Here we offer you all the reviews of real people who are using the products of Lehja Restaurant (Restaurant) in the area close to the state of Virginia.
At the moment the firm has a rating of 4.3 stars over 5 and the rating is based on 434 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is positive, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to write opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
was in town for a conference and was highly recommended by a friend to eat here. unfortunately it was disappointing as my order materialized and reached my table, had issues with getting service, probably because they were overwhelmed with the crowd due to conference. flavor for the vegetarian dishes was also off, asked for medium spice and it came bland.
Great food, and quantity! We went there for lunch, I had Punjabi Curry which was delicious and when they boxed the leftovers I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had boxed one new portion of rice! Service was also good. Thank you!
Good Indian food restaurant. Good ambiance. The food menu was decent. Paneer options are good. I tried the fig based curry, but didn’t like it much. Convenient location. Staff was friendly. Reasonable pricing.
One server for a party of 32 including kids, pathetic.
Excellent food. Amazing service. We went during one of the busiest nights and were immediately seated, the food came out quickly, and our server was extremely attentive and all staff members gave us top notch service. Poultry and all ingredients are always fresh. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!
While the restaurant is very nice and the service was attentive, the food was inconsistent. We had the scallop appetizer and samosas to start. If the three scallops, two were well done (firm in the center) and one was rare (translucent and semi raw). The samosas were dry in the center and the dough was hard on the outside, tasting as if they had been reheated too much. The tandoori chicken dish my wife had was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The tandoori medley I had was a mixed bag in terms of quality. The chicken was good here as well, but the lamb was borderline overcooked and fairly dry. The shrimp was absolutely overcooked and hard. The curry sauce that came in the side was amazing, and the garlic naan was good. Lehja's prices are high, for that price, the execution in the kitchen needs to be better. It didn't help that their air-conditioning wasn't working and it was humid in the restaurant.
Love it or hate it. This place is overpriced, but if you like the food then it's worth it.
Food is great and tasty and Pricey
Worst experience ever. I can see lot of good reviews but my experience was different. Us two families went for dinner on a weekend and food tastes awful and seems like they are not interested to server at all. Don't you think, the curomers deserves little more from you guys for the money we are paying???
They served dishes with the name of Indian state like Kashmir ki princess and attractive name like chicken makhani. Food quality is normal not as Indian authentic taste.
Some of the best Indian food around the RVA.
Great food and friendly staff. Prices are good too
Fantastic food and service.
While my appetizer with goat cheese was a glorified mozzarella stick/patty, my entree of chicken dalcha was divine. I would definitely recommend based on food alone, with the plus of great decor and great service.
Had an amazing experience tonight at Lehja. We had the kale and spinach chopped salad, fried cauliflower, Paneer Pakora (not on the menu), lamb shank, chicken tikka, garlic naan, and pistachio ice cream. Honestly the food was fantastic and the service by Ali was superb! We will be back. Our new favorite restaurant in Richmond!
BEST DINING EXPERIENCE IN RICHMOND!
Wonderful! Lehja has some of the best Indian that I have had in years. The entrees were perfect and the sauces were not overpowering. Highly recommend this place if you love good Indian.
The food and the service here are excellent. I came with my husband and infant son for dinner on a Friday night, the hostess found us a table with ample room for our stroller. I ordered my favorite dish, saag paneer, and was sad to note that the flavor was a bit off. I was disappointed because we don't often get to go out to eat (because of the aforementioned infant) so I decided to be honest when our server asked how our food was. Our server immediately apologized and said that he would have my dish remade, he then refilled our naan basket while my food was being prepared. He brought out fresh saag paneer along with another tomato-based dish for my husband and I to sample. I was blown away by the service. I have never sent food back or bothered to mention if it wasn't perfect because I didn't think that the kitchen would really care. At Lehja the kitchen and the servers definitely care about the food they are serving people. This place is amazing, we will definitely be back.
Yummy food! Definitely one of the best tasting Indian meals.
Good service ! But the food quality depends on the people who cook, its not the same always..lacks consistency. Good food overall.
Wonderful food, wonderful service. I have had many dishes, and loved them all! The owner is delightful, and very passionate about quality. Highly, highly recommend!
I absolutely love this place. I tried authentic Indian cuisine for the first time here over 6 years ago and no matter how many other places I try, none have been as great as Lehja. My favorite is the tika masala with chicken. The meat is lean and cooked perfectly. You choose the heat level for your taste. The naan is cooked perfectly as well. If you have never tried this place I highly recommend stopping in. The service is also amazing and the servers are helpful in pairing your preferences to the right dish.
