Definitely not the best, but not the worst either. Plenty of seating inside. Daily buffet from 11:30 AM. Ordered takeaway recently, arrived at appointed time and was informed the kitchen hadn’t even started the order. Staff was a bit abrupt.

A classic ambience and upscale Indian restaurant. A very nice place to hang out, feels very spacious. We had a guy named Gustav help us and he explained with a lot of patience. We loved the drinks we ordered, by the bartender Fernando. He definitely knows what he is doing, trust him and go with his recommendation. Did you know the only awesome place that does karaoke in the DMV is TEZ? We have tried in Maryland and other places where it is done very causally. But the owners here take a lot of attention to karaoke events and we love it here. TEZ, please make more such karaoke and dancing events. We often end up going to DC and it is a long drive back home

MUST READ BEFORE EATING AT TEZ The food was great but the service was terrible. They messed up our orders twice and we ended up canceling an order because it had been over 40 minutes since we got the first part of our order. Large parties often lead to bad service here. We thought the food was okay though. Need to improve service dramatically. The description is also really fake and the restaurant is not good compared to what you think. Good reviews for this restaurant get coupons and discounts so don’t believe what some say. If you are willing to wait a long time (40 min or More) then go here. The menu is also very small and there is no variety in the dishes. Everything is full of oil and coloring and definitely unhealthy. Go if you want but there are much better places in the area.

We went there on Super Bowl, it was pretty crowded, the staff still managed although there was some delay. Delay was expected as we all came in at the same time for the game. Yummy appetizers and entrees, wonderful ambience, great concept. Definitely recommend.

Terrific choices of food (Biryani is lip smacking)..... awesome drinks (especially spicy mojito) .....and they've a great line up of different DJs every weekend.... Highly recommend this place .....oh and their Karaoke nights are fun..... am definitely not a singer but was great to see some very talented singers on stage

Worst food and disgrace to Indian food. Service was horrible and unacceptable. They just got into a very bad karma of ripping people off by charging $50 per person for bad food, too long wait, food that made us sick, over crowded (I am sure they violated the ordinance by having way more people than that place can handle). Fire Marshal and health departments should be notified. I was sick by their food on New Year's eve! Will never go back to this place. Okay owners, you may have ripped us and made money, what goes around comes around! Bad Karma. Shame on you to have belly dancers expose in front of kids! I wish there was a Zero to rate you! Don't go to this place!

We went there for our happy hour from our office which is on the other side of the Worldgate road. One of the best prices in the area for drinks and menu. The TEZ 65 chicken and gobi Manchurian is my favorite. Please start chaats for us. The space is huge, and was surprised to see so much crowd even during weekdays. We came back same weekend for dinner with my family and my family loved it. We spoke to the owner Sandeep and were helped by Maira. Very friendly owner and he has great plans on bringing more creativity to this place. Good luck to this place, there is a great positive vibe in the place, owner and staff. Keep going!

Went for buffet, they were serving traditional Raagi Balls (called Raagi Mudde). A huge crowd indeed and long lines. Worth the wait. Go early to avoid huge lines. An upscale place, nice bar area. The owners mentioned they will do Karaoke event also. Looking forward to it. A nice hang out place for families (not for just men like other bars). Wish they do some ladies night specials

I have never left a bad review before or even complained to a manager before (which I didn’t even have the opportunity to in this situation), but this was honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We arrived, the hostess was very nice when she seated us. We had already looked at the menu and decided what we wanted. Then the waiter took our order. 15 minutes later, he came back and told my boyfriend what he ordered was not available. He told the waiter the new order. 15 minutes later the food came out. We did not see the waiter again. He never came to check on us and was never even remotely near our section or table again. I ordered my food mild, it was definitely very spicy! Maybe it's just my taste buds, everyone is different. Or maybe the waiter put in the order wrong. I got an order of naan, it never came. After literally half an hour of sitting there when we finished eating and were trying to find the waiter, my boyfriend gave up and went to the front where luckily another waiter was. He was able to give us the receipt where we were still charged for the naan but he took it off when we told him it never arrived. Then he gave us the revised bill and the hostess came up to check on us, presumably because we looked unhappy. My boyfriend asked about the drink he ordered because he thought it was part of the happy hour menu but was charged full price. She told us no, sorry it's full price. Didn't even offer to give us the discounted happy hour price for beers ($2). We are not the type to look for handouts but at this point, it was ridiculous. So we gave her the credit card and she disappeared! She went behind the bar to where our waiter had reappeared. He is the one who finally brought the paid bill back. It was the first time he had seen us or come to our table in probably 45 minutes. He didn't even apologize! Needless to say, we will NEVER be going back (and we live in walking distance). This restaurant really needs to improve their customer service skills or it won't last long! Again, this is literally my first time ever having an experience like this in a restaurant. I never complain about restaurants or service but this was honestly so bad I just had to share in hopes that at least maybe the managers will see and try to make a change.

I wandered into TEZ looking for a place to watch the game and grab a bite to eat and I’m really glad I did. The food is fantastic and the staff and regulars are very warm and friendly. The wings and pepper chicken were delicious. I couldn’t stop eating!

Buffet was good. Lot of appetizers. Gobi manchurian and double ka meeta were great. Tea at the end of it completed the meal. Buffet had few options for vegetarian north Indian sabzis. Overall happy with the food.

Highly recommend. I often go with my sports friends and always have a great experience. Staff is courteous and guest friendly. Had an awesome experience with the live music. I also liked the menu items which go very well with the choices of drinks they offer.

