I have been here many time and always had a great experience. I love their burgers. But tonight I stopped by for dinner and our server seemed to be rude. Got entrees and a shake for desert. He brought the desert way before our entrees, which is fine maybe I should have been clear that I wanted desert after entrees. I asked him to bring it after the entrees so he took it away. After our entrees this is how he served our shakes. He just came, put it on our table and left. If you’re going to have this kind of attitude, maybe you shouldn’t be in this business.

My family LOVES this place!!! The food is beyond amazing, wait staff is fabulous. This is the only good thing about moving to the west end so far. Can’t wait to have my mom come visit so we can take her there. Highly recommend going here.

The food is good for a quick bite and there are healthy options. Service is good and the place is clean but I have seen at least a handful of people fall/trip when they leave. There is a slope down to part of the parking lot and it is dangerous. I can see it being more of a problem in the rain sleet or snow and ice.

This place was awful. The service was nice which is the reason I’m giving 2 stars. The food horrible. They are not a typical diner and they don’t really cook diner food. We went ahead and ordered. I got a simple Turkey club with a salad. The salad was okay the Turkey club was horrible. I could have made a better sandwich. A friend of mine got the fish fry and it was way over spiced. It was like eating a whole bottle of old bay. Not to mention he got food poisoning from it. Just an awful experience. Will not return

Dawn was our server. We knew she was new because she hadn’t gotten the chance to try a lot of the food. She was awesome! Very attentive, friendly, and always smiling. The avocado toast and the club were great! The prices are higher than what I would expect at a diner, but the quality was good.

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I was treated as a guest of another person, therefore, I did not complain. However, I would not suggest ordering french toast stuffed banana cream. Bananas were added on top but we had to pay extra for blueberries in lieu of chocolate chips. Bacon and eggs were requested with the order. I never received the bacon, the eggs were cold, and the cream filled toast was a dessert vs breakfast. I definitely would not order this meal again, however, I may try another meal, if I returned to the restaurant again.

This is kind of a fancy dinner, or at least the food is. Staff is very friendly and the food is very good, just not what you would expect from a dinner. Everything from prime rib to quinoa. Their sauces and spreads are where they really shine. Would have been a 5 star if the restrooms where cleaner, that's a sticking point for me. Would highly recommend if your in the Innsbrook area.

Love the style an how most of their stuff is locally sourced. I didn't like how only 1 steak is on their menu but the price of that one made me understand why. Food was good but honestly fell they're a tad overpriced for trying to emulate a old school dinner, I understand nowadays we have to cater to healthy and non meat eaters but most of the menu catered to them. I might be back.

Nostalgic juke boxes for 25 cents and songs in que, so immediately select choices upon seating. Ugh! No dance floor. Need complementary servers, please!

Get there earlier than 6 :30 on the weekends it gets busy. Love this place. I like the whole Diner style seats and everything and that you can play music from your table. Very retro. The food was excellent can't remember the name of my server but she was attentive kept coming back and asking if we needed anything. Great service

Amazing. The avacado toast is clearly fresh and ripe. The brussel sprouts were deliciously crunchy and the dipping sauce went perfect with them. The brownies are a beautiful chocolate desert. Love this place

Love this place! The food is a little on the higher end but it's not just regular cheesy diner food. There has been so much thought put into some of these entrees and I love it! Most of the waitresses and waiters that we receive have been such a joy, I don't expect every one of them to be super cheery helpful happy all the time because that's just irritating they're human too they're allowed to have bad days! The atmosphere is actually pretty high energy but chill at the same time and I like that. there's not much that they won't do if you ask they really do try to please the customer and sometimes that's lost in diners especially the 24-hour ones

Wow, what a meal! When I seen it was a diner, I was expecting you know a diner! But this was one of the classiest diners I have ever seen. Gourmet food! But I was in the mood for a burger. And that's what I did with a side of onion rings and some crazy ginger ale. It was FABULOUS! Highly recommend!

All American comfort food! French toast AND milkshakes?! Yes please! Chicken pot pie, burgers, and fries are all mouthwatering and to die for. This diner proudly sports a jukebox stereo system based on patrons' selections to listen to throughout the dining area. You can sit in at the bar stools watching the chefs or in a cozy booth with the family. It even has kids and game nights and other family friendly events.

