Amazingly good and surprisingly delicious food. I’ve always had great service. I think it’s so fun and unique that they serve popcorn as an app in place of bread. The nachos are eye opening.
This is definently a family friendly resuraunt that has a good selection of items. The service here was lovely every time i came into eat. The staff is so helpful it makes you feel kind of special.
The food was delicious at a very fair price.
Convient to Woodlands hotel
Had a lovely evening celebrating a young lady's 14th birthday. The staff was wonderful and the food delicious. Our entire party of five really enjoyed our experience. A great birthday :)
If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it. But, it's comfort food and cozy environment. The plusses are that it's right at the hotel so it's convenient. They have a bar so we sat there. Had a few beers. They have a few craft beers that were actually very good. The pizza was good. Bartender was friendly and service was good.
Great overall, little pricey but expected in a tourist area. Food was excellent, local brew was great. Awesome build your own pizza hands on for the kids.
Food was ok. Coolest part was that our daughter got to make her own pizza.
Very friendly servers, great food, and we enjoyed the live music during dinnertime too!
Chips are full of oil. Fish is awful, mashed potatoes is suit and arghh.
Friendly staff and the kids played corn hole while waiting for the food. Delicious wine with dinner.
Food is always awesome.
Got in late, 9 pm (close at 9:30) but still managed to order and thoroughly enjoy the Brisket, Ribs and Shrimp and grits with brisket! HIGHLY recommend this place. Shout out to the bartender Randall who made the conversation really enjoyable!
My wife wanted to eat here because of the make your own pizza kitchen for kids. We went after a day at Busch Gardens. It's within walking distance from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center; in fact definitely park there otherwise finding the place is a hassle. The food wasn't anything spectacular, but was very pricey (especially for what you get). My wife and father-in-law ordered the fish and chips. I got the "brisket" - which was covered in a ketchup based BBQ. Not very good. The grilled veggies were very tasty. They do not have French fries, choosing to offer tater tots as the starch side du jor. The best part of the entire meal was the complimentary biscuits with fresh jam and churned butter. The mixed drink was really weak and the prices were a bit tourist trap-esque. The kids did really enjoy being able to create their own pizza, though they all made plain cheese pizza (boring).
The best!
Huzzah Burger was to die for. Great atmosphere and service.
Huzzahs is a great BBQ and pizza place, perfect for lunch or dinner after a day of sightseeing. It is super kid friendly! They even let the kids make their own pizzas with their choice of three toppings. Tired expressions lighten up as they personalize their meal giving the tired parents a little break as well. What a great idea!
As good as always
Excellent!!!
From out of town for a brief vacation and made a second trip just to try the pizza. You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu.
Amazing pizza and drinks, the guy who made our pizza was so nice.
Breakfast Buffet.
This was my first time eating here, the food was great, I got the 'juicy Lucy'(?) Good burger, but it came out about 5 minutes after the rest of my parties food. Then the waitress cleared our tables and we ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes for the checks. I don't know if I'll be going back, but the atmosphere was nice, we ate outside.
Don't go in expecting fine dining and you'll be fine. The staff were really friendly, particularly great with the kids. Food is pretty much average but more or less what you'd expect for a restaurant attached to a hotel. Definitely worth the visit at least once for the lazy option if you're staying right there.
Great food, fast service, family friendly
Great place to eat, good food, good service, reasonably priced.
Server was good. Pizza was pretty good but pricey for pizza. 3 stars because all the tables were "reserved for resevations" despite google saying reservations were available and the place was empty (10 open booths).
Very good food and service
We had a pizza and some drinks. They were friendly and the pizza was amazing! Good time.
Our kids enjoyed getting to make their own pizza!
Good food
Good atmosphere, horrible food. Unbalanced drinks, bad ribs, bad BBQ. Good popcorn, sweet potato pie, and cobbler.
Kids loved making their own tasty pizza!
If you’re touring Colonial Williamsburg and you’d like to know what it’s like to wait 250 years for your food, look no further than Huzzah’s. First of all, this place is really hard to find unless you’re staying at the neighboring hotel - and let’s hope it stays that way for the majority of the public. It took almost 15 minutes for the waitress to come by and take our drink order - and another ten minutes to get our round of waters. Mind you, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant when we arrived. Our food took an overwhelming amount of time to arrive and when it did, some of it was delightfully lukewarm, but most of it was cold. They definitely saved a lot of money on tomato sauce, considering there was almost none on the “pizza.” At the end we asked for a box to take the remaining pizza to go since we were on our way to a nighttime tour, and our waitress disappeared for 15 minutes without even stepping foot back onto the restaurant floor. We had to ask the hostess for a check and a box for the pizza. Save your pennies and go literally anywhere else.
