REVIEWS OF Agua 301 Restaurant IN Washington

Mike Low

Ashley was my server she was in training but she did a great job. She has a great personality and great customer service. Thank you Ashley for a great dinner.

Lauren Donahue

We had a large birthday party here. The staff was attentive and detail oriented and very accommodating to our needs. Good food, wide variety on the menu. Only complaint is that the restaurant was a bit tricky to find. Lovely spot.

Camanita Ieremia

Great atmosphere near the water! Family friendly!

Paul Hastings

Great food and overall an amazing experience. My go to spot for a Saturday afternoon, for sure! The service was very nice and I can complain about anything! Will be back!

Sergio Rosario

Went to Agua 301 for brunch and it was surprisingly good. Bottomless mimosas for 14$, brunch specials ranging from $10 to $15. Good service, the queso is amazing please try it and they always keep your mimosa glass full!

Deroline Gonzales

Great water view, nice staff, fast service but not in love with their food. It was ok

Catherine Burke

Good food, nice back room for events! Have hosted multiple work events at this location. They have a great back room available and food and drink options (like pitchers of margaritas) that work well for a crowd. Top food choices were the tacos and empanadas!

G Jax

Happy hour is not just about throwing drinks at people. People still expect great service, tasty food, delicious drinks and a clean environment. Aqua failed us. The chicken mole tacos and guacamole were less than par and both of our stomachs felt ill later. The service was horrible. Trying to find people to bus tables during happy hour was awful. The staff just disappeared. The walls and tables were not cleaned properly...they were sticky and had a film. And I saw a large bug resembling a roach crawling on the wall where customers had their bags hanging under the bar. We will not be back. Offer your customers more.

Emily Forde

I always enjoy coming here. The food is great, the drinks are even better and the scenery is beautiful. :)

Annette Taylor

Great food. Excellent drinks and the only place on the water to welcome our dog on the patio. Headed for Pups in the Park so needed a place to have lunch with the dog prior.

Adam Castillo

Good food and decent bar.

Elena Cheney

Stephen Briggs, You asked me to contact you via Yelp, so I am. I was not the only one at the table when the cockroach leg was discovered in the iced tea. My fiance found it, the waitress was aware of it, and when the manager on staff was made aware of it, his response was hostile, to say the least. This is was a very upsetting experience, so unfortunately your business will be known as one infested with cockroaches. Has this issue been taken responsible at the time I would be totally understandable. This ruined my entire weekend. Thank you, Elena

Host was friendly and quick to seat us. The waiter was not so great. Assumed we only had one person versus two when he brought out water and silverware and took forever to bring a second water. Let our chips run out right after he brought us guacamole. Service was continually slow throughout the night. We had to get up and serve ourselves a few times. (Utensils, refill on chips, etc). The food is okay, but Joseph was not on his game.

Erik Lund

Love this place.. one of the best happy hours in the city, cheap and delicious food and drinks. Oh and you're sitting on the waterfront, what more can you ask for?

Hemang Shah

Great food and service

Markesha Moses

Best restaurant on the waterfront

Bolt OutoftheBlue

Great Mexican food, excellent service too.

m rivera

The restaurant has a nice view of the waterfront and it has a nice ambiance. However, I wouldn't say that I liked the experience completely. First, there are only two bathrooms, and when I first arrived there were 4 people waiting. Then, I left (I assume there was a game or some other event) that the line was about 20 people long. Second, it was really busy that it affected our service. The server was really nice, I can see that she was doing her best. And finally, the food was okay. I was kind of disappointed with the shrimp torta I had. I had 6 shrimps and I wish they added some more or have a different setup or not serve shrimp as a sandwich.

Lia Biondo

I don't want to tell you that they have the best nachos and happy hour specials in SE DC, but they have the best nachos and happy hour specials in SE DC.

Katherine Leonard

I love this place for its strong drinks and delicious food. The atmosphere is also very nice. They get the order wrong every now and then, which is a little worrying for people like me who have allergies.

Akilah Robin

Good tacos! Great bar scene

Joseph Murphy

I love the atmosphere and the drinks. Not to mention the fish tacos are delicious.

