Awesome venue! Incredibly spacious with several different areas each with a their own music to accommodate your partying needs. Staff is fast and friendly. I had the luxury of going one night they were holding contests which were hilarious and entertaining. I would highly recommend you make a fly-by of The Eagles Nest.

When George Strait sang about “Murder on Music Row” he must have been talking about The Eagle’s Neat...Worst country bar I have ever been to. I was visiting the area and wanted to go out have cold beers and listen to country music...the DJ re-mixed every song into a club/dance type of song....which took the essence of country out of every song. Only thing the DJ cared about was line dancing. I felt like I was in a club and not a country bar. If you love country music do not go here.

First time visiting. No matter the age ALL IDs were checked at the door up entry. There were 3 areas to choose from with 3 different DJs all playing a wide range of genre's. One area had a band, which was good. The friend I went with said they usually have two bands playing. This night they only had one band. Plenty of bars to choose from in which to order drinks. The crowd was very diverse and seemed to be having a good time. There was a mechanical bull. Plenty of people were enjoying the challenge to ride it. The operator was very aware and courtious of each and every rider, weather they be young or old, male or female. Not much interaction with the staff. The staff member at the door was very kind in asking for my ID. Towards the end of my visit the one wait staff seemed courtious and friendly also.

The eagle's nest is always a fun place to hang out. The beer is decently priced. The food is good. The bartenders and servers I've always been good to me. I like to go in with my wife and people watch. We usually start on the line dancing side. It is fun to watch all the different people. By the end of the night, we usually end up watching whatever band is out there. Music has been good most of the time. We are usually there on Friday nights. By late night, it is very busy in there. The middle bar is pretty fun to dance at if you were into that.

Sat out on the patio on a Tuesday evening. Not a lot of people there but I got to watch two of the wait staff ignore our table for 25 minutes. Ended up just going inside and ordering from the bar, the bartender was really nice at least.

The drinks were good, not too pricey. They DJ was okay, not top 40 or hip hop—but the crowd seemed to enjoy it so this was okay. The crowd varied from 18 to almost 60. Pretty good mix of people. As far as the staff are concerned, not many bartenders but the few that I did see were pleasant. There is a mechanical bull here, missing a couple of pieces but still a little fun to ride if you can stay on by the grip of your legs and holding on to two holes in the top. Lastly, everything seemed to be fine until towards the end of the night when the “good ole boys” showed themselves. The “security” for this establishment need a lot of training and potentially self building workshops. If you are anything but Caucasian you will be singled out and watched the entire time. Unfortunate to say, the security (only wearing white tee’s) treat this establishment as a whites only venue when it comes down to it. There was a perceived incident and I watched the whole thing unfold. I watched as the “security” stood outside and tried to unprofessionally square up with people. It was awful. This was the first time I had been to this venue and my last. I had no idea there was even a night time bar in Chesapeake. Free to get in, but save your gas—I’m sure your time will be spent in a better place.

I went here once for midget wrestling. I think they have music and events here often, so it's probably worth checking out their calendar for more stuff to do. There appears to be an outdoor seating/bar area which might be a lot of fun in warmer months. The food is actually pretty good. We got fried pickles, pizza and sandwiches. All surprisingly good considering the location and appearance. The beer was actually very cheap and didn't end up spending much money while here. Super cool waitress. The atmosphere was rowdy and fun that night. It is probably a good place to go in large groups where you can hang out and be loud. To me, it doesn't have a "country" vibe but more of a I-live-in-a-subdivision-and-drive-a-pickup-and-listen-to-country-therefore-I'm-country vibe. The "Rockin" part in the name fits well.

Doesnt matter what season it is. My friends and I always have a good time. We go there alot for sunday football. You can join a squares game for the radio station "the Eagle" and win prizes. Sometimes you win cash!!! It makes it fun watching the games. Youll have to check out the eagles nest website to learn more about the game. The drink/ food specials are always nice too. We love the wings. They have 2 bars inside and 1 outside. You can play cornhole outside too. This place is a go to spot for locals and visiting guest. The staff is great. Some nights they have live bands and awesome djs.

Prefered this smaller setting than the Ryman Auditorium or Grand Ole Opery where they play in Nashville. Also great to see local talent being brought back into the area - lead guitarist is from Norfolk (Maury HS & ODU grad).

The last FUN club left in the 757. Truly mixed crowd allows you to interact with people from all over the area. The DJ accommodates the entire crowd blending music genres like a pro. Watch as the crowd goes from twerking, to pop locking, to a full on line dance in a matter of minutes. Cool spot!

This place is a nightmare. I only visited twice and will not be going back. The first night I visited an ambulance was parked outside because a woman was drugged and injured herself passing out at the bar. Watch your drinks ladies. This place caters to violent men more than you. Also, a bartender approached me to threaten me because she and I had a personal falling out. I told management directly. I told another bartender. She came back and harassed us both. Management did nothing. I was afraid to leave the bar by myself knowing this girl's criminal past and knowing women are being drugged at that place. One security guy refused to walk me to my car. After spending so much of my hard earned money at that place for a mechanical bull ride, a single drink, and wings that seem to be priced by the drumstick, you'd think staff would care about my personal well being. I overheard the management tell the one waitress who bothered to help me that they don't have time for 'just one customer'. He also seemed unnecessarily patronizing to the woman who was helping me. These mothers are not paid enough by this establishment. They survive off tips and their hourly wages are pathetic. No wonder their establishment attracts criminals like my thieving ex roommate. If you're a dishonest businesses, you'll weed out the workers with good moral character and be left with only the ones who care as little as you do. Care more about protecting the women who enter your space. Pay your workers more. Don't hire criminals or keep them on when they harass customers. Make sure your staff do their jobs. I don't like bars at the best of times, but this one is especially bad. Edit: for what I experienced at your bar, your response is inadequate at best. Anyone can talk themselves up, but your actions speak volumes more to me than your words do. This is a fair review for the way I was treated, the things I witnessed, and the way I wasnt believed when I came to you for help. I won't be going back here because unlike your business, I have standards.

