REVIEWS OF Trademark Drink and Eat IN Virginia

Alejandra Hawkins

Great food not the best service we waited a long time for our food to come out.

Kevin C

Good for brunch, expensive drinks though

Aaron Watkins

Great place to eat and good people but it is kind of pricey.

Dashia Davis

Worst service, coldest, average, overpriced food I have ever had.

D Landon

Great burgers, slaw, and beer. Took us a while to check this place out, but it was worth the visit. The burger (cheeseburger) was so flavorful. The slaw is heavy on slaw and light on mayo based sauce...which is just great...it balanced the burger perfectly. The daft beer list had something for everyone. Service was more than good...not intrusive, but attentive to our needs. Will be back.

Jamie Harvey

The food was very tasty and the service was great.

Ryan Barrett

Kevin Greenleaf

Close to PTO.

Happy hour food is tastier than the norm. The issue is service has always been grumpy or slow and the ambiance is a bit too cold/uncomfortable for my liking.

Glenn Carney

Good food. Odd service...

Alice McDaniel

Noisy. Food so so. Prices high for the amount.

Andrew Bostjancic

The food is overpriced but what do you expect for a restaurant attached to a hotel. My recommendation, only drink and eat here during happy hour or for a pricier lunch skip dinner and breakfast. I have a particular vendetta against their breakfast and I will get to that later. The beer selection usually has an interesting choice or two but only worthwhile at happy hour prices. Happy hour menu is your usual upper scale bar snacks meaning tasty and totally unhealthy. Breakfast rant, if you get breakfast here never ever pay for extra bacon. Ordered it once and paid $5 for two tiny thing burnt strips. It was as if they ran to Denny's and took from their breakfast buffet and upcharged me for that nonsense.

Everytime I come to Trademark, I have a good time and enjoy some decent food and drinks. They've got a great bar for cocktail drinks and other liquor but not the most cost-effective for beer if you usually only drink beer. The bartenders (or mixologists) are just like inventors/creative thinkers and can whip up something innovative and unique for each person. If all else fails, just order a Trademark Old Fashioned. Food is good. I've had their chicken wings, Trademark burger, and the Cuban mac and cheese. Everything I've had has been tasty. Service here is great too. Servers are nice and friendly. The last time I came here, our server brought an assortment of pastries and jams while we waited for our brunch, free of charge. They always come around to fill up your drinks and ask you if you want anything else, even if it gets a little busy. Plus, the decor and atmosphere is very hipster-like, what with the old books, prints, and other paraphernalia that gives a nod to the PTO next door. The restaurant's name, logo, and decor are inspired by the Patent and Trademark Office.

We just thought this was your standard hotel bar....it wasn't. Good drinks, great service! Of you stay at The Westin Alexandria go to The Trademark, a non traditional bar.

Visited this place for lunch and ordered crabcake sandwich which turned out to be average.

It’s pretty hard to mess up eggs and potatoes. For that, I give them a gold star. So disappointed in this breakfast.

Shawn Daley

Nice happy hour, good drink specials . Had bourbon BBQ wings which were tasty

Kassie Sarr-Dietershagen

Always good beer and bites. Buffalo chicken pot stickers are amazing; so are the chicken wings (although they don't pair well with each other). Great salads too.

Duke Nukem

Solid but pricey

Elizabeth Williams

Oh man sooooo good. Get the omelette! They need legit hot sauce bottles though. Idk what the heck those miniature things were.

Amit Jain

Decent food. Not the cheapest of places. Decent happy hour. It's everything you expect from a bar/restaurant in a Westin.

James Woodworth

Good chicken wings

The atmosphere and drinks were good. But the restaurant was so cold. And my entrée was too overcooked.

Great food for lunch or a bar snack. Though a small menu, everything I've ordered had been well prepared and delicious. Nice bar atmosphere for an after dinner drink with friends.

Fine drinks, great service

Siddiq Qidwai

Part of the Westin hotel, it has nice styling and decor. The crab cake sandwich with the optional fries in a small bucket was tasty. Service was reasonable. For some reason, generating receipts for six people turned out to be half-hour long struggle.

Love this place!

George Wheeler

Gorgeous hotel. Wonderful staff. The interior is well designed, the rooms were comfortable, and clean. Even the brunch dining prices were semi reasonable for a hotel restaurant leading more toward $$$ than $$$$$. Tried the Virginia Ham Melt and had a great brunch with Fries. Absolutely delicious!

Advertised as a fancy must go for a romantic Valentine's day dinner....it wasn't. It was a bar with a bar menu. Great drink selection and good looking bar snacks. Nothing fancy though

Dan Gentry

A nice little hidden gem for wonderful food. Their weekend brunch is absolutely amazing as well. Be sure to try the hash, you will not be disappointed.

Ted Socha

Good place with very few other good options around.

Food is bland and tasteless, what you might expect from a large hotel eatery. If you've ever had breakfast sausage in Montreal you know that it is tasteless and the consistency of toothpaste. For some reason, they thought it would be a good idea to serve that sausage here.... It is not!

