To this day this firm has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and this score was based on 2480 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is practically the top, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the evaluation is quite faithful. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Family restaurant.
First time here. Very nice nd busy place, all the servers are pretty friendly and attentive. Decor is retro style and themed. Food came within a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. I took the waitresses recommendation and tried the steak burrito, it was delicious. I will definitely return again the next time I'm in the area and highly recommend other who have not tried it to give it a go!
Our first visit here and it was a good one. We had brunch and the food was good. Not exceptional but good solid food at a reasonable price. The service was attentive and handled our special requests very well. It seemed like a reliable place to go for a quick bite.
Your average sort of diner experience. Average food at slightly expensive prices. Not a bad place but the crowds mislead how good it is. When I showed up it was a one hour wait. One hour? Not for this place. If there is no wait, sure, why not.
I'd been wanting to go for years and finally got around to it tonight. The service was a little slow and confused between two servers, but in general they were both very nice and took good care of us. I ordered breakfast, even at 10pm - French toast, eggs scrambled with cheese, hash browns, chicken sausage, and two tarts (s'mores and cinnamon brown sugar). Everything was excellent, though the hash browns were a little more burned than I would prefer. Got the chocolate cream pie to go. It's a mini pie, but really it's still 3 or so servings. It was OK, but I was stuffed and couldn't finish it (and by then it didn't taste all that great). I'd definitely recommend all of the breakfast foods, and the tarts (I had a millionaire bar, picked up from the bakery, on a previous stop and liked that also). Not so sure about the chocolate cream pie.
I took my dad and 14 year old nephew here on a spur of the moment trip to DC. So glad we came here! Everything is fresh, tastes how it's supposed to. Nothing tasted processed like you get at chain restaurants. Our server was super friendly without being fake and ambiance is a mix between a diner and upscale restaurant. Highly recommend to old and young alike!!!
We came during a very busy sunday morning despite that we were seated quicker than we thought which is good. The only problem we had was that our food took quite long to be served. We had to wait 50 mins for our food to come. There were people seated next to us who came after we did and they had already received or finished their food. Over the taste of the food was okay, would definitely still come back to give it another try.
Ted’s Bulletin is your average wannabe upscale diner. Had brunch/breakfast here and it’s decent food, but $16 for avocado toast? ...Hmmm...but try it anyways. Ask for a side of bacon, crumble it on top, and it’s pretty damn good. The portions are enormous, not sure how anyone can finish their dishes without taking some home. So that’s enough of the food review. Let’s move onto dessert. This is off the charts. It deserves 5 stars! The chocolate cake, order it, one for there, one to take home. You won’t regret it. Super moist, just the right amount of sweetness. Again, the portion is big. The slice of cake is worth it. If you’re going to take a slice home, put it in an airtight container to keep it moist and you can eat it for daaayys. Cake for breakfast, cake for lunch, cake for dinner. Cake cake cake cake. Mmmmmm.
The food is largely bigger proportions. Aka its a good price, but make sure you bring someone who can EAT! The adult shakes were
I loved the atmosphere and the food. Great service. It took sometime to serve the food. But it was worth waiting. Ordered the Nashville hot chicken burger, but it was not that spicy.
Good food in a 1930's art deco atmosphere. I love a good cinnamon bun and "Cinnamon roll as big as ya head" is legendary. I wish the coffee was better, next time I'll try a latte instead of the drip coffee.
This place is great. I really liked the atmosphere with the episodes of I love Lucy and the Andy Griffith show projected on the wall. The servers were really friendly and the food was tasty. I'd eat here again.
Excellent food and really fast service!
I bring my out-of-town guests here every chance I get. Never disappointed!
Decent food but I received a cocktail with two bugs floating in it! That ruined the whole experience so “Beware of the cocktails “.
I love the theme here. they have awesome good drinks and service. took my bff here for the first time
I dont guess the money you spend isn’t as good as what the workers expect to be paid with. Ordered online, picked up on a Sunday, the order was ready by the time I got there. Only to find out they were out of the cinnamon roll I ordered so we had to get pop tarts instead. Get home, seems they wanted to put their own order together for us instead of what we ordered. It’s not my job to check the orders, I dont work there. Period.
