This Restaurant is classified in the category of American restaurant.
Pleasant, friendly environment to enjoy a drink or meal. There are tables including a medium sized community table or their bar. While there your eyes can feast lots of artwork on the walls done by neighborhood artists! Good service. Area has limited street parking OR 3 free parking lots surrounding Shirlington. After dinner take a stroll and visit other shops!
I had breakfast here on a Monday morning. It was pretty quite when I arrived. There was no one at the hostess stand when I walked in. I went to the bar and asked the woman behind the bar if it was self seating. She said no but quickly helped me to my seat (of my choice). She offered to bring me a drink even though she was not my waitress. This was extremely refreshing. I ordered The Neptune with a side of home fries. My food was delicious! Normally I have to use ketchup on the home fries at other restaurants but these were so flavorful I didn't need them. If I lived closer I'd definitely be back.
Great Vegan food
Always an excellent experience at Busboys...
Wow! I went on a Saturday around 1 p.m. and this place was busy, busy, busy. But everyone seemed to be having a great time and were willing to wait for a table. If they offer it, get a reservation. I didn't have time to eat, so I can only speak to the atmosphere. Courteous and responsive wait staff. Large area for eating. I thought the bookstore could have been bigger.
Excellebt food, good service, great date night restaurant. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and traditional dishes all under one roof, plus a bookstore inside the restaurant, -- what else would you want? Would go there again in a heartbeat.
First time visit it was great! Would definitely go back when in the area.
Good service and good food.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food. What more could you ask for? Lots of options for all diets and tastes. Highly recommend.
1st rate as always
Awesome food and amazing community supporter.
My brother and I went for breakfast and it was delicious. It wasn't too crowded and service was quick. Mimosas r 5 bucks a pop so heads up.
Great service and nice atmosphere...not too busy. The manager was very friendly and made sure everything was ok.
Got a bacon and cheddar burger with sweet potato fries. All good. Definitely recommend the sweet potato fries over the regular fries. Regular fries tasted stale and were not crispy at all.
Pricy but good. They put a lot of emphasis on organic natural foods, which is good. They're pomegranate lemonade is really tasty. The place is very vegetarian friendly and is open late. I had a shrimp and chicken chorizo pasta. It was tasty don't get me wrong but i felt bamboozled by the price to portion ratio.
Great food, wonderful environment and easy access via public transportation.

Great food and atmosphere. Very unique concept.
One of the best places for a family. We took our friends and we just had a great time. The kids explored the bookstore and had fun as well. The food is always awesome, the service on the dot. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!
We've been coming here for years, and it is almost always a positive experience. Sometimes it is a bit loud; also, they changed the menu and don't offer my favorite thing in the world (vegan cobb salad) any more. Still, there are a lot of other vegan and vegetarian choices which make it a favorite place to eat supper.
Interesting place and food was fair. I may visit again to give it another chance.
Had brunch with the family while back in town visiting. Everything was delicious. The crab Benedict was everything I wanted. My niece had a crabcake sandwich and sweet potato fries. We were all happy with the food, and the service was on point...
A great place for some family time and a good dinner. The service is on point and the food is just great. Warmly recommended.
Me and four friends went out for dinner here, we didn't have any dietary requirements and we all ordered salads. The food was extremely good although a little bit expensive for our budget (but probably not excessively expensive). The staff was friendly and gave us good advice when we couldn't decide what to order. We spent 140$ (before tip, after tax) in 5 people with 5 salads, a bottle of wine and 2 desserts.
Brunch here was Ah-mazing! The service was impeccable and the food was delicious and hearty. Great vegetarian and vegan options as well as plenty for the omnivore to enjoy. The setting is adorable with a book store section with some woke books. I am a big fan and will return when I visit the area again.
Loved the atmosphere, the food, the service and the company I had the pleasure of sharing it all with! Great evening!
Food and ambiance is delicious! My favorite is the frilled cheese snadwich. A bit overpriced. The vegetarian hamburger is too dry.
Smoked gouda mac & cheese, fried chicken, mash and gravy were everything. Only service was a little shaky...waiter didn't have much enthusiasm serving us. And we are nice :-)
Amazing place. The best coolest vibe and food options for everyone. I am vegan and I really liked the vegantuna it tasted very good. I liked the environment even more than food. Definitely will go back
My first time there, with my best friend since childhood his daughter and my other best friend, my wife. We loved the atmosphere, books, books and more books, very relaxing, servers so nice, food selection was great for brunch. I had the best Western Omelet since moving to Virginia 13 years ago.
