REVIEWS OF Lightfoot Restaurant IN Virginia

Pamela Jones

Excellent service from Jose. The appetizers, boneless fried chicken, mussels and Italian sausage, and shrimp cocktail, were all overcooked and under-seasoned.

Leland Browning

The Lightfoot has been excellent the 3 or four times I've been there, everytime. Place has a great atmosphere and the food is consistently good. They helped me pull off a surprise 50th Birthday party for my wife and it was exceptional. They even put together a menu for the kids since there were so many and they were all amazed with the food. When a restaurant does the kids menu right, and its not just Mac and Cheese from a microwave cup, it is greatly appreciated. Customer service is top notch. Highly recommend! One of my favorite places in Northern Virginia.

Christmas decorations are amazing

Sandy Bareham

Awesome restaurant! Used to be a bank in the 1800’s, just a beautiful place! We came for Sunday Brunch. I had the breakfast bowl, with rice, beans & poached eggs, My husband had the lamb sandwich, both were marvelous!! Our server, Bruce was very friendly, attentive & professional. The food tasted fantastic!!! Everyone needs to come here

David Gamble

Came here for our anniversary. The food was phenomenal. The staff was excellent. The chef took account of my wife's food allergy, and slightly altered the special for her. We are definitely coming back.

Brynne McKinsay

Really good food and prices. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Shari Dexter

Steak salad - excellent choice! Cooked to perfection and salad very fresh. Attentive waiter. And dessert was so good that I forgot to get a photo! You'll just have to try it yourself- Mocha-YaYa.

Derek Reinhard

Great food, decent service, impressive architecture, acoustics challenging when the place is full.

chastity johnson

Elyse Baney-Barton

Nice upscale place for lunch.

Paul Acito

Great meal we will be coming back

Alissa D'Auria

Delicious! Had the Chinatown salad, and it was huge and tasty! Also had the peach cobbler for dessert. So nice and buttery.

Barbara Albro

Beautiful historic building with a lot of solid wood details inside- particularly the fireplace and the ceiling. Good food. We were underdressed but not shabby- no Jean's or t-shirts. The manager said that we could sit at the bar. there was a high top table available in the bar so we chose that rather than the actual bar. Later, the manager commented,a little too loudly, to the bar tender(whobwas serving the var and the high top tables)that he had told us to sit at the bar. The restaurant was not crowded as it was almost 3:00 in the afternoon. The manager should have spoken directly to us about it rather than the bartender. We Hope to return for dinner and to have a better experience with the manager.

Don Chapman

Ultimate dining experience in Leesburg!

Thomas Geery

Great food and atmosphere, excellent service! Really enjoyed our evening.

Brian Taylor

Filet was incredible. Venue is beautiful.

Debra Sigler

Excellent food, excellent service! William the manager at Lightfoot webt above and upon tonight to help us. Tonight after we had dined at Lightfoot, we had car issues and William helped us until our problem was resolved and we were on our way safely home.

Brenda Allen

We celebrated the life of our uncle...he told us to have a party!

Nancy Gross

One of our favorite places to eat.

Pamelia Sola

Wonderful experience

John Taima

Amazing brunch. Tim, our server, was attentive, informative and pleasant. Strawberry mimosas, squash gazpacho, tenderloin gyro and banana blueberry waffles. All were delicious. The restaurant itself is beautiful (in a converted bank) across from the old courthouse. Beautiful place, fantastic food. Already planning our return visit.

Rob Ellis

I have been coming to lightfoot for years, and it still holds up to the hype. Food is always outstanding, the staff is always friendly and attentive, and the mixologists behind the bar create some outstanding cocktails. Lightfoot is a great balance between fine dining and a relaxing hangout spot. Came here most recently for dinner after proposing to my fiancee. They provided us with a complimentary glass of champagne upon hearing the news which was a great touch.

Erin Nuckols

Food was great but the whipped cream included in the dessert had no sugar incorporated- there are only a handful of ingredients required for whipped cream so I was surprised it was omitted. Update on 10/19 - Thank you Carrie for taking the time to respond and we will definitely be return customers!

