This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
Our first choice for curry. They can really turn up the heat when asked! Very good service and dining experience, very good flavors all around.
What a splendid experience! London Curry House has a great ambiance, fantastic curry, and tremendous workers. Everyone in our party loved their dishes, it is definitely the best curry in the Arlington area. What really struck me is how helpful their waiting staff is, they were helpful in suggestions, gave us more rice when needed, and were friendly throughout the process. If you love curry it is a must go.
They recently stopped the buffet and started thali (platter) instead which is served without bread and no dessert-less food, more expensive- total rip off. When I talked to manager regarding this he was rude- never going back .
Probably the best Indian restaurant in the Alexandria area. It's tucked away in a neighborhood so not visible from any major roads. We enjoyed both of our food and ambiance. Server was friendly and helpful recommending dishes. Their sauces were very creamy and flavorful.
Wonderful place, great food, amazing service
LOVE the food! Excellent quality and very friendly and welcoming staff.
Excellent food and service. Definitely I will be back.
I would give this place a solid 4, even 5 on the account of the food. It’s excellent! However, service was really bad last night. We sat with dirty dishes after we finished for quite awhile, and then the waiter came and only took half of them. Weird. They were still sitting there when we left. Also took a really long time to get the check, for the waiter to take our card, and process the payment.
Another awesome dinner experience.
This is place is the real deal. My husband is British and curry is in his blood. When we walked in he said Yes, This is the place. The food: outstanding. We requested Onion Bargees which is a staple in most curry houses. The chef quickly made them. The cocktails were delicious. The desserts were just enough to finish off the meal. I asked for tea to go with my meal and I was told to wait for dessert. And they were correct. Well done London Curry House! We will be back.
LCH catered a dinner for 25 in our home. Goat curry, butter chicken, eggplant, potatoes, etc. All excellent. Everyone enjoyed. Very accommodating. Price was very reasonable. Great job!
Came for lunch on a Saturday while nearby. Samosa Chaat appetizer was really flavorful. Enjoyed the Bhindi Masala, Palak Paneer and Eggplant with Garlic Naan. More than anything, we enjoyed the ambience and accommodating staff. Had a really great experience here for lunch with wife and baby. They helped us get a table in the corner and we felt very taken care of.
Loved the food...but service was kind of slow.
Best Indian food I have ever tried, the service is astonishing, will definitely return the next time I'm in D.C.
I would highly recommend this place. Great food good service, pleasant ambiance. The buffet is solid deal considering the quality of the food.
Had the lunch buffet, food selection was poor and flavor was very hit or miss. All of their meat was very low quality as well.
The food is delicious and the staff is extremely attentive. Highly recommend.
Great food and service!
Good Indian food, nice atmosphere, excellent lunch buffet.
Very good. Delicious Indian fare with an English flare. Loved it
Under new management , was there last nite ... it was amazing , great food, service and ambiance. Locals please keep it going and and tell a friend.... food was just amazing.
Food and waiter were excellent
We liked this restaurant. We ordered the chicken momo and the goat biryani which were both good. We were served some light appetizer upon arrival. The waiters and staff are friend and their bathrooms are immaculately clean. A clean bathroom says a lot about restaurant hygiene. Truly recommend this place. The ambiance and decor is amazing. The bar side has couches where you can lounge out. Service was fast and very personable. We enjoyed our time there.
The new managers are doing a great job! The service is EXCELLENT and the food we ordered was delicious! Best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever tasted! Please add an okra dish! The only downside is that the entree items are a bit on the expensive side so we problem won’t dine here as often as we’d like based on the quality of the food.
So I've lived nearby the restaurant for about two years and while it was always good, it is nice to see new management and a new menu! The Mo-mo appetizer ( think Indian gyoza) was amazing tonight as well as the tandoori board for two. Also, the level of service we received was fantastic. We sat outside on the patio with our pup and enjoyed a nice long dinner and delicious wine. Can't wait to see what else the new owners come up with!
Dined last night with friends and was blown away -- absolutely outstanding experience! Fun, relaxed atmosphere, extremely attentive and professional staff, but most of all phenomenal, delicious food and drink! We will definitely be back ... although while we were there I noticed a number of take-away orders -- so we will certainly try that too!
Good food and great service.
Customer service is excellent but food is really bad. We had goat curry, salmon, tandoori chicken and London curry chicken. This is the worst food we ever taste.
