This Restaurant is classified in the category of Cajun restaurant.
Wait staff excellent. Wonderfully prepared fresh seafood. Great historic atmosphere. Been going here for years. Best fresh seafood in Alexandria.
Very nice location and the Triple Norfolk is very good. Great atmosphere to enjoy a quiet meal.
Great seafood and the service was wonderful
Beautiful setting with mediocre food. Crab cakes were very good
Excellent lump crab cakes that will melt in your mouth as you savor each bite!!! The menu is as 5-star as the atmosphere!!! Thank me later!
Service was excellent. Atmosphere excellent. Food was just okay. Crab cakes were good with no fillers ,mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables had absolutely no seasoning. Kids burger came out totally raw. They did remake it, but we were almost done eating before it came out.
Great food...wonderful service. The waiter (an aspiring writer) went out of his way to be helpful and provide what we needed. Will visit again.
My wife and I made a reservation to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary, wanting to enjoy some good seafood, which is not that easy to find in the DC area. We were pleased beyond expectation. The food was absolutely delicious, portions were generous and the wait staff was so friendly and attentive. We were treated so well, thinking because it was our special day, but we noticed that Saul (the manager) and the wait staff were treating all of the customers as special guests. This restaurant is wonderful. We will definitely be back as often as possible.
We loved the food and the look and feel of this dining establishment. Highly recommended.
Good food, great staff, nice evening
Excellent food, awesome service and great location! Crab cakes were the best I have ever had and the Lobster linguine was flavorful, fresh and full of lobster! Our server was attentive, professional and gave great dining suggestions. Highly recommend The Wharf!
Great night! It was my boyfriend's birthday and we dined with his parents. Elli our witness was AMAZING! Such great service, food was great and she was very thoughtful.
Great location and food. Friendly staff.
Excellent food in delightful surroundings and with very good staff. Very highly recommended.
Great food for my first time to the DMV.
Service, quality, and experience were excellent as always. The she crab soup and horseradish encrusted salmon was spot on as always. We had a great time. We had a friend visiting from Thailand so dinner was important.
This is some of the best seafood I've ever had. The menu isn't huge but everything on it is delicious. I keep going back. Service is slow, to the point where if the food wasn't so good, I'd probably not return. The scallops are amazing! Make a reservation if its Thurs-Sat.
Amazing crab cake. Chose the coleslaw as my side and was super impressed: it was not soupy/sloppy! Wonderfully historical atmosphere. A must visit!
The service and food are outstanding. Danielle our server was very attentive. Highly recommend if you're looking for great seafood.
The food was delish though a bit pricey.
Delicious food, attentive service, and very charming atmosphere!
Amazing seafood. A must stop of your in Alexandria, VA.
Pricey but excellent food and service.
The What's is a medium-size restaurant in a historical setting. The food and service were very good.
Food was delicious
Good food! We waited awhile for the food, due to late brunch hours, until 4 p.m., on Sat and Sun. However the Crab Imperial and New England Clam Chowder was delicious. The stroll around Old Town, Alexandria, falltastic!
Staff spraying air room spray excessively in restroom next to our table!! Veggies were too garlicky!! Waitress was informative to an extent. Asked to have our candle lit on table and water guy just joklinglily didn't light it. Not t impressed. Expensive!
Went for lunch during restaurant week. Food was good and atmosphere was nice if a little dark. Server was a little slow though.
Beautiful old-town restaurant with exceptional food and attentive staff. As a Marylander - I highly recommend the Crab cake as an appetizer. Nice variety of main dishes that were considered top quality by the dinner party.
My mom and I had a heart time before my flight back. The mussels and fried seafood platter was great
Outstanding seafood. My favorite place in Old Town.
It's a nice atmosphere, wait staff pleasant but not knowledgable about menu. they were serving champagne and I asked her what champagne they were serving and she could not answer question, active confused and said it's just champagne.