Tim Smith

Great food, great service.

Mike Baynar

Great service! Delicious food! Inside the building it is full of some very nice architectural detailing. Would always go back.

Robert Racek

Lovely ambiance and decor. Food is very good however it does not justify the price. Smart to try happy hour deals. Try it and judge for yourself. Service was excellent!

Fredrick James

Best restaurant in Leesburg, must go to.

Boadicea Fulham

Food was superb and service was exceptional. Ambiance is one of casual elegance. Great place for a special event such as a birthday or anniversary. Definitely worth the price.

Ricardo Lozada

Best grilled cheese

Cheryl Concelman

This was my first visit, but surely will not be my last. The food, service and atmosphere are quite nice. The decor is wonderful and conducive to a special meal out. I would recommend Lightfoot highly.

Jeff Williams

I love the decor and the services was super attentive. We had the crab dip for our starter. It was delicious and had large crab meat chunks. The tomato soup was spicy and flavorful. I had the Eat Your Veggies with pasta. Definitely will have it again. Lightfoot is my new go to when I come to Leesburg.

Linda towns

I went to Lightfoot by accident. Tried to go somewhere else but they still allowed smoking, so no. Order an appetizer and they brought an”taster” out as well. And more importantly the bar service is so efficient and welcoming!

Rob L

The place was nice but not mind blowing, my wife and I went there after we received a gift card from our wedding. Service was Okay... Towards the end when we were leaving a few servers were coming in as we were leaving and instead of holding the door for us they walked through. Food was average, and they sat us in the corner by an large group of people who were extremely loud and annoying. I am willing to try again but am not in any rush.

Paul Chaloux Jr

I gave this restaurant a lower ranking by mistake. Actually, it was excellent

LOCOMOMMA 77

Truly unbelievable ambiance, but the customer service experience and the food lacked in so many ways. Guys, you can't hide behind a cool space and expect people to call it great -- maybe that worked 10 years ago in Leesburg, but there are too many really fantastic restaurants around to drive in cruise control. You need to drive much harder and deliver on customer service and food when charging the prices you charge. And poor a glass of wine that matters for crying out loud. The little measurer thing you do is so tacky. People like a full glass not a clinical computation of the perfect 4 ounces. Maybe eat at some nice places to see what others are doing? This is a fancy Bennigan's with the potential to be so much more. Maybe next time...

Lydia Brauser

Unclear what all the positive reviews are for.... crab dip was cold and fishy- waiter did take it off the bill. The French onion soup tasted like over salted canned gravy. I don’t think there were any fresh ingredients- Sysco frozen food at its worst. We felt like a massive inconvenience to our waiter’s evening. If you enjoy frozen food, rude comments, but a semi cool atmosphere- highly recommend...

Robert Kelly

This was a destination birthday dinner for my mom. We found the restaurant when we visited Leesburg for the Marshall House. The building was originally a bank and presents a unique space for a restaurant. The service and food were excellent.

Lawrence Webb

Wonderful place in Old Town Leesburg - a must visit and worth driving to if you are coming from a distance. Looking forward to my next visit, hopefully soon :)

Elizabeth Vaughan

Lightfoot is our favorite place to go to celebrate special occasions. You can't go wrong with anything on chef Ingrid's menu, but especially don't miss the crab bisque! The wine list has good variety and is thoughtfully curated for a range of price points. We also love the ambiance of this beautiful, historic former bank building. Reservations highly recommended, especially on weekends.

Becky O'Neil

Delicious oysters Rockefeller!

Kim K

I have been going there for at least the last 18 years. I gave up two years ago after receiving extremely chewy prime rib. I gave it another try and was blatantly lied to by my server. What I ordered and what I received were 2 entirely different things. And I may add no apology was given. If you're serving food please know what you're serving.

Marcus Cherundolo

Great spot! Wonderful vibe, great food.

Joseph Pettinelli

Great food and a terrific, historic venue.

Peter Donado

Nice atmosphere, good food and service. The one thing that can improve on is to train their servers to make sure to speak slowly and loud enough for the people at the table to hear . Our waitress was from another country and her accent combined with her speaking in a low voice and fast really made it difficult for us to understand her. We kept having to ask her to repeat things so that we were actually able to understand what she said.

