We've got the opinions of people who have information of the products of Damn the Weather (Restaurant) in Washington.
As of day the firm gets a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and the score was based on 774 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is really high, and it's founded on a large number of reviews, so we can be quite sure that the rating is very reliable. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of New American restaurant.
Highly disappointed. The food was terrible. I have got summer squash with egg on top. The squash was cold and the egg on top was way undercooked. The drinks were pretty bad too - smelled and tasted like a cheap alcohol. Maybe just a bad day. But there were not many other customers at around 9pm. The only saving grace - it looks pretty cozy inside.
Excellent food. Definitely worth a stop for small plates and beer.
Great atmosphere, and service is always friendly when I'm there. The chicken fat fries are absolutely delicious and worth coming for those alone. I've only had the hamburger there, but its delicious every time, especially with a fried egg!
Beautiful brick walled room with high ceilings. Great hip spot for late night. Was able to catch last 2 seats at a communal table for a couple cocktails on a Friday night.
The food was lovely. Tried a few small plates and oysters. The bartender was knowledgeable and attentive, even with the place completely packed. We sat at the bar, but it looked like the tables were receiving good service, as well. A major plus: there are outlets all over under the bar!
Great good and great staff. On the pricey side even for Seattle.
This is a fun little place but the price for happy hour drinks are higher than in other locales. I enjoyed my visit but I'm not sure I'll return, due to the price.
Delicious and interesting craft cocktails. Equally delicious, if spendy, food options. The ambiance is classic Pioneer Square. Could certainly afford more seating to handle the line that often forms.
High caliber food and drinks. The service is on point. Recommended.
One of my favorite Pioneer Square restaurants with a fantastic natural wine menu.
The fries were so good and our drinks were stellar too.
Cozy bar with varied cocktail menu and elevated bar snacks. Bar tender was friendly and offered to replace my drink that he noticed I was sipping (apparently slowly but I was enjoying it!) . Comfortable bar stools with backs and swivel. Get there early or be prepared to wait. Small patio out front but not very useful as the maximum capacity is 8 and there is no cover for the rain (damn the weather!).
Good drinks and atmosphere, ok food.
It's a nice space. Service was good. Guy went out of their way to please everyone. For $8 you get a thimble of beer.
The Tipperay is my new favorite drink
Great time, great atmosphere
Small, cozy establishment in Pioneer Square that serves locally sourced food. The menu changes to accommodate the available food. Focus is sharing small plates. DO NOT MISS the hush puppies! Best ever! The cheese platter was also scrumptious. Splitting the burger was a bit messy, but the ample serving of fries made it a viable sharing dish. (I do wish the kitchen would have cut the burger, the table knife made a bit of a mess.) Cocktails we're deliciously interesting and they also have out of the ordinary beer in bottled and on tap.
I can't remember the last time I went somewhere where the food was so good that I forgot to take a photo, but the grilled pea tendrils and chicken fat fries here were just too irresistible. And get this: The wine selection is even better, being natural but not fussy or ostentatious. The genuinely friendly and attentive service completes the vibe. My first visit, but now a mandatory stop wherever I'm in Seattle.
Very limited lunch menu that is overpriced. The service was wonderful but since I showed up with six people they decided to calculate a mandatory tip into my total. Pretty offensive practice, IMO. The quality seemed to be there but the value was not. Too many better options in the area to bother coming here...
Trendy up-and-coming establishment. I particularly liked their cocktails and croquettes.
Had great meal solo dining while on a business trip. The surrounding area is a bit rough, think Vancouver Downtown-Eastside, but the food was awesome and the staff were nice. The steak I had was better than some I've had at twice the price. Spicy beans and shrimp were perfect. Charcuterie plate was solid: great rhubarb mustard and terrines in there. Casual and not too quiet.
Great spot for delicious food and drinks in Pioneer Square.
Came for happy hour. Good beer selection. Nice atmosphere.
