3 people. 350$$. Excellent service. Make reservations. No need for wagu. Steaks are delicious and the puff pastries start everyone off perfectly.
Birthday dinner and returned for an Anniversary dinner. The cloud bread (popover) is to die for! Pate was a new experience for us, done so well and it was delicious. Overall experience was very pleasant. They even remembered us our second time coming in. I wish I lived in the area so I could visit more.
The food was delicious and variety of wine selection available including champagne! Our server was great- he failed to give his name or else I would of gave him a shout out. Manager on duty was making rounds and asked how was everything. Came here for my birthday and was given a dessert <3
Blt steak gave me food poisoning. Nasty dirty diner YUCK!!!!
Very very good but very very expensive. I’d go for lunch for the best bang for your buck
Great dinner. We went for our first anniversary. They treated us amazingly. Food was fantastic. Service was beyond what we expected. Have been there multiple times. First time with my partner. Will be back multiple times in the future. Thank BLT!!
Wonderful food, pricey, but keeping with the area.
Meal was absolutely delicious, starting with the fresh baked bread, the salad wedge, soup and steaks!! Top notch food. Our waiter was Hands down the absolutely best server ever (I'm trying to remember his name)!!!!
Best steak in my life
Great place for dinner. Excellent wine list
The best place for steaks in DC. Not cheap but fair price for the quality.
I had dinner here the other night and it was really great. The staff was very attentive, the food came quickly and the filet I had was the best one I've eaten in years - an absolutely perfect medium rare. The tap list isn't remarkable but is varied enough that you can get something you like and the complimentary popovers to start things off were delicious. The only slight (not really) negative is that the menu no longer includes jalapeno mashed potatoes which were a reason to go all on their own.
First time was amazing, but second time quality of steak and food was average for a fancy steakhouse
Bar staff (especially Kevin) is awesome
Great food, outstanding service, and nice ambiance. Their Kansas City cut is the best strip steak I’ve ever had.
Excellent food. Service was mixed. Some of the staff were attentive, others seemed to have a leisurely approach. My salmon was perfect and the truffle mashed potatoes divine. Expect to pay dearly for the experience.
Food was good, not great. Server ruined the whole experience for me and my friends. Not a positive first impression of DC steakhouses.
Excellent steak cuts. Tried both the steak and the roasted chicken. Both were perfect.
Despite being a steak restaurant, the vegan dish was delicious. I called in before arrival, and they were incredibly accommodating. Great flavor! 10/10
Excellent steaks and filets. Amazing popovers and delicious pate to start the dinner.
Just great steaks! Very good service as well.
Price too high for quality of food. Food not seasoned well and tasted as though it was sitting a long time. Atmosphere was nice and wait staff were attentive.
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Parking attendant most helpful and nice.
Wonderful restaurant, very good food, great management. You can’t beat the location.
Had a very nice birthday lunch here. They start you off with their special gruyere popovers which were delicious and they give you the recipe with them. Nice touch. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection (medium). The salad wedge was just okay (not enough dressing, blue cheese and bacon) and the mashed potatoes pretty blah. Service was fine. Atmosphere okay, nothing extra. I would definitely return but I'd say as steak houses go, they are not quite on the same level as Ruth Chris, Mastro's or The Capital Grille, hence 4 stars instead of 5.
Pretentious with all the hovering assistants. Food good.
Came by during lunch to try the Dry Aged Hamburger. The burger was delicious, service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Very nice clean and good service
Amazing. We came in at the end of the night and everything was perfect from the second we walked in the door. Steaks were cooked to perfection. (Peppercorn sauce and truffle mashed potatoes were my favorites.) Service was perfect and even though it was late we didn't feel rushed at all. We'll definitely be back!
Food is good but not at the level of price. I know it's higher because it's in DC but others in that price range are better.
Love the food. I come here often for lunch. The popovers are amazing. I have to stop myself after one. The food is really good, and simple. I love their steaks. And the salads are also really good. Since it is downtown it can have a very business lunch/dinner feeling. Would recommend if you are in the area.
Wonderful steak and oysters. Great service.
Always awesome
Great meal for our group.
One word: wagyu. Tho not the only delectable delight on the menu - hen of the woods mushrooms, dessert, cocktails, the pop-ups, all are wonderful. You'll do yourself a favor by enjoying an evening here.
Great steak for the price. Best popovers I've ever had
Probably the best steak I have ever had. Service was extremely well done and fluid without that feeling of being stuffy you sometimes get at a steakhouse. Love the inclusion of popovers which I never thought of as a complement of steak but their texture and flavor fit right in.
