Poor service! I've frequented Yechon before and know not to expect too much from the customer service aspect but our dining experience tonight was terrible. To start off, the waitresses are not friendly and talk down to their customers. This is something i not only noticed tonight but have noticed every time I’ve come to Yechon in the past. Our main meals were brought to us before even any of our appetizers and side dishes came out, we had to ring the bell multiple times throughout the meal because our water glasses had run dry and no one had stopped by to check in on our table. And to top things off my brother had to wait over 30 minutes while everyone else at the table had already received their meals and almost finished them before he got his entree. All we got when we had inquired about the missing meal was "Oh it will be out soon". I honestly don’t think it’s worth the trip out here for the mediocre food and poor service. I am Korean and I know there are dozens of other Korean establishments that serve great food with much better service. Very disappointed and hope to see changes in the way things are run at the establishment.

Never disappointed, and if possible this time was better than the numerous times I have been here. Firstly, it’s open 24/7! Amazing!! The food is fresh and prepared to order. The Bon Chon is without equal in the area. The Sushi is good as well. The Bulgogi is delicious. I recommend visiting late night and if you go ask for Thomas, our server. He was amazing and professional. Gave great recommendations. There is a lovely bakery next store.

Very nice and authentic Korean food experience. Service is quick and food comes out pretty fast despite the crowd! Enjoyed the wait staff in traditional outfits; they seemed very well put-together :) lots of traditional yummy sides, great hot soups with veggies, my friends ate all the meats! I ate all the sides! Something for everyone. And can’t believe they are open 24/7. You can literally just sit there all night and eat and drink and have a good time. Some big groups came in to celebrate their birthdays or hen’s night out. Hotpot seems a very popular dish here. One tip: don’t wear your fav clothes or wash your hair before going. Everything will smell like Korean bbq afterwards. Totally worth it though :)

Disappointing: quality has gone down. This was my second visit to Yechon. The previous was about a year ago and I really liked it. This time it was a disappointment. The chapche and was OK. The bulgogi and kimchichige are better at the Korean supermarket. And the grilled mackerel was almost inedible: too greasy and very heavy. I will not be going back. There are plenty of other better choices around.

I dined for lunch, and let me tell you the place gets crowded quickly! I don't know if it's for sheer popularity as the space is simply limited. The food was only decent. I wasn't entirely pleased with the service; they weren't attentive, and I didn't get a chance to order a beverage. I would consider trying it once more, but overall I was not impressed.

The quality of food and service is outstanding, especially for a 24 hour restaurant - absolutely impeccable. Meals are adequately priced, and come in hearty portions that taste like home styled cooking. Menu variety is spectacular as well. Staff is consistently courteous and friendly. Highly recommend!

BBQ meat were taste good. Grilled fish was very fishy. Although taste for noodles in plate was good but it was very wet. Very busy small place, in the first 5 minutes after we set down, waitresses came ask us if we are ready to order for at least 3-5 times.

Probably our favorite table top grilling Korean BBQ restaurant in the area, and that's saying a lot considering how many good KBBQ restaurants are available in this area. Comparable to the KBBQ restaurants in Los Angeles. The "for two" specials usually feed four. We typically order the special #3, which comes with beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and lobster. Delicious!

So... the only reason this has 2 stars is for the memories I have of this restaurant. Most of the waitresses are super nice but the experience we had today with our waitress was horrible. She didn't understand what we were asking and so she walked away while cursing us in Korean. We had no idea what was going on until the manager came and realized we just had a simple request. The other issue I have is they don't provide substitutions for sides. If we don't eat meat, offer a veggie substitute. It's cheaper for the restaurant anyways so I just don't get their inflexibility. We barely ate. The food was of horrible quality and the service was terrible. They used to be awesome, we were regulars... no more. Not a good experience at all.

