We offer you all the opinions of real people who consume the services of Indique (Restaurant) in the area close to Virginia.
Nowadays the business gets a score of 4.4 stars out of 5 and the score is based on 369 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is very good, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is quite faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Indian restaurant.
This is my go to Indian restaurant in the area! I’ve only had great experiences here. It’s good for large parties or just a couple on a date. They’ll accommodate whatever you need. The cauliflower chili fries are definite must have item. The chicken tikka masala is a safe option. It taste great and the portion is more than enough food!
The food is always great here.
I have been here for brunch and dinner multiple times (Pictures are from a recent brunch) Their service is always good but food can range from 2-5* depending on what you order I wish they were more consistent Samosa chaat is delicious and so is the cookie butter dosa Not a big fan of their achari preparations
Decent Indian place
Indique is absolutely the best Indian food in the DC area. If you add that to the decor and service, it's one of my favorite spots for a group friends or a date. Here's a tip: go for the outdoor seating on the balcony if you can get it. On a nice night it's a beautiful way to find!
Food was awseome, we got samosas and the lamb pot pie. The manager was very kind and generous. Had a wonderful time here.
Great endless brunch. Upgrade to the endless mimosas while you're at it. Or go all the way and get the endless cocktails. Everything is delicious and I think you should get the cookie dosa.
Disappointing to see how far this once-lovely restaurant has deteriorated. Our server was pleasant enough, but painfully slow, confused and inept. (When they couldn't find the wine we'd ordered, tried to substitute one of "the same brand". It was the same varietal, yes, but a different vineyard. ) The server did not understand what veganism is, even after it was explained twice, and could not offer any menu guidance for the vegan in our group. Although the restaurant was empty when we arrived, they seated a large group with 4 noisy children immediately next to us. They honored our request to move to the other (quiet) side of the restaurant, then immediately seated a family with a *screaming* toddler next to us, rather than in the area that already had noisy children. When it finally arrived, the food was mostly lackluster. Dosa served cold - chicken tikka makhani was just forkfuls of meat swimming in sauce - morels undetectable in a small bowl of goo - and everything was woefully bland. Three requests for some hot sauce/spice went unanswered, until another server finally brought a plate with several whole, uncooked chili peppers. This used to be our "go to" Indian restaurant the area. We see no reason to return.
Wonderful Food and Atmosphere
This place is awesome!! One of my go to spots for brunch - the food is always great and the drinks are poured perfectly (mimosas are always on point and your glass is never empty if you go bottomless). The brunch menu is bottomless and has a wide range of different plates to try and you won't be disappointed by any of them. Every dish has a unique flavour you won't find any where else. The owners are always involved and take time walking around to check on every table (which has always been a sign of a great restaurant in my experience). Can't recommend this place enough, go now!
I loved every single bite at this place!
This place is great! Has great brunch food with little plates and lots of good options! Their brunch special is dangerous, you won't want to stop eating lol. Great presentation and amazing food. The place will get crowded, so service can be a bit slow but that doesn't warrant a bad rating just because they are popular. Try eating earlier during the day and it should be less waiting. Great place!!
If you enjoy food this is a must. Set aside expectations of traditional Indian fare and prepare your tastebuds for a masterful blend of Indian flavors. We went for brunch on a whim. We had the bottomless cocktails and it was worth it! The tamarind margarita redefines the drink. The tapas allow you to sample a spectrum of Indian flavors without committing to one for an entire entree. The achari chicken parathi tacos are pleasantly spicy and offer a unique flavor found only in Indian cooking. The samosa chaat captures the essence of a traditional Indian breakfast. We will be coming back again and we will bring everyone we know. This is a must try.
The best authentic south Indian(kerala taste)!!!! Loved it!!!!
Nice place and good food.. not many choices in the menu if you are looking for authentic Indian food. Serving size is pretty less.. service is a little slow. They do not have good drinks menu and quantity of a single drink is also less.