Great seafood courteous staff wonderful ambiance
Great seafood and service
Had Saturday brunch at The Wharf in Old Town. Delicious! I had the Eggs Chesapeake and my partner had flounder stuffed with crab meat. The poached eggs in my dish were excellent! Sauce was terrific - great dish. My partner enjoyed the flounder. We went with a side salad, whose dressing was tasty. We also had mimosas, which we loved. Waiter was very professional (hard to find these days), timed the dishes perfectly. We’ll definitely return!
The food was amazing. Came during restaurant week in old Town, and they had a three course meal that really hit it out of the park. The seafood is fresh and well prepared, and the raspberry bread pudding was awesome! Decor very rustic, really set a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend
The restaurant is beautiful inside. The staff was very nice. Great location! Our entrees were delicious. I would love to give 5 stats, however the appetizer was burnt and bland. I would come back and get a different one.
Service was friendly, very chatty waiter. Paid $22 for a jumbo soft shell crab, flavor was decent but it was smaller than expected. Other entrees also had small portions. The fried shrimp was very very good.
Awesome spot to visit during restaurant week. The shrimp fritters are so good... And yummy crab cakes
Nice place nestled another restaurants, shops and boutiques on lower King Street in Old Town, Alexandria. Had dinner at the bar during restaurant week. Fabulous crab cakes, great value, bartender Nick did it all. Cozy atmosphere topped it all. Highly recommended.
The Wharf was cozy and quaint. Plus it is always nice to wander around Alexandria. The staff was exceptional and our waitress was adorable. The food was delicious. I had the signature crab cakes. I highly recommend this resturant.
Fantastic food and impeccable service.
Nice service. Delicious food.
Every time we visit old town Alexandria VA we make it a point to go there.
This restaurant has very good food and drinks. Not a big seafood person, but the Salmon salad was great. The party I was with loved the oysters and mussels.
Food was amazing.
Wonderful, food, service and atmosphere! Really enjoyed this eating experience! The rockfish was delicious!
This is the best place in Alexandria to eat seafood, lobster linguini is my favorite, she crab soup excellent and crab cakes. The food is always cooked to perfection and they have the best Mango Martini. Always have a great dinner experience They also can create a private room for special events...we have lunch for my daughters wedding and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended...never a disappointment.
Fantastic meal. Enjoyed everything. Food served hot, seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend!
This place is top in class with friendly hosts and good service. They are friendly, and were very helpful in accommodating multiple food allergies.
Nice atmosphere...not good food. Fish and chips were virtually all breading with very little fish. The scallop dish was underwhelming.
Food was good service wasnt the best but management comped dessert & cocktails
Fantastic restaurant with great food and a prime location. Prices are a bit high but I didn't feel I over paid at all.
Great place to eat! It was a little pricey, but overall the food was very good!
Amazing food, was fresh and tasty. Service was great and for a sit down restaurant the food came out fairly fast.
Great...super service..and the food incredible..try the Rock point fish..any style..are deliciuos..ask for Teo great...
Very good spot for a relaxing afternoon. Service is good and food was very tasty. The crab cream with sherry was phenomenal.
Fried soft shell crabs was not good but restaurant is nice
Great service. Went with party of 16. Staff was accommodating and attentive.
Some of the best seafood I have ever had! Staff was wonderful
Very slow service. The food was just okay but the staff were nice! Sitting outside was more enjoyable than expected considering the restaurant is right on King Street
Rockfish on leaks great flavor and the ambiance and service is great.
Service was good. Food was exceptional. Desert was also exceptional. Warehouse ambiance was nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
Had the maryland seafood chowder and au gratin scallops and shrimp. Yum!