I was absolutely impressed. My girlfriend and I ate here a couple weekends ago and we were really happy with the whole experience. I ordered the crabcake dinner, and she got the french toast. We came in late (11:30pm) and the place was pretty busy. My crab cakes were delectable and filled with lump crab meat. I wish i wouldve ordered a side other than french fries but my ceasar salad and cole slaw were phenomenal. The fries were good but next time i would opt for some type of veggies or a baked potato. My gf's French toast was decadent. Made with what appeared to be half a loaf of bread. Texas toast style. Amazing texture/perfectly baked bread and just very comforting. We really admired all of the organic ingredients on the menu and creative vegan options. I cant believe I hadnt tried this place before. Will be back for sure! A+

What a wonderful restaurant! Our waitress, Sydney, was kind and very prompt. They have a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options (Hurray!), and the food was phenomenal! The atmosphere is friendly with that old-fashion diner feeling, complete with a jukebox at every table. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Richmond!

Although the menu is interesting and the aesthetics of the building are nice, this place is gross. They do have potential. There was a long hair in the bottom of my glass. My wife had a lemon seed in her water; she did not get lemon with her water. Bathroom didn’t have toilet paper. Urine all over the floor. My shoes stick to the tiled floor in the restaurant. Not sure why people would revisit this place with the vast selection of restaurants in this area.

My family and I went to Silver Diner on August 16th around 6:30pm; it was 8 of us. I wish I could remember the servers name but I’m sure once they see this post they will remember us. It was my sisters turn to order and she was going back and forth between a couple of menu items and at the last minute decided to change her selection. My family and I are black and our server was white. When my sister changed her menu item at the last minute, the server, instead of understanding, decided to say “you people kill me” and walk away. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but she was very dry and inattentive to us. We sat back and watched how she interacted with the rest of her customers (all white) and it was totally different. My aunt also found a piece of hard plastic in her food, after she had already digested some. The manager was extremely apologetic and seemed very upset that this happened to her. I didn’t want to stress him out more by telling him what our server said b/c it already seemed like he was about to cry. I do want to bring this to the attention of the establishment. Our bill was over $200 and my dad tips very handsomely. I don’t believe the service we got from our server matched the tip. I will not be going to silver diner anymore because of this very unfortunate instance.

I have been here a few times in the past and it has always been satisfactory. This morning I came with a friend and the menu had changed and I believe the prices have gone up. I ordered the country scrambler, which I thought was a little pricey ($13.99) but we were already seated so I went ahead and ordered. When it came, the food was OK but they had forgotten my home fries and biscuit. When I mentioned it to our server, he told me that mine did not include it. I pointed it out on the menu where it said it did and he argued, saying 'Yes, but yours doesn't because it has fruit in it'. He offered me to order it as an a la carte item meaning the price would even go higher. He had zero interest in me being disappointed. I believe I will be crossing this off my list as a 'go to' breakfast spot.

Very cool diner set on a 50s theme. Including juke boxes at the tables with nostalgic music. A great selection of foods and even vegan and gluten free options! I had gluten free avocado toast with vegan scrambled eggs. Great service, clean, friendly and convenient location.

I had excellent service here. I believe her name was Tanya, but my memory often fails me. She had a womderfully inviting energy and went above and beyond to ensure we knew what we were getting and loved every bite. My friend got the caramel banana french toast which looked as delicious as she described it to be. She's pretty picky about her french toast so this was a win! I'm vegan and while silver diner does have great vegan options, I chose to mix it up a bit. I got the ancient grains bowl, but instead of shrimp the beyond meat burger patty broken up. I'm also crazy about the lemon pesto they make here that normally comes with the inhouse roasted tomato, (I could drink it) so I got that as my dressing instead of what normally comes with it. Highly recommend. I've had it way too many times this year! Love the food quality I consistently receive at Silver Diners!

