I have gone to Zaaki at multiple occasions. The near by parking at the church is super convenient, there are always spots to park! even on busy weekend nights. The service is exceptional, I always get my food and hookah fast even on busy nights.

It's a little crowded but the music is good and the hookah isn't too shabby. They have an outdoor seating area, but it was too cold for my party and I to use it. The food isn't bad, either. They have a great beef pepperoni pizza and I'd recommend that! It's a nice spot to just hang out with friends. But also, please keep in mind that this is a muslim establishment and they don't serve alcohol. However, their smoothies are mighty fine and made with fresh fruit!

I liked the atmosphere, open space, nice waiters and waitresses. What I didn't like is their restroom. They only have one restroom for about 100 customers at a time. Their was a big line of people waiting to use the restroom. I would suggest they construct a restroom to be used by at least 4 people at a time and keep it clean.

Very bad service I saw ever in my life I been to more than 30 countries but I never saw such a bad customer service in my experience especially on weekends they don’t care who you are where you set I was waiting almost 30 minutes that one person came and said wait again after 15 minutes we called another guy he said wait it’s been one hour and me and my gust were waiting but finally one person got our order I don’t know how they charge on bills an extra tips

The dishes are chipped, and when I called the manager he didn’t come to listen to my complain. Then there was a tip of 10 dollar, even though the person was rude, and didn’t listen to us. We had to pay a tip to someone who does not deserve it. Overall the food was okay but the service was really slow and bad. The furniture was rough!

For a time I used to be a regular customer, fan of the sort, especially in the weekends: for a midditerranean cuisine lover, Zaaki has always been an appealing choice. However, being the regular customer I’m, it’s hard to turn away from the sinking ship Zaaki is now assuming after hardly being afloat! Their food is served late, poorly cooked and some items are in their menus only; long since they had been actually served, like Sejuk! And in today’s experience I literally felt like I was robbed: paying money for absolutely no quality. I don’t think they can get any worse. Thank you Zaaki for the past time, I hope you retrieve a fraction of what once you used to be!

Great Mediterranean food selections. Food Prices are fair. HOWEVER their business is FRAUD!!!!! They would bill you for a different more expensive item than the thing you ordered to charge you more for it. It is by all means fraud! And when i spoke to the manager about it he told me the owner told them to do that because prices changed but they did not change it in the system or the menu!!! If that is true then SHAME ON YOU RUNNING A FRAUD BUSINESS. Never ever going back there again. The servers there are nice and somehow friendly but the service there is not organized resulting in SLOW service. Not a surprize if they're trained by people who would committ fraud and justify it.

Just took my family here for Ramadan iftar. I was absolutely amazed. I have never seen a spread so vast like this ever and I have had iftar and buffets back home in the Middle East. This was absolutely hands down really incredible. The owner is super nice and the staff is very friendly but super busy, as you can imagine, the volume of patrons and the minimal amount of staff on hand. And least not I forget to mention, the food tasted really really good. This is the best iftar in town and soooooo worth the price.

I must say this was the worst place I have been to. I left feeling sick from the food and the service. The place is filthy and unorganized. The wait time was for the food was horrible. We sat for more than 45 minutes for burgers which tasted awful. After asking multiple times for utensils I finally got dirty ones. The prices are incredibly high for the quality +18% waiters tip while you don’t get service

This was second time I ordered delivery. Horrible timing and messed up order both times. I only received half my order. They say they give soup and salad but I didn't receive any soup and the salad was just 2 bites. I called to speak with manager and he was completely rude trying to blame his computers for the delay. He didn't try to rectify the screw up on their end. Food was sub par. I've eaten in person there once and again service was horrible!

I’m from New York, and I work in a hookah lounge, I came down to smoke while on a trip, and the hookah is horrible, it’s better just to smoke at home, first I was given a broken hookah with instant coals, then I had to request coconut coals, and then even after replacing the hookah, the hookah had no flavor. After all is said and done I don’t recommend this place, you’re better off smoking at home.

Zack is a very nice relaxing place to chill out. However, lately service is been very bad. Just because they automatically add 18% gratitude the servers happen to be careless knowing that they are going to get paid. If it continues like that, I don't think they stay in business for to long. Instead they should allow the servers to work for their money by providing great service.

Hookah was good. A bit stingy with the sauces. They do an automatic 18% tip so you have to hope for a good server. My last visit I did not think the service warranted that tip. The drinks are over priced so it is best to just get water.

Very bad experience with this place. I had high exceptions. Well our server wasn't professional they carry drinks to the guest with there hand no tray or nothing. The food was average. No napkins with food we had to ask for it. I enjoyed the open air area. Most the stuff on the menu they don't have it. I will never go back again. I am so disappointed although I was encouraged by my friends to try it.

