This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Irish restaurant.
Loved it here. Food was wonderful and the people were really fun! Met the owner who was a real cool chap. We we’re in town on business and loved it here.
This place is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I prefere it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. everytime I I need a good supper, this is the place that comes immediately to my head. Great and all sorts of food and a large list of dishes.trained staff members, and agreeable mood. Also important, the charge is modest. I recommend this place with pleasure.
They show the NY Giants games!!!
We went in to enjoy the St Patrick's day festivities. We had a good time and the appetizers were good.
This place is great. I stayed in the area for a couple of weeks and must have come back here 6-7 times or so. I ate my way around the menu and every thing I had was really well done and very tasty. It's great to see a good range of dishes on the menu that include some healthier options and vegetables served alongside a main. The list of beers, wines and spirits is also pretty impressive and there's something for everyone on there I would think. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, food arrived quite quickly with tentative service that wasn't over bearing. Would come here again.
I've been here twice and it's always a disappointment. Extremely slow service at all times of the day and expensive for no reason -- their "famous" bread pudding is a mere 1.5 x 3/4 x 1 inch slab with a lousy scoop of ice cream for $7. Bangers and mash for $16? Come on it's sausage and potatoes!
Great food and drink. Service is wonderful!
Will not be streaming 2019 Rugby World Cup. No longer the Irish Pub it used to be. Shame. SHAME. SHAME.
Good Food and Friendly Service
Sat at bar during happy hour. Took a while before I got served. Typically, I favor Irish bars, but they just didn't get my respect to return. No Irish beers were happy hour priced, that is, that they had available. The token Irish happy beer was sold out. Of course, ended up with a Guinness just the same.
Great music, drinks and friends. "The Relex" will take you back in time to the 80s.
Food is great! Always enjoy our lunches here!
Had the steak greek salad, loved it. Good beer, nice atmosphere, good service, decent prices.
Cold beer, excellent food and great service!
Lunch time service was great, well prepared food, nice atmosphere - not too loud, plenty of space. Menu has different options and while it's probably not exactly for people on the diet - salads are decent and not oversized. Onion soup was also good, plenty of TV screens and plenty of parking spaces.
Great joint with a proper Guinness pour. Friendly staff and large menu. Parking can be a bit challenging.
Good time, drinks and dancing and football on every TV
Great food and an excellent beer selection.
great happy hour and cornbeef rolls
Great food- horrible service. Our server checked up on us every 20 minutes. I wouldn’t come here if you’re on any time constraints. The food was especially good but the service was not worth it.
Nice irish dishes
Classic Irish Pub, great food, great spot to catch the game
Good food, good beer, good service. Lots of TV's and outdoor seating.
U can call it real bar
This is one of my go to bars! Great staff and great beer selection. Owner is almost always there and they have a great weekend line up for people who want to dance and party!!
Great selection of beer and Irish Whiskey. Love the Guinness Stew!
Nice selection of beers, big portions, and friendly staff.
Been a while since I've been here and I'm pleasantly surprised on the return. Food and drink selections much better.
Great Shepard's Pie.
I will not be returning here. We walked in and the sign said "please seat yourself" so we did. we waited for about 15 minutes, i got up and stood by the bar and waved my arms, someone finally saw me, when i got back to my seat she walked over to wipe tables down, didn't even notice us. fast forward another 5 minutes and our server showed up, wasn't very pleasant and kinda rushed us. The food was not great, not terrible, but not "mm that was good" either, more bland, over cooked and dry. HOW DO YOU MAKE FISH AND CHIPS TASTE AND FEEL DRY? needless to say, we didn't leave a tip and we don't plan on ever coming back, even though we live walking distance.
Part Irish, Part Sports Bar, Part Restaurant with food from typical bar food - often with an Irish twist, Indoor and Outdoor eating, lovely Live Music add a service with a smile and you've Ned Devine's. We love the awesome Shepherd's Pie pictured below (even better than Ma's!), Bangers N Mash (real bangers, so flavorful and moist, also better than home) and the Guinness Stew. Try it!
