As you can read, it reaches an opinions average is really high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the evaluation is very credible. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Chicken restaurant.
Best fried chicken I've ever had. If you get sides grab some salt and pepper. Food is cheap for the amount you get. They don't have alcohol and fountain drinks are a bit expensive so we got our drinks at the convenient store next door.
Decent food. A bit pricy for the portion size, and no option to get just chicken. Original chicken was dry and a little flavorless, but the spicy chicken was great. Service was unbelievably slow, to the point where I justify removing a full star for it. I had a simple order of 4 pieces of chicken, and it took around 30 minutes to prepare, even though all the chicken was out under the heat lamps.
Best Chicken....no wonder why Oprah’s fat!
The staff could ruthlessly kick me in the balls and I'd still give them 5 stars. Good chicken
Good stuff every time!
Chicken here is absolutely delicious. Great place if you're on a budget and craving chicken. The wait can be long, but it's totally worth it
Full of flavor. Right what I needed to hit the spot. It filled me up with warmth and good taste.
Ezells chicken is always my number 1
Always delicious! And really cheap for what you get
It's worshipped here but it's just okay, it's tough to find better in Seattle though, and they are fast with good service
The best fried chicken
I use to stop by very often, service is great, food delicious, only this time chicken was over Cooked, pieces were too dark
I’m from Louisiana. This was just bad. That’s all I can say. Very overpriced too.
My favorite fried chicken in the whole city.
Okay yall. This is literally one of the best fried chicken places in the world. I usually go here once or twice a month, and if I lived closer, I would come more. The chicken tenders are amazing, as are the cajun fries. It's cheap, really quick service, and just so yummy. Would definitely recommend. Just not around lunchtime during the school year because all the kids from the local highschool go here and it is packed (still only a 15 min service).
Absolutely one of the best I've tried
Chicken is spicy or mild. Chicken tastes great, rolls not so much.. Popeyes biscuits are much tastier.
I absolutely love this place. Fried chicken at its finest, whether you like it spicy or not. The bread (baked in a muffin pan) that comes with the chicken is phenomenal. Relatively quick prep, you're not waiting long after your order generally. It's a place where you order food and get out, in your car and go home. I don't think there's an area in which you can sit and eat, unless you're eating in your car. I don't think there's a public restroom. I personally never stayed and ate at this location though, to me, it doesn't seem that sort of place.
The chicken is just unbelievable. Ordered the chicken tenders and it was the best I've had in m entire life.
The best ever
Freshly fried gizzards and okra - wonderful!!
Some flavorless fried chicken. Got original and spicy, I'm thinking the spice in the spicy was just salt and pepper cuz the original didn't have any seasoning. The rolls were delicious and the coleslaw was good. I would probably try some of their other sides but I'm not wasting calories on that chicken.
Always on point. Can't wait til next Friday. (Chicken day)
Chicken tasted funny like old grease and the mac and cheese was oily
This place has a great take on fried chicken. Their gravy is great and reminds me of the gravy back home in Louisiana. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because I the quality of the chicken is somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes the chicken is made perfect and sometimes it is a little soggy and subpar. Still a great place to eat.
Food was okay. Was sad they did not have a place to sit down to eat. We came on the motorcycle.
Over priced under seasoned. And there's a line of locals pretending its the greatest fryed chicken in the world. Also played out 1980's commercial about Oprah eating their has gone with the grunge. That should tell you they're still riding "that one time..." Someone said something nice about their chicken. If it were the last place in first hill id go to Renton for Mcnuggets.
The place to go for delicious fried chicken and side dishes.
Ok the food is decent. But the service no so much. I don't necessarily blame them because it seems like it's an overcrowded (overrated) place. I'd advice ordering online before getting there if you don't want to wait forever (like me).
Great food. Got there right before the high school lunch rush, thank goodness. Dont go weekdays during high school lunch!
Meh. I’ve had Wayyy better chicken than this. Overrated for the chicken but the service, atmosphere and overall feel of ezell is worth the price alone. P.s the white meat is horribly dry.
Great chicken and salads
This place is classic. Their chicken tenders are to die for.
Very friendly staff, but the chicken and breading doesnt seem as good as the fremont location for some reason
Chicken was too dry, like you bite into the thigh and it felt like a pocket of air, not much substance to it. Maybe it was a bad batch, but wasn't impressed. I definitely prefer Popeye's, even Safeway & Fred Meyer fried chicken is juicier. I ate 3 out of the 5 thighs to force myself, and totally forgot I had 2 leftover, that just means it wasn't that good to remember about it.
This place has gone downhill. $25 and a 15 minute wait for overcooked chicken and undercooked okra. But their parking lot was full. Go figure.
Best chicken I've had in a very long time. Okra, potatoes & gravy, Cajun fries, and slaw. All of which was 10/10 Try it out.
