We have the reviews of real people who are purchasing the services and products of Champps (Restaurant) in Virginia.
At this moment this business gets a rating of 3.0 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 470 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we can be quite sure that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of American restaurant.
We’ve been waiting 1 hour and 30 minutes for food. 90 MINUTES which includes the simplest order, a grilled cheese and fries. They still can’t get it out. Our poor waitress is trying so hard to help but the kitchen is obviously useless. Management has had no interaction with us and no apologies. Again, the waitress is trying incredibly hard to make up for the absurdly horrible service here. Don’t waste your time on this awful restaurant. Updated: received food at 3:13. Arrived and ordered at 1:00 PM. Did not get the waffles I ordered. Got regular ones instead. NEVER coming back here
Gone here quite briefly for a trip. When the servants were getting drinks (which came almost instantly), they spill a few amount of the drink. Lemonade still tasted good. Servants took about 2 minutes for my food, but my food was nearly cold. Pasta actually had a small portion when my friend ordered it, and also the sauce was sour and spicy according to my friend. When I was out of drink waiters did not come to refill it. Not sure of prices, but I am assuming it is expensive. Bathroom quality was quite poor. Would only recommend as a midnight restaurant.
Waitress was horrible we sat 4 over 20 mins b4 a glass of water she complained too many people came in at the same time; forgot the whole entire order until I stopped her; she said shes just a waitress? (Are you sure?) Never came back to fill drinks; found her by the kitchen sitting down eating a chicken wing??? Unbelievable!
the food was okay but i had to wait super long to get it. i ordered sprite but it was just sparkling water. very disappointed. had fun with one of my friends tho.
Changed menu. Didn't care for that
Terrible customer service!
My husband and I hosted our son's 1st birthday here, which doesn't sound very typical, but we wanted to order a lot of food, have beer, and keep it laid back since it was really more of a party for us. We have lived in the neighborhood for about 6 years, have stopped by plenty of times for a quick bite and drink, and knew Champps had good space in the back for a large party. We made a reservation for our party of about 40 folks (about half or so were kids), pre-ordered a bunch of platters, and were just hopeful that we'd be able to use the space in the back. We were BLOWN AWAY. The entire team at Champps was already prepping the space when I arrived to set up. We had the most FANTASTIC waitstaff - Kiki and David - who also help me put up decorations, think through what decor should go where, and did not rest a SECOND while serving our guests. Cannot say enough about them - they really went above and beyond. I also want to shout out Phil in the kitchen who worked with us on the menu, and had fantastic suggestions. All of our friends are still raving about the party, food, and service. Will absolutely consider Champps next time we want to organize a party!
Great avocado tuna salad
Food was under cooked and my order was incorrect.
Terrible experience. We were in DC for several days, and Champps was close to our hotel. We went the first night, they were not busy, we were seated in the bar area, and given a menu. After sitting for 20 minutes with no one acknowledging our presence, we got up and left. We decided to go back two nights later for an after dinner drink. We sat at the bar, service was terrible, drinks were lousy, bill was wrong, and the bathroom was disgusting. Don't waste your time.
My group was over charged 3 drinks and a Cob salad. We are talking a little over $30. I was reminded of why I haven't been there in over a year, the food just isn't good.
I've been here probably 20 times over not even 2 years and the service has never been impressive, which is likely because every time I go I have a "new" server who I've never seen before. This tells you all you need to know...... The food and drinks are good, but unfortunately the staff really doesn't seem to care about anything. On my last visit we stood at the host stand for 5 minutes and no one came over to seat us even though 2 servers AND a bartender saw us standing there and chose to converse with each other instead. This was at 2pm on a SATURDAY, so it's not like they were busy.... That incident led us to leave and go to Sine next door where we had a great experience. Champps is great for a drink and sports, but if you're looking to be given even "mediocre" service go to Sine across the street......Or a chain restaurant LITERALLY anywhere else.
Horrible service... We've been here for way over an hour and we haven't gotten out food yet. And it took the waitress 40 mins to finally take our order. Plus it's not when crowded.
Bad service, fish n chips were soggy and tasteless, I can see why Champps are closing down left and right.