I've been here a couple of times and it's pretty consistently average. The service is slow (it took me three requests between two servers to get a drink last time), and the food is fine but bland. Easy place to go if you have kids, or want a decent breakfast, but not much else. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich last time and it was pretty bland, not much kick to it.
I’ve lived in dc for two years so I know this place as a dc staple. I called ahead and asked how long the wait was 1hr. Put my name down. When I arrived I was Asked if I could wait another 20 minutes for a table. We finally just gave up and sat at the counter. Waited 45 minutes to get our food. Ordered eggs, sausage and hashbrowns. Sausage was dry, no seasoning on anything. Easily the worst meal I have ever eaten. I feel like the tourists are the ones making this place because I wouldn’t eat this garbage if they paid me to.
Super cute and quaint diner that makes everything in-house and from scratch. The service was excellent and the homemade pop tarts are to die for!
Always a fun time with great food and even better mimosa
Nice space and atmosphere. Decent breakfast burrito. "Tarts" are alright, but not mind-blowing. $9.50 for a weak, relatively small mimosa is a disgrace.
Very good food. A bit pricey. Nice decor
Our other brunch plans fell through on a saturday, so we showed up here without reservations. It was about an hour wait, which was still incredibly fast compared to every other brunch place, and their pastry/cafe counter made it easy to wait & sip on coffee! The food is great and they've got a large selection to chose from, all of it reasonably priced. Our waiter was awesome - super nice and helpful, and despite it being a packed house he still came by very frequently to check on us! We will definitely be back again, with reservations this time!
Such an amazing gem inside of the DMV !! Loved this place so much I came 2 days in a row!! How do I order a case of Ted tarts I’m missing them now!!!!! Staff gave me some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life !!! Thanks !!!!
All I can say is fantastic. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Great for Sunday morning breakfast. Call in advance about an hour to get your name on the waitlist.
One of my favorites and a total go to when people are visiting. (the milkshakes have a lot to do with that.... But honestly everything is so great)
It was decent food nothing to write home to mom about and the prices are decent for DC. The service was great, and the cinnamon bun that is as big as your head was good!
Great food, great coffee juicy burger, classic breakfast foods, give it a look
First time here. Very nice nd busy place, all the servers are pretty friendly and attentive. Decor is retro style and themed. Food came within a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. I took the waitresses recommendation and tried the steak burrito, it was delicious. I will definitely return again the next time I'm in the area and highly recommend other who have not tried it to give it a go!
Amazing breakfast. Loved it here!
Very good service Very good food Only reason I'm dinging a star is because for a breakfast joint... It was pretty pricy $20+ per person But overall worth it! The Ted tart was a little too sweet for my taste (without milk) The french toast was probably one of the best I've had
Probably the WORST breakfast place in DC metro area. Everything was cold and only 1/5 dishes came correctly. Then the wait staff mocked us. NEVER AGAIN TED
This was my first visit. Was there for breakfast and it was delicious! I believe our server was Sammi and he was the best! Very attentive and friendly!
Amazing food and great service.
This place is a wonderful slice of the early 1900's! I felt like I took a step back in time when everything was made of worn wood and the many was packed with staples like eggs, bacon, fruit, etc, and warm and friendly staff. Had a solid meal and didn't feel bad about myself because the choices were reasonably healthy. Note that there are two locations in DC. I was meeting people and went to the wrong one by accident... And it's quite a drive between the two locations. Whilst I was at the wrong location I ordered coffee (surprisingly delicious) and cheese grits (delicious but this one did leave me feeling bad for a less healthy choice). In short, I love this place and would prioritize having breakfast here again.
Good food, but service needs improvement. Slow to greet and bring drinks, missed one of our meals, and we had to ask 3 times for things. Ted's tarts are a must. Good milkshake menu, too.
So good and worth the slight wait. Definitely recommend getting there early or asking for a place in the bar area. Their iced coffee is amazing!!
Awesome lunch and service today. We were easily able to find keto friendly options without substitutions...score!
Great food and service. We'd definitely go again when in the area.
