Sadly, a pretty poor experience. Take this review with a grain of salt as we were there during a pretty busy time. The beer selection is surprisingly sparse for claiming to be a restaurant/bar. We were seated fairly quickly, but waited 10 minutes for a drink order, another 10 minutes for drinks to arrive, 30 minutes before a meal order and another 40 before actually getting food. We watched as parties larger than ours came and went before we even got to order. Once food got to us, half of one person's hot meal was cold and the other half of it was not ready. Cannot in good conscience recommend.

It's all about the quality of the food and the service for me... The Daily Grill was exceptional in both respects. With the roasted beef eggs benedict cooked to soft, tender perfection while the eggs were poached just right to allow the silky golden yolk to flow coating everything with their deliciousness. I was very satisfied that morning.

5 night stay in Washington DC. Visited Daily Grill twice. Food good little bit pricey but well presented. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff very competent, friendly and make you feel welcome. They are happyto explain menu and make recommends. Would eat there again no problem.

My children and I went for a family breakfast. I got 2 decent scrambled eggs. This comes with a choice of bacon/sausage, potatoes, or fruit. I chose fruit (a small bowl of mostly melon). For a few dollars more you can add a choice of breakfast meat. I chose bacon and ended up getting charged for a full side order of bacon. Overall my family's modest breakfast cost about 3x the value of what we were served. The service was okay except for not giving me the actual menu options and jacking the price.

Went here with a group for a birthday dinner while the restaurant was relatively not-busy. Not only did the service take two hours, it was 80+ degrees inside, and the food was mediocre but overpriced. It was a fine experience, but not worth the price of finer dining.

Was encouraged by the hostesses to sit in the bar for a quick lunch. Ordered popcorn shrimp and a ginger soda. After 30 minutes the appetizer still had not arrived, the bartender advised he was on his own and did not have the opportunity to check with the kitchen on the order. 10 minutes later a kitchen runner dropped a cold and stale tasting order of popcorn shrimp at the table. Disappointing, can not recommend and will not return. Note, the restaurant was empty, the bar area was busy - the bartender did his best but there were other servers and two hostesses that did nothing to help.

Food: Excellent! It was my first time at Daily Grill! I will go back there! I only had one isssue: my server was over extended. I asked for ketchup and it took him about 5 - 10 minutes to get it. I asked him to separate my check and he forgot. After he separated my check he had me pay for the one check and then he walked away another server had to cash me out for the second check. Over all I am pleased that's why I am giving four stars and I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt because I don't know if he was new, I don't know if someone called off, so I will go back the next time I am in Washington DC.

Great place to drop in for good food, and ICE COLD BEER! I was wondering around DC and put about 20 klicks (Km) on my feet, when I asked a local police officer where to get a cold beer this is where I was told to go. Great suggestion, fantastic wings, and friendly staff made me feel welcome.

Decent food, although the salmon sliders on the bar menu were not great. Tasted fishy and not fresh. They are better known for their salads. They pour a decent drink. Daily Grill is convenient since they are close to the Paramount Theatre if you have a concert or play there. Other than that, I would probably go elsewhere.

We could have gone to any number of famous restaurants in the area, but we were tired and just wanted to go to the restaurant at our hotel. What a pleasant surprise. The food was very good, but the service was even better. Our waiter, Anthony was excellent!! We will definitely be back.

While staying at the Wyndham Hotel we looked for exceptional places to eat and the Daily Grill is one we enjoyed on more than one occasion. The atmosphere was great and my kids loved the menu selection. The wait staff was very friendly and kind. The Daily Grill is our new spot when ever we visit DC.

Had a large party here and they were very accommodating towards us. I had a chicken dish with spinach and pesto I believe. And it was quite good. Cocktails are also good here. Would recommend this place for a date or a night out with friends or family.

Visited this restaurant while in D.C. for a conference. I was in a group of 4 and it was about 9:30pm. I ordered the angel hair Pomodoro. Had it not been so salty, I would have really enjoyed it. The gentleman who took our order was really friendly and split our checks with no problem. Someone in the group ordered the crab cakes and was really happy with them.

Our visit to the Daily Grill on July 14 was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the grilled vegetables came without the advertised brown rice. When it arrived 15 minutes later it lacked any taste. Looks like the kitchen staff was asleep at the wheel. Mistakes happen and restaurant made no adjustment to the bill. Waiter offered an apology without any explanation.

Brunch was extreme! You get a sorta Cinnabon type thing in place of the free bread. The bagel and lox as amazing and huge and the bloody Mary's were awesome! Price wasn't too bad either. Just be aware they have large portions that you could really just share.