You'll spend a little more money here than at most other Indian places but it's worth it. Really bold flavors and generous portion sizes, not your run-of-the-mill Indian food. If you get a bread basket with your main dish (which is amazing if you like garlic-ey or onion-ey bread), you'll usually have leftovers for the next day. Nice atmosphere for a date with the lighting and street view. The staff is hit or miss; I've had some really, really nice waiters and some who were very minimally going through the motions, but it was a slow Tuesday night or something and I really couldn't blame him lol the food is good enough that the service is usually and afterthought. Try it out!
Really enjoyed having dinner at this place on the weekend. The food is good and is marinated and seasoned perfectly. It is not like your other typical Indian restaurant where they overly spice all of their food. It reminded me of the curry houses that you would see in England. Nicely decorated, plus their customer service is excellent. Can't go wrong with it.
Great food and excellent service. My wife and I stopped on our way to a flight back home from Washington Reagan. It was well worth the stop and we look forward to another meal at this restaurant the next time we are in DC.
The ambience is very good. The music is not too loud, the interior's are very nice. The service is also excellent. The cleanliness is maintained very well. Overall is nice place for a couple's meal or a family meal... Shout-out to the amazing 80's English songs that are played...
Good Indian food in the heart of Cameron station development. Well priced and good service. Decor is a bit tacky, but the food delicious and London styled bricklane experience.
Lunch buffet is pretty weak. And sauces not very authentic . If you like lndia food I recommend , Dishes of India in the Belle Haven shopping mall in Alexandria.
Food was good. Wish they had a sweet lassi (only mango). While the live bellydancing was entertaining, the accompanying music was too loud - made table conversation almost impossible, so would check for times (and avoid) in the future.
Excellent service . Delicious culinary Art Beautiful Ambience must go place.
Enjoyed our meal. Quite tasty. Very large portions - one main per person may be too much for your group especially if you order bread or a starter. Good service from a youngster from abroad, present (legally) on a J-1 exchange visa.
Very testy food and clean good family and friends. Good service. Employee's are very nice good behavior after all no complain.
Food was fantastic. Nicely spiced, not overly hot. Nice bar area with TVs for watching sports. Ambiance relatively quiet and classy. Mixed drinks above average. Highly recommended. We will come back soon......
Loved the food! The staff here is amazing, you can tell they take pride in what they do! If your are looking for a great place to eat with a great ambiance be sure to visit.
Probably the best service I've ever gotten at a restaurant that I can remember. Food is high quality too.
Surmounting difficulties in the past, LCH has made a real effort to remake its image and, in large part, has succeeded. Bravo!
Terrific service and terrific food!
Went here for lunch with coworkers. We all got different biryani bowls. We all liked what we got (vegetable, chicken, and goat). Will go again to try other stuff
What a great Indian restaurant! I can categorically say that this is the best Indian restaurant that I have eaten in in America. It's a top ten for the whole world. Genuinely spicy food, authentic flavours and great paratha! I'll be back the next time I'm in DC.
The food is good with the taste. The sides are fairly priced. But the main course is little higher with pricing and not many options to chose from. Esp. being an Indian restaurant the downside for this place is the menu options - very few to pick. When you order through phone the attendant is not friendly and sometimes you will feel they answer rudely or yelling at you saying that's what we have or we don't have any other than in the menu ... Check menu before calling and they won't read items for you. Ambience is good if you dine in. Liquor is served here. My request is that the Phone attendant should be replaced ..
I'm more familiar with their sister restaurant Royal Nepal, but finally made it out to London Curry House recently and was quite impressed by the execution and quality of the food. The immediately surrounding area is a bit weird and stepford-y, but it wasn't very difficult to find parking on the street and the spots were pretty big. The restaurant itself was spotless and had really cool decor (but also screens with all the relevant sports at the bar, just in case). They had a private room in the front that would have been great for a big group. We ordered WAY too much food in an effort to try as much as possible, and I can't think of anything we didn't like. The aged manhattan was very smooth and beautifully presented. The curry sampler and the tandoori platter were great ways to have a lot of variety pretty easily. My favorite curry we tried was the eggplant and peanut one, but my friend was very taken with the palak paneer. It's hard to choose a favorite from everything, but the lamb chops were pretty high up on the list, especially given the cranberry raita because I've never seen that before and it's a Good Idea. The onion-stuffed paratha were also amazing and I would go back for those alone. The main meal being excellent would have been enough, but the desserts were also great, and surprisingly innovative. The puffed tapioca on top of the tapioca pudding dessert was such a cool touch. If you're nearby, what are you waiting for?! If you're farther away, definitely consider going out of your way. I know I will be planning my next visit soon.