Each time i went for the fight, the staff was limited which caused for a long wait for food and drinks. Also called for a reservation which she gave for a party of 6 and upon arrival was told thst reservations are not given because of the fight. It seems they have communication issues all around and need training with their staff. They did not move with a sense of urgency and seem very detached with the incoming crowd. The server said that if i didnt get served that i should've called him over. If the staff communciated this then we should not have to summon him over. There is a lack of training and understanding of duties all around mixed with volatile attitudes and needs to be fixed immediately. I understand that it is fight night but you should be ready to serve a high capacity of people. This bar has the potential to be great but hosting fight nights without appropriate staffing and training will translate to losing revenue.
Oh my- the best customer service I've had for long time and good Guiness Onion soup. Will be back.
Just want to chime in, seeing all the 1 star reviews. As a Crystal City local, I have been to Champps plenty of times and can say that the service is hit or miss some days, but the bar staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. The nachos (what I get almost every time) are also hit or miss, until I learned to ask for extra queso and they are perfect every time now. It's a sports bar with bar food, though, so let's be realistic with expectations. Happy hour is a pretty good deal and you will get better drink service if you sit at the bar. I plan to be a repeat customer as long as I live in the neighborhood.
Great place! Came here for UFC 229. There was no cover charge and food came out fast. Waitresses were very nice too. Not sure what everyone in the comments are complaining about honestly. Fight night was busy but the chefs still did a good job.
I feel like I'm the target audience here. Guy, late 20s, went with a bunch of guys to watch sports, eat food and drink beer. The service was deplorable. The waitress we're terrible (I was a server and have pretty reasonable expectations). 1 hour and 30 minutes in we had received 2 rounds. 1 round of beers, 3/5 were wrong. How do you mess up a beer order? 1 round of mixed drinks (came out at the 1hr 30min mark) and all 5 were wrong. We still hadn't been allowed to put in food orders despite asking. The game was almost over. Waitresses told us they would drink our mixed drinks and went around telling others this in earshot of us before even starting to fix the order. I will never go back. This place is worse than Applebee's... Dang.
Amazing atmosphere.. check out friday karaoke that starts at 10 pm. Drinks are great as well. reasonably priced.
Been waiting Fir someone to serve us, but nobody even bothered to give us the menu. We asked one of the servers to help us since she was tending to the table next to us, but she said she'd call another server for us and left us for another 19 more minutes. The worst experience ever. I will never go back there and will tell everyone I know to avoid that place.
Terrible!! This is my fish was badly burnt (I wish I could upload a pic). Then when I told the waiter it was burnt, he asked if I wanted him to take it back. What I want to know is, why was it acceptable for you to bring out and serve???
Took over five minutes for the hostess to even greet us. Once seated, we sat for over 10 minutes without a waitress even stopping by our table. We left without even eating.
The food was great however, we had a large party and everyone's food came at different times, over a 40 minute time frame. I had to ask the waiter if I could order an appetizer. Also, I had to flag him down to order additional drinks.
OK... Where should I start.. We get in at 0630 pm in the dinning area, we waited for the server for about 35 minutes to get our order, so now it's 0725 and nothing yet not even a glass of water on our table, food start to arrive at 0735...and no drinks yet.... If it was not raining out side we will be out of this place.... Doesn't even deserve one star.
Great happy hour. $3, 4, &5 pints mon-fri from 3-6pm
Cold food, not cooked and dirty silverware
Walked in sat at the bar. Waited 10 or fifteen minutes. Nada. Walked out.
Great placr for lunch and good price's
Great staff and excellent burgers. Zoe and Tracy are amazing bartenders. You can always ask them a reccomended cocktail or one of their favorite drinks they make. Not to mention the galore of TVs to catch the games on.
Nice place. Service is good. Large menu, worth the stop for lunch. Never been for dinner.
Atmosphere was gucci. But the service was
Nice staff, great vibe. We had a good time.
Champps is a place that can be great one day, and you walk in the next day, and it could be a completely different experience. That's not always a bad thing. I have been to Chammps many time over the years. It's a place that is convenient to meet up after work, have a few beers, appetizers and talk about the work week. It's a place that can be packed one minute, and completely empty the next. Karaoke on Friday nights and football on sundays. The food is pretty good, and for the most part the service is good. All around, I enjoy the time here most times.
The sound from the TV is so loud that you can't hold a conversation. The manager told us that it's how they like it and wouldn't turn it down. The lights are dark and the atmosphere is "stank" according to my esteemed colleague. Go to Sine across the way instead.