Love the staff that works at Neds, almost always service with a smile, happy to help.
Surprised by an $8 cover charge for a chain restaurant. Good food and service tho.
Nice place. Basic menu, but good food. Priced right. Attentive staff. I'd go back.
Best Irish bar in Virginia, great staff and excellent food. As a native of the Emerald Isle I’d have to say this is one of the best and most authentic Irish bar I have been to in the US, the craic (fun) is excellent and the staff couldn’t be better. Thank you for some great nights while I was in Virginia, I’ll be back.
Drinks are pretty good. Music was a bit lame but it was a weekday. Friendly bartenders. I actually thing the patio is the best part. Sitting out there on a date can be romantic.
Great place to have a beer after work or drink the night away on a Saturday night! Awesome atmosphere awesome staff! I love watching the live bands as well almost as good as a concert venue. Also hung out here with some friends on New Year's Eve, everyone I was with had a great time! (I can't really comment on lunch or the food I'm always visiting evenings for drinks)
Reflex was awesome band!
It's a pretty good Irish bar. The beer selection is great just like the bar tenders. I will be back for some more buffalo chicken eggrolls
Bartenders here do get swamped, but they try their best to help everybody. Been going here for a while and they are always friendly and remember my group. There are free line dancing lessons on Thursdays at 8 and they are spectacular. Great environment, always have a great time here.
Happy hours are great
We always enjoy our time there, the service is great and the food is solid. Sometimes it gets a little crowded and the nightly scene can be a little silly (dancing or trivia night) but it’s a good spot to catch a Capitals game.
I came in an ordered and because of some issues my food came out 45 minutes late. I had the pretzels and the Dublin burger. My pretzels came out cold and the manager Carlos came out and apologized and said he was so sorry and was going to comp my meal. Carlos did a great job in providing a great experience that could have turned out poorly. They take care of their customers and would definitely come back.
Excellent food and staff!
This is our go to bar. Good food, beer selection and specials. Always friendly staff and crowd.
New to the area, first time at Ned Devine's. I had to use the restroom first and saw 3 cockroaches/mold above the sink. I decided to leave and as I was walking out there was a mouse on their outdoor steps that scurried into a crack of the bricks. I ordered nothing and had no service and I wont be back.
Great food, pretty decent Irish pub interior. It was busy but not too crazy when I went, so overall a good experience.
Try the cajun chicken and penne, it's fantastic.
Busy bar, with staff that handles it really well. Prices are decent enough, and the food is good for this kind of pub. Best atmosphere in it's location, with live music and just the right amount of liveliness. Also a great place to meet up with anyone. Just a great bar experience.
I don't normally give a 5 rating but staff was amazing and remembered our names and was very attentive to us definitely a place I love and will visit again. Thanks to all of you
The staff is awesome, the food is on point, and the regulars are simply wonderful. I had my first legal drink here almost 17 years ago, and this has been my go-to spot ever since.
Love this bar. food is unique but good, I got the nachos the chile on the bottom was a little much. The drinks are priced fairly. The servers are on it and great! Bartender was busting out drinks like a true professional
the shepherd's pie was really good
Good food and service, this is a great place to come hang out and watch sports.
UPDATE: I am glady revising my review in order to correct the owner about his/her own establishment. Again Giants Fans -- this is NOT a Giants bar on Sundays. There is most certainly a big screen in the main bar (with that bar taking up 2/3 of the restaurant) and had the Redskins game on. The Giants game was on in a dark, dreary corner of the bar, with yes, 14 HDTV's showing the game. What wasn't mentioned was that all of those TVs are side by side, so unless you're one of the lucky few to get seated directly in front of this wall of TVs you're not seeing the game. There is a miniscule bar serving the back corner with 1 TV and 4 barstools. Above the main Redskins bar there were 2 TVs side by side and both had the Redskins game on with no one watching them. When the bartender was asked to change one of the TVs above the bar we were told (twice) the TVs can't be changed after 1pm. THERE IS NO FULL MENU OFFERED. When the bartender was asked for a menu he presented a card with 10 items on it. When asked about the full menu we were told "this is our menu on game day". Just because there are a few Giants stickers on the wall don't be fooled. It's a Redskins bar being touted as a Giants bar. I'd give it zero stars if I were allowed to.