Great vegetarian and vegan selections! Excellent alcohol drinks!!
Pretty good breakfast spot.
I love this place! Great for getting work done in the morning, bringing friends in the evening, and perusing the book store any time of day! The food is to die for and I love their seasonal drinks. I am so grateful for a place with such an extensive menu that has plenty of amazing vegan options (my non-veg friends and I get the vegan nachos every time we come together!). I can’t say enough about this place. Thank you!
Glad they have halal food! Great coffee!
Great food with a very vegan friendly menu. I prefer the Iraqi hash or the lamb burger. Both are amazing. I only wish they took reservations as you could wait up to an hour for a table.
I can always trust that Busboys & Poets will deliver delicious food at every visit. Breakfast...delightful. Brunch....on point. Lunch....oh so yummy. Coffee...refreshing. Dinner...mouthwatering. You can't go wrong with Busboys & Poets!!!
Love this place! The Food is spectacular! Try everything!! The atmosphere is friendly and congenial. We love the service also!
Fun place. Tasty food
Food is good...if you get something cheap (under $10) you'll probably be hungry...$12-$20 you Will probably be full...many people who spend a good amount of money on food get a take-home/to-go box for leftovers...nachos are recommended if you're on a budget and need something filling...satisfying for one or nice to share if you have less of an appetite and everyone in your party is frugal. Forrest (the server) is a nice guy, he served my section two Monday's in a row at the open mic
I LOVE this place. GREAT homage to Langston Hughes and all poets. GREAT menu. I had the Lamb Burger. It was excellent, and si was the key lime pie. We came here on one of Hollin Hall Senior Center's weekly lunch trip. I will be frequenting tgis place.
I literally cannot say enough good things about this place. Service is usually spot on, the menu is well marked for vegetarian and vegan dietary preferences, and the food is outstanding. On top of that they play host to many great artistic experiences from personal to amateur, and have an amazing book store.
Nice spot for breakfast. Our server, a young nursing student, was FANTASTIC. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Western omelette was ample and tasty. Reasonably priced menu.
Had a personable server who was from the Ukraine. This was the highlight of the breakfast meal. The food was average at best. For the price I was very disappointed and would say that it is definitely not a good value. I have had more flavorful omelets at Denny's. Needless to say I will not be going back to this place. The hype must strictly be about the atmosphere and the wonderful poets who perform during the open mic nights and other events. The environment is good, just not the food.
This place is very cool, I love that it is a bookshop and a restaurant. They have a huge screen in the back which was showing the debates, which felt very relevant. The menu is diverse and inclusive and the food was yummy. Only bummer is there is very little room for substitutions and the service was pleasant but a bit slower. In fairness this was at 10pm on a Thursday so maybe it was limited staff.
I came here while visiting D.C. I ordered the vegan burger with french fries on the side. It was great. Service was great. I would eat here again. The menu had plenty of vegetarian/vegan options.
Great atmosphere. Excellent regional food and craft beers. Wonderful place to go in Arlington. I'll be back!
Great breakfast selection, pleasent staff
Great atmosphere, foods pretty good too
The best brunch I've ever had. They had great options for many different diets: gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, etc. I had an oat milk latte and the vegan egg wrap with tofu scramble and tempeh bacon. There is frequently a wait, but it is definitely worth it, and you can peruse the bookshelves while you wait. I will be back whenever I'm in the area.
I love the blackened salmon entree! I always support bus boys n poets due to my favorite entree and the for the open mic days they’ve been having since the first location on U st. Now it’s Tues - Thursday. At different locations. Will always love the atmosphere the food and the folks!
I literally cannot say enough good things about this place. Service is usually spot on, the menu is well marked for vegetarian and vegan dietary preferences, and the food is outstanding. On top of that they play host to many great artistic experiences from personal to amateur, and have an amazing book store.
Never had good experiences here, food is mediocre, service is horrible, drinks aren't that good, and they dont offer military discounts as they dont support the military. They will of course try to argue that logic and deliver the message differently.
Love all the options for those of us with food restrictions. To be able to enjoy cheese again, vegan cheese, was a dream come true! Wait staff was extremely attentive, love this place!
One of my favorite places. Good options for meat eaters and vegans dining together.
Our food took a long time, and the manager came out to apologize and give us a free dessert of our choosing, which was much appreciated.
Casual dining spot. Good place to meet friends for good food and drinks with modest prices.