This is a very unique bar setting with Indian food. It is SPICY for non spicy pallets so stress this to your server! We had to send one dish back because they put too many jalepenos on the fried rice, but they took it back no questions asked. the BUTTER CHICKEN is probably one of the BEST dishes here - get it with naan! The owner is very friendly and interacts with the patrons. Photos as of Feb 2019.

Nice Indian Fusion Place near worldgate. We tried tandoori chicken , chilly chicken. Tandoor chicken was really good , chilly chicken was average the chicken was a bit undercooked. Overall a really good place with seperate bar seating. Happy Hours are from 4 to 8 pm.

I visited this restaurant with family. It was a pleasant atmosphere for the family to spend the evening. The staff was friendly and pleasant. That is the first thing we expect when we go out with family. We ordered mostly veggie items and a butter chicken. Every item was very tasty. The quantity was also good. In fact we had to pack lot of food to take home. I ordered for spicy food. The spiciness was slightly more than expected. So next time I will order forcmedium spicy. The more interesting thing was, there was a karaoke night open to the customers. If you are a singer you will be given a chance to sing. They have high quality karaoke system. You will get great feeling of music that you can enjoy while eating. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They encourage and support the customers to sing. There were lot of Bollywood singers and some western English. This has become my favorite restaurant in first visit itself. It is like "Love at first sight". Great place for families. It is a unique place where you can enjoy music and food both. I will visit this place again and again.

We attended their karaoke event last Saturday for arijit special night. Wow! What a cool place and a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant is big, had a lot of people, yummy yummy appetizers, and loved their cocktails. The host who runs the karoake event is actually the owner’s wife and she kept he atmosphere lively, it was as if we went to some elite concert/event. Food is awesome, karoake nites are the best with great singers, ambience is pleasing! This is our new goto restaurant, please don’t stop your karoake nights, also please do some ladies’ special and DJ nites for younger crowd like us.

Excellent yummy appetizers, Happy hour prices are so reasonable. We work across from the street and have also tried their lunch buffet. We visited this place in January and there is soo much difference in management recently ina span of 2 months (there is a new owner by name Sandeep). Service is great, food taste is more consistent. Prices are apt. I also sang with my friends in one of their Karaoke events, was very lively and we thoroughly enjoyed. Sandeep, keep up your good work.

Super karoake fun event at TEZ, the owners have done a great job from when it was in December to where it is now in february. Food and ambience is great! A very buzzing place when they have karaoke events. Must visit when they have karaoke events. We went with a big group of our friends and stayed very late and continued singing for a long time. we will be back when they have the next karoake event.

So glad to have finally found a desi place in the area that is open till late, plays awesome Indian music, keeps Indian beer as well, serves excellent tikka and biryani. If you feel like grooving to some desi music especially on Friday evenings - you have DJ Wenky playing his great collection of bollywood dance music - definitely kept us on the dance floor !

This place seemed good.. with great interior and good space. I visited it for a lunch buffet on weekday. Menu was interesting but personally I did not like most of the items. Taste and quality was Ok! There are plenty of Indian restaurants within a mile or two which has much better taste and food quality. Definitely there is a scope and need of improvement being a fairly new place around. 3 stars for good interior featuring posters of great cricket legends, spaciousness, ok food, and a scope of improvement.

Pathetic service and worst food of the century for New year Eve 2018 party.people waiting for 45 minutes for the apatizer but no food available ..instead fooling people by showing belly dance ...desrt is dead cold ...New restaurant organizing first new year eve party should be careful to attract customers for next time but seems like owners knew noone gonna come next year because of the service he provided..thats why they never cared about food ...can you beleive indian party and no naan .i mean bread ...this was definitely worst party in herndon area ...i had to give 1 star as there was not a zero star available.. Just two vegetarian curry and that also worst taste...man ...waste your money by going there for any party..

A must!!!! I have been going to TEZ for a few months now. Love the ambiance, food is delicious, their karaoke nights are a blast. We recently catered food from here for my daughter’s birthday, which everyone loved. After the party, we went to TEZ just to have a good time and hit the dance floor. It was AMAZING!!!! DJ played some really good numbers and kept us going until 2:30am. Kudos to Sandeep and his crew for doing a fantastic job!!! Highly recommend this place

We hosted a thread ceremony party at TEZ and absolutely loved it! The cook did an excellent job on the food; all my guest were satisfied! The waiters were very polite and respectful. The service was excellent did not have any issue at all. The DJ was great he had everyone dancing till the end of my party! Very reasonable price for the amount of service we got. I definitely recommend TEZ!

I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I feel like having a fair lunchon, this restaurant comes immediately to my head. splendid and diverse food and a rich cuisine.well mannered staff, and pleasant ambience. I went to the buffet at around 12.30pm. I honestly was amazed by how good the food was and also the selection. Not only that but they also had deserts. The buffet was $12 all you can eat. This is definitely one of the best Indian restaurant so far.

I understand this is a good concept of DJ but after all its a restaurant and not disco club. Told server to slow down the volume as its too loud but they didn’t listen. Finally we have Indo-American sports bar in Herndon. It opened three days ago and I already had two visits, one happy hour and a lunch with Family, great ambiance and amazing food. For $9.99 buffet is a steal.

It's your average Indian restaurant in the states. There is nothing American about it (not sure why there is American in the restaurant name), it's all Indian food and the buffet has decent items in quantity. The veg dishes have more flavor then meat dishes. The desserts are a hit or miss. Parking is recommended to go for the basement parking garage.