Jessica Henderson

I have been coming to Lightfoot for years and I am always happy here. The food is fantastic and the building is gorgeous. I always get there tomato soup and fried green tomatoes. Or I will order the mushroom strudel during dinner. I sometimes come here for brunch which is also great. I tell my friends/family about this place and recommend it to them all the time. Still the BEST and CLASSIEST restaurant in Leesburg. I do not like that these bars and restaurants do happy hours allll day and attract a certain crowd. Lightfoot is more prestigious in that way.

Jon Mays

Always a great meal and a great atmosphere! Ingrid (Chef and co-owner with Sister Carrie) always puts out an excellent meal. This is a great place for lunch and dinner! Parking is in the rear of the building and the city parking garage is just across the street. This place is also good for corporate functions. Several years ago I held my company Christmas party in their banquet room upstairs and they did a fantastic job with the food and service! I highly recommend this place for any corporate function or just for a casual but elegant dining experience! There is also a chef's table in the kitchen which is very nice!

Ralph Avery

Super place. Excellent food and wonderful service in a elegantly remodeled bank building from the days when they were architectural statements. Our go-to place when we are enjoying Leesburg.

Nancy McBride

Beautiful historic building with excellent food. Service was great and portions were huge. Desserts looked amazing but no room.

David Kyzner

Excellent service, great atmosphere, savory. Honey ham mini biscuits and mushroom strudel were excellent appetizers. Old bank Building added history, circa 1888, and the bar was inviting.

Sylvia.

Great food, great service, beautiful ambiance. I love this restaurant. Historic building. Will come back next time I am in Leesburg!

Cynthia Talbot

An old bank has been converted to a white linen restaurant. They kept many of the beautiful features including the vault doors. Top quality food, courteous wait staff. Prices are mildly high but well worth it for what you get. In the lovely historic section of Leesburg.

Nicole M

The restaurant is in a beautiful building. The service and food were great and huge portions. So good!

Sylvia Harris

This restaurant is in a beautiful old bank. They’ve managed to incorporate the vault doors into the decor. Chef Ingrid’s menu is so full of everyone’s favorites including Everyone’s Favorite Salad that she has trouble making changes in the menu. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed.

Marcela Boleac

My husband and I come to Lightfoot whenever we have a special occasion. We love this restaurant. The food and service never disappoints. I get the halibut every time I go there , it’s simply delicious

Yvonne Jansen, Broker & New Home Specialist

Always amazing food and great times.

Tati K.

Grest Happy hour

Fredy Burgos

The staff was attentive and the food was top caliber. I am a big guy and would have perfer stiffer seat cushions on the bench seating. Nonetheless the architecture was beautiful and a place for impressing family and clients. I would highly recommend it.

Reggie Gaither

Our waiter was really nice but not very attentive. My wife's steak was overcooked and I was told that my meal came with rockfish but when it came out or was swordfish. The best part of the meal was dessert. They had a special banana cake. It was amazing. We come Lightfoot all the time and usually everything is great. This just seemed to be an off night.

Harry Yazbek

A Leesburg tradition, I have a few "go to" dishes, one is fried oyster salad, best in have ever had. Salmon salad is almost just as good. Great service, a lot of history in that building, which used to be a bank, the vault is still there. Great for business meeting, lunch and dinner. Happy hour is also just as good.

Nicalena Neary

Lightfoot Restaurant is an upscale restaurant located in Leesburg VA. It is housed in a former Bank Building right across from The Courthouse. The atmosphere is elegant. The food is excellent. There is a full page of daily specials all made with fresh and often local sourced ingredients. There is something for everyone, fish, poultry, steaks and a nice variety of salads and vegetarian dishes. They are famous for their Tomato Soup. It is thick and creamy with a little bit of kick. It is usually very busy so reservations are a good idea.

John Smith

The environment was great, steak and crab superb but the rockfish was below average and "fishy" compared to other places I have eaten.