Scott Vandenberg

Rafael is amazing!

Nabil Sharaf

Atmosphere: Great Service: Great Food: OK This is a great place for a summer brunch. The view is wonderful if you sit outside and watch as people stroll by and play in the park next door. The service is good as well. The food is Americanized a little too much, which is to be expected, yet underwhelms those who have lived in southwestern states. Good experience nonetheless

Gina Sigler

Food was good but service was not. We waited 45 minutes just for our appetizer.

Zachary Graybill

A good "new" Mexican restaurant. Aka a Mexican place with updated food and ~bougieness~. A little pricey but the bottomless drinks make up for the smaller food plates. The best brunch place in the Navy Yard area.

Stacy Baker

We live in the area and have been here many times for the friendly service, good food and drink specials, and lively atmosphere. I'm vegetarian, and they always have plenty of selections from a veggie stack entree to smaller plates like empanadas, tacos, salads, and fried yucca (mmmm...). The free chips and salsa keep coming, although I must say the jar-tasting salsa we had last time was the weakest link in the whole meal. Brunch with outdoor seating by Yards Park is a real treat. Be sure to make a reservation!

Bad place, worst food, don’t get near this place

Kate Erbacher

I went for brunch and it was fine. The service was slow even though we were one of only three seated tables. My juevos rancheros were soggy and the water seemed upset when I said I didn't want a drink other than water. My friends said their food was great.

Deaglan Privilege

One of the best brunch spots in the whole city with a terrific wait staff!

caroline trussell

Good happy hour deals. Their guacamole is really good and they have cool drink options, plus right near the water in Navy Yard. Would probably be great to go to in the summer

Toby Kaiser-Arnett

Great food!! Great location.

I attended brunch on 4/13 @ 1p. I understand this is prime time brunch & there was both a baseball game & playoff hockey game occurring that afternoon. However I still need to share since my group's experience was that bad. We were seated at 1:30p, were greeted at 1:45p, and the waitress did not come back until 2p to take our drink order, which was then when we were told that bottomless brunch (that we were paying for) would end at 2:50 - usually a 2 hour limit, but since we were not asked for our order for 30 minutes, we lost that additional time. We asked if we could extend this time since we weren't able to order anything for 30 minutes since we sat down, and the waitress replied with "No, the bar shuts down at 3p." We said okay and asked her to be back more often so that we could take advantage of what we were paying for. Again, I understand that it's busy, but we were seated in the back corner of the restaurant (where it was also FREEZING) so felt extremely neglected. When we ordered our food, someone in our group asked for 2 sides of rice & no beans... and when her food arrived she got 2 sides of beans & no rice. The rest of the food was good so no complaints there. At 2:45, the waitress did say that she could extend our bottomless drinks until 3:15p & we thanked her. She then did not return to our table until 3:13p, when she asked "all good?" I personally asked for 1 more drink, and she then pulled her phone out of her apron to check the time & then walked away. My friend looked at me & asked if that meant I could or could not get another drink & I had no idea because there was nothing communicated to me from the waitress. She did then end up walking back over to see if anyone else needed anything, and we ordered our last round around 3:15p. We then did not see the waitress until I asked another server where she was & if we could get our checks at 3:40ish. At this point, we were visibly unhappy with the (lack of) service, but there was not once any apologetic tone about the experience, after we did voice our concerns to the waitress. During this time, the table next to us also had complaints about the lack of attentiveness & overall experience at the restaurant. When we were leaving and stopped at the only 2 stalls in the entire restaurant (another issue), we spoke with 2 other tables with different waitresses that also did not enjoy their experience. My whole group has been in the restaurant industry, so we understand things get busy, but there's no excuse I can think of as to why we didn't get an apology or 'thanks for understand & appreciate your patience'. I would have not shared this review unless I truly thing something didn't need to change or things could have been handled differently, and want to share my very underwhelming experience. I will not be back and would not recommend this experience to others.

