This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
Great Indian spot without the crowds. They facilitate delivery, but it's much better to go in person to experience the friendliness of the staff and get everything fresh. I've been going here once or twice a month for years and every time I walk in the staff remembers me. This is a place I would miss if I move from the area. Not a spot I would recommend for tourists just in town temporarily, but a solid local dive worth frequenting if you're from the neighborhood.
Good buffet!
Worst buffet I ever had... worst food. I dono how people gave positive reviews. Non hygienic food. Better don't go to this place
$13 weekend lunch buffet was great! Food was good, start was very friendly. The naan was hot and fresh. All the food was very solid.
Great selection and nice environment. Authentic and tasty food.
Great buffet for lunch.
Very good menu. Tasty lamb curry and house special goat dish. They have a white wine from India which was good. Very good spinach appetizer.
Such a nice atmosphere. Everyone was helpful and patient. Delicious food served on charming copper pots. They are not kidding, you really must order the Mo Mos.
Pretty good Indian buffet and good value for price.
Best Indian food in DC area
Nice lunch buffet...
We went here for a dinner on Wednesday night. Place wasn’t crowded and it was really nice and relaxing atmosphere. Pretty quiet as well. My Friend is on GF and sugar free diet and oh Lord, we found lots of things without it! Yummy? No... Super Yummy! I ordered lamb and my friends had chicken tiki masala and something else;) I forgot the names. But it was really tasty. Tried their traditional drink - kinda like a salty yogurt. Great stuff! Will be back for sure and will recommend to everyone! Thanks
The ambience is pretty basic, but the food is very consistently good. Our go to Indian spot. My favorite in the area.
Fabulous food, excellent service
Excellent mix of meat and vegetarian dishes in the buffet. Delicious food.
Mediocre food. Decent service.
Nice restaurant.good food. Good customer service
Good food, reasonable prices, we were there for lunch buffet, but I expected little more variety specially in the dessert section
I took lunch buffet on weekend. Food was ok and I felt less options for vegetarians.
Delicious indian and moglai food.
Awesome Food Great and smiling service. The waitress who served us was so cute and had a great smile. We gave our Baby food and asked her to heat it up and she just made it perfectly hot. Awesome Awesome Indian Food and Great Service. I recommend.
This is a very nice restaurant. I enjoyed it. Great food, great selection, friendly staff. It is a little run down but the food is great.
My go to for delicious Indian food. Friendly staff excellent food.
Went there while visiting DC. Nice little restaurant. They had a good spread for lunch buffet. Food was above average.
Lunch buffet is excellent and reasonably priced. Dishes are varied (meat & vegetarian) and authentic with all the condiments you would want.
Friendly staff but the food was not good at all. The one star ratings are not exaggerating. The sauces lacked any distinctive flavor, the masala was sweet, and the tandoori chicken was mainly salty. If you have any experience with good Indian food and have some expectations, avoid this restaurant.
Good food, excellent service. Warm and cozy place.
This is a stand alone restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of shopping malls. But don't let that fool you for a moment. The interior decorator.of this place is as good as it's food. I have visited this place many times with my entire family and have not been disappointed even once. The servers are very polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
I've been here several times and this is my favorite Indian restaurant in the northern Virginia area. I got the Rogan Josh my first time visiting and ever since I am unable to order anything else it is so good. My girlfriend has tried other dishes and she's in agreement this is the best Indian place in the area. The location looks a little shady at first but once you are inside it's perfectly fine. Certainly one of those hidden gems in the area. I highly recommend.
I love to eat Indian once in a while and there are so many good things on this menu that I try to have something different each time I go. This time it was an eggplant dish that was nicely spiced and went well with the rice and a glass of Fume Blanc. This place doesn't disappoint!
They've switched out some items since we visited years ago, but cant knock them because the food here is still excellent.
The selection of food was great. A bit on the spicy side with a good kick to all the wonderful flavors.
Hands down the best Indian food in town even with delivery it was very quick and very very good food
Showed up at 3pm and it's closed. Not going to service meals until 5pm. That is my first time ever seen restaurant closed at 3pm and not serving any meals. What a waste of my time and trip to come all the way from Southern of Maryland. I would never come back again after bad impress business.
We go to their buffet lunch specials Mon-Fri for over 4 years, always great service, veriaty of food for veggie and meat lovers, best Tika masala chicken in my opinion
Fresh quality ingredients and reasonably priced buffet around $14. You get to choose from salad, paneer, rice and other dishes. Staff is really friendly and attentive. They refilled my water cup multiple times. Loved this place for and would highly recommend it
Good food not so spicy ,staff was prompt. recommended to all.