Loved the experience of having Indian food in this authentic restaurant. A great place which fits well to have wonderful evening with family and friends. Highly reputed chef vinod menu adds more value for money
I couldn't stop speaking the name of this place... Indique. Indique. Has a funny smooth feel in your mouth. Anyway, the food here was excellent! I'm Indian-American, and I'm usually pretty discerning about my Indian food. This restaurant knocked it out of the park, with a nice, modern-esque decor (how I hate the classic white tablecloth, icy water, bad Indian artwork, and gravy-stained aprons that characterize most Indian places...), very friendly (if a little slow) service, and, most importantly, very tasty food! I'm hoping to come back to this place soon.
Best Indian in DC! Food is incredible, service is great, and the restaurant itself is very cool. Can't miss if you live in the area.
Good food. Great service. Some dishes could use stronger flavors.
Amazing. Must eat here if you’re in DC. th service. The food. And the amazing Indian twist on cocktails.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. And they were so helpful about my food allergies! Would highly recommend.
Lively place with awesome food and ambience!
I love this place. Amazing bartender, Hansel. Great food & lovely setting
Unique brunch. Bhel, Kathi roll, eggs Benedict Tikka, and cookie dough dosas are favorites.
Okay it looks great but it doesn't taste good. Expensive place and do not got for bottoms up. Not worth it. Three stars for food presentation
Tapas style Indian cuisine, well labeled gluten free options and many of them. Lovely two floor layout, excellent service. We were there for brunch, so I expect the dinner menu might be a little different. Every thing we ordered was delicious. Highly recommemd.
The service could use a bit of improvement, but the food is so outstanding it makes up for it! One of my favorites in DC (after Rasika) :)
Great food and fantastic service. Our waitress was delightful! Our food was running late because a large party ordered at the same time. Our waitress gave us a free appetizer without us saying a thing.
Food is fantastic and service is courteous and attentive.
The lamb chops are some of the best food on this planet.
Excellent Indian food for reasonable price.
I absolutely adore Indian food, and this is my absolute go-to spot in the city. One of the few places that has authentic Indian cooking, and they do a really neat combo of dishes from both North and South India, as well as some dishes you don't usually see at Indian restaurants. My favorites are the Masala Grilled Cod, and the Veggie Samosa. Oh, and the Mango Flan for dessert is bomb. Love the cozy little bar area, and would recommend grabbing a table in there. Bottom line - If you're looking for an awesome Indian meal at a reasonable price, Indique is the move.
Went for brunch and ordered a la carte. Service was slow and spotty. I ordered coffee, which took half an hour to arrive. When I requested a refill, they were out. How does a restaurant run out of coffee during brunch service?? We didn't seem to be a priority for our waitress whatsoever. Food was fine. Lamb mini dosa was quite good, but could have used more coconut chutney.
Dee is the man! I got the full Dee service, terrific experience!
Great food and overall vibe. The staff was friendly and we had a good time. The Shepard’s Pie is easily one of the top five things I have ever eaten... very special.
Two words-food coma! Interesting fusion Indian food.Very authentic flavors.. definitely new favorite! Service is quick too.
Amazing food. Good service. High class.
This is one of my favorite brunch spots in the city. Indique offers a bottomless (and delicious) small plate food program at decent price. For a little more $, bottomless cocktails can be included in the deal. The food comes out when ready so sharing is practical. My advise is to take is slow, ask for recommendations and don't over order. Oh, and try the cookie butter dosa.
Fast but high quality especially when you’re not 100% sober. Great little place that fits nicely within the neighborhood. Have dined in and had takeout from here and it never disappoints. Definitely not an upscale spot but if you’re looking for good food you’ve come to the right spot.
Upscale neighborhood Indian restaurant. The artwork and atmosphere inside the restaurant transport you to another country. The menu offers a wide variety of traditional food plus special dishes from the chefs hometown. Everything our group ate was delicious. The staff was attentive and offered wonderful suggestions on the menu. It's good for groups, but the upstairs balcony tables for two offer some of the most romantic dining spots in Northwest Washington.
