As you know, we do not usually stop to set tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Southern restaurant (US).
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and food here! We had a special to start which was only ok (melon wrapped in prosciutto, melon wasn't ripe) but the burgers were amazing! The sweet potato wedges are huge and regular fries were nice and crispy. Great selection of local beers on tap too and they have tasting flights for only $3-4 if you can't make up your mind. Definitely plan to come back here!
My go-to bar in the entire city for beer. I guess it helps that I live just a few blocks away. They have constantly rotating taps with world class, award-winning brews. It's on the pricey side for a beer bar, but it's always been worth it for the quality and the diversity that they have on tap. Shout out to Adrian the bartender for making the place feel like a home away from home too.
Professional service, good food.
Not much going on on a late Sat night visit. Kitchen was closed and male bartenders were nice.
Awesome place for both locals and out of towners. #bringbackoberon
Great neighborhood spot with awesome beers on rotation. The nachos are pretty awesome as well!
Server forgot about our table and we waited 30 for drinks. But the burgers were good.
Good food. We had to seat at the bar instead of waiting for a table because there was a slight wait but we got our food quickly.
Good beer spot with a big selection. Little pricey so not a multi beer spot but lots in the selection. Don't order food here though! I had some bratwurst pigs in a blanket that were cold in the middle, I couldn't finish it. Neither could my coworker who ordered the same. Friend's nachos were not good either so that went unfinished. If you're looking for good craft beer and craft beer ONLY then this is a decent spot.
Typically great service, a consistently excellent beer list, and great bar fare.
Great experience. Food was very good, diverse beer selection. Very accommodating to families with young kids.
Real nice looking place. Has new Upholstery
Another nice place to chill. Friendly waiters. Great beer selection
Friendly service, great food and beer selection!
Great Food, Amazing beer & Great People. What more could one ask for!?
I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday, we were just in the neighborhood and we happened to find this place on google maps. The Brookland Pint a laid back neighborhood bar with a Great microbrewed beer selection. Truly a hidden beer Mecca, staff are very friendly as well, I definitely have to come back here
Decent selection and a nice atmosphere, but a little pricey
Management is rude. A big group of teachers came to happy hour after the last day of school. The server didn’t come to our table so we used the bar to order drinks and food. 3 hours later a hostess/server came over to tell us to scoot over because there were guests coming in. We filled the table with a few of us standing, there was nowhere to go. She kept arguing with us to “just make room.” We asked for the manager he came over and told us we weren’t actual diners despite ordering drinks and food- because we had used the bar instead of the server. Then he said fine you can have the table with so much attitude and no apology for making us feel like garbage human beings (meanwhile every other table is a quarter full at best and there’s literally an empty smaller table). He came back to tell us the couple needed a high chair, so that’s why he needed the edge of our table, I don’t know, to guilt us? He came back to tell us we can’t have dogs on the patio- we’ve been here 3-4 hours at this point and not a single person has said anything and there are 0 signs that dictate this. But he didn’t just say that, he said, “Oh, AND you have a dog? There are no dogs on the patio, nobody told you that?” *Throws up his hands and scoffs* “A customer got bit by a dog, that’s why!” This tiny sleepy puppy had been in someone’s lap the whole time and was not going anywhere near other people. Needless to say, we will never be choosing this establishment again and we will be sharing our experiences with others.
They have a really nice menu and the structure of the restaurant is really nice. I like the occasional smoke Pitt on Saturday. They have outside seating, a bar, and add it on alb away from bar seating at high-top tables. Hostess at front door and bouncer at night. Bring family and friends. Located next door Brooklyn metro station.
The beer knowledge of the servers is surpassed only by the quality of beer they serve! Nearly everything on the menu is delicious, I especially love what they do with their sweet potatoes. It's possible on any given night to see monks at the bar which is always a rare sight anywhere else.
Great spot for drinks with friends after work. The empanadas are really good!
The BEST homemade vegan burger in DC. Hands down.
Relaxing, Great ambiance and great service.
Come for the beer, stay for the beer. Eat if you need to. Great vibe and excellent service.
Poor Service. The hostess didn't greet me. When requesting a table for two, she gave a sarcastic "yeah", walked me to my table and just left us there. If it wasn't for putting two waters on the table, I wouldn't know where to sit. Then waiting 15 min before being served, the waiter comes over and says he'll be right with us, than has us wait another 10 min. I left before things could get worse. I heard the wings were good, but I'll never know.