Food was good service was bad. When asked to repeat order , waiter was just saying random stuff. Bill was already ready, waiter tried hard to make sure we don't order anymore . The cleaning person did not even ask if we r finished and was grabbing plates.
I absolutely loved this place and you will too! Great authentic curry, I had the lamb and spice level was perfect and the prices were reasonable. They also have a vast wine selection
Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to! Owner is so personable and nice + the ambiance and location is amazing! Food is good too!
Excellent cusines. Great ambiance.
Atmosphere is okay. Wait staff barely acknowledges your presence. The food is minimal and lacking much flavor. Really excited to go based on other reviews, but they definitely dropped the ball and not something I would go back to.
Fantastic location and even super service combined with tasty Indian food that tastes like home cooked. Well done
Amazing Authentic Great service. I highly recomend !!!
We love Lehja. Portions are just not too big, which is a good thing. Very authentic Punjabi food that's more healthy than usual restaurants.
They left out salad, smaller portions than Lemon, asked for medium hot and it was barely mild, naan not very flavorful, more expensive than Lemon
Have been here many, many times. Always exceeds expectations. My favorite restaurant in Richmond. We started with the spinach chat. Incredible. I had a lamb curry for entree. The lamb was tender and flavorful. Beyond excellent meal.
Amazing food and amazing service. Highly recommend this place. Great Indian food. One of the best Goat Curry’s I have ever had. If you are visiting Richmond, definitely stop by this place!
In the heavily competitive Richmond restaurant scene, Lehja truly stands apart. Their food, particularly their lamb, is easily among the best in the greater Richmond area, and their beer selection includes drafts from storied names like Veil and Ocelot. Their owner Sunny is a genius, turning out delicious dish after dish, and a genuinely nice and personable guy. Please all. Do yourself a favor and grab a meal here. You won't regret it.
Dining at Lehja is an was an experience and I wish I could have tbis experience all the time if I would have been living here. But every time I come here this place gives me happiness. I like the Chaat here the most, probably better than india. The ambiance, the ccleanliness, attentive service and on top of that the delicious food. This is by far my favorite place to eat Indian in the USA.
Probably one of the best Indian restaurants in RVA. The food was plated beautifully & super tasty. Servers were friendly & helpful with descriptions/suggestions. This is not your traditional restaurant housed in a hotel. Our first visit was awesome and we will go again.
Good food n wine. Pleasant interior
Excellent! I love Indian food, this is on another level.
Best Indian food in all of Richmond, IMHO.
Foods look lazy , looks like they reheated and served to us, I don’t wanted to give bad review but food was not that much fresh , staff are all good and nice but I came to lehja for food not for their staff and decorations
Great vegetarian selection, incredibly tasty and got to our table quickly. Overall incredible!
The food was too good but the quantity was very less when we ordered for a take home
Great atmosphere, very nice looking interior Very good food but small quantity compared to other Indian restaurants I been to.
This is one of the best restaurants in Richmond. Extensive wine list and very knowledgeable about pairing. They did a special tasting dinner for my brother in law who has Indian heritage and the tastes took him back to his childhood. The team is special here and the food is exquisite. Let them experiment for you. You will not be disappointed.
Nice ambiance and authentic food. Must try lamb biryani.
2nd time visiting and still great food and great service. I'd spell the dishes I had if I were not afraid of getting the names wrong. The Saag Paneer however was the highlight of the evening.
Delicious food with a modern twist. taste is awesome. Never had such a good food in a while. A bit pricey yeah but worth it.
Pricey and not authentic indian
Always a great experience. Thank you!
Some of the best Indian food I have had. Their bunch menu is perfect and an amazing price.
This is the best indian food in the area hands down. The dishes were perfectly cooked and creative. The atmosphere was cozy and service was impeccable. They also had a great wine selection.
Indian food done well, service outstanding.
This is such an amazing restaurant and I wish I could afford to go there more often. The restaurant owner spends time explaining how he makes your entree and every dish jat I've ever had there has been consistently amazing. Very fresh and spices very tasteful.
I feel like all the good review are fake here,,, or maybe they changed now idk what it is I went here recently food, service, was so bad that i couldnt describe Worst indian food in all over America Service is a joke
Really good quality food with amazing service!!! Loved the lamb curry and the chicken appetizer!!! Will give them a thumbs up!!!
Very good food, flavorful, efficient service
Best Indian food in Richmond. Get anything, it's all good.