Don Pedersen

Food was good a little on the slow side

Christina B

We sat down at 7, it’s 8:18 and still no entrees. Servers also haven’t said hi in like twenty minutes. To say service is slow is like saying the tortoise beat the hare on athletic merit. Plz send tacos or even chips?

A. Barrett

I wish I could have given this restaurant NO STARS! Horrible dining experience for a first time patron. I attended a birthday dinner there, and the kitchen closed without any warning. A few of the party guest didn’t receive their meals, and it was just ridiculous. The management of the restaurant needs to be reviewed. One waiter was assigned for a party of 20, which is unrealistic. But, the waiter did their best, which we appreciated. Also, the most DISTURBING part about the dining experience was hearing one of the kitchen workers using profane language and showing hostility due to the dissatisfaction of the customers. It was their fault, and I WILL NEVER recommend this place to anyone! The other party guest feels the angst towards this establishment.

Robert Jones

The food and service were very good when I went. They have a great happy hour so it was very crowded. There was a wait for the bathrooms. I think they need larger facilities for the amount of people they serve. Otherwise, it was all good.

Scott Hutson

This place generally has good food and service. The portions are decent for the price. I've been several times for lunch and dinner. Low key and relaxed atmosphere. If you're going for dinner I recommend reservations. They also have a decent selection of Mexican beer.

Allison Key

Thefood was great! I was there with family. It was just Sooooooo loud in there the talking over the music.

Lawanda Lumpkin

Nice atmosphere and tacos/ drinks were good.

Chris Upham

Steve, Eric and the whole crew are awesome and the food is amazing! I especially love the fish tacos!

Daniel Austria

Food was okay, service was subpar. We waited a LONG time for everything especially the check. Chilaquiles weren't the best. Try something different when you go.

David Brenton

Went there for brunch - the service was exceptional and the bottomless drinks deal is great. Breakfast tacos are solid but the omelette was sub-par, at best. Would go again just for the location before a Nats game.

henry egbarin

Excellent..beautiful views

Natasha Dortch

This was my first time here. I have to say everything was awesome. The Baja Fish taco was amazing. Never thought fish would be good in a taco. The only down side was the margarita machine went down. But all and all I was happy with everything else. I will be back.

Tracy Ballard

Good atmosphere, great nachos. Flautas were good, the chicken very tender! The margarita, however was unpleasant to drink. Definitely not a tasty mix of sour mix, tequila, and simple syrup. Plantains are likely not made on premises, and were dry and came with what seemed to be cinnamon roll icing. Not true to what they should have been at all. I will return and try some other dishes before I write off the restaurant.

Francisco Medina-Rodriguez

Our server, Amy'a, was excellent. She was friendly, helpful, and professional. But the food and timeliness left a lot to be desired. Although the taco I ordered was great (pork belly), it came very late to the table. The ceviche, normally cooked in lime, did not taste like it had any citrus in the marinade. And the well bottomless mimosas and sangria, were generously poured, but overly sugary. Overall, it was a subpar experience made ok by the good service and bottomless drinks.

Robert Flynn

We were there for a retirement party! 50 people. Great service, and great food. Very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

Aletia Morgan

Agua 301 is one of our "go to" places when we are in DC. Beautiful setting, parking close by, and the food - have never had a less than fantastic meal! Had one of the "Restaurant Week" specials, with chicken breast that was amazingly tender/flavorful, roasted avocado half, and more. Yum! Please keep up the good work!

SCOTT WINEGAR

Service and food was great, bathrooms need a bunch of help.

Zered Felt

I really have nothing against the place. Good food, good location. But for goodness sake, you need to fix this open table situation, Agua 301. I made a reservation through open table for a high top table. When I told the hostess we had a reservation, I was told they don't do reservations at the bar. If that is the case, why is it even an option? There were at least two other people that were in the same situation as I and this must happen literally every day. Fix it!

Larry VP

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and great taste of the food, as well as the cool staff like Taron and Lincoln who were very attentive and friendly. This place is great for lunch or dinner in a very vibrant neighborhood and just a few blocks from the Stadium or the Navy Yard Metro.