Amazing brunch!!! We went for the unlimited brunch plates, which is definitely the best option. There are SO MANY delicious small plates to choose from, we almost ordered one of everything. Every single dish was extremely delicious and an interesting twist on an Indian classic. I loved everything I ate here!
Great chicken, just like you would get in India with the wood fired tandoor oven.
Great lamb. Spicy and tasty. Friendly service. Amazing naan
Great food, great service! We were given free appetizers while waiting for our table . Cant ssy anything bad about this Indian restaurant. I would recommend Indique to all my friends who love Indian food.
The all-you-can-eat-in-2-hours Sunday Brunch special is amazing. For an extra fee, you can drink as much as you want as well, and when I say drink, I do mean alcohol. However, be prepared to try new things here. You won't find any American classics on this menu.
Decent food. Not 5 star though
This is my GO-TO for Indian food in DC. I have tried quite a few different dishes and they are rich with flavor. I recommend the chaat for an appetizer and the paneer makhani is a great option for vegetarians. Meat dishes are also wonderful and they use white meat for quality taste. The staff is kind and gracious, polite in every way to accommodate both small and large parties. Fantastic food, great staff, clean restaurant make the headache of finding a parking space close to obsolete. I highly recommend Indique!
Delicious, excellent quality and management through the years. Frankly, I find this restaurant virtue more important than how good a restaurant is when new. Try the Baingan Bhartha. Its very yummy. It is as hot/spicy as you like. So ask for it. The restaurant consists of two floors. There is a distinct cozy bar area on the first floor. Tables can be collected for large parties.
Marvelous food... have to love Asian of all kinds!
Updating my review after a recent visit. Chickpeas and lentils were again standout. Chicken tikka masala is creamy and flavorful. Lamb is equally tasty. Service is slow but courteous. Decent for the neighborhood, not a destination.
I would go here every day if I could. The food is spectacular and they have some great house cocktails. It also has a nice atmosphere.
I really enjoyed my meal here, and the decor is very pretty. Quiet and tranquil restaurant with great vegetarian options.
Very creative and tasty Indian Western fusion
Indian cuisine is among my favorite world foods. I have enjoyed Indian food from an early age. My friend and I were in D.C. to enjoy two days of Krishna Das music and a workshop (chanting, Q&A) Stopping at Indique was on the way to our Saturday night K.D show. I ordered the vegetarian stew in coconut milk. This was a house specialty and well regarded by regular patrons and a positive review in the Washington Post. This dish lived up to the hype as it was delicately spiced and well balanced. I also enjoyed a mango Lassi which was very good.
Literally not a bad dish on the brunch menu
An Indian restaurant that does traditional food with a twist. Be it Achari tacos or just traditional biryani, they all go well with some Indian inspired cocktails. I like how they plate their entrees with sides and rice. I love their appetizers and usually prefer to make a meal of a bunch of appetizers.
Went on Valentine's day, the prix fixe menu was so good. I chose seafood options my girlfriend chose veg options, everything was packed with flavor and SO DELICIOUS! Service was perfect, great experience.
Good place for pricy brunch.
Unlimited food and drinks is the right move for brunch. I like that there are multiple drinks at brunch, the rum lassi is quite good and their Mary has a good kick.
One of the best brunches in DC, delicious, aromatic, creative Indian brunch dishes - unlimited food for $25 and bottomless drinks for an additional $12. Absolutely worth a visit. The cookie butter dosa is a personal recommendation - solid way to end your meal.
Looking wait for 1 appteizer and 2 entrees...
Delicious indian cuisine. Plenty of options on the menus to cater to just about anyone. I feel that the quality of the food is quite excellent for the price tag. I’ve visited a few times and everything has been quite consistent. A great place to celebrate someone’s 25th birthday !
Went for the bottomless brunch. The food is Indian - western fusion served in small portions like tapas. Everything was great except the service was somewhat slow with a few missing dishes.
Brunch was delicious and fun. They bring the food out pretty quickly, despite everything being made to order. Everything is a small plate, so it's easy to try a lot of things, especially while sharing. The pickled pork belly and cookie butter dosa were highlights for me. I definitely recommend getting the unlimited cocktails as well. They don't skimp on the liquor, and who wouldn't love a rum mango lassi? The tamarind cocktail is really refreshing and tasty as well.
