Amazing food.
Great Sunday breakfast
Great! Family restaurant, wonderful Greek food. Delicious tsatziki, highly recommended.
I really wanted this place to be great and had high hopes because of the reviews. Unfortunately the food was pretty bland and over-priced. Probably won't be back.
We were looking for an Italian Restaurant near me and this popped up on my phone. Myself, my mother and my daughter all stopped in for dinner on a Friday. The place was almost full even though its probably big enough to fit 100+ people. I ordered the Lasagna, mother ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs, daughter had the Chicken Strips and Fries. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We were seated quickly, and our waiter came and got are drinks quickly. After ordering the kids food and our salads came in about 7 minutes and our main dishes came about another 15 minutes after. Staff was on point and very polite. I have to say I will be going back again and very soon!
This place is the Best.
This is probably the worst food I ever had it had no taste the pasta was yellow and the pizza was flappy and was very burnt the fries were ok and the chicken was also.Dont go there you will want to hurt people
It was great food. High quality from pizza to pasta to cookies. I will always stop by if I’m in the area. Highly recommended.
This place is a really good destination for lunch and dinner. It has a variety of food options to choose from. This establishment's restrooms are fine and in good condition. However, you have to walk a long condensed corridor to get to it.
Primo is at one end of a row of stores in Belle View Shopping Center. This is a busy shopping center. However, I did not have too much trouble finding a parking space, even at midday. This restaurant appears to have strong connections to the community. The walls of the long hallway leading back to the restrooms are covered in notes, articles, and letters from locals. I ordered the Greek Gyro. I picked the sandwich, not the platter, because I didn't think I needed to eat that much. However, it was a pretty big gyro. Pretty good too. The meat was well-seasoned and the gyro had an adequate quantity of sauce and veggies. Service was rather good too. I liked that they came around to refill the water glasses without being asked. My only gripe would be that menu prices seemed generally on the high side. I'm not from the DC Metro area so for all I know, those prices may not actually be out of line.
First time in here was last week, but we liked the meatball subs and the service was good. Nice family atmosphere for a change from the fast food chains. I'm not a foodie, but I know what I like. They have a good menu so we'll be back again.
Tasty food at fair prices. When in the neighborhood, I head to Primo.
Great food and great service. We love going to Primos!!!!
We've only been here once, but we thought it was pretty good food and great service. We'd definitely recommend this place for anyone to go to. The restaurant is a lot bigger than we thought. From the outside it looks very small, but once we opened the doors, it is very spacious and plenty of room.
A nice dinner with family. Kid friendly
Jimmie the owner does such a welcoming greeting. That is rare nowadays. Service was superior and the food delicious. I recommend this restaurant to other diners!
One of our favorite places for a good quick dinner. Staff, owner are really nice people
Best Pizza in the town hands down. Always fresh and tasty. I usually end up eating couple of pieces on a carryout before I reach home. Their sit-in-dine restaurant is also famous for variety of Italian dishes. Love their custards and "half price wine Wednesday". Must try.
A must have pizza.
Honestly, this place is an American treasure. It can be hard to find great food with fresh ingredients these days, and Primos always has the best. I've never had a bad meal here. Trust me, you will love it.
Great pizzas. The hummus is impressive. Solid 4.5 star food. Diner like atmosphere, although they have a full service bar. The service is excellent.
If you are in NOVA go check out the best Italian food in the area! Jim and his staff are amazing and provide exceptional service with a great and relaxing, family atmosphere. Thank you, Alachua County Safety Patrols
Took three bus loads of school kids here. Very good pizza. Very friendly staff. Jim the owner was very helpful. Looks more like a corporate owned place, but it is not. Very fast service.
This restaurant over the last couple of years has just became a common neighborhood place to go.
Great food and friendly service.
Primo's is our go to spot for pizza, the Italian dinners are surprisingly good!
Family oriented Italian/Greek dinner. I loved the Fried calamari with lemon, the pizza and Greek salad. The Quiche is to die for.
Best restaurant in dc, Best napkins in the world
This is the first five stars I have given. This is definitely an amazing place to eat. The staff is kind and generous. Every time we asked for something, they answered with a smile on their face and quickly came back with what we asked for. The food was lovely and definitely my favorite place I ate on my trip. The definitely have something for everyone on the menu. I hope I can visit DC sometime soon and eat here again. I definitely recomed it.