Awesome experience from the start! The owner came to my table and answered all questions I had about the menu. Even pulled out his phone to show me pictures of the food from the menu. The food was incredible!! Definitely recommend this place if you enjoy Indian Cuisine!
This is the place to go if you love Indian food or if you want to know if you love it. If you're new to Indian cuisine, I highly recommend the Chicken Makhni - it's delicious and is a great point-of-entry for Americans who aren't sure about (or believe that they don't like) Indian. You won't be disappointed!
With many places being busy for Mothers Day it was destiny that led us to Lehja. Always wanting to try something new, this was pure heaven. After a short wait we were seated and drooled over the menu. Even though I cannot remember the name of what we ate, I will not forget the decadent flavors served here. We will surely be back again.
Great food and our server was very friendly, patience, and understanding. Loved the needed gluten free options. Loved the stylish atmosphere.
Great food, atmosphere, and service
Eclectic fusion cuisine, and traditional Indian dishes. The owner is super friendly, as well as the staff. The chef serves up some phenomenal dishes. When in Short Pump, and craving cuisine from the Indian subcontinent region of the world, dine here.
Food is good but Drinks are too pricey .
Great Indian food. All made from scratch. A portion of the ingredients are grown in their own garden
The person I was with described this as a modern Indian joint. I'm not real familiar with Indian but liked it very much. The place had a fancy feel but not very pricy. Good service and the owner was going around checking in on everyone. Could have been spicier.
FANTASTIC FOOD!! How this restaurant doesn’t have a line wrapped around the building is beyond me. I had a tamarind, cumin, and ginger mock tail. It was amazing! I also had the Vegetable Croquettes and Garlic Naan. The flavors were incredible. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere. The wait staff was great at assisting with food choice and even rushed our food so we could make an appointment.
Idk how they are still in business Food and service both are the worst So please leave the review if u had felt the same. If not save money by not going to this restaurant .....
Best Indian restaurant in Henrico. Offers authentic Indian taste food. Staff is very courteous and friendly. Fast and quick service. Wait time is acceptable. I would recommend this to everyone as it’s worth a try. I’m pretty regular there and I often take my friends there who are visiting me in town
We come here at least once a month for the last three years and the food, service and atmosphere is always 5 star but today the chef was exceptionally great. We would and do highly recommend it anyone.
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. We were already so happy with our experience and the chef came out to greet our table and somehow made it even better. This is now our new favorite place! We will be back for sure.
Best Indian restaurant in short pump!
Do not order Masala Papad , it’s garbage and they charge $3
Drinks are delicious (my husband got a black cherry bourbon drink and I got a tequila snake drink), food is very good. Service not too bad. Why I didn't give them 5 stars... Chic Indian restaurant should be that. I got good food with small portions that I can get at other great Indian restaurants but with bigger portions and priced right. The blue crab appetizer was so tiny. For the price two people should be able to eat it. The seabass was another overpriced dish that was tiny in portion. Also that delicious naan flatbread that you get, it's an extra charge. That's like paying for chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. I get it Short Pump area is the chic side of town for Richmond. My favorite Indian restaurant in Vegas that is chic with the same delicious food is priced right, and its Vegas.... capital of overpriced drinks and food to get tourists $$$$. My humble world traveling, foody opinion, Lehja getting over because of the location.
Great atmosphere and service, food is top notch
I was in richmond so googled because of the review me and my wife decided to go there but Trust me thts the biggest mistake ever Food was terribly terrible My dog can cook better then this Service Was like Eat if u want or eff off Later i came home and checked the lowest rating review and found mona review and found out am not the only one Tht guy threw only check for her But in my case they threw even food on my table This is a copy paste of mona review The worse customer service experience I've ever had. The bald guy, who seems like he's the supervisor or something is the rudest person. So much attitude, no thank you, and then he litteraly throws the check on our table from 2 feet away. Probably will never go there again.
Best Indian I've had in Richmond. The owner Soni(?) is friendly and welcoming as is all the staff.
Good food and ambience
11/10. This place blew us away. The waiter was fantastic and told us all about the food's background and preparations. He was able to make excellent recommendations and food was incredible. I had the regular naan and lamb vindaloo (it was spelled differently on the menu), but I tried the lamb cashew korma, butter chicken, a vegetarian kafta dish, keemah naan, and garlic naan; all were delicious!
Great Indian food in Short Pump.
