome

I really enjoy this diner. The food is very good and so is the service. A nice casual place and they serve breakfast all day. Best of all- they have gluten free bread and burger buns AND vegan cheese available!

Mario De Tore

I miss this place. Awesome diner food & vibe and a great bunch of people working there.

Mark Wangerin

Good, but parking is an issue

Ian B

Just a fantastic breakfast joint - good food, fun decor. Always a wait, so be prepared.

Jenn Salvo

My hubby has been doing road construction literally in front of Luna Park Cafe for the last few weeks so he eats here a lot lately. I have been able to join him a few times. Great little retro diner, staff is friendly, food was good (though the fries were a bit salty for my liking), milkshakes were amazing!!!

Heather Wilson

Great little book I never would've noticed if a friend hadn't suggested it. They were pretty average priced and had great coffee. They had all the usual goodies for breakfast bites. My one issue was with the pancakes. They only add the fruit to the batter and not on top. It was the driest pancake. Otherwise a great spot but get there early or they are packed.

Diane Shearer

Fun, nostalgic environment, we were able to sit at the ice cream soda fountain and watch our waitress make the most fabulous milkshakes and malts in town. They are classically made with real ice cream and topped with whipping cream and a cherry. My granddaughter and her friend were unable to finish their chocolate shake so we took the remainder home in a to-go cup. My vanilla malt was consumed. We devoured our order of french fries. Our waitress was awesome As Good As It Gets. A fabulous time at Luna Park

NowI'mMe

I love this cool restaurant in West Seattle! It's decorated with old vintage advertising signs and lunch boxes. It's a small restaurant on the inside but has outdoor seating when the weather is warm. They advertise that they have THE best milkshakes for miles around but my friends and I will have to come back here in the summer to try those. It's getting to be winter and we wanted warm breakfasts with plenty of hot coffee. The prices are typical for this part of West Seattle but the food portions make up for the steep prices. And the quality of the food is incredible. They serve breakfast all day, everyday and burgers, fries, sandwiches, ice cream floats, the aforementioned milk shakes, pie, lava cake...what more can you ask for. Be advised that on the weekend, the place gets packed. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait outside for about thirty-five minutes. Luckily, although it was cold outside, the sun was shining and we were dressed for colder weather. There are chairs outside and a portable heater warmed our legs as we waited.

Denise Johnson

Good, tasty and reasonably priced place for an early morning breakfast before starting your day!

Shawn McCleary

Great food, awesome atmosphere. Will be stopping by here again next time I am in town!

Kellen Barfield

Classic food! Really good

Liz Nason

Very good food when your Saturday night was fun and Sunday morning you need a great cup of coffee and definitely delicious food. Staff smart and fun.

Debra Kunigonis

Diner in West Seattle has solid food choices and some great deals. Breakfast serve all day (except pancakes only in morning). Delicious shakes & malts, fries, burgers, and sandwiches.

Mario Hernandez

great atmosphere great food

Daniela Bailey

Very chill place. I enjoyed the atmosphere in the summer here, as you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze. The food was pretty good and the service was decent.

Kimberly Boudreau

Friendly staff, lots of options for food, went here for breakfast and it was great all around!

sherry villalovos

Dennie at Luna Park Cafe is Great THANK YOU for the best fries and bacon burger!

Toby Johnson

Love the shakes here and the grub

Edd Mewborn

Unique little place. Friendly servers and good food.

Golden Goddess

Although the service was amazing the water just ruined the entire experience. It was extremely sweet almost like a syrup which threw off my taste buds. And I'm not a fan of vegan meat so I will have to go back and try something else, but besides those things it's a great place. The 50's vibe was cool too

Ryan Maskill

This has been a West Seattle staple for many, many years and we have been personally enjoying it for over 20. Today was our last visit unfortunately, as our 2nd most recent experience has been extremely disappointing. The quality has gone down hill and the service is nowhere near what it used to be. Thank you for the fond memories and the cool stickers. I'm curious to know if others feel the same

Timothy Spehert

One of my favorite spots in West Seattle. I always get a shake- the combinations are seemingly endless. I normally get burgers or sandwiches here and they are delicious. The staff are always welcoming and make it an enjoyable place to eat.