Call for your cab early because you will happily be hammered in no time, damn the bartenders who give those long pours and smile during the muddles.
Great place. We hit it at a weird moment and had weird service, but the food and beer selection was exquisite.
Wait staff were fabulous and food that I ordered was delicious. I didn’t grasp the concept that gastro pub meant few food options, but an busy vibe non the less. Make a reservation or hang out on the patio, street watching is pure entertainment!
Nice little bar with a bit of food on the menu. Friendly staff and good cocktails.
The cocktails here are so amazing and original! I had this gin old fashioned. I loved it so much I had another bar try and recreate it! The chicken fat fries were delicious also. I want to come back for dinner one night!
Little pricey but food is great and the drinks are fantastic. Great service.
Chicken fat french fries might be the death of me, but it will be a happy death. I had amazing mussels and my partner had the freshest oysters she's ever tasted. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here.
Great service, cool environment, however the menu is lackluster and the prices are very high.
Friendly bar staff good drinks fun easy nice place to chill when the crowds on the pier are to much
Cool casual place to have a drink or quick bite to eat.
Went there before the underground seattle tour,. Not busy, but every thing seems to close in Seattle at 7 pm
Damn the Weather has really good craft cocktails backed by super friendly staff and excellent food, great menu, atmosphere, drinks, and service.
Great atmosphere, dim candle light makes the vintage bricks and wooden bar very approachable at night. Not quite upscale dining, more like Gastropub with almost no draught beer, good craft cocktails and above average fare. Be prepared to wait a bit for a table or even a seat at the bar at normal dinner times. The staff is nice, but not the most chatty. Understandable, considering when we've visited, it was pretty packed.
Just had drinks and snacks, the gin and tonic was totally unique and interesting as was the Bitters and POG. French fries in chicken fat was great and loved the oysters.
Great, well-balanced cocktails. Food is a little pricey for small portions. Likely a wait during peak times.
The ambiance and food is great. Prices are pretty steep because they have some pretty unique offerings. Not a place to come for a late night affordable snack. But rather it's more of a place you bring your date to wind down your night and have good conversation over a cheese platter. Good service too. I'd come back.
A friend of mine tricked me into coming here to try the "fancy" Malort. The problem was, it's still Malort. Friends don't let friends try Malort... thankfully Damn the Weather has many other wonderful cocktails to help you wash the Malort out of your mouth!
Awesome little bar with limited outdoor seating. Unique craft cocktails for about an average Seattle price! Happy hour makes them a great deal.
With our group of 4 it felt like we tried almost every food option on the menu. We really enjoyed the options and the drink menu was on point! It's a smaller place so plan on a wait but there are plenty of places nearby to kill time.
Nice set up. Extremely helpful waitresses and good food. Amount is ok but not a lot.
Small, intimate and low key
Cozy, great vibes, attention to detail. The cocktails were amazing, the beet salad is the best I've ever had and the spaghetti will surprise you in a good way. Highly recommend!
Amazing. The burger was delicious and the fries with aioli are the best in the city!
Nope. The happy hour prices are way too steep. It's crowded, crunched, bad traffic flow, the seats are uncomfortable, the first drink I ordered was undrinkable. The second one was OK. Service was meh. Hard pass.
Excellent ever changing menu and they always have a Cloudburst Brewing IPA on tap
Cool happy hour spot. Will return.
Short but awesome menu and the cocktails were fantastic. We enjoy spirit forward with difestiv's and/or bitters and were not disappointed.
Loved the food an drinks. I love that their menu changes almost daily. Service was good. I'll definitely be back to try their new menu items.
The food was good. Although the menu was a bit limited. The service was great. I dropped my napkin and before I could pick it up the server was there with a new one. The best cheese plate as a dessert I have ever had by the way. And a free shot to boot!
Love going here for the ambiance and food/drink selection. However $18 for a cheese plate that doesnt have enough crackers for the sparse amount fo cheese is a bit much.