A solid place for a pint and tasty bar food.
Great little neighborhood place in Brookland! Very cute, love the decor and ambiance. They have a great selection of craft beers, some local ones, and some from all over the US. They have some cocktails, they have cider and meed, and have about 4 red and 4 whites. They just open and this is their opening list, so they might expand it within the next few weeks and month. The place is great to have a drink and diner, they have a fantastic patio also. And a good mix of people. My friend and I had the burger which were really good! Our meat was maybe a little bit more toward median than median rare but over all very good! They have a nice menu, I really want to try their scallops with pasta, and the chicken liver pate! Great place to have drinks!
We walked in at about 2:45 and were handed brunch menus. After sitting at our table for 10-15 minutes without so much as being brought water, I went up to the host and asked when we would be served. The host offered to take our order but then said we'd need new menus because it was 3pm and brunch was over, suggesting that we should wait even longer to place our order because no one at the restaurant bothered tending to us. I'm going to qualify this review by saying I'm rating this particular experience rather than the restaurant as a whole. I've been to Brookland Pint a number of times since moving into the neighborhood and have had great experiences every time. This was a very disappointing departure from the norm. Either way, the only way to characterize the service we received today is absolutely awful.
Love this place relaxed atmosphere, good food....a but hard to find as construction surrounds it...worth the find!
Great food, reasonable prices and good service from the waiters, the place is small but well organized, I recommend it.
Amazingly good food & beer...totally nailed it!!
Awesome staff and drinks
Food was good but the staff was mediocre. Had to repeat our orders several times and didn't know what beers they had available.
Solid beer choices and cool atmosphere
Good food, poor service.
Average value. Great $15 burgers. Serves the students of the Catholic University of America as well as the off campus neighborhood of Brookland.
Food and service was good but one thing that bothered me was upon arrival we were told it would be a wait, we saw open tables but decided to see what would happen. Once we sat those tables stayed open a majority of the time we were there and other tables opened up before the first few were sat, meaning there was no need for a wait. I guess they didn't want to put two people on a table for 4 but seems silly to potentially lose guests that are waking in over an imaginary 4top that might not come.
They usually have new menu for each season, great place for happy hour.
Ordered a burger med-rare, it came well-done. Okay whatever, but the manager came over and said he'd comp our beers--he also said, "no one wants to be here, well maybe you all do." But when the bill came nothing was taken care of. Also, their picnic tables are falling apart, lucky to not get a splinter. Fine other than these issues, don't think we'll be back.
Great sit-at-the-bar hangout with entertaining staff and excellent brunch. I had the Cajun shrimp and grits, some of the best brunch food I've ever had. You're given a menu when you enter and you order at the bar. Always sit wherever there's the most people. The people are very entertaining and provide an excellent experience.
Best buffalo wings I've had in a long time
Third stop on beer tour. The food was good and service acceptable. Beer selection was quite good.
Absolutely wonderful. Make sure it's payday tho.
Great beer selection. Wings are good
I would give more stars if they only had a better service team. It seems like everyone there was new. The food is good and the beers good
Really great selection of local beers and nice service. Not overly busy and right off the metro as well which is nice. Food is good.
I came here last weekend with a few friends and had a wonderful experience. The beer selection is fantastic. If you are looking for good local beers or imported beers, this place will do the job. The bartenders and staff were nice and easily accessible. The bar has plenty of seating and is a great spot for large groups. The wooden tables and chairs are excellent and give a good vibe to the restaurant. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, it was a little fatty, but good portion. The sweet potato wedges are a,amazing and are freshly made. One of the waitresses broke a glass and the manager gave our table free beer samples. The beer samples were rather nice of them to do. This made the overall experience perfect.
Allow dogs on your "patio".
Nice spot with lots of beer options, will definitly return.
My neighborhood watering hole. They've got consistently impressive tap lists, friendly service and consistently good food. It's hard to beat their locals happy hour on Sunday too.
We had a strange experience with our check...it was one of things where the waitress (who was great) made a mistake and the manager wanted the waitress to take the 30$ out of her tip. I've not seen anything like that. Seems little novice as far as making it a smooth experience so 5 stars for the food and drink 0 stars for the management.
Not sure why I'm just learning of Brookland Pint, but the food is great! I went twice in a week (what can I say...I'm a FOODIE!). I went during happy hour the first time and LOVED their Brussel sprouts. I cant remember which burger I had, but it was DELICIOUS and the sweet potatoes fries/wedges are a MUST have! The 2nd time I went I tried the chicken and waffles and LOVED it. You cant go wrong with Brookland Pint.