Love this place for unlimited brunch!
We had a good experience during our dinner at Indique. Their appetizers are top-notch. This was our second time at Indique and we loved the puchka shots and paratha chicken tacos. The crab cornetto was ok. The entrees were, however, a little bit of letdown especially Dal Makhani. The traditional dal makhani is very buttery and creamy but the one we got at Indique was very watery and tasted like regular Dal. The chicken makhani was also not the best we had. It was less buttery and more tomatoay. The chicken, however, was well done and very tender. The whole wheat roti was really nice and crisp. Overall, we wish the entrees would have been better and more authentic but we would definitely revisit just for the appetizers and the ambience.
The service was absolutely wonderful! We were seated near the door, but with a view of the tandoori ovens so we were able to watch Edgar teach Sam (new guy, first night on the job) the art of naan making. Shortly after we had been seated, we were offered a table that was more private and not so close to the door. We opted for the experience, but it was very kind of them to give us the option. We received wonderful recommendations from our amazing and friendly server and it did not disappoint. Everything was delicious! We were engaged by someone involved in management and we talked about the new location opening up October 17, 2017 at the Wharf. I'm certain they will do very well there!
always excellent and I haven't ordered anything I have not loved
One of my favorite places for Indian cuisine. Menu has Indian favorites (love their Tandoori), but also a subregional focus.
Popped in for DC cocktail week. Tasty apps, spicy cocktail paired well
Our guests loved Chole...
We went for bottomless brunch and were very happy about the service/ quality of drinks. Food was above average however it did not stand out as amazing. It may have been the fact that it was endless. However I would recommend this place to anyone. Great deal!
Phenomenal food. I had the pleasure to try their new lunch menu when I was vacationing in DC for a couple days and it was delicious! Great portions, incredibly fresh, and it didn't break the bank. They also have very unique indian-themed cocktails which I have never seen at any other indian restaurant. The decor was cool, the staff was great.. all in all a great place to dine.
Indique truly is a unique, exotic Indian experience, combining flavors from both northern and southern India, influence from typical Indian street snacks, and a flavorful, creative cocktail program. The owners are passionate curators of their craft, having been open since 2002. Some of the team is still with the restaurant since the beginning, watching the owners' sons grow up. Their sons too, Sahil and Rahul, are passionate leaders in their own right, willing to make friends with customers, serving and leading the team, and promoting the love for their culinary vision. I was blown away by the presentation, the level of service, and the quality of the dishes. Each dish is truly distinct and flavorful. I recommend the Shrimp Curry, the A Must Have cocktail, the Cauliflower Chili Fry, and Cucumber Raita. If you want something fun and creative, get the Shrimp Puchka Shots (no alcohol!) I recommend the seating on their small balcony (if available) to dine with the busy backdrop of Cleveland Park. Overall - a fantastic experience I'll continue to recommend.
Indique is great. I highly recommend it to any one looking for a good time and good food. It's a busy place, and for good reason, so I recommend making reservations. While my party and I waited for our table we sat at the bar and tried a couple of their house cocktails and appetizers. The drinks were delicious not too sweet and not too strong. The Shrimp Puchka Shots were a fun tasty treat. When our table was ready we easily transferred our orders upstairs. Despite a very busy kitchen our food came out in a timely fashion and the orders were all correct. Everything was delicious. My favorite was cauliflower chili fry. When you go you have to get an order. The overall experience was great. The restaurant has a great vibe. Great place to take your family, host a dinner party, or stop for a couple of drinks. Another bonus to Indique is that it's super accessible. They are right off the Cleveland Park metro. Try Indique you won't regret it!
Sloooooooooow!!! The service is the absolute worst! I literally had to call the restaurant to ask my waiter to come back to the table, to refill my drinks. The food is decent but prepare to wait for food and drinks. Don't order bottomless drinks. I was only able to order 2. Won't come back
Went here for brunch, small plates and quick service. Mimosas we're good.