This place is awesome and delicious!!! Great food. I ordered the chicken and biscuits for breakfast with a homemade s’mores pop tart. So so good. Not only did it have great food it has great atmosphere. Definitely a place I would go back to
Our first visit here and it was a good one. We had brunch and the food was good. Not exceptional but good solid food at a reasonable price. The service was attentive and handled our special requests very well. It seemed like a reliable place to go for a quick bite.
Nostalgic decor and great food/drinks.
Ted's is a busy place but worth the wait. I really appreciate that they have a bunch of cooks. It makes for fast food delivery. Everything I've had has been good.
Yum! Yum! Yum! Came here for brunch a couple weeks ago, ordered the house made "pop tart", the old bay bloody mary and the crab/eggs Benedict. It was all absolutely delightful. Service was great, although the wait for a table was long, we were able to find a spot in the bar. I highly recommend this place, especially to those who adore brunch!
We absolutely loved our food here. The avocado toast was incredibly well done and the French toast was sweet and delicious.
Breakfast was incredible and staff even better! Everything made from scratch including Ted's Tarts... They melt in your mouth!
The wait staff was fantastic. 3 adults and 2 children went on a weekday and our only complaint was that the sausage wasnt good (poorly seasoned, just blah). Other than that we all really enjoyed our meals- definitely liked the avocado toast. The tarts have sprinkles and weren't very good either. Great amount of seating.
So I visited this establishment this morning with my 2 friends. We just wanted to have a tasty brunch and a great time. Boy was I wrong about this restaurant. The pancakes tasted like aunt jemima’s, the table was sticky and dirty, and the food was mediocre. Our orders were wrong after we repeated it to our waitress a million times, assuming she comprehended but clearly not. I asked the waitress for hot water to clean my silverware with and she brought me cold water. I then asked for plastic silverware and she immediately caught an attitude. We asked to speak to a manager and out came woman, with a European accent, who seemed condescending and didn’t fix our problem at all. One thing I can say is that workers at the host stand were very sweet, we were greeted as soon as we stepped in, and as we were leaving we voiced our complaints and yet they still sent us off with a smile.
Great brunch! Would definitely suggest you have a reservation because it’s a pretty popular spot. Servers are knowledgeable and pleasant & drinks are good!
Best breakfast in DC, and not just at breakfast time! Super fun atmosphere and great wait staff. Definitely recommend!
Make reservations! We did and still had a 10 min wait. But worth it. We were there Saturday brunch time and had breakfast. Good diner food with the addition of a gluten free bread option and an almond milk option for coffee. Best latte ever. My sister said it was the best since she left Germany. Service excellent. Restrooms clean.
We went for breakfast on a Saturday and what a great experience! The food is excellent, the servers very friendly and the atmosphere is classy but homey at the same time. Try the crab benedict and the homemade breakfast pastries.
Seems like a cool place to hang out but it fell short of expectations. The night I was there they seemed to be out of sorts since they were out of tap beer and limited to only a couple canned beer selections. I wasn’t drinking so I wasn’t too concerned but something to keep in mind if you don’t want cocktails. I ordered the signature burger since it sounded delicious but it turned out to be very, very salty. I think I’d give them another shot because it just didn’t seem to be their night.
Cute family restaurant ambiance. Service was fantastic. Breakfasts are very hearty. My favorite was the fresh made lemon tart I snagged off my husband's order. Great coffee bar selection but the regular coffee was very good.
Awesome place with an extremely friendly vibe. The bartender was one of the nicest I've ever met
Great friendly service, good food and drinks, reasonable prices
The staff were all friendly and welcoming. I ordered the sloppy joe with fries and it was perfect and sloppy. We also didn't have to wait long for our food once we ordered. They play oldies but goodies which adds to the great environment. Overall I'd go again if I'm in the area.
Great breakfast, quiet cheap. Everything we ate was delicious and the service spectacular. They are going to say that there is a wait of 40-45 mins but you will very likely be seated before that.
Everything about this place is done so perfectly. There are menu options that should please the foodies and the picky folks or small people. Cocktails and shakes were splendid and the server was wonderful.
