I’ve been here for both the breakfast and lunch buffets. It’s good food for a decent price. Honestly one of the better buffets I’ve been to in a long time. Quality food at a buffet is hard to find but this place has plenty of variety and will have something good for you. It’s worth 35 minute trips for me to get here. I havn’t had issues with service either time I’ve been here. Plenty of parking. $8.99 breakfast buffet prices on Saturday and Sunday. Great place to chow down.

The food was excellent as always. Our waitress was terrible! She was not attentive at all. Once she took our order, she simply disappeared. I had to flag down another waiter for spoons that weren't included in our napkins. Then I had to flag down another waitress for a FRESH cup of coffee. At that time, our waitress returned with fresh, hot coffee. I had to ASK her to remove dirty dishes when she did come around. This simple task should always be done when dining out. Unimpressed, disappointed and displeased.

As far as buffets go this place is pretty good. I would puck this place over Golden Corral, even though they don't offer as much food, the food is fresh and warm and tastes good. They have great prices and service as well.

Had a family gathering of about 25 people for a birthday; was able to sit right next to the buffet area (was actually better than sitting in the echo-y private room with other families). Everyone had fun and good food. Our server, Martha M., was GREAT!! Only disappointment was not being able to reserve the private room; had reserved it 5 years ago for 40 people when my son turned 16. The private room is first-come, first-served.

Food is not as good as it could be and always hit or miss for a buffet. Some things you can only get at certain hours. Their silverware and drinking cups make me cringe they are so old and always water stains all over them. Needs to be cleaner and bathroom is disgusting for a place you eat and dine at.

Whoever gave them 4 stars doesn't know soul food for 12.99 you get more at golden coral. You can get more flavor at McDs. The only flavor was the water and fruit.

I've been to Old Country Buffet, Golden Corral, and multiple chinese buffets (they all have surprising overlap), and when I was taken here by a friend of mine, frankly I was expecting to be unimpressed. How wrong I was! Everything i had was really tasty and nothing had that old/been-sitting-out flavor/texture. On my second plateful I tried entirely different stuff almost intentionally seeking out a dish that might be mediocre, but I never did! Definitely the absolute best "standard" buffet restaurant (standard meaning not including places that have buffets at unique times/days).

This time my boss treated us employees to lunch. Knowing a competitor is in Manassas I'm glad we ate lunch at this restaurant because I have been curious about it enough to say I'm going to do a Yelp thing before taking pictures. This location had more class being in a shopping Center in a suburban area. Also I'm sure the lunch variety wasn't as great as the dinner choices at the buffet. Plenty of chicken out but I had the ribs, spaghetti, hot veggies, well you can see the pictures of my plates. I like the desert choices hiding over in the corner. Very nice appearance like the one in Falls Church that had closed having plenty of seating.

I love this place! I was in the mood for Golden Corral but they're always packed so I decided to try this place out. I've been here about 5 or 6 times and it's the best buffet I've been to! The food is always fresh and hot. The employees are always nice and helpful. The variety of food choices is unbelievable. If I could give more then 5 stars I would!

We have been to a lot of buffets, and this was by far one of the best! Excellent selection of food, including steak and ham. The fried chicken was delicious! The service was great! I would highly recommend this any time you are in the area!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Manassas. This buffet has great yeast rolls, sirloin steak, a carved meat (ham or roast beef), fried chicken, and at least 3 more meat items. The food is far superior to other buffets. Everything is fresh and tastes home made. The service is hit or miss. For dinner they are supposed to offer baked potato or sweet potato. They may not. Especially when it is slow, you may never see your server again. The real treat is breakfast Sat 9-11, Sun 9-12 ($8.99). Omelets and Waffles made to order!!!. Donuts, fried chicken, and all breakfast meats. My favorite breakfast buffet.

Here is a really nice selection of food buffet. They have lots of fresh items to choose from. I have been eating at great American for at least 18 years and I have always been pleased. They actually have a lot of the same workers that had been there for very long time and know all the locals. the management staff is awesome and they have been there for several years as well. The staff always seems so friendly. I always see servers helping out and clearing other tables. Even if it's not their table. they actually have catering available to that you can pick up after ordering in advance.

Wait staff was terrible. Went through the entire meal without being offered a refill and used plates from the buffet sat on the table for the entire meal. Food was adequate and had plenty of selection as well as having plenty of each item, nothing was getting low while I was there. The salad bar was very fresh and I was quite pleased with that. Their meat selection while large, was not cooked to my liking but that is personal opinion. My son loved the sweets table.

The manassas location is always great, however, just dont go after folks get out of church on Sundays (between 12:30 and 2 pm) or else, you will see every large, obese person in Manassas coming to enjoy a plate or two. Outside of those hours, this place has held up through the test of time. Renovation would be nice. I know that the owners think that as long as they serve good hot food, that they will be okay, but truth be told, people are into decor these days. Even big people.

Initially, I was gonna give this place 4 stars. Then I thought: the family and I love this place So much that we go there once or twice a month. The fried chicken tastes great and homemade. My church uses them as a catering service for special events. It's nothing like cafeteria food and It doesn't taste mass produced like all the Other buffets. They totally deserve 5 stars.

Cheap but good breakfast buffet. Nothing fancy about this restaurant but they have a good variety of breakfast items. Fried chicken, pancakes, french toast, omelet bar, waffle and baked goods bar, fruits and even salad to name a few. Less than $10 per person and they give veteran/military discount. Kids under a certain age eat free!

Absolutely Filthy! Food areas and kitchen seem up to standards but everything else is disgusting. Floor is covered with days of filth and the bathroom has a river of urine running through it. They have one tiny 40w bulb in there so you can barely see how filthy it is. Chairs and table are sticky to the touch. Staff seems unconcerned. For the cost of the buffet and how busy it is why is it so dirty and unkept?

I reviewed this place for months ago below is my original review unfortunately I had to drop the rating from 4 to 2 the service has gone down and they used to replenish the food a lot more frequently the past three times I have left hungry unfortunately! We have been coming here for about a year now hope to see a change backupme ( me i fiance absolutely love the Great American Buffet! We've gone there a couple of times now the field is hot fresh and absolutely delicious the service staff is pretty friendly the restrooms are slightly dirty however the rest of the place is really clean and a joy to visit definitely recommend the Great American Buffet!)

Many food choices with large salad bar and plenty of dessert choices. This memorial weekend this place was very busy but worth the wait. Waiter was very well organized and brought our drinks quickly and cleaned our table often. We had our fill finishing with some vanilla ice cream topped with some delicious strawberries.

No very good. Didnt have much flavor. Very processed tasting. The items on the salad bar were such huge pieces you couldn't make a decent eatable salad!! No plain EVOO salad dressing to deserts or icecream. No good toppings for icecream.
