REVIEWS OF Lark Restaurant IN Washington

An amazing experience dining at Lark. Enjoyed every single dish we ordered, including their bread (loved the butter seasoned with sea salt they served too). The dessert, Meyer lemon parfait, was the best lemon parfait I've ever had. Good atmosphere and cozy vibe. Parking was a little difficult.

Don Lundman

Don’t miss the octopus a la plancha. Splurge, and have the venison. Superb!

Jill Brandt

Fantastic food. Great service. Reasonable priced wine list (and great options). Did the Hamanci and The seared foie gras starters. Shared the pawn pasta (can’t remember the full name). Shared the pork belly for the main. And the red wine sorbet for the dessert. One of my favorite places in the neighborhood.

Kimberly Pham

This place is a charm. I love the atmosphere here. The bar is so classic, dinning room is so cozy and romantic. Their upstairs is contemporary and great for family or group dinner. Service, food and drink here are amazing.

Diane Holmes

Love it. Everything , which was a ton, Service, amazeballs!

Yewondwossen Adefris

I've only been to the lunch offerings at SLAB: Great sandwiches. Brisket and Sardines are my favorites.

Dídac Pérez Parera

Brilliant PNW food. One of the best restaurants I have been in Seattle so far.

Mikhail Bruk

Delicious food but pricey.

John Segal

good mix of seafood and cocktails. fresh ingredients/dishes and *incredible* service. the clam flatbread was great, as were the oysters.

Bobby Lauterjung

Terrible. Booked on OpenTable and made notes that this was an important birthday celebration (my wife’s 30th). I requested a romantic setting. The reservation was for 6 pm on a Friday. When we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant and they gave us the worst positioned table in the restaurant. It felt as if it was the table they added when they decided that they needed more capacity. The waitress knew little to nothing about the wine list and there were fruit flies surrounding us the entire time we were there. My wife was super let down and bummed by he service, the food, and the atmosphere. I’d read this place was a top romantic restaurant on Seattle. Steer clear of that is your intent.

Sergey Klimov

Disappointed, barman was fine but food didn’t come out as great, the forgot to add mushrooms.... meh not happy, not worth the money

Adi Mohan

Really disappointing experience... starting with the butter w the bread was too salty... the goat cheese tasted like blue cheese which we didnt like... pork rillette was soooooooo salty omg.... we stopped ordering food at that point and then tried switching gears to dessert and the dessert was also disappointing - the first time in my life I had a dessert with chocolate and hazelnuts which left me sad...

Michael Darlo

What an amazing restaurant! I loved everything about this place, food, staff , decor, literally everything. I will definitely be eating here again!

Matthew VanderWende

Great food, decent service a little Seattle freeze and the bathroom is not that nice and way out side Resturant for this nice of Resturant

Julie Wang

The food was great and nice ambiance... Good for people who love a quite place.

Erika Staub

Delicious dishes and amazing plates to share. Great place for a celebration or just a really good meal

Michael McCaffrey

Service, food, and drinks are excellent. Quick walk from our hotel so this was a regular go to spot while we were in Seattle.

M

Excellent service and atmosphere as expected.

Pedro Knötschke

Perfect for romantic dinner

Paul

The waitress was very unpleasant and not friendly. Food was expensive and the presentation is not appetizing. A good customer service can go along way!

Ross Yeh

Great atmosphere. Food is just awesome. You can't go wrong with Lark.

Soumeya Benghanem

Great food and impeccable ambiance. We started with the truffle sunchoke and it was delicate and indulgent, a little goes a looooong way. The shrub mocktail was delicious, it was the perfect marriage of a kambucha and strawberry daiquiri... shocking and innocent all in one mouthful. The beef tartar, uses beef from a ranch in Montana , classic, clean and comforting. A little salty so ask for less salt if you are sensitive to it. The Neah bay Halibut was delicious. Fantastic service by the chef and the front of the house. They accommodated my edits and answered questions, were prompt and attentive.

Brett Elliott

The food is good, it's very upscale, and the atmosphere is nice. However, I didn't feel the food itself was as delicious as other places I've eaten in Seattle, yet it was priced much higher. Great place to go if you are looking to impress a date or try something a bit rare such as quail, which is hard to find in other places. I had the duck confit, which was fine, but it would not draw me back in to try other items on the menu.