Good food. Friendly staff. Recommend trying boozy shakes and chicken fried chicken with steamed carrots.
This probably has to be one of the best restaurants I have been to in my life, absolutely everything was delicious. I love it!!!!
Very friendly service and nice food, although the pop tart desert wasn't that special, a little dry I thought. The decor gives the place a nice atmosphere and the bathrooms were clean and tidy.
My friend ordered avocado toast and added cheese but it came out without the cheese and the fried garlic on top was overdone and bitter. The poached eggs were over. The hashbrowns were a little blah. BUT the sausage gravy & biscuits were delicious and the Ted's Tarts were really good. They were busy and that probably contributed to it a lot. The staff was polite and courteous and I would try it again.
This vanilla crueler was one of the best doughnuts I've ever had. The rest of their bakery selections looked equally as decadent. The ambiance and decor was very comforting and tries to remind us of better times. I loved that they played oldies in the background.
Great carrot cake!! Atmosphere very family friendly. Make it a point to stop by monthly.
Do you enjoy a milkshake made to impress the person that’s seen it all? Do you love liquor? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to send your taste buds on a power cruise to victory? Cos that is what you’ll get by getting an adult milkshake at Tederino’s!!!! Key Lime pie is to dieeee for. Love this place! I go every time I’m in D.C. now, instead of Uber’s, I ride electric scooters.
I got their signature Ted's Burger and I really can't stress enough how good the flavors were. The atmosphere is great too. I have to say that service was weird (about 6 different people got us drink refills) but good. The price was probably a couple dollars more than I'd like but definitely bearable for the quality.
Good food, great service. Love the long hours and that breakfast is served all day.
Really unique place! Our service was pretty swift. The food came out hot and fast. My friend mentioned that it's one of her favorite restaurants in DC.
You'll find friendly folks and good fare here at Ted's. Contrary to what most signage says, the happy hour draft beers are actually $2.75 per, but the choices are limited to only 2. The food was really good and we weren't left waiting for anything we needed. This was my first experience with square tater tots, and I've gotta say I was quite satisfied by the hash brown taste. And if you've got a sweet tooth, this is the place for you. All desserts are made right there in the bakery and they have quite the selection to accommodate a wide range of tastes. The Ted Tarts are something akin to a Pop tart combined with a B&G pie. 8/10 would have again.
Ted's is a busy place but worth the wait. I really appreciate that they have a bunch of cooks. It makes for fast food delivery. Everything I've had has been good.
This restaurant walked right out of the 50's, complete with frosted glass windows and button-up staff uniforms. The service is fantastic; the waitstaff were very attentive and had an extremely positive attitude despite their being obviously shorthanded. Old TV shows playing (silently) on the wall in the background, such as I Love Lucy and the Andy Griffith Show added to the atmosphere. We ordered a mimosa which at first appeared disappointing because the glass was only half full, but we discovered that it was among the strongest mimosas we've ever had and we were very satisfied with it. They don't cheap out on their alcoholic beverages, which is always a good sign. We enjoyed our visit and will return again in the future.
Great breakfast place with over the top desserts
Yum! Yum!
Really amazing comfort food. I usually try everything and then feel bad about how fat I'm getting for the rest of the day. They make their own tarts- which are basically the best thing ever. Has a cool faux veneer that makes the place look quaint and old fashioned.
Cute place, great waiters. My food was not of nearly the quality I expected for the price (eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes). Fairly bland and disappointing. However my friend got the pastrami which they really liked.
my favorite place to eat in DC . went there for dinner and breakfast the next day . all the food is fresh and the service is great too
Great food and atmosphere. I had the brisket grilled cheese and it was amazing. The pop tarts are also really good. I would definitely return.
The coffee stand inside the shop is excellent. The food was okay, no flavor if I'm being truthful... But it was an enjoyable experience and the service was great!
1st time visit. Great service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere. Will come back.
Went twice this week with kids. Excellent all around both times. Good food and good service.
Best breakfast place in the area hands down! The service was great in the food was amazing. The shakes and the homemade Tarts are an experience. It was so nice, we had to eat breakfast here twice!