Good food and atmosphere!
Their food was really good ..... everything tasted so fresh.... and yummy ..... presentation was on point..... loved their momo .... small suggestion ... try to improve you chana masala .... i feel like it can be improved ... anyway loved your food and will come back again....
Great selection of food, clean restaurant. But food was VERY spicy, maybe I came on an off day...but with the food being so spicy it was hard to enjoy and savor it. On a bright note, the kheer was quite delicious.
Good Food and Good Service
New owners are doing an outstanding job! The staff works like a team and are super attentive. The MOMO dish was really unique; it's a tibetan dumpling that everyone should try. The curry table flight is a great way to try different dishes. My wife and I had an outstanding time. I can't wait to go back!
I love this place! Food is always delicious, service always nice. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood oh, it would be great if it had more business.
Excellent Samosa and MoMo.
Stopped in for the lunch buffet. Very clean and a nice looking place. Great food and very friendly staff.
Amazing food, great service and beautiful place.
Authentic Indian cuisine for lunch buffet, very nice and clean restaurant, nice decor and outside view, free parking etc. The restaurant is a hidden gem.
Excellent Indian restaurant
I reserved the private room for my birthday party and management and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect and ready for us when we arrived. Although I had a fiasco with some guests not showing up, attendants at London Curry House exceeded all my expectations and were gracious with my shortcomings. They even sent me home with all the leftovers of the guests who were no shows. The food is slightly different with the new cooks and management, but still over all delicious and would highly recommend!
Service was wonderful. Food delicious. Will eat again.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. A little expensive for small portions.
Absolutely phenomenal. From the food to the service. We love this place. Talked to Ashok, who owns the place with his team, his service and staff were all super polite and attentive. Highly recommended.
Some of the best Indian food hands down! They have great lunch buffets and the owner is extremely receptive to feedback for improvements or how to bring in more customers. We love that they will deliver although it can be hard to meet the $25 minimum order fee in order to get free delivery when there are just two of us. However it all reheated well so we usually purposefully order extra and half leftovers the next day.
Authentic and delicious! Also great customer service!
I came here for the lunch buffet with my family. The place felt so homey and elegant. It is a restaurant with a colorful atmosphere and a menu filled with all your traditional favorites as well as some more modern dishes. The buffet had a decent salad/condiments section, couple appetizers and a dessert, ample vegetarian and non-vegetarian options which came with some fresh naan. Their mango lassi was definitely a table favorite as they were ordered multiple times. We also ordered some chicken momos and a goat curry. Both the momos & the goat curry were the stars of the show as they were gobbled up so quickly by the family. There is also a beautiful park right cross the street where you can go for a walk after getting stuffed here. Food was beyond amazing. The service was the best part. Servers were super available, warm, efficient, and accommodating. Everything was top notch! Hands down. This is the best Indian restaurant in the city. There's nothing Alexandria needs more than this genuine treasure. We will definitely return!
Loved our visit and food was wonderful. My wife said best meal experience she has ever had. Staff highly attentive.
Outstanding food and service. Parking sucks in the area.
Lunch buffet is good and I can recommend trying it first before you have dinner here. I think that the lunch is a better deal overall and would stick with it only.
When traveling my wife and I always eat Indian. First, we had rockstar parking in front of the restaurant (walked ten feet) were immediately greeted by management and our appetizers were served in record time. Our two food critics (kids) loved the food and we think by far London Curry House is the best Indian food we have ever had.
Mango lassi was good however the food was lacking flavor. Great environment, friendly service.
I must recommend everyone to come here. The new owner is very friendly and just equal to that is the food taste. The food tastes amazing. Very clean and very nice staff.
One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever dined at. Great service, and AMAZING FOOD. One of the best Indian cuisine restaurants I’ve ever been to. Also, they don’t do the usual “mid-day” closing that most Indian establishments do which is great for the late luncher.