I absolutely love Huzzah's eatery! Especially when they have their $10 madness! An amazing 18" pizza and just $1.25 extra for each topping!
Hot buttered rum was excellent
Good food and good service always eat there when we stay at the Woodlands
I lived the Patriot drink and the fries but the fried chicken was a little dry
The employees at Huzzahs were so sweet to my 2 year old daughter. She, generally, doesn't like to talk to strangers, but they really drew her out. They discussed her toys with her, played peek-a-boo, and gave her a cook's hat. Everybody took the time to talk to her at her level. There are special people at Huzzahs.
Great breakfast buffet. Went for dinner and sat for 20 minutes without any contact with a server. Talked to the hostess, sat another 5 minutes before giving up and going elsewhere.
Pizza station for kids is fun and enjoyed pot roast, Shepherd's pie and salad.
Food was cold, overpriced, small portions, seemed almost as if they cooked it in a microwave. We ordered chocolate cake for dessert that was completly dry and dull tasting. I will go elsewhere in williamsburg and enjoy other culinary experiences. I Will never eat there again!
My husband and I ate here after walking through Colonial Williamsburg, we loved it! The music and staff were both great, and the food was delicious!
Had dinner there on a class trip. My friend made reservations for 12 and they had us scheduled for the wrong time than could not accomodate us properly anyway. We needed to take two tables. The food was fair at best. The prices were too high for what was offered. The menu was limited. They charged a service fee for the large party which is fine but was not mentioned before time and just appeared on everyone's bill. I would not go back!
I was very saddened by what the restaurant had become. For the past few years me and my wife had made huzzah BBQ a staple to why we come to Williamsburg. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the great food they had. We came yesterday to once again enjoy the restaurant we have come to enjoy to find it has changed and not for the better. The food was OK and what I had my heart set on the chicken wings that huzzah BBQ had were no longer at the restaurant. I must say I was disappointed in knowing that a place we held dear to us because it was a tradition we had created is now gone.
Pretty much conference center food and service. We've been twice - the first time in 2014, when the ribs and pizza were fantastic enough to make us return. Our second visit (2016) was not remotely as impressive, and saddened us both enough to cross it off our Williamsburg list (we come to the area 2-3 times each year). Too pricey for quantity/quality and service was mediocre. As it happens, we tried to dine here in 2015, but it was being renovated. New management maybe?
Other reviews had me unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. We got the white pizza. I wasn't sure I would like the chicken, but it was a really tasty pie. My son got to make his own pizza which he loved. Calamari were decent, but served with cocktail sauce, which is odd imho. They had a bean bag toss game outside which was a nice diversion.
(Translated by Google) Good beer, American food, not very fine .. (Original) Bonne bière, restauration à l américaine, pas très fin..
A stone's throw from our hotel, we ventured to Huzzah's after a long day of travel. Walked in at 9:35 planning on getting the special that was advertised in our hotel, only to find that only minimal bar food was served after 9:30. Our first disappointment. The place was empty. The price for what we had was ridiculous. The service was only so-so. But, we ended up back there the next night for dinner between a day in Colonial Williamsburg and returning at dusk to see the buildings illuminated. Mediocre food and service once again. They know they are the only game in town for that area but really need to either close or step up their game! Price and service just didn't cut it.
Too expensive now and not enough choices
Huzzah is a great place to eat If your staying at Woodlands and you dont want to go far. When I entered the restaurant the manager opened the door for us and was very friendly. Our food came out pretty fast and was really good. I would definitely recommend
Wounderfull ,out side dinning
Went there last weekend. WAY understaffed! The food was just ok. Our fried chicken order was overcooked. Also, our check had an $11+ item we didn't order. The pizza looked and smelled good (and faster than the rest of the menu).
Food is decent to very good. Service is excellent. Lady tending the bar - sweetest and most professional ever. Cherie - hostess/greeter -AWFUL! We are here two evenings in a row. She was equally rude, abrupt and condescending on both occasions to everyone who walked through the door. Eat here. Tolerate her.
Too long wait food not worth wait
Let me tell you folks a story. A large group (35) of my friends and I went to this place, after having pre-ordered in the morning, and sat down. I waited half an hour for my Fish and Chips. Nothing. 45 minutes passed. Still nothing. When I got to an hour, I was getting cranky. It had been an hour 12 minutes when my Fish and Chips arrived. And I got no chips and FRENCH FRIES. What the heck? Sure, the Fish my have been slightly above average, but no Fish and Chips takes an hour 12 minutes to be made. This restaurant is not worth the wait. Don’t come to this place. You’ll regret it.
