pleasantly drifting

They are so so so cheap and stingy when preparing their food. My two salad had the shell on the bottom cut out, no beans, a trace of sour cream and cheese, just a ton of lettuce, no dressing. The nachos were mostly chips instead of toppings. Even the burrito was sad. I love Mexican cuisine but this seemed like a broke college kid made this out of their dorm room not a restaurant.

When you first walk into Don Lobos Mexican Grill don't be intimidated. They have the best service and their waitresses are the kindest people I have ever met. The food is simple but delicious, you can tell that it’s fresh and it’s made right then and there. I have never once thought that I would ever have to make a review about a restaurant but Don Lobos has changed that for me. Don Lobos made me the best food I have had in a long time.

Just had lunch at Don Lobos. It was delicious. I really enjoyed the chicken taco. The chicken was shredded and cooked in some sort of tomato-y sauce. It was much more than the plain chicken taco I was expecting. The service was great. I will definitely be back there often!

Queso fundido was good. When we asked for an extra tortilla, they said it would be three extra dollars. Seriously? The enchiladas were very standard fare, and the rice and beans were mediocre. Overall, everything was a little expensive (to be expected in Georgetown) for very average food.

Had the fajitas. Great mix of veggies and a generous helping of beans. Would have been great to have more guacamole with the meal, but not a deal breaker. Tasty salsa with a smoky flavor and great spices. Only thing I wish they'd add is Bohemia beer. I hope I get to visit again.

This is the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I normally don't love enchilada sauce, but these enchiladas blew me away. Everything was bursting with flavor and the perfect mix of spices. Homemade food with personality. And be sure to get the churros for dessert! Could not say enough about this place.

My friend and I went here instead of El Centro because the menu looked much better, and I must say Don Lobos gained two new customers! We both had the delicious fajitas (seasoned well thank God)--our food came out quickly and was sizzling hot. The margaritas were great. The chips and salsa were very tasty as well. We were the only patrons, but it was also late on a Monday night. We'll definitely be back soon.

Horrible!! Nachos didn’t have anything, no meat, no cheese, just the dam chips. Rice has no flavor. Tacos, they aren’t even real Mexican Taco. They are American tacos .Honestly this is why people hate Mexican food because of places like these. I also waited a long period of time.

As a native Houstonian, I know good Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants like the back of my hand. While their quesadillas were good, the rice and beans were bland, and all four of the types of enchiladas I tried were mediocre at best (not enough sauce or cheese on top of them is the top reason why I found them to not be very good). The prices are okay, and it's one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area that I know of that delivers, but with all the bland flavors my dishes had, I will most likely not be ordering from here again.

After walking around DC all day all we wanted was to relax with good margaritas and good Mexican food. We walked 2 miles from our hotel to try Don Lobos. It was the worst Mexican we have ever had! We paid $35 for four disgusting margaritas. My husband's nachos were the size of an appetizer. My tacos el carbon were chewy and very tough. We were even more disappointed when our bill came and it was $62. stay away, seriously how do you mess up mexican???

Wow! I have never in my life had to spit out chips and salsa before this place. The quesadilla was alright. Not a great experience. It tasted warm and putred. Go for the quesadilla, make sure to avoid the chips and salsa.

We had avoided this place because it never seemed busy when we walked by -BIG MISTAKE! Finally after 5 years I decided to give it a try on the recommendation of a Latin friend. It is our new favorite hidden gem! The Santa Fe burrito and the twin burritos were delicious! The inside of the restaurant is quaint but very charming. I suspect they will be seeing us very often!!! Thanks and props to a great wait staff too...seated, served, and out of there in record time! Loved it!

I've only eaten Don Lobos' food once. I ordered delivery -- spinach enchiladas. The enchiladas themselves weren't bad (generally good taste), but the accompanying rice was pretty bland, and the refried beans were inedible. I would also like to note that they were very stingy on the sour cream. I would consider giving them a second chance based on the merits of the enchiladas alone -- everything else I would rate with only one star.

They're quesdillas are good. I wasn't a fan of their burrito mainly because they put potatoes in the burrito (who does that?). The rice and beans that came with the burrito were tasteless.