OH MY GOD only this 3 words when you eat food here. If you want to eat only tamoto sauce mixed with worst smelling cheese go here. Beware of eating here worst worst worst worst worst worst Indian food I can write infinite worst.
I love the place
Awesome buffet. The food is amazing and has all the right entrees.
Love this place! Food is always full of flavor and staff is on point and treats you like family.
Alwyas excellant
Excellent and affordable fare. Not terribly spicy, which is a big plus for me!
Very tasty Indian food good curry and the lamb was cooked just right. Attentive service, reasonably priced food. I was in the mood for good Indian food and this place totally hit the spot!
Taste authentic
I went for the lunch buffet on a Sunday. Very good, authentic North Indian spread at $12.95. The food was warm and freshly made. The wait staff was very attentive. Will definitely return. Keep up the great work!
Their spicy butter chicken was DELICIOUS & lamb was great! First time going to an Indian restaurant & sure won't be my last. Great food & service!
Raaga is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Every time I try another place, I always come back to Raaga. The food is great, the service is always good. There's a ninja that fills your water glass when you're not looking. We usually go for dinner, but the lunch buffet is really good too. It always includes hot, fresh naan bread. I love their butter chicken and lamb dishes.
Love the Indian buffet. Of course it's the chicken Tikka masala with naan
The lunch buffet has a nice variety & inexpensive for what you get.
Good buffet , I liked the taste.Giving one less star because of the AC. It was really hot out there.
While the staff and place are nice, the food lacks the spiciness the Indian food is about.
I used to work just down the street from the restaurant and I visited the restaurant al least once weekly. The food is good and the service is kind. I have always been treated kindly by the staff and have held lunch meetings with guest from across the nation. Everyone has always commented that they enjoyed the meal. On several occasions guest had never tasted Indian food, and have now come to love it. The lunch buffet is an excellent selection that changes daily and is a great deal for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always fresh food and good service
Hidden gem — this place is great!! The service, selection & quality of food is fantastic, plus it’s very reasonably priced. I recommend their lunch buffet!
We visited this restaurant during our trip to D.C last week. Hotel ambience is nice. All the items we ordered are very tasty. We ordered Baingan Bharta,Malai Kofta and Mixed Vegetable Korma with bread. They are really delicious. Thank you for serving us delicious meal after long day to DC.Please Keep up the same standards.
I love their food
Nice food
Without a doubt, best Indian food in NOVA! Their buffet is amazing! Excellent value for the money and great service.
Food was absolutely delicious and service was great. We went for the weekend buffet and it was a wide array of dishes that were well balanced in flavor. You get an assortment of chicken, lamb, veggie and goat for a really good price. I definitely plan to go back.
So disappointed in my last visit here. I've been coming here regularly for years, but this last experience may be my last. The service was terrible/very inattentive. The chicken mom was so incredibly spicy that it was inedible; it almost made me wretch. The "chef's special" laccha bread was awful -- tasted like cardboard. The palak chat was good. I'm not sure what's happened to this place -- maybe it was just an off night or maybe they have a new (inexperienced) person in the kitchen. Whatever the case, it was awful. I'll give it another chance, just because it has been one of my fave Indian places for years; but if there's a repeat of tonight, I'll cross it off my list for good. :(
Enjoyed Indian food
Went for buffet, price is 13$. Lamb curry, Naan and butter chicken is good. Onion Pakora is so tatsy.
Went a couple of times, Nice Nepalese/Indian Lagers they serve with appetizers. Roti, Chicken Makhni was good, on the sweeter, milder side. Wait staff is pleasant and nice ambiance.
The food is always very good Sometimes some missing when you order on phone so check it. Sometimes good not ready for the pick up.
An excellent lunch buffet, and great service. Finding out about allergies was easy as well.
Always a good Indian meal and a good service
I just love this restaurant. The goat curry they served the goat curry, the quality says it all. The bathroom are clean, the staff was courteous. This was my first visit with my friends and I would love to visit the restaurant again
Food was good and authentic. Service was good. Nice quiet environment. There were a few Nepalese items - intetesting.
Best for takeout or door delivery.. food taste so good when it was delivered to door than dine in
Would surely recommend visiting this place. Exceptional atmosphere, yummy dishes, good customer service. Fantastic work.
Service is good but food is not good at all.also prices are very high.
Fantastic Indian. A lot of the usual dishes plus a few favorites that are not run of the mill. Excellent breads. A great deal for lunch/brunch. Definitely veg-friendly. Been going here at least once a month for years.