Eric Will

Fantastic food. Great ambiance. Good drinks. Efficient service. One of our favorite restaurants.

Fred Boelitz

Beautiful space and service was friendly. Duck confit came to the table cold and they forgot my side dish. By the time the side dish arrived my food was room temperature. Desert was average. Not as a good an experience as I've had in the past.

Jess Jung

First time here for a romantic dinner with my husband. We were not prepare for a classy dinner night and we just walking around and landed here. When you walked in, the starlight ceiling really captured your eyes. It was a weekday night but it was close to being full. We were seated and had warm welcome and service. Our server Catherine was very attentive. She also noticed the wine I ordered was not to the par of how my taste was and she offered to bring me a new wine to try. For dinner we had tartar, Arctic char and pork belly. Love the tartar with Japanese fusion. The fish was cooked beautifully with crispy skin and soft meat. However, the pork belly was a bit on the salty side. Dessert was homemade and really recommend the pineapple tarte tartin. Highly recommend for having quality food and top notch service.

Amy Cisneroz

Great very fresh food...upscale but not dressy. Fun vibe.

LEITH LEDGER

Very pleasant and engaging staff. Fantastic bar.

Florent C

Great service but overpriced greasy uninteresting food.

We dined at the Lark for the first time. Three of us, sharing starters, pastas, and mains. We each enjoyed each bite, which is as high as our reactions can go. The starters (crudo, fried oysters) were fresh, well-prepared and properly seasoned. The pastas (cannelloni and veg carbonara) were excellent, particularly the tenderness and texture of the cannelloni. We shared two mains (roasted salmon and pork belly) which were also really well prepared. We skipped dessert given the depth of our food orders. As for libations, we enjoyed a rosé Laurent Perrier bubbles and a great 2004 Mersault, which was off-list and offered after a couple other Chablis and Mersault choices were OOS. Overall, an excellent experience. Enough fun mixed with professional service and great cooking. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is in a modern setting just on the edge of Seattle University's campus. Even though it was busy, each table is far enough apart to make it feel very intimate and to allow for easy conversation. The wait staff are quiet and unobtrusive, appearing at the right moment and leaving us to ourselves for the privacy of our meal. To sum up it was a perfect setting and a wonderful feast of delightful food. We began with lovely, warm, bread served with butter and lardo, this tasted lovely spread on the bread. For starters I had seared foie gras served with a duck crackling cornbread, ruby port duck jus, brown butter figs. The liver was cooked perfectly, with the one edge seared and crisp, but with the rest soft and juicy. A delicious taste experience. My partner opted to start with the Montana wagyu steak tartare which had capers, cornichons, aioli and crackers with it. He made his usual joke about it being 'a little undercooked'. The dish was very well seasoned. My partner became quite ecstatic about it. With its strong flavoured, nicely textured meat. At Lark the Italian tradition of an antipasto, pasta and mains is maintained. So, we were offered an 'Il Secundo' (second) course. From this I choose the Octopus a la plancha with Bomba rice, Piquillo peppers, smoked jowl. The rich sauce, which I had seen crafted by hand in the kitchen just beside us, was delightful. It carried the strength of the octopus and added a whole new exciting flavour making it hard for me to decide if I liked the sauce or the octopus more. Though I think it was the combination of both that made it so perfect. My partner opted for paccheri pasta which was served with a lamb and pork ragu, green garlic, dandelion and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The shape of the pasta allowed the ragu to flow over and through it, making it easy to eat. The seasoning of the dish was again superb, the ragu was rich, more pork flavoured than lamb flavoured, but very good. He will be looking out for dishes like this when he goes to an Italian elsewhere. For mains (or thirds if you prefer) I had the Pork Belly this was crisp on the top and juicy below. It came with charred corn, mushroom, padron peppers, tomato aioli, chili vinaigrette and pepitas. While I love my meat the vegetables and sauce came as a great counterpoint to it, and were truly excellent in flavour and texture. My partner's main was Crispy Duck Leg served with pozole verde, hominy, green chickpeas, spring onion and crispy radish. My partner would have liked a bit more crispiness in his duck. The meat was perfectly cooked and soft, but the skin was not as crisp as he would have liked. The sauce had a spiciness with it, making it feel warming and comfortable. The vegetables were crisp and delightful. Even though we had eaten very well we thought we would ask to see the dessert menu and were both grateful that we did. My partner ordered the blackberry sorbet with raspberry granita, shiso and matcha rice pudding. My partner loved the sharpness of the sorbet. Often berry sorbets are too sweet, but these were not. The rice pudding had good bite but was overall soft and comforting, just as rice puddings should be. My partner was not sure about the use of matcha in a rice pudding. It would have tasted nice enough without the introduction of the tea flavour. I, to my delight, discovered the restaurant offered a selection of Cheese. I chose: Dinah’s Cheese, Vashon, WA - a silky, luscious rich cow’s cheese; Garrotxa, Catalonia – an earthy, strong, aromatic goat’s cheese and Forme d’Ambert, Auvergne, France – a rich, salty, blue cow’s cheese. Each was excellent, with my preference being for the strong, tasty French blue. Lark provided excellent food and a delicious well-paced meal, with no rush or pressure – excellent.

