Chevys is a friendly and enjoyable place with remarkably outstanding service and a fabulous menu to include a brunch during the weekend. Bar staff is on point even during the most busiest times. Well ran staff by management. Recommend Chevys for and Pentagon special event or just a night to relax and enjoy a great atmosphere!

Dear Denis, I understand that I asked you in the beginning for separate checks so I didn’t spring that info on you at the end. Yet when I’m literally just getting my food, I don’t want my checks dropped on the table with it. My husband and I were the only table with our bill... It was insulting. I couldn’t even eat after that. I lost my appetite and asked you for a box. As a bartender myself, you probably would’ve gotten a 30% or 50% tip from me. As I usually tip this way when every I come here and Mr. Velasquez is my server or someone else. And I also remember you thinking that it was funny when u dropped the check. It will be a very long time before I return to this place. Thanks for the terrible service. I left u only a dollar in cash just because I saw u personally bring our food. And that is just about what the service was worth, $1.00. The only reason I didn’t ask for a manager is because I have things to do. I also couldn’t help but notice that at the time you dropped my checks on the table, I was your only black customer. I really hoping that was a coincidence. Do better in the future.

I do NOT RECOMMEND coming here because they did not provide clean dishes! very unsanitary, our straws were bent and gross, my friend found chips in our drink and they don’t even provide real Mexican food.

I forgot my waiter name but the waiter was really racist.. she thought I was broke because i look young and I’m 22. But you don’t judge a book by its cover. She even brought me jack Daniels when I asked for henny. The food is sooo good but the racist rude waiter makes the place bad. I even tipped her $5 and she said to me that’s enough you have to tip more towards the percentage.. LIKE WHAT? I said $5 is all I have to give. She walked off looking disappointed. Mind u I’m the only one who ordered food

Fun place to get together friends and family. $3 margaritas on Wednesday - delicious! Free chips and smoky salsa. Chevy's tacos are delicious. Try the salmon tacos at happy hour in the bar area from 3 to 6 P.M. most days.

There were several unsatisfactory things that happened during our meal. The restuarant was too hot inside, especially for summer with all the food smells. We had a hard time getting our order taken (the difficult part included adding an extra taco to a meal?) The cheese dip was pretty good, but when the food came, they brought the tacos with the wrong shells. The food was also VERY salty. Poor results from the waiter after we told him the taco shells were wrong. We just sent part of it back because we did not want to make it a huge deal. I would not recommend this place.

Food was good. Friend really liked the carnita sliders off happy hour menu. Tacos were not so great. Server took forever. Drinks were waiting at the bar for a long time. Server was seen touching his face several times with his fingers and right after touched the straws. Finger prints were seen on the straw...Disgusting. Hardly any salt on the rim of the margaritas. Only reason we stopped here was national's game was cancelled and group decided to eat here.

Regular fare of tex-mex. Table side Guacamole is huge and a bargain. Wait staff was great and the price seemed fair. Easy location after a day at the mall across the street. Great margaritas too.

The manager (Sylvia) was really helpful helping us choose gluten free options. Our server Lauren was nice and kept our drinks full. She was patient as we worked through the modifications to our meals to make them gluten free. We hadn't come here in over a year but will return on our next trip to the Pentagon City mall.

I heard great things about the Happy Hour and decided to check it out. I am happy I did!! Great happy hour, tasty food, and great service. The manager, Silvia really impressed me. She stopped by and asked how I was doing and even made some great recommendations. The bartenders were very friendly. Silvia and team, you all just earned a new regular!

Chain Mexican restaurant with some of the normal trappings. Meals come with fresh made tortilla chips and a good salsa. The fajitas are definitely worthwhile. The enchiladas are awesome. Definitely try the refried beans on the side. Seating is usually available except when literally busloads of people flood that side of Pentagon City.

Great food - I had the vegetable fajitas and added guacamole. The salsa is delicious!! Coconut pineapple margarita was also yummy but not a lot of alcohol. Our server was great and attentive, however my boyfriends sunglasses were stolen off our table and we aren’t sure if it was the guy who brought out our food ...no one else was at our table. But enjoy those sunglasses whoever swiped them from us.

While having lunch with a friend/colleague at Chevys Pentagon City, the fire alarm went off. Surprisingly, the staff kept taking orders from customers, and they clearly had NO TRAINING regarding what to do in this situation. As fire trucks started to arrive, most of the customers and staff had gradually left the restaurant. I asked to speak with the manager, noting that, when a fire alarm is activated, the staff should think of the restaurant as an airplane, pointing out exits to customers, explaining to not worry about their food, and to please exit immediately. There was no fire...but the staff didn't know that. If you manage a restaurant, PLEASE conduct some routine training on your staff regarding what to do in this situation. Be PROACTIVE in having your guests exit. Ensure that all of your employees exit. Your professionalism in this regard is the right thing to do, and will result in customers understanding that you truly care. As it is, I had no confidence in the management who, even after I raised the issue, demonstrated no concern whatsoever. Good food and ambiance are important. Safety and concern for your customers and staff is much more important.