This is my final stop after an evening of shopping at Pentagon City Fashion Centre. Excellent happy hour specials, a great selection of beers, and good food. Oh and Zoey, the bartender is the BESTEST
Decent place for a bite to eat and a beer.
Did not taste good
Serves the purpose. Sports bar close to the Pentagon.
Omg horrible service ever, we walked in 7:55 pm and told us we can’t seat on dining area because they are too slow,Understandable we seat around the bar on the high chair, the waitress came and take our order after 15 min waiting which we already ready for ever thing and after 20 min she brings out the appetizers way too cold it was flatbread and she went to grab a plate and silverware for us cause she forgot and never comes back when I went to look for help she was hiding herself talking on her cellphone on top of that her hands was playing with her hair that was such a disgusting already and told her I can grab myself the plate and the silverware, food was very cold and entree way too cold. We ask for manager cause we was waiting almost 45 min with no food no drink and no where to find our waitress. They told us there is no manger. And We left the place with nothing been serve . Smh It use to be one of my favorite spot for all time and I hate to say it was worse service ever. Hope it will be fixed soon. But have saying that I had a great service across the stree restaurant Sie ( Irish bar restaurant)
Service was very slow, food was cold and tasted old.
If I could give this place zero starts I would. It took forever to get our food, and drinks. The food was not good, and we had to send some back. When we ordered a second round of drinks the waitress had to take our glasses, because the bar didn't have enough glassware. The service was terrible. We had to flag down our waitress to get anything. At one point one person in our party had to go back to the kitchen to send some food back. After that the manager came to check on us. He said he would take the food off of it check, but when we got the check he took the drinks off of it, so we had to get that fixed. I would suggest going anywhere else. This is a very poorly run restaurant.
We waited for over an hour. No food. Ordered a drink and it was not prepared anything like what it should have been.
Here with after the Army 10 Miler, with 2 people that ran it that hadn't eaten a meal yet that day. It took 2 hours for our food to finally come out, and after 4 of our party of 6 was served, we were informed that they had run out of the main protein for one of the dishes. They quickly brought out a burger to replace it, but we suspect that it was an abandoned dish from someone else that had walked out, as no one was getting served. There were minor things wrong with almost every dish, but we weren't concerned with attempting to get those fixed. On the positive side, they did attempt to make the experience better. The manager brought out a plate of fries for us, however it was still another 45 minutes before we we're properly served. Also, the manager did comp the entire meal, which was appreciated as having to pay for any portion of that meal would have been insulting. The food was very lackluster. Not bad, but really boring. Definitely not worth the wait.
Decent, service was fair, food looked ok. Just wasn't my scene
The meal was GERAT! Who ever made the BBQ sauce should bottle it. It's a winner in our book. The staff was fabulous if I owned a restaurant I would hire all of them. Champs at Pentagon City is the place to go. See you all soon The Moore's
My family and I came in on a slow Sunday evening. With literally 5 people in the restaurant, it still took them a long minute to seat us. Once seated, 10 minutes passed until we had to request a server. Luckily the server was nice and promptly tried to change our experience around.
Service here is absolutely slow, I find it funny that there have been 2 people who have posted a review within the past hour who complain about the same issue I'm having.. I'm a party of one, sitting at the bar.. Why should the customer have to be proactive.. As of now, so far no service has been offered to me.. I've had to ask for everything... the menu, a drink, some food...
I went there to watch UFC with a group of 20. They didn't seem to have control of the cable channels. The pay per view was switched on and off between the news and golf. Our waitress was very nice but not organized enough to handle a large group. My group's leader had communicated with management in advance of our arrival work we were disappointed.
Nothing to write home about. Service was slow, server not all that friendly, and the food was just OK.
Great selection. Friendly staff. Late night go to.
I try happy hour , i like was the beer. Chicken wings.
Tough nite, 100 teenagers visiting, slow service
My boyfriend and I have tried a lot of places in Post Pentagon Row and have not been disappointed. This place however, needs work. It has potential, but what's lacking is effective staff. They all look like they hate being there, they are not very professional, and don't give a very good first impression as we stood waiting for a good while until someome greeted us at the front to take us to our table. I didn't think it could get worse, but when our waitress had brought my beverage out tucked into her armpit, my mind was definitely set that we could have picked a better place to eat. She then disappeared when we were done eating and we sat waiting for a bit until we finally asked another waitress who had to find her for us. The food was also sub-par and not worth trying, with the exception of the chips and fries. Oberall, management lacks with hiring good staff, as that seems to be the main problem. Until they can make some much needed internal adjustments, we probably won't be back anytime soon.