Awesome food quality......must try chicken tikka kabob & lamb malai curry
Absolutely love Lehja! The best and most authentic Indian cuisine I have ever had. I drive an hour and a half to eat here. THANK YOU Lehja
Fresh delicious food! I ate the scallops and the seabass. The dessert sampler was tasty. High class Indian restaurant.
Knowledgeable staff. Very easy to dive into a new cultural experience here. Always satisfied every time.
I feel like this place is a private gem with how empty it is sometimes. The food is amazing and very wonderful! It's a little different from most other Indian restaurants though in that's very modern in both atmosphere and food presentation. It's worth it to come with friends and grab a number of the smaller plates so you can try a decent variety of options. The servers are super knowledgeable about the menu so if you tell them what kind of flavors/spice level you normally like they can make some great suggestions! They've also done a wonderful restaurant week menu in the past that included a three course meal and an Indian beer. It was a nice treat!
One of the finest restaurants at Short pump. Service is off highest quality. The owner of the Restaurent makes sure that you are taken care off in the best possible way. I have took few groups for dinner here and had tasted most dishes. Almost everything is great taste and good presentation.
Had a good quick pick up service. Mostly non Indians visiting the place for its quality ambience and good food ! Tried Saag paneer and liked it. Surely to visit for other flavors...
This is our favorite restaurant! We drive nearly 45 minutes to get here and it is always worth it. I ordered lamb the last time we were there and I have to say I have never tasted anything so lovely! Perfectly cooked and so delicately flavored. The best!
My first visit to this establishment but not my last. the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. Staff was attentive and helpful. I am very familiar with at home prepared Indian foods but this was my first restaurant experience with Indian food so I had a certain expectation. I was pleasantly surprised. The know how to take car of their customer to make this a very enjoyable experience. You will not be sorry you visited.
Had a fantastic experience eating here. All the food came out incredibly quickly and was consistently delicious. The owner of the restaurant is clearly very passionate about what he does and stopped by the table to chat. The menu appears very dynamic and they are regularly trying out new items. Will definitely return again.
Completely shocked this restaurant has been in short pump for over 8 years and we did not know about it. One of the best wine lists in Richmond and the Indian food was on authentic and delicious. For apps, start with the spinach salad and lamb kabob. For main dishes, of course the chicken marsala, scallops in the crab sauce, and a must try is the duck. The duck was my favorite but all other dishes were close second. We will never look at "Short Pumps" lack of good restaurants the same!!!
Unique and imaginative menu. The food here was amazing and the service was equally high quality. Great place to have a group or individual meal or just a night out. I can say I have never enjoyed a restaurant more.
Lehja in India means Style, and wow, what a great style, this Restaurant provides! The food is delicious and would make you visit again and again, so beware! The outdoor catering too is fabulous. We had the lucky fortune to get the catering done by Sunny's Lehja for a Wedding reception. All the guests were drooling over the delicacies. Superb mango lassi, thandai, navratan korma, rasmalai! Wow mesmerized! Pradeep Sharma MD
The best Indian restaurant in Richmond, Virginia
Favorite Indian food in Richmond. Food is always very fresh and flavorful. Excellent wine selection and an owner, proprietor who is passionate about all of it.
Food and service is top notch. The owner speaks with such passion and it carries into the meal. Highly recommend.
Went for lunch. Tiny portions, stale bread and papadoms (clearly old) but good service.
Great service and suggestions. I like that the employees say they are treated well. My first time here and I had ordered something I changed my mind on, the restaurant was very pleasant about it. I will come back and suggest this place to others. Good food, great, taste and wonderful service. Thank you!
If you are in the short pump / west end area and looking for indian food, this is one of the better options for that area. They have a wide fusion selection and their drinks are pretty good too! Ask for some off the menu selections that are reaaally good
One of the best Indian restaurants in the area.
Good food, reasonable prices, good service. I would recommend it.
Really excellent food and service was top-notch as well. Pruces reflect that. Friendly and fast. Note that online menu does not completely match restaurant menu. Cocktails were uninspired.
Food amazing. Staff very attentive. Will be back again
My table got a free appetizer and dessert, as they had extra food because they were closing soon. Also, very nice and attentive staff. Delicious tikka masala.
Everything is delicious and fresh. Sonny gave great explanations of everything!
This instantly became one of our favorite restaurants in Richmond. The food is divine, the service exceptional, and we find something new to love each time we go. Only complaint would be the difficulty in remembering the names of all our favorites on the menu.
Good food, good ambiance but expensive and less in quality compared to money.. They are trying to become too Americanize version which really loose Indian taste and Authenticity.