This beautiful restaurant that overlooks the Potomac river was the scene of one of the most important and significant Time in my life
To say that we had an awful dining experience at The Wharf in Alexandria this past Saturday would be a mild understatement. It was a party of 10 and we made our 6.15pm reservation on the OpenTable. We were seated at 6.30pm at the upstairs dining room. Our waitress took our drink order and 1/2 hour later we finally got our drinks. My peach sangria was a glass full of ice with a splash of an actual beverage. It was so watered down, it was barely pink. Appetizers did not come out until 7.45pm. She Crab soup was lukewarm. We asked the waitress to take it back and microwave it. We were excited about the oysters, but noticed that some of them had a foul odor and did not finish them. Our entree's did not start coming out until 8.45pm. We only got seven of them out of ten and some of them were cold. Remaining three came out 1/2 hour later. Our kids were splitting a steak. They only got half of the steak for two of them to share because: "another half was dropped on the floor and they had to cook a whole new one". Second half of the steak came out at 9.30pm. At that point one of our sons was crying because he was hungry, tired and wanted to go home. Despite of the fact that several entrees were sent back untouched, the restaurant manager did not come out until we asked to speak to him. He was mildly apologetic. Offered to give us The Wharf gift card. We refused. He then agreed to take 50% off from the price of our meal (not including the alcohol). Our total bill, after the discount, was still $508. We left a tip for our waitress, because watching her struggle was as agonizing as the meal itself. End result: we paid $60 per person for what probably was the absolute worst meal we ever had. Needless to say, we will never be coming back to The Wharf.
Cozy, casual with a little upscale attitude. Great service. Pricey but worth it.
Delicious food and service.
The food is delicious. The service is wonderful. The atmosphere is cozy.
Great food, great service, fair prices for the location.
Fantastic food and service.
Awesome staff, great food!! If you want a delicious meal, dine here. You won't be sorry!!
Very good seafood. The flounder, vegetables and mashed potatoes were cooked to perfection. Green beans were crunchy. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and moist. The resturant is located in a historic warehouse (gun powder), at the wharf of historic downtown Alexandria.
Loved the quaintness of this ancient building. We had late lunch. We both had luncheon lump crab sandwiches with French fries. We also ordered coffee slaw a la carte. Husband had local craft beer called Wharf Ale. Excellent, but should be for $9 a glass. Food was good but pricey.
Food delicious. Service needed work. I'm still not sure if waiter knew specials and options better than guest.
Seafood fine dining that is top notch.
Great food, minus the week old caesar salad, and great service. Will most likely go back again.
What can I say? The food is as special as the staff. I went for an outdoor lunch and had the rockfish. The sauce was served on the side, which was a good thing, because the fish was so heavenly I didn't want to add anything to it. However, the remoulade was so savory, that I used it with the fries. For me, the ambience is at least as important as the food, if not more so. The host was extremely pleasant and cheerful, and the server, Amaris was such a joy, I wanted to stay there forever. I can't impress upon anyone reading what a thoroughly enjoyable experience this was. I can't wait to go back.
Food was fantastic. The service top notch. The decor was very historic and not overdone.
Julie I'm the bar is very good at her trade
Atmosphere is old. Food is good but slow service.
The ambiance and entrée platings were outstanding! Their signature soup is to die for! Unfortunately, they seemed short on wait staff so we had difficulty getting the waiter's attention from start to finish. We needed to track down someone by foot to get the bill. The bathroom was extremely filthy as well with no toilet paper available and garbage littered across the floor. I would definitely come back for the food but the service was nothing to write home about.
The food made me extremely sick. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday. I ordered Maryland seafood chowder and The Triple Norfolk (crab, shrimp, lobster). Two hours after the meal I started feeling nauseous and for the next three hours I went through bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. After 2:00 am I have puked out the last of the crab, lobster, and shrimp concoction and have started to feel better. I follow one-meal-a-day approach and this was my first food consumption in 27 hours, so no question whatsoever what ingredients caused the symptoms. $56.00 for the order and a whole lot of misery later. Quality control was an issue that evening.
If you are looking for cheap this isn't a good idea. Food is delicious, service is nice, love the decor and atmosphere is cozy. Came on a Saturday night at around 8pm. We were seated right away and you could tell most of the patrons at the bar were regulars.
Always great. New floors. Nice people. Will keep going back. Have been for 30 years.