Good beer menu, standard (but good) bar/sports bar food. TV in every direction. Can be a trick to find, don't park in the Fashion Mall parking garage.
Wow, while we were seated pretty quickly, it only went down hill. We had at least 4 servers come and ask us whether we had been helped. Our water took 20 minutes to come and our drinks shortly after. Our food took another 20 minutes despite ordering it at the same time as the drinks and water and the place was empty, no excuse for the slow service. Lastly, we didn’t even get one of the food items we ordered. We ended up going to Sine next door where we got much better service! Don’t go to Champps, go to Sine, you’ve been warned!
Rj the waiter is the bomb
Not really sure what is up with this place. This has been my third time there and 2/3 times I have ordered something with avocado. When it arrives to the table, it is never in the food as described on the menu. Are they trying to save money by skimping out on ingredients? Usually the food is fine there otherwise but this is something that really irks me as well as the long periods of time that the waiter disappears. Thankfully the waiters we have had are always very kind and respectable.
The service is a little laid back here, but genuine. They did take a little too long for the initial greet and drink order, but after that they hit the mark on service. The food and presentation is delicious. However the burger was undercooked at medium (some raw spots still) so order on the cautious side for that kind of food. Overall a pleasant spring time experience!
Service is absolutely terrible. Our food was cold and the bloody Mary's were embarrassing. Pickle fries were honestly good. My husband hasn't gotten his food yet and the rest of our party of 6 is done. Also, wrong orders. Highly recommend the place next door, the Irish pub. Also, I just watched a drug deal go down outside.
They have the best go to late night food.
Didn't have the special at 11:30a.m, Service was slllloooooow.
Easy stop for a good meal while touring the area. Food and service were good!
Ordered two types of drinks to be told both times they dont have or are no longer doing those drinks. In the menu and their advertisement on the table.
Go to Sine instead. Ive been here 6 or so times and had a good experience twice. Mile high nachos are awesome and everything else is bad. I once went in there with 11 people to drink and the waitress stated "you cannot sit here if no one is ordering food".... The restaurant and bar had dozens of empty tables.
Waited for over an hour for food that never came. Margarita was not prepared as pictured. Will not return.
Very disappointing experience. Most of our party was done eating and 4 others still did not have food. We were told it was because they had changed their menus. Would of thought they would of been better prepared.
Good Happy Hour specials. Air conditioning wasnt working well even though it was in the 90's that eatly evening!
Went in with family on Sunday night around 8. There were only a few people at bar...no one else in entire restaurant. There was no one at front to seat us. We waited about 5 minutes and went to back of restaurant to find someone. Service was horrible. Food came out wrong and cold. We had to go and find silverware ourselves behind front counter. Awful. Bathroom garbage was over full. Would never go back.
Decent food. Good prices. Plenty of sports.
Took 10 minutes to get seated. Hostess was high, Food was awful, worst place I've ever been.
Decent food at medium prices
I have been to a lot of restaurants but never seen a manager so concerned about guest satisfaction like the GM here. Great place for food and fun !
It's okay. Food isn't impressive. Mostly bland tasting. It's crowded by tables so there isn't much room between you and the person/people sitting next to you or the waiters passing through. The lack of room makes it non-stroller friendly and high chairs are in the way. If you just want to go to the bar and watch a game, it's an okay place. The bar does get full.
Save your money. Go to burger king. Saturday 5:45 pm. It took 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us and seated us. Our burgers came out cold. So cold that my wife had to return her burger. The patties are precooked and heated when ordered. Our waitress was very nice. The only positive thing during our dining experience.
The food was cold and not cooked all the way. Many people complained about their stomachs hurting right after getting done eating.
Service was terrible. Waited 20 minutes for my flat beer. Waited an additional hour for my cold food. It was not busy. Not one server in the place was friendly to include the bar tender. Wont be back
Megan was awesome. Great service, friendly and attentive I will definitely be back
Had lunch today w my boyfriend at the Champps in Pentagon City. Such a nice time! Our server Megan was attentive and genuinely nice. We had the deviled eggs which I recommend hands down. Much better than the Whole Foods concoction I had earlier in the week (I think they use miracle whip or sweet pickle relish bs), as they were topped with bacon and jalapeños. Fried pickles and beer were also on point. All round 10/10. Thanks for such a decent sunday, Champps!