The food is always tasty but service in the bar SUCKS. I've been multiple times during the lunch hour and had different servers with the same problem. Slow, inattentive, and generally unconcerned. I've never dined in the dining room so I hope it's different. But it seemed logical to pop in the bar for a quick bite for lunch. Wrong. Would not recommend.

The worst meal experience. I’ve been in DC for over 30 years. The Daily Grill used to be one of my favorite restaurants for their straight forward menu especially the braised short ribs (a nice serving of 3-4 ribs) and steamed spinach. I haven’t been here in about 4 years but this time I was beyond highly disappointed. I paid over $27 for a SINGLE short rib on top of literally 3 cups of mashed potatoes! I feel ripped off.

If it weren't for The BLT sandwich which was edible I would have given this place only one star. Sad in the bar and waited 20 minutes for the bartender who is also the server to even come to our table. Had to wait even more time for our beer and never got the water we asked for. Fries that came with my sandwich were not warm and the replacement fries I asked for took so long I finished my sandwich before I saw it another server. Service here in DC sucks except for the Morton's I ate at the first evening on Connecticut but I'm sure DC folks will try to blame that on Trump also. Sad.

The food was good, but that one the only good part of our experience. The man at the hostess stand was very rude, and seemed annoyed that we showed up. He insisted they were crazy busy, and he might not be able to seat us, even though it was more than half empty (and stayed that way) Our waiter was very nice, but also very inattentive. The food took over an hour to come, came cold, and over the course of 10 minutes. He forgot our appetizers entirely. The waiter stood over us while we chose the tip on the tablet, which was very uncomfortable. Two stars, since the food was good. It was an awful experience in every other way. Definitely avoid.

Food was ok, but service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. Our server, was either brand new or just not cut out for the job. He was S.L.O.W. He took forever to greet our table and bring us water, and never brought bread to our table. The tables next to us had a different server and were seated after us, both got bread and even got their entrees way before us. Requests for knives, drink refills, etc went unanswered. We asked for coffee with our desserts and that took at least 15 mins. Our desserts also took forever to come out as well. He always had to go back to get things he should have brought out initially, like cream for our coffee, and he would disappear for a while before he returned, so you're left sitting there with coffee you can't drink. Then the bill being $125 for two entrees, two cocktails, and two desserts was steep for service to be horrible and the food being nothing to write home about.

This is the restaurant attached to the Sheraton in Seattle. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes before someone finally took my order even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I had a salad that was mostly dressing, so it was a bit hard to swallow. I did have a crab cake that was pretty good though!

Sadly, very disappointed. Had prawn cocktail for starters, it supposedly came with homemade cocktail sauce - it was pretty much tomatoe ketchup, and 5 prawns - and for 17usd, it was below par. The whole meal was very expensive, coming in at over 100 USD including a few drinks. The drinks were taken away by the witness before the bottles were even empty (a capital offence in my country, Ireland). The only positive was the very generous portion size for dessert.

We usually go here during the holidays after seeing the gingerbread houses. This was the last year. Steak salad had the tiniest bit of steak I've ever seen, but there was tons of romaine! Chicken tenders had enough salt for a week's dose. Even my youngest couldn't eat them. Service was incredibly slow even with a late dinner and mostly empty dining room. Not worth the money even for the convenience.

I went for a solo lunch on a Saturday at noon. I guess sometimes Saturdays are really quiet because there was almost no other diners in the restaurant. The host and waitress were very friendly and engaging. And the food was pretty good but nothing extraordinary. I have a pet peeve when the appetizer is brought to the table and 2 minutes later the entree arrives. But unfortunately for a soft drink a order of stuffed tater tots meatloaf and mashed potatoes and green beans came to 40 dollars. So be advised.

It was my girlfriends and I first time in the Dupont Circle area of DC. We really wanted a good place to eat with reasonable prices, so we went to Daily Grill on a whim. I'm so glad we did! We went during their happy hour and I must admit, it was one of the best happy hours I've ever been to! They had fantastic martinis for only $6 and their apps were no more than $5. All together, for a party of 8, our bill came to $125! And we each had at least 3 cocktails each plus an array of apps. Our server, I want to say her name was Amy (she had long red hair) was amazing! Very attentive and courteous. She even treated me to a complimentary dessert for my birthday. Going to Daily Grill was one of the highlights of my trip to DC. I highly recommend you go here, you won't be disappointed. One of my friends arrived late with her husband, when I recommended Daily Grill to her and she tried it, she loved it as well! Great job Daily Grill, keep up the fantastic work!