The crabcakes were delicious, and the service was phenomenal.
Birthday seafood dinner...very good!
The food was pretty good but overshadowed by our fairly rude, uninterested waiter. He didn't write down our order (table of eight) and of course, it came out wrong. We even asked if he was going to write it down and he said (without smiling or any personality) "I'll remember". He didn't. You'd think he'd be a little more interested in a table that was bringing a $400+ tab, but no. Waters went dry, bread baskets went empty, cocktails dried up, etc. We still tipped... but I really shouldn't have. My only complaint about the food was that the garlic mashed potatoes were a little cold, dry and not very garlic-y. It was not a pleasant accompaniment. We sat upstairs because of our large party and it wasn't anywhere near as charming as the lower level. The room has a 90s nautical theme that really needs to go. It'll be a while before I'd go there again because the surrounding restaurants are so alluring and I'd rather give them a shot after our poor service the other night which kind of overshadowed the mostly-great food.
Excellent food and service.
Great food, great service.
The staff are very nice and friendly. I had Kathy as a waitress and she was pretty cool. The food was definitely decent but I like my food nice and hot and felt it was kind of warm.
Nice, good service and enjoyed the food.
Love the setting and the food was tasty.
The most awful oysters we have ever eaten. Neither fresh nor cold. We’ve been sick. Fortunately, the management let us go without being charged. Being said, Professional service.
Saturday evening we with no reservations, but it was before 5 PM. The crab appetizer with fruit salsa set the tone for the meal. We ordered the plantation cocktail and the pomegranate margarita--yum. My husband wanted the linguine portofino and was not disappointed! My Norfolk trio was excellent too. Too bad we had no room for the dessert selection. The restaurant says fine dining so accept the price that goes with it. Will return again for the soft shell crab. Oh and there is outside dining available. It's just a couple of blocks from the river as well.
Great food and service. This was our best meal during our stay in Alexandria. It was a relaxed quiet atmosphere unlike many of the restaurants on King Street. All of our food and drinks were wonderful and we had a great time here. Our service made great conversation and tried to get to know us. Certainly recommend you check this place out on your visit.
Bad service and food was best described as "ehhh."
Historically we loved the Wharf. Our most recent trip was a bit of a departure from our past experience. It is like the chef team changed. The Wharf nailed all of the proteins in our meal but the sides we're off in taste or had a bit too much salt. I would go again but just during restaurant week for the lower prices.
This month as I was looking to take my family out to lunch, I was considering these few elements; elegant interior decor, comfortable seating, quality and presentation of food, and last but not least tasteful seafood recipes. Well, I must say The Wharf in Old Town Alexandria is the only place that offers such innovative cuisine! I personally enjoyed Lunch combination Lobster roll, She crab soup and Raspberry Cheesecake pastry...All three items met the standards for impeccable taste!
Triple Norfolk is delicious. Everything tastes fresh. Only slight negative is it's on pricey side ... but not unusual for seafood restaurants in Old Town.
Great seafood. Close to water. Give it a try. Good prices. Great service.
First time and it was wonderful! We'll be back
Great staff and wonderful food.
Wee went here with a medium size group of 7 people. When we entered there was a lot of staff waiting to greet us but the setup wasnt conducive to doing so quickly as one staff member was on the phone for a full minute which blocked the computer to confirm our reservation. Not a huge deal but we all had to stand awkwardly in a small space. It is one of those Old Town restaurants that was built in an old space not necessarily built for the needs of a large modern restaurant. Old beams and brick was the general feel. Staff was friendly though when placing my drink order off of their specialty drink list it took a fellow dinner at our table pointing at the item for it to be noted correctly. We had some appetizers which were alll quite good. And the main dishes were all more than enough food for everyone in the party. It was about going rate for the area for both food and drink. Nothing really blew me away about any item but it was a solid and filling meal. We also weren't rushed out the door after we paid the bill which was a plus you often don't get.
Great food and service was great. I highly recommend reservations are recommended.