Tonight I felt like enjoying some nice Indian food at my favorite restaurant London Curry House in Cameron Station. Again the food and service were both excellent !! For dinner I had Tandoori Chicken which was nicely marinated and properly cooked in their tandoor oven : Deliciously nice and tender not dry at all.. With that I had some Baghai Mahta ( Curried Eggplant And Pea Puree) and plain oven baked fresh Naan Bread. Both items were cooked to perfection. As dessert I finished with a wonderful creamy Tapioca pudding. Served nice and cold with a proper balanced sweetness. The service was very attentive, friendly and excellent with the owner taking guest orders and making conversation. This restaurant has come under new management a few months ago and the difference in both the quality of food and service is very much noticeable in the most positive sense of the word. This restaurant is highly recommended!
The host was funny and warm. The food was awesome. Great ambience.
This is not far from work, so I checked it out on a whim. Weekday lunch, got there early. Was not crowded at all. Took a look at both the regular menu and what they had on the buffet - the buffet had some unusual choices and a good variety, so I opted for that. Service was great. Definitely a place I would dine at again.
This is my favorite India restaurant around my area. Love the food and service, it a little bit high on the price side but that fine.
I had a problem with my food. The O was very friendly and took care of the problem immediately and personally. Good service.
So, so, so tasty. I say this about most of the Indian restaurants I've been to, but I mean it the most for this one: BEST Indian food I've had. The meat is perfectly tender, and everything is cooked just right. I had takeout one day at work, and liked it so much that the next weekend I drove an hour with my partner for the afternoon brunch. So worth it. It's tucked away in a cute neighborhood, and took me a little bit of driving around to find the first time.
Had a great time eating with my son's while enjoying some great food.
Awesome non traditional Indian cuisine Service is great You have to ask for heat if you want it hot Medium hot Aloogobi came out perfect Highly recommend this place Easy to park Warm and friendly staff
Great neighborhood gem. Been there twice, the food is great, the service is attentive. They suggested the momo dumplings, they were a fantastic Indian take on traditionally Chinese fare. The vindaloo wasn't as spicy as was expecting, but my tolerance is pretty high. Not crowded either time we went, casual enough for an easy night out, but fancy enough to make it seem special. My complaint is that it's tucked away and hard to get to from either Virgina it the District, but not really a complaint, because I can keep this place to myself.
I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. The service was quick and the servers were very polite and helpful with any questions me or my wife had. The location is great. It’s off the main highways or roads in a nice neighborhood next to a cozy little park. The lamb chops were delicious. We will definitely be going back many times in the future.
Food was delicious, service on point!
What a lovely place for a delicious meal! We recieved a friendly welcome and absolutely wonderful service from start to finish. Our waiter was wonderful and the busier was always clearing AND cleaning our table from course to course. The food was wonderful- delicious appetizers, Lamb Vindaloo was just spicy enough, Chicken Moghul was very tasty, and the Mango Kulfi was a great way to finish out the meal. We are so glad we found this gem just slightly off the beaten path. Highly recommend a visit!
Simply Brilliant !! From service to food- all expectations exceeded. Very well balanced authentic flavors.
The idea nd the place was Good. The taste of food was too good. Especially panner chilly, pani Puri tamasha was my favorite.
Superb service and delicious dishes. We love this restaurant. Easy parking on the street, incredible attention to detail from staff.
Excellent service and delicious tests
Our three vegetarian dishes were excellent. The garlic naan is delicious. All servers very nice. We will be back.
Great place, great food and great service!
Very welcoming, the food was fantastic! The had live music (violin) I highly recommend it!
Tasty food, good cocktails, attentive staff. We've tried half a dozen Indian restaurants in the area that were just OK, but have finally found our regular.
The absolute best, most flavorful, and tastiest Indian food with flawless and brilliant service. Highly recommend.
The staff is great! Very welcoming and courteous! On the other hand the food was simply terrible! I ordered for different grill items from the menu, the meats were so bland and not seasoned well. Paneer (cottage cheese) tasted like a brick that was char grilled so dry and hard (might have been old) Food is overpriced and QUALITY is not upto the mark!! Save yourself some bucks and go elsewhere!
Went back here not knowing they changed ownership, but was not disappointed! The simpler menu made choosing easier. The staff was exceptionally kind, and the food was melt in my mouth delicious. This is a hidden gem!