I had the lunch AYCE pizza buffet. The pizza is NY style with several options with everything from basic cheese and/or pepperoni to hawaiian, meat lovers, and everything in it. You get what you pay for ($6.99). Not to mention the stop and pasta with 2 different sauces. It looks like a bar in the daylight (because it is) but eats like a good deal.

It's a good time but it needs more. There is something that it is missing. Maybe open the outside up to karaoke. Give people more to do then look at each other. Granted they have some cornhole outside but you have to sit out there with the smokers and kill yourself to play. We always switch between room to break it up a bit, which is nice. Could be cause we are from the city that it seemed really casual for a night club. Drinks were good.

They have three sections to the club. They had a country band in one section, a DJ playing Black style of music, and the last section was a covered out door with a band playing heavy metal. Did change section several times. Didn't try any food or drink while I was there, maybe next time. Do watch the floor as people do spill their drinks often on the floor.

I have been coming here for a bit. Last time I went. I brought my friend that was not from this country and was trying to get adjusted to our way of things. She got pulled out, because security have been watching her. And said she was too drunk and pulled her out. Therr are a lot more that were way drunk. They said she was a liability. One of the things they said was because she was hanging on to one of our other friends, she was just trying not to get lost. She could barely speak English. She feels that there is some kind of discrimination. Myron, one of the bouncers was understanding. One of us talked to the manager and told us she was a liability. What about all the other guys or girls stumbling? This time around we were not happy with how they treated the situation. She didnt understand why she was getting pulled out of the club, she thinks she was discriminated. Others from other countries move differently from Americans. All I'm saying, is that they need to start watching people that need to be watched.

I come here about once a week. Normally there is good customer service but the security is rude and salty. I walked out just outside the gate to make a phone call and the guards saw me. I tried to walk back in and they told me to go and pay for entry again when I was just inside. They said I could come in for free and they changed their minds. Bad coordination and communication on their part. Their prices are already not good. Same thing happened to my friends. The bartenders are great, but terrible bouncers. I've seen better. Best of luck with your experience.

We went here for my friends 21st! We had such a great time! Being that we are 2 females I loved how much security there was. Bartenders are kind and patient even though they were so busy! I definitely will be coming back and bringing all of my out of town friends here :) we all love lines dancing and that was my favorite part!

Customer service was great. Caitlyn is a great conversationalist and very personable, always checking and making sure your experience is positive. Welcoming and upbeat atmosphere, clearly a country music themed bar. The food was above average bar food in speaking of quality, slightly greasy though. Cleanliness was slightly out of touch with very noticeable dust on the tv's hanging over the food at the bar, however this was my only concern with cleanliness. Service was prompt and on point with my requests. I had my order in less than ten minutes. Overall, with a few touch-ups, definitely a bar worth revisiting.

Hadn't been out in awhile, and Eagles Nest *Did NOT* Disappoint, in Any Way, shape or form!! Great set-up with different areas to suit ANY mood, from line-dancing and bull riding to Sexy beats in da middle to top 80's-90's outside and Cornhole... Something for everybody there and EVERYBody was having a Great time! Staff was on point from security to Servers and the bar was fast... Absolutely Great time!!!

It was my best friends birthday tonight.. we had at great time until she was feeling sick. I was taking care of her in the bathroom until the security guards came into the bathroom pulled her by her hair and dragged her from the bathroom, then threw her out into the street... in the pouring rain. FOR NO REASON. We felt VIOLATED AS A WOMEN. This situation could of been handle way better... more professional. All you had to do was ask for her to leave respectfully..... and we would have just left. ON TOP OF THAT HER DRINK WAS DEFINITELY SPIKED WITH SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN ALCOHOL... This is my go to bar to hang out and be a part of a “neighborhood” bar. They recently revamped their menu; my new favorite is the Shrimp Po’ Boy Tacos! Cooked perfectly! I just read some of the post questioning whether it’s a country bar. I dance Country Two-Step. Each time I visit I’m able to dance the Two-Step. If there’s a song you want to dance to, ask to have it played.

Venue with three different rooms of new music and themes which was a neat feature. Wasn’t too impressed with all of the choreographed songs with dance that played over and over for the people who attend the dance classes there.

I moved here from SC and this is hands down my favorite bar. it has three sections amd each caters to a different musical genre. the middle room is definitely my favorite as its the one that plays more dance music. if i could give a suggestion, it would be to switch the rooms that play country and damce music so there would be more room for people to dance as it gets quite crowded

Yikes. The security team, namely the door guards, are notorious for being below average. Not a safe location for you and your friends.