Certainly a place worth visiting, the food is good and fresh, the prices are reasonable and it is consistently well kept in here. Keep it up.
My husband and I ate here on a Monday night and it was great. My husband really enjoyed the mussels and I loved my crab cakes. Our waiter was great and on point all night. I love a place that doesn’t just kick you out or rush you bc they are closing. I enjoyed it and I would go back. Plus I had parking right in front of the restaurant.
The food was delicious! Our waiter was very nice and helpful with my food concerns.
Great service & great food.
Decent crab cakes. Nice places overall, but nothing special
The atmosphere and food is incredible. And great bar tenders!
Best
The crab legs were awesome
Excellent service, good food, calm dark environment. Nice for catching up with friends and actual conversations.
Pricey but well worth it. I got the cashew chicken with an add on crab cake. One of the best crab cakes I've ever had. The service there is outstanding. I went with a group of friends and we all loved our meals. I highly recommend if you want seafood to try this place out.
The flavors of the she-crab soup were so intense. I loved the creaminess. I also got the Triple Crab plate and it was an immense amount of crab. Definitely recommend for a fancy seafood meal. The staff were very friendly.
Food and service were absolutely wonderful. Our server Nick was very kind and helpful. I had the veggie pasta and was very impressed - such incredible flavor. My mother had the horseradish breaded salmon and loved it. She said it came with the best spinach she has ever had. Serving sizes were great too. Will definitely revisit next time I'm in the area!
The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is always good. My favorite is the cioppino. Love the atmosphere too.
Service was great. The food was completely overpriced. The flounder with crab was tasteless. I ordered the mashed potatoes instead of the rice thinking they would be homemade atleast. They tasted and looked like instant. My husband ordered the shrimp, which came with cheap fries and they didn’t even include the coke slaw as the menu discribed. Almost $90 for 3 people which would have been ok if they food would have been worth it. Very disappointed. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Good food, fun place
Great customer service and food
The service was absolutely exceptional! The food was fantastic. The prices were surprisingly moderate. The portions were great. My wife and I ate lunch and had an excellent experience. We'll be back.
Great food and a great place.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Very nice employees.
I was celebrating my birthday weekend and was a perfect end to it. The neighborhood and decor is very nice. The selections of dishes is very good along with the service. I would definitely visit this establishment if I'm ever in the area again and I recommended it to friends.
I brought my wife here for her birthday because she loves seafood and this restaurant is highly rated and the area that it's located in has a great day night feel to it. The restaurant itself has a very romantic vibe to it so it's the perfect place for a date plus the food and service are spectacular! Our waitress was very engaged and helpful and she even got us some free soup for having to wait an extra 3 minutes for our entrees (which we didn't even notice). She brought us the crab soup and the Maryland seafood soup which my wife and I both agree are the 2 best soups we have ever had! My wife ordered the crabbcakes (I stole a hotel of course) and they were delectable with mostly crab meat and very little filler. I ordered the softshell crabs which were astounding and we're probably the largest softshell crabs I've ever had. We will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu. I wish I could remember the waitress' name because she really took the experience over the top!
My husband, two year old daughter, and I ate here for dinner and it was delicious! Also impressive to me was how quickly they brought out my daughter's meal, even ahead of our appetizer! Prioritizing her meal made ours 1000 times better because she wasn't hungry or whiny or needing to be entertained. Huge shout out to our waitress and the staff for making that happen. It felt like magic.
A perfectly cooked scallop is a beautiful thing, which is why I headed to The Wharf to treat myself to the bacon-wrapped scallops appetizer. They were opaque, tender and perfectly complemented by the bacon and maple soy glaze. Brenda, my delightful server, helped me choose an entree. I love flounder, but because it's such a delicate fish, it's often either boring or over spiced. The flounder Chesapeake I ordered had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overwhelm the taste of the fish and had an interesting little spicy kick to it. If you're on a budget, there are lots of good things to order that are less expensive and about what you'd expect to spend at a chain seafood restaurant. For excellent food and service in a historic setting, you can't go wrong.