Tonight I just had the exact experience Corey R. had a week ago with the Country Scrambler. This dish is listed in a section stating the entrees come with home fries and biscuit; however, this item does specify silver dollar pancakes, so I wasn't expecting a biscuit. BUT, in the description of what the scramble itself includes, it lists home fries again. Also fresh fruit. Well, my Scrambler had no detectable home fries in it, and none on the side. And no fresh fruit either. I pointed out these things to my waitress who said she would take it up with a manager. When she came back she had taken one dollar off. I asked again about the home fries and she said that they were "only a little, probably less than 2 ounces in it, and I don't know why they even put that on the menu." There weren't any home fries there I could find, and darn straight you shouldn't claim something is in your dish when it is undetectable. To top it off, it didn't taste good anyway. Ate barely half and left hungry after working until midnight and trying to have a nice late dinner. My husband didn't finish his bland omelette, either. Poor food and very overpriced.

The food was good but the service was exceptionally slow. I took my parents here because they enjoy it and they were pretty bummed that the waitress messed up their "rewards points" and they didn't get their discount. To top it off it took a good fifteen minutes for the waitress to tell my dad they were out of both types of beer he requested (including Devil's Backbone-seriously?) Don't think it's worth the hassle to try it again.

Was in town on company business staying the hotel near by after being fed Pizza for lunch I felt I needed something healthy for dinner! Their menu looked delicious and so many options. I decided to give it a try. I wanted the summertime Cod meal but I wanted it with Salmon instead, the girl that took my order was sweet and said not a problem. It was absolutely delicious! It was so good I had to go back the next evening and get it again. I will be back when I'm in town again for sure!

The place has a really nice old time feel with mini jukeboxes on each table. The menu also had a lot of options and our food tasted great. My only complaint was that even though the diner was busy when we went and I assume they were making food to order, all of my food was room temperature as if it had been sitting out. Would definitely give them another try though if in the area.

I was traveling for a conference in Richmond and thought to have a nice meal to take back to my hotel room. I was taken to the register to place my order but no one came to take my order. The only 2 people waiting on people never acknowledged me. Mind you it was hardly anyone in the restaurant so it wasn't like they were busy. I waited a few minutes more no one helped me so I left. I guess I'll never try this restaurant again.

The burger i got was very delicious and juicy. The french fries were okay and I really like the theme and feel of the diner. I find the staff is always friendly and quick to help when you need something. The options contain lots of options for many types of diets so definitely check them out!

The food is great. I've only had breakfast items but they were very good. A step above a traditional diner style breakfast. The staff was also great. But the wait for our food - unbearable. I thought it was a fluke so we went back 2 more times and every time we went it took FOREVER to get the food. I don't expect to be served instantly at a sit-down restaurant but I don't expect to wait 45 minutes for generic breakfast items that take a couple minutes to actually cook.

I ordered a Mediterranean Greek salad with no onions and added shrimp for an additional $6.99. Although the salad looked fresh, the first one came out with onions but there was a good portion of salad. I had to send it back but when it came back, there was much less salad with 6 shrimp. I was disappointed. I expected more for a $20 salad. It was tasty and fresh but the portion was very small for the price.

Great healthy food, excellent service. We were a group of 14 seated during the Sunday morning rush. I feared it would be a long wait for our food. Not the case! We had an efficient server who got us taken care of quickly and accurately. The food at the Silver Diner is of high quality.....there are many organic and locally grown choices. I have some dietary restrictions and the server was able to point me to several tasty options. I live a distance from this restaurant yet make it a point to eat here whenever I'm in the area.

It’s not often that we rate a restaurant with 5 stars, BUT, these folks are deserving of it. We stop by this location driving through the area. The servers are always very good, the coffee is not the usual weak coffees of many places and the food selections are second to none. If you are looking for a “diner” meal you can find it here, and if you are looking for a vegan meal, you can find it here. Don’t make the mistake of not stopping in.