Jaime Page

Love this place. Food is way better than your typical greasy spoon, and the desserts, in particular, are to die for. The staff is great, and the history of the location is fascinating. Great place to bring littles for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Olivia Heath

Fun diner with good food and amazing milkshakes

Legister Gregory

Love this place ❤️

vivian ignatius

The worst omelette I have had.yes this review was a one of...meaning I have enjoyed this place many times yet that one time where it disappoints you to where you remove them from your breakfast go today. Makes me sad

Thomas Honles

Fabulous place to enjoy breakfast or lunch with a friend, or alone. Features delicious breakfast and lunch choices, served in a small diner space filled with kitschy curiosities hanging from ceiling and walls. Server attitude was average and not stellar but the food and space make up for what might have been a burned out and tired server. Outside seating is also available and on a nice day in Seattle, is worth a try if you don't mind being on a busy road. Now if the 1950s vintage Batmobile and Batman driving coin operated ride in the diner actually worked, I would have rated this place 6 out of 5 stars, but 5 out of 5 ain't too bad.

Shawn Odom

One of the best breakfast spots.

Kay Barth

The Luna Park Cafe has found a new devotee. I recently developed an adult onset soy allergy. Know what contains soy? Literally almost everything. From cook to cook things in, to an emulsifier/stabilizer in breads, I'm lucky if I can order anything at all. But not at Luna Park!!! They do NOT use soybean oil to cook in!!! I was able to enjoy french fries for the first time in MONTHS. I didn't order a bun with my burger, as I can't know where they get them, but was quite happy eating it wrapped in lettuce.

Nate Lott

Good food and lots of it. Quirky diner with an old amusement park theme.

GregRobin Smith

Great servings. Friendly staff. Well prepared. Perfect Pita.

PGpartyof3

Service wasn’t any better than an IHOP. The omelette I ordered had a good amount of meat in it. I’m Luke came with a lot of grease on it. A lot of the drinks didn’t come with free refills unless it was soda cranberry juice or room temperature orange juice. Not sure what all the hype was about people were standing outside so I thought it was going to be great

Tinson Luey

If you looking for a decent breakfast with reasonable price, this would be a perfect place for you. Restaurant atmosphere more like you are in New York, good food, service a little bit slow, since it's a small restaurant, its filled very quickly, but people spent more time in there, & you felt pressure eating your food, thinking about people waiting for availability, only if you are an inconsiderate person, than no issue at all of being feeling pressure. Overall experience alright. We love the food though! Parking is another issue to be considered.

So youn Park

What an amazing find!! Such a great small diner with a delicous meal and fun decorations in every wall! Such a great atmosphere for a fun breakfast, brunch, lunch, whatever!! Great servers and definitely a diner to try when in town!!

Jax Rigpa

Amazing VEGAN options!!!!!!!!! I love this place. Coffee is great... Vegan Hash Browns are so0o0o0o delicious.

Victoria Anderson

Food and service was fantastic!! Went here for breakfast multiple days during our vacation. The biscuits and gravy were delicious! Food came out fast and the staff was super friendly.

Thavry Phim

One of me and my fiances favorite places to eat! Love their food and the staff! Only thing I would suggust is having an indoor waiting area. I had to wait outside in the cold and rain before we got seated.

Kara Kaltschmidt

They have a fabulous vegan Reuben sandwich! Uh mah gawd! Great food, shakes and staff!

Roxanne Gates

REALLY good food, fun eclectic atmosphere and a clean space. Service is always good, and usually pretty quick. Theres a lot of choices for all types of diets, but if you eat meat, you must try the bacon.

chris m

One of my top 5 favorite breakfast spots. I'm here at least once a week.

Matthew Carpenter

Delicious and seasoned perfectly, great place and nice environment. The guys are very attentive and will serve their customers very fast!