Very good Imdian cuisine at a fair price.
Walked into the restaurant closed to closing time yet the service was fantastic. Food was great. Tasted authetic and not sort of prepackaged food. They also have seating outside. I have never seen an Indian restaurant with outside seating. Definitely recommend. One thing that could be better is the bread. Home made please.
We went for the lunch buffet. Presentation of the food was awesome and staff was very attentive filling water glasses and taking a way used plates just after they were finished. The food was all delicious and best of all there was no naan on the bar it was made fresh and brought to the table this alone make the experience notable. Will return.
Weekend buffet is too small. Very few options and even the taste is not good.
Great place, really good food. The goat curry was succulent. Good choice for not the ordinary taste.
Nope
Good place for indian food
The last guy reviewing Raga clearly had unique issues. Excellent food and service.for the last 20 years now. Today was Valentine's Day and they did a super job. As always.
Amazing food, great service, nice atmosphere!! Definitely going to be coming back a lot and maybe checking out the lunch buffet in the future.
Would have given this place 5 stars if it were on the basis of food alone. For the food here is fantastic! Truly north indian flavored dishes in great quantity. There is a distinct taste of mustard oil. However, i'm downgrading the place soley because of their attitude during closing time. Even if we reach the place 15 minutes before closing, they are in a big rush to fend off customers. I got this reaction twice from them and would not recommend it to others because of it. Managers and servers should be more courteous to their customers.
my favorite Indian restaurant so far in DC & VA area
Our search for a good Indian Restaurant in Falls Church ends here, we loved the assorted plater with perfectly juicy, spicy and delicious meat kababs and veg pakoda. Followed by special Biryani recommend by staff..just follow staff as they know what cooked to perfection on any day...yes..shall visit again
Clean and neat. Good ambience and friendly staff. Good indian food and its tasty. I would recommend to try it once.
Elegant restaurant with good ambience with good and quality food at normal rates
This is hands down, the best Indian food you can find in and around this area. I have been to various Indian restaurants at various price ranges and review scores, upto some very self proclaimed high end places in DC but nothing has come even close to matching the perfect blend of flavours that Raaga imparts to its dishes. The portion sizes are very generous and you will usually have enough for a whole second meal. Without a doubt my go-to Indian restaurant! The ambiance is very warm and cozy, the place is clean, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Plus they give you extra raitha when you get take out biryani! That's five stars in my book!! That's all I've got to say about the place, go give it a try, take your friends and relatives, you won't be disappointed!
We had a best goat biryani at this restaurant and my daughter relished the taste.
It’s not Indian food it. It looks like Indian food.
Some of the best Indian food in the area. This place is always great. Love the tikka masala and the saag.
Order lamb chops and goat curry both are terrible.
Disappointed the way I was seated food not cooked right. They were about to close and the waiter guy wait blue shirt what I was asking from waitress he was saying something in Urdu and then she was saying no. It was horrible f*******
Buffet is good value, food is average, nothing to write home about.
Buffet was limited. Roti's were soft and the food was good.
Best Indian restaurant in northern VA
I went around noon, had the lunch buffet. Very delicious food. Staff could be a little bit more friendly. But I would definitely visit them again.
The food and ambiance are great!
Excellent...
This was the fourth Indian restaurant which I tried in USA and I must agree that this was the best of them. Starters and the main course was really tasty. The ambiance was excellent. Don't forget to try the Paneer starters here! :)
Best indian food in town
Quality has definitely taken a tumble. It used to be our little hangout place for Indian food, not so much now.
The taste is no at all authentic . Shahi paneer was sweet as tomato soup.
Had a nice lunch here with a friend. Food was fresh. Typical Indian buffet selections with freshly baked naan. Attentive, friendly staff.
Food is good, service is nice !
Good food, great service, modest prices.
We’ve been going to Raaga for weekend lunch buffets for years. Never disappointed, food is always hot and fresh. Delicious and inexpensive. Highly recommend coming.
Excellent buffet here. Food taste like home cooked meal. I wish they had more meat curry than chicken tikka masala in the buffet. May be they do in different days. Will have to check it out.
Ordered take out. It was ready for us when we arrived. Food was excellent. Great seasonings, tender fat and gristle free chicken and lamb. Some of the best Indian that we have had. recommend
The restaurant seems average from outside and it doesn’t catch your eyes because of the location but it is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been. We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken korma for dinner with garlic naan. I liked that the food was spicy enough to feel like you are eating Indian food, they had spicy sauce as a side if you wanted your food to be extra spicy.