We have been customers for years and have always enjoyed our time here. Tonight after paying for our meal the waitress forced us to tip more because it was dinner time. I have never ever had any food establishment ask their customers to pay different amounts of tips for different times of the day! We tipped more than enough and yet was held back and told to tip more, not acceptable at all. That's the last time we will ever dine here again.

Absolutely love this place. Organized and fast customer service and high quality of Korean food. I have been coming here for the past 9 years and have brought all my friends -Korean or non-Korean to experience good Korean food. They have a variety but my favorite are the seafood pancake, Japchea, 돼지불고기, and 육개장. They also own the bakery store next door which is cool!

Waitress was rude and seemed to want to rush us. Maybe because we did not order a big meal, it seemed the customers around us were getting all the service. My water glass was not even refilled. We asked initially if we could move tables and the waitress stated the table we wanted to move to which was right next to the table we were seated at was normally not used. Not 1 minute when by and other customers were seated there. They certainly got better service than us, actually everybody around us except us. We will never return.

It was hard to review this restaurant. Yechon is sometimes good but sometimes bad. I've had some to go order and dine in experience, however, a quality of the side dishes tasted terrible because they've put it outside for a long time. Little expensive. However it a nice place to have korean barbeque.

I was there this morning to pick up my order what I made over the phone, a gentleman said a price, and I felt it is higher than my thought then I asked him is that a morning special price ?then he said "it is" I admit I should check a menu before I leave but honestly I visited this "Yechon" many times every time I visited Virginia and overall I could give them 5stars however, when my wife pointed me out about a price then I called to Yechon and tried to get someone's explanation, believe or not, in 2 minutes they just changed 3 person , to answer me , of course I didn't even get any apologies . Money really doesn't make me upset, attitude from three different people erase my good feelings about this restaurant. Shame on you!! 지난 일요일-6/2/2019 아침 버지니아에 방문할때마다 거의 잊지않고 찾는 식당이라서 뉴저지로 돌아갈때 가져가려고 대구매운탕 한개를 전화로 미리 오더함 픽업을 갔을때 남자 종업원이 13불 얼마얼마 센트라 말함 솔직히 내가 기억하는 아침메뉴와 가격이 좀 더 비싼듯함 그냥 궁금해서 한번 물었음 "아침가격 맞아요?" 남자 직원 대답 "네" 솔직히 쪽팔리기 싫어서 그냥 돈냈슴 차라리 거기서 확인을 해야하는걸 안한것은 분명 내 잘못 마침 해장국을 누가 가져가는걸 보고 "견물생심"으로 하나 더 추가 집사람이 뉴저지로 출발 전 "예촌" 대구매운탕 얼마냈어라고 묻기에 13불 얼마냈다고 대답 왜 10불인데 그리 많이 냈냐? 정말 언짢은 마음으로 예촌에 전화 "방금전 대구 매운탕 픽업한 사람입니다라고 말하니 "아침메뉴에 대구매운탕 파나요?" 어이가 없다가 돌아버릴뻔 그까짓 2불차이나는거 "죄송합니다"한마디면 서로가 좋을텐데 세사람을 연결하며 끝까지 사과 한마디 없슴 당연히 다시 안가고싶다 부끄럽게 생각하세요

We got there and they gave us a table Ready Remote that flashes, but it never flashed us. We were waiting for almost an hour. We finally went to ask and they apologized and sat us right away. The food was very good and the service was very good. The price was inline and it is very good if you like Korean food. I would recommend it.

PARKING ALERT! this amazing 24 hour Korean restaurant shares a parking-lot with an equally popular bakery, which is a problem. That is to say, parking at prime times is a headache. You would be well served to park at the neighboring Wells Fargo, which is adjacent to the rear park lot. Do not allow the lack of available parking to dissuade you from some of the most delicious Korean barbeque found in the Washington-Baltimore area!

Excellent service despite a full house. I had the Bibimbap with kimchi for the first time as I usually order BBQ. The main dish was excellent and nicely spiced. I especially liked all the side dishes. The staff checked back with me regularly. There is easy handicapped access & plenty of parking. They have a very extensive Korean & Japanese menu selection. I will definitely be back to try more new dishes.