Carlos (manager) and Bobby (waiter) are really great. They always make sure I get exactly what I order, which is important because I have a gluten allergy. They are also super friendly and have a great sense of humor!
Ned's is a great neighborhood restaurant. Live entertainment is a really nice feature.
Nice place, decent burger.
Live music was good but waitress never came back to us. We left after an hour of waiting.
Great staff!! Never had an issue here. Food is on point.
Awesome place to watch sports. As a Giants fan I love the fact that they have a room dedicated to them and no matter where your sitting you will always be able to see the game. Along with the regular menu they offer game day specials and you can't go wrong with any drink you order. The bar staff is always ready to help you.
I like this place. I usually go there during the happy hour. I like the music and ambiance here. It’s quit refreshing to be there. I enjoy the food over there as well.
I was thinking of giving this place less stars but the manager saved their arse. We got there at 9pm on Fri and there were lots of customers eating and drinking. We started to go in but we're stopped by a bouncer type that wanted a $10 cover for the band. There was no band. It was scheduled to start at 10pm. I told him we were getting dinner and were going to leave after we ate. He wouldn't budge. I stalled the line and gave him a hard time until the manager came up and said don't worry about it. I told him that if we stayed I would gladly pay the cover. Long story short...we did not stay for the band. Wife ordered the berry salad...supposed to have blueberries and raspberries and strawberries. It ended up being just two strawberries sliced and lettuce. My wife works in the industry and always gives the benefit of the doubt, but this time sent back the salad. Literally it was just lettuce and two sliced strawberries. I got the Buffalo rolls which were fine. I also got the croquettes (sp?). They were corned beef and bread and cheese I guess. They were good but very heavy. One of those things where if you eat too many you feel bad afterward. The beer was good. The atmosphere was lively. Almost too crowded since we sat at the bar and folks kept edging in to order drinks, but good for them.....making money and being a successful bar/restaurant. Sometimes that is not so easy to accomplish. Since the vegetarian options are so limited and because of the screw ups, we likely will not be back but you should go.
Average service. Ok prices. I might try the food sometime the service is good.
Nice place, good music and friendly service. Lots of space and Patio for smokers. Wud recommend for a huge party as well as a nice date. Foods good too.
Update: after re-visiting, I still encountered an unusual taste in the soda lines here (I ordered a soda water, just to be certain). It's definitely different from all the other restaurants/bars in the area, but having paid a lot more attention, it's probably not a cleanliness/mold issue. Rather, the odd taste is rubber or plastic. Something about the lines here I'm not a big fan of. Still, it's not a one-star. The burgers are pretty good and if you're drinking beer or whiskey this might not be an issue for you.
I like Ned's. My ribeye sandwich total was not good however. The place needs a facelift but has character and a good staff. I will be back but never getting that sandwich again
Fun place to hear banda
Great irish bar. Food and service were great
Best irish experience in Dulles area
Untied Airlines over-booked our flight so we had to stay the night near the Washington Dulles Airport. Decided to grab a cab for $11.15 from the Hilton Dulles Airport and check this place out. Great atmosphere and good food. I tried the Shepherds Pie and have no complaints! The small size was plenty for one meal with no left-overs. Live music and the singer had a great voice with a variety of genres played.
Was advertised as the best Irish pub around. If that is the case, competition is weak. Food was not bad, but I wasn't blown away either. Price is a little to steep for its quality. The biggest issue was service. It took almost 10 minutes to get our drinks, and refills were practically nonexistent.