Chris Overdorf, ASLA PLA

Luna Park Cafe has always been my daughter's favorite West Seattle eatery - especially the Mickey Mouse pancakes. The decor is eclectic and the food is great. I love the breakfast piles, hobos, and omelettes. Can get crowded for weekend breakfast but always worth the wait.

Chase Christensen

Amazing spot, great coffee and the Piles are unique and well made

Meg Verm

Love their vegan menu: burgers, shakes, sandwiches! The crispiness of their fries are supreme in all Seattle! Try them with their vegan ranch!

Henok Kidane

All day breakfast, great staff and the milkshakes are fantastic!

Dara Elish

Awesome malted and a great burger. I hate sausage gravy and theirs is yummy!

Nathan McCauley

I go every other Saturday night. The staff there are great! They kept checking up on the party I was with to see if we need anything everything was satisfactory and if we were enjoying ourselves. It wasn't just the one time 10 minutes after getting our food seeing if everything's okay. Not only was the staff great. The food tastes amazing. I have had the Swiss and mushroom sandwich chicken tenders hot fudge lava cake and the milkshakes, and everything that I have tasted has been above and beyond what I expected. Great job Lena Park Cafe.

Tom N

What all diners should be judged by. There should be a place like this in every town. Outstanding food. Wish I could leave 10 stars.

Maria Brewer

Nice atmosphere! Good service and the prices are good. Make sure and check out their awesome food!

John Chowning

Best milkshakes in town period.

gg6ft7

Great all American diner. Excellent shakes and service too.

William McTaggart

Love the fact that all the shakes come with the tin with the extra shake.

Pat Christopher

Good diner food and family friendly. I always get breakfast food and am always happy. Pancakes are great, waffles are delicious and their sausage gravy is phenomenal.

Will s

Had a burger, fries, and a milkshake. All were delicious. Prices were fair as well

Suzette Betsill

It was 100% delicious..top notch service.

Marty Atherton

Fast service, good quality food, great atmosphere.

Ben Levine

Popular hipsterish greasy spoon that always delivers on a solid plate of food. Usually has a wait depending on when you arrive; but has coffee and water outside for folks who are in wait-mode. They have something delicious for everyone, and you never leave hungry. Prices are not expensive, and service is great. This is a perfect spot to show up for a hangover or to kick off to your weekend day - or both. Locals who live in the area go here for breakfast almost exclusively.

Mark Austin

Was a great place. First time there as we met with a person who lived in the area

Kam Khan

Excellent breakfast, quirky atmosphere with all kinds of strange old kids rides and paraphernalia. Terrible parking and always busy, but definitely worth the try.

Marc Wind

Plentiful and tasty portions. Great outdoor seating even though on busy street. Awesome milk shake. Very friendly waitstaff. Good hot coffee. Very hip vibe.

Devon Norton

What can i say? It's Luna Park Cafe. always a solid choice for a good quick no frills breakfast. Of the numerous times I've gone here I have always had a good experience.

john oconnor

I haven't been there in years!

Amy Ezzo

One of my first experiences here was years ago when my friends and I went for a bite just a few minutes before closing time. We had no idea it was closing time until after we left and saw they had been closed for over an hour. The employees were so gracious and never even gave us a hint that it was time to go by doing any of the typical end of the night tasks like stacking chairs or mopping floors. Ever since, I have loved this place and I take friends here often. They really are some of the kindest people.

Mike Hay

We stumbled across Luna Cafe one while searching for a place to eat while passing time waiting for a sales call. Food was great, good coffee, TERRIFIC service and they let us hang out there for hours working without once making us feel like we should leave. This is a huge deal for us road warriors. The vibe was awesome in this cafe and I highly recommend. (We ate breakfast). I’ll be back. Thanks guys!

Hisaiah Jack

Best fries imo

Jon Wind

Delicious Retro Diner. The milkshakes are delicious and IMO they have the best french fries in town.

C Alex

Good service, but mediocre in product and price.