My boys went to this place with their friends team and coaches. The food was awesome for them but the service not at all. The waitress was rude with them asking for the tip, they gave the tip but the waitress told them that "some people left more tips than they" after the "poor tip" received, the waitress, with a very rude attitude, literally kicked them out of the place telling them that "they need to leave because someone else needs the table". If you don';t leave a big tip, you'll kick out of the place like they did with this group.

They have great lunch specials. Service is fast and is usually friendly. The salmon lunch box is a good deal as is their sundubul (tofu seafood soup). But their teriyaki chicken missed the bar. Would not get that again. The sushi is so-so too...

It was 5:30 when I went for dinner so there was no crowd. Never seen this place so empty. The service was good. The waitresses weren't overwhelmed like they normally are during peak times and weekends. Taste and quality was good. One thing about this place is that the food is always consistent and predictable and that's good. Avoid weekends and peak dinner times.

This place is well known in the area for it's authentic cuisine and being open 24 hours. The place is small and your may need to wait for a table but that's not a deal breaker. The cost of eating here is surprisingly moderate. Service is very good with more than one waitress assisting you. They also sushi and it's very good as well. This is a place I take my guests and everyone seems to enjoy themselves. Give them a try.

Fantastic! My mother told me about how a Korean friend of hers would take her here during college; thirty years later, it's still as great as ever. The seafood and scallion pancake is ENORMOUS but super filling & delicious! The bulgogi is also great; not mind-blowing or anything, but definitely delicious. As per usual, they give you free refillable appetizers which are delicious; the sweet, potato-based one is my favorite. Give this one a try, but be prepared to wait; we had a 30 minute wait on a Sunday night.

Over priced mediocre Korean cuisine. Maybe they have a secret menu for Koreans only and much better? Except for the squid & seafood casserole, there was very little meat in any of our dishes. By very little I mean less than 5 ounces of beef in beef rib bimimbap & the meat did not look like rib. Less than 3 ounces of pork in the pork-kimchi casserole. Really pathetic. Flavors weren't there. Seafood pancake was good & should be at $18 but the squid was tough & in large chunks. Spring onion was also cut into large pieces - very strange. Waitresses were all very nice. However, the tall young thin man refilling tea was weird & rude. He poured tea all over our table & into the condiment tray. I had to quickly grabbed my phone to avoid it getting wet. The young man did not apologize & refused to make eye contact. Nor did he clean the spill up. After our table was tea-ed, I noticed the bill from a previous guest was left on our table which leads me to believe our table was not cleaned, or not properly cleaned. While I was realizing this I observed the sushi chef eating with his gloved hands. Not just to taste but was repeatedly snacking for a good 15 minutes. Thankfully we did not order sushi. Then my dining experience was disgustingly capped off appropriately for the theme of the night, I entered the small ladies' room to see a waitress brushing her teeth. And still furiously brushing while I washed my hands & exited. There are far better Korean restaurants to choose from in Annandale. Save your time & money for a place that respects its patrons. A restaurant that prepares Korean dishes authentically, thoughtfully & sanitarily.

this is far and away the best Korean food in DC metro area. we've been coming here regularly for years. Nothing beats it. We spent many years in Korea and this is the best tasting, most authentic Korean food around. our favorites are Bulgogi, Japjae noodles, gimchi stew, and bibim bap. it's not cheap, but worth every penny.

There is a sushi bar, which is only open during the day hours, and the Korean BBQ is offered 24 hours. The parking lot is small and might be difficult finding a spot during the busy hours, but the food is so worth it! Great service all around!

This wasn't my family's first pick for Korean food in Annandale, but it did the job. The food was good, they were helpful in making sure you knew what condiments went with the dishes, and they were quick to respond when we needed assistance. We went during dinner on a Sunday evening and it was super busy. In my opinion, all the employees seem like they're on an intense high alert because of busy it was. Despite that, I felt the service was still efficient.