Man..I am about to pass out. Get the spicey chicken!
I'm in love with the chicken strips!
My daughter and I popped in for a bite. Of course there was a short line when we entered, by the time we ordered and walked to the end counter for pick up, there was a line just out of the door. Good eats happen here. I would hope that the cashier could be a bit more lively. I could tell from her body posture and facial expression that she was 1. irritated 2. had a long day 3. didn't want to be at work Good Food cheers you as will a pleasant attitude.
Pro-tip: They dont have seats so prepare to take your food to go. Also make sure you get the potato salad. Still as good as ever. Best Fried Chicken in Seattle!
Spicy chicken is amazing, try with a jalapeno.
Still good. Have not been in Seattle in 10 years. Had to try Ezells. Still good. Best chicken.
Some of my favorite fried chicken. I always order the spicy batter. I never have understood the whole "chicken tenders" thing -- I find that chicken to be dry. Dark meat (with bone) seems the way to go -- always juicy and delicious. The sides are just "okay" -- nothing special. The rolls are fine, though a bit too sweet for my taste.
Food is good. Customer Service needs some improvement.
One of the best friend chicken places in all of WA State. Ya can't beat the best.
If you can wait it's great. A little expensive for take out.
Food taste wonderful. Go with s friend. Carry out. Place is small.
Great southern food like fried chicken and okra. Go with the spicy than original. You will be licking your fingers. Enjoy this great fried and greasy deliciousness with your friends and family.
As always - great! Ezell's has been our go to place for fried chicken.
Worste ezells chicken joint ive ever been to. The chicken was tough. Flavorless. There was was seemed like 2 layers of deep fry on it. My "fresh baked" muffin was luke warm at best. The line was huge. The employees barely spoke English and had zero regards for the customers. Will not be back. Terrible. Absolutely aweful.
Food is nasty. It's not like it use to be I don't even want to give a 1 star because the food is nasty
I love this fried chicken. This is my favorite chicken in Seattle. I always get the spicy. It's perfectly spiced, not too hot, really crunchy on the outside and very flavorful and moist inside. They dont have biscuits, theirs are rolls and they are heavenly light and fluffy. My favorite sides are their potato salad and cole slaw. These both taste like someone's grandmother made them. Their chicken peices are much bigger than most other places. Only problem with the one I go to is its strictly takeout.
Its good, expensive, kinda, fresh, love the staff, but the legs are better, definitely the spicy chicken! Lol see what I did there!
Not sure why this place is so popular. Honestly it's good chicken but it tastes okay. Not mind blowing like I was made to believe.
Extremely slow service for mediocre fried chicken. Prices are reasonable, but staff are inefficient and there's nothing special about the food
I order from door dash, foods always hot and tasty! Thanks much!
So while the chicken is great be prepared to wait while the cashier punches in DoorDash orders while you wait sometimes 15 minutes.
The fried chicken was tasty but the fried gizzards were greasy (oil dripping) and fried okra was soggy. I had the same meal at Renton location and it was better in my opinion.
Even us folks from the south love this place.
This place is my favorite, always good chicken. Service may be a little straight forward but know what you want ahead of time and you'll do just fine. Try your food extra crispy because its tops!
Not as good as it used to be, spicy chicken tenders aren't spicy anymore, rolls taste weird and the coleslaw is watery and tasteless. Time to go somewhere else for good fried chicken
I like Ezell's. Their food is comfort food. I wish they had apple or pecan pie, or maybe blackberry cobbler.
The food is good and came on time I used uber eat I didn't go in person.
The food is always fresh. I'm personally a sucker for those rolls. The best part is that they have my order up so quickly. I love these guys! Great chicken restaurant. my boyfriend and I really love coming back here.
I expected so much more after hearing people rave about the chicken and even Oprah has it flown into Chicago. Breading had absolutely no flavor. Its just covered with flour and fried. I have had chicken from all over the U.S. and this was by far the worst I've ever had. I've even gotten food poisioning from chicken 2 different times and I enjoyed the chicken that made me sick more than this. Fries, mac and cheese, and biscuits were very good so props for that.
When I moved to Seattle from the south everyone was like "oh, you've gotta try Ezell's!" I don't get the obsession with this place from the Seattle population. The only thing I can think of is that people raving have never had REAL southern fried chicken. Because folks, this ain't it. There is ZERO flavor to the chicken. You have GOT to season your fried chicken. Someone should tell them that. The mashed potatoes are weird and watery, so I'm assuming they're some sort of instant mixture. The rolls were actually not bad. But I'm not going to go to a place simply for their rolls. I guess I have to wait for my visits back to the south to get real fried chicken.