"Produce so fresh you'd swear we grew it ourselves!" Well you just roasted yourself... The chips were stale, also store bought! They had horrible service, we ran out of cheese, they yelled at us for trying to get more, and what Mexican place has no Mexican sauce! Don't get me started on the plastic utensils. Freezer burnt ice cream, and tasted like butter!

We had our annual holiday lunch this week at Chevy’s. Our waiter - Robert - was beyond awesome. We had a large group (~22) - and everything was great. Definitely ask for Robert if you stop by.

Always the best spot to grab a last minute or planned or casual walk by meal. In the summer you can even sit outside with your dogs. The service today because it was national margarita day was average. But the food is always good. It's always solid and doesn't change to often.

Chevys has been the same for years. The chips and salsa is always good. I believe that they should go out on a limb with there menu so that it won't be like every other tex mex restaurant. Maybe add a whole grilled fish option. Something to think about.

When I arrived, Max greeted me warmly and showed me to my seat, even though I was just sitting at the bar. Selene, the bartender, was prompt in bringing chips/salsa and water. She made several recommendations because I have never eaten here. I went with the fajitas. The food tasted extremely fresh, and came out sizzling, as I would expect of good fajitas. Just finished my second party at Chevy's at Pentagon City. I returned when looking for a party venue because we had such a positive experience last year. Once again, the staff was very helpful and accommodating, food was fresh and very good, and we had a wonderful event. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed our party there and appreciate Chevy's help in making it a success.

We also ordered queso, it was smaller than expected (this might be cause we ordered it during happy hour though). We went on a Saturday at 6 and it wasnt crowded, definitely plan on visiting again.

Stopped here for dinner. When we arrived, there were about 50 kids off of a tour bus. While it was busy and louder, the service was so fast and it felt like we have been regulars for years. Our server was even seen running across the street to ensure that a diner who just left, was given her sunglasses that she left behind. The food was amazing and the serving was generous. If we are ever in the area, we will be sure to stop here again!!

My husband and I came to DC for our annniversary. Our metro station was super close to this restaurant. I am glad we stopped by tonight. The food was amazing. The waiter Hector R. was so nice and we never had to ask for a drink refills or chips... he was on top of it. The prices are great too! If you are around this area and Pentagon City is your metro station, take sometime and try this restaurant out. Delicious!

Good was meh. I ordered the queso and the resturant and the menu did not say there was a size difference in price. I ordered the flautas and you could tell they say out as they were cold and not crunchy anymore. Also, they charge you 1.99 for sour cream. I was disappointed.

In my entire time of being a patron of the Chevy’s franchise, I have never had an experience as bad as this one. I was charged $2.00 for two table spoons of sour cream. My coworkers paid $11 for only six wings. When it came time to pay, my card was exchanged in the hands of more than FOUR people. That is a direct violation of PII. To make matters worse, I was charged a duplicate amount for my order. I will NEVER come to this location again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. To make matters worse, they don’t even honor military discount and we were all in Uniform. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Chevy Restaurant.

I've worked in the service industry long enough to know when a server has a bad attitude; that should always be nipped in the bud before it gets to your customers. Very authentic Mexican food. They make fresh flour tortillas. The flour tortillas are made in the center of the restaurant. The restaurant is large enough for tour busses. I saw a few tour groups having dinner. Happy hour is from 4-9 during the week and has excellent prices and several choices for drinks and food. Definitely would visit again. Staff is attentive and prompt.

I always try new restaurants, but I keep going back to Chevys. The meal starts with freshly made chips served with a salsa so thick I don't have to worry about it dripping down my arm en route to my mouth. The portions are generous and everything is made from scratch so you know it's fresh. As I was finishing my meal a couple of years ago, I mentioned to my server, Jose Velasquez, that I didn't get a sweet corn tamalito. I forgot all about it, but when I went back a couple of months later, he brought me a generous extra scoop. That's pretty amazing service. Good food, good service and reasonable prices. It works for me.

I have airways loved this restaurant but I haven't been there in quite a while. It was a very disappointing experience. The food tasted like they must have changed their recipes or perhaps the chef had a bad day. But the tamales which I usually love were not good. And nothing on my plate was hot. My server was good but when he was picking up orders and I needed water or hotter salsa there were NO servers on the floor. Disappointing.

We have come here on several occasions during happy hours just after work. We have had a number of our gatherings for work at this location too during lunch, but I never bothered to give a review. I decided to leave one as a result of our earlier visit. Most of the time I've been here, my visit has been okay without any issues. The food and drinks were okay too.