Bryan Goodman

Terrible food and service. They brought out a bottle of hot sparkling water without ice, and the waiter appeared to.be stoned. Taco Bell would be a far better choice.

Sarah Smith

I attend work lunches here relatively often and I still cannot find a dish I enjoy. Also service is typically slow.

Mary Petras

There were happy hour drink specials on Saturdays from 3:30-7:00. My friends loved their frozen swirl drinks (peach sangria and lime margarita mixed together). There was plenty of outdoor tables, indoor tables, and bar seating. Service was good, especially for our table of 7 that requested separate checks. Barbacoa and Baja fish tacos were delicious. Great prices- I had two margaritas and two tacos for under $20!

LeDevin Green

Our waiter came late. Then she brought us the wrong drinks. Then she got flustered brought us the wrong food. Now we'll say the food didn't taste good. So it's not quite a total bomb

Esse Darden

I wonder if their menus are updated to match the current offerings.

Wilfred Schouten, Jr.

Great tacos (I had the fish ones), nice location on the water, everything was great for break from work at lunch time. My co-worker had the enchiladas and she enjoyed them. Definitely will be back for drinks when I'm "off the clock" lol

Shanon Braden

Great happy hour

Jacob Bengtson

Been twice. The place is nice but both times the food was uninspired and way oversalted. Save your money.

John Turner

Surprised how much we enjoyed Agua 301. Great pre ballgame spot. Nice happy hour selection. Everything we had was tasty and enjoyable. Nice service, too. Thanks!

Matthew DeHart

A great restaurant on the riverfront! The happy hour here cannot be beaten! Good margaritas and service.

debie lachman

Drink and food service was very slow. Drinks were ok, not great. Guacamole was pretty good. Outdoor seating was nice.

Rod

Good place for happy hour! Fair prices for drink and food. Food is not spectacular but provides value for the dollar. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Lelita Cannon

Always a pleasure coming here!

Quentin Cummings

Beautiful scene by the water. Chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. Happy Hour until 7pm M-F.

Jared A

Wow. Really good food. My enchiladas were not a huge portion but definitly big enough for lunch! My buddy got the chicken sandwich lunch special. It was huge!! Salas was great too.

Jasmine Cha

Great service, amazing happy hours, and wonderful food. We sat outside and enjoyed a Friday night happy hour. The nachos are a must and their sangria slushies are amazing. It's also closer to the water so a little less congested than other places in Navy Yard. I highly recommend Agua 301 for their wonderful service and delicious food.

Jessica Kreidler

I do not recommend this restaurant! The service was horrendous. The food came out 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering, and then the it came out cold The waitress ignored our table and forgot our requests for more water repeatedly. The only saving grace for this restaurant was the manager, who took the items off of our bill that was served ice cold.

Giancarlo Laino

Food was really good. Baja Fish Taco yummy. But service wasn't on the same level. Even though restaurant wasn't pack. Wine bottles and extra glasses took for ever.

Kris

On Sunday night that came here with two other friends and really wasn't busy around 8 p.m. I got here and was seated immediately however there was some confusion about who the waiter was going to be. So it took some time for us to even get attention or glass of water. I ended up getting a margarita and the wild mushroom Huarache. The margarita was not exactly what I ordered. I said that I did not want salt around the glass but sugar instead. They ended up putting salt around it. The drink was a bit sour but I didn't send it back. B wild mushroom Huarache was pretty good and it had lots of mushrooms they could have used a bit more seasoning with the mushrooms. I would absolutely go back for the guacamole and salsa alone.

Alex Marvin

Try the shrimp grits for brunch!

Morgan B

Good food, service has always been incredibly slow.

DC C

Beautiful setting by the water. Loud inside. Nice outside. Modern Mexican isn't as good as traditional here. For the money, service was under par.

Farah Joseph

Service was not good. Bathroom was dirty.

wanda jones

Nice place to wine and dine and eat good food

Sajjad Rana

Whatever you guys have doing here keep it up. Excellent service. The food is wonderful and the scenic views beautiful. As the Terminator would say I'll be back!