joni cabrera

the foods are artistically prepared and with excellent taste

The service and the space design at Lark are beyond praise. Tall, spacious and airy hall creates an upscale feeling to the place and the impeccable service reinforces the impression. One would expect a creative tasting menu being offered in such a place, but it's not the case. The chef can make the desired number of courses by request, but the exact menu and the price tag would remain the mystery. I wasn't in an adventurous mood, so that I picked a few dishes from the regular menu that was surprisingly scarce. I started the dinner with the home bread and cheese, then tried pork rillettes and ordered a Wagyu hanger steak for the main. The bread, served with butter and smoked lard, was quite good. The rillettes had a nice texture with somehow toneless flavour, but it was pleasant overall. The steak was cooked right to the requested rare doneness but was way too heavy on salt. The half-cooked Brussel sprouts served with the steak disappointed completely. Being totally unimpressed with the main, I skipped the dessert. Unfortunately, I can't say I liked the menu options and I found the food to be average, in striking contrast with the space itself.

Crystal Ellington

Beautiful ambiance and service. Extensive wine list and exotic desserts. Spacious enough to not feel cramped, but intimate enough for a romantic date. Will definitely be back.

Heather Bresnahan

Excellent food and service for a large work function.

Tabitha Day

The food was absolutely delicious! My friend and I stumbled upon Lark when we were looking at must-try's in Seattle and boy did it not disappoint. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. We ordered drinks at the beginning & took a little long but they were delicious so can't really complain there. Our server was very knowledgable and gave us advice on what to order. We had the oysters, seared foie gras which was melt in your mouth, octopus a la plancha (must try), and the oh so great wagyu beef. Unfortunately the dessert did not wow us like the main course and appetizers. We ordered the snickerdoodle cookie with ice cream & the peanut butter chocolate. They were mediocre in my opinion.

Nanoatzen Castro

great place to take a nice dinner with your girl

Denise Kwok

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant but the portions are tiny for the price. Service was also a miss, as it took maybe 15-20 minutes to track down our server so we can get the bill.

Ian Gorton

Ate on the mezzanine. Same food but more relaxed service. Very enjoyable indeed

Kirill Fortygin

There lamb chop was Fantastic! I liked there ambiance and there staff was very accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately the fish we ordered was not obviously fresh and we could not finish it. The server was very accommodating and offered other food.

Brian Pulliam

Loved the decor, like a starry night. Right behind IHOP just off Broadway. The steak for two is delicious.

CRo Green

Not to be missed.

Bryson Bachman

Slightly underwhelming overall

Bernard Bove

Excellent customer service. Staff cordial and attentive. All the dishes (appetizers & entrees) were near perfection. We started with a variety of the raw oysters, and were not disappointed. For entrees we had and I can highly recommend the pork belly, whole fish, and steak. Not of fan of their beer selection, and the wines were a bit pricey. But the Owen Roe Cab was a great compliment to our main dishes.

Jon Kenton

Had a fantastic meal. All round 5 stars, service, ambiance, food and especially the food! Btw did I say that the food was good...

Saroj Kumar Mohapatra

Menu selection is limited. Salad available as appetizer is one of the best I ever had. For vegans and vegetarians there is only one option and it’s simply baked rice with eggplant.