The service was 5 stars worth. The why did I give only 3 stars? Because the food wasn't great. Paneer makhani wasn't good. Had to try hard to finish it. Chicken curry was just about average. Nan too was average. When I was waiting for the food, I saw the cook making Nan's live. Not sure if it just a show. If they can elevate the taste a little bit, then they could end up being the best Indian restaurant in DC
Several outstanding dishes, and some that didn't quite hit the mark. Went for brunch and the place wasn't a very crowded. The service is where things got... weird. Everyone was polite and attentive, but the manager (I presume) seemed to be hovering over his waitstaff in an almost uncomfortable way. Like they were scared to make a mistake so kept smiles plastered to their face. Would try again, as this may have been an off day.
Nice, upscale Indian but not as fussy as Bombay Club. The food is top notch, and the service is friendly. One of my favorite Indian places. I like some things at Bindaas more, but the overall menu at Indique I think is better and maybe better when pitting similar items against each other. I think it even compares well with Rasika in terms of consistent quality, although it is not quite as modern or inventive with some of the dishes.
Good food, a bit pricey
Attentive service and great food! The decor and artwork is lovely. This is a hidden find, very unassuming from the street but definitely worth a trip.
Great location right next to the Cleveland Park metro station. I felt the main courses weren't very interesting, but the appetizers and especially a few of the desserts are quite unique, artfully made, and very tasty for the price. My friends have bland tastebuds, so I'm very glad we asked the waiters for their recommendations.
One of the best Indian places I've been to! Having eaten my share of Indian food, I am always a little bit more skeptical trying out new Indian places but Indique does not compromise on any of the unique flavors of authentic Indian food while combining it with their own authentic touches to make every dish delicious. The service and ambiance add to the experience. The managers and ownership are always around to make the dining experience a pleasant one. Highly recommend!!
Just randomly found this spot - literally next to the Metro/Red line in Cleveland Park so super easy to find. I am accustomed to the more traditional Indian places so when I saw the menu, it was a bit confusing. It’s like Indian ‘tapas’ - I went on the weekend and they had Sunday brunch. I LOVED every one I tried - just WOW! Super friendly staff and the plates came out super quick. Great service!!!
Came for the weekend unlimited brunch plates. That's worth the $25 and it gives us the chance to explore the different varieties of brunch plates. Don't expect the typical Indian spice levels as this caters to the metropolitan crowd. Service is top class. Food is of high quality.
Amazing food and very friendly staff. I have been here twice now, the second being today for brunch. We were a group of 12, and had bottomless brunch. The drinks are great: do try the rum mango lassi! Reservations are recommended.
Some of the best Indian food you will have in DC area. Great food and excellent house tonics make a wonderful cocktail.
I'm impressed with the presentation of the dishes here at Indique. Come for the weekend brunch special. All you can eat for only $25 per person, but it's not a buffet. Instead, each plate you order is served in an exquisite and impeccable presentation which is a delight for your tongue as much as it is for your eyes. Would definitely come here again.
Came in for the brunch last Sunday, and so happy we decided to give it a try. Bottomless drinks and Indian brunch...yes, please! Dishes + drinks (mimosas) were delicious, and it was really affordable too. Will definitely be coming back here again with friends soon.
Really really good, though prices were a little on the high side. We did a bunch of snacks and the pickled pork belly was a highlight, as was the samosa chaat.
Not cheap but great quality
Our go-to place for Indian food in DC.
Contemporary upscale Indian cuisine that'll force you to keep coming back for more
I've been fortunate to experience Indique's brunch and dinner menu. The food is top notch and the service is extraordinary. Both the chicken tikka and mango rice pudding come highly recommended. This is by far one of the best Indian spots in town
My go to place for Indian food. Really loving the new menu and the new cocktails are amazing. My favorite is definitely the garam masala tonic with vodka. Great job guys!
Excellent food. Top notch staff. 50 feet from the Metro. This isn't standard Indian food. It's Indian food with a modern twist and a bit of flair. Prices were reasonable for what you get and where you get it.