Nice place.. good drafts..adequate menu
Awesome wings. The other food wasn't bad.
Cute place limited seating no parking.
Good prices and great food plus lots of beer on tap. Great local bar
They should update the food menu more. Good amount of beers though and they usually have whatever popular sports game is on multiple televisions
We only had a few appetizers, the sweet potato wedges, nachos and the naked chicken wings. Each of them was good but the star was definitely the nachos.
Can't beat kids eat free on tuesdays. Kid friendly and great food.
Family friendly, good beer and sports on tv...go team
The best place for a beer in Brookland.
The service was great. The wait for the entrees wasn’t long at all. The food is tasty and filling. Definitely would go again
Great place with a great selection of drafts! Stopped in quickly by myself before a comedy show and found some great conversation with locals. The food looked great also, will have to try the brunch next time I'm in town! #localspot
I was disappointed in the food and service. I thought it would be better. Food was cold and the service was inconsistent.
Lackluster service, with a decent beer list and OK food.
This is only a food review, not rating the alcohol. The environment it's superb with hard wood finishes, rustic feels, and a certain modern appeal. The staff is friendly, and attentive. Near the end of the meal, I found myself lacking refills, but throughout the meal, I was well taken care of. I got the pastrami ruben which was fantastic! But the side of fries I got were under fried, and a bit soggy. I feel as though this was a small mistake, because I was the only person in my group that had fries like this. Overall, the restaurant is average. It was a good meal, but wasn't worth the 20 dollars I spent.
Nice beer list. Good amount of space. Really personable staff. Happy hour could be a bit more inexpensive but still good.
Somewhat overpriced, but not bad food or service.
Great selection of beers, great atmosphere l, and the caprese burger was out of sight!
Honestly, they have a great beer selection. Go there for happy hour and try something new. However, do not expect anything special from the food. It is ok, not bad. Just nothing special and probably a little overpriced.
Indoor outdoor didn't know any of the beers on the menu but the food was great
1st time here but I like the atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming here again. Not far from my job.
Great beer selecting n and tasty food - always had great service too :)
The burgers in this place are amazing. The meat is juicy and perfectly cooked and one can build their own burger, so that's great. The variety of beers is also huge and they serve some really good local brews. My favourites were the Astro lab CaCaowabunga and the Firewalker Parabola.
Good tap list but they don't allow dogs on patio.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. A bit pricey, but you won't be disappointed.
Great burgers. Kid friendly.
Went at a busy time on a Monday night so I knew I might wait a bit. Waited longer than I thought I should have in the end, and then had to wait even longer because my order was wrong (it was actually someone else's). The drinks were good. Best thing I had all night was the pulled pork nachos. SO delicious and tender. Definitely couldn't stop eating them and would HIGHLY recommend.
This place has consistently terrible service. Also, their recent menu changes are not for the better. I am always disappointed every time i come here.
Great drinks, friendly bar staff
Good food, good beer! Wish parking situation was better, though I wouldn't knock them for that. It is DC, after all.
The food itself was pretty good, however the bathrooms were sub par and they were 'out of coffee' at noon.
The chicken wings, duck wontons, and fries were amazing. I am happy that there is a brookland pint since meridian pint closed. It's just in a very busy college area that doesn't have adequate parking. Will return for happy hour one day.
A nice neighborhood brewery. I really liked that you could get half pours. Nice for my wife who likes the heavier beers, but does not always want a full one. Very friendly staff. Nice to be able to sit either outside or right next to the tanks!
I was here for a dinner meeting. After going around in circles for 30 minutes just to find parking. It's always like that in DC fashion. I finally found parking at the kiss and ride Metro Station. We ordered the crab dip for an appetizer even though it was very delicious for four people, there could have been more dip to go around. And a little bit more crab meat in the dip as well. There was more cheese in the dip than crab. But you did get a hint of Old Bay, and crab. I had one of their build your own burgers. And that was the biggest burger I think I've ever had. I had to cut it in half and save the rest for later
The beer was great. The food wasn't bad, just not as good for the price.
Good draft list, and great burgers!
Overpriced food and drinks...small portions and low abv
Southern food. Well known in the neighborhood. Good choice of drinks. Needs more ventilation in my opinion. Great place to go with friends.