Monica Freelund

The whole experience from the food to the ambiance was exceptional! Chris was wonderful. It was one of the most enjoyable evenings we have out in some time.

Susan Carlisle

Delicious local, seasonal fare beautifully prepared. Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. I will definitely return.

Christopher Davidson

Amazing food, exceptional service

Meghan Passovoy

We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was spectacular. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. We're still talking about it!

Drake Hei

Nice place with a great ambiance. Small portions though so prepare for that.

Brian Murphy

We've been hearing good things about Lark and finally decided to try it. In a word - disappointing. The food was competent journeyman fare, but unimaginative and not worthy of its 27 Zagat rating by any measure. I'd place it at 23 or 24. The new 0-3 rating scale is too coarse and doesn't allow a restaurant to be accurately rated. Badly done, Google.

tony potts

They have live entertainment which made the dining experience really special. It's kind of a romantic place.

Kabir Iqbal

Overpriced and honestly better options are available.

Mark Barrus

Wonderful cheese menu three of their best Seattle restaurant week and that tough choice and maybe I'll try that tomorrow

Sarah Hughes

The food, service, and ambience we're incredible. Recommend the homemade Fargo bread, prawn carbonara, and venison loin dishes. Overall, one of my favorite dining experiences in Seattle to date!

Alan Chung

1st time here. The dress code on their website says dressy but they take any customers really. First impression was this is an upscale high-end place. The hostess were very friendly. The menu is ambitious and not at all a budget friendly price point. However there are a lot of interesting dishes. We ordered a few appetizers and main courses. They are all unique but a bit heavy on the salt in the meat dishes with the exception of the pasta dish. We love all the appetizers. The only reason we gave 4 out of 5 stars was due to the fact that the dishes itself though sounds scrumptious and elegantly presented, they fell short of fully delivering it in the flavor.

Aaron Jaeger

Amazing. Food was incredible. Greta, the waitress was awesome. Highly recommend

Faisal 'Fes' Naqvi

Exquisite is the only way to describe the food at Lark! And exceptional service!

Claire Summers

Perfect blend of taste and color!

Rashmi Shantharam

I went here for Seattle Restaurant Week and it was great. They had a vegetarian option in each of the 3 courses and the food was good.

Renee Gittins

Amazing service, amazing meals, reasonable prices. I had written a wonderful review of at least half a dozen paragraphs, but, apparently, if you click off of this review box, Google dumps the whole text without a way to recover it. Still, I will continue to dream about the delightful meal I had and I hope to return again soon!

Julia Ember

I went here with my wife last week. While the atmosphere and service were both great, we weren't blown away by the food. The meal started well with an excellent parsnip soup, and the pasta course was tasty. However, my scallops lacked flavour and my wife's beef was a little tough. Our deserts were full-on disappointing: rock hard cold chocolate mousse and very dry apple cake.

Steven Anggrek

Nice place to have tapas-like dinner with friends. The portion of dish is meant for degustation. Service is good.

Daniel McCarthy

Solid preparation & service. Nothing extraordinary.

victor pawid

Meh price did not meet expectations. But it was still delicious. Dessert was 5/5.

John Jurgensen

Enjoyable for special occasions. Excellent food.

N S

Food was good.

Alex

Very average. For my main dish, I ordered scallops with a side of wild mushrooms. The food was beautifully plated. But the scallops were rubbery. The wild mushrooms also had generic flavor and not warm when I got it. The dessert, coconut sorbet was quite good. For this price point, I think it's quite average to below average. The service was very slow. It seemed like there was only one person working the entire second level. There were six people in our table, we had to wait for a long, awkward many minutes (it felt like 10 minutes), between the first person being served and the last plate to come. I can't explain why this happened really. Maybe they need an expediter in the kitchen, and more people to help with the second floor since it's further from the kitchen downstairs.

Jason Goold

Great food. Manager she had a rude attitude.