M. Williams

Great staff and prices

Cole Yager

Happy hour deal is great! (Service left something to be desired)

Rusty Lingenfelter

Our first visit. My food was exceptional. The prices were fair and the location is very cool. A short walk to the ballpark. The service was good. For some reason, the limited bathrooms were occupied/unavailable the entire time we were there. Not cool.

Melanie Ray

Excellent happy hour selection and well priced considering the location. Portions sizes are good. Very flavorful! Did not try the drinks, but their frozen peach sangria sounded good.

Kyle Broadnax

Great tacos and dips! Cool, small intimate bar. Good place for a date or group gathering!

Eric R

Great place for lunch and brunch. I haven't been here for dinner. Good drinks as well.

Carla Ferguson

This is a great spot for happy hour. They have great happy hour specials, great food, and good drinks.

marcia jones pisi

Excellent happy hour, both food & drink. Not busy because of government shut down. Discussed this with waiter & he verified that it wasn't busy because of shutdown. Had a great happy hour anyway. Can't wait to return when the weather is warmer so we can sit outside. It's on the water. And that's always FUN.

Adrian Kessler

Let's see. Where to start.. host hung up on us. Parking link on web site doesn't work. Says to park at lot L.. lot L is no where near close. Park in lot Q. Server was a little deaf. For to get my order. Margaritas are nothing but pure tequila. and I figured I would have a beer but every time I've asked for a beer, which was two times they didn't have any. Which is crazy since it's a Saturday. Tacos all have one flavor.....salt. guacamole portions are extremely small and not worth the $12. On the scale of wow to meh. Save your taste buds and go anywhere else.

Austin McCall

The service is top notch. Only went for apps and we were taken care of quickly and often. The food was great, a little on the pricier side for the amount of food you get, but I guess I should have known that going in. The drinks were meh, they were out of the margarita flavors that I wanted and had to settle for a different kind.

Kumiko Ming

I honestly have never eaten somewhere where everything is terrible. I didn't enjoy the wings as it was dry rub with tons of seasoning. Too much in my opinion. The chicken tacos weren't to my liking, it was something about how the chicken was prepared. Surprisingly the chicken from the tacos paired with the tortilla chips were actually good, but that was me putting the two together myself. Being from Jamaica their plantation is covered in condensed milk which was a no bueno. Sweet plantain is already sweet and doesn't need more sweetness. Even the drinks were terrible. I don't know if Fridays aren't a good day or if the chef and bartender were just "off" that day but it wasn't an overall excited time which is sad because it came highly recommended.

Tiffany Manchester

The food and the view are excellent. The drinks are terrible.

Michael Ferraris

Friendly and personable manager and staff. The food tasted delicious and fresh and the prices were great.

Jack Luxemburg

Great food. Reasonable prices. Very good happy hour for those who like a good drink and food portions generous enough to share. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Outdoor setting on the river is a plus if the weather is not too hot or humid for comfort.

Joellen Jarrett

Great service! The food was good but a bit pricey. A small plate, 2 drinks set and a cup of coffee me back $51. I dont recommend the Cicken Tortilla soup unless you really like tomato sauce be a use that is the predominate ingredient here. I actually sent mi e back.

A McBee

Clean with nice staff. Food tasted great, but gave me horrible heartburn about 3 hours after lunch. I'll be back to give it a second try hoping it was a fluke because I really liked the taste and service.

Macgregor Bailey

Service was absolutely horrendous. Never given silverware, never asked for our drink order, the only reason we got food was because we literally forced the serve to take our order. Management needs serious work. The entire staff was borderline incompetent, every table around us had similar complaints, to the extent that the table next to us had this quote, “Every time I’ve come here, the food is ‘eh’ and the service absolutely SUCKS. I guess my expectations have been set so low that I’m desensitized to it at this point.” Experience it for yourself, you’ll be severely disappointed with your experience. Absolutely unacceptable for the quality that this new neighborhood dictates.

Dondré S

My experience here was just meh. The venue is great the outdoor seating and just the location is very nice. Sitting outside near the water is always a great option. The service here was really slow. It wasn't packed but it took 30 minutes just to get out guac and chips. The food wasn't bad, it was just ok in my opinion.

