Stunning... again. Le Pigeon has delivered on food, service, and vibe, both times I've dined there. I participated in ordering the tasting menu on both visits and recommend it without hesitation. An extra special touch we appreciate at this restaurant is the beautifully crafted, sophisticated, non-alcoholic beverage pairings offered for the tasting menu. It's wonderful that people who either can't or don't wish to imbibe can enjoy an elevated beverage experience as well. We find Le Pigeon to be among the best of the best in Portland... maybe even THE best for us.

Creative plates, outstanding service and an admirable wine list. We called ahead and requested 2 vegan dinners with wine pairing and were impressed with the variety of flavors and the perfect wine complements. Parking is a challenge, and reservations are a must. Worth the investment. Your palate will be pleased.

So delicious! I tried their chef's choice dinner with wine pairing. I was a bit worried by the price, but the incredible quality of the food more than made up for it! The food was phenomenal; a perfect combination of savory and tangy. Highly recommend!

Food was very good. Wine selections and service were excellent. A few of the dishes didn’t totally fire but overall a solid meal.

I've yet to experience food much more complex and wonderful than le pigeon. A small exclusive feeling dinning room with music enough to mask a personal conversation with a big emphasis on uniqueness within the food. Watching the chef counter is a joy as well. One of the best culinary locales in portland.

The food is fancy, the environment casual and the staff friendly. My husband and I had the 5 course with beverage pairing. The food was very good, but each perhaps a little sharp in terms of flavor. They were very accommodating with …

A charming and cozy setting offering a fantastic range of culinary delights. Get right up front to the kitchen action barside to watch the magic happen in such a small space. Leave room for dessert and a great wine list!

Hannah Larsen

What a nice little place! Great atmosphere and lovely staff. They were so chill and welcoming and you could tell they had passion for the food and wine they were serving. Very unique and creative flavor combinations. Inspired me! Definitely a "do again"!

Chris

Amazing food. No tricks, as it’s cooked right before your eyes in an open kitchen. A vibrant delight to the senses. Menu is creative but doesn’t stray too far from its traditional French influences.

My husband and I love this spot. We have been twice now in our two trips to Portland and it's always the highlight of our dining experience. We have done the 7 course chef's menu both times and each time we are wowed and delighted by the …

The food here was spectacular

Had the octopus and eponymous pigeon, the former an incredibly creative pairing of octopus and beets, the latter an excellent take on squab and sweet with prune used intelligently to accent a delicious bird. Great bread too. Slightly standoffish service but food is what matters

Thomas Weaver

All four of us did a pescatarian tasting menu. On several courses, they customized to accommodate our individual requests. Service was very attentive, with full descriptions of each course as it was presented.

Jared Davis

Easily the most over rated restaurant I've ever been to. Between the 3 of us, 2 had make that were just alright and 1 had the most flavorless swordfish imaginable. That person barely touched their food, and the server didn't even ask about …

Fabulous food and service. Pricey but worth every penny. Portions are big. $30 corkage that's waved if you buy another bottle off the wine list. We got the 5 course chefs tasting menu and left stuffed and happy.

Bristol Kelley

A grande dame of Portland's impressive dining scene. Sit at the chef's counter to watch the magic. Always a top notch experience in every way.

Russell Dent

Great food, excellent service, an adventure in fine dining. Will be back!

Best meal we had during our trip to Portland and Seattle. Impeccable service, delicious food. Would recommend the fried rabbit, halibut special, and chop salad. Small, intimate place. Make reservations, or show up early.

Magnifique! The fish of the day with frog legs was so flavorful, to be honest the frog legs tasted like beef jerky! The pork dish was excellent as well. Super friendly service. You can see the chiefs cook right in front of you. Fun and hip ambulance! Can't wait to have my left overs today for lunch!

Aaron Contreras

Excellent tasting menu! This should be your number one stop for a gourmet meal. I highly recommend this place for dinner if you are in Portland on vacation. Also, Kit Harrington works here.

Monte Taylor

Excellent food and great service! The five course tasting menu was a decent value with interesting dishes.

John Lambert

French restaurant on Burnside. Great food. I had the pork ribeye. It was delicious.

Kelly Cronin

Such a fantastic experience on so many different levels. The food was insane, the service was fantastic and the wine parings were spot on. We did a the 5 course chefs tasting menu and it was the perfect amount of food. I would recommend …

Second time there in the past 2 weeks. First time with my wife and then last night alone on a business trip. Ordered the tasing menu both times and had a completely different menu from the first! Both equally outstanding. Staff is terrific. Always alert and ready for you. Chef/Owner was in the kitchen at their counter where you can sit and watch them create every dish. I will visit this restaurant again and again.

LePigeon was quite a unique experience. It was recommended to us by a Chef and of course our expectations were high. Everything was delicious, but for me it was missing the wow factor. They use very rare combinations of ingredients which makes it a whole different culinary experience. I would recommend it, but know that it is expensive and you may know get your kind blown.

I've had a gluttonous trip here in Portland. This was hands down one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The level of cooking is impressive. There are no shortcuts taken here. Quality ingredients and a great FOH staff. Definitely won't forget this place. Highly recommended.