I've known about this place forever since I went to HS across the street and am actually the original artist who created their logo/slogan for the Garfield messenger back in '84. The original recipe I think is still intact, but consistency sometimes varies. I also run into them being out of sides frequently. But that said it's a decent fried chicken with an awesomely amazing chicken logo
Best chicken...EVER
Amazing people. Terrific place. Awesome food!!!
Good old fashioned soul-food.
Spicy chicken strip are the best. Cool staff too.
I get the chicken today the chicken was not fresh and very very dry , chicken was overly seasoned i threw away almost all the chicken
OMG, served piping hot. The chicken was so crispy on the outside and still super juicy on the inside. Would highly recommend.
The food is amazing. My friend told me about this place and highly recommended it. The girl at the counter was extremely helpful too. If only I could remember her name. I told her it was my first time here and she helped recommend a few things. Made the process very helpful. Thank you. Great food, great place to eat!!!
Local chicken joint with soul food sides. Great taste you should try the pie.
Get the spicy chicken. It has better flavor and not really that spicy.
Best fried chicken hands down
Legendary place in Seattle. For when you need your fried chicken fix...
For some reason I pay for extra rolls $.79 a pop...They always say they'regoing to fix the issues...They never give it to me and never honor it when I return and ask for it. Rainier Ave.....please get it together- Pretty pricey!
Delicious and locally-owned fried chicken. Great prices too. Better and cheaper than any of those gentrified chicken places that are popping up everywhere.
I got the snack pack to try it out.The chicken was dry and not very flavorful. The roll was sub par and the Mac and cheese was OK.I will try again with different pieces hot sauce and crinkle fries. Why? Because that's what everyone else was ordering and it was crowded in there.I make better chicken tho ,and will be frying my own if I get a serious craving.
Love love love Ezelles! Great chicken awesome potatoes salad quick service and cool employees! I'll be eating there many more times
Best chicken and fixin's around
ezells is an old favorite. It a bit on the greasy side. The reason I go here is for the gizzards which are had to find. If your in a light mood go with the spicy snack pack chicken breast. If you order gizzards they will take a bit longer with your order.
Classic CD. Get the spicy recipe.
Kind of salty. This is apparently Oprah's favourite fried chicken, but it isn't mine.
Always good food !
I have been going to ezell's since i was two. Everything about that place is amazing.
Overrated..but im a Southerner born and raised so my tastes are a bit on the flavored side. The ezells fried chicken is ok but better than the tenders which could use a little revival..bland. Rolls ..now those are good actually. Prices a bit much for portion size. If i spend over 25.00 plus tax on a 2pc chicken meal with roll for one with a small cobbler dessert..add a 3 pc tender no sides just to try them, hell i expect more in portions and the flavor should at least pick up the slack if portions arent going to get you full.
Chicken is very expensive extremely greasy no flavor whatsoever, and more often then not the fountain drinks are water down or flat making them disgusting and migraine triggering. Also be careful about what time of day you eat here. Garfield students jam pack this place when they have lunch. In conclusion, People that have more money than brains blow their money on junk eating like ezells.
the best chicken in the world wish they would move one up in Bellingham.
I paid 14.50 for a half pound of gizzards, some cajun fries and a kids one piece of chicken and a roll. The breast didnt have much meat, but it was tasty. We enjoyed the fries and gizzards, but they still seemed over price. These must be the effects of gentrification...
My chicken is always fresh and hot. Cajun fries are my new favorite!
Really good chicken when it's good. Lately, the quality has really taken a downturn at the main location. Lukeworm and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. Got sick the last 3 times I've had it and even though I crave it everytime I drive by, I just don't want to risk getting sick again. Your chicken is really good. Please keep up with cleanliness and quality control.
Every day I drive past and think that I should stop and get some chicken. Used to years ago.Today I got some lunch. It was terrible chicken. Dry, batter brittle ( asked for original), beans to see, Mac and cheese just okay and the bun was good. Service fast. Food was slightly warm. Next time Safeway or ( this shows how bad) Kentucky... So disappointed.
This southern girl just found fried chicken bliss in the PNW!!! Ordered a 1/2&1/2 - 4 pc dinner: both spicy and original were crunchy on the outside and hot and juicy on inside. Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of grandmas oven. Drizzled some honey in the rolls and could have eaten a dozen. Mashed potatoes and gravy were just okay, but overall was a fantastic dinner.
Never fails to impress me, literally the best fried chicken I've ever had
There's Church's and Popeye's, but then there's Ezell's. I love each for different reasons, but I loves me some Ezell's white meat chicken, and I hate white meat! Ever get that taste and just post up in the parking lot til the doors open? Yeah, that's me right now! Open open open... LOL
Great food alone a slow side
Not a great location or parking lot. Food is good. Vibe isn't.
Food is delightful...