Monay James

Excellent food. Not a huge selection- standard size, but everything offered seemed appetizing. We had a crab dip special as an appetizer and it was probably the best crab dip I've ever had. Lump crab covered the bottom of the sizzling skillet plate, with a layer of cheese on top. Served with bread and crackers. Awesome! My meal of shrimp and grits was even better the next day. Restaurant is located in what appears to be a former bank. Nice atmosphere and cozy feel. Loved that the tables didn't appear to be stacked on top of each other. Highly recommend this establishment.

Jeremy Helbing

I haven't been to Lightfoot in some time but I was pleased to see that the food and service are still excellent. Great menu and presentation.

Frank DeGaray

Very cool setting. Old bank building that incorporates it's rich history into the dining experience. Bar was top notch. Food was excellent. They do tend to run a little behind with seating for reservations. We were seated at 8:05 for a 7:30 reservation.

Linda Benton

We attended a rehearsal dinner in the upstairs of this beautiful old bank-turned- restaurant. It has many original design elements if the original bank. The bar service was very efficient and the food quite good and fresh, even for a buffet for large group.

Mel Genna

Will go again. Well worth it. They are upscale and have great atmosphere.

steve santamaria

My wife and I stopped in for drinks before the U2 Tribute band show at Tally Ho theater. We started out with espresso martinis and followed that up with the bartenders drink of the day Blueberry/Apple martini. While enjoying our drinks we noted the great food being served and decided to order a few appetizers. We ordered the Scallops along with the Ham biscuits both were served hot and were delicious! A great restaurant with great service, will be back!

Ryan Lantzy

The Mongolian pork chop special was amazing. Crab dip appetizer was delicious. And the banana bread pudding was the bomb.

Delila Welch

Had the best wine and steak here. Great atmosphere. Vwry attentive and knowledgeable staff

Jeovanny Romero

Delicious food and very nice service

Stephan Peterson

Very good food and atmosphere

Shawn Harrison

Excellent service. LOVE the crab bisque and freshly baked breads. Will go back just for the soup. Entree was just okay...especially for the price. Lunch is a better bargain, and more enjoyable options, than dinner.

Christina Burns

Amazing shrimp and lobster pasta.

Jasmin Harris

Extraordinary staff, fantastic management, beautiful environment, good drinks, delicious oysters. The duck quesadilla was awful, the salmon plank and scallops were over cooked but over all, it was a pleasant dining experience.

Alison Carr

This restaurant was amazing. We went for our anniversary and the menu was fantastic. The service was great; attentive but not intrusive. And the wine list was very approachable. Would recommend this place to all my friends for a fancy night out.

Katherine Arehart

Will definitely go again. Went for our anniversary so didn't mind that it was expensive. The food was delicious, very well prepared and presented. Portions were actually larger than expected. Service staff were great. We were really happy with every course. Nothing on the menu was a disappointment. Took most of main courses home because thier deserts looked incredible and we wanted to try them. Was well worth the 50 minute drive to get there.

Kathleen Miller

Great place to eat. Great food and service in an elegant and calm setting.

Vineyard Acoustics

Delicious food! Best service!

Gary Morgan

Nice high end restaurant. Service was slow but food was great. Old bank building was a delight.

Maria Josephs

Excellent dinner and service!

Diane Sterbutzel

Relaxing atmosphere and great food in a Charming former bank restoration.

Dalrek

Immerse yourself in the grand People's National Bank of the 1850's. The building is enormous and beautifully constructed with fancy decor and elaborate carvings (look at the ceiling). The wait staff is extremely nice, polite, and knowledgeable about their surroundings. And when it comes to food.. wow do they know how to cook. Every bite that I took was exquisite and expertly crafted by the chefs that occupy the restaurant. When it comes to choose a classy American style restaurant to eat at, Lightfoot will be the place I choose, with perfect prices, amazing atmosphere, and fantastic food.

bill the drummer

Stopped for lunch.. awesome old bank building with marble and high ceilings... food and service were outstanding.. good wine list. I will be back for dinner next time

J .Gittleman

Elegant decor very good food and service.