Hostess greeted us with "can I help you?" after looking up from her phone. Didn't provide menus or much general direction, not sure what the point of her being there was. Waiter was great though, took our order promptly and checked on us often. Monday nights have 50% off steak, I had a 16oz ribeye, was cooked properly but could have used a bit more seasoning. Overall, a good experience, other than the hostess
We really liked their food!
I only stopped by for lunch once. However, a nice atmosphere, very attentive and professional staff, and a fantastic Burger. Looking forward to going back and checking it out in the evening.
We held a family reunion dinner and they were great in handling a party of 23 people. Food came out hot and well prepared. Portions are huge, so plan on a carry home bag.
Herndon, VA - Irish Connection This is quite a large restaurant and generally filled with lots of business people and locals. Menu is quite large with Irish and American flare. Prices are mid-range. Staff is friendly. Happy Hours do make the drinks bit cheaper.
One star for the Bangers and mash because it was really skimpy for $15. Five stars for the service.
Been coming to Neds for a year. Thursday is country night, Friday bands are always a blast. Great bartenders and wait staff.
Best Irish Bar in the DMV
usually a decent experience. one bartender appeared in weeds all night. i was presented the menu i asked for and asked after one quarter of basketball (16-20mins) if there was anything i wanted, after i intentionally moved the menu twice, in different angles, in front of the employee. Pretty obvious then eh. I asked for specific item with a simple modification, shake something on top - couldn't accomplish that on $7 french fries. Ya i'm the tard that paid $7 for fries that weren't good. usually again they get it pretty right, sorry the 'right' times don't shine enough to warrant positive replies here. As you know for a positive review it takes something special to get the person to do something extra for you. Exact opposite for a less than positive review as we all know.
This place is loud on steak night 1/2 price. But excellent food.
Slow but good big portions
Great service, food, and beer selection! They have a variety of seating options to include an outside patio, inside booths, tables, the bar, and a back room for larger office gatherings.
Cool place, we'll definitely go back
To the Veteran who posted a review saying that Ned Devine's turns away Veterans; With all due respect Sir, you could not possibly be further from the truth. I have an unwavering support for Veterans and run multiple fundraisers each year in support of Veteran Organizations. Every staff member from the owner down, bartenders, wait staff, family of the staff & customers, many of them dear friends, have ALL gladly contributed each and every year. The Ned Devine's Golf Society has donated over $100,000.00 to Wounded Warriors and Fisher House, Foundations that assist our nation's Veterans!! THESE ARE FACTS! The Ned Devine's Golf Society paid for Wounded Veterans to come play in a Ned Devine's Sponsored Golf Tournament, one is which every penny raised went directly to Veterans Organizations. FACTS Many of the patrons are Veterans themselves, proud ones at that. You won't find a more patriotic bar in the area, you also won't find a more welcoming and friendly establishment than Ned Devine's either. They say ignorance is bliss but I find yours rather disturbing, so I would kindly request that you have the decency to take down your review, Sir. THERE IS ZERO TRUTH TO THIS MAN's STATEMENT.... ZERO TRUTH. If you don't believe me, feel free to stop in sometime and sit down with one of the many Veterans who frequent the bar on any given night. As a matter of fact, please stop by on Veteran's Day anytime between 2:30 PM and 9:00 PM. I think you'll find that not only Veterans, but all patrons are welcome.
Great staff and atmosphere
Great local Irish pub! Our hostess made us immediately feel welcome and notified our server we were there. The specials were clear and every member of the party dove into them. This was steak night. Great steak, done perfectly. We look forward to our next visit.
Good food and good prices. Friendly staff
Great for NY GIANTS fans
Awesome drinks and vegetarian options. Good energetic ambience.
Definitely not an Irish bar. Did have a nice waitress though.
Good food and good people. If you are into steak go on Mondays. 1/2 price.
An ok Irish Pub. Decent food and beer. Good service
Great spot local spot. Will be back for sure!