We arrived in Alexandria late and hungry so we decided to try the hotel restaurant. We ordered the Soft Warm Pretzel Bites as an appetizer and shared their Trademark Classic Hamburger. The Pretzel Bites were very tasty and buttery when eaten straight but they also came with a honey maple mustard and a chipotle cheese dipping sauce that were fun. I wouldn't have minded having a few more pretzels but there was way more sauce than we could use. The hamburger wasn't anything fancy but was truly delicious. I typically tend to enjoy burgers but not get too excited about them. This one was tasty enough that we had to return the next day to settle a craving. As long as we were there to split the hamburger again, we also added the Mussels Diablo and their Balvenie Whiskey Flight. The PEI mussels came just the way I enjoy them best, in a savory broth with andouille sausage and grilled bread. The Balvenie Flight included a nice pour of their older DoubleWood, Caribbean, and Port aged Scotches. They were served on a wooden tray that had a chalk label indicating which was which so I didn't need to tax my memory. There was also an eyedropper of water and small glass of ice for experimenting. The DoubleWood and Caribbean were very good but the Port was in another league. This restaurant is nice and quiet with friendly service and good food.

Decent bar.

Russell Montgomery

Food quality: Pretty doggone good. Service: good to excellent, drops off sharply in ratio to lateness of hour and distance seated from bar. (Might be an under-staffing issue. They are polite at the very least.) Drink refill lag time can be drastically reduced if you are not opposed to some frantic gesticulation. Atmosphere: Not bad. Yammering drinkers, decent beers on tap described on chalkboard, music volume low enough to not be quite recognizable. It's a hotel bar/grill. It does well as such.

Fish & Chips were the best since leaving the UK. Seafood Mac & Cheese was as good as advertised. Wife said waiter and service was amazing (I am a bit suspicious), good beer. Even if attached to a hotel it is was in the top 2 dinners for the last two weeks.

I’ve enjoyed coming here over the past few years, but the restaurant/bar area is looking very tired, threadbare, and worn. The bar area looks dated and very bland, like it was made on the cheap. Chairs are grungy and cracked, the wood floors need refinished, and the wallpaper is peeling. It’s a good location and the place could really be an area favorite with a remodel. Feels like it’s just limping along. None of these things would be a big deal if this were a hole in the wall place, but it’s clear they’re going for an upscale vibe and it falls way short. Grilled spiced wings are delicious, but when I brought visiting friends here for a taste, it was embarrassing to find that Sunday meals were brunch only— at least at the time. Hopefully that’s changed. Service is usually very good as well as the drink selection.

Patrick Lupwishi

The food was amazing and the services was top notch,Nicole was friendly and her smile was the icing on the cake.she made the entire experience great.

Bob Merold

The best option in the area, good food and surprisingly rich drink menu.

Cyrille Barr

Okay food. Service takes awhile. Attached to a hotel. Waitress was honest and knowledgeable.

Good bar food. Good beer selection.

Stayed in Westin where Trademark is, figured I would try for breakfast as Starwood has upped their food game in most hotels over the last few years. NOT this one. Inattentive, poorly trained, slow service. Average at best food. Worst small cup of coffee i've had in a long time for $5.50. Recommend you avoid. I won't be back.

Edmond Joe

Popular place to meet friends and co-workers.

Philip Bonzell

Pricey but the food is pretty good and they have a decent draft list

Kat Doucette

Food wasn’t bad but not worth writing home about. Service and food runners aren’t the best with communication and things were delayed or not as expected. Don’t plan on coming back.

Relaxing bar, no problem with the service. Good for groups, and also solo drinking with the many screens for sports and news. Also used as the breakfast setting for guests of The Westin hotel. This is very overpriced, and shouldn't be considered if the buffet option is unavailable (capacity dependent).

K George

Thanksgiving dinner was awesome

Chris Alex

I was surprised. Decent menu options, food was good, service was good. We both had the Philly which had a different spin on a classic and it was great. The chili was ok and my colleague said the fries were good. This is a solid option in North Alexandria where here are slim pickings for decent food.

Food was unimpressive, happy hour for the area was over priced. It had a good selection of beer. Bit the overall experience was meh. If you are staying in the hotel above and don't feel like walking a quarter of a mile to old town then this is the place for you.

Peter Aburdeineh

This was ok. They have a good selection of beer. The food was good as well. Looks really clean. Service was slow and the staff did not seem to be enthusiastic to be working there.

Caitlin Denney

Trademark eat and drink and the Westin hotel that is attached to it were recently bought out. Underneath the new owners there have been several small changes to the bar, as well as some staff turnover. I give this 4 stars instead of 5 because the staff that they lost were amazing and made it feel like I was always known, remembered, and welcome. Of the members that remain and a few of the new ones that I have gotten to know they have an incredible service and continue to provide amazing drinks. I think the quality of the food has changed a little bit since the purchase but it could have just been an off couple of days when I was there. I wish they would be able to serve drinks with brunch rather than having to wait for the bar manager coming in after 2 pm. I highly recommend to everyone: order the trademark Manhattan in an order of loaded fries. Or their really amazing mac and cheese.

Brian Campo

Excellent food and wait staff. Their signature drinks are interesting and always worth a try

Geepy Pe

Went here for happy hour. The server was awesome and the HH wings were good.