Horrible organization, tables uncleared, wait staff inattentive and hostess completely lost. And I had a reservation. Things at CWF have sure slid.
Huzzahs has a friendly and attentave staff. My favorites are the salads and the burgers. They do a great burger plate that never leaves you hungry.
Kids love to make thier own pizzas
We stayed at the Woodlands and would get a pizza to take back to our room. After a long day of touring Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown, having a pizza in the room was not too bad.
Huzzah's is absolutely wonderful, the food and atmosphere is great and was within walking distance from the hotel.
Great staff, very accomdating and friendly! But the food tastes so bland and it's overpriced. It's easy food too, pastas, sandwiches, pizza... It's a shame because the Woodlands hotel is so great!
Excellent service. Quality of food very good. Price reasonable considering location
Overpriced & dissapointing. Our meals were cold and portions were small & stale. We ordered loaded nachos which came out cold with stale chips. My husbands pot roast was kids meal sized for $17. We decided to give dessert a try as we were still hungry, big mistake. The chocolate cake tastes like a homemade box cake that had been sitting around for a week. Dry & stale. Save yourself the dissapointment and go somewhere else.
My Grandfather had a great meal and mine was mediocre. The server and service was mostly great. Except for the fact that we were not part of the hotel semi adjacent. It would have ment a wait if there was no open bar seats.
Solid food and very convenient for Woodlands guests. The breakfast buffet is good for the money ($10)
Great food, nice atmosphere, service was great. Great beer selections too!
Food was decent, service was very slow, and im not sure it was all the servers fault, i think kitchen was slow. They werent even busy. If it didnt take so long for service we probably wouldve stayed for dessert.
Horrible experience. I ordered 2 small pizzas to go, and after an hour and a half, and my asking the hostess to check on our order four different times we received our pizzas. The hostess was rude, was spending her time flirting with the servers, and acted like it was unreasonable for me be questioning why two pizzas were taking an hour longer than promised in a less than full restaurant to boot.
Great location - a skip away from Woodlands Hotel & Suites.
It was ok
food was so freaking good
Food was great. The server Angela did an outstanding job. I order the 18' Pizza it was huge!
Loaded tots are the Bomb. White pizza was lacking but Mgmt handled appropriately. Waitress was pleasant.
The kids loved choosing their own pasta combo and assembling their own pizza at the pizza bar area. We got bad luck with a slow server and the adults' food was just ok, not good enough to convince me to go back for night 2 of our stay. Convenient location to the Woodlands hotel and a nice bonus to have outdoor cornhole and ping pong tables. They also started an outdoor movie as we were finishing up.
Great food and wonderful staff. The patience of our server and the chef that assisted the kids at making their own pizzas was phenomenal. This is a great place for all ages to unwind after a day of exploring Colonial Williamsburg. It is conveniently located near the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center.
We ordered spinach artichoke dip. Portion was very small for the cost. I also ordered a ceasar salad and it was very very bland. For our main course we ordered a 18 in pizza. It was fantastic! The kids got a make your own pizza which they greatly enjoyed.
We showed up 1 hour before closing with 11 people and no reservation. We were greeted with a smile and they sat us with no problem. The manager Ellen was warm, welcoming and gracious! I highly recommend! They were amazing!!! Family friendly and went above and beyond!
Our family was shocked at the decline in the quality of the overall experience of Colonial Williamsburg, and this restaurant was no exception. The food was pricey yet darn near inedible, with one hamburger being presented beyond rare (after medium was ordered), and the other one being charred beyond recognition after requesting medium, as well. The service was absolutely horrid, and we waited for almost 45 minutes for the food to arrive when we were one of the first to be seated for the dinner time service. We left, with several plates untouched, and drove to a Subway to get something passable. The wait staff was so completely inattentive that a complaint wasn’t even worth our time. The only exception to this was a manager (whose name eludes me), who came by the table during our wait to welcome us to Williamsburg.
Arrived at 9:30 to find out they only serve pizza from 9:30 to 11. Very disappointed as I don't like the pizza here.
Food was very good
The food was delicious & the service great.
Overpriced for flavorless food
Staff here is super friendly. Especially the manager and bartender. White pizza is delicious and large
Excellent
We had a great dinner! The kids got to make their own pizzas! The Southern fried chicken was super delicious. And the battered fries were awesome too. I would recommend this place to anyone!