Just Paid $19 to order chicken tikka masala on Uber eats and it’s gross. I’m very sad and wish I could get a refund. The sauce is overly sweet, it has no tang and tastes like something other than chicken tikka masala. It tastes so bad that I don’t even want to finish it despite how much I paid. Now I’m just sad and hungry for the rest of the day
Very tasty Indian food at a reasonable price.
While I went to this restaurant for lunch buffet, my friend ordered an entree which is double of the price of buffet. When a server brought the food, he almost dropped it because he was careless and rude. He delivered the food like my friend was a dog. It is not acceptable and will never visit this place. For foods though, lunch buffet price is okay for the quality and tastes. They don’t deserve $18-$20 entree for their quality.
Best Indian food in town.
The lunch buffet at Raaga had very good vegetarian options on my visit. Consistent with the reviews I read before visiting, the dishes I ate were well-seasoned. The thick "Vegetable Curry" was uncommonly good. In addition to curries, including a dal, the buffet included a good salad, a dessert, fresh fruit, and a basket of fresh, warm naan. I am stingy with five-star ratings, but my lunch at Raaga was a very positive experience in the context of all Indian lunch buffets in the U.S. with which I have experience.
I like this restaurant. I ate in but they do a ton of delivery business. I thought that eating in was nice. They have a white table cloth set up, it's quiet and the lighting is low and subtle. I ordered a Lamb Vindaloo and while it was a little light on the spiciness I was expecting, the flavor was superb. There was a tone of lamb, and still plenty of potatos. Not too many though, it was a perfect ratio. The naan bread was just right as well. I think I will be eating here again. Great food and excellent atmosphere.
This is my go to place when I'm craving Indian food. I've had the saag gosht and lamb rogan josh and they were both the best I've clever had. The garlic naan was hot and fresh. Service is fast and friendly. Wish this place was closer to where I live.
Fantastic gem, great service and amazing food. We have tried this place based on a Groupon offer we have bought and by far has been the best restaurant around Bailey's Crossroad area. Highly recommend it
Great lunch buffet
I read one review that their stuff was rude hmm I disagree they are very kind and deliver great service. Food is wonderful! Thank you :)
One of my favorites for lunch buffet.
Hey everyone.. I come here at 5 pm and the restaurant was just reopen..my family and I have been received with so polite and nice staff.. I have orderd chicken Tikka Masala with butter, chicken korma (love it), briyani shrimp and chicken and assoetd breads.it was so delicious Indian food ever here also its rish and plenty of food.. Engorge you all to try it.. Thanks
Quickie Buffet Lunch with daughter. Food was tasty (more veggie options please)
Excellent chicken tikka masala and breads. Most dishes are very good, with a great variety of flavors.
I usually don't complain about local businesses unless there is a valid excuse. So I have been dinning at Raaga for more than 15 years. I don't have food related complaints, however I received one of their flyers and called in to order food to go. First the conversation was not friendly, Second I am reading the options from the flyer and the guy does NOT want to honor that, ($5 off carry out and vegetable of the day were both in the flyer) so he sold me the same food and said we don't do discount on carry out without side vegetables. I honestly didn't want to argue and will talk to the owner next time I see him.
Authentic Indian Restaurant. Have Halal food option.
I use to come here often but stopped. Their food is delicious however when you order carry out their serving portion is very small. They don't fill up the containers. They give you half filled food and say that's the size. Also I order the dessert and sometimes I get 2 cottage cheese and other times 3. Which one is it? This time around I had to express my concern for paying $25 and getting half filled container. Seriously even upscale restaurants in Tysons give you the fair amount of food for what you are paying. I am a big foodie I don't mind spending on it if it's served fairly. Beside that the food is good. They just need to serve customers fairly when it comes to Carry out.
I have had food twice here, first was buffet which was a bad experience in itself since they make the food for every taste but thougt to try A la cartè and I think this would be my last here or anyone I would recommend. I would have probably rated it 1 for the food but since it was the overall experience, i would rate it as 2. The food was anything else but not even close to Indian. If you are fond of Dal makhani and tempt to eat that, don’t even try this place. It’s not even made with the lentils it is supposed to be made from. When asked from the staff is this Dal Makhani as it does not taste like it, the reply is ‘this is how it is made here’., but not Indian. Anyway good part was that the staff allowed without reservation, hence rating as 2.
Always a great meal with fine service. We especially love the Chicken Tika Masala/Butter Chicken and curried cauliflower. White table cloths make it seem fancier that it is.