Fabulous food with a chic vibe. Surprisingly date night, as well as family friendly. So nice that the chef came out & spoke to his guests. @chefbonk on Instagram. We had amazing filets. Highly recommend when in DC.
Best steakhouse in town - bar none. Everything they do is excellent. The steaks are seasoned well with just the right amt of searing. Sides are phenomenal. Service is elegant and professional.
Delicious, good service, parking was expensive
Incredible restaurant!
My favorite steak house in DC.
Azing steak, gotta get the rib eye with the bone marrow!
Great place to enjoy a nice steak , our server Kevin was awesome
Legitimate fine dining. Delicious food, presented in creative ways, by staff that know what they're doing. Priced out of the common budget, but certainly worth treating yourself to it every so often
I've been to countless high-end steakhouses, and in my opinion BLT is slightly overrated. My girlfriend and I both ordered the NY strip steak. It was cooked just fine, but the meat was tough. It was not worth the $55 price tag. While we were eating, the manager came over with a small gift from the chef. He stated "try this and I'll tell you what it is". So my girlfriend and I went ahead and tried it. Come to find out the dish is cow tongue. It actually tasted pretty good, and I'm very willing to try new foods. My girlfriend on the other hand wasn't very fond of it. It weirded her out. It was very nice of the manger to give us a complementary dish, but with the dish being cow tongue, he should have made that more clear, as not everyone is very keen and willing to try it. My girlfriend was not happy. I said something to the manager about it, and he was polite and understanding of the situation. After a couple minutes the chef came out. He stated "so what was wrong?", and I went ahead and explained the situation. And then he proceeded to argue, stating how it was meat. (Cow tongue is a muscle). I mentioned how I understand his point of view, but it is a muscle. He then proceeded to look at my girlfriend and stated "so was your steak good then?" in an extremely rude demeanor. Moral of the story, if you are serving someone cow tongue, you should probably state what it is, because some individuals are not going to like it, and lastly, the chef is extremely rude. Overall, if you're in DC and looking for a good steakhouse, I do not recommend BLT. I recommend The Palm DC for a good steak.
First time at this location. Food, wine and service were exemplary. I had limited mobility due to recent foot surgery and a staff person kindly escorted me all the way to the ladies room. They even give you a little card with their world famous popovers recipe. Gets very crowded...so reservations are wise. Nice bar scene too. A place for professionals, singles and families!
Always a solid choice for a business lunch
Attended a Hall wine event on the rooftop of BLT steak. Quite a nice event with super views
Our steaks came out nearly well done instead of medium. They apologized and fixed it immediately. They also sent us champagne and dessert free of charge because we were celebrating a new job. Excellent service. Considerate management. Pleasant atmosphere. And, of course, amazing food.
Great for lunch and dinner. Service, food and drinks are all top notch.
Loud inside! It was good but not outrageous for the price. I would have expected more.
Consistently a delicious experience. A bit pricey, unfortunately. Always looking forward to that pop over bread and butter welcome snack.
After several visits I finally decided to try the Wagyu beef. I ordered the Cap Steak and it really lived up to expectations. The flavor and tenderness were well with it. Another great dining experience!
Great place to dine and drink with lobbyists and legislators.
BLT is fabulous! The atmosphere is wonderful, never an empty glass or a crumb on the table! The food was fresh and delicious. The tuna tar tare is a must! Most importantly their sommelier, excellent choice of wine for our table, can't wait to go back!
Truly embarrassing business lunch. Hostess was rude. She tapped a table as an indicator that my party belonged there and kept walking. Wait staff reached over us constantly. Not properly trained. The food is consistently good, but the service has gotten progressively worse over the past several months.
My steak was AMAZING!
The food is good and nice atmosphere. Prices are a bit high for what you order
Great food and ambiance! Perfect for a business dinner or evening rendezvous!
It is a very nice steakhouse. Great popovers, but you know it like I would give them a 5 star but it doesn't feel like it. The french fries are crunchy but really chewy and heavy. Wine list is really strange and really expensive. I guess it's a little things like that keeps the business from getting 5
The sides were great and so was the wine selection, however my steak was overcooked and too salty! It was still good and I didn't complain but for the price you are paying the steak should come out perfect. Sadly this was not the case. The portions are generous and the atmosphere is nice. The female bartender was a bit rude but luckily we didn't have to deal with her much. Our servers we great and the manager even came out a couple of times to chat with us about our dinner.
Great place to have a social gathering with friends and family. The food however, does not hold up to the price.
4 starts for the price because it is PRICEY. However the Happy hour is amazing. The cocktails are made to perfection and two words: pop overs. They are the best ones in the city!