It's good 10 out of 10
What can I say that hasn't been said by a million people already. This place has fried chicken down. I love the spicy tenders it's a perfect blend of spiciness. The rolls are bomb and if you get there early enough to get the Mac and cheese DO IT. Mashed potatoes are a close second for me, but that Mac and cheese though... This location is pretty much always crazy and always has a line, but it's all worth it
Do not eat here! I am not sure why this place is famous, the food is just okay, you have to wait a long time to get your food, and the place is very dirty. They may not even have the food you want at all! The only good thing about this place is that it's cheap and fried food. When I ate there, they were out of most of the menu items. After I ordered, I had to wait 20 minutes for fast food! The food tasted like any fried food I could make at home. Even the sauce they use is just store bought from Nature Valley. Very disappointing!
Their staff is very helpful and nice but they do need some improvement
They achieved an excellent rating by dept of health. The chicken is hit and miss. Unfortunately, it happens to many restaurants that have a lot of traffic. Last time I visited, it was good. This time, customer service was good. This is Ezells but does not appear to be owned by the Ezell so that's kind of a bummer. Bathroom was clean and that's a plus.
Store was filthy, staff was lazy/apathetic and did not care to serve customers with any sense of urgency. Got order wrong after making us wait 45 mins for 2 combos and a kids meal. Completely unacceptable.
Good fried chicken, not the best I've ever had but pretty damn good.
Pretty good chicken. However, when you order a side of mac & cheese and after you get home you find they gave you corn instead... it bumps the score down. Call me crazy but I expect to get what I ordered.
Chicken's great. Dont 4get a faygo.
Usually a favorite having lived in Seattle all my life. Chicken was very salty and just didn't deliver in flavor. Okra tasted like oil could have been old. None the less we will continue to go back. We all have off days.
Fast and comfortable food. Average taste.
Good food, but no place to sit down to eat. I was forced to eat in the car.
I've been going here since I was a kid, I always love it:) my favorite side is the Mac n cheese
Terrible customer service and the food's not that great. Won't be going back!!
It's good I wish there was one close I live 3 hours away
good chicken, service was alright. but it took a little while. everything i had was great though and i am definitely craving some again and will be back. a seattle classic
Great classic Seattle fried chicken place. Cheap prices, great chicken, and unreal rolls.
Great chicken mean staff
Famous for fried chicken liver
Everything was awesome especially the customer service. Just no spicy chicken
This place is way too overpriced for the food it serves. It's a glorified KFC. Their chicken is definitely crispy and has a pretty good flavor, but the sides lackquite a bit of flavor and are like eating a stick of straight butter. They nickel and dime you for everything here, $0.35 for a little packet if honey? Every little thing they nickel and dime you for after they already charge you a fortune just to make a meal. And at this location next to Garfield High School, they are extremely rude. I tried to order over the phone and the lady was super rude to me even though I knew exactly what I wanted. I said I'd take my business somewhere else and hung up. I'll probably save some money too lol.
The food was awesome. The peach cobbler very runny and doughy
Worst chicken tenders I've ever eaten. Tasted like grease sticks no flavor, except grease. Lynnwood location is 100 times better.
This chicken is Superdry Ezell's need to get over it that Oprah visit over 30 years ago news flash she's on Weight Watchers
Great chicken. Always busy. Because of the great chicken of course.
Recommend the spicy over original. Minimal flavor with original.
Really good chicken. No good place to sit down and eat unfortunately.
I freakin' love the soft buns! I want it for breakfast. I can live with just those heavenly buns for days. I can imagine myself in an apocalypse daydreaming about those buns. And the crispy skin of the fried chicken? Hmmmmm.... Gosh, my midsection is not going to be happy with me... Ok, enough self-indulgent food porning.. I went to the 23rd location across from Garfield High. It wasn't busy so I was able to place my order and got the chickens to go in under 15 minutes. Note that there is no dine-in set-up at this branch so if you are going, be prepared to eat in your vehicle. I can't wait to come back!
Best chicken anywhere, but no water glasses.
best fried chicken and buns in Seattle
Friendly service great chicken. Mac and cheese wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Service was really fast.
I left Seattle 14 yrs ago and I used to miss this chicken soooooo much!!! So when I came back this year my sister "ask are you hungry?" I said. "Yea after riding 5hrs on a plane eating pnuts and Pepsi I'm famished and the only cure for it is Ezells." I craved that chicken for 14 hold years!! So when I got my order needless to say it still is THEE BOMB! I Damn near ate the bones!!
Hella wacc, got to step your chiccen game up
It was snowy out so pretty quick stop but even when they are busy it's pretty quick!
LOVE the spicy chicken tenders. And the mashed potatoes are wonderful.
The wait was like like 25 minutes, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Food is delicious!