Lovely place to grab a cocktail before or after dinner. Menu looked nice but didn't end up eating. Cozy and relaxed environment.
I’ve always been a huge fan of DTW. Last night I brought a bunch of people there to hang out and within 20 minutes one of the biggest a-holes in Seattle showed up and unfortunately was an employee. Never going back again.Never recommending. Not sure what happened to this town. Get over yourselves DTW.
A smaller bar with limited seating, this place has very distinguishing drinks. A little pricey, but some very interesting concoctions for sure. The food choices aren't as much as you would hope, and the serving size is a little on the small size, but it's still pretty good. Usually a line here since there's not a ton of seating, but worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.
An amazing spot with superb twists on classic cocktails, plus a few adventurous ones, and a delectable menu with inspired twists on classic dishes.
Damn it!
good place. amazing tasting food. very less vegetarian options though. The falafel Burger was good but the menu keeps changing
Very nice bar, good cocktails and beers. Enjoyable
We wandered on at the right time because the bartender was testing out some new things and let us taste! Really cool people and I recommend the mushroom sandwich.
The burger, with bacon and friend egg added, was absolutely incredibly delicious.
Ideal drink with super food options. Sat at bar comfortably with other chill solo people and couples coming and going. Enjoyed the gin blossom old fashioned and especially loved the mushroom fettuccine. Friendly quick service from Emily.
Great food and atmosphere. Came here with my wife and mother in law, and we all had a great time.
Everything is so well executed.
Great drinks, delicious food, amazing staff!
Excellent! Food was delicious. Service at the bar was extra special. The bartender was very knowledgeable about the beer. Once he found out what I liked, he made spot on suggestions for what I should order. Also took the time to recommend other beer tasting rooms in Belltown where I was staying. Each recommendation was a winner. I will definitely come back here next time I'm in Seattle.
Great drinks and friendly bartenders
Not a very welcoming environment for our group, and the food wasn't great. Don't bring a big group here.
Never went here because they gave away our reservation without informing us.
This is one of those hip restaurants in Seattle. Somewhat European, somewhat Asian, somewhat American. Good selection of wine and beer. They have good ciders from Europe, too. I liked the one from Spain with a funky finish. The food is unique and original. Would love to come back.
Great food, intimate place. A friend said it was the best food in the area and I have to agree.
Great menu and good ambiance.
We found this place a bit by accident. It was not clear what it was from Google Maps which called it an upmarket gastro pub. We looked at another place nearby but it had sports on large screens and a barman there recommended Damn the Weather. And we are pleased he did. Great room with high ceilings and both excellent food and drink. I have always been intrigued by American Biscuit as opposed to the British type and they had a fine example. My daughter had cauliflower burger and my wife a pork salad. Both also excellent. The beer was extremely interesting and unusual too. Very well done place.
This is a favorite watering hole of mine. The drinks are solid, the food is A1 awesome, and the service is amazing. I am no longer in the neighborhood and I still come back just for this place.
Lively, very popular spot with the 20-something crowd. On a quieter day (if you can find one, or just go early), a great place for a beer, quick bite or well-made cocktail.
Cool atmosphere and awesome food. Get the bread, the butter is amazing!
A preferred evening place. Looking forward to going back again. The bill was well within reason for the quality.
really great -- nice wine list, my husband loved his cocktail, and the food was really well done. Very friendly service, cool interior.
Good service, interesting food, cocktails and beer
Great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The schmaltz French fries were delicious and they really know their way around a cocktail. It's a small place though. If you show up with more than four people you're going to be waiting a while.
Nice atmosphere, really good freshly made food (even at lunch!), friendly server, and good drinks. A bit pricey if you're watching your wallet, but for downtown also very average for cost.
Good service. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Salmon special was excellent.
Great atmosphere and amazing service.
Love sitting outside on a lovely Seattle day with a cool drink and good food.
Beautiful place, great cocktails. Food was okay
Good food and drinks
Good food, a little artsy fartsy. Noisy during happy hour.