Roxane Holmes

Lightfoot Restaurant can be counted on for consistently delicious and interesting food. The service is also wonderful. Our server ran out and put money in the parking meter for my car! That is above and beyond. It is my go-to place in Leesburg. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed from soup to dessert.

Zack Long

Great food and atmosphere

Barbara Diaz

First time here. I heard so much about it and on two lunches the potatoes were black inside. We did quietly tell the waiter not that anyone came and said anything about it. So not the best first impression

Lorcan Kelly

Best happy hour in Leesburg. Hit it at least once a week

Cathy Halliwell

Great place for a small wedding! Friendly and efficient staff!

Hermi Beach

A phantasitic place. An old Bank renovated to a restauraunt. Absolut qualified frontline staff and perfect food, try the Steaks! When ever i will be in Virginia, i will be definatly pass by hopefully with the same company. Thank u Joseph to show me this place. After its possible tp join few Bars nearby if u are in the mood. I Love Virginia, i Love the USA

Targeting Techy

Great food, but service was wanting. Will definitely try one more time.

Katharine Cole

Nice variety of superb entrees. Excellent wines. Beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Joe Kunec

Very nice atmosphere and frankly, some of the best food I've eaten in my life. The staff is amazing, the ambiance is wonderful. I took my wife here for my anniversary as well as we've been with friends. Simply amazing, you must try it at least once (but trust me, you'll be back). A little more on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for and the portions are nice and seriously, the food is out of this world.

Z

This is my favorite restaurant. The food is good, staff attentive and pleasant and it is a pleasure to dine here.

Ryan Chelberg

Went in for a drink and aps. Sat for 10 mins while no one bothered to serve us, while not being busy, then got upset when we decided to leave from lack of service...

Amy Oliver

Delicious as always. Get the scallop appetizer it was fantastic!

Thalia Hagerup

Service great, environment lovely, food very good.

Rami T

Looked this place up online and thought it would be awesome to take my fiancé for dinner. After reading some reviews, I noticed they had a piano upstairs and some private seating. Too bad I never got to enjoy any of this establishments food or service because we waited for such a long time to be seated that we decided to leave instead. I called and made a reservation Saturday morning for 8:30pm and arrived 5 minutes early. When we got there, the hostess asked if we’d like to sit at the bar while we wait. I got a little confused as to why I would have to wait. I asked if we could be seated in the private area upstairs and she said it was only for events. I made sure I told the other hostess that we had a reservation in hopes she would get a sense of urgency. Rather than make a scene or ask to speak to the manager we just left.

Paul Lewis

This restaurant was amazing. Gluten Free options clearly labelled on the normal menu and many choices to choose from both in terms of main courses and desserts. I chose the Halibut for main and the Ya Ya for dessert both of which I can thoroughly recommend. Staff were friendly and did not clear plates until both of us had finished eating. We even had the manager come and check we were okay. Although marginly the most expensive meal this holiday, it was well worth it.

Shannon Phillips

Had another amazing celebration at Lightfoot. So accommodating, so delicious...such brilliant service!! Do not hesitate frequenting this local gem!!!

rose mcdonald

A wonderful experience! We had a large group, including 3 small children, and spent much of the time standing and talking. Our server and all the staff were so kind and patient. Food was excellent! Highly recommended!

Christine O'Reilly

Always great filet mignon. Yummm

Mina Ad

We went to Lightfoot for the good reviews. The food is average, appetizers are more delicious than the entrees though. Our server forgot our wine which I got by the end of my appetizer. Our server didn't come back to check on us, so much I had no utensilies to eat my entree. Very dissapoirnitg, it ruined a family celebration. I'd recommend The Wine Kitchen better.

Pam Mika

Great Mother's day breakfast. Always great food and the atmosphere is so unique!

Scott Wilhoit

Top notch, beginning to end. Historic settingscombined with charm, outstanding food, and surpassed only by the service. I was visiting from out of town and can't wait for my next trip to Leesburg to dine at Lightfoot.