Waste and tasteless food. If anyone is looking for indian type of food it’s better to avoid this restaurant. It seem to me that they are serving same gulab jamuns since three days, not fresh and good. Waste of money.
I am not a connoisseur so keep that in mind. I don't remember what the red or orange chicken is called, but those are my favorites. They are great here. Prices are reasonable, and the service is attentive. Good place.
I have mixed review of this restaurant. I had ordered a glass of red wine. When the waiter brought it to me it wasn't cooled down, but instead was warmer than room temp. Way less than Halfway through i started to taste something different and had my friends who are expert in wine try it. They said it tasted different. I called the waiter over who was incredibly disrespectful when I asked to see the bottle. He said "you already drank most of It". I thought that was very rude and demanded to see the wine bottle. He brought me a bottle that had very little poured out and couldn't have been the original . I will upload pictures. My friends said that a possiblility was that and old bottle and new could have been mixed together. The food here is normally decent, however the food wasn't great at all. They used the same curry in there different entrees. The daal was also missing salt. We were trying different restaurants for a large event and this place will NOT be getting our 500 people order. I would say this place is fine for fast Indian food on the go.
Daughter loved it
Had the lunch buffet on a Sunday, very good. Selection is solid if not amazingly large. Tandoori chicken particularly good. Chicken tikka masala sauce is a bit on the tomato rich side, doubtless a regional thing. Naan brought to your table right from the oven : delicious. Will definitely be going back.
There luncheon buffet features a wide variety. And they are one of the few restaurants and the DC area that serve pea and potato Curry (Aloo Muttar). It is served with an authentic Indian curry and not a tomato-based sauce. It is mild even though the flavor of spices come through well.
This place has an amazing lunch buffet for about $11. Honestly, it's one of the best deals around. Unlimited salad, chicken, curry, rice, fresh fruit, vegetables, rice pudding, etc. Don't miss it!
We are vegetarian. The choices are excellent. Food is great and service is adequate. Spicy but not crazy-spicy. Always leave full and satisfied. Busy - call ahead in evenings.
Less choices in Buffet. Tasteless food.
Great goat curry
Very limited choices to eat in Sunday afternoon
I really enjoyed this indian buffet. Great customer service and the food was fresh. There was also lamb available on the buffet, which I don't often see as a buffet option, especially for a reasonable price.
Amazing food! Every dish we ordered turned out yummie! Try the goat biriyani...!!!
For authentic Indian family dining this is an excellent option including for the vegetarians. Convenient location, good service as well.
Chicken biryani is very mediocre. Servers are very professional but the biryani i tried didn't live up to my expectations.
Excellent lunch buffet.. service great... food scrumptious.
I travel to Virginia once a month for business and always make time for a stop at Raaga. Excellent food and great service. The naan is always fresh out of the oven and the people have a genuine sense of hospitality.
Excellent food. Going there tonight hopefully the food is still excellent. I ordered the Curry Chicken.
Average lunch buffet for a good price
Had a dinner here. Expected better food and service for this price.
Been here for dinner a few times and the food is great every single time. Service is excellent as well. We always had pleasant experience!
I had salmon curry and enjoyed it. Cheese naan was also really good. Very attentive service - constantly refilling water glasses, etc. I live in the area and do plan to come back here.
Delicious and affordable lunch buffet.
Good Food but really bad service. They were rude and kept staring at you while you got food. And took the kids food while he was eating which made him cry
Excellent Buffett. Naan bread is always hot and fluffy. One of the best Chicken Tikka Masala I have tried. Definitely recommend and will visit again.
It is nearby Hibachi restaurant. Indian food is available for tourists doing Washington tour from Newyork
Great place for lunch buffet. I recommend coming in Sunday for the goat curry.
Horrible experience ever!!! I have been here with my family for buffet lunch at noon. I asked for an extra chair for kid but staff treated us in a rude manner. Kitchen closing time was 3pm and we reached restaurant around 2.15pm . When we started having lunch, staff started to clean the table and closed food items though time was still 2.30pm. We stopped them from closing as it was not 3pm yet. Staff behaved in a rude manner forcing us to give more tips. At last my father asked for water which they refused to give it saying we have given less tips. This behavior was not expected from them. And I have been visiting this restaurant for many times and this experience made me to think that it is going to be my last visit. I WILL NOT SUGGEST THIS RESTAURANT TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS EVER...
I been to a lot of restaurants and saw the reviews for this restaurant which was good and thought should go, I went with my family and it was such a great place, romantic environment, great customer service, delicious food and everything was awesome. 5*****!