Great food and service!
Great service. Good wine list (all Pinots were great). I like that they have a broader steak menu here than BLT Prime. Make sure you don't confuse this location with the other one in DC because they have different menu variations. Both are great, but BLT Steak has more steak options.
A couple weeks ago my wonderful colleagues threw me a welcome back lunch, as I was returning to work after being off for 6 months on medical leave. I must say the food was yummy and the staff was amazing! Thank you Aziz for the extra special treats! Beau Monroe, your staff and restaurant are top notch! BLT I will be back!! Cheers! :)
Best Philly stake I have ever had.
Great steaks and seafood tower. Amazing bar and wine selections
6 people for a birthday dinner fantastic from beginning to end staff food experience in a very comfortable happy atmosphere Could not have been better
Awesome Food. Good Service.
My sister enjoyed her steak
God is real!!!! The Cowboy steak still is on my mind and I didnt even order it,I was eating my wife's lol
Amazing steak tartare, oysters, steak. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were wonderful.
First, the good: The service is A+. Attentive wait staff constantly refilled water, scraped crumbs off the table, and whisked away dirty plates. Now, the bad: We were looking for a moderately-priced restaurant after visiting the nearby National Geographic Museum. We chose this place because we thought the name BLT Steak sounded like a sandwich place. Um, no. Once we sat down and looked at the menu, I had to laugh: $60 for one steak, $90 for another steak. We decided to stay anyway and order the cheapest entrees on the menu. My daughter and I ordered lemon rosemary chicken for $33. The chicken was tender and tasty but nothing special. My son ordered the salmon for $35 (he said it was the best he's ever had). At those prices, I would expect one or two side orders to be included, but no. A side order of french fries was $12. The popovers were overdone. Dinner for 3 with no alcohol, no appetizers, and no dessert was $165, including tip. I have eaten better meals elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I would not eat here again because of the price and the noise. That is why I deducted two stars.
The service here is impecable. Best to make reservations, but they are not required. Water was served promptly and drink orders were quickly taken. Chicken liver paté and cheese popovers were tasty. Ordering as well was simple and everything is cooked to exact temperature you ask for. I had the lamb and my companion had the bone in New York. Sides are served family style which allows for variety. Our only qualms was for the price, the sides were on the smaller side. In addition, one would expect 6 bones of a rack of lamb as opposed to 4.
Delicious salad and good wine and great service! Thanks Khouyar!
Overall good, but I had to send back the dry-aged hamburger because the taste was unusually strong, almost gamey. They were terrific about replacing this with the more regular cheeseburger, which was tasty. Popover are always great! Service was superb.
Outstanding service and food!
Very nice place. Fancy. Everything has A separate cost like they do not offer side dishes with your meal you have to pay for them too.
Good spot. We had a wonderful filet mignon that was worth the (high) price. The place is too dark and noisy.
Ok so... popovers.... Damn Amazing. Typically satisfied with all the meats here. Have eaten here several times and at lunch I'll typically do a salad, all are great. Downgrading a star here because last time the lettuce was clearly wilted and brown. As I went to the restroom so were others. Maybe the delivery didn't come for the day or something but then just say no salads today. That's not a great answer but better than tarnishing your brand.
Great food, excellent service.
Obviously a high end steak house with all of the perfect cuts of meat and deliciously butter soaked sides you would expect, but the true hidden gem is their dry aged beef burger. I know it sounds crazy, but by far my favorite thing on the menu. They only advertise it during lunch, but if you ask, they'll make it for you during the dinner service, too. The flavor can't be beat and I don't know what Elfen magic they use on this burger, but it is phenomenal. Sauteed onions and shredded short ribs garnish this magical meal, and the bread just gets in the way. I prefer it open face.
Great restaurant. Amazing ambiance, food and service.
Delicious food, great steaks, great service.
Steak was very good - beer selection not that large. You don’t come to a place like this and not expect to get out for around 60-90 per person - set your expectations.
Everything was SPLENDID!
Staffs are kind, stake is delicious.
awesome food & incredible home-esque environment. super cozy!
This place was very disappointing their food lacked seasoning and the descriptions on the menu were inaccurate the servers are very ingrnuine just wanting to rack up the bill. The food was not worth it I personally had the lemon chicken and it was extremely subpar. I only gave it two stars because my bf enjoyed his steak. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
Awesome. The bartender met us first and really knew her stuff. A great drink to start. To dinner. Popovers - the best - and a seafood tower. Then STEAK! Cooked perfectly. Verrrry tasty. Great place to entertain guests. Thanks.