Very good cocktails
Fairly limited menu, cauliflour burger was good, small fry serving.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Portions were big, and really good value. So much flavor. Highly recommended.
Good food, good drinks, good gods, let's eat.
I liked the atmosphere and the menu. Drinks are awesome.
cozy spot for drinks & small bites
Great location, good service, wine specials. I got the nicoise salad with smoked halibut (I think). Between the smoked fish, the olives, and the dressing it was a bit salty for my taste, but still delicious and I ate every bite.
Good for happy hours only avg food.
Very limited veg options and some of the options were unavailable. My colleague burger was half cooked, i will not recommend this place.
Good food, friendly staff and great cocktails! Is is a great place to meet with a small group of friends.
Servers weren't the most friendly, and I did try to engage my bartender a bit but she seemed happier enjoying her momentary break in the hustle and bustle. That's ok though, we've all been there. Wine was good, a little different than you'd find most places and I definitely appreciated the variety.
Sat down for a weeknight chat with a former coworker. They had a good selection of libations and a wonderful cheese and charcuterie plate to munch. The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to chat about what we might like. I had a great time and would definitely visit again.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. Drinks and food were great as well. Will be back when in the area.
Fair prices, good food, and a decent booze selection right in the heart of downtown.
Good drinks, but a little pricey
Good service and decent food. $200 for four people plus tip. Will come back...
Great cocktails and a really friendly atmosphere, really enjoyed our time here!
A review that I read raved about Damn the Weather, especially their Chicken Fat Fries. I was excited to try these fries, imaging a very crispy, favourable fry! We went on a Monday afternoon, around 2pm and perhaps it wasn’t a good time as there was only one other table seated. Our server was fantastic - very nice and attentive. But our food was otherwise. The fries were lacklustre, not fulfilling any dream I had of them. We ordered the Arctic char, which we imagined would be a small piece of fish, but rather it was flaked and dry, mixed pieces of onions and capers, with large chucks of burnt, inedible pieces of vegetables (I can’t even identify what vegetable it was). Last dis was the soup which we considered the best dish, but the flavour did overpower everything else. Perhaps it we had gone when it was busier and had some cocktails, our food would be better, but that was not my experience. And I shouldn’t have to be drunk to enjoy the food.
Overly hyped cocktail bar. It doesn’t seem that the people working have been properly trained in mixology. Nothing I tasted was that great. Atmosphere is cute, but it seems like things were poured into a glass and not properly mixed (which is the whole point of ordering a cocktail)
Excellent food. Pricey but not terribly so. Reasonable for the quality.
This is a review for last nights dinner service. My partner and I had been wanting to try Damn the Weather for a while and we finally got a chance to do so last night. We arrived a little after 9:30 and were seated immediately, something unexpected for a Saturday dinner service. Our server almost immediately came up and asked for a drink order, we had just sat down and my partner was in the restroom. They came by multiple times in a impersonal, crass way as if our presence was an inconvenience to her. We decided to start with the Sangiovese, the manilla clams and chicken fat fries. The Clams came but with out any hominy which was the second ingredient described on the menu. The clams themself were delicious but it was a let down to not have what you expected from the menu. Also, there were no fries brought out. I gave the server the benefit of the doubt that the table was fairly small and that they were maybe deliberately coursing out what we had order. When they came by to bus our clam dish she asked if we wanted to order any more food without checking in to see how we enjoyed the clams. It was at this time that I realised that she had just forgot to put the order in. This was 30 minutes after we had ordered them. We let her know we were still waiting on the chicken fat fries with fennel pollen. She said that she forgot to put the order in and that they would be out shortly; we also took this time to order the cured meat board and crackers. It was a few more minutes until the fries were delivered by another waiter but they were the wrong fries, it was not what we ordered. It took the server a while to come by so we could let her know once again that it was incorrect. Again, advocating for what we orginally ordered 40 minutes ago seemed to be a significant inconvenience to her. We did not feel welcome. The meat board came out shortly after and it was decent at best, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if there was a sense of sincerity or hospitality throughout the night but any semblance of that faded upon sitting down. We finished our food and asked for the bill to find that nothing was comped. As someone who has worked in the industry as a waiter and bartender for nearly 8 years, this was some of the worst service I've recieved in recent memory. As a server I understand that we all have off days, we are human, but when a bill is 100 dollars and you have to wait 40 minutes for fries there is reason to be upset. The restaurant industry sells more than food, you are crafting an experience from start to finish; please impart that to your staff. I won't be returning anytime soon since the only enjoyable aspect of the experience was the delicious natural wine program and I can easily get a bottle elsewhere. There was so much hype going to this place and I've never been as let down for a place that has recieved such good press in the past. The hype isn't worth it, there are far better restaurants.