I come for happy hour every now and then and it's always a good experience. Bartenders are friendly, the food is really good and there are a wide variety of beers and drinks to choose from. Definitely poised to become a neighborhood fixture in the future.
Great beer and food
The beer selection is awesome! Its a great place to try some new things, and the location is perfect for grabbing a pint and wandering around the cool little shops nearby. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is unique in a great way.
I've visited several times. Their beer selection is on point. How can you beat 50c beer?
Great atmosphere. Great value, fun folks!
Food was fine, not great. All of the booths in the restaurant were severely torn.
The food was great. The service was great. I ate too much and it really was their fault.
Much like it's counterpart- Meridian Pint- it has some great burgers, drafts and sides. We've only sat in the bar area where you get your own drinks and order your own food, but it all goes pretty smoothly. Only once have we had an order come out wrong. It's a good place to swing by for a late night ale and a bite.
Great spot in Brookland, good beer selection, good food. Solid choice for meeting friends or having dinner.
Good local spot.
The food and drink options are decent and the atmosphere and layout is actually kind of great but the pricing is way too high. An obnoxiously hipster vibe, "Try this 9 dollar beer I bet you've never heard of." The food is only all right and I wish the place would turn to a more comforting pub vibe rather than trying to be the cool beer bar in the neighborhood.
Good burgers, decent beer selection.
Easily one of the best places in the City to grab a nice stout and a really good meal and the food here is better than it is at the other location Meridian Pint which is actually just two blocks from me.
Nice quaint spot. Only 2 tvs
There are a few nice places to eat around this area. This isn't my favorite but the burger is good quality. Bartenders are also cool.
Good burgers, lots of beer. Note that not all the beer is served in pints. You can pay a pint price for 5 oz of beer. Restaurant fails in privacy of restrooms and supply of hand towels. Air dryers just don't cut it.
Best burger ever! Exceptional customer service.
Great service food and environment. Needs better parking though big time
Great beer selection. Lots of events. Great staff!
Good menu, good ambiance, attentive and pleasant waitress.
I've come to the Brookland pint a half dozen times and I've always enjoyed it. The honey Sriracha wings are great and the beer selection is phenomenal. Veteran friendly, hell just friendly in general, the staff is easy to chat and generous with recommendations.
The location is a bit hard to find parking nearby but inside it is even sleeker than Meridian Pint which I've been to countless times. I sat at the bar but the dining area was very nice from the look of it. Their beer selection is always impecable at either location and on my last visit they had a beer that you don't often see outside of the particular breweries more southern distribution market. I also got some chicken nachos off the happy hour menu and was very pleased. The staff was friendly and we chatted a bit about their whiskey selection which is small but very respectable.
Stayed in DC for four days and went here the times. All on separate days, we ended up going for lunch, dinner and brunch. The mimosas are delicious with fresh squeezed orange juice and their breakfast burritos are to die for. Their burgers are solid, ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly. All this and the prices are reasonable. I'd give this place five stars but there was a hostesses the wasn't the most pleasant person. That said the wait staff and bar tenders were nice and attentive.
I haven't been in awhile because of parking. But the situation has gotten better for parking. I pretty much always enjoy my experience in Brookland
Good food and service
Great for kids. The staff clearly knows how to be welcoming to kids/families. I don't know of another place with family restrooms and 20+ craft beers on tap!
Great neighborhood place with food that punches above its weight and friendly staff.
Great selection of beer and delicious food. The Sweet Potato wedges are on point!
Good beer selection. I loved the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with good sweet potato wedges. My friend said the salmon was good. There is a nice outdoor patio.
Nice selection of beer
Very pleasant, nice place. I ordered the Charcuterie and it was very good. The restrooms are in excellent condition. Very clean. I will come back.
Drinks and atmosphere was the Bomb
The Sriracha wings are super hot. The drinks are pretty good. I hear their beers are even better
Awesome vegan burger! We will definitely be back.
Good beer good nachos
Service was slow but the food was great, when it was finally delivered
Wasn't too expensive
Great beer selection, reflecting the current America.n scene (half IPAs, half bold selections from stouts, sours, and so on). My service, though basically efficient, was lacking. None of the three bartenders who checked on me seemed remotely interested in whether I was a happy guest, and one was particularly uninspiring. A BBQ Cubano is an interesting idea but poorly executed. Was there any mustard at all? Why did the ham have no taste? Why was the Q 75% fat? Texas toast not a great choice, either - a Cubano needs some tooth to it. My biggest complaint was the sweet potato wedges, which were really just huge chunks of sweet potato that had been barely fried. Smaller wedges, and longer in the fryer, would give a crispy bite with just a bit of tender on the inside. So - good beer menu, interesting menu ideas, but overall not the greatest execution.