Some gluten free options service is fine but gluten free options are not as wide ranging as i would have liked having a GI tract issue with several things including gluten. The grilled chicken breast is fair. So overall I would rate this as a 3 1/4 stars out of 5 stars. The server responsiveness I would rate 5 out of 5 and and options for gluten free I give this restaurant 2.5 stars as there exists a Paleo gluten free option. However in the past they had no options to order off the menu for someone with a Paleo diet restriction for GI tract related issues.
Wonderful service all around except for yesterday the server kept my change without asking me!!
Fantastic bar.
Absolutely loved the bangers and mash
I used to love this bar but I went there for saint paddy's day and this place was DEAD. This bar has gone down hill quick and the bartenders are clearly inexperienced. Hopefully they figure out what made them a great bar before. If your not a regular at this bar then you will get treated like a burden on them. I saw no management or anyone there to make sure everyone was doing okay, looks like they have no structure here. P.S. the bouncer was super aggresive.
I'm not a big sports bar person, but this place does a good job of not getting the TVs in the way too much if you're ignoring them. Good drink selection. Okay food selection. Great prices. Some of the wait staff felt a little new and unsure of themselves in taking orders, but everything came out fast and was prepared properly. Been here about 4 times, will go back again soon.
The bartenders here are usually very nice and friendly. However the last few times we ate here the food wasn't the best. The last time here we asked to see a manager and our waiter said that the manager was unavailable. What manager isn't available to come see a customer?
Just tried this place and cant believe I have lived near it without trying it. Broccoli bites are the bomb.
The service is excellent. Good menu options for a bar. Lots of drink options and most of all a great place to meet up for a nice happy hour.
Good food. Slow service
I think it was just an off night. Not packed at all but everything was slow. I can see it being packed and fun some other night.
The service was great and my food was excellent.
Great atmosphere, but a bit pricey. I've been to a few Ned's spots over the years... Same spotty service nealry every time, but I keep trying.
I come here for the food, it's good proportion sizes and very inexpensive. There is a good buffalo chicken sandwich I like to get. Some of the reviews are from the old owners and management. All I can really say is it's worth coming for a filling meal.
Good food and drink. The meat pie was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a great place to get a nice meal and watch a game while you're at it
A large group of us decided to go to Ned Devine's for St Patrick's Day. Drinks were just OK, the DJ was good, but the place was all but dead. Maybe 15 customers there when we arrived. Thinking things would really start to pick up at 10P. So so. I've been here a few times and have never seen it this slow. Hopefully this is a period of restructure and regrowth for Ned's.
Love the Shepard's pie... service can be slow but always good pub food
The food was delicious! The live music was great. I went for St Patricks day so im not sure what they have normally for entertainment but it was a good vibe. Our waitress was great and attentive as well.
Great staff and food
We eat at Ned Devine's everytime we are in the area. Our waitress last night as was our food. The bagers and potatoes with cabbage and the stuffed burgers were great.
Cool place, good environment, plenty of space!
Friends, family, brothers in arms. Neds is a great place. Welcoming to all veterans and military especially memorial day weekend.
Nice bar, great selection of drinks, food and appetizers. You can have a good time without breaking the bank.
Best Shephards Pie in the area good HH prices
Great location with covered outside seating. Service was good. Rib eye and corned beef spring rolls we're perfect.
Good food, a bit expensive but service was good
My friends and I have been regularly coming to Ned’s for Thursday country night and on weekends to hear our friends’ bands perform. The staff is warm, respectful and attentive. They support our military and veterans, many of whom are regulars here, too. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and everyone is welcoming. Ned’s is a fun, affordable, local haunt. Props to Carlos and Nate, my favorite bartender.
Great Shepard's pie. Busy but not too loud to have a conversation, which is nice for a bar. Great traditional wood pub design as well if you like that aesthetic. I didn't try the drinks because I'm pregnant but my husband said they were good.