Best Indian food I have ever had. Service was exceptional! Owner made us feel like we are old friends. Love this place!
WOW! My server and food were incredible! My first time eating Indian cuisine and the server was able to make some amazing recommendations. I am so excited to come back for more. Honestly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to!
This is an excellent Indian restaurant, with very authentic taste, and some unique innovative dishes. The Neapolitan Kulfi is awesome.
Good food. A little pricey. Great ambience. But our server seemed to be in a hurry.
Excellent Indian food with all the staples and seafood options that you don't find in other Indian restaurants.
Food was ok, but the service was horrible. We arrived at 8 and they told us they are closing at 9 but the kitchen closes at 8:30. They sat us at a table in a room where a few other tables were occupied but was mostly empty. We had to wait about fifteen minutes before anyone arrived to take our order. No one came to our table the whole time to ask us how we're doing. Meanwhile, multiple waiters we're stopping by the other tables and chatting with people there, possibly because they knew them. There was an empty table next to ours that had dirty dishes on it and it remained dirty the whole time. Then, at 8:50 some other waiter came by, asked us if we were done, clearly seeing that I was still working on my meal, and handed us the check, basically shooing us out. I've been to many Indian restaurants and the food at this one is alright, but somewhat below average. The prices are about 30% above average.
Nice flavors, I loved the food!! The quantity of starter/appetizer is a little less but the taste and quality makes up for it, Loved the main course, we had lamb vand a lo , and andhra style chicken curry, they had the authentic taste we hoped for, The ambience is nice, good place for a romantic dinner!!
One of my Top Two Indian restaurants in Richmond. They have lightened up the dining room. Food is always great but sizes could be more ample. They can be a bit skimpy on the lamb (which is high-priced) but the service is typically swift and pleasant.
Very good Indian food. Service is always good and employees helpful if you need questions answered about meals.
Excellent service. good nan. Great spicy lamb josh
Make sure to ask the types of ( regular or Dum) biryani before ordering that we heard for the 1st time ever in Indian restaurant and is not mentioned anywhere in the menu as well, otherwise they serve pulao with some leftover veggies and rice...!!!
Great food, good ambiance and proximity to a lot of other things to do. Service can be hit or miss, but you won't find better Indian food in the area
THIS FOOD WAS AMAZING
Ask the waiter for suggestions :) Also, try the garlic naan
Been to Lehja many times and never been disappointed with the experience. Tasty food, nice ambience and above all excellent service. Keep up the good work guys!!
Went here during Richmond Restaurant Week, the charity program for Feed-more. It is nice that such a popular and highly rated restaurant chose to participate. The food was excellent. I like hotly-spiced foods... my wife, not so much. They were very willing to adjust each dish to our liking. I recommend you leave room for dessert ... we each loved our choices - a mango mousse with fresh berries, and a deconstructed cup of coffee and cream turned into a frozen treat. Service was very attentive. Only minor negative was a surly Front of House (just having a bad day, I presume).
Incredible experience top notch Indian food
We were a party of 10, some never had Indian food before. The staff was very helpful in explaining entrees, describing sauces and spices to make the best meal selections. The food exceeded our expectations. The portions were adequate. Everyone said they will return. You deserve the 2017 reward. You have my vote for 2018.
I had never had Indian cuisine before and this place made my first experience a good one. The portion sizes were good and I got to dictate how spicy I wanted my food to be. I would say, though, if you would like to venture out into Indian cuisine, you might want to start here because the food is a little Americanized. It was a great intro into Indian cuisine and I would be trying their food again.
Worst restaurant ever. Poor customer service and we waited more then hour to get the food and we even did not knew who was our server.
The food is always fantastic, although I almost always get my favorite dish, my wife gets something new every time and we’ve never had a bad meal. The service is great, the location is convenient, and the cocktails are pretty good too. By far my favorite Indian restaurant in the greater Richmond area.
My wife and I love this restaurant! Superb food and service, bar none.
Excellent service and the food is delicious.
One of the best restaurants I've been to. Because the cuisine is North Indian, the dishes are not as spicey which is perfect for me. The dishes are full of flavors and textures that dance in your tongue and the servers are very knowledgeable of the dishes, ingredients and even the sources of the ingredients. I plan on returning and making this a part of my regular dining preferences.
I loved their food and been there for couple of times not more than that. But food is really good and service is awesome. It came on time and I reserved the table as well. Nice place to have food dinner. I would suggest to try once and see if you like it...
