I was here about a week ago. I’m pregnant and extremely picky about where I eat when I go out. The food area and tables were clean. I didn’t use the restroom. Most of the food was hot and fresh, some weren’t but they were switching things out after I got my first plate. The price is great for the quality. Would definitely go back.

Tons of choices. Hibachi grill is great. They even have Steak that they GRILL OVER FLAMES! They're cut thin, so I have them only cook for several minutes. Lots of desserts also.

Like any other buffet, go for the stuff that's replaced often. They have tasty food but the stuff that sits more than 30 mins without getting touched is most likely the grossest option. The hibachi grill is not bad, but the line gets ridiculous. If its empty, go for it. The deserts aren't bad and they usually add a new one to the list every year for variety. If your dead set on sushi, you have 2 options. 1. Wait for a fresh roll; the ones on display have most likely been out for at least an hour. 2. Go to an actual sushi buffet. The serving staff are genuinely nice. Most of them have no problems refilling drinks and keeping your table clean while managing multiple tables. So far not a single server was rude to me. They also keep the dining areas clean for customers at all times. In between refills and plate pickups you will definitely see your servers sweeping constantly and organizing tables for more guests even if they aren't serving those tables. I actually admire the staff's teamwork.

The food was tasty but if the amount on buffet was low and you question when it will be refreshed...none of the kitchen servers speak English. Our waitress, Ebony was very attentive to our needs, even suggesting to go cups to leave withour drinks.

I had the worst stomach cramps after eating here! I know eating all-you-can-eat can cause stomach issues. But I normally have a pretty strong stomach and eat at other restaurants with no problem. After eating here I couldn't leave my bathroom for 45min. The food wasn't worth the pain either. 90% is fried stuff. The star is for the service ,which was fantastic.

Meh. This place is hit or miss. It is usually ok at lunch but, by dinner, everything just tastes "worn out". If WaWa ever opens a hibachi line it will tremble this one; uninspired.

DO NOT GO HERE outside of lunch. They close at 10 I went at 7:15. The place was kind of empty so I specifically asked the cashier if the buffet was fresh and hot. It was not. Appeared that all the food was left over from lunch. I did not complain because the staff tends to be very argumentative. I just finished my meal with the kids and politely left. I will not be going back

Good food. Went on Wednesday for dinner. Price was 11.99. Not including drink. Hibachi was very good. My son got fries and they were cold. That's why only 4 stars. Otherwise pretty good food. I would eat there again when in Norfolk.

Found this place in my recommendations on places to go here in maps, and I was not disappointed. The service was amazing and the people were friendly, and the food was amazing. It had to be the cleanest buffet I've been to here in Hampton Roads. Compared to others in the area, it's amazing. The food trays were kept stocked, clean, and constantly checked over by staff. The restrooms were clean as was the dining area. It was all around an amazing experience.

I had Hope's considering the stars... but No... just no. For starters you prepay and pre tip. Hence we had the worst service ever. Plates and glasses stacked up at the table. The sushi looked old and I was scared to touch it. Very slow line at the hibachi, which was dirty and rice flying everywhere. The chicken on a stick had a glaze on it (never had this before)... the food looked old, tasted old, cold..... never again. No wonder you prepay or we wouldn't have stayed...

Tappanyaki is only *okay* in my opinion. In terms of other Asian buffets in the area, I consider this one to be marginal as far as buffets go. The delectable lusciousness in terms of the various dishes offered just isn't there. You'll find some American food on the buffet, yes - but the other options just aren't worthy of raving about. The tables and chairs tend to need better cleaning. The service isn't always the best. The condiments seriously need upgrading. Hot mustard in packets? Hot sauce in packets? Definitely not what you would expect. But that's what you get. Go if you are hungry and want a buffet. It will fill the tummy. If you are more interested in a buffet with tons of succulent food and a far better atmosphere, go elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.

They need new hibachi cook...he burns the garlic....the eggs were not mixed with veggies....just slabs of rubber..yes he cooked those eggs with the same timing as the meat....yuck...most of the garlic was burned to grill....unreal...try Mongolian barbecue on Military.

