Great location have been coming to Los Tios for years since they first opened in Mt. Vernon. They are welcoming and attentive to your needs and their service is excellent. I recommend speaking with Martin he is a great server you should ask for him be ready to expect great service. Ermelindo is a great bartender and will be attentive as well. Visit this location. They transferred from the Mt. Vernon location and are clutch.

The people here are super nice. Just want throw that out there before I talk about the food. Great service! When I started coming to this restaurant I loved the food! Delicious! But overtime I notice some changes. First the guacamole is full of onions and tomatoes and barley no avocado chunks. The steak use to be so flavorful and tender but it’s now hard to chew and taste so different

Whew child this was good! From the street this place is very unassuming but the food packs a wallop. The store was clean and not overly busy. We were greeted and seated right away. The flavors are authentic enough. The passion fruit margarita was refreshing and tasty. They do serve chips before the meal. Every person with an El Salvadoran background has aunt who makes better pupusas but these were pretty good. They gave us this little sauce container with this hot sauce that exploded the flavor truck and highlighted all the meals with its heat. Not for the faint of heart, keep your quivering lips away if you don’t like spicy food. The burrito was also very delicious. The tamal de elote was the perfect ending to our dining adventure. Not to expensive $12-$20 entrees. Would definitely recommend.

We came in from Michigan and googled local spots to eat at. This place had great reviews so we decided to check them out. This restaurant was AMAZING! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was superb. Our server Erick provided great recommendations, he suggested the plantains as an appetizer, my husband and I have never had them, they were so yummy! I ordered the chicken and beef fajita and my husband ordered the chicken chimichanga, BOTH dishes were delightful. If we ever return to Virginia this place will be a definite stop along the way, it was truly a highlight of our trip. Thank you Erick and Los Tios Grill for the exceptional food and service.

This place amazing! My boyfriend and I passed by and I decided to look at the reviews on Google Maps. I saw it had 4.5 with over 300 reviews so we went (: We started with frozen mango margaritas... THESE ARE THE BEST MANGO MARGARITAS!! It taste like they use real mango witch is amazing! If you squeeze the lemon into it too it is so good and refreshing!!! The chips and salsa were good and tasted home made! We both got the carne asada salvadoreña, which was also amazing!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!

Good food, kinda empty, but very good atmosphere. I came during lunch thinking it might be busy or noisy. Despite being quiet and very little customers, still felt like server wasn't interested in serving me but turning the table out. Which if it was rush hour traffic in the restaurant, I would understand. But it just came off unwelcoming. Overall service was great though, maybe an off day for the server?

Great drinks! Nice staff. We sat outside so I can't speak on the decor on the inside. The guacamole was made fresh using a pestle and mortar and it was delicious!!! You can tell they have regulars that come, and it's nice to have a place like that. I would go again.

Food was ok, nothing special. I was hoping for more authentic Mexican food, the food here was very bland. I'm not saying the food was bad, just bland. Service was ok, I felt that it took awhile for the food to get to our table. They were very good about keeping our drinks filled. I guess they dumb down the spices for Americans. The Mexican rice and refried beans was actually pretty good. I got steak soft tacos and there was no spices on the meat. Also I felt like the tacos weren't that full of meat.

May 10 I'm having dinner with my wife and her family they are celebrating mothers day, our food took 55 minutes, my wife wanted to leave already I got up ready to pay for our drinks, the bartender went to the back and check on our food he was nice but no manager at all 10 minutes later our food arrived to the table, ribs were burnt I ask for the check immediately. No signs of manager or any body to apologize never going back to the place again!

We just visited DC last week and we were looking for a triple D but we stumbled upon this place because there were people filling the place. So We went and just ordered some steak taco's to go and they were fantastic. While we waited for our "to go" order they brought us out complimentary chips and salsa. I like thick and creamy salsa better than anything and yet there salsa had some of the best flavor that I have ever had. (Confession, the salsa was so good that I ate some chips and drank the rest of the salsa to go with it because the salsa had chunks of onion and tomato's but it was runny. They also have great sour cream. some of the best I have ever had and they had a green spicy sauce that came with our taco's that is truly one of a kind. We wound up ordering take out taco's both nights we were there. My experience there was great for those reasons. I recommend it and will go back if we are in the area again.

Came on a Thursday night and the place was packed. I was here with a large group. There is a party room that was already occupied with a birthday party. They had a live mariachi band playing and people were dancing. Food was good and I didn't try the margaritas but I was told they were good also and they were huge. I will come back again on my own to taste more of the menu options.

Omg love the food here, the music, and the service. They were very kind and served the food in a well amount of time. One thing was that there was a lot of beans and it was hard to eat all of it. Just that much, so overall I would recommend it here when you are really hungry.

Had the Tacos Los Tios with hard tacos. The flavor was slightly better than average and the portion size was good. The hard taco shells were nasty. The bottom half of the shells were soaked and just fell apart.