Awesome food even though it came to about 45 per person. We accidentally set the naan bread basket on fire but it burned out quickly and the waiter didn't mind.
Great service, good food. The only real complaint is that I asked for my food to be prepared with some extra spiciness and I don't think the cook took me seriously.
Decided to try this place for brunch after a recommendation from a friend. $25 for unlimited tapas style food and $12 for bottomless drinks. AMBIANCE: A small two-story spot in Cleveland park right by the Metro. With different color painted walls and hand-crafted Indian artwork on the walls, it was a nice vibe. FOOD: The presentation was great. Even a dish as simple as a samosa had nice presentation. The food was spicy to me and I love spicy food. Started with the samosa chaat and chicken tikka makhani. The chicken tikka makhani was basically chicken in a creamy tomato sauce with rice served on the side. It was very delicious. DRINKS: I am always a fan of Margaritas. I saw the Tamarind Margarita on the drink menu and figured I'd give it a try. It is definitely an acquired taste and although I am a huge fan of tamarind, I did not like it. The after taste tasted too much like Indian food/spices rather than a refreshing drink to enjoy alongside delicious Indian food/spices. The Rum Lassi on the other hand was absolutely delicious. It was basically an alcoholic mango smoothie. I ordered two of those and left with a buzz. SERVICE: The service was definitely subpar mostly due to the buffet style menu. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks. Each time, we had to approach the server ourselves to place a drink order. A reason I am deducting a star is because we were forced to either have the entire table choose a la carte or have the entire table choose the buffet option. This was annoying due to the fact that some members of our large party were pickier eaters and some did not want to drink as much. Overall, this place was a good experience. I don't often go out for Indian food, and it was nice to get to try some of the classics for this Sunday brunch.
Been here many times for brunch, dinner and delivery. Very enjoyable
Indique is one of those restaurants that exceeds expectations for any type of event. Whether it's a family dinner or a date night out, this place will impress. The food and custom cocktails are both imaginative and comforting. There are a lot of familiar tastes along with some outside the box thinking that leaves a ton of options for everyone. I highly recommend it.
I have been here several times and always enjoy it. Decor is very nice specially if you sit upstairs. A nice touch in appetizers that combine local favorites like crabcakes and add the Indian food touch to it. Location is great, right next to Cleveland Park Metro on the Red Line.
Absolutely amazing restaurant, one of the best Indian food I've ever tried! A great service and ambiance are just adding to the fabulous experience. Definitely planning on visiting this place many more times. Highly recommend!
Food was good, service was pretty good too until all the wait staff started ignoring us half way through the meal. Is this your not-so-subtle way of pushing people out before we eat enough to break even with the brunch price? Bit difficult to enjoy an "unlimited brunch" when no one will take your order.
Quality, service, inventive dishes, savory curry-- I could go on for days. Can't recommend highly enough. Suffice it to say I have little use for any other Indian spot in DC.
Ask for Rose who is lovely and polite. Both our entres were delicious, unique with a suttle flavor. Nice, cozy decor with 2 romantic balcony seats. Relaxing atmosphere.
Good indian food available here at reasonable price.
Will say the best Indian restaurant in DC. Very modern cuisines at the same time maintaining the Indian authenticity. Great service, get a table in the bar.
The bottomless brunch was worth every penny! Food was fantastic and lots of options for vegetarians. The Dosa and Chaat were my favorites.
Best chutney ever in the U.S.A., and I wish they would bottle it. Thanks for the samples to go!
Excellent food and service! Highly recommend
I don't usually write reviews, but we loved this place. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the shrimp puchka shots, but everything was great!
Always a fun place for a tasty meal. Great Cleveland Park location, next to Metro. Food is all the Indian classics you would expect but often served in an innovative way. Good drinks. Excellent brunch worth spending some time at but make a reservation in advance.
Authentic taste with no compromises. The dishes are bursting with aromas and flavours so delicious, you have to taste it to believe it. I found dishes spicy in a enjoyable flavourful way, not the other "burn me spicy" kind. The chef (and owner?) Vinod greeted us with a smile and found a great seating area. The restaurant was very busy, but well equipped and generously staffed. I enjoyed spending the evening here yesterday (and the one before). This was my second visit.