I had the Oreo milkshake, impossible burger with fries, a cocktail, and an appetizer--the avocado hummus--which I shared with my parents. Everything was delicious except for my cocktail. My parents loved the restaurant's historical roots and its upscale 80s diner style. Be sure to try its pop-tarts, which put a gourmet spin on the popular breakfast item.
Classic breakfast in a great atmosphere. This place has an old school American diner feel without being cheesy about it. The breakfast is great and service is solid. Dinner options are also classic American food, and don’t miss the adult milkshakes! My mom loves this place, and my grandpa would have too.
Always a good spot. The potatoes chip appetizer was amazing. Had the veggie burger which was just ok, and the fries were 7 out of 10. Friend who had the crab cake was not a fan.
The wait was worth it. Ending up sitting at window seating and loved the people watching. Good food. Once placed order food came quickly. Recommend cinnamon bun and turkey club.
Definitely should try this place for breakfast!! They have homemade pop tarts. I didn’t love my avocado toast but they have so many options, I’m sure I just need to try something else!! The milkshakes looked amazing. Fun part of town too, with lots of hip shopping nearby.
In general, it is a nice place with the history but there is a room to improve their service. It would be nice to have some attention when it is not busy at all (Wednesday!). The bar is nice, although the selection of drinks is very limited
Located in Cardozo on 14th, Ted's serves high quality comfort food and breakfast all day in old building with vintage decor. I asked the server for her recs and #1 was the breakfast burrito - I Hoovered it up. Fried chicken and the burger were also a hit at our table. But the thing to hold out for is dessert especially the tarts and the adult milkshakes. You can't go wrong with either (or both as I did in a high calorie binge).
Banana Creme Pie : get a slice....or four!
Just went for breakfast here. My order was incorrect and when I asked about it the manager brought the cook to my table to aggressively quizzed me about the food. So much so that I had to say I am feeling attacked. This was the most unprofessional place I have ever been. The manager then took our plates and just walked away leaving us with the bill. One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Also the coffee was completely unpalatable.
French toast
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE for breakfast!!! I'll try to make this short - - I get there shortly after they open, and I wait for about 4 minutes before the hostess shows up walking with a plate of food that she's eating (seriously unprofessional), bad first impression. My server Prince was very nice, friendly and helpful, probably the only good thing about this place. I order eggs scrambled very soft, they came out hard. I asked for them to redo the eggs, they came back exactly the same. The bacon was basic, AND 2 of the pieces had a weird greyish/brown color in the fatty parts, gross!! The coffee was really bitter a not good, even cream a sugar didn't make it better. But the worst was the hash browns. SOAKED IN GREASE, I had to take the hash browns off the plate and wipe the entire plate down with 4 paper napkins, and to top it off, the hash browns had ZERO flavor (even after I added salt, pepper and ketchup, it made little difference)!!! Go anywhere else, seriously, avoid this place!!!
We found this restaurant at the end of a long walk. It does not look much from the outside but the food was very enjoyable, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Smart, friendly service. The best pasta carbonara sauce I've ever tasted (a good kick of thyme). Disappointed that my English muffin was already soggy when it arrived, even though I specifically requested that it be "well toasted". The shakes were ethereal, both the bananas foster and the key lime. Ted's version of a pop tart was supposed to be a treat, but the only one we tried was uninteresting: next to no flavor other than sugar in the lemon-violet recipe, so none of the four of us wanted to finish it.
Ted's is a fantastic breakfast spot with some old school flair. While the normal breakfast items are delicious the highlight is definitely the home made pop-tarts. There seems to be a set lineup of unique flavors and one specialty seasonal selection. The pop-tarts alone are worth the visit.
This place was awesome. One of the only restaurants I truly enjoyed while in Washington (especially coming from New York first). We shared a homemade strawberry tart, and then had a big mark breakfast and a pancake stack. Everything was cooked to perfection and the coffee was good. Everyone was also extremely friendly. If I am ever back in Washington, I will certainly come here again.
Great breakfast! I loved the French Toast. My wife enjoyed her Crab Egg Benedict! Great service. I would definitely eat here again.
Delicious food and great service. Drinks were also excellent!