Harsha Sarjapur

Lightfoot has historical value located across Court house in Leesburg, this restaurant once was a bank and they still have couple of vaults in place where they store all their good secret recipes. Grt place to grab a drink and dine, with good service from staff and very friendly to set the mood

Jannen Hermann

Lightfoot is my favorite restaurant in my hometown & a must go whenever I’m back in town. I took my mother here for her birthday brunch. We both had the vegetarian breakfast bowl which was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and our server was kind enough to bring her a complimentary dessert, as well as the insatiably delicious sticky buns! The quality meal we enjoyed paired with the ambiance of the vaulted bank ceilings makes returning a no-brainer!

Steve Winnicki

Very cool place !

horseandogs

Every time I go to lightfoot I have a wonderful experience. The staff is very professional and the hosts are very nice and hard working, especially the nice red haired girl. We had José for our server and he is awesome! Food is delicious and the ambience and atmosphere of lightfoot is something you can’t find anywhere else in Leesburg!

Angel Rodriguez

Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. An added value they have parking in the back.

Justin Timbs

The setting was beautiful and the food was well done.

TheFat Redneck

I give this restaurant 4 out of 5 starts because the food was great. I had the Filet Mignon and my girlfriend had the Salmon Salad. Then for dessert I enjoyed the Mocha Ya Ya and my girlfriend enjoyed they Creme Brulee. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is the fact that our waiter only came over to us about 5 times while the rest of the tables around us always had a waiter checking in on them. But over all a great place with great food and a great atmosphere.

Nicholas Guidos

Great food here, the environment of the restaurant sets itself apart from many others. Highly recommend if you haven't been here.

Karrington Greenlee

The building is beautiful, the food is amazing and the service is great. The waiter was very attentive and helpful. I had the crab bisque and I would highly recommend that even if you get it as an appetizer with your meal. It had a ton of crab in it and it was very tasty. For an upscale restaurant the lunch prices were very reasonable as well!

Adam Sturman

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating. The venue and decor are excellent. Food is just OKAY, especially when compared with the prices. I came for lunch, and I'll try the dinner sometime in the future. I hope to upgrade my rating then.

Ron Shelby

Good Food Delivered in a Comfortable Environment

Carl Ward

My husband and I arrived between 11:00 and 12 noon for lunch. Being visitors to the area and patrons a couple of times in the past with local family, however for dinner, we were looking forward to the cuisine. We entered thru the back entrance and stood near the bar area, looking for the hostess area. Wait and server staff were constantly walking past us. No one greeted us, including the bartender, or asked if we needed help. At the time, they were not that busy, for a Monday. We found the hostess and were promptly seated, in the back, near the bar. Six or seven minutes later we were offered drinks. After waiting another 12-15 minutes, and again being ignored, we got up and proceeded to walk out. If our attire was an issue, as we were in "street clothes" and not business, perhaps dress rules should be posted on the doors.

Jose Angel Martinez

excellent food and service. love it.

Bill Lang

What a surprise! Not at all what I was expecting in downtown Leesburg! Very upscale, but not pretentious feel. Staff was superb. Knew menu well and great service

Michael McVicker

This is an outstanding restaurant. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant without being stuffy. The decor includes a whole series of beautiful turn-of-the century advertising posters in French, that cover the walls. The quality of the food is superb, with an excellent selection. The staff are thoroughly professional. Some of the items on the menu can be somewhat pricey but if you can afford to order them the dining experience is well worth it. This is definitely an excellent place to go for a special occasion. It is by far my favorite restaurant in Leesburg. Very highly recommended.

Caroline Miley

Fancy and has great dessert but not that good for picky eaters.

Gazza Cov

The place is quite is expensive but they do serve quality food. plus the place is elegant. Plus the waitress wears a smile on their faces always even though they were busy great treatment for their guest!