I had high expectations for this place due to some friends. Definitely a led down!! Felt very tight and congested!! The seating wasn’t very comfortable!! Our server was great!! The food was okay!! Fries were absolutely delicious!! I would probably just have to give it another try!!

The ambiance was unsettling. It gives off a whole in the wall vibe. The hookah is good, with adequate smoke and endless coals and tongs. But the hookah had been used for several different flavors as evident in the smoke flavor. They're super busy, almost too busy for their own good. An appalling auto gratuity put on even a single persons check. That legally shouldn't happen.

Amazing food and amazing staff. UPDATE: After going here for 2 months the quality of service has depreciated drastically and the availability is food is disappointing. I have repeatedly brought new people and the staff and the manager both are not receptive to the complaints since the service has drastically gone down because there are far too waiters and the tip is guaranteed so they bring you the essentials like water the last just before you have to get up and chase after your waiter for water. Appetizers come after your main course. They dont always have hookah flavors in stock and always have broken AC and a really LOUD fan running and NO MUSIC.

I don't smoke hookah but I was invited for dinner by a friend. I can understand the premium price for the service and menu item, but paying $12 to park outside the restaurant for valet because there is no other parking options is quite unusual. The valet isn't even available for the length Zaaki is open, so you have to guess where your keys went when the Valet staff goes missing at closing and if you're a new patron. So, if you enjoy hookah and are particular about the ambience of where you smoke, then Zaaki is probably one of the better establishments. However, I would not recommend it to any other patrons just visiting for sharing in company or late night dining as it's not a convenient experience.

My main concern is the hygiene practices and how they handle food and drinks. Floors are wet and slippery, filthy bathrooms, tables not cleaned properly and between customers use. I advise not to drink from water pitchers. I wonder how clean is the kitchen and food preparation areas. Health department needs to check that. Also, service is very poor and not organized. Items in the menu not available. The menus themselves torn out. The one star for the good taste of some of their dishes.

Me and my husband came and we had to ask 2 other servers to get us things such as food and drinks because our server barley showed her face..the table next to us had EXCELLENT service where the server checked on them frequently asking how everything is and if they need anything..I couldn’t even find my server to get the check?! All the other servers seemed to be doing what they were supposed to, but i have no clue where this one kept disappearing too. Although service for us was slow and totally indecent it seemed as an overall great place and am thinking to give it another chance..praying i don’t get the same girl or service.

I’ve only been here once and it was not a good experience. Came for lunch, there were only four people in the restaurant. The server saw me come in and seated me. 10 min later I had to go and find him to order. Ordered hookah, mango juice and the gyro. Hookah and juice came in okay time, but after 40 min I went to find the server again about the gyro. He said it takes time to cut the meat and that’s why it wasn’t out yet. I don’t believe this to be true because the cook was up front having a conversation with the server and as soon as I questioned him about the gyro, I saw the cook run to the back and it came out in 10 minutes. All this was jarring enough, but here’s the kicker... I went to go pay and the server was gone. Gone as in got in his car and drove somewhere gone. The cook came out as there was already someone ahead of me waiting to pay and leave and now all four restaurant patrons were ready to leave and the server was nowhere to be found. 10 min go by and the cook calls the server to come back. Another 10 min goes by and the server comes back. The server then had the audacity to add an 18% tip to the bill after all that foolishness. I will not be coming back to this place and do not recommend it to anyone else. Based on some of the other reviews, it’s clear I’m not the only one who’s experienced poor service here. The only kudos I will give is to the cook who apologized for the server leaving and stayed up front with the customers until the server came back.

I visited this place with my friends and I was totally unimpressed with the service and the staff. One person was taking all the orders and we had to wait over 45 minutes for our order which ended up being wrong. We had to ask over and over for utensils and water. The service was terrible. The food was below average. The furniture is wobbly and old. The atmosphere is awful. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re looking for a bad time.

This place has an amazing ambience and a great variety of sheesha/hookah but the service here is pathetic. It might take even more the 10 minutes for the waiter to perform a simple task like bringing the cheque at the end, leave apart the extremely slow service. I went for the first time and I will never go back. I believe food brings people together to enjoy life. This place has no respect for that. First it took 15 mintues to bring the menu and the menu was ripped. Then the waiter complained about other waiters stealing there table and customers. I ordered lamp with rice and my friend order chicken. We asked for drinks and they never came out. The waiter left us and was not to be found. Food quality was not good and my money and time was wasted. The mangers didn’t say sorry and was rude and seem like they don’t care at. They have customers but no respect and care but for only money. I highly do not recommend this place. Never again.

I rather go to darna and pay $30 for hookah then coming here because how slow they are. Then waiting for food is another one hour. Worst service ever then they apply tips for their worst service

Nice big patio which can be perfect for summer nights. Service here can be hit or miss, but the most recent time we went we were lucky to have a great server who was attentive and friendly - a Turkish guy named Fatih. Desserts were delicious (in my experience they haven't always been fresh) and the hookah and tea came relatively quickly.