Tondelayo Gamble

Restuarant is beautiful, food delish, staff friendly and professional and the Frozen Sangria Margarita was absolutely perfect!

Jessica Huls

I have come to Agua 301 on two occasions. Both were for a weekday lunch. The wait was way too long for the number of people in the restaurant and what was supposed to be an hour long lunch turned into two hours. The staff was unapologetic, and saw no need to hurry for three professionals on their lunch break. The food was just ok. I will not be returning.

Steven Schwark

Nice view of the river/park and friendly staff. But portions are small for the price. I'll likely never go back with so many other options nearby. Also beware that they'll put top shelf liquor in your drink without telling you and then tack $1-2 on your bill.

Az A

Worst spot in a really nice area. The owner clearly wasn’t present, because no one working gave a care if we were furious. Really sad for my friend bc this was a birthday dinner. We came here for a friend’s birthday, and she made a reservation. The waitress was around intermittently at best. It took an hour for them to take our food orders, and then we were informed that the kitchen was closed- WHEN ONLY HALF THE TABLE HAD BEEN SERVED THEIR FOOD. The manager didn’t even tell us until after they’d served half the table, thereby preventing us from leaving. Really bad

Verdetta Franklin

This is such a lovely place. The food and service are very good. I will be going back.

Brian Burrell

Pretty good atmosphere. Nice outdoor seating

Shane Jolly

I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at Agua301. Service was great and the food was exceptional. I enjoyed the carnitas tacos with black beans and rice. The salsa was great, as well. It was a good lunch value, too - great fresh food in a neat place for not a lot of $. I will definitely be back on my next trip to the area!

Alireza Saboori

Food was not bad. Not amazing either. Good variety.

Tom Wilson

The food is really good and there are a lot of unique dishes on offer, including some nice vegetarian options. The service has always been good for me and it's a nice location for patio dining in warmer months.

Catherine Knight Steele

Great drinks and guacamole! I had a spicy margarita. The Paloma is great also.

Eric kim

The service is wonderful. The food is good, but not great. But you will still get a lot of customers, because of a great location. It does taste more healthy than the other Mexican restaurants, which I am not sure is good or bad. This means the food tastes more plain, than having some kicks or strong flavors. I prefer having more tasty/flavors when eating outside more than getting my health maintained though... put just little..just a little more salt on all of the foods please? Anyways keep it up! Still great restaurant

Vicky Gaston

Good food and beverage!! Staff was awesome accommodating our semi-large party during a busy time. Their teamwork made customer service seamless and efficient. Felt good leaving a generous tip

Cesar Salvador

The food is OK, not really Mexican food, it is somewhat like it but not quite. Margaritas are good, the bar has a great selection of tequilas and spirits in general. Of course the whole thing seems to be designed for people who think Taco Bell is Mexican food, and don’t really care for the food but just for having a good time at the neighborhood. Mind you I love Taco Bell’s crunchy tacos and burritos but that is nothing like a taco in Mexico, it resembles it but it is not the same. And burritos never even existed in Mexico until recently that they came from from the US.

Food Lover

The service was bad. We waited 15 minutes after we were seated before someone came to the table. The table next to us was seated after us and the server went to their table first. After she left the table beside us, she came to our table and then took our order. And yes, The other table’s patrons were white.

Lydia Gleaves

Always love this place. Great food, great brunch (great deal on bottomless!), and management is exceptional! A beer got spilled at some point, and they insisted on giving us a round on the house.

Natalie Chwalisz

I found the food wholly underwhelming: the plantains were not ripe enough, nor slow cooked enough to elicit their sweet flavor, so they used a sweet sauce. The beans lacked flavor. The corn flat bread didn't really fit the taste of the mushroom and goat cheese. I wouldn't come back for the food. The service was nice though and attentive for the most part.

Marivel Fernández

Awesome food, excellent service.

James Black

Food was tasty. Lunchtime visit. Fairly quick food service, somewhat attentive staff. I'd reserve any further opinion for a later visit. I'd go back.