Duncan Hendrick

Their autumn menu was amazing! I had the venison loin with chantrelles, bacon, and a maple parsnip puree that was absolutely delicious. The market fish (Arctic char) was also great. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us navigate the menu for my nut allergy. I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Ian Schubert

Did not meet expectations for brunch... there was an odd vibe on the menu - everything was creative and trendy but only a few things actually sounded tasty. Those things came out plated beautifully but tasting excruciatingly sub par... I would certainly pass on brunch at this place next time. Not to mention expensive and small portions

Letha Dunn

I've loved Lark for many years -- since it was in the sweet old location, and now in the more modern but still warm and inviting building. They continue to honor our amazing regional produce with creative and flavorful seasonal dishes. They have a splendid wine list and a knowledgable team to help choose what best accompanies your food order. And the food? Well, everything is great. Everything. They truly celebrate their ingredients and explore flavors. I especially love their winter menus, full of root vegetables and hearty meats. It feels like traveling back in time and enjoying a post-hunt feast with royalty. These chefs know what to do with a duck! :) And the gingko stuffed quail? Oh my word. Perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The mushroom jus definitely has crack in it -- there's no other explanation for how good it is, and it cannot possibly be legal. Many restaurants in Seattle make delicious food. What sets Lark apart is their consistency -- everything is good and it's always good. It's that simple. And that's what keeps me coming back. My only complaint is that I'm always too full for dessert!

Domonique D

Such an amazing hole in the wall! Although I really shouldn't call it that because everyone in Seattle seemed to know it except for me! A girlfriend and I came here for appies and drinks before going to another restaurant and it was so amazing we left questioning our decision to leave!

Kathy Shireman-King

Been here twice and both times the food was amazing. Recommend getting the smaller plates and sharing so you can try more!

N. S.

My daughter and I met in Seattle (from out of the country )for Christmas Eve dinner. We choose different items from the set menu. My duck breast entrée arrived with over carmelized ( black and hard) vegetables and a crisp piece of "fig dressing." It appeared that the food was the last remaining remnants of the roast pan. My daughter and I were stunned that it was actually served. I returned it to the kitchen and the new plate was an improvement....at least fresh. Neither my daughter or I could say that any course of our meals were "wow". The food was warm and under seasoned. The server had to be reminded to bring bread and not once topped off our wine glasses. Clearly understaffed. We agreed that we do not need to return......actually quite a lark for the price.

Mary Osborne

Our first visit to the "new" lark, but definitely not our last. Every dish exceeded expectations.

Rob Reid

Crazy good food

Jessica Kessler

What a wonderful meal! Delicious food, terrific service, a total treat. Will be back!

Jesse Shan

It was a great dinner! The foods were all great and upscale, in a simple and inviting setting. The cod was very fresh, the combination of the textures of cod and mushroom was a total enjoyment. The seared foie gras starter was also great, the sauce was a little bit too sweet for me though. The only letdown was that they could really use a more curated music list, rather than the "Today's Top Hits" on Spotify.

Mary Smith

The restaurant is near the heart of Capitol Hill, just off Broadway and Pike. This means parking will be difficult, but there is the market garage nearby which almost always has space. There is a large space that is divided into a main dining area, a basement (for private events), and an upstairs space called Lark Mezzanine (which has a separate OpenTable page).

Tor Norbye

All the dishes were really great. Nice atmosphere and service too.

Chris Lamb

Has both a mezzanine and a more formal option and we went with the former. Turned out to be one of the best evenings out I've ever had, with superlative and friendly staff... and my friends steak was quite honestly the best I've ever had. I quite-literally swore out loud at how good it was. Thank you.

James Kennedy

Great cocktails and changing local menu. Staff was fantastic.

Jeff Slemaker

Best place period.

Byron King

I enjoyed the food and the service here.

Samantha N.B.

I love this place so much. Your tastebuds will die and go to heaven. The Quail was suburb!

nick caudill

Gotta get the pommes!

Hugh Huck

Incredible! The hangar steak was superb! Japanese Cheese steak was awesome!

Brandon Pivik

$16 slider: Delicious, but $16. You can get better sliders at Cafe Champagne for $2 at happy hour. $28 Lasagna: 3/4 cup dehydrated hamburger helper stuck to the bottom of a skillet, with 2 stale noodles placed on top. $28 Duck Confit: Leather. Cooked to the point of being unchewable. This was on a Sunday night, and these reviews are binodal. I can only assume we must received the C-squad. Regardless, without a doubt the worst food and biggest rip off I've experienced. Will not be back.

Sofia C

Lark Restaurant is a high quality experience from the table service, to the food, to the atmosphere. As someone with specific dietary requirements, I have always found the table server and chef to be outstanding with regard to their receptiveness, attitude, and ability to come up with a wonderful meal that I can enjoy.

