My friends and I looked at the website and saw that they close at 2am. We showed up at 11:15pm and they were already closed. They told us that they closed early because no one was there, but there were clearly still employees around. We asked if they would still serve us (a good sized group who would leave food tips) and they said no. We then went to another late night restaurant and 10 mins later all of the servers from City Tavern walked in to have drinks together. They closed early so they could party themselves? Not impressed.

Great wings, great steaks, great salads. Greek food is hidden gem at this place. Fun bar atmosphere. Great spot to catch sporting events with great management who will bend over backwards to make it right.

It was ok. Chicken salad wasn't a winner. It was dry, tough and a too small portion. Ordered tomato soup and grilled cheese...but when it came out was informed options were different of which I wasn't a fan of either alternative. Fries were good!

Everything I had was fantastic. I had scallops with a ceasar salad. The salad was well dressed. The scallops were in a delicious sauce and perfectly cooked. Also, the bread was incredible. We had mozzarella sticks for the appetizer which were the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! Really good service and we had a fantastic night there.

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and cocktails with our friends. We ordered a variety of the new appetizers they recently added on. Our server Avery went though each item with us, she was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. We ended up ordering the spinach artichoke dip, calamari, southern egg rolls, and the wings. The warm artichoke dip was amazing. It was served with crisp slices of French bread which was delicious yet filling, our server informed us that we shall try it with tortilla chips next time. We are looking forward to it! Great food/prices for the portions, top-notch service, large outside patio, and a nice local restaurant. Cheers!

I love this place, raw bar night is high quality and a great value. It is likely they will soon be the new destination for seafood in Manassas. CJ Finz will go by the wayside after I hook City Tavern up with the best purveyors on the east coast. Hats off, good ownership makes all the difference.

I went here for brunch. I got the brunch buffet and my fiancé got the chicken parm. The buffet was OK. They had the basics like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy and fruit. Those were all pretty average. The omelet and waffle making stations redeemed it. My omelet was really good (not very pretty though). I did notice the staff was very concerned about the buffet food being fresh and warm, so that was nice to see. Service was fine. Chicken parm was OK but not great.

Reserved the banquet room 6 months ago. We arrived and were told someone else would be using the banquet room, but they would still be able to seat our party of 17 at one long table. Well Thanks! We booked the banquet room! The owner did not care. The food ranged from mediocre to bad. Chicken piccata was mostly gristle. Whiskey sirloin was beyond well done (asked for medium) and tasted like burnt pepper. Salmon fillet was flat as a pancake. Caesar salads watery. That's the second and last time our family met there for dinner. First experience was worse- they tried to turn us away altogether on mother's day even though we had a reservation. No concept of hospitality or service. Blah food. Don't bother.

The nachos and onion soup are pretty lousy. They do seem to have a decent grasp on sandwiches. Service was prompt and friendly. I didn't appreciate the guy down the bar hurling slurs at the ball game on TV.

Been there twice roughly two years apart. Was mediocre on both occasions. Service was fairly slow both times and at one point we had to go find our waitress to ask for a drink refill. I don't recall what I ate the first time but recall it was decent but not great. The most recent time (Thanksgiving week 2018) I had French Onion Soup and Buffalo Wings. Neither were very good and I wouldn't order either again. I don't imagine I will be back to the City Tavern unless my extended family request it as they usually do. I hate to leave a bad review and please take it with a grain of salt since I was only there twice. But both times I went in hopeful and ordered something my family assured me was great and both times I was disappointed.

Reuben was ok. The rest of our order was almost average. Food came quickly but the waiter was gruff and we seemed to be bothering him by being there. There were several loud disagreements between the staff to the point F-bombs were being dropped. We won’t be going here again.

On the water, with amazing crab cake, and cold beverages is what you'll get here! Boats can tie up on the dock too. Motorcycles have a great countryside ride, to then sit on the water to eat. Or maybe just take an enjoyable car ride to enjoy a cold beverage!

The service was very poor and the food wasn't any better. The filet mignon was covered in mushrooms that were drenched in garlic and butter overpowering any of the natural flavor of the steak. Not a very good experience.

The service was bad. Waitress ignored us most of the time, no drink refills, dropped food amd never came back to see how it was etc. The place was dirty, menus were greasy and table not clean. Steak was tough. At the prices i would have expected better. I get the impression its mainly a bar that serves food as an afterthought. It migjt ne a cool place to get drunk but if you wamt a nice meal go elsewhere.

This is now the worst bar in Manassas. The owners are condescending if you have anything to say. The bar is filthy and we saw roaches. When we went outside to smoke there was rats too. I would never go there again.

The service was quick, friendly and professional. The food was just ok. My friend and I both ordered the Mexicali Salad. The flavor was fine, however when it arrived at the table it was only lukewarm. As it is topped with chili, I would have expected it to be piping hot. I didn't ask them to reheat it because I figured the lettuce, etc at the bottom would just get soggy and wilty. But I would have preferred that it be served considerably warmer than it was.

Getting a bit tiresome that on our last several visits they have been out of menu items during dinner hours. They've taken some of my favorite items off the menu. Staffing seems reduced and it looks like business is down. We had to wait five minutes for any staff member to notice us and seat us tonight. What food items they have (any given evening) are still good, but these consistent inconveniences have hurt my desire to keep patronizing them.

We had a table of 20 on a Saturday night, still fairly good service and our food was all correct and pretty tasty. I normally have bad luck when I order steak out, but they cooked my filet mignon to a perfect medium rare. That alone impressed me enough for a 4 star. The steak should have been properly seasoned, however...

My family and I went here and for a late lunch. The restaurant was not very busy but our server rarely checked on us. He never came back after our meal arrived to make sure everything was ok. Someone in our group needed something for his sandwich but there was no sign of our server. Our drinks were empty for quite a while before we finally seen him to flag him down. The only good part of our meals was the bread and salads. Chicken Souvlaki was ordered by someone. It was supposed to be similar to a gyro. The chicken and feta were cut into chunks versus strips and crumbled feta. Which made it very difficult to eat. Every type of meat that was ordered was over cooked and hard. Except for an order of scallops. The dishes were not as described. One of the dishes were suppose to have a sauce. It didn’t and it was extremely dry. We should have returned the food but we chose not too.

Great Happy Hour 4PM to 8. Went on Friday evening with my wife and another couple. It was our first time here, since they changed locations. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The service from Avery was very good. The atmosphere is nice,sat on The patio since it was a great night for it. The drinks from the bar were good. The food was very good, verry generous portion sizes! I had the chicken teriyaki and the wife had the prime rib. She said it was very tasty. Will be returning for brunch as our server said the buffet is delicious.