I'm new to the area and wanted to get out for dinner and a couple of beers. I found Ned's online and decided to try it. I sat on the outside patio, atmosphere was great and staff was very friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better waitress...she was great! The Bourbon BBQ burger I had was very good. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be back.
It's so close to work and home. Great local spot for a pint of Guinness and the food is always good.
Ned's is a great place to go to have a few drinks while watching a game. They have classic Irish dishes along with traditional bar food. Happy hour menu offers great deals on both food and drinks!
I was a little bit worried about having lunch here, since the reviews on Google weren't that good, but there wasn't any other affordable place in that mall area. Our service was good and the food was good. We had additional Irish food and it was fine. I would recommend this place and I'll give you 5 stars
Best Shepherds pie in town!!
Great food and great service.
Enjoyed my fish and chips here today. Great beer selection and plenty of tvs to watch sports. World Cup was on today and bartender was very attentive. Really enjoy this bar. Reccomend to anyone.
The food is DELICIOUS!! Especially the Dublin Rolls. My steamed shrimp came out PERFECTLY. And they were the large size!! Brittany and Carlos were AMAZING!!!
I went there at night, during one of their live band appearances and loved the atmosphere as well as the prices of beer.
Great food good service
Great Irish food and the atmosphere is perfect for families and friends.
Always my go to place to weekend nights.. also has great love music on Fridays..
Great food and awesome staff.
It's way far for where i live but when in the area i can pop in for comfy beer and sports, friendly staff, and the best chicken fingers ive ever had, my friends know it as the chicken fingers bar.
I had just left a meeting and was hungry. I saw the sign and thought they have to have great food. Unfortunately the food was only average and the staff was polite but a bit strange. But the beer was great!
Amazing beer selection and a very upbeat atmosphere. I think they do have gluten free beer for those who wants it. Very upbeat and young environment. The food is good as well. Also the locating is very convenient and I a great place. Great stop for small dishes as well. Enjoy...
The interior is large and definitely looks enough like a pub. The drink prices are reasonable, particularly for happy hour. The food is above average with some notably unique offerings such as the Dublin rolls (egg rolls with corned beef) and a nice sampler platter. The menu has enough variety and the service is good. There's occasionally live music, usually on Friday and Saturday nights, so be aware that there may be a cover charge. Parking is easy and ample. There's also an outdoor area to sit as well when the weather is nice.
Typical Irish bar-like place. Dark inside. Food is mostly fried but good. Nothing wrong here. It's a perfectly good place to meet for drinks.
Amazing food and great service. Thanks so much! Will certainly be returning soon for some more great meals.
The crab sandwich was great
Food was great, but service was a little slow. The male server I had seemed a little confused and another server took my order and had to bring me my drinks.
The location is not that great. Although the staff tries to be friendly but not really. The food tastes good but not too many choices.
Great pub. I go here every trip. Great comfort food, and mutliple screens to watch ALL the ball games.
I came here to watch my friend's band perform and I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. It seems like they have live music on quite often, which is awesome. The Pub is huge, the staff is friendly and on top of their game. Great selection of Irish beers on tap. I haven't tried their food, but some of my friends did and said it was excellent bar food. I would definitely come here again.
I've been going here for many years; for lunch when I worked nearby, for drinks after work, and now as the best place to watch the New York Giants with other former New Yorkers. The food is very good, the servers have a good attitude and the place has an all around good vibe.
Food is delicious and love their choices of draft beers
Beers staff and the craic all on point great location for big groups.
Nice place to hangout
Bar food is delicious
Great, authentic food.
Filet medium rare was beyond well done. Asparagus and potatoes were cold. After a long wait. Half-price steak night must-have been the excuse to use the B team...
Good Irish Pub. Plenty of draft beer selections, good pub food and friendly service. Has more than one bar, TVs, tables and booths and outdoor seating.
Better than no pub at all
Excellent corn beef and cabbage with mash. White gravy is a must.