I was lured in by the breakfast all day menu. The food was good but not amazing. Very limited draft menu and my husband got a cocktail that was pretty bad. Chocolate cream pie dessert was the best part of the meal. Got a pop tart and it was cold, wish they had toasted it for a minute. Waitress was awesome!
I came in last week and got the short rib pot roast, and I would get it again. I would definitely come back to try out other things on the menu. Our waiter Jameel was great. I give the bathrooms a 4 out of 5. The bathroom was clean; they have stalls where there is no gap between the door. The decor of the bathroom matches the rest of the restaurant; there was clearly some thought put into the design. There were hooks in the stall for your things, except in the smaller stall the hook is right by the toliet, I can imagine someone's things accidentally falling into the toilet. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I don't remember if I saw a diaper changing station; please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, note this is only a review of the women's bathroom.
Ted's is very vibrant and fun. It's a whole lot of fun to watch old episodes of I Love Lucy on their big screens. Service was outstanding. The food was very plentiful and tasty. The only downer came from Ted's running out of their "impossible" burger. But this must prove how good they are. Got to go now and enjoy the pastries we brought home for dessert. Come and enjoy Ted's.
The food was the
Great place to go for comfort food, or breakfast any time. Family-friendly yet an interesting selection of adult beverages as well. Well-rounded kids menu, too.
Delicious food. Great and fast service!
Best brunch ever! All I have to say is homemade pop tarts and mimosas! So delicious, it does get crowded but the bar is easily positioned to drink and relax for a table! The breakfast burrito is super yummy!
One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! The home made pop tarts were incredible! Very accommodating to kids! The coffee was better than even my favorite Starbucks order. Highly recommend!
Amazing service, great atmosphere and food was a pleasure to eat. Highly recommend
Great food and service! Happy Hour prices are a steal
If you love comfort food, nostalgia, and great desserts, you've found a new favorite place. I don't even like milk shakes, but their adult toasted coconut with rum was outstanding. And I'll admit that the 70s music playing in the background was a big hit for me. Can't wait to go back
Service was a bit slow at first (waited 5-10 minutes after sitting to get a waitress), but after that was ok. Food was excellent.
Fantastic eclectic fusion of old school decor and expertly prepared incredible gourmet experiences.
Best breakfast and lunch in DC! Would like to move here just to be able to eat here on a regular basis lol good service and amazing tarts
This place has some really good food. The way they decorated is awesome. Not to mention they have a bakery that has really good pastries.
Anytime I'm in the area this is always a priority to go to. I grabbed a quick breakfast here on my last trip and it came out excellent and fast. I love getting their tarts as well. Always a nice place to get food from!
Always good food. The kids love the menu
Kids menus games are fun! My kids really enjoyed the mac and cheese, burger, and fingers. I loved the salmon salad. Husband enjoyed breakfast for dinner! Biscuit gravy #drool
The wait was worth it. Ending up sitting at window seating and loved the people watching. Good food. Once placed order food came quickly. Recommend cinnamon bun and turkey club.
I liked it for my 1st time being there. The bartender/server was kinda dry but the food was good.
This is our staple when in comes to breakfast when we come to DC. We are regulars at Ted, and you need to Try their Big as your Head Cinnabun!! Also a shout out to Riyah our server, and Karina the Manager at Ted’s Bulletin. We had a hiccup the last time we went, but they handle it with such class. Thank you both for a great experience!
Had the blueberry cheesecake poptart, which was delicious. Service was very friendly and prompt.
Best old fashion shakes and burgers. Good thing I do not live in the area or I would be there so often I would loose my svelte figure.
Great, varied menu of meals all made fresh in house, with breakfast served all day. Full bar. Wonderful, friendly service. Moderately priced. Would go again. And again.
The food was great. I had the chili soup with milkshake. It would have been nice if the milkshake had been made from fresh fruit as opposed to strawberry and banana flavors.
Delicious food and excellent service. It took awhile for our server to stop by the table- some confusion as to whos table it was - but another server let her know and comped us one of their homemade pop tarts to make things right. Very thoughtful
Best place fir breakfast on 14th Street.