For all things food, this is the place ! Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner served all hours ! The dinner menu is outrageous, serving to meat eaters, fish, Gluten Free, and Vegan !! Good diner food. There are some interesting healthy choices on the menu. Fun decor. I've visited twice...one time the service was very good and the other it was so-so. A little pricey and was loud when we visited on a super busy day. Overall, I'd definitely go again, but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Over priced food tasted very plain. No flavor at all... family of 6 cost 75 dollars. An that was only chicken meals. I won't be coming back to this place. Loved the crab soup here. Not too thick as many are, but just the right consistency, and rich with many levels of flavor. This is a great place to come with a bunch of people because they can ways accommodate. always great service and a variety of food for every taste. The salmon and avacado toast is a tremendous treat for the pallette.

I love this place. Have been here multiple times with friends and family, and will definitely visit again. Food is great in terms of taste, portion size and quality. So far, I have had the salmon sliders, lemon chicken piccata, very berry yogurt smoothie, chicken pot pie, clam chowder and beers. Enjoyed them all. Service is good. Definitely recommend.

The hostess was very rude when she saw my group 8 come in. She actually snarled at a suggestion of table arrangement of across booths since there was no table. We knew we were a large group and had no problem. With waiting if she preferred. She walked to the back of the restaurant and I think she sulked/crawled back to the front to seat us. Our server was AMAZING! He was upbeat and friendly. Funny without hovering. Truly charismatic. Great for a larger group. Food wasn't completely correct but it was still good. Our server tried to make it right but we were good. Little over priced for some of the items I saw. This was 2 months ago when we came and I did fill out a comment card then about the hostess and our fabulous server.

Where do I begin, it was sat 9/21 we were sat at a booth and it took our waiter 25 mins to get ask for our drinks and by then we were ready to order and the server acted like he didnt want to rake and told us to take more time, finally 15 min later he comes back with drinks, and there was only 3 of us, 2 adults and 1 child, he never came back to check our drinks or anything my child dropped his coloring paper right in front of him and the waiter just walked all over it, which that's not tr he big deal, finally we get our food not only was it cold but we didn't even get our salad or soup I asked the person who delivered the if the entrees came with it to be sure because I know we asked for them and then I got mine but my boyfriend didnt and then immediately we got the check, the waiter came and took our plates even though we were still eating and my son who is only 2 he took his food away aswell, and we never got our drinks refilled the waiter must have forgot that aswell, we asked to speak to a manager and nobody came to our table. If we were going to spend the money we did we could have got better service else where I was very disappointed, I know people have bad days I was a server too but you dont just forget your table like that.. and the whole time we were there he was at the booth behind us attending to them, we tried to get his attention and nothing.. the food would've been good if maybe is was hotter..

My waitor was one of the best waitors I've ever had, I wish I could remember his name but his attitude was delightful. I had a burger and fries and I can honestly say that it was probably one of the best burgers I've had at a diner, the fries are thin and crunchy and I really liked that too. This place is a little farther away from my house but definitely worth it!

Visiting best friend in Richmond from NC. She smartly suggested Silver Diner for brunch before I hit the road. The Bison Juevos Rancheros are fantastic! The bloody Mary's are delicious. I had a super minor issue and the waiter, Ricky, was extremely apologetic and corrected it immediately. We were approached by the manager, Justin, less than five minutes later. As a hospitality professional I am BLOWN Away. By the way its Father's Day and they are packed. AMAZED.

Fantastic food, lots of veggie options, too. Little mini jukeboxes at the table, which my kid loves. Small but good beer selection. They take kids eat free night a step further by having a kids night on Tuesdays, with entertainment! The mango veggie stir fry is my go-to.

Normally when a restaurant has five pages of menu I get worried that nothing in the menu will wow me. I couldn't be happier to admit that I'm wrong in this case. I've been there twice now and the food is great for the price. Not the best burgers in Richmond, but very good atmosphere and extras. I had a bloody mary that tasted great and a small ice cream sundae that was also delicious and generous. Our waitress Melanie was attentive and polite even though the place was pretty busy. She even brought me a to-go cup of my drink (iced tea) unprompted with my check. Silver Diner is definitely added to our rotation of favorite restaurants.

Outstanding food. You get great tasting food for the price. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict... It's some of the best I've ever eaten. The old fashioned juke boxes are a nice touch to their booth tables. Make sure to get a booth and bring some quarters to enjoy the experience! I'd recommend to anyone looking for a high quality breakfast diner.