I’ve tried Korean bbq/Korean food in this area in 4 different restaurants and this is by far the best one yet! The service was remarkable, really nice servers. The food was exceptional. We were a party of 4 and ordered the bbk order for 3 (which was more than enough). We also tried a few sushi rolls, which were also delicious. Their Apple soju is so smooth and delicious! And the tofu (part of the sides) is one of the best ones I’ve ever tasted. The 20 minute wait during rush hour on a Friday was more than worth it. We will come back again.

A friend of ours took us to this place and we love it. We drive up from King George, VA to go to the Korean salon and Super H Mart and typically eat somewhere while we're up in the area (My wife is Korean). We really enjoyed this place, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. It was a little hot in the restaurant but still an awesome 24/7 joint for Korean food. We'll definitely be going back.

The food was good, but the service isn’t. If you are Vietnamese or Chinese, beware! They might not give you the same quality service as others. I have been to this place for at least 5 years, but recently I had quite a few problems there. I had this waiter talk to me rudely, the other will completely ignore me. 3.5 stars. If you're a NOVA native and enjoy traditional style Korean food, Yechon is a solid go to. They have morning/weekday specials. Cheap/tasty/healthy Korean food. My go to is the haejangguk (hangover soup). My second go to is the beef rib dolsot bimbibap. Those two are available on their morning special menu. I try to get in for lunch to cash in on the discount. Service is normally nothing spectacular, you get what you need; but I've heard stories of rude service.

I've been coming here on and off for years. Last night service was the worse I've seen it. Four of us were seated at 6:30PM. We waited 15 minutes to order. Then, the food arrived quickly. We were done by 7:20PM. The waitress brought out our check ($110 before tip). After we paid and tipped, we were told that she needs our table and we people are waiting. She says that we have to "get out". My friend went to the bathroom. While we waited, the staff started putting a dirty rag on our table and rudely started wiping while we were seated. At one point, she gave us an exasperated face. We were out of the restaurant by 7:25. Normally, I can overlook a bad service day. However, I can't overlook this horrible of a service. I'll be meeting friends at other Korean restaurants in Annandale. The food was always good, but not extraordinary. I came partly for the atmosphere and service.

Great food, reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity. Some of the servers were a little impatient/rude, but I could understand as it's packed, all the time according to my friend who introduced me to the place. The spicy bulgogi was very good, as were all the little appetizers that they served. The soup we tried was a tad salty, but I prefer less salt in my food in general, so that may just be on me! Overall, worth the 40 minutes drive, & will go again, esp as the bakery next door is top notch!! (The wife loves bing tsu)

Yechon is pretty good and convenient because it's open 24/7. During peak hours, though, it's packed and parking is atrocious. The food here is generally and usually pretty good. Not the absolute best and nothing to write home about, but pretty good. The menu is also very diverse and they don't really do anything badly. That is, if they get the food right. They usually do. I'd give Yechon 3.5 stars because, on occasion, the food is a little subpar. The dwenjang jjigae is pretty good usually, but they mess up sometimes. Also, sometimes some of the food comes out undercooked. I'll keep going back for the convenience and value proposition (the price point isn't the absolute best, but it's very fair for what you get).

The restaurant makes me feel that I'm in Korea. - the servers dressed in native clothing, the furniture in the restaurant, the primary language spoken by the staff. Enjoyed bbq there. The best place to describe Yechon is that this place provides comfort food to the Korean community.