This is our 7th time here. The food is just extraordinary. The chef is very talented. Thank you
Best seafood in Alexandria.
We visited the Wharf on a Friday night around 6. We were immediately impressed by the fast and friendly greeting and the cozy atmosphere. We sat upstairs and opted for a combination of the regular menu and the restaurant week menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious - the she crab soup and crab cake appetizer were literally two of the best we've ever had. Great flavor and the crab cake is perfectly prepared. We both had seafood pasta for dinner, which both had generous portions and good flavor. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back!
This is my third time going to this restaurant. The service is a 5 star rating but the food is only a 1. It was pretty gross. It tasted like butter without seasonings. It would have tasted better if they left the butter out. I won't return unless there is a family event in which they book the party room.
Just went there for brunch with family. Service was good but food very disgusting. Food was cold seemed to be warmed in the microwave. Could not eat it. Left the place upset as I could not eat the food. Straight out of hells kitchen. Shows how much they care. I hope the owner can fix that huge problem. It wasn't just me. We were a big group and most were really surprised at how much it costs for the quality of food.
Very good food and excellent service. Thanks Brenda.
Great food and great service! I highly recommend anyone to visit! Loved it!
In fairness, it might have been an off day, but both of these stars are for our server, who was friendly and professional throughout an otherwise poor lunch experience. My cocktail was tasty, but far too expensive for how unexceptional it was, and my girlfriend had a pisco sour that came out bitter, with yolk in it, and all the egg white sitting in a glob on the bottom. It was completely improperly made, and undrinkable. My shrimp cocktail was so over cooked that the shrimp were actually dry inside, and the cocktail sauce was from a jar. Her avocado with tuna poke featured slimy, oversweet, clearly-from-a-can fruit. Neither was particularly well presented, or at all enjoyable. Again, it might have been a fluke, but it’ll be a long time before we return to find out.
Exceptional service; I don't think I've ever had more unprompted bread and water refills in my entire life. Food was excellent, staff were pleasant, and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend!
They have very good service and atmosphere, but my BBQ Salmon Sandwich was not amazing. I didn't like the texture of the bread, the salmon was not impressive and the pickle didn't look good. I was very disappointed. My husband was also disappointed with the salad he ordered. Sad experience :(
Great place for lunch. Fantastic menu. Eclectic, delicious, and fair price.
Great food in an elegant setting. I went with my family to celebrate a birthday. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. The prices were reasonable. The food was prepared and presented in a most pleasing manner. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Great low key place
This was a pleasant surprise! Came here around noon on Memorial Day. I didn't have super high hopes because the place seemed a bit empty, but perhaps because many museums in Alexandria are closed on Mondays, so not as much foot traffic.I ordered the Bloody Mary, which came with shrimp, bacon, & celery garnishes, but it was meh.
Amazing!! I was with a large party and everyone was pleased. Andrea, our Server, was excellent!
We had a great experience. Wednesday night, after 8pm. Made a reservation but it wasn't needed. Drinks were good. Food was hot and very tasty.
Excellent experience! Branzino was the highlight: perfectly cooked, maintaining the delicate flavor and tender texture of the fish. The hefty crab cakes, tangy tuna poke with avocado, and finale of raspberry bread pudding were also quite tasty. Friendly staff and a charming atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
Food is delicious as usual and I enjoyed the water front while eating my dinner. Friendly and excellent customer service. Will be back again if I head that way and will recommend.
Cool open atmosphere, artsy and modern.
