I tried to eat at this Spartans location tonight but had to walk out because the service was so bad. Things started out fine. I seated myself and the server immediately took my drink order. A minute later she came back with my iced tea and a small pitcher of tea to leave at the table for refills. So far so good. And then things got strange. As she was setting my drink down I started to give her my order. As I was speaking another customer walks up and asks my server where she should seat her party of five - while I'm speaking. So apparently this customer was raised in a barn to do something so rude. But here's the thing... Instead of telling the other customer "one moment please" and letting me finish ordering, the server immediately walks off to help the other customer rearrange some tables and chairs for her party WHILE I AM GIVING HER MY ORDER. I was left literally with my mouth hanging open because I was in mid-sentence when she walked away. And make no mistake, I am not soft spoken and she absolutely heard me speaking. So I got up and left. I will never go back. Which is a shame because I love a good gyro.

I loved the food i had the 2 times i went there. I can see why it is rated so high. Seating is a bit limited, so if you go in the middle of busy times, you may be waiting. We didn't have that problem as we went a bit early for dinner and late for lunch the other time

I tried this place for the first time with my family. The place was very crowded and I finally realized that it was Super Bowl night. I have never seen so many people pick up pizzas to go. From the looks of patrons around , they seemed to be a lot of regulars. I’m not sure if it was due to the shortage of workers or the fact that they were super busy, but I found the food just ok. I would probably give them a 3.5 but to see that everyone was working very hard and trying their best is why I give them 4 stars. I will definitely come back to give them a second taste test and judge for myself again.

Food is great and the staff are the nicest. I haven't had a single bad experience for the past few years I've been going here, however because reservations aren't offered we've generally needed to arrive 5 - 10 minutes earlier to wait for a table during the restaurant's busy hours. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area.

This is a great restaurant with a wide range of delicious food! The staff is very nice and there's lots of seating options. This is just a very friendly place. I got a gyro here the other day and before that, a grilled cheese. I want to visit here for breakfast soon, but that is only available on the weekend.

The place is busy! But the food is tasty. I’ve had their chicken sandwich. The portion is unbeatable. I made my entire office order from there and returned for lunch meetings. Some discount for large return orders would be great! May help keep making the restaurant busier.

We have loved Spartans for many years. The staff is always friendly and attentive and treat you like family. The food is terrific and their chicken souvlaki is a favorite. Anytime a guest comes to town, we head over for Mousaka... One serving feeds two people and it is out of this world. They serve breakfast on weekends til 2pm! Add chicken to the Spartans Omelette for the best breakfast for two EVER.

Really like this restaurant, one of the only "Diner" style restaurants in the area that lives up to the name. Everyone working here has always been friendly and helpful and the food has always been great. Recommend any of the greek sandwich options.

I ordered the French toast with 2 eggs and ham. My wife ordered the Gyro. My French toast was both undercooked and dry, which doesnt make sense because that I had to choke down a liquid product. Eggs were eggs, cant mess those up. The ham was literally just some lunch meet they threw in a pan.. Like... They went to walmart and bought one of those round ham packets. My wifes Gyro and Sweet Potato Fries wete amazing. Fantastic taste, portion, and price. Moral of the story: Don't ask the greeks to cook outside of their comfort zone?

The service here is always enjoyable. Very quick and helpful with any special request. . The food here is to match. The Gyro is amazing. Plus there is a great small beer selection to choose from. Pizza is crispy and goof. All in all, I would always go out of my way to eat here. It's just that good.

Perfect Greek/Italian diner comfort food. Our go-to for take out pizza or a casual family dinner, whether it’s just a salad, sandwiches, gyro or souvlaki, or nice Greek or Italian entrees. Always busy on Friday nights. I guess they have nice breakfast on Sunday but we’ve never been.

Eat here all the time. Love the family and friendly atmosphere. If something isn't right they make it right. The food is great and you may combine it your way with reason. They will accommodate small groups. Almost our second home.

We visited on a week day about 5pm. Surprisingly few patrons (maybe 50%). We found our seat, and this is when things started to go poorly. Waitress didn't show up until we flagged a different one to serve us. This was highly unusual, given the 30 years we have eaten here. After we ordered we had to find someone to get our meals delivered (30 minutes). The food was good as usual. Waitress never came back, we went to the cashier to pay what we felt were inflated prices. Sorry to say we won't be eating here for a long time to come.

Went for the first time last night. There were too many people and not enough staff. At one point, 5 parties were gathered at the door and no one came over to assist. The “seat yourself” sign was inconspicuously displayed/not obvious to the people, so someone should have assisted. Only two parties stuck around. The others turned around. And it was because of the inattentive staff, not the absence of free tables. The food was underwhelming and nothing to write home about (which is kind of ironic because of this post) . We started with out-of-the-bag calamari with some type of marinara sauce, which was the special of the day. Definitely nothing special about it. Afterwards, I had the gyro pita sandwich, which had very little flavor. It was basically an unflavored meat sandwich. We were so disappointed that we didn’t bother sticking around for dessert. No desire to return.

Really enjoyed the greek chicken souvlaki platter with fresh, warm pita bread and a greek side salad. They use the good feta cheese and the tzatziki sauce is delish! I have never tried any of their italian fare but might give it a shot next time. It's hard to skip their greek food when I go there!

I am the father of young children and this eatery provides a stress free place to eat a family dinner. The staff is proficient and I have received above average service at times. The food is excellent and the portions are adequate for a large family. I personally like the Gyro dinner. I will often get takeout pizza from Spartan's and although it is pricier than a national establishment like Papa John's and Domino's, I like supporting small businesses. All in all well worth a visit.

If I could give them ten stars I would. Always friendly, polite, make me feel truly like family. Their pizza is absolutely fantastic. The best I've had in this area of Northern VA period. I've been on the quest for the best NY pizza in the area and now I know I've finally found it. We've been in the area for some time now (we live down the road), and it's seriously a treat to order from here when we can. My husband loves the tuna melt and the gyros. I love the gyros too, and their mozzarella sticks. Try them and you won't be disappointed!

I habe been eating at Spartans for years. The food here is usually pretty good, not made from scratch but a little better than the usual American Greek restaurant. Very busy around dinner time and sometimes there is quite a wait for food. The staff is friendly and it has a good atmosphere. The reason for my 3 stars is that as of late food quality has slipped. I usually order a chicken gyro. One recent time I got my gyro there were only 4 cubes of chicken on it, very dissapointing. The last two times I got chips with my gyro I got bottom of the bag basically chip crumbs with only one or two actual chips.

Amazing place! My boyfriend works at the MyGym next door and always gets their pepperoni pizza. Last time we went they were understaffed--on a Saturday at lunchtime--but the server still kept our water full and attended to our needs. Their salads are great. You can tell service and good food is really their passion. They don't skimp on portion sizes! Great small business.

Ordered the Village Salad and got lots of great chopped vegetables, a LARGE slab of Feta cheese, and no olive oil. Must have been super busy in the kitchen that they forgot, as did the kids (I hope they were teenagers) because I had to go to the cashier and ask for Olive Oil for my salad.

My girlfriend and I met some friends who are local to the area last weekend. The waitress was impolite and acted like she owned the restaurant. She kept talking over us. She would chat with the staff and kept leisurely doing so even when we were simply placing our orders. Everything our party ordered though large in portions tasted bland. It's an average restaurant with very average or below average food. When she asked us how our meal was, we were honest but polite and said the food was "just ok." She acted very offended on top of already having been rude. I guess we were supposed to lie to make her feel good about herself.

And their food never gets old!