Mike C

Dry salmon. Uninspired beef. Get the Halibut. That was worth the dough$$$$

Timmy Reilly

A great place blow a paycheck. If you feel like treating yourself order as much as you can, eat slowly, and savor every bite. Everything on the Menu is incredible. You can't go wrong.

E T

nice atmosphere, but food is only ok and WAY overpriced.

Melanie Coerver

Thoughtful approach to Northwest cuisine- they use local vendors and make their own bread. Their cookbooks are worth a look. The atmosphere is a little noisy but upscale.

Ryan VanDyke

Amazing food (truly, 3 shavings of truffle with the ribeye steak) but the service could be vastly improved. (5 for food, 3 for service)

Mike Haykin

Hate to say I was disappointed but I was. Historically, I have had epic meals here. The seafood platter was the most disappointing. For 70 bucks, I was surprised that the shrimp were not that fresh. Only 2 crab legs. Ate nothing memorable. Service was just ok. At the price point, I can only give it a 2 and that is mainly because I have great memories from past meals.

Andrew Stout

Solid cocktails and incredible food in a sublime setting. Lark never fails to delight.

Matt Evans

Great food with a very innovative menu, very helpful service. Awesome cocktail list.

Gaby Franco

It was a superb dinner! Worth going back anytime. Everything we ordered from the bread all the way to dessert was superb. Plus an outstanding service, very good wine selection and a fair price.

Amy P

SO DELICIOUS. only regret is not having room for dessert!!

Erica Toelle

Great ambiance and amazing food. Worth a splurge.

Laura Van Der Wende

Seriously people, you need to go here. How does it not have 5 STAR rating? This place has it down. I've traveled the world and this place is up there with some of the best food I've had stateside. The design and everything is on point. Go here! Portions are smaller, but that's what they tell you when you are ordering. It's Italian style dining so you if you're hungry you'll end up ordering a few dishes.

Bernard Hensey

Great food

Dan Friedman

Great environment, food was well prepared. Interesting menu

Mickey Phoenix

Excellent food! The apple/fennel/bitter greens/pecan/smoky blue salad and the lamb sliders were worth the trip all on their own. Two of the three desserts we tried (the chocolate pot de creme and the red wine and quince sorbet) were spectacular, and the third (pumpkin cheesecake) was perfectly serviceable. The pasta with mushrooms and lemon sauce was delicious beyond words. The bouillabaisse, however, was a disappointment -- one of the mussels didn't open, and the sauce tasted quite frankly like they had opened a can of tomatoes and dumped it into the pan. The only other flaw was the portion size, which left me hungry at the end of the meal. However, I suspect that's a problem most diners won't face: I'm 6'8" and I avoid gluten (thus, no bread to pad out the meal). I will eat at Lark again -- but I'll most likely wait until the next Seattle Restaurant Week makes it more affordable.

reggie smith

Smells good...

Jean-Marc Champoux

Just do it. Go just to eat the cheese.

Amir Shevat

What a wonderful experience. We came here for a friend's birthday. We basically order everything and it was fantastic. Everything dish is well prepared and delicious. The cocktails are fabulous as well.

allison k

We go out often and this is THE best restaurant in Seattle. The food is unique and well-balanced with interesting flavors in the service was exceptional. The liver parfait was the best I've ever had.

Jacob Labauve

Great high end food in a very cool and inviting setting. Cocktails were inventive and very well balanced. Food was near perfect. Highly recommended!

Norman Webster

Thank you so much for such a memorable dining experience! Not only was food outstanding and architectura ambiance incredible, but Ashley our server catered to our every need!

Michael Natkin

One of my top picks when I want a high-end, slow paced, thoughtful night out. Expensive but worth it. Vegetarian options are always wide ranging and solid.

Robert Smith

Simply lovely!

Kate Powers

I was browsing for a dinner spot on our Seattle trip, and Lark sold me on its ambiance pictures. I couldn't say no to the possibility of an adorably romantic lighting atmosphere. And it did not disappoint from the entrance to the exit. The service was phenomenal and the food wondrous. Typically when my partner and I go out for dinner, we share plates. So we ordered oysters, 1 appetizer, 2 main dishes, and a dessert and were perfectly joyously full by the end of the meal. The plates are a bit small, so I recommend sharing some apps or dessert. You also can't beat BYOB. Recommend to anyone that's a true foodie by trade.