Went to the restaurant with a large group from church. Ordered a coke w/ lemon. While sipping my coke, I noticed two sticks in my drink. When I took one out, it was a burnt match “what the what”. I brought it to the waitress’s attention. She told me it was a match, took my glass, walked off with no apology, never returned and ignored me. I asked 30 mins later why she had not brought me another drink and asked if she told management that I was given a drink with burnt matches and that my experience would be posted on social media. Her reply "I'm here trying to serve 39 people, very busy and have not mentioned it but I will, then walked away”. Stunned, shortly after I left the table to find the manager. His name was Nick who apologized to me and comp my meal. That was fine but I was totally disgusted at the thought of me drinking soda with brunt matches in the glass. Later in the evening the waitress returned (1 hour) with an apology laced with excuses about how it happened. She was the one who put the matches in my drink after lighting the candles on the table. She didn't realize what she had done until I said something. This is probably why she had not told mgmt. because she was the culprit. Needless to say, I will never eat at this place again. Not only was I treated badly, the waitress needs training on how to handle customer situations and the thought of me possibly swallowing a match is sickening and unhealthy. Goodbye Wharf... I'm never returning.
Good restaurant in a renovated historic building.
Great food and great service. The staff is friendly and the kitchen is quick. Quantity of food is a good at the quality. It is pricey but you don't mind because it is worth it.
The Wharf, in Alexandria, VA is a fine restaurant in a building that is most probably around 300 years old. The crab bisque was quite good with an ample amount of lump crab. The flavor was delicious. It was almost too thick! The salmon stuffed with crab was very mildly flavored. It was excellent and a good portion size. It was served with the best broccoli and cauliflower I have ever had. The bread was a warm, crusty, beautifully browned loaf. The coffee was great and I took a bite of my friends chocolate mousse, which was divine.
A solid visit with out of town guests from the Midwest. We stopped by in the afternoon to book a reservation for the evening. Not only did we get a reservation they toured us through the restaurant to find the right table. Our waitress was courteous and professional along with the rest of the staff. The food was flavorful and beautifully plated. There are alot of options in Old Town but the food and staff set this restaurant apart from other seafood restaurants.
Fun spot but my seafood platter was pretty dar over cooked.
Stopped for lunch, and enjoyed it. Service was friendly and professional, food came quickly, which is an absolute must at lunchtime. We had Maryland seafood chowder: Tasty and healthy, and oyster po' boys, which were not as healthy but very good. The price was right for eating on King Street. Will definitely go there again.
Great food and solid service. Great patio outside as well (although it’s a bit small).
I loved the ambiance of the wood and the professional staff. They were dressed in black slacks and white collared shirts. Everyone was pleasant and helpful even if they weren't your waiter/waitress. This was my first time going and was attracted by the Branzino on post on the menu and outdoor seating. The fish did not fail...grilled and seasoned to perfection with fingerling potatoes, tomatoes, olives and onions, truly divine. My hubby got the scallop po' boy and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly on the soft grilled bread...never seen scallop po'boy on a seafood menu! He also got a drink called "The "Godfather which he says was a nice balance of Amaretto and Scotch with a splash of ginger ale. We got the chocolate pecan pie to go accompanied by ice cream but ended up sampling it and almost finishing it before we left. I want to go back and try the shrimp and scallop au gratin and other good looking dishes I saw on other people's tables!
This is a fantastic restaurant in a great location of Old Town. The server was attentive and did an excellent job. The manager checked on us a couple times to ensure everything was going well. Everything we ordered tasted great!
This place is excellent, in all honesty. The wife and I shared our appetizers, she crab soup and the bacon wrapped scallops. Both were perfection on a plate. Never had better. The main meals were also great. I had the trio Norfolk style, the trio was lump crab, lobster, and shrimp. These were cooked to perfection also. It came with mashed potatoes and savory green beans. My wife had the the Lump crab cakes for her main course. I sampled some of it and it was the best crab cake I have ever eaten. It was served with mashed potatoes and savory green beans. They had a great selection of deserts, but we were to full from the other courses to eat a dessert. The Wait staff were very friendly and got us our meals as soon as possible. I want to make two recommendations, the first is make reservations this place is so good everyone wants to eat there. The other is try to take public transportation or an Uber or cab. Parking is tough on the street, and they don't have a parking lot or garage. So enjoy your your meal and have fun.