Michael Batipps

Classic Restaurant, Traditional wonderful food

Angel Xyra H-Cann

My husband and I have been patrons of Lightfoot for nearly a decade. The food is fantastic, as are the decor, ambiance, and staff. I have noticed, however, that said staff are overwhelmed on Sundays, due to an extremely busy Sunday brunch time. When my husband and I choose to dine in the bar area, at Lightfoot, on Sunday afternoon, my food in particular is rarely quite right. The bartender has too many tasks to keep up with everything, and the kitchen on Sunday afternoons seems to suffer as well. I believe their conscientious manager and owners are working on that. I might suggest having two bartenders on Sundays, as backup, when the going gets rough will help. All told... Lightfoot remains our beloved, go-to restaurant in all of Leesburg. 5 Stars are barely enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Christopher Glinski

Awesome restaurant that used to be a bank. Wait staff was very friendly and food was great. They have the best French onion soup I can find in the DC area. It is an absolute MUST when eating here!

Samuel Lair

Good food, good music, amazing architecture!

Kevin Hylton

Service is top notch. Atmosphere is on point. Food is intriguing and always good.

Zachary Yocca

Went here for brunch on Sunday and was not disappointed. Great food, friendly staff, and a beautiful restaurant. Their banquet rooms and private dining rooms are equally as nice. Private bar upstairs for events as well.

R C

Nice semi-upscale place with excellent food. The choices were unique and not your typical NOVA boring garbage. A refreshing change of pace. Highly recommend if in the small town.

Kit B.

It was okay. The food was good. Very good drinks. But the service (waiter) was less than exceptional, and exceptional is what one expects at such prices.

John Holmes

Just took my wife there to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal. It is a pricey place suitable for special occasions for people like myself of more modest means. But when considering the quality of the food you will be getting, the pricing is more than fair. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice night out.

W D

Almost always a excellent place to go. We were going there a lot for awhile but of course too much of one place gets to be too much as you find yourself knowing the menu... but that kind of speaks to how much we enjoy it there. Only once I thought the service was a little slow, but it happens. I think 4 and half stars is more appropriate... I may change it to 5 stars. We went there for a nice Christmas menu the last time we were there and they did not disappoint at all. First class all the way.

Ryan Nichols

Delicious food. Excellent ambiance.

Alec Minor

Very nice dinner. The ambiance is key here, doesn't hurt that the food is really good.

Stephen Bosanko

Great brunch! Cool building! Service was ok.

Iam Khalif

The design of the place is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and the food is outstanding! Kudos to Chef Ingrid. My spouse and I will be back

Faith M

A special place and go often. Only had an issue once with a meal, and the door of the wine for Waiters to access by our table. I don't know why, but the front dining area on the fireplace side is always too cool for comfort. I'll go back.

Mason Tincher

What an awesome place. Great restaurant to eat and definitely somewhere to stop by while visiting the Town of Leesburg.

John Greeley

Me and my wife stopped by for a family dinner with my parents for her birthday. Everything was awesome! We will differently be going back. I have lived in Leesburg all my life and had never stopped by because, I use a wheelchair and down town sucks for wheelchairs. However Lightfoot has a really nice area to park behind it. I also noticed they have outside seating that looked awesome. We just have to find a day its not raining to go eat out back.

Christina Brock

Great restaurant in Leesburg! They also do small events upstairs. Their food is delicious. The location used to be a bank Wwwaay back when and the old vault is still decorating the walls behind the bar, the whole place is beautiful. They also have free parking behind the restaurant, kinda hard to find the entrance unless you know to look for it. I will definitely go back!

Christopher Townsend

All around amazing. The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable, food was out of this world, and the atmosphere is superb. Will back for sure!

Amanda Caputo

Waitress was rude. Rushed us and had an attitude majority of our stay. Food was rather bland and over priced :/

Pony Girl

Lobster and shrimp angel hair - very good. The cream sauce was divine, and the tomato bits added the perfect piquant touch.

Art Wood

Several tables affected by POOR MANAGERS. The food could be rated a 4 however the management and the waiter are a 1. Went for a nice quiet dinner and they stuck in a small section with 8 VERY LOUD college girls who thought they were the only ones there. I complained to a fat bald manager who did absolutely nothing and the waiter who could only say whoops sorry. I will never darken the door where they don’t care about customers just your money .