Extremely busy but worth the hassle... we sat at the front bar, bartender and waitress where so professional, they managed to swiftly serve a massive number of people! food is really good and meals are really big, bit expensive but you will not feel hungry until dinner if you go for brunch!
Great food, menu has tons of variety, service was fast and friendly. Great atmosphere!
Super long wait, told us 25min, ended up over 60min. After ordered the food came in 30 min. DO NOT order the reubin sandwich, it's nothing close to NYC style. The burger is decent but not worth it. I asked for med rare got a well done, and was really salty. The side fries are mehhh. Not worth the wait
Sat at the bar to eat. I really have no complaints, it's just that it wasn't necessarily a 5-star meal. It was good.
The 2 stars are only because the service was good, but if I was judging their ability to put together a simple breakfast burrito, I would hesitate to give even one star. I asked for a burrito without meet or cheese, and instead of the avocado cream, to make it just regular avocado. When I received the burrito, it contained only eggs and potato. No avocado, no “roasted tomato salsa” as listed on the menu, and no cilantro. Apparently no dairy means no seasoning and half of the vegetables missing. Very disappointing.
I enjoyed their grown-up milkshakes. The food is okay somewhat traditional American breakfast. Pricing is reasonable if you're looking for a brunch spot. They move pretty quickly so seating is not much of a concern.
This place is incredible and highly underrated. Things to order: the soft pretzel appetizers with beer battered cheese. I usually just order this as my entire meal and order a warmed up homemade pop tart for dessert. The pop tarts are life changing and can be gotten to go. Decent cold but you'll be happier if you request that they warm it up for you.
Great food and service.
The waiter ordered our meals incorrectly and did not return to the table to ask how we were doing. The food was overpriced but otherwise adequate, but not as requested.
Breakfast was amazing! Will definitely be back.
Great breakfast and dinner for a party of one. The food was served quickly and it was flavorful. I visited for dinner one evening and I was so impressed, I returned for breakfast.
Service was great. The atmosphere was very welcoming too! However, the food was mediocre. The mumbo sauce served with the chicken and biscuits, was unseasoned. In addition the cheddar eggs I ordered barely had cheddar and the pancakes tasted like store bought pancake mix. Overall, the food my guest and I ate could’ve easily been exactly replicated in the comfort of our home.
Such an awesome breakfast spot! I got the ultimate breakfast sammie and it was delicious. I also did a side of biscuits and gravy and a brown sugar cinnamon Ted tart. I saw other restaurant goers with the pancakes and part of me wishes I would have went that route, however, I don’t think anything from this place would disappoint!
Part of it is definitely my fault but...Open table offered me reservations for this place and I made it for mother's day. It turn out the app automatically take you to the next day. They don't make reservations for Sunday. I made it for Monday not paying attention that it wasn't Sunday mother's day. We all met there (the four of us) and it turn out I didn't have a reservation for 4. I was horrified because Brunches can be busy anywhere. The host by the front saw that I wasn't lieying but said the wait for a year for 4 is of one hour and half hour. I was expecting that he would at least call the manager and explain the situation and see what they could do. They didn't do anything. I hate to argue or be persistent when I felt like an idiot, we walked out and thankfully we found a different place that we enjoyed very much not that far.
Honestly what on earth is the raving about? Let’s just simply express an objective ish thought of the food I have experienced the 2 times I’ve eaten here. Really over hyped and bland. I wish I was impressed. The board with deviled eggs tasted literally like mayonnaise and mustard no spice no nothing just as plain as can be with tasteless over chills pimento cheese, the grilled cheese literally was dorm room quality. It sort of surprises me that a place who’s only job is to serve food can’t muster up a truly decent meal. Not remotely impressed.
Tried the Salmon Toast. Delicious. Delightful Atmosphere. Great Customer Service. Pricey if you're not from around the area, but a great place to come and grab a bite.
One of the best brunch spots in the city! I love the vibe and my out of town guests are always floored by the quality!
Sightseeing DC for a few days and my son found this place for breakfast. Teds' B is simply one of those gems that you don't find quite often. Well prepared food, great service and an overall wonderful experience. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and was simply out of this world. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
Oh my... this place was a very pleasant surprise! The pastry was amazing, the atmosphere was vintage, and the service was very personable. Definitely recommend Ted's!