Tom Glassman

The portion sizes are small, but you could not ask for better tastes and atmosphere. In typical Seattle fashion, it's more expensive than it should be, but it isn't out of step with other great restaurants in Seattle. The difference is the atmosphere, dark tones with candlelight. Worth your time.

J Snider

We had an amazing meal here. One thing to note, the food is on par with high end restaurants with over the top service and price tags. This is not that kind of place. Much more casual. The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food is outstanding as are the cocktails. The bread is a must order, we had a beat salad that was a special but if offered I highly recommend.

Matt Hornsby

The food here is just incredible. The wine selection is also great. Great cocktails and amaro choices too. The waitstaff was top notch and incredibly knowledgeable. Really charming place. Would be great for a fancy date or a business meeting. Will be back for sure.

Nift The Lean

Got to be one of the best restaurants in Seattle. The food and service was truly amazing. You have to try it! Lovely setting. Perfect for couples and small groups. Love the place and will be returning many times.

Art Wilkinson

Amazing food... Great service

Bob Lee

Love the cuisine and service. Yes, the portions are small, but I feel like the care put into the dishes is worth the price.

Maribelle Pinette

The food was amazing! So so good! I couldn't help myself hehe, ask my boyfriend!

colette bjorkelo

One of the best meals I've ever had! Seriously sublime. I couldn't help but be mesmerized by our eloquent server. I swear she made the experience that much more enjoyable.

R.H. Arista

Good reason for James Beard Award here. Parking is tough but worth every bit. Dishes are so imaginative, with flavors that go on and on. Terrine of Foie Gras and house-made burrata salad are two favorite small plates. Duck and grilled steelhead were big hits as entrees.

William Owen

Lark is in a class by itself. We six winemakers had a magical evening. Everything about Lark is welcoming. The food was divine, we had an excellent Muscadet with oysters. The other wines were ours. Our server, Ju Hyun, was the most memorable in years. Her native, joyful graciousness put a glow of warmth around the table, that lifted a wonderful dinner to another level entirely. As a former sommelier and waiter, I was happy to have experienced a real natural at Lark.

Jennifer McLean

Food is amazing...atmosphere as well. Couldn't think of a better place to celebrate our 26th Anniversary. Excellent and applause to Chef John Sundstrom...keep on keeping on.

Dana Prouty

I really wanted to like everything about this place but some food items and the service was lacking. The service was really slow at best and olives that I ordered didn't arrive until after we finished our main meal. The crackling that a number of us ordered had no flavour and we had a lot of trouble chewing through it. And to top everything off, I had plates and cutlery with unfinished dessert dropped on me as the waiter was taking away dishes. I spent 5 minutes wiping cream from my shirt and hair. Gross. Our other dishes were quite good but the bad crackling and the service tarnished my experience.

Mark Rubinstein

Pretty disappointed - came during restaurant week and the food was pretty bland. Wait staff was very friendly though!

Michael Holtz

Second time here. Just wow. We ordered the tuna appetizer 3 times it was so good. Everything is made so well... I had the halibut and tried the hanger waygu steak. Both were amazing. The cocktails are delicious...I don't know which ones I had we just had the waitress bring different ones and loved them all. Will go again 100%

Chris Duvarney

Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff

Mr. Clark

New to the area. Friendly staff and fine food. Great bourbon selection and generous pours.:))

Chris Spurlock

Full disclosure, my sister worked here and her boyfriend still works here, so I'm probably a little biased. The few times I've been I've really enjoyed the food and the relaxed-considering-the-price atmosphere. Reservations are recommended and I know it's expensive but get the octopus, even if you don't like octopus, because it is seriously amazing.

Stunning View, love this place and food is great!

I loved Lark in its original location. But, turns out, I love Lark in it's new location, too! The food is excellent and creative and interesting and delicious. They've done a fabulous job of carving out a wonderful feeling place to eat from a file warehouse. And, their amazingly, friendly and interesting and caring staff fills the place with serving goodness. It is my very favorite place to go in Seattle for a special treat of an meal.

What a very special place for celebrating a birthday, anniversary or Christmas eve. Fantastic food.