It's Kareoke tonight and everyone sounds so great....ask for Kayla she is a great server!
Really bad. Like realllly bad
Food took entirely too long. Some people did not get food until others were finished eating. Restaurant was empty.
You can skip it. Nothing really good about this spot . Have lots of TV's but service sucks
Was referred to this bar while my eyeglasses prescription was being filled. This place is absolutely horrible. I spent an hour here and was only served one drink that took forever to get in the first place (no menu provided). I also came in during happy hour which I confirmed with the bartender. When it was time to cash out my one drink (since I couldn’t get anyone to get me another) a different bartender handed me my bill, which had the non happy hour price. I then spent 5 minutes telling the bartender how I was overcharged, but she insisted it was not happy hour. They have a trifold display that states happy hour times which I displayed for her, but she said it was wrong. I spoke my piece to the other bartender who originally told me it was happy hour and she said it was taken care of. That being said, after checking my credit card statement the next day, I was charged the full non happy hour price.
Hoped for more local beers, but decent national beer selection, the usual. Typical chainy bar food.
I visited Champps today. Megan was awesome! Great place to kick back and watch sports on a Sunday!
It was good. The truffle fries were tasty. Not disappointed, but wouldn’t be excited to return.
I want to love this place because it’s our local sports bar, but time and time again the service is horrible. Every time we try to give it a second chance something happens. Forgotten food, waiter is MIA, etc. The food is pretty good so I’ll probably give it another chance soon.
Terrible service, hardly anyone in the restaurant on a Monday night and it took 20 minutes for them to take our drink order. We were there for an hour before the food came out. Food started to come out before my beer on tap was brought out. The women's bathroom was pouring water from the ceiling, apparently a sprinkler leak. Just a bad experience.
Nice place for family dining as well as after work drinks (happy hour). Accessible parking is a plus!
I visit this nice place many times a year! This is my favorite restaurant to eat. I visit this spot many times. The cooking is just great, the crew is polite and the rates are fair. I like meeting in this spot to have a good dinner.
The place is nice ,but the service is really bad. They took forever with the food.
Great for a quick stop a d a drink.
Good food slow service the drinks are a must
Good food and it's a good place to watch sports
The worst place I've been in!!!
I’m not sure the place deserves even one star. My burger came out cold, but still have to pay for it. We called 2 weeks ago to make a reservation for 15-20 people and they were not prepared for us. Very disorganized. Still waiting for our checks 20 minutes later. Food for some people came really late, too. Total disaster
Waygu burger with pork belly was awesome. Great atmosphere
People standing around waiting when the staff could have sat them down in several open seats. Waitress told me that there were no clean glasses available so it would be a while before I could order a drink. She never came back to my seat. I got up from my seat, went to the bar and ordered a drink. Secondly, the same waitress told me they stopped serving food. I got up again went to the restroom and saw several people with food and having food brought to there table. The overall atmosphere from the staff was horribe.
Unfortunately had a very bad experience here. We had a group of 8, we were all on the same check, so things shouldn't be confusing. I happened to get exactly what I ordered. However 2 others never got their order. They forgot to put their order in. After waiting 20 minutes (okay they probably shouldn't have waited that long to say something), they finally said something's and they realized they messed up. They offered to put the order back in, 20 minutes went by again and still no food. In the end we left and those 2 never ate, left very unhappy, drink orders also took forever to come in. Maybe it was just a bad night for them.
Great happy hour bar.
Great food, good drinks. Nice help
This place is awful. Local DC resident of 10yrs, and I happily return to many places in the area, but will not be returning to Champps. I gave this place two chances and each time was embarrassing for me and my guests. The first visit came with zero service, long waits, sub par food, and the second visit was more of the same PLUS two drinks with numerous bugs floating inside and an uncomfortable hot room. (2nd drink replaced the first bug infused beverage). Simply low quality across the board, so I suggest taking your hard earned cash to one of the many choices nearby. This place is a black eye on an otherwise upscale area.
Service was good, but super slow because they were understaffed
The service here is consistently poor even when the place is empty. Unbelieveable.