The service was great and the food was good with the exception of finding a piece of grill brush about 2 inches long in my food. I was really surprised that the manager didn't at a minimum offer a complimentary drink especially since I almost choked. Luckily I was able to pull it out of my throat. It really could have been a medical emergency.

I frequent this location and the one in delray for many many years no problems until...last Friday my birthday. I checked the website and it stated happy hour til 7 at the bar. I met with friends there, they got there about 5:30/6 I asked them to confirm it was still happy hour about 6 as I was pulling up about 6:15 pm my friends and family said no. I'm pretty cool with the manager there so when I got there I spoke with him about the false information on the website. He said they stopped it at 6 pm, this was also stated to my friends and family and that it's been like that for 7 months now. I told him they may want to update the website because it gives false pretenses to patrons who plan to be there before the stated time on the website. He said I have to get off early lol really? In 7 months no one could change the time on the site or even have a sign posted at the door or bar? I wasnt happy at all. And I love this place! My go to by myself and with others. He also stated they stopped the happy hour early because ppl would just come to the bar for a happy hour drink and then go order at the table ummm yes nothing wrong with getting a good deal anywhere wth? I've done this at other restaurants and they haven't changed their hours and still make good money. Very disappointed. Along with the server my sister warned me he was a little rude to them before and not attentive at all. I arrived and ordered my regular shrimp n chicken I got shrimp and steak! He and I confirmed my order before he walked away. He asked them were they ordering a lot of food at the bar...what difference did that make idk. I've sat at the bar and ordered main courses no problem please get it together this was and hopefully continue to be my favorite place. We also suggested if the hours are by location that should very well be stated on the site.

The food here is awesome! Everyone is so nice and professional as well. Very clean with great ambiance. Talked with the manager about an upcoming event were planning and he was more than accommodating with helping with our plans. These days you really have to appreciate that type of service because it is in fact hard too find!

Service was great and waitors attentive. I ordered a beef burrito, which was small pieces of steak that were very tender. While the food was pretty decent, I didn't like how oniony everything tasted. I probably won't go back, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt it isn't the worst Mexican Food I've ever eaten—especially if you don't mind the overbearing flavor of onion. The husband had the beef enchilada and said it was very good. He ordered a margarita, which he enjoyed except that it was $14.00. So if you plan on drinking, I'd ask for prices before hand. They were not on the menu.

My favorite place to go not just for the food, but for the owner and staff and their great service. I live in DC, but I don't mind making the drive almost twice a week. It has become the kids favorite spot as well. The margaritas are the best I've ever had and I've had plenty. My favorite is the baja margarita frozen with the corona in it. And there's a large variety of tequila to try. Great prices, great food, great service what more can you ask for! Oh and my favorite server is Maria.

I definitely did not like my first impression of this restaurant. I feel the quality and quantity of this food is over priced. The amount of time I waited, I expected a better meal. I never had beef enchiladas so plain. My girlfriend s meal was worse. The only thing I enjoyed was my drink.

My favorite local spot. Their skinny margarita is excellent, and their beef taquito appetizer and the guacamole are just the best I've had. The staff is beyond friendly, go twice and they already will remember who you are. The owner always makes sure to come say hi too. Excellent food, great happy hour, super friendly staff!

I would say this is an okay place to eat. The salsa was meh and the cheese dip was just yellow cheese and rotel. Nothing to write home about. The meal I got was some chicken, shrimp, pico de gallo dish. Chicken was dry and the meat was flat. I could see they were trying to go with the meal. An upscale mexican food dish at a reasonable price with the veggies and white rice, but they did not hit the mark. The drinks did look good though.

I'm so glad I found a place with the best service, food, and did I mention the mango frozen margaritas?! I took my friend here the other day and it's her new favorite. They even had a patio to enjoy. A cheerful, friendly neighborhood restaurant with good food and excellent service. I tried a few different things before discovering the chilaquiles. I get the cubed beef version, with sauteed tortillas, two eggs cooked to order, onions, sour cream, cheese and rice. A feast for $12. It keeps me going back for more.

I keep trying this place and the more I come the more I dislike it. Insane amounts of onion in everything and zero flavor in anything that doesn't have a mountain of onion in it. Staff is surly and rushed. I've had multiple meals where I've eaten a few bites and been done, they've never even asked why and just take a full plate back to the kitchen.

We got plantains and tamales for appetizers and both were delicious. I was surprised to see only one tamale though, I guess other restaurants usually serve two. For the main meal we asked to combine shrimp and veggie fajitas. There was exactly 3 shrimp and we were first charged for the combo option 25 dollars. When we argued that we were charged for shrimp fajitas, which I don't think is fair. Food and margaritas were actually really good, but definitely overpriced, especially margarita.