The food and atmosphere are fantastic but not 5 stars because several dishes are poorly portioned (acknowledging quality of cuisine). While they might suggest it, dishes are NOT shareable.

Highly recommend reservations. We found seats at the bar, which is great if they are available, but seating is limited. Their wine list and cocktail menu were awesome. We especially liked the "Not Just Yet." Our bartender was excellent and very helpful in making choices. We started with a the Potato Gnocchi which was amazing. For our main we shared the Creekstone Ranch bone-in ribeye, which is meant for two. Apparently this is in limited supply each night because it was sold out when the couple next to us tried to order right after. After tasting it we knew why. This was one of the best steaks I have ever tasted. Not only is it huge, but was perfectly cooked, extremely tender and juicy, and deliciously seasoned. It melts in your mouth. We wrapped up with the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pavé which was very tasty in it's own right. The whole place was perfect for a romantic or celebratory night out.

We really loved our experience at Lark. While it's not cheap it's high value and delicious. Had the pork belly and the steak as mains which were outstanding. Loved the oysters (super fresh) and the items from the raw bar. Will be coming back again!!!

Love this restaurant. Always a great experience! My sister in law is a chef and she always wants to come here with me!

I recently went to a farm to table experience at Lark and had an amazing dinner and an all around good time. Awesome people, great service and an amazing vibe in a perfect space. I can't wait to go back and sit in the downstairs dining room. All fresh and beautifully prepared and presented!

Our second time at Lark - this time for wife's birthday. It was a relatively busy Thursday evening. Our server was initially attentive, but then as the dinner service got busier, we were left waiting a long while between drinks, apps/starters, salads and main courses. My wife's salmon was terrific. My hangar steak was too rare and served warm, not hot. Garnishes and plating was really sparse. The arugula salad with heirloom tomatoes was awesome. My biggest issue was with the oyster service from the 'raw bar' - served at absolute room temperature, no ice. The raw oysters were warm and unappetizing. Not good. Overall, I left feeling hungry. With a few tune ups, I think Lark could really shine.

Delicious and creative menu. I highly recommend the scallops and the Mexican pot de creme.

Lark was a wonderful first meal in Seattle. I would absolutely recommend. We ate upstairs and really enjoyed the ambiance. We started with the Carman Ranch Steak Tartare which was excellent. Tartare had great flavor and came with delicious crackers.I also got a couple oysters which were to die for. They were super flavorful and were a little buttery which I really enjoyed. For dinner we had a venison special and a duck special both of which were excellent. Dinner was a bit pricy but overall was a very good meal! Definitely recommend if in the area.

The foie gras was sooo delicious....

Great fresh salads and fish. Owner is very nice woman who is engaging but not intrusive. Waitress was able to recite the entire menu and added in the little details you always like to know (ginger, garlic, cilantro, parsley, onion, etc) and some prep details. Solid wine list. Ask for table in back.

Really good pacific Northwest classics. Warm ambience and friendly staff.

Michael Kleven

A very nice place. Great food and service. Wish the neighborhood were nicer and parking was easier to find. But such is life.

Jodi Deprizio

Great cocktails, food, and service!

Lost in Time

Great food. Only I left a little hungry still. The meal was small for the large price.

Betty McIntosh

Italian restaurant, pricy, but food is ok

David Ellis

One of my favorite restaurants in seattle. Great clean and simple cooking of fresh ingredients in small, shareable portions. They also have a wonderful brunch!

Ann Fasano

Superb food, very pleasant atmosphere.

Lydia Stewart

Mediocre menu and food quality. The menu read well but was executed poorly. No pricing on the website. Transactional service.

Kathy Bergin

Great experience. Oysters, caviar and champagne. Great bar staff.

Heather Skeehan

The charcuterie and crudo was lovely. The happy hour is stellar! Great option for an early dinner!

James Provance

This place was totally amazing!

The meal was quite good but the overall dinner was very slow. I don't know if this was the intent but keep in mind to discuss this if you have some timelines to meet.

The bartenders were making their Bloody Mary inconsistently and upon asking for a spicy one, it tasted like I was drinking straight Tabasco sauce. They weren't familiar with Espresso Martini but proceeded to just take a guess and serve a bizarre concoction featuring whiskey and Bailey's. The food was good.