Ana Fraisse-Tilden

I’ve been to Agua 301 for happy hour with some friends twice this week, it’s our new favorite spot. The chicken tinga tacos are delicious! The chips are deliciously salty and salsa is great as well. The margaritas are strong which we love! And their happy hour goes until 7 and is very affordable. Our waitress, Carolyn (spelling?), was awesome both times! She remembered us and knew to bring out extra salsa for us and our dietary restrictions (my friend has an allergy to gluten and dairy). I will be returning often! Oh and the view is beautiful! They have patio seating too. The photo attached was taken right out front.

Paul Witter

Agua 301 has become our go-to spot in this location for a "paddle-to" brunch. Located a short walk from the public dock, Agua 301 is always accommodating with plentiful food and good service at a reasonable price. The brunch menu isn't exactly expansive but it's a nice take on the theme and the rest of the menu is also available. The food itself is good but not outstanding. This is more than compensated for by the rest of the experience. The coffee is cop-shop bad but margaritas and Bloody Mary are all good.

Jared Smith

Great atmosphere better food

Janice Beacham

Good food and value. Busy place. Suggestion reservations dinner for 2 with drinks 47.00

Pamela Chance

Good tacos. Located in The Yards. Great spot for people-watching. Mexican fare above par.

Endroo

lomo saltado was good, friendly staff and the margaritas were tart and tastes fresh not from a mix.

San Diego Mendoza

Great ambiance. Server was attentive. My experience was a late Sunday evening. Very laid back and chill. Entrées were good. Even got dessert. Most noticeable was the music. Most Mexican fare spots play classic Mexican music however this place spins all the Urbano Latino jams.

scott

much more of a Mexican bar feel than a dining g place. inside was loud even near the back of the restaurant. food and service was good. we will return but likely only in outside seating

sarah aytchan

Happy hour prices are fairly good but the service is terrible. Waiter very polite but under staffed

stephanie ataman

Went for happy hour with a large crowd. They reserved tables for us, which was a must have as there arent a lot of tables. The food was different, outstanding. Drinks good too. We had a blast, didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Tommy Kershaw

Went there for happy hour with some friends. Food on the happy hour menu was decently priced, but for a place this close to the water that's to be expected. Had a large party but the service was still quick which was really nice.

allison nielsen

The food here is actually quite good and the ambiance is stellar. There is a wonderful outdoor seating area and a beautiful view of the water and the fountains nearby. Came here for lunch with some coworkers and we sat outside. The seating wasn't an issue. We ordered some drinks and the queso fundido to start. The queso was pretty solid. I was actually surprised at how good it was. I ordered a salmon salad and asked for the dressing on the side as well as a side of the chipotle aioli which sounded great! My salad came out and was missing the aioli, so I asked the busser to grab it for me. I waited for probably 25 minutes for the aioli to come out. The server brought it to me, acting surprised that I had asked for it because she didn't remember that I had asked for it in my original order. After we placed our entree order and then received them it was basically the last time we saw our actual server for a total of 45 minutes. She was attending to two other tables near ours but never came to our table or checked on how things were going. So, this was unusual and really disappointing. Quite frankly, she wasn't a good server. Barely seemed attentive and was more concerned with the table next to us since they sat outside after we arrived and didn't like dogs (this place is dog-friendly and we brought a dog). We were seated first so I'm not quite sure why she was more attentive to them. The food is good but the service was horrifically bad. Our dirty plates from the appetizer sat there for the WHOLE meal and she never once returned to refill our water glasses.

Jeff Davis

Happen to see that the GM responded to my 1-star rating... The issue with the restaurant was the noise. It was impossible to hear myself talk, let alone enjoy a conversation with other people at the table. I honestly don't remember anything about the food or service because the entire experience was ruined by the ambiance. I get it - it's a thing nowadays to create spaces with all hard surfaces because when there are a few people inside, it sounds like there are many more, which entices patrons to come on in. But when the place is even half-full... bring ear plugs.