Delicious food and excellent service. Even around 11AM on a Sunday–prime brunch time–it was only a 10 minute wait. Our orders were taken quickly and the food came out hot, fresh, and fast! The French toast was just the right amount of sweet and the fruit was perfectly ripe.
Good food, great service. Prices were very reasonable.
great staff that accommodated to my pickiness!
Shrimp and grits rocks! Wait staff rocks! The atmosphere was great! The ladies restroom needed to be cleaned.
Food was average and pricey but the service, coffee and ambiance are amazing
Food is amazing. Vegan options galore. Great service, very inviting
Great brunch spot, love their Benedicts. Always busy but rarely a very long wait.
This is home for me. I’m here almost every other Sunday for brunch and it never gets boring. Delicious food and friendly staff.
Great spot to eat especially for vegetarian/vegan options. Loved the fact that they are open a little later than most places. I got there around 10pm on a Wednesday and had enough time to eat without feeling rushed. Service was good, food was delicious. Location is in a cute little area with other shops and restaurants located in walking distance. Parking garage directly across the street.
This is my favorite breakfast place, I love the vibe this place has. I bring everyone that come to visit me thier and they love it just as well. The book collect is fabulous
One of my favorite restaurants in D.C. They have really cool books for children and adults. They host great events. I love coming to their open mics. I’m vegan and their vegan options have yet to disappoint.
Nice spot for breakfast. Our server, a young nursing student, was FANTASTIC. Very knowledgeable and attentive. Western omelette was ample and tasty. Reasonably priced menu.

Bartenders are always friendly, and vegan/veg friendly as well. Great food and atmosphere!
Amazing food! The banana bread pudding with coconut ice-cream was so decadent and my son ended the evening with a cocktail called Can't Tell Me Nothing, OMG...to die for! Our server Mary was so nice, will definitely be returning!
The food was not good. Our burger was burnt, dry, and flavorless. The chicken panini was horrible, tasted like paper. The drinks tasted like water... no alcohol but we were charged for the alcohol. I definitely would not recommend this place.
Great service and delicious pizza. Loved the outdoor seating. It was nice seeing everyone’s dogs and people watching. People walking by are very close to you though lol.
Perfect lunch spot for all my fellow booknerds. Busboys is very eco-conscious, hence their gluten-free and vegan menu items and their compostable takeaway boxes. I love coming here for lunch and eating outside with my dog. Their coconut tofu bites and chocolate cake are two of my absolute favorite menu items. Don’t hesitate to buy a book or two after finishing your meal.
Such a cool place. It’s like a bookstore, eatery, performance spot. The food was great! I was so excited by all the vegan options that it took some time to choose the barbecue. We also got the Mediterranean Burger and the Chili (both not vegan). Everything tasted great and the service was perfect. We met several members of the wait staff and all of them were courteous. This place has such a cool atmosphere/vibe that I wish it were closer so I could go a couple of days a week.
Their vegan options are great. I had an amazing chick'n sandwich and a delicious coffee, and I loved that I could browse some books after.
What a meal. The food hit the spot and not just that spot in your stomach that growls when you are hungry, that spot in your soul that let's you know you are among all the right people. I was satisfied, inspired and just blown away by the food and the atmosphere.
Yummy food, eclectic atmosphere, fantastic coffee. Great for brunch, too. Good for families. They have something for everyone (even the vegans in your life).
Food and service were great!!
This place is very cool, I love that it is a bookshop and a restaurant. They have a huge screen in the back which was showing the debates, which felt very relevant. Eclectic restaurant. Good food, busy.
Lunch was ok. The main purpose of my visit was mainly to get a gift card for a friend's birthday who loves Busboys & Poets. It was a very rainy afternoon. I decided to have lunch at the bar. The female bartender seemed out of it during my entire visit. I'm a very sympathetic diner. She was having a bad day - I'm empathetic. But she couldn't get it together even after a whole hour seemed to me to be a bit much. I had to order twice because my first choice was unavailable at 11:45 am. This means she either forgot it was 86d - or the kitchen never communicated they were out. Then after having lunch & asking for my check & for a $100 gift card learned they were out of gift cards? How is this possible? I've had so many underwhelming to terrible experiences at several different Busboys and Poets it bewilders me how all of their locations are so.highly rated. It's impossible that I'm the only patron having these terrible dining experiences. It makes me wonder about the veracity of the rating system on GoogleMaps & elsewhere. I've been a supporter of the owner's restaurants since his 'Skewers' days - which btw was an awesome restaurant. A place with both great food & great service. Sadly I cannot say the same for any of the Busboys and Poets locations. From Arlington to Hyattsville to Takoma to U Street my experiences have been just ok to absolutely awful. I cannot give this company my time or money any longer.