This is a good restaurant in downtown Seattle to stop in and get a bite to eat. They have a broad selection on the menu and the bar is fully stocked. The service is very good with a friendly staff. The wait is not very long so you won't spend a lot of time trying to get something to eat. If you are downtown Seattle stop in and enjoy.

Had the fish tacos for lunch. Taste was pretty good. One thing I was surprised with was the count of tacos for the price - just two! Everywhere else I've eaten a fish taco meal includes three for the same price. Houlihans comes to mind, On The Border another place. Just an observation. I was done eating my meal and had to wait around for my friend to finish his lunch portion salad.

The food was pretty good with exception of the fried mashed potato appetizer or whatever it was supposed to be. Also, our small group waited over 20min for initial drinks and well over an hour for an incomplete order of food. After bringing the missing item to the server's attention more than once the appetizer was brought out after we finished eating. Several other tables in the same area came and went in the same time frame. Final bill was not itemized which seemed a bit shady.

We are here in DC having reservations for more than 9 months to visit the Black History Museum...ruined by Trump's Gov't shutdown. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food was great and the ambience very relaxing after a red eye to get to DC. The Butternut Squash soup was fabulous! Shout out to our waitress Joyce.

We had a most wonderful experience for our daughter's thirteenth birthday. Everyone who helped us made us feel quite special. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely accommodating. My wife and daughter shared the ahi tuna shashumi and raved about the freshness, flavors and beauty. My daughter had the Chop House Cheeseburger. She thought it was the best she ever had, even though she couldn't finish it all. My wife had a pasta dish and raved about the flavor. I had the ribeye steak. It was done to perfection, very flavorful and tender. Our waiter suggested the carrot cake for our daughter's birthday celebration. The serving was huge and very flavorful. We will return to the daily grill the next time we come to Seattle.

Didn’t end up eating here, but the customer service was really unfortunate. We had a simple request: to sit within view of the televisions. Host informed us that he would not seat us there. He then offered us a table with no view of the televisions, saying you should be able to see from here. Mind you, not a single table was occupied near the televisions. I understand a section might be closed, but I can’t imagine turning away a customer simply to avoid asking a waiter/waitress to take a table outside his/her section.

Only reason Im giving any stars is because of the side dishes! Perhaps because we went at almost 9 pm, is why we got crappy service & crappy cooking? The hostess was fake friendly. She tried, yet could Not hide how irratated we was that we came for food. She sat us next to a party of 12. Which was clearly "under the influence of something". They were very obnoxious& loud. Luckily they had left about 20 minutes after we arrived. The entire dinning area was practically empty! So why she'd sit us ( 2 young ladies) next to an intoxicated party of 12 is beyond me?!? Regardless..We Ordered steak( which was tough& unevenly cooked. Half overcooked & the other half was raw! My daughter ordered the Chicken piccata. She said it was "okay" but that it had much too strong of a lemon taste that was somewhat off putting.The mashed potatoes we're definitely hands down the best thing we ate that night. And the french fries were pretty bomb too! Thank goodness for the sides or we would have left hungry! Will never go back! With new staff..especially better kitchen help/cooks, this place has enough potential to be a great place to eat!

We love the Daily Grill. We ate the Parmesan Chicken tonight and it was delicious. What was even nicer yet, is we shared it and they split it for us. Their burgers are very good as well as that is what we usually get but we wanted something different tonight.

Service was excellent. ..we were heading to the Paramount to see WICKED. We had a time crunch and our server was on it. I found the prices were out of hand for what we ordered, I did send me Wedge Salad back because for $14.00+ for a "childs portion". Anyway, the experience was OK at best. $59.00. for a wedge salad, calamari appetizer, a small cup of Manhattan chowder and a hummus appetizer...wow. WICKED was phenomenal! !

I have been to Daily Grill a few times now for lunch and like the place. Not your average daily meal kinda place (for me) but this is a good option when you want to have a good dining experience. Reservation/Call ahead is recommended but I have been lucky got get a table by the bar most times with little to no delay. Serving staff is good tho not efficient and quick but that was not a turn off. Food has been good on every occasion. I have generally ordered the burger for my meal and the meat is done to my satisfaction (medium rare). The meal size is decent and I am always full for the rest of the afternoon without feeling bloated. As I said, a good lunch option for when you want to splurge a bit!