We were surprised to find that it was under new ownership with a greatly reduced menu and were very unsure of what to expect. No worries! The food was excellent. The service was wonderfully attentive. If I lived closer I would most certainly go often to taste their latest additions to the menu because they promised many of them!
Delicious India curry food
Wonderful food, outstanding service.
Food was fresh outstanding. The buffet was small but the food was like a main course quality and taste
Definitely went above and beyond and gave us extras. Just make sure to ask for spicy food options in your meal. Thanks, guys!
London Curry House not only has amazingly delicious, mouth watering food, but also outstanding customer service. From the moment we walked in to the minute we left, we were treated very kindly. The owner, Ashok, was our server/bartender and gave excellent recommendations, checked in on us at appropriate intervals, and we never had empty glasses throughout our meal. The staff even offered to package our leftovers to go for us. Atmosphere was very comfortable and we will absolutely be back for more!
Sunday's Lunch Buffett is a delight for my entire family. From the minute you enter the restaurant and get greeted by the always so courteous staff to the moment you start serving yourself- it's just a wonderful experience and the ambiance of the restaurant is just wonderful. And if they ever run out of a dish- they will bring it to You, no questions asked. London Curry takes you to India without having to travel that far to get a mouthful of my favorite Butter Chicken, spicy chickpeas and the famous Korma Chicken. Best Indian Restaurant in Alexandria VA- no doubt.
Went for the lunch buffet which was delicious. Excellent service, very nice decor. Would revisit and recommend to others.
AHA men's happy hour was a great success.
Very good service with good and tasty food .A must go place to have a good time with Friends and family .
Hidden gem! New ownership has made it more welcoming, and the food and bar are better than ever. Check out happy hour for bar bites! A great spot for informal gatherings (or you can rent the party room for something fancier).
Good quality food.
Horrible place to go, the worst place to have Indian food. There service is worst ever. Would never visit again. Their hospitality is bad, the food ordered was utterly spice everything from appetizers to the entree, everything was terribly hot. It looked like they did it on purpose, probably have a eversion to Indians. I even asked whether they serve this kind of hot to Americans but didn’t get any smart reply. Would never visit that place ever. 0 in hospitality, 0 in service and 0 in food cooking
This is one of the best indian restaurant experiences one will ever come close to having (at least in the tri-state), outside of India. I say experience because it's not just the food that's fantastic but the hospitality shown by all the staff (shout out to Ashok) will make you feel like a million bucks! Nova has tons of indian restaurants, have tried them all and nothing comes close to being this good, both in food and the service. It's ironic that one of the best indian restaurants in USA is named after London.
AMAZING!** My first ever authentic Indian food experience. Went with family and friends. Ordered the Butter chicken and Nan bread. It was served with a small palette cleansing salad. Everything was delicious. The meat was tender and lean. There was some spice but it didn't detract from the overall taste. The service impeccable. We all went home with leftovers, so the portions were generous. The management was informative and super welcoming. If I lived closer I'd visit every week. I look forward to my next experience there.
This London Curry House is amazing. Awesome food.
Great food, even better service.
A very welcoming place with good food and welcoming staff . Place mixed with London and Indian vibes .
Comfortable, classy atmosphere paired with tasty food and graceful service. Impressive and satisfying experience. I certainly recommend this place.
Maybe my favorite Indian place in the DC area, delicious!
Best curry place in Alexandria as far as I'm concerned.
This place is a hidden gem. I love everything here: Food quality, attention, even if the decorations are too much old fashion chic. I love it also. The suggestion of the server starting with an entree of two courses was exceptional. Maybe for a party of two, it was too much asking for a basket of bread.
When I saw the name London Curry House, I was instantly intrigued and hopeful and the location didn’t prove me wrong. The Samosas were hot and crispy. We always had brought water. The madras curry, butter chicken, chicken tikka Masala and aloo gobi were on point. The naan and roti were delicious. Price was good and worth it. Staff was just the right level of attentive. Very pleased. As someone who hasn’t liked the other India restaurants in the area, this will be my new go to spot.
The restaurant’s opening hours are 12 noon to 2pm for lunch. I got there at 1:05 pm and the buffet dishes were almost empty. I am a vegetarian and unfortunately the choices were limited - of the three that were there, one was almost non-existent. The raita had finished and so had the salad - and as I subsequently found out - also the desserts. The waiter however got me a small helping of the only dessert available. And I was charged for a complete buffet!!!! A never again experience.