I came here while visiting D.C. I ordered the vegan burger with french fries on the side. It was great. Service was great. I would eat here again. The menu had plenty of vegetarian/vegan options.
Paper straws? 5 stars. Cultural and social acceptance? 5 stars. Ridiculously amicable waiter? 5 stars. Delicious vegan quesadilla and chicken sandwich? 5 stars. Cute, inspiring bookstore? 5 stars. AKA 100+
Went for happy hour and got two apps and a drink for less than $18. It was great to get some work done and grab a bite to eat. They also played the democratic debate which was a plus since I don’t have cable.
Very good service. Food and drinks are good too. Outdoor seating on a nice evening is a bonus.
Out of all the locations that over been to in DC. This location by fair was the best. Amazing service great food and a wonderful atmosphere. I know that seems weird because all the locations are basically set up the same. I will most definitely return.
We had a long day traveling and exploring DC and we're happy to find a place that was open late. Our dinner was the perfect end to a fun day! I had the grilled chicken panini and hubby had the blackened tuna sandwich. Delicious!
Excellent service
Amazing bit of nostalgia and great food
Always love Busboys! Every location has a simiar yet different vibe! But the menu is consistent!
Love this place!!! Never dissapoints! Outstanding vegetarian options! The vegan Mac and Cheese is yummy! Their tempeh bbq sandwich is delicious! And dont forget to check out their bookstore-super cool!
Amazing drinks and atmosphere. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan recipes.
Pricey but the vast variety of options provided for any vegetarians, vegans, or anyone who don't want to eat meat makes this place a go-to. I must say though... their fried chicken dish was superb.
I enjoyed myself here. I didn't go in hopes of seeing a show and didn't, however I'm glad I visited. The area I set in was tight especially because I have to use a wheelchair. The staff was nice and the food was good. My love for this establishment is the accommodations they make for vegans, vegetarians and regular food eaters (didn'tsee any pork on the menu, but doesn't mean it wasn't there). It was my first time so I haven't tried but one dish and loved it. Can't remember the name but it had shrimp, chicken sausage and pasta with cream sauce and garlic toast. This is a spicy dish...awesome. My server was outstanding.
The food Market was wonderful and the service was great! I had the Blackened Salmon and my friend had the Shrimp & Grits. Both dishes were delicious. This was my first time at this location (usually frequent Hyattsville), but it won't be my last.
Out of all the locations that over been to in DC. This location by fair was the best. Amazing service great food and a wonderful atmosphere. I know that seems weird because all the locations are basically set up the same. I will most definitely return.
Great brunch. I wish they had a few more options for pancakes or waffles (they only had sweet potato pancakes), but the French toast I ordered was amazing! Portions were big and the atmosphere felt very local with special touches.
The food is excellent. Worthy of 5 stars. The tshirts as I came in the door were off putting.
An incredible menu for any mood and any type of eater!
They have a gluten free wrap that I love and that's why I went in for lunch on this visit. They were out of the wrap which I can't ding them for that stuff happens. But the waiter told me they had a gluten free bun when they didn't and my burger was way overcooked and had no taste. I sent it back and ordered a bowl of chili, that shouldn't take long. It took forever and the waiter blamed the delay on the fact they were still wrapping up from brunch. When am order does not come out correctly the server or manager should ensure the replacement is made quickly.
Inspired by Langston Hughes, busboy turned poet, this funky restaurant would have the Clintons, Obamas, Oprah and Ruth Ginsburg feeling right at home. My Cobb salad and key lime pie were delicious and the waitress wonderful.
Quite literally the best latte I've ever had. Food was great and the service was truly fantastic. Can't wait to go back.
Food was good. Bloody Mary was worth going for. Service was meh. Cool little book store section.
I love the general ethos of this place when it comes to ecological concerns. And if you are veg / vegan / gluten free oh, this is the place to go.
We went here for breakfast on a Sunday, and arrived around 9:15 am. The restaurant got full, fast! Within 45 minutes, the entire place was packed with customers and it's not a small place! I can understand why though- the service was superb, our waiter was attentive in spite of the full restaurant and always on time with the coffee pot. The food was delicious and the portion size was just right. The ambiance is pleasant, with lots of interesting decor to look at and wonder about. The name of the place is related to some literary work or history, although I can't recall the details. I would recommend a visit here to relax and eat and visit with family and friends (oh, and the place is kid friendly!)