Excellent. We were a large party (20+) with no reservation. The staff welcomed us with a smile and accommodated us with no issue. The staff was friendly and engaging. Our waiter and the bartender were amazing. Great prices on the menu and for happy hour.
Went with my softball team after a game as we’ve done many times before. About 8 of us order beers and food. Beer takes forever to come out, and one never arrives, with the excuse the keg isn’t working. Food comes out sporadically. My fries are cold. My husband ordered a cheeseburger and they sent out a truffle burger. When he told the server it was wrong, she took it back but proceeded to return with the same wrong burger 5 minutes later. He reiterated what he ordered, and 10 minutes later, an employee shows up with another truffle burger in a to-go box! Another employee finally asked what he actually ordered and put it in. When the cheeseburger came out, the manager said it was on them. We never saw our original server again. Another server (shout out to Kareem, who was awesome from this point forward), let’s us know he’s taking over. At that point, we are all done and just want the check. He brings it out, and they charged us for the cheeseburger the manager said was free plus TWO TRUFFLE BURGERS. Unreal. Such bad service and mediocre food at best.
Megan was great! Check on me throughout my the time I was there. I was there for the 1 o'clock games. She took great care of me for the 4.5 hours.
They fired my favourite employees. Good luck
The manager has to be the nicest person. He came and apologized for the waitress’ fault. He also took care of our bill. The manager gets 10 stars. But for the rest of the service, I wanted to give them 1 star. However, the service we received from when we enter till we got our food was horrible. We waited 60 minutes to get our food. we got here 520 pm and didn’t get seated until 20 min. 3 out of 5 foods came out 30 min early and the last two 10 minutes apart. Noone ever came to let us know that our would be late. They said they had a hige party come in so they weren’t able to serve as quickly. The hot sauce was disappointing as it looks like a petri dish. This is a walking health code violation.
Good food, excellent wait staff. Pricey
Over charged for meal and drink
Order wings, they came out cold. We got the waitresses attention so I could ask for them to be heated up, but she looked at me then immediately turned around and aalked away. I had to ask someone else to warm them up. When they cane back they were barely any warmer. Waitress wouldn't stop at our table unless we hailed her down. The TV situation was idiotic, playing a fight on all screens but BLASTING (to an uncomfortable level) the basketball game audio. They turned down the lights so low that people had to pull out their phones to see the menu. And the bathroom spelled like a homeless camp under a bridge in DC. Terrible.
I wish I'd seen these reviews before going to this place. They were out of everything we initially ordered. The service was subpar. It took almost about 40 mins to get our food. I should say to get my food. The waitress came over and told my husband they were out of what he ordered after 40 mins and asked if there was something else he'd like to pick. It took 40 minutes to realize they were out? She proceeded to ask me if I wanted to wait or if I wanted not food now. What? Of course I want my food since it's ready. To add insult my food was cold when I got it. The only reason this place is still open is because of location traffic. Pentagon Row is a busy area but don't be fooled by the crowd. This is not a foodie spot. Two thumbs down for me.
Service has historically been poor here as is the drink and food quality for its hyperbolistic pricing. Enormous layout with more TVs than can be counted. Karaoke on Friday nights...if you are into that sort of "fun".
The service was very slow. If you see they are setting up for a large group go some place else. Took 28 minutes to get appetizers and they came out cold.
Terrible service and so-so food. We live very nearby and will not be back.
Slow, inattentive service with an even slower kitchen. If you want to wait 45 minutes to get a cold burger this is the place to go. I will give props to our bartender, Tony, who comped us for the food.
After work several of us often go to this Champps. I hadn't been in awhile and heard they had new management. So we tried it out for the first time in awhile. The food was cold when it arrived and we had the worst waitress that I've ever seen. Spills on the floor weren't cleaned up and several waitresses and customers almost fell. The drinks were good from the bar. We never got water from the very beginning and our waitress said she couldn't take our plates off the table because she was too busy and walked away with nothing in her hands. I normally have good experiences with Champps but this was the absolute worst.
Tried this place the other day. Can’t remember the name of the burger it was Wagyu or something like that but it was amazing! The “truffle” mushrooms and garnishments that came on it definitely created a burger to remember. Service was impeccable as well! Thanks!
This place has the best appetizers
Not a fan. Food and drinks were not good. Staff were not overly helpful.