I might have to buy a condo in this neighborhood so I can walk to London Curry House every night. Tucked away, this place is an absolute gem. The momo dumplings appetizer is delicious, as is the kofta and other unique curries. The lamb biryani was also delicious and had a fun presentation in what I can only describe as a naan pot pie. Both times I have been, our service has been excellent. I also really appreciate that it’s spacious and quiet enough to have a private conversation with your table. They regularly rotate a portion of the menu, so I guess I’ll just have to keep coming by!
Great service and great food. Will be returning to keep trying the menu
The food here is excellent, the service is usually good. On the last visit our water seemed like he was angry at the world. You should hire friendly staff if you want your customers to keep returning.
Amazing food that got even better with new management. Staff is superb. Worth the drive (ample free street parking!)
Was a great experience dining here. I had momos in my appetizer, they were really testy with two of those hot and sweet tomato chatnee (sause) . Goat biryani Was awesome. Never had a biryani like that. Very cozy environment. I definitely wanna visit again.
Great place for Sunday buffet
Limited, but nicely representative Indian menu. Ordered lamb Rogan Josh (with nice notes of ginger), Royal Naan ( sweet and nutty). From a nice selection of wines and mixed drinks, I chose a Pimm's Cup, which was adroitly built by an obviously talented bartender. I was offered a very nice arugula mango and avocado starter salad on the house. Staff exceptionally attentive and flawlessly polite. Prices are reasonable and the location is convenient. This is going to be my new go-to spot for Indian food!
Amazing cuisine, and the service is top notch!
Really good curry sampler
Best restaurant ever, never had such awesome food in America. Good hospitality too.
The food is decent but the atmosphere is extremely ... awkward. We have given this place a couples tries since it's close to where we live but we're slightly disappointed each time. The last time we came here it wasn't busy and there were a few people walking around the restaurant but no one seemed to be doing anything. There was a lady who seemed like a manager walking around playing on her phone. Our food came quickly but after that no one came around to refill our water glasses. The workers that were walking around earlier suddenly all disappeared. We saw a couple of people coming in for pick ups and the kitchen staff had to call for someone to come greet them.
Attentive staff who clearly care about the food and service. Tasty food. Not spicey though. I recommend asking for spicey sauce as it's tasty.
We are amazed that this place isn't packed every night. It's a hidden gem in Cameron Station. Always great food and incredible service by nice people who actually care! Quiet bar seating side or you can sit on bar side, which is also fun with TVS.
Excellent food!! Great ambiance and great customer service!! Also has full bar. Very highly recommend!!
One of my favorite places for Indian/British food. They had live belly dancing one tonight when I went with guests. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite there and their assorted bread basket.
Had a lunch date with the hubby today; he had previously come to the Curry House with coworkers, and he knew I would enjoy the food. My favorite on today’s buffet was the goat curry, very tender and flavorful, and the mint sauce really complimented the meat. I also enjoyed the spicy lamb and rice offering, as well as the chicken tikka masala. Everything was well prepared, and a nice kick to it without being overly spicy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. When my husband got up for his 2nd plate, someone came over and refolded his linen napkin for him! And when I dropped mine on the floor, he immediately replaced it with a fresh napkin. A man who I assume was the manager for the day, was very interested in our opinion of the mango and quinoa salad offering. He explained they had revamped their menu and were experimenting with some new dishes. We both enjoyed it, but felt the quinoa overpowered the mango flavor. He spent several minutes discussing some of our suggestions. This was all after we were finished eating, so our meal wasn’t interrupted. The decor was beautiful in my opinion. It had some glitz without being gaudy. I really felt as if I was eating at some place special. They offer a special room for private gatherings, that has a gorgeous room-length wooden table. My husband does woodworking so this was pleasing to us both. I thought the English phone box was a fun touch to the decor. I wish I had checked out the restroom, that always tells you something about a place, but I am confident it would have been as clean and classy as the restaurant. I definitely recommend and look forward to returning for a date night in the near future!
It is my fourth time eating there and leaving once , I was much satisfied the rest three visits. The food tastes good and not very spicy. The new management is much welcoming compared to old management and takes good care of the customers. Not but now least the dessert here at buffet will never disappoint you. All four times I went for buffet and not very sure how the dinner time would be.