The chicken sandwich is to die for. It's amazing. The poetry nights are so fun. The books are lovely. Staff is kind. I love the environment and the welcoming audience for any poet or artist. It really makes you feel loved and welcome even if it's the first time you've ever stood on a stage.
Went for brunch on Saturday. Got there about 11am and it was crowded but didn’t have to wait long for a table. We didn’t wait too long for our food either, but I could tell it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. With that being said, it wasn’t bad. The place was super cute with a book area to the side of the dining area. However we were walking out around noon and the place was a zoo. The entry is very tight and it was packed to the point where we couldn’t even move. Also points taken away because they don’t have Coke products, only Pepsi. Overall decent though! It was a cute little cafe vibe.
Great food, some of it organic, at a great price and a funky progressive vibe
Really cool, eclectic space. Very crowded on the weekends, but that is to be expected. Rating is a reflection of my food experience. I had the Mediterranean lamb burger, which was amazing, going in. About an hour after I got home it came right back up. I was so hurt because the food was sooo good, but clearly something was off in the cooking process. Still had a great time there!
Should tell you the happy hour until 6:50. After that its full price. However, drinks and food are good
It was a good. Went for Mothers day and had to wait 20 minutes which was expected on Mothers day. I ordered the French toast with potatoes and it was really good and filling. Staff was friendly.
Great atmosphere and exceptional food!
Nice place for brunch and dinner We always go here before hitting the signature across the street. Eggs Benedict was very good and is hard to find these days.
Very unique and great food.
Never a bad experience. I had the Shrimp & Chicken Chorizo Pasta on this visit. It was a generous serving and it was delicious.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere !
The book store inside created a wonderful experience for the kids. The food wasn't bad either!
Loved the theme of the restuarant. The food was good. It was nice that there were lots of gluten free options. I got the fried chicken breast. Which was good, not great. Needed more sauce. And the sides were meh. Much more hype than it could deliver.
We had a long day traveling and exploring DC and we're happy to find a place that was open late. Our dinner was the perfect end to a fun day! I had the grilled chicken panini and hubby had the blackened tuna sandwich. Delicious!
Love Shirlington, good food
Great food and service was awesome!
Great food as usual but felt a little bit of discrimination because we were told that our dog had to be put outside of the fenced area on the patio. Then another party came and their dog was inside fenced eating for the duration of their stay and no one said a word to them. Didn't make us feel very valued or appreciated as fairly regular customers.
The catfish was delicious! I cleaned my plate! I will definitely order this again.
Great meal. I had gluten-free French toast. It was delicious! The shrimp and grits lacked flavor though.
I love everything about this place! The service is top-notch, the food is delicious with lots of vegan and gluten free options, and the culture is diverse, open-minded and accepting. Keep up the awesome work, Busboys and Poets!
Attn: VegHeads. Eat here! Like half the menu is vegan and delicious! The vegan mac n cheeze is dooooope. The falafel wrap is great and the vegan chicken sandwich is amazing!
My mom and I go here all the time, we love it! Amazing atmosphere and service, but mostly I adore the food
I have gone twice. Food was good, tasty. Breakfast food very nice. Coffee of good quality. Customer service is very good. Prices fair and at par with other establishments in the area. Restaurant is kept clean.
Great atmosphere. The service is excellent and the staff very friendly. It's a great mix of age groups and a very multicultural environment. Everyone is welcome and you feel it. It gets very busy for brunch so plan accordingly.
Had mezza appetizer was just ok. Atmosphere is nice service was good
Great options for the American classics. Try the bagel with lox - at least once! Can't wait to go back for that again! Love some matcha? The tea lattes are everything! Tasty options, there's a section for the bookworms, and the staff is always so super kind and helpful. Get in there!
The waitress was very sweet and kind! She knew us very well when we ordered something complicated. Very quick on her feet! I wish I remembered her name. Forgive me if I'm wrong but It might be Jessica?
Friendly service, delicious menu selections, and fun artsy atmosphere. I enjoyed an excellent Cobb Salad for lunch recently!
Great lunch meal with coworkers! I ordered a vegan burger to go along with a Caesar salad. Everything came out phenomenal for my meal. The customer service was too notch as we were seated within seconds of arriving without a reservation and our sever was attentive to accommodate substitutions to each of our meals and beverages. The layout is homey, yet library-esque and coffee-shop-ish, in some facets. I'd recommend stopping buy for a solid meal. Also, the prices are affordable as each was approx. $12. Did I say stop by, if you get the chance? Well if not, do so if you get the opportunity.