This is the absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I wish there was an option for 0 stars. I was a server for many years so I understand that mistakes happen: tickets don't print, people don't show for work, the dishwasher breaks, etc. But that does not excuse the level of service we received. We were a party of 6 on a Sunday afternoon during football season. A normal size party for a sports bar. I confirmed on my multiple trips to the bathroom that half the restaurant was empty. And yet our drinks took 20 minutes, appetizers 45, first group of food 1.5 hours, the rest of the food 1.75 hours. The food came out separately because "they didn't make the whole ticket." Well, the first half of the food was cold anyway. After 20 minutes of waiting to speak to a manager, I grabbed my husband to wait with me. It worked, manager noticed us likely because I had a man with me. The manager effectively confirmed that there was really no reason for the delays. The server never offered any real explanation and did not try and do anything to fox the situation. Will never be back.
It was alright, another chain restaurant with mediocre menu and cheap drinks. The service was great this is why I give it 3 stars. I will comeback whenever I am not hungry but want to get tipsy.
My first visit. It was around 5:00 on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy, so I got seated right away. The staff was very attentive. The beer menu was pretty good. The food menu had a lot of options. I got the farm burger (beef patty, bacon, cheese, fried egg, etc). I don't eat wheat, so no bun for me. Because there is no bun, you can't hide meat that isn't delicious. My burger meat did not taste like it was made fresh. It tasted like it came from a premade, frozen patty. Not yummy. Not juicy. I won't order another burger there.
Need more staff (and more motivated). Attended a work recognition party with 30 people. Most food was cold when it hit the table. First to last plate served was almost 30 min. The final plate had salmon which was very raw and cold. My co-worker could not eat it (and they were one of the folks we were recognizing). My tab at the bar was another challenge as the bartender was under-vigilant and the manager cashed me out after 15 min unsuccessfully trying to get bartender's attention (with only 5 other people at bar).
We were there for an hour before we got our food. It was hot in the restaurant as the air conditioning was not working. Went with my coworkers. Ordered the cobb salad. After 20 minutes, waitress informed me that there was no bacon and they were using the last two strips of bacon for my co-workers chicken sandwich. My other co-worker asked to hold the tomatoes on his salad. Waitress told him they HAD to put the tomatoes on the salad. We didn't understand why the tomatoes had to be added when requested no tomatoes. When the food finally came, the chicken on two of the salads was under-cooked. Couldn't eat it. Talked to manager. He was a little defensive and said it only took 38 minutes to get the food, not an hour. He was going by the time the order was put in - not the time from when we were seated to when the food arrived which was an hour. The restaurant was not crowded at all, so we didn't understand why it took so long to get salads and a chicken sandwich. Didn't re-order as it was late and didn't want to wait for another order. So, I can't rate the food because I didn't eat. The manager did comp the food for others at the table, but still argued about the time it took to get the food. This was my first visit and I will NOT return. Too many other good restaurants around. Walk over to Nandos. That's what I did.
Great food and beer. Shaunte \as an excellent server.
The food was good enough but the service was incredibly slow.
Spacious. Lots of seating
Not pleased! Will not be back! Food, adult beverages, over priced! Wait, the waitress forgot to offer us food! So we didn’t get to order to know if it was worth the price.
Most awful service I have seen in all my 77 years, Took so long to get a screwdriver a very basic drink, waitress went to the bar and took so long coming back at least four times to ask what kind of vodka Then finally said we have only one kind. After another long wait, she came back we ordered two starters and our meals. We were a seven Party table. So we expected some delays but this was ridiculous. The food was terrible, inedible except for the fish and chips and Caesar salad the bread was so stale it was hard... the bloody Mary was not a bloody Mary and had to be sent back for the price for one drink and a Caesar salad the price was way out of line.. l sincerely hope that the fact that we are a racially diverse family had nothing to do with the way we were treated.
The only good thing is there Karoake on Fridays...
Decent bar and restaurant near the mall with friendly staff.
The food was great; the service was not very good. I had to ask twice for a beer and for a fork.
This place was clean and tidy and reasonably priced meals. The beer selection was very good. You can sit and the bar or dine in for meals and drinks. I counted over 30 TV screens so you know whats going on with any game! Meals are good size and chicken wing starter was the bomb! Kelly our waitress, first day on the job, was awesome! I recommend this place for a solid meal
Food was good the service was horribly slow. Tried a second time the place was half empty and got no service at the door so we walked out.