My first to go food and its goat biryani. Definitely coming back and highly recommended
Making centuries old indian kitchen adaptive to modern cooking is a tough task, but lehja restaurant proved it can be done. Food tastes really good, great decor and service.it has a bar as well.
I like there service
Anyone administering poor reviews to this restaraunt does not have a palate that is evolved enough to appreciate excellence. I have been coming to Lehja for years and it is consistently flavorful, fresh, and decadent. The food is prepared expertly and with care, and has NEVER disappointed me. The staff are friendly and attentive and service tables quickly and efficiently. If you are seeking one of the greatest Indian restaurants in Virginia, look no further than Lehja.
Please check your serving size before leaving when placing to go order. Ordered this chicken tikka, opened this box after getting home and found that it was only half the serving. Not something that I expected from Lehja.
Delicious food and flavors. Large, family style dishes. Neat design but needs a good cleaning and some fresh paint.
Decided to try Indian Food for the first time with my best friend, and I found it very desirable. Will definitely be back...
Seafood Kerala Curry and Crab-Scallop “MelJol” - Simply Scrumptious! Zeik, our waiter was awesome! He knows the menu inside and out. Very familiar with the dishes; the ingredients and preparation. Thanks Zeik. My cousin and I enjoyed our dining experience. Although we live in Prince George’s County MD, we will return.
Great food
Such great food. Awesome ambience and fun owner. Definitely worth a stop. Lunch special is super affordable and portions are generous.
Delicious food and great service! The waiter offered to help us choose because we weren't very familiar with Indian cuisine. He was very patient and helpful and made excellent choices for us. Also the owner was very nice. The decor is beautiful as well. We will be coming back!
Surely one of the best indian restaurant in the Richmond area, although I prefer Anokha more comparatively
Staff was attentive. Food was not cooked well and had no real flavor. Portions were small for the price. Would not recommend to anyone wanting real indian food.
Very beautiful and friendly place to spend evening with your friends in Downtown Toronto. Food is great and drink selection is good.
Very decent place for family lunch or dinner. Staffs are all accomodative well behaved. Foods are all good. Price is little bit more. Overall it is nice restaurant.
We just had the most wonderful meal here. It was our first time and we can't wait to go back! The restaurant is beautiful and also very comfortable. The staff was perfect. It was a great experience. Our food was outstanding. Even the salad was unique and so flavorful. I am not even much of a salad lover, but I would eat here just for the salad. The Murg Methi Lazeez (Korma) was our favorite. The Gobhi Manchurian and Lamb Rogan Josh were cooked perfectly and were delicious. We are planning to go back...soon! If you remotely enjoy Indian food, I would tell you that this is a 'must try'.
Great indian taste...but bit pricey
The service was terrible. They told us it would be a 20 minute wait, and after 45 minutes I realized that they had forgotten about us. I got us a table, and we landed a waiter who acted like wanted to be anywhere else in the world but at the restaurant. Our food was bland, which is pretty ridiculous for Indian food of all things. I can't believe that this place is ranked as the best Indian in the Richmond area. Perhaps we went at the wrong time, because a waitress informed us that the head chef was out. Still, it's sad that the employees take that as a license to serve low quality food and provide subpar service. I won't be giving Lehja a second chance.
Portions of starters were small. Taste was so so.. not commensurate with the price.
One of the best places I have been in a very long time
Food was excellent! Doesn’t seem like it would be good based on location in a town center but we were impressed.
I would give 5 star s if their portions weren't so stingy. Had the lamb in cashee cream Curry and there were only 6 very small bite size pieces of meat. The other dishes we ordered had the same problem. I don't mind paying their high prices, buy they should give a decent portion. The flavors are excellent and ambience is really nice!
Hands down the best Indian ever. Not American influenced except maybe in the modern decor. Extremely thoughtful and traditional dishes. Sonny is extremely involved and it's special every visit. Vegetarian paradise and meat lovers of all culture will enjoy.
Truly and Madly love with Leheja, the best India. RESTAURANT IN Virginia, Happy chef is awesome.
Expensive, bad service, just average food. 1) Average dish price is about $22. 2) Our request to change a rice side dish for vegetables was denied. 3) naan was burnt. 4) Food was not better than a $10 per seat buffet.
Awesome place ambience was classic .staff was really amazing . They were explaining everything in menu. Dishes were mouth watering . everything we ordered was yummy and different.I think they are the best in Richmond. I must say owner is putting great effort to give the real taste of India and much deeper view of hearts of Indian ppl. I ll definitely come back .