A great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Good vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options, as well as tasty food for omnivores. The book shop is small, but what they have is all good stuff, and the staff is helpful if you need a recommendation.
The service was spectacular, the food delicious, and the portions were hearty. They have SO many vegan options, I was in heaven. Ice cream, mac-n-cheese, pizza with vegan cheese, cheese cake, and so so many more. My family had a wonderful evening here. I can't wait to go back!
Great food and service! I will definitely be back!
I need to go for the food next time. Went for a friend who was performing poetry. But they are vegetarian and vegan friendly. My brother and his girlfriend are vegetarian, so I always look out for places that they might want to check out.
Great food and atmosphere. Brought my family here in 2 different occasions and they loved it.
Nice atmosphere, good food and friendly servers.
Alexandra: Thanks for the great service for me and my family. Our orders (rustic pizza, turkey burger, and vegan "beef BBQ" sandwich) were fast, correct, and delicious. The falafel and coconut tofu bites as appetizers we're delicious too. Thanks for a great dining experience! We'll be back!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food. What more could you ask for? Lots of options for all diets and tastes. Highly recommend.
Eggs weren't cooked at all in the Benedict (super runny whites) and we ordered 2 medium burgers. 1 was well and the other was under medium. Inconsistent. Great environment and super nice employees though, but I rate on food.
While I would normally give Busboys and Poets 5 stars, I was disappointed that I couldn't order vegan nachos here at 1pm. Apparently many of Busboy's best options are only available on their dinner menu, so I will not be returning here until it's after 3pm.
Great! Recommend 4 after Signature Theater
Just excellent home-cooked food. If you are a vegan, they have food for you and if you are not they have food for you as well. No matter what time you go, the food and service is great!
3.5 stars for the first visit. It was okay. The service was lovely but the outside patio smells so bad like dog pee it was hard to breathe when the wind shifted. The burger I had (which I realize is incredibly basic and not a good basis for total judgement) was overcooked but tasty and the fries were fresh and tasty. My friend had the Reuben and he loved it, as well as his Caesar salad. My first visit to any of their locations. A little underwhelmed but willing to give it another try.
Ana from the U Street location is awesome. She is a Manager there and always pleasant when I go in about three times per week
Cappicino and sandwiches we had were really good. Service was nice. We will be back.
Excellent vibe and delicious food make this a place I'll return to time and again
Has an extensive vegetarian menu and feels accepting of alternative food choices. I go mostly for brunch, but have also used the lounge area to meet friends weeknights and knit. Great staff.
Amazing food, great service
Great service. Nachos are delish
Great place for vegans and non vegans alike! I had the vegan vegetable stirfry a d it was delicious!
I don't get the hype. Food and atmosphere were both just alright.
Great food and the vegan tuna was so good
Great place for happy hour before Signature Theater. Good food good service.
We had 2 apps for a late lunch (brussel sprouts and lamb sliders). Both were well made and tasty. They were satisfying without being particularly special or unique. Service was acceptable.
Tasty global food variety with some vegan items. Tea latte, wine, salads, sandwiches, hummus, lamb medallions, Korean barbeque vegan bites to name a few things. Take out self order kiosks. Open till 11pm is a bonus for late dinner. Love the place.
Great service lovely atmosphere great selection of food
The best veggie sammies I've had! Brussel sprouts done just right, and scrumptious pecan pie along with the best server, Harvoni G.!
Great atmosphere, food, and energy here. Perfect spot to catch up with an old friend for coffee or a place to dive into a good read.
Family and kids friendly spot! Nice location easy to go. Good choices of food, fresh and delicious, excellent customer service. They have enough variety of food and drinks, good bar, friendly staff. Relaxing and comforting place, and I highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!
Great service. Good food. Nice location
Good service and food
This bookstore and restaurant is the very place for anyone to squat by themselves or with a group of friends for lunch. There is a bit of history here and offers a wide variety of Black History kids literature, more than I've ever seen in my 20 years of teaching. There's nick nacks like magnetic words for your fridge, puzzles, journals and bookmarks but with fun sayings that are cute and attractive. The food came out prompt, hot and delicious. My partner and I got the falafel as an appetizer which came in a savory, light sauce with chopped onions and cucumbers. We both had sandwiches on the menu and sweet potato fries, which were delightful. Our waitress was attentive and cheerful making the experience very memorable. There's free garage parking within walking distance, which is helpful in a downtown atmosphere, as well as other things to do in the area. Enjoy!