Solid college heavy bar right by the metro and Catholic. Great beer selection - was there for a Bell's tap takeover. Didn't try food, but looked like typical bar food type offerings with some HH and late night specials.
Great beer and great service. The atmosphere is also really rad.
As a bartender, perhaps I am more scrutinizing than most, but the bar STUNK. It smelled like the mats hadn't been washed in days. I didn't get a drink, because I didn't want to imagine what filth was in the tap if they can't even wash their mats or clear their tables. Additionally, I watched the bartenders count their drawers and put the stacks of cash onto the bar mats. These are the same bar mats where the glasses are stacked face down! When our food came, the quality was average, but the lack of cleanliness and lack of concern from the staff left a bad taste in my mouth.
Food can be hit or miss. Burgers are good nachos were bad.
Beer is decent and food is pretty tasty service is usually a little less than ideal, especially for lunch service
Great beer selection on draft AND bottle list. Food was good. Staff is friendly. Overall excellent experience.
Asked how many sliders were on the Happy Hour menu and was told 3. When delivered by a different person there were only 2. I questioned it and was told "No, there are only 2." "But she told me 3," I said. "No, that was wrong there are only 2." And that was the end of that . . . and the end of my patronizing Brookland Pint.
Great food. Seating inside and outside
Delicious food. Staff was pleasant, appropriately engaging and anticipated needs well.
Great beer menu. Lots of types of sour ales. Local beer. I had a pilsner and curry tofu. Really amazing food. Great service. Amazing patio.
Yummy local spot...
Good atmosphere and great service.
Good beer selection and late night eats
Their beers are pretty good. A good bar to go to
Probably the rudest service I have had in a long time. A bartender is supposed to be "nice". And wayyyy too expensive. Fantastic beer selection, though.
Great food and ambience.. Try their burgers-the bomb! The vegan burger was delish- it was a generous and salad came with it. The server was quick to take our orders and was very professional. This will be my go to for brunch or late night dinners!
Good food, even when one of our party had dietary needs. We experienced a slow period as it was after lunch, but it was a good lunch meeting.
Great food, fantastic beer selection. Can accommodate larger or smaller groups and wonderful atmosphere.
The beer selection is good. I've had their burgers twice, and they have been overcooked and not very flavorful each time. The service on one visit was perfectly good; on another visit we had to pull teeth to get seated, and they didn't get our orders right.
The place was nice. The bartenders were also very good. The person checking ID's is a jerk. I'm 22. Guy was acting as if I'd have to also bring my birth certificate. He looked younger than me for goodness sake. He spent SEVERAL minutes staring at my license. I quick look under a blacklight would show all of the holograms. He was extremely rude. Seriously, either get a damn blacklight or get rid of that guy.
Decent food, long list of beers. Never had good service there. Their sister restaurant, Meridian Pint, is consistently all around excellent, wish BP would follow their lead.
Brookland Pint is a small and cozy, but still lively, spot within walking distance of Catholic University. There are plenty of food options for all dietary needs (try the vegetarian nachos!) and a great beer selection with lots of choices from around the DMV. You can also do flights! There is more bar seating than tables/booths (though there are a handful) but in good weather the patio seating is nice. Come for any casual occasion and you'll have a great time!
Pretty good food and a nice beer selection. Restaurant not big but not crowded. Nice big bar.
Delicious food and attentive staff. Clean. Local food and beverages. Way too cold inside. Handy to Metro. Outside seating plentiful.
Overpriced and beer too cold so tasteless
The beer selection is solid 5/5 stars there, but the food and service were 3/5 when we were there. Maybe they were short-staffed - no one told us - but we waited 15 min for a server to greet us [at an inside table, 5pm Fri] and take our 1st drink order.
Good place for happy hour. I had a very good cocktail, and the place is spacious and feels homey. A good neighborhood spot!
Great fries, food, and service. Couldnt sample the beer due to stopping by while on lunch break. Only issue was the traffic lights out and people not knowing how to 4 way stop and yield to pedestrians.
I really enjoy the atmosphere. Usually go after 10pm when they have the $11 burger/beer deal. Great beer selection. Servers and security are cool and awesome with the customers.