Porterhouse from BLT is hands down the best steak I've ever had. Quality of the food is consistently top notch and the popovers are addictively delicious.
We went here for our two year anniversary and had a wonderful time. The place was a little slow so it was like the restaurant was all ours for the night. Justin our Waiter was fantastic! He was super professional and had great conversation. He was super informative as well. We even asked him to sit with us for a bit and talk. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice. I will most definitely come back.
Amazing! Fabulous service! Wow if your looking for great service and wonderful food this is your place. We were in DC for July 4th week and enjoyed our dinner. Keep up the great work we enjoyed our dinner!
Overall a good steakhouse. The complimentary popovers are okay, but the toast and jam/pate is off the hook! Nice surprise to start the meal. I ordered the hanger steak medium rare with grilled lobster and a side of Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were the best part of the meal. The steak was flavorful but tough. Probably sliced incorrectly. The lobster was nice, but a tiny accent, not worth the $20 extra charge. Let’s be honest though, you’re not eating here if your counting dollars. I also had their house old fashion with a rum base and their house manhattan. Both good, but not special. Would benefit from premium ice. Service was prompt and friendly.
Absolutely Love this place, food is great and service was even better!!!
The salad was a real let down but I look forward to trying different things next time. Love the staff. The place should be busier but the holidays may have something to do with that. Also Aziz is a delightful person
Absolutely outstanding food, especially the Kobe beef. Superior service
A bit pricey, but the food is worth every penny!
Loved the food, the atmosphere and the service!
Great atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food is definitely something I will never forget. Great!
Great place to go for a special occasion, and if you're willing to splurge.
Asked for medium, got medium rare, which made it really chewy, still kinda good but not worth $34
Went for happy hour, decided to not stay for dinner. Was there for my first night of my honeymoon with my husband, and the bartender seemed miserable to be there and the atmosphere was very buisness-esque. Not what we were looking for unfortunately
The popover is so amazing! 28day dry aged steak is the best I’ve ever had! A little bit pricy but totally worth it.
If you’re looking for an awesome steak house...look no further. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for between the quality of food and amazing service. Our steaks were perfectly cooked. Would recommend getting a reservation, it was a busy Saturday night for them. I saw on a review to get a reservation beforehand and I was happy that we did. We will be back next time we’re in town!
Drove all the way from WV to eat here. The hours are wrong for Saturday. What a waste
The service was good while the food was just okay. I ordered the steak sandwich. It tasted great but the steak itself was quite chewy and not cooked to medium. My friend ordered the burger and it also did not come at the correct temperature. Overall a good experience, just a few minor cooking issues.
Try not to ruin your appetite with their crazy good bread and butter. You are gonna wanna save it for the juicy steak when it comes. Both the ribeye and the filet are top notch. The tuna appetizer was just so so. My friend also got the huge porterhouse which looked great and he liked it.
we had a good time there.
Good quality with the nice servers.
Super great service, very attentive waiter, Ben, and other staff. Wagyu Ribeye is way over priced and just isn’t that good. Much better steaks at other restaurants for 1/2 the price. Superior service + average overpriced food = 3
Great food, even better service but not 5 stars because the drinks menu was pretty sad (and the drinks were inconsistent)
Delicious food but pricey!
If you go here just know their prices are at the higher level. It is the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5. That being said: A+ service, our table had a team of 5 wait staff that served and checked in on us. Grade A for the steak house centered menu: the quality of meat was great, they cooked it to a perfect Med Rare (what we asked for), the sides were delicious (try the brussel sprouts), and the desserts were extremely good). The portion size is only enough for one. Grade A facility and appropriate ambiance for the fare, and you will be able to hear and speak to you dinner date without struggle.
The best food I’ve had in my life. They have fantastic everything and they cater to allergies! I am allergic to milk and had the best steak 100% butter free and
Amazing!
Popovers are amazing. Everything else is good but I always leave here wishing they had done just a little more, a little better. A little over priced away lunch but comparable to other steak houses at dinner. Serving sizes are generous. Servers are great and knowledgeable.
Excellent service, steaks, and drink selection.
Went twice because the first they messed up our order. Then the same thing happened the second time.
Best steak I've ever had.
The atmosphere was incredibly loud for a “romantic” dinner date but the overall experience was enjoyable. STAY AWAY from the Wagyu NY Strip. It honestly was tougher than an Outback Steakhouse steak and for the price was pretty disappointing . The Top Cap was like butter.
steak was amazing. Might have been the biggest baked potato I've ever had too! So good!