One of my fav places to go. Food has always been one point. I love this location because you can sit at the diner style bar instead of waiting. Service is pretty good and attentive. It is always busy which is attributed to their really good food. Their shakes are amazing and please try a pop tart. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Street parking. No outside seating. It has an old school bar feel.
We stopped by here early one morning because someone mentioned their homemade pop-tarts and it got our attention. The pop-tart was good, but nothing we'd make a special trip for again. The food was good, as well, but nothing great... just "okay". The service was excellent, though. I'm on the fence with this one- can't really recommend it to anyone, but it wasn't a bad experience (mediocre).
The place is super nice, it’s a real American old style diner, food was very good and the tarts are tasty (they are served cold, so if you want it warm ask for them to warm it up). The only downside is that the coffee is way over priced. Other than that I highly recommend this place.
Great food and service. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent service.. Excellent menu at excellent prices.. What more could you ask for.. ☺
Great service and great food, looks upscale but very down to earth. Family friendly and no wait for a table at about 730pm. Prices from 15 to 25 on average for each.
Had the french toast here and super glad I did. Might've taken a few donuts to go too lol. Awesome place with great service. Will for sure be back.
Food and shakes are all delicious!! We had slow service but our server was friendly and helpful. We wanted to watch a game at the bar but they couldn’t turn the channel off CNN. But the pancakes and adult shakes are great - makes the rest worth it!
I fell in love with this place. The atmosphere was wonderful (be still, my heart, with I Love Lucy playing when we walked in for breakfast!) The food was so so good and the coffee was fresh & hot. Great service too! I am already looking forward to eating here on a return trip to DC.
Really dig the look of restaurant. Food was okay. Milkshake was good.
This place is perfect. Great food. Amazing baked goods. Convenient with several locations. Atmosphere is very nice as well. Ate here twice in 4 days and got breakfast takeout for the boys.
I had the steak and eggs and it was really tasty. The chocolate millshake was bomb as well
The Key Lime Pie milkshake made with coconut rom was amazing.
Bangin' food, killer portions... The milkshakes!!! I've been here more then a handful of times and the food never disappoints.
We loved the food. We had bozzie shakes, chicken fried chicken was my favorite. Has lots of history. Staff is very nice, place is clean.
From the outside you see what appears to be a restored building from the 1930s era on the corner. But it actually is a modern replica of that period. There is metered parking if you can find it. There is a main entrance with a classic revolving door, in addition to an entrance for the bakery and one for the bar. Once you enter the bar is on the right, service desk in the center and the bakery area to the left. We arrived in the middle of the day, were escorted to our counter table near the back and close to the windows. There are multiple seating options with vintage decor, coffered like ceilings with faux copper inserts and really cool period lighting everywhere. The menu focuses more on breakfast, lunch, pastry options, shakes, sandwiches, burgers and a few main entree items. The server was pleasant arrived quickly, took our order and our food arrived within 10-15 minutes. The portions were large, flavorable and the prices were average. The overall atmosphere is somewhat cozy, but great for a business gathering, couples, families or tourists who want something different. I would definitely return and this time I will order one of their classic milkshakes. My girlfriend's kids were in heaven devouring theirs.
Changed the menu and removed the gumbo dish. Pastrami on the sandwich was sliced too thick, overpriced and portion was very small
pick up a quick bite or dine in. very tasty.
I truly love Ted's. And that's not because I used to live upstairs from it. Who wouldn't love a homemade pop tart in one of fine different fabulously filled flavors? Or an oatmeal cream pie sandwich cookie (the BEST thing there -- HANDS DOWN!!!). Or one of the daily specials that are each and every day, incredible.
Ted's is like an overpriced diner. The best things to order is breakfast, burgers and the brussel sprouts. Their shakes are good, too. The hallmark of a Ted's experience is the homemade poptarts. They have seasonal flavors that rotate in and out. Healthy food is not available on this menu, but comfort food definitely is.
Great food excellent customer service
Good food and portions but very crowded