A great cocktail bar near the heart of Pioneer Square. Great shareable plates and inventive cocktails in a hip industrial space. Highly recommend their house cocktails. If none appeal to you, they also make a killer Old Fashioned or Monte Carlo.
If there was an award for Best Place To Go On an Intimate Date, I would pick this place. The cocktails are so fancy and delicious, the brickwork is amazing and the mood lighting is on point. Also! If you're not into an intimate date setting, there's a lovely patio as well where you can enjoy some people watching instead.
Really good cocktails and lovely atmosphere
Really lovely vibe in a fun neighborhood. Drinks were excellent! The bartender was super, super friendly. I can't recall his name, but he had lived in Brooklyn for a bit before coming back to Seattle. All around, would return!
Cute place with a n upbeat vibe. Good food &service .j
Seriously amazing. The fennel pollen fries are to die for.
Amazing food, great service and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend the chicken fat lavender fries. Best fries over ever had. Rich and not huge, but given how rich they are, it was the perfect amount. Beer selection is ok, but local for the most part. Cool location in older part of Seattle.
Second time visiting. The service is good and the place is cute. If you go order the burger. That is good. Also good are their salads. Avoid the pasta. Both times the specials have not been good.
Love this place. Small space with a small but varied menu. Definitely must have the chicken fat fries!!
Cocktails are great, but value for money on food is not there, tastes great but really small portions. Too bad.
Great cocktails!
Small, quaint spot. Always go for the creative and delicious craft cocktails. Dinner seems a bit pricey but definitely worth it in my opinion. Love coming here at night to chill out.
$$$/quantity wasn’t great here. Food/drink super expensive, for super small portions. Service was okay, could’ve been better
a pioneer square must visit, damn the weather offers great drinks at happy hour. avoid the crowds, this watering hole is popular with the 9-5 crowd and getting a table will be nearly impossible with a group in tow. if you're in the neighborhood and need a reliable cocktail cozy up at the bar.
Stopped for a quick lunch after getting into town. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Service was prompt. Prices are to be expected for downtown Seattle.
Cool environment. Hip, but not hipster. Dinner specials have outshined lunches so far.
This place is great and me and my friend had the most awesome waitress and the fries with the aioli are great.
Nice atmosphere and the quality of what's offered is really good. Just very expensive and not a lot of options to choose from.
I love this place. Great name - check! Great drinks (this is The Pillow Talk which I love). Their food is also good, tho not gonna lie the bread is my fave. I'm easily pleased I suppose
One of the coolest spots in Seattle. Love the ever changing menu and inventiveness of the chef. Great bartenders and friendly staff.
This was one of the best burgers I've had that I have not made myself! This is a MUST VISIT spot. Bartender was super nice and took care of me.
Good old fashion and tequila cocktails, you can spend nice time talking with friends here!
An amazing spot with superb twists on classic cocktails, plus a few adventurous ones, and a delectable menu with inspired twists on classic dishes.
Great little bar. Went after a show at Theatre Off Jackson. Drinks reasonably priced, but best part we're the fries in chicken fat, dusted with fennel pollen. Amazing!