I will try again. It's a huge place, with lots of TV'S. Truffle fries are not true truffle fries. They just drizzle the oil on them. Overall the food is very good.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. We’ve been here 1 hour and 40 minutes and still are waiting on food AND our some of us are still waiting for original drink orders. We’ve reminded them twice about the beer. Finally went up to the bar ourself just to get water. The people next to us were given plastic take-out silverware to eat with. We went up to the hostess booth ourself to get real silverware. Three of the people in our group got their salads (after 1+ hour of waiting) and the chicken is cold. I’ve seen food sitting in the kitchen, ready to be delivered, for 20 minutes now. This place is horrific.
Food came out cold, they forgot one of our members food, the appetizer (chips and salsa) came out after our main food, and initial drinks took 18 minutes to arrive. Plus their servers dropped 3 glasses while we were there.
Excellent restaurant with a Sports Bar atmosphere. You can either watch sports... Or enjoy a decent conversation. Great food and easy to access.
I would give it less but can't on my computer. Service was really slow, food when finally arrived was good. Building was hot. Drink was watered down. Waitresses were slow. Smoking area too close to restaurant, smoke in eating area every time door was opened.
Hit or miss with the customer service. Great location if you want to go to the bar before going to DC.
Service was slow and I never got my drink I ordered. Atmosphere is cool for games
It was pretty rough. Around 1/3 full during happy hour and service was pretty bad. Also, ordered food that never arrived. All in all I couldn't ever recommend this place. In fact, I'd have to discourage it. Follow up 11 July 18 Management did reach out via response. Living approximately 12 hours west, making it right might be a little tough unfortunately. The offer is greatly appreciated though and speaks volumes.
Good food
My family and I went here and once we ordered our drinks and food it took about 45 minutes to get our food and our waiter messed up our order gave my other family member the wrong drink and the fish and chips where pretty bad. If you go here don’t waist your money. And one other thing the staff was not dressed appropriately for a family experience.
Went during happy hour. Apps were good, service could've been much better.
HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I could give this a zero or negative star rating I would. Returned meal in its entirety uneaten with drinks due to missing items (sauces for platter & cake) and poor customer service on the part of the restaurant. When myself and my wife called to address the issues an employee posed as manager to get us off of the phone and said we had to take issue up with Uber eats and had to leave our home to return the food at 11 o’clock at night before anything could be done. Myself and my wife are both regional managers for a fortune 10 company and were treated as if we did not spend our hard earned money in this establishment. Once we arrived to the physical restaurant the employee who posed as a manager did not greet us (likely because she recognized us from the phone conversation carrying in our incorrect order) and once we did speak to the manager (Jackie) I asked if I spoke to her on the phone and I knew by her voice it wasn’t her but of course she lied and said yes. The manager did not attempt to accommodate but yet tried to insult our intelligence and fool us into thinking that ranch was sour cream and did not address missing queso sauce, marinara sauce or missing butter cake dessert. The manager pulled out all of the food to make sure we brought everything back as if we had lied about eating the food & we felt so violated and deceived by both employees. Poor customer service and unprofessionalism were rampant throughout this entire interaction. Whoever the employee/manager we interacted with from 11:15pm on the phone through 11:35pm in the restaurant need not be in the service industry. I’ve had better service at McDonald’s from a 16 year old at their first job. The experience was so bad that if Chammps replaced all the current employees in this location I would never go back. I wonder if all the locations are like this... I will never know because Chammps will never get my business. Thanks for nothing. I’m still shaking my head at this experience.
The food is not the bws
Had a Great time at Champps Megan was my server she was awesome . The Food was good Loaded Grill cheese
Awesome service and very professional
Good food and good service. Great place to watch sports
I love the atmosphere here. Snack foods are great. Recommend a second bartender when it's busy to reduce wait times for drinks. Otherwise a fantastic location and overall great time.
Descent food and atmosphere for watching whatever game you need to see. TVs everywhere and nice service.
Only giving one star because I can't give zero. We are here on a Friday night at 6:15pm and they are out of ribs!!! The cup they put water in has a hole and is leaking a lot. The bathroom was filthy with liquid on the floor and one light bulb was out. I won't return here. I'm very disappointed.
Ordered a beer and fried food. Walked out (paid for my beer) after not receiving order of food nor ask for another drink after 50 mins.
Ok, we had a group of 25, one server, even though the menu was pretty selected.