Was one of the absolute worst restaurants ive ever been to went there with a school tour group the employees were super mean telling us to sit down and shut up. The food was also unbearably bad. The salad was basically a soup of olive oil. The pizza was super chewy and soaked in grease and the pasta was bland and it was so overcooked it fell apart in your mouth. If I could rate 0 stars I would.
Italian and Greek food restaurant. Food is only ok. Prices are not terrible, but place feels like a diner.
Pizza was great and the kids loved the breakfast options. Not a fan of their hash browns. Gyro meat is awesome.
What a gem. We were here from out of town and Primo happened to be fairly close to our hotel. What a great experience! The food was fabulous(mix of Italian and Mediterranean food) and the staff were friendly and quick. The place was packed and I understand why.
Bad customer service. It is not kid friendly. I’ve had better food from a dumpster. I mean really the pizza was served in soup, grease soup. In conclusion don’t eat here unless you want to be sick to your stomach
I have been going to Primo in Alexandria for over 15 years. If you have a family and want good food, go to Primo. Many thanks to all who work at Primo. You are THE BEST!
I found a dead salamander in my ham pizza but then comforted when i realized it gave it an extra flavor.
Family oriented. Great comfort food. Friendly, attentive staff
The food was so delicious it was so delicious that I threw up 5 times and cried my self to sleep because i got a tape worm and had to go to the hospital
Grew up with Primos being a few doors down. Recently travelled back home, after 20 years and had a delicious gyro, pizza and gained some childhood memories. Hope to go back soon!
We came here with a tour group of 30 people. The food came out fast, fresh and hot served family style for our group. We got the pizza, chicken tenders, fries, pasta and salad. We were all commenting on how good everything tasted. It was all yummy!
I give it four stars for what it is, and that is a family neighborhood restaurant. The food is not bad, but I recommend you go for the atmosphere. It is a nice plane to have dinner, especially if you live in the neighborhood. The pizza is actually very good. Much better than anywhere else nearby.
Wonderful place!
Great little spot with a neighborhood feel! The food is good, the staff is great, and the owner is super friendly. It sometimes gets busy with tour bus traffic, which isn't a problem except when it gets hard to get a seat. Highest recommendation.
Consistent high quality food, great service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
Awesome
Amazing food and lots of it! Would go again if I visit DC again!
This place is extremely terrible. The food was not as said in the description and I am very disappointed.
The food is amazing. The quality of this is astounding. The people are super nice. This is a great place
Haven't dined there in awhile. I will put it back in my rotation. Good food, fast and friendly service and you get what you pay for. Look forward to a return visit soon!
Love their chicken dishes, especially the one sauteed with lemon and artichokes. Pleasant atmosphere. Good wait staff.
This is one of the best places in town to go. Good food, good service. They have a separate section for carry out. Make sure you try some of their custard!
It smelled gtreat inside. I didn't expect my pasta sauce to look like pureed tomatoes and there was no Parmesan cheese at the tables nor did they ask if we wanted any. Honestly, it was like we were still in the 60's or 70's.
The moment we walked in we we’re treated with respects and kindness. The food was amazing and I highly recommend coming here with your family!
We had been walking our dog at the nearby Dykes Marsh Nature Preserve and happened to find this gem. It has 2 outdoor tables that I don't think guests regularly dine at, but they happily accommodated us without question. We were able to dine alfresco with our dog which was great. They even brought out some bacon for the dog. The food for the humans was also excellent!!
I love primos. Excellent food, filled with variety, and good service. Great place to bring kids, and a clean healthy environment.
One of the first things that stuck out to me was all the patches on the walls, representing police departments from around the country. I was talking to the owner, and said he is always expanding his collection whenever he meets someone from a new department. The guy is one of the nicest people I personally have met, and if you are in the police, fire department, or armed forces they will always be proud to serve you The food is great, the family deeply cares about it's customers. I had fettuccini alfredo and it was indeed the finest I've had in a long time. Thank you to all the staff, you deliver good food fast, and I can't wait to sup in your restaurant again.
THOSe GYROS THO00000OOooooo
My wife and I live down the street and have been here many times. What prompted my 5 star review was the recent improvement they made to the restaurant. Updated menus, new signage, green straws, and I’m sure improvements to the kitchen. A warm family vibe, and prompt service. I am always surprised when I get the check but it never discourages me from visiting again. Personally I love the Sunday mornings when Primos is full with older couples and friends enjoying breakfast. It’s just so wholesome.