The menu was great, staff was kind and there was no rush to leave. I went at about 8PM on a Thursday night with a friend. Make sure to grab some of the candied fennel on the way out the door, it's great for digestion!
Weekend brunch is amazing - great selection (including amazing desserts) for a good price. Highly recommend
Went here for brunch and it was awesome! $20 for all you can eat dishes which are delicious and very unique. For a little more you can add all you can drink. Overall great experience and location (right outside from cleavland park metro). Highly recommend!!
Indian food with a contemporary twist. Upscale atmosphere and awesome staff. The menu has your typical items, but what comes out will impress you.
They said they have happy hour for cocktails advertised in the website and board outside the restaurant. However, we realized when we got home that they charged us full price. Also, quantity of food is really small
The all you can eat/drink brunch was incredible! The food is delicious and service was great.
Worth checking out, but I was underwhelmed. Portions were pretty small for the price, best part of the meal might've been the cocktail. Cool digs overall, though
Awsome experience of fusion Indian food. Never ever could I imagined that kind of awesomeness can be done with Indian fusion. Tastes lovely n delicious. Each and every dish is unique in taste and full of beautiful fusion unique flavours. Surprised to see even the ice cream, never have I thought there could be a mustard ice cream with such mouth watering taste. The ambiance is nice and the service is good too. The price is a bit on the higher side but trust me it’s worth every penny you spend. I had the opportunity to try out 2 appetizers, 4 different main courses and 3 different ice cream flavours. Everything was super duper good and felt like eating more and more.
The food was okay, but the drinks took almost 30-40 minutes to deliver. The drinks were also very inconsistent in taste. The one high note was the sauce for the chicken tacos.
Delicious food, top notch customer service, beautiful ambience. Was visiting DC and was very happy to have had a meal here. The customer service was excellent, one of my friend had strict dietary restrictions. Though they had only a few items on the menu that he could eat, they made them well and constantly followed up. We had: Paneer pasanda- Must have Methi paratha- very soft and delicious Fish curry with Puttu- amazing Chicken seekh kebab - tasty okhra- very well made and delicious peshwara naan- yummy lassis- a bit less on par. Good job guys, will be back for sure when visiting again.
Great dinner. Real Indian food. Lovely place. Nice people.
Came here for brunch with a large group. Beautiful, cozy environment and great "bistro style indian" creative brunch food. Especially loved the attentive, patient service.
Great food and service, can’t beat the all you can eat brunch. My only comment is that it’s just not one of the top dosas in dc
The service and the food was good. I highly recommend getting the chicken biriyani to share amongst the table with your entrees!
I've been to Indique twice now for brunch and it hasn't disappointed at all. There's an option for $25 all you can eat plates with an additional $12 for all you can drink as well, but to be perfectly honest, you almost want to save room for more food over alcohol - it's that good! The plates at brunch are all served family style and are tapa-ish. You almost can't go wrong with anything. Some of my personal favorites: -Papri Chaats -Bhelpuri -Samosa Chaat -Kathi Rolls (both veg and chicken are great) -Chicken Kebab Eggs Benedict -Chicken Tikka Makhani -Pickled Pork Belly And my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE: Cookie Butter Dosa. I know I said everything is served family style, but trust me, you're going to want your own order of this. Two hours is plenty of time to eat your fill and my eyes have always been bigger than stomach when it comes to Indique. I highly recommend visiting for brunch if you're ever in the DC area and are craving Indian-style tapas!
We are visitors from South Carolina and after a long day walking around Georgetown Waterfront Park and the National Zoo we needed our Indian Fix. The food was explemplory, not your run of the mill Indian restaurant. The cocktails were flavorful and hit the spot. The meal had clear and concise flavors, textures, and with enough heat to wake up the tastebuds, but not overtaking the meal. While we would have loved to have dined without our kids, the staff was great at making the entire family comfortable. Best Indian food we have had in more than a decade.