Penny Miller

A friend and I found ourselves in "downtown" Leesburg a few days ago and stopped @ Lightfoot Restaurant for lunch. It is located in a beautiful old building, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. Our server was lousy, not friendly, very nonchalant, not attentive (the floor manager was good). I ordered tenderloin eggs Benedict and was served a few pieces of rather tough beef (well done) and the eggs were hard. I returned the meal and received eggs that were runny (as they should be) ~ this was through the floor manager, not the server. The Hollandaise sauce, however, was seriously lacking in flavor and the potatoes (advertised as roasted) were very blase, appeared and tasted as though they had been sitting around the kitchen for a while. AND, the Benedicts were $18.50!!! I live in Arlington, VA, which has become a pretty spendy area and the Benedicts locally are $15 or less in rather upper scale restaurants ~ and the food is great!!! Perhaps Leesburg has out-priced itself as even the streets seemed shabby. I would certainly never recommend this restaurant and never return.

Went there a few years back and it was amazing. Must have changed the chef. Ordered the duck. Came out way undercooked fat wasn't crisped it was more gelatinous. Gnocchi was bland. Sent the duck back for a cook up, came back a few minutes later and the waiter warned me the plate was hot. I understand throwing it in a Vulcan to get it to temp, but not re-plating it is just lazy, plus now you've really ruined the already bland gnocchi. Duck was still undercooked by the way, just more sauce thrown over it to hide the blood. Ate less than 1% of the meal, waiter asked if I wanted it boxed. I told him no throw it away. No follow up questions, no table visit, no return business. $118.00 spent on garbage. Also, booked the reservation noting it was my wife's birthday. They ask this when booking online. Waiter didn't mention it. May not have been his fault, but there seems to be a lack of communication. Very underwhelmed.

Beautiful place with a 1920's feel. Good happy hour.

This was quite a find! We loved it. Great service, ambiance and food. The lamb au jus was lovely.

$$$... Extensive wine list, with reasonably priced glasses, local wines, West coast premium wines, great French and Italian selections as well. The dinner choices are also varied, and I enjoyed the Sicilian Chicken marsala on sauteed spinach. The venue is a remodeled bank and is very elegant, high ceilings and Greek pillars abound, with the lion theme a nice touch. Delicious desserts, and plenty of gluten free choices across the menu. This would be a great place to host a party or anniversary if cost is not an issue. Definitely an elegant dinner in Leesburg.

We went for our Anniversary dinner. It was festive. The service was excellent. The food was delicious and beautiful. The old bank building is so elegant and refined. We loved our dining experience.

Wow - what a fun restaurant! It's in an old bank, and they're retained not only some of the internal structure, but much of the charm with their interior vaulted doors. Love the staircase leading to a mezzanine landing that has both dining and a baby grand piano! There are several meeting rooms upstairs - both large and small - which would be useful for business meetings as well as parties. Our meal was terrific - and ended with a chocolate mousse pie topped by - WHO KNEW?! - cotton candy! How cool is that?!

We used to come here with my family years ago and decided to make the almost 2 hour drive to come back. Let me tell you it was way worth the trip. Being from Annapolis I can certify that the Better Than Maryland Crab Bisque definitely earned it's name. There is lots of crab, just the right amount of sherry and loads of creamy goodness. You will also never find better fried green tomatoes. They are perfectly breaded, topped with jalapeno cheddar cheese, a shrimp, and the szechuan chili sauce gives them just the right amount of heat. My husband had the maple glazed halibut which was also delicious, I couldn't stop stealing bites. The portion of fish was generous, not overly sweet which can sometimes happen with maple, it was totally the star of the dish with just enough of the other elements to complement it. I was still on a crab kick so I the crab cake sandwich and again it was a great portion of jumbo lump crab meat not loaded with filler, you just get that great crab flavor and the dill sauce just adds to that flavor. It is hard to find a restaurant that checks all the boxes but Lightfoot has managed to knock it out of the park consistently for years. Thank you Chef Ingrid for making our visit special. We can't wait to come back.

This place looks super fancy and the server was really nice. My husband really enjoyed his meal he had a steak. I ordered eggplant parm and it was pretty bad. The eggplant was undercooked inside, burnt on the outside and there was no salt on it at all! That means bitter, burnt, and bland mush. I sent it back and got a salad. Pretty pricey for just ok food.