Way too expensive for curry...I mean seriously $18 for a bowl?
Great food and amazing service. We were surprised when we saw the menu change, but this improves on what was already a fantastic selection. The entire staff is amazing and s/o to Kumar who welcomed us with a great smile and took his time to explain us the new menu. The only suggestion I would make is for you to include maybe one or two more vegan options. The two you have are fantastic, but just to add some variety. Coming back again
Friendly staff with a good HH that starts at 4:30!
Great food and beautiful decor
We had recently moved to Cameron Station and this restaurant is in the neighborhood. It is street parking only, we were greeted immediately and there was no wait for lunch. They had a buffet or menu that day and both my wife and I are vegan or at least vegetarian when dining out. They had a few vegan/vegetarian options but the manager went out of his way to actually tell us what was or wasn't and what everything had in it and also went to the trouble of having bread made with no butter as well as bringing us a complimentary vegan dish the chef made so we could try it. Very nice staff, food was good and price was pretty standard. We don't east a lot of Indian food but would go back.
Really good!!! The buffet on Sunday had all of the curries I wanted to try and the garlic naan and Samosas are delicious.
Exceptional service and food, excellent atmosphere. A great dinner experience.
Simply delicious. And great service.
The Service and the staff deserves a 5 star.. But the food.. not so much, eventhough it looked appetizing; I just wish it was as good as their service!
Before coming to London Curry House I had probably eaten Indian food once...once in my entire life. I had just never really had an interest in it. But one day, I was pressed into coming here and I have to say, it has changed my outlook on life. I am passionate about Indian food now. We typically go during the lunch hour when the buffet is open and there a wide variety of options available. Typically, I'm a little skeptical of buffet food, but London Curry House does a really nice job of paying attention to detail and I've literally never been disappointed with my meal. Not even once. Plus $10 for a high-quality, all you can eat buffet is a deal that's hard to beat. In terms of the food itself, I've mentioned that it's good. I will say that it's not particularly spicy. I know that's a thing people look for in some Indian food. Everything I've had here has been pretty mild so far. That said, it's all cooked fresh, served hot and is overall, really wonderful. I was also surprised to find that going during the lunch hour isn't a hassle...like at all. We've been several times right around noon and instantly been seated and served. The dining area is pretty quiet and the staff are super attentive to your needs. The second you get up to get a new plate of food, a waiter will come over and remove your old plate and make sure your water is filled. They also offer great recommendations and are just very friendly overall. Really recommend this place to anyone looking for an Indian restaurant. It made a believer out of me.
Best Chicken Momos
Went for the lunch buffet. The food was very good and extremely fresh. There is currently a Groupon for 20% off. Highly recommend if you enjoy authentic Indian food!
I recently read that this place is under new management in a list of best new restaurants. I liked it before and hadn't had a chance to return but the word "best" provided motivation to head here again. It is certainly better than it used to be and is now one of my two favorite Indian restaurants in the DMV area. We had lunch consisting of Palat Chat and lamb curry thali. Both were excellent. We had mo mo for an app which isn't on the Lunch special menu but is on the full menu. That, also, was excellent. The service was a little slow but was very accommodating so I won't penalize their rating. I guess that one can't rush quality.
I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for some time. After reading many reviews, my expectations were set high. I wouldn't say it's the best Indian restaurant in the DC Metro area, but it is definitely worth a visit. The venue is trendy, the food was fresh, and the employees I engaged with were friendly. I liked that I could see into the kitchen, it provided a feeling of comfort. Overall it was a good experience.
Really good food! Service was excellent. Hidden inside nice clean neighborhood.
Delicious food, exceptional service, and great atmosphere.
Good environment but so so food
Really terrific food and a lovely atmosphere. Service was great, and the decor made me miss London!
As a full-time traveller since 2011, I have had the pleasure of trying the spicy fare all over the country, But London Curry House has never disappointed me. Their delicious curries has delighted me at every visit. I insist on a trip to London Curry House to satisfy craving, and fortunately their reasonable prices.
The food was fresh and the restaurant is a great place to sit and have lunch and the buffet is reasonably priced . I didn’t give it 4 stars because the food was not very flavorful. If you are looking for authentic Pakistani food, give Kabob Palace or Ravi Kabob a try.
This place is fantastic. My friends and I have been back on several occasions and the service is top-notch.
Delicious...perfectly served!