Sorry, but the portion size for amount they charge is too little. The taste and variety of dishes was disappointing as well. Like who serves a dosa without sambhar??
Innovative Indian food.
I have had an excellent and satisfying experience every time I have visited Indique. The best Indian Restaurant in DC...elegant ambience with palate pleasing food. The Salmon Sliders and the Mussels a la Indique as starters are sooooo good... can't wait to go back again...
Absolutely loved their happy hour! Great food, great service. The achari chicken tacos are to die for. I was so impressed with Indique's authentic Indian food and its modern upscale decor. I will definitely be back soon!
Cozy environment and fantastic Indian food.
Pretty good. Good array of Indian food with some unexpected choices.
In such a happy and full state. Still processing all the flavors combinations I just experienced washed down with a couple Shantarums. Very diggity! All I can say.
My first DC dining experience, no dissappointment. Excellent quality, taste and service at a reasonable price. Definitely recommended.
Excellent food with lots of options for people with dietary restrictions. Beautiful ambience with indoor & outdoor, tables and bar seating available. The Cabernet was quite good.
Friendly staff, good views all around
So, the food at Indique is mediocre; I've had much better, and I've had much worse. The samosas are really good. The prices are high, really high. For what the food costs, it's not worth the price.
I went there for the Indique special bottomless brunch with 20 of my friends and the service was superb. The items were brought to us in time and the food was delicious. I especially recommend the duo of chaats, achari tacos, chicken tikka masla, cookie butter dosa and the rum mango lassi. The Rum Lassi was special to Indique and the perfect bottomless brunch drink. Make bookings ahead of time as they are very busy during the weekends and go for the unlimited food platter and the bottomless drinks! A very good deal indeed!
I would rate it zero if possible, with worst of the service. The food is served after waiting for 40 minutes, you have to let them know that they have to provide dinner plates to be able to eat and then the bill has the added gratuity of 20% and further they expect you to tip them on top of that. Having said the taste of the food is no way Indian.
First things first
Delicious, well- crafted, unique variety of brunch dishes. Perfect to share with a group of friends, quick attentive service, and a very reasonable "bottomless" price of food and drinks. Reset my brunch standard and will be a favorite for each DC visit!
Professional service, gentleman at the front is respectful and courteous. Nice job!
Wow oh wow This place is amazing. The service is spectacular and the food simply amazing. A wonderful place for a date night.
Great food. Great cocktails. Tried really astonishing dessert - tamarind gelato
It's good - I enjoyed my experience and the service and environment were stellar - but the flavor was not the best I've had at this price range for Indian food. Regardless, I recommend it and will likely return.
Very good but too cold, bring gloves and jackets
The lamb shank and the garlic naan are my solid go too's when I eat there.
Great service & good food. The cookie butter dish is awesome ! Must try. The weekend brunch is a good value for money where you get to try a lot if dishes for a set price
Taste is not good as per price
Indique is such a great place, very authentic and tasty Indian food (high praise from someone who was raised on homecooked Indian food). It has a wonderful environment, and reasonably priced. The waiter we had was super personable and upbeat, which is always refreshing.
Horrible please they have ruined our anniversary lunch. First they serve the dish which was frozen from the store and not made in restaurants. We are pure vegetarian people which I have told them very first we ordered vegetarian biryani and I found a pice of meat / chicken in it and after that server was saying that we don't have any chicken in restaurants today so that means that briyani was also either Frozen or leftovers of tother day menu. Server was not at all ready to accept that it is meat and trying to convenience us that is might be tofu or paneer ( 100% it was meat) and on top of that he was like chef also don't know what it is then I m sure it was either leftovers made by others chef or store bought froen or ready to eat. I want to give it _ve *.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great people! Definitely suggest going any time during the week/weekend. I'll be visiting again, soon!
Wonderful food, setting, service. The vegetable dosa is my default but lots of great vegetarian dishes incl the eggplant. Try the mustard seed ice cream dessert - a melding of delicious and unanticipated flavors.