It's so crowded there... ahhh long lines, every single time I go there and I've been there quite a few times. It only means one thing n one thing only. IT'S SO GOOD and everyone know it. I have not seen any frowning faces though. So why only 4 stars? Only to encourage the owners to do some work on waiting areas. Maybe some benches outside along the wall b/c there's just no space to do anything inside and if they did I'd rather see more tables. ;) they do have have lots and lots of tables so they can receive tons of customers and to be honest the wait isn't too bad other then dinnertime on the weekends. The servers are incredibly fast to get to your table to take orders, serve, refills, polite, friendly and they all work together not for tip but to take care of the customers. The cleaning crews are also fast in refilling your water and hot barley tea. If anyone out there had different experience it must been really, really bad day. I review a lot and I don't give false statements and my family knows how high standards I have. Also, any Korean restaurants' servers seems rude by 'not speaking' to you, most of the times, it's because of their lacking in English and they see this as an embarrassing trait since they live in America. So, don't dismiss too quickly. The foods from the menu that I ordered are all good so far... they have a lot to choose from all depends on your mood. When it's hot, cold, raining or gloomy... I think that's the best thing about Korean foods, all depend on your moods/needs they have it to cover it, especially, Yechon has them all. I don't know what it's like in the kitchen but they're doing awesome job. I hope they can do something for the waiting areas if law allows it. They deserve 5 stars... if you didn't give 5 stars, I urge to give them another chance(s).

We just came back from the restaurant. This restaurant used to be good, but not anymore. A owner of the restaurant must have been changed since the last time we were here. The side dishes are not fresh and not tasteful, and its services from waitresses not as good as before. Well, we're not going to go to Yechon Korean Restaurant anymore. We prefer to go to another restaurant. Our experience is not good today (March 28, 2019).

I used to love this place. it was super-tasty and good service. the last time, it was terrible. food was barely edible, and my water glass ran-dry, and was never refilled, and it took well over 35min after I was seated to even get a menu. It was late, so I lost track of time. I had got up to leave when they came over and tossed the dirty laminate in my direction. Never again! There are literally dozens of other awesome Korean food right in the neighborhood!

This place is open 24/7 365, and it is always packed! All of the wait staff speak Korean almost exclusively, which is a testament to the authenticity of the restaurant. An Army buddy of mine who had been stationed in Seoul, said that going to Yechon was like going to his favorite restaurant in that capital city. The food is always good, and the service is great! Highly recommended!!

This place is great! Lots of variety to choose from, and very delicious. They also have sushi along with Korean food, and ample seating. The staff is also very friendly, and one thing you never have to worry about is whether or not they're open. They are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!!!

The food was delicious! The sashimi tasted fresh. The side dishes complimented the entire meal. I noticed the waiter was unhappy that we wanted to cook everything on one grill but she happily complied. The setting was a bit cramped. Also, it was interesting that the waitresses wore Korean clothing.

Food here is always amazing. Worth the hour drive for me. However, on the weekends they are crazy crowded. Bring your patience and perhaps a book because you will wait on the weekends. Always worth the wait though.

Wonderful selection and quality! I absolutely cannot fault the food, prices, or service. The place is nice, but a bit close for most Americans. If you have spent time in Korea at all you will recognize the closeness. The noise can be a bit of a struggle on busy nights as you have to nearly shout just to hear across the table. I will be back, and I will be uncomfortably full of delicious Korean specialties again soon.

My favourite Korean place in North America! The food is amazing! I especially love their kimchi hot pot! They also have a great selection of food (Korean and Japanese) on their menu, so many that it's hard to choose from. The service is quick and the price is reasonable. And almost every time I go, it's always crowded because it's that delicious :D It's even crowded at midnight. I highly recommend.

We came at 9:30 at night on a weekday and the place was packed and the parking lot was full. We had good service and the food quality was good and fresh. We had barbecue dishes cooking at the table. Personally I thought the portion was slightly less than I expected but in the end we all were full. Even though it was late night the service was good. We were attended to frequently. The only discomfort I had was that I don't think the ventilation was working well and the ambient air was a bit smoky.

Spicy Korean food and beer, a perfect combo. I visited Yechon on a Sunday evening, place was packed. Only waited 10 mins to be seated. Had a spicy Korean Casserole (hot pot style), was excellent. The sides that came with my meal were all very tasty. My middle aged female server was excellent and treated me like I was her son. Thanks Mom!