Extremely rude staff that has the "DC I'm better than you vibe" that most place here have, though its clear the venue lacks the class to back it up. Aqua 301 needs to learn how to treat the customer. The environment is nice, but could not make up for our foods lack of taste. The drinks were extremely strong which I normally don't mind on a Saturday night after one or two, but neither were the case here. My throat burned from the tequila. The hostess was extremely rude to several customers prior to seating and rejected a family with teenage kids and another couple with a toddler. It's like they want to be a 5 star restaurant requiring reservations. Laughable. Mean while the place was mostly deserted during typical dinner rush. It remained empty through the course of my meal. Finally our waiter forgot about our table after we requesed the check adding 45 minutes to the end of our meal. I wish this restaurant good luck. If it keeps it's current course a new venture will likely take it's place in a 2 years time.

We went here for a quick meal before heading to a Nationals game. Food was simple but nice and had good flavors and the staff was great. Sangria was also really nice. It does get busier closer to game time so either go early or book if there is a game on!

The wait for service was waaaaaaaaaaay too long. Sorry, too much competition in the area to put up with being ignored!

Paul O'Neil

Mediocre food. Horribly slow service

Beckee Saldana

Taron was our server and she was fantastic! I am so incredibly picky when it comes to service and she was incredible. Amazing food, incredible drinks, and speedy service! Thank you for a wonderful experience WE WILL BE BACK!

This place doesn't even know what their own reservation system has, so the website lets you get a table while they say a 45 minute wait in front of you, and then don't let you leave the bar for a table when you've ordered food there. Tacos are a bit too pricy.

Ordered two of their ceviches and they were so terrible ! Not to mention portions were so small. Also order seafood soup and it had absolutely no seasoning. Such a waste of money

Great happy hour specials!

I gave two stars. Here is why: the manager (big black guy) was violently yelling at one of the employees, So much so I thought he was an irate drunk customer. When I asked the employee, who was also our server, what that customer was yelling at and was he OK, he replied “I’m OK, that was my manager “. Shocked at this was his manager that was yelling and cussing at him so violently, I asked to speak with the manager. When the manager came out, He then began to yell at me after I told him that it was unprofessional to Yellit his employee that way. I also advised him that I thought he was an irate drunk customer that I was going to have to arrest, he then became belligerent with me and began yelling. I am not sure who hired this guy, but he makes me not want to ever visit this place again. Very intermediating very threatening.

Happy hour prices and options are good. But the service here leaves A LOT to be desired!!! Worst service I’ve experienced in a long time. Disappointing

Good food. Great service!

Brandon Sullivan

I enjoyed the fish tacos very much!

Delivers bare minimum. American Mexican restaurants usually surprise me with their quality and quantity of food. But Agua 301 didn't seem to be in that race. They have a cool view though.

Agua 301 is OK. I've been invited by several co-workers to meet here for happy hours. Beyond Augu's convenient location there is nothing to really rant or rave about. Their food (though not bad) is far from exciting when compared to other places that serve similar food. I'll probably only go back there if I'm invited by a co-worker again.

R&R Entertainment

Ask for Roger the GM he is absolutely MAGNIFICENT . The view of the Potomac off the deck was amazing.

Extremely slow service. We’d been seated for 15 minutes and no one came by the table. We were seated by a hostess and even checked in about service but no one ever came by.

This spot has not let me down yet. Good chips and salsa, extensive enough food menu, and decent drinks. The bartenders are pretty flexible on what they can amd can't do--drinkwise. Just talk to them. Haven't one complaint about the place.

Food is okay. Just go there if you want happy hour

I've been here for brunch and happy hour and I've enjoyed both. If you want a quieter experience, Sunday breakfast is a great time. The food there has awesome flavor and the drinks are just as good. Mimosas are okay, but I'm a huge fan of the margarita and sangria. Who can forget that it's right by the water? Such a beautiful location!

Went here for a happy hour. It was firmly in the land of ok. The food and drinks weren't that great, but they also weren't massively expensive. There are a ton of places in DC for happy hours, and you can probably find some place better without too much effort.

Their Taco's are pretty good however sometimes lack in flavor. The atmosphere is nice for hangout with friends