Great place to have the best Shisha. Staff is great food is good. Great place to stay out late on weekends. Highly recommended. Bathrooms are in great shape. However, it looks like no one cleans them on regular intervals. Will recommend heaters on cooler nights.

The outside sitting area was good which we could sit for a long time. Very sweet and heavy Arabic sweets. Couldn't finish it all. However, Coffee and fries were cold. First time I saw that the waiters tip is included and mandatory in the whole charge, which I didn't know and so I tipped them separately as well! I think everyone should be given the option to tip not charged. Inside sitting area dirty and old furnishing. But overall a good place for a one time visit.

On most of my visits, the service has been a huge disappointment. The food is good though especially the chicken shuarma. Parking is an issue especially on weekends. Bring your own playing cards & stuff, they don’t have games. I don’t know if it is okay to name another hookah place or not but try “Sir Sandwich”.

I ordered food at 3AM last night knowing they close at 5AM. I ordered a chicken and steak shuarma, an orange juice, a soup of the day and a side of fries with sauce and utensils. Instead I received a bowl of rice with over cooked meat and some dry fries. I got no orange juice, no shuarma, no soup, no sauce no utensils. I was so disappointed I put what they gave me in the fridge. I came in today to zaakis to speak to the manager and I was greeted by the most disrespectful Hindu I have ever met, who refused to let me speak to the manager. Anyways I won’t be recommending this place to anyone or ever come back. If I could give it zero starts I would

I came back to this place after a very bad experience and therefore I would like to change my review based on my latest experience. The server Muqiq (I hope I’m spelling his name right) tall slender gentleman is the most dedicated, delightful server at Zaaki. Now I know that everytime I walk I will request him as my server. I noticed they hired some new staff that seem to be doing a lot better. Saif as always a great dedicated manager. I’m glad this place is working hard for their customers. I’m a regular customer and I’ll be coming back again :)

This place was better the first time I went last year. They must have changed management or chefs. The server knew nothing about the menu, the food took forever and when it arrived it was either cold or not fully cooked. I asked the manager to take off the crepes Bc they did not taste cooked but he said that we already ate it despite me telling him we didn’t realize it wasn’t cooked til half way into eating. He should have taken it off for customer service but he would rather us have a bad experience. I will not be returning and I told him that I would pay but I am not ever coming back to this restaurant. The only good thing about this place is the outdoor seating. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to eat.

If there was a rating with negative stars I would've chose it. Had a horrible experience today - mind you I'm a repeat customer and have been coming to Zakiis for the past two to three years. I came to zakiis with a group of people on 12/06/18 and Mofeeda was our server. He came to our table and asked us (group of 4) if we were only there to smoke or eat as well. I told him that we were going to get a hookah and that only I was going to eat. Initially I was planning on getting their chicken kabob. However, our server, Mofeeda, then proceeded to tell us that he had a great offer for us and that he would give us a free meal which was really good and all this other jazz (Magloba Entree) because he had already accidentally put in the order for the food for another table which did not want it, and therefore he would give it to us for FREE. I asked him if he was joking and he said that he was completely serious. So, thinking it was actually free, I agreed to his offer and thanked him. Once we asked for the check, I realized that he had charged for the meal (Magloba Entree). After confronting him about it, he completely denied that he ever said that it was free and became defensive. He then said that if it was too expensive for me he would remove the two dollars of Tax that was charged, instead of the freaking meal. At that point I was so disgusted by his lack of integrity and disrespect that I didn't bother arguing with him and just signed the check and walked out. You would think they would treat their repeat customers better than that. Have some damn integrity and DON'T tell people something is free just to trick them into getting it and then at the end charge them for it, just to cover your own a$$ and not own up to your mistake. They also added the tip onto the check without giving the option to not tip the waiter and therefore I couldn't even remove the tip.

Their hookah is mediocre but that would've been okay had we received a coal change. I told them from the start to not give us quicklight/start up coal but the Hookahs came out semi-burnt. Their service is not good by any means, the water Jug was not filled and we were given foam cups to drink in. This isn't a place I would come back to, i was referred by a friend and I think I'm going to disown that friend as well. The scenery is nice tho.

It's good place for hookah and sandwiches, ifbyiu don't mind super crowded and tables very close to each other, diffenatly no restroom, it's only one and very dirty after waiting in lines for good 15 to 20 minutes. Service was good tho! Guys you need to upgrade your restrooms!!!

Hassaan, the supervisor was very kind towards us. He went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied by the service. His customer service skills are exceptional. I highly recommend you ask for him when you come here. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

A decent hookah lounge but has limited parking spaces. Most people park on the church parking lot next to it. The service is ok, sometimes there are long waits till you get charcoal replaced. The food is ok for quick bites and light dinners. The outdoor seating is great in warm weather.