I have been coming here sin e the 1980s. Great!
This place stinks and it's tables are uneven I would only come here to eat fries
Disappointed in that their prices have gone up so much. Quality of food is okay and service is okay. Jimmy should give a discount on his regular customers. 15% on A certain day of the week or something. He's getting the bus traffic now so he doesn't care about the rest of us who keep him in business the rest of the year.
Outstanding food and service.
Service can be a bit slow. The pizza is good. But everyone is always welcoming.
The best family style restaurant in the area, good pizza, pasta, Greek food, nice house wines, beer, friendly manager, staff, clean, good with kids...
Loved the food. Service was very good. A bit pricey though. Oh, and I can't forget the frozen custard. It was delicious.
They hosted our 6th graders from St. Patrick's School, Troy, Oh
Great food
Food on your table soon after you sit down. Spaghetti, salad, and their fresh bread is awesome! Nice ambiance! Owner is superb! We love our favorite awesome waiter, Marvin. Down home feel. You never leave hungry. Plated portions are hefty.
One of the three best pizza places in Northern Virginia in my opinion. The eggs Benedict is my go to for Sunday brunch.
This is a good family place. The food is good and the wait staff is friendly. Their breakfast omelettes are served all day. The portions are fit for a very hungry man. We visit them for brunch on occasion. Their Bloody Mary's are delicious but they do not serve Mimosas. Ice Cream and Pizza seem to be the best things on the menu, in my opinion.
The breakfast was decent, but there weren't any non-pork meat options (e.g., turkey or chicken sausage; turkey bacon, etc.).
Guy yelled at me “DONT YELL IN MY DINING ROOM” when I was talking to my friend in a regular voice, not to mention the food. The pizza was extremely bad and no refills were achieved, in conclusion I would recommend the CVS next door over this monstrosity of a restaurant.
Ordered pizza, mushrooms, ham, and pineapple. Waitress repeated order back to me. Pizza arrived looking as tasty as ever. By the second slice I realized something did not taste right. No pineapple, but pepperoni. Mentioned the mistake to the waitress, was asked if I wanted some pineapple on the side. The pepperoni was charged for, but she removed the soda. I love this place, but not this visit.
Food excellent
Excellent! The food was great! They treated my group like they were family!
Our Favorite place to eat. Love Thursday Liver and onion day. Best anywhere. Love Sunday Breakfast. Jimmy Always makes us feel Special and welcome. The Staff is Great. Anyone that don't eat here is missing a lot. Happy New Year. AnnaMae and Angelo Zangla
40 minutes for a carry out pizza is too long for me (and 15 minutes longer than I was told it would be when I ordered).
The best icetea in town in fact all over The whole world and the waiter and Waitresses are all extra caring to Your dining pleasure. And I love the penny pasta when in season. The Prices have changed from very low To very very very very high; the owner Has no kids menu and I feel so so Sorry for there parents when they Come in and see no menu for the Kids and the prices; $18.00 for a Plate of spaghetti with salad what Is the owner thinking of; the owner Warned us about the prices but we Didn't realize they were going to be That high. The new menus r Beautiful ❤️ but at the prices we Have to pay for our new dishes is Ridiculous. The staff r still nice; Especially the one by the name - Of Martin who is the waiter a really Really nice one to but, I just can't Get over the high prices and no Kids menus. That's ridiculous
Came in with 120+ people and the food was amazing, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Portions are very generous. Thank you from Mt Horeb school for having us for lunch today!! Highly recommend for large tour groups. Thank you!!
Reliable Greek Italian family restaurant. Gyros are quite good.
They were really nice. I went with my WorldStrides group and it was excellent service
Yes, the sandwiches are great, breakfast all day on Sunday fantastic, the spanakopita excellent, but what pizzas! Don't forget to try the frozen custard! It's outstanding even during the winter!
Good food and excellent service
We moved to the area six months ago and have been enjoying a weekly dinner at Primo ever since. The service is prompt and pleasant, the food is consistent "diner" quality. The salads are always fresh and the Greek & Italian specialties are good comfort food. We take our toddler son and always feel welcome and comfortable...very "kid friendly" environment.
there was syrup on my potatoes with veggies.
Primo's a friendly family local restaurant. The staff are a decent bunch, and the photos and plaques on the walls show that the owners and staff have a long, long-standing commitment to the community, including supporting youth sports teams, local police and fire departments, and generally being involved with social organizations. And the pizza is especially good too.
