The food was super delicious!!!! And the margaritas are very yummy! The portion sizes were huge. I had the Ensalada de Tortilla . Super fresh ingredients! I don't know what they do to their refried beans but I swear I could eat a whole pot all by myself! Will definitely est here again.

It's just not good anything...mediocre service, mediocre ambiance, mediocre drinks and just plain bad food. Much of the food seems to be frozen...Rice and beans, seafood, chicken. Soggy, flavorless everything. Even chips and salsa (water) is lacking. Skip it and move along...DC is not known for good mexican food, but you can find something (anything) better than this. And expensive On plus side, staff is nice.

I had the worst experience today I had been regular customer I was I ask to leave because we complained that the food we order was wrong. My friend and I we talk about DACA my parents are immigrant the waitress claim we had said ilegal that’s was not the casa I my self come from a immigrant family this is sad. I will be taking action due to the way we were treated and the way she lie . The manager wasn’t helpful at all she said well we give you guys the regular menu not the brunch menu.

Slow service. The specials posted were not for the right day and therefore when the bill came around we were less than pleased. I wouldn't recommend it and I'll never visit again. On the plus side, the chips were fresh and margaritas were good.

Along the lines of other reviewers, we had to wait an extremely long time to order, and even when our chips came out, we weren’t given any napkins/silverware. A server spilled water all over my friend’s leg and barely apologized. Food was mediocre. Don’t visit.

My boyfriend and I visited Los Cuates when we stayed in DC last September, I'm just now digging through photos and posting this! I loved this restaurant, the food was delicious and reminded he and I a lot of what his family makes at home (which is a good thing!) Spicy, authentic, delicious, and the drinks were nice and flavorful yet strong :D

BEWARE!!! If I could rate this zero stars I would. Horrible service!!! I placed an order through Uber Eats and I clearly noted and in capped letters "NO RICE, DOUBLE BEANS." What did they do? They sent me double rice instead!!! Clearly they don't know how to read!!! Then what angers me even more is that I call and the first call I got hung up on. Then I called again and the same guy answers, I explained what happened that they got my order wrong, and his response is, "OH" and doesn't say anything else and just leaves me on hold. What kind of service is that???? Pathetic!!! I reported them to Uber Eats. Hopefully they take them off!!!

The Guacamole is not fresh. The tamales are gross- it’s soggy with a lot of cheese on top and definitely not authentic Mexican tamales. The yellow rice with veggies was not good. The staff is constantly trying to grab an empty plate, I felt rushed even though it was not crowded in there. The mango margarita was Ok I requested the drink to have more liquor because it tasted like juice. Plus she took long to bring my drink over while she was in the back chit chatting with her colleague. The lemon juice my friend asked was sour with a little bit of sugar. The chille relleno with beef inside wasn’t all that either. Looked microwaved. Nothing authentic about this place. Customer service was whack I did not leave her a tip. I do not recommend y’all to eat here, unless you really have no choice and want mediocre “Mexican” food.

Staff was nice! Now for the bad part... pretty much the majority of these reviews you are looking at are an accurate reflection of what you'll get. An empty restaurant, and somehow the service was still noticeably slow. We ordered 5 different dishes... no ones taste buds were happy. Rice you can tell was frozen (there were warm and ice cold parts). Every plate was flavorless - the chimichanga, the fajitas, the salmon, and some random seafood dish. Sorry, never again.

Bad. Bartender was unknowledgeable and server was rude. We ordered food and multiple drinks which were subpar. Upon receiving the check we were charged $6 for soda water and questioned why and the bartender shook his head. Paid the tab and the sever who took the check slammed the check book on the table. Asked to see the manager and was told "well we have to pay for carbonation". My boyfriend and I have worked in the service industry for combined 30 years and know what kind of service is expected and it's not this place.

Great food and service! I am from Texas here on vacation and was craving Mexican food but, not sure if these restaurants up here knew how to cook good Mexican food. These guys hit it out of the park!! Try the pulled beef brisket burrito! Well worth the trip to Adams Morgan neighbourhood!!