Watered down soup, underseasoned seafood aswell as noodles. The only thing worth 5 stars here was the man running their sushi bard. And he did a damn good job. Service was all but non existent. Multiple tables looking for a waiter/waitress and no one in sight. Cannot recommend this to anyone. Only getting a tip is the sushi guy, good work dude.

Nothing taste good here!! Food is dry, even something as simple as noodles taste like crud! Floors are sticky, staff cleans floor with horrible smelling cleaner while we were eating. Horrible that they make you pay almost $11 for cardboard food!

Teppanyaki is a decent place if you are looking for Asian cuisine buffet style. The quality has gone down since they first opened up, but it is not to the point that I would not go there. The only thing I will never get again is the sushi. It used to be high quality, but now it is by far the worst sushi I've ever had. It falls apart, the cooked sushi is always ice cold, the wasabi is like soup. But the hot food generally turns out good.

The service was a lot better today, last visit they were short-handed and it really showed. A decent buffet for the price

Just left for dinner. Only $10.99 which is a great price point. Drinks are a little pricey. Buffet looked cleaned and the food came out timely. The saucy chicken dishes were rather sweet (i.e. honey chicken, sesame chicken). I enjoyed the sushi. Overall it's a decent buffet on a budget. You get a lot for your buck!

When we first entered, an unpleasant odor hits us. The carpet in the dining area is sticky and we determined that's where the smell was coming from. This competes with the good food smells. But they did have a variety of food choices and the area was very spacious.

I was a lot disappointed. I understand that we there after 900.... 905 to be exact and they close at 10; but, i also expect customer service to the last minute. We even left before 10. The food was all cold....workers were cleaning up as we ate. The waitress was no where to be found and when found was no help for real. Worst experience after spending 45 dollars for my family. The customer service is on point but the food here is a definite pass for me. We went at 7:00 on a Thursday which might be why, but most of the food was lukewarm at best. The atmosphere is dingy and cheap but the waiters and waitresses seem to actually care about you.

I got there early and the food was fresh and amazing. My ONLY criticism is that you place your drink order when you first arrive. And then it's brought to your table later. Which took quite a long time. Wish I could just get my own drink, because we were halfway done eating before we go them. Then again everything else was so good that I think maybe it was just a one-time fluke. Don't know. But the food is great.

This was my favorite place to come and eat their hibachi until today. As I was waiting for the cook to make my food a huge cockroach came from behind the grill and crawled down to the floor. I can’t happen to feel there are more and they are crawling around the food. Very gross and very disappointed

For the price, it isn't so bad. The sushi isn't the greatest but it isn't the worst. The hibachi grill is also a wise choice. Salt and pepper shrimp is overcooked! The raw oysters taste like they were harvested in a toxic waste dump! There shrimp cocktail isn't at all bad. Some items are decent,some not so much. They run heavy on chicken dishes. If you like all you can eat buffets, it isn't the best, but you could do worse. Like so many things in life, you get what you pay for.

Friendly, welcoming service from the door to the exit. The cuisine is both diverse and delectable! The highlight is the hibachi bar. Dishes are made to order and to taste. The sushi is expertly prepared and delicious. Buffet-style dining at its best! Will definitely repeat visit.

One of my very favorite places. I am a senior and do not eat large meals. This buffet allows me to purchase smaller amounts and pay by weight. It really saves me money. Their soups are just awesome. I especially love the Miso Soup. Staff is so nice.

Not happy that waiters took my merchant receipt when I went to get food , waiting to see if she wrote in her own tip , I thought my hubby took care of it but nope so I'm waiting to see what bank shows. Watch your receipts people I think there trying to tip themselves , I know I'll be disputing entire charge and going to the police dept to file fraud if she helped herself to another tip

For a Chinese buffet, they have decent quality food. I expect a buffet to be sub par relative to a place that serves entrees etc. This place though really is pretty good for the price. The general tsaos could use more of a kick, and the bourbon is a bit weak but the sweet and sour is spot on, the sesame is good, and the flavor of the general tsaos was good even if it was missing the kick I like in the Chinese restaurant variation of it.