Absolutely disgusting service, been there once and the worst restaurant service I ever experienced, they don’t even give water, and when you ask they will give you water in a small soup cup. They made us wait an hour to give us food, even though we went there at 1 pm, there were only 3 customers including us that time, still they took forever to serve our order. On top of that the tips are mendatory. I mean they will take our money to fill those damn lazy waiters pocket but deny to serve better. Absolutely disgusting. Do not recommend this restaurant. I wish I could give them 0 rating. 1 is too much for them.

Their iftar buffet menu is disgusting. They said its buffet, but they never refill. And one thing i am sure. This is not Middle Eastern restaurant, they just pretend to be Middle Eastern.

Used to be a really good hookah place to go to, but unfortunately the quality went down. Let's starts with the basics, the hookah is not good at all and you have to return it three times in order for them to get it right. The hookah burns out after 10 minutes and barely any flavor. I am not sure if it's under new management but there used to be a manager who looked like a powerlifter ran that place greatly. This guy no longer there and quality of food, and hookah been down. It's really unfortunate because this place used to be a joy to smoke hookah.

Too many people walking around not being attentive. If you don't say anything, you will be ignored. I'm a delivery driver and 95% of my pick ups take more than 10 mins. to get ready. Whether they forgot to put the order in or they just slow. Then for me to get the food and deliver it and the customer tells me it's not right, that's just crazy!

Zaakis has been the top places in the dmv and the go to spot of the area. Hasan is the main reason i keep coming back with making the atmosphere feel just home with amazimg hookah and food the place is the spot. Would recommend 1000%

There are indoor and outdoor sections, I sat in the outdoor section and still everywhere was smelling hookah. I ordered lamb kabab and it was cooked just how I wanted, two thumbs up for that. Price was ok. They included the tip automatically. The waiters were nice and attentive. Right next to the restaurant there is a wide parking lot but the entrance is not on route 7, instead it is on Glen Carlyn Rd.

Their service getting worse and worse every time I come there. Last couple times I had to go and find my server to tell him my hookah coal needs to be changed. They included the tips in a check now but to be honest I would leave much less for the service that was provided.

HORRIBLE , will never go back. We arrived around 10:00PM it was 27 degrees outside, the heat was OFF!! The owner thinks it not cold enough to turn the heat on, it was freezing there , service was too slow knowing that it was not too crowded . Will never go back there!

This place is a Arab hole the food takes for ever to come out every time i go there or the hot tea it came wrom for us like where did you have it on top of the counter for who and I was waiting 20 minutes for freaking tea. Nah man this place should close down it needs remodeling and repairs and need a new crew team

I've had Zaaki recommended to me a handful of times and went to check it out. What Zaaki may have lacked in its presentation was more than made you for by the experience. Admittedly the menus were dirty with old, dried food on some of the pages, but I didn't let that be too much of a bother. Between the appetizers, hookah, drinks, entree, and desserts my family and I had a wonderful time. The waiter, Abdool, was very patient and friendly, willing to answer any question about menu items. The food was great, and it felt less like we were just having lunch and more like we'd taken a quick trip to the Middle East. Will be coming here again!

Zaaki has amazing food, very reasonable priced and most importantly the kitchen closes at 4 am. This is a place where I can come late and night a have real food and not fast food. Not giving 5 stars since they add 18% service fee and they expect you to tip the server on top of that. I think that they should let the client tip based on the quality of the service.

Great food , but the service is super slow it took an hour and half to get our order. Also they would bill you for a different more expensive item than the thing you ordered to charge you more for it. It is by all means fraud!

The food was basic and came out kind of cold after waiting for over 40 minutes. They also forgot my husband's order completely. I let him share mine so the rest of our group could eat since we were all starving. I'm glad I did because it took another 40 minutes for his gyro to come out! We were just about to tell them not to bother bringing it when they showed up with it at the table. They had a buffet option that night and just seemed like they couldn't be bothered with us since we weren't doing the buffet. Also, the bathroom was very very gross. Emergencies only level of gross. I would not come back here.

Food and experiences here are always enjoyed. However servers are all over the place and service is slow. I can't say our server wasnt capable of exceptional service. I honestly think the management there just needs to be a little more organized about servers and sections. It'd go a long way.

I went there for iftaar buffet. It was a chaos. They kept running out of food and took a while to replenish. They ran out of drinks and said the time was up to make new. I doubt I will ever go there again.

Today I went on my lunch break at 12pm and they were closed and a guy sitting in the restaurant asked me to come back at 1pm. This is SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL because they suppose to open at 11am. Sadly I probably wont go back but there food is good. Just very unprofessional service.