Hate to say it, but not what it used to be. Menu has changed, and in my opinion not for the better, and the prices are too high for what you are receiving. Service is good, as it always has been, but miss the old menu and selection, and again - the prices are in all honesty ridiculous for what you are getting. Been a loyal customer for over 30 years, and I truly hate to say it, but those days are probably in the rearview mirror now.
We came here for lunch. My fiancè had the Meatball Sub with French Fries. I had the Gyro Platter and drank Ginger Ale, very delicious and fulfilling too.
Went will a large school group and the service is amazing. Food had nothing to complain about.
This place is amazing. Came with my 8th grade class for trip from california and had an amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend. We were treated so well and service was amazing. I think his name is phillip, but he was an amazing worker here and he helped us while there were customers in the other room. Food was amazing, so was the service, so please come and eat here!
Love this place! Jimmy and his staff are wonderful. Good portions great prices. We eat here at least once a week!
Good food, really knows how to serve groups well.
The food was in tip-top shape the food and water was scrumptious the tables were perfect the silverware was extra siLvery, also THE CUPS WERE SO GOOD VERY STABLE PIECES OF MACHINERY
I love their breakfast!...Jimmy and the staff are great. The food is wonderful and made in the restaurant. Highly recommend the daily specials
Excellent for fast food store restaurant. Don't go there for the wine or ambience. It's very casual but excellent dishes.
Food was great. All of it came out really quickly. Would recommend to anybody who wants quick Italian. 5/5
We like Primo a lot - good comfortable food, excellent service - but it's not haute cuisine, hence 3 stars. We're most likely to order the chicken salad plate - a tasty filling bargain - or the excellent pizza, but the Greek food is very good, the frozen custard and rice pudding are fine, and drinks - wine or Martini, for instance - are reasonable. Omelets on Sunday are delicious. Many of the wait staff have been there for years, and service is prompt and attentive. I would echo others' good comments and ignore the digs.
The service is great and the food is even better. With every item they brought out it still had that fresh made smell. I strongly recommend eating here
We are from out of state visiting the Capitol. We had reserved for a group of 45 people. When our bus pulled up there was staff waiting outside to greet us and take us to the room. We had good waiting for us and it was delicious!!! Amazing, top-notch service and delicious and filling food. I highly recommend Primo's to anyone!
This is a neighborhood restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. The service is always good and the staff is friendly. I particularly like the pizza and salads but the menu has a good variety of options.
Great place! They make you feel like home.
Until recently my family were regulars there. Ate three at least 3 times a month and loved every time. Very welcoming staff and the owner would always stop by to say hi. Food choices are great and the quality was good. Great for 2 people or a group of people.
Been here several times. Always satisfactory. Pizza, pasta, great sandwiches. Highly recommend. Picture is in the carryout area.
Called them said my name was Muhammad and asked for their menu and hours the guy that picked up the phone called me a terrorist and said they do not give any info over the phone to terrorist. I should call Washington d.c.
I haven't been to this restaurant for 15 years and the food is still delicious. The host and the waitress were excellent.
great family eatery. not the best location but it's in the neighborhood! bread was so delicious!
Love this place. Great family environment and tasty dishes.
I tasted their food for the first time yesterday and must say it is pretty good. I tried the Greek gyro which was tasty and plentiful. I also ordered an Italian dish and chicken tenders for kids. I did not get to try their dine-in option, but the restaurant looked like a simple family owned Greek style restaurant. Issues I had that made me leave 3 stars rather than 4 stars are the pricing on some dishes are very expensive for a carry-out style restaurant in the area. There are several competitors in the area such as Pisanos or Pizza Bolis that have similar tasty dishes but cheaper. Not a big deal if you don't mind paying the premium, but i did not notice a difference in premium food versus the food from some other Italian restaurants with take-out options. Last, the packaging did not make sense was was the biggest disappointment. The salad was pre-dressed already making it soggy once I got home and ate it later. They should consider giving you dressing on the side like most take-out establishments. Also, the Greek Gyro platter was stuffed in one box (Lamb, pita, yogurt sauce, salad, fries) making the fries soggy and wet and a waste of food as I had to throw it away. Food is good, just beware of prices and how the food may be packaged. Asked that your salad dressing is placed on the side and fries are placed in a separate container.
