I really enjoyed my recent visit to Don Juan. It's a fun restaurant with great food and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food. There are also several large screen television sets playing Spanish-language programs. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Finally, it's located in a convenient area, walkable from the Columbia Heights metro station and right on a bus line.

I had the chicken fajita It Was Eighteen bucks portion size didn't equal 18buck. Food was good though. Portion size wasnt right though.

Super authentic Mexican restaurant in Columbia Heights. There's some pretty crudely painted murals on the walls but they really just add to the charm of the place.

Nice patio area to sit outside, but this is your typical run of the mill Mexican/Salvadoran places. Nothing to write home about but nothing terrible either. Decent friendly service which can be slow at times and the prices are comparable. Not worth a trip across town, but if you are in the area or meeting friends; this place is a good and reliable spot.

Great shrimp soup! Relaxed setting in a fun, all be it noisy; neighborhood in NW DC. Indoor and patio seating available. You must try the Coronaitta...that's right a Corona and a Margarita in one glass!!

I love the patio seating here, a huge redeeming quality! The menu is very long, which is something I'm always wary of. We all got pupusas, except our poor vegetarian friend who got veggie tacos which looked like the pieces of vegetable decor which gets added as plate filler perched atop a tortilla. All that to say we won't be coming here again with veggie friends. The pupusas however were very good as they tend to be. We split a pitcher of the house margarita which was shamefully small for $30, if they were to remedy this issue I'd give them an extra star.

This is for sure a local favorite. Their menu is pretty big so you have a lot of options. Their pricing is on point. So if you want a lot of good food for a cheap price, this is your place.