The place was everything i would have expected in a bar/resturant in the area of 18th and M. The food was great and the IPA on tap was perfect. That said the service was a bit suspect. Our original bartender was ok but when he shifted out there were 2x ladies that took his place. Lets just say we must have been invisable as the didnt ever realky check on us. When we ordered our food I had to find our original waiter who was shifting out to place our order. Overall it was a pretty good experience even with the suspect service. I would will back if the opportunity presents itself. Hopefullly the service will be better

Food was good. The menu is a bit pricey. Not sure if it was just a new waiter in training, or just an off day but our waiter for a party of 12 must have been overwhelmed or just real incompetent towards customer he believes won't tip him properly. This dude was awful. Rarely checked up on us, disappeared for most of the night. Took us about an hour for him to take our order. Then could not split the bill properly for us so they gave us a pen and paper and had us do it ourselves. He took another 40 mins to process our bill. Then publicly informs me that my card was declined just for me to come home to realize the payment was processed and I paid twice for someone else's plate on my bank statement. Now the restaurant refuses to comply with our reimbursement request. The manager mocked my fiance over the phone when we brought it to their attention. Phewww what a night at the Daily Grill.

Bar backs slamming dishes and waiters intentionally knocking customers' coats off barstools. Doing their best to get customers to leave the bar, they turned on bright lights before 10pm, and took away unfinished food without asking so they could close the place. This restaurant used to be nice. Not sure what happened but I would never return or recommend it to anybody.

We were seated right away and our waiter came and took our drinks orders and then good orders. The food came out quickly and was tasty. My biggest complaints would be that it is very noisy and we were seated by the kitchen which is somewhat open to the dining room. Additionally our waiter let my drink run completely empty without a refill twice. He didn't seem particularly interested in making nice. I may go back just because of the solid food but service still left a bit to be desired.

I checked the reviews before heading here, and I saw a lot of folks that questioned their service. I'll tell you that the service was dynamite on my visit. What's more, the crab cakes and Morrocan chicken were cooked very well. The kicker though, was the phenomenal carrot cake. I'm not sure I've had one better.

Below average service at an above average price. We waited a good 10 minutes after being seated before the server came to take our drink order. We had to ask twice for milk to go with tea; by the time we got it, the tea was cold. The kitchen was already out of meatloaf at 6 pm on a Monday. The braised shortrib was good, but on the expensive side for what it was. Overall, the prices are too high for the level of service we received. If I'm paying $30 for an entree, I expect to not have to flag down the server for a refill. We will probably not go back. Edit: it was not busy. There were only two other tables there at the time.

Dreadfully slow. Asked for napkins and utensils. Never got them. Had to scrounge for them myself. Waited at least 20 min to see a menu and order a drink. Then another long wait for food. They were out of my first choice (Reuben sandwich). So I had to settle for my second. How do you run out corned beef? On a Sunday? Let's call this a lousy experience. I have been to Daily Grills in other cities. None have been of this low service quality.

What would cost $8 at a diner, and be made with far superior ingredients... is $35 at this midlin Seattle captive audience spot. The food is on par with a above average hospital cafeteria. The service is unapologetic at best. If you want good food, there are several places all over the area. For lunch, Ruth's Chris is the same price, but some of the best food you will eat. There's seafood at the market... Take a quick bus ride up to Capitol Hill. Now that I've finally eaten here after waking by it fit decades(?)... I deeply regret perhaps my most serious dining mistake of the past several years. Is it bad food....no. Is it about as unmemorable while the midst expensive.... Yes. I suggest you head down to Steak n' Shake before you cross the line into the Daily Grill and realize the ridiculously high prices for really boring boring food.

After we pointed out that the steak we ordered was burned (it was really black and tasted as burned) he was rude with us for all the rest of the dinner. I'm sorry but I will never go there again

Had the chicken pot pie. It was the best chicken pot pie I ever had. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had, and I'm not a big chicken fan. Also had their broccoli cheddar soup and key lime pie. It was convenient being right next to the Seattle Convention center but I should have got breakfast at the Subway right there - 1/3 the price and better food.

Fabulous atmosphere, impeccable service, delicious food... this is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in DC. The Daily Grill in 18th street is a fantastic place for dinner with friends, parents, dates, even solo! No matter where you end up being seated, you'll be comfortable. Once we had Kiley serving us on the bar. I ordered this delicious cocktail called Strawberry Sunset. She took care of us so well that we didn't want to ever leave. Then once me and my friends were seated in a boot and we had Raju serving us. Service was again great. Everything came on time, we had always waters refilled and anything we ordered was super delicious. Mainly steaks, salmons and crab cakes. Anytime I visited the manager Bruce stopped by and checked on us if everything was fine. You can really tell that they care about theirs customers. I love this place.
