I have been absolutely ecstatic about the prospect of eating at Anju since it opened just over a month ago. When my friend nabbed a reservation, I absolutely could not say no. Order everything. If you can't order everything, go back. If you must choose for a first meal, make sure you get the mushrooms, the ssam platter, and the bananas foster. If you're vegetarian, get the egg custard. If you're vegan, order more veggies. I don't even like fish and the egg custard with roe was just such a good texture and flavor blend. The bananas foster is like the final form of a banana-cinnamon-sugar crepe. If you drink, make sure to order drinks (we went with the house watermelon-infused soju and ate the watermelon when we were done, when I go back I'm going to get the house makkegoli).

Had a wonderful meal there last night. Steak tartare was exceptional as was the pancake. Terrific service. Looking forward to going back soon.