Great place. I wish we had found it earlier! I had a glass of wine and my wife had a cider from Canada (Victoria I think). We also had a "three cheese" cheese plate, a nice salad and some cured meats. All very good, and the staff was friendly and nice. We sat inside near the window. A good place to rest and eat after a long day of walking.
Good cocktails, but terrible for vegetarians. We went to Damn The Weather hoping for a drink or two and dinner before a show in Pioneer Square. The decor is very trendy and the drinks are good but overpriced even for that area. We looked at the paltry food menu and asked about what could vegan options there were (my date is vegan). We were told that there were no vegan options other than the salad, and if we wanted vegan we should go to another restaurant. From what I could see at 7 pm on a Thursday, no one was ordering anything more than appetizers. We ordered one cocktail each, plus a small bowl of mixed nuts. The drinks were OK; my date's French 75 was overly sweet but my Manhattan was good. If you're looking for somewhere to go in Pioneer Square for a stylish drink and don't mind the prices, this is a good option. Otherwise you have several other choices.
Wonderful atmosphere and employees. Emma and Aaron were very nice and worth the visit alone. We'll definitely be back.
Food and service were great, but the portions are tiny
Charming staff
Not a big menu but I think we offered half the items and they were all good. Good drinks. Can get noisy when crowded
Expensive, even for happy hour. But cute and great location. I loved the fries.
Our waitress was wonderful and cute!
Horribly small portions. A waste of time.
We came for fries, and they disappointed. Drinks were delicious! Portions small (normal? haha), so be ready for that.
Cocktails here are top notch. Ask for an old fashioned made with genever.
Really good, fresh and tasty! With this little je ne sais quoi which makes the food simple but divine! Cozy and welcoming place. It smell so good right when you step in. Service is just perfect ! I will happily go back next time I am in Seattle!
Dodgy. My bowl of pasta was nice, but small. My wife's steak was cold, and small. Pretenders? Perhaps.
Great ambiance, simple but tasty menu and great vibe. Hip but not hipster.
Always great to have a bartender who declares it's his last day and basically ignores you while attending to friends and coworkers. Otherwise drink selection and ambiance are great. Didnt have any food; unclear as to what they want to do with the menu after abandoning the "new orleans" theme
GREAT cocktails. The food is good, but the menu is limited. It’s a nice spot for cocktails and if you have out of town guests. We got there right at the right time to get a table. It’s a cozy spot, with good specials.
Make sure you check ahead with their menu.
Cocktails that are worthy of a Michelin star.
Went there driven by all the good reviews. Maybe the expectations were a bit too high. Jalapeno starter lacked flavor. Other than that, it wasn't bad but not as impressive as expected.
cute spot for drinks & small bite
Great cocktails and fresh bites in pioneer square. Had the typical old industrial look for the area, only the exterior wall has windows so it is a little dark but they have a great patio area outside.
Services and drinks were top notch. Kudos to Emily and Naya for being so friendly, helpful and fun!
I went here for lunch with coworkers, and went in expecting something well prepared and unique given what I've experienced at other Tom Douglas restaurants. I wasn't disappointed! Between the three of us we had a steak salad, steak frites, and a berry salad, and everyone had a mixed drink. We each really enjoyed our entrees, and the drinks were expertly prepared across the board. I'd love to come back for dinner after work sometime, and will definitely be swinging by again for lunch.
This place was a delicious surprise! We randomly decided to go there, and I had the oysters and some delicious cider. I have never had such sweet oysters, and the spicy, lime sauce melded so great with them. I would love to go back to try more of their food, and the waitress was absolutely sweet, attentive, and kind. There is a certain type of atmosphere that I don't necessarily fit into, but despite this, I felt comfortable and at ease. Side note, very interesting building. Brick sides, long and open to the kitchen with a nice bar. I love the look and unique details.
Fun place and amazing Bloody Mary!