Fantastic service, steak. Expensive
You your steak served on a hot iron skillet , it's always an awesome experience. I ordered New York strip medium rare, it was served perfectly cooked. Mashed potatoes also came and a small iron skillet. I recommend this place servers with friendly.
Amazing steaks
BLT steak's if a very good place to eat
Excellent service, perfect table attention, food well prepared, presented, with good flavor (Brussel sprouts were DELICIOUS!!! But Disappointed with bacon appetizer- perfect bacon cut but was not good with parsley. Should probably use something sweet), knowledgeable staff, and amazing sommelier. Great upscale business or group location.Very Pricey a la carte menu.
Great meal! A special Thank You to Kevin, who took exceptional care of our evening. Each menu item was heavenly. I had the Keep the Beet in Thyme cocktail. It was delicious. Popovers, so light and fluffy. I will be trying these at home, though I know I will never come close what BLT's creates. Salad, fresh. More importantly, CRISP! Crabcakes, fantastic. All crab, just a thin outer Cake coating to keep it together. Oh the BACON! Ohhhhh.... the BACON! Ok, so the meats..... I had the Waygu skirt. It was something I will be talking about for the rest of the year. I ordered Med-Rare. Truly, so soft. Supple. Cook to true perfection. We also ordered a filet mignon, also Med-Rare. It was a beautiful, tall, steak goddess. The char was gorgeous and very tasty. I will be dreaming of this meal for some time. Definitely Earned Each of the Five Stars!
Great food & service!
Juicy steaks. Their cheese bread is amazing.
This was an okay visit. I ordered a baby spinach salad and spicy tuna. I got a Cesar salad, not to bad since it was one I was considering so I kept this and ate it. Then a steak comes out instead of the tuna. It was very noisy in there that night but I thought we had communicated clearly. The waitress apologized and had the meal replaced with the correct spicy tuna and they even comped a dessert. Just seems odd for everything to be off.
Out of town guests customer service was horrible tonight. Lucas our waiter was not attentive.. George who was waiting on guests at next table provided better service to our needs.
Great food and great, personalized service.
It's not worth the price the steak was OK little salty there many selection is basic
Excellent happy hour menu
Tj was awesome! Great service. Great food. I will definetly be back!
Great, friendly service, comfy chairs and a good beer selection. Nice happy hour.
I was here for my birthday, they will give you a free dessert. I had the cowboy and some ribs in wine, everything was great.
Service was amazing and the food was delicious. This may be our new favorite D.C. dinner spot.
Fairly early dinner after seeing the tree. Probably one the best meals we've had in a while. Short ribs were amazing.
excellent experience if you can afford it
Ok good. Very over priced -- it's a place for the expense account crowd to take clients for lunch.
Very unique, great steak, great staff, you would never leave hungry.
Pricey sure, but worth it! Impeccable service. Amazing food. My overly casual dress didn't phase them or diminish the experience they provided.
Food was great our server Kevin was exceptional.
The popovers are amazing
Over-priced for what it offers. The waygu skirt steak was highly recommended but was far from tender - one of the most chewy steaks ever. Filet Mignon was not bad, but Ruth's Chris is better!
Kinda of pricey. Very loud. Great service.
Great service, excellent steak cooked perfectly, choice of sauces all are incredible, do not skip the Brussels sprouts!!!!!
I had a bone in ribeye called a cowboy with brussel sprouts. It was amazing. The price was as expected for such a fancy place.
Good food! Fresh, enticing, sexy food. Popular with professionals for lunch, higher prices but it's worth it. Excellent service, good sturdy silverware and proper linen napkins is a big plus. Acoustics are a bit challenging though, so not good for groups larger than four during peak times (you really have to lean in to hear even with just two-four).
Terrific steak place, of course. I particularly appreciated that the steak was cooked to requested temperature (rare). Too often in the USA, I find I have to go one level rawer to get true Temps. Not here. The wine list was very good as well!
Amazing food and service.
Great flavour and service but portion sizes are enormous unfortunately.
I just had the worst birthday dinner at BLT Steak. The Dover Sole was cold and like rubber. The potatoes were undercooked. The Filet mignon was over cooked, cold and tough. The carrots and popovers were also cold and awful. I paid almost $200 dollars for a terrible meal. Don’t go! It’s a waste of good money. Oh they also couldn’t make a decent Bloody Mary and they ran out of syrup for the coke.
Incredibly disappointing... They had a filet trio on special that we ordered and were out of at 7pm on a Saturday. Hen of the wood mushrooms were burnt. The other filet we ended up getting was tough like a strip steak. Service was rushed. At this price point you want to sit down, enjoy dinner and not be rushed to finish.
