AMAZING little diner experience!! I came here for a quick bite to eat when it was snowing one night, and was pleasantly surprised by what I stumbled into. Boasting a full service bar, I instantly grabbed a seat and found myself studying a very unique menu full of food items not available anywhere else. On top of that, all of the staff was very friendly and talkative, which is always nice when done with charm. The food was excellent, the prices were even better, and overall the entire experience was incredible. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area, especially anyone stopping at the Greyhound for a layover!

Pretty tasty little burger joint. The have a full bar so get yourself an old fashioned. Drink prices are reasonable. Burgers are great and cooked to order lots of different styles of burgers and you can make your own as well. Have shake for goodness sake they are super good old fashion shakes made with quality ingredients. It can get busy but they have a hostess so put your name down grab a drink at the bar while you wait for your table.

Good selection of vegan and vegetarian items, but priced to match. It's cool that the shakes can be made vegan, but they use coconut ice cream (which can really hurt your stomach). I don't care for fries that have more breading than actual potato, but that's personal preference. They do have a good selection of booze. They are always packed around lunchtime and the music is super loud, so be prepared to wait awhile. If you get anything to go, it comes in Styrofoam, which isn't necessary given the alternatives these days. Staff is hit or miss, but what place isn't like that? All in all, not my favorite, but I would recommend it for some people.

This is definitely one of my favorite burger places in Richmond. They also have really good hot dogs! The prices are respectable despite being a little higher, but it's worth the cost. The staff is mostly younger people but they are all very friendly and helpful. The location is good too and despite the fact that the parking lot is small, there always seems to be spots available. The biggest drawback to this place, if it had one, is that it itself is tiny.

I have taken out of town family members here and everytime they are in town they request that we come here to eat. Very disappointed in the service I was giving on 8/29/19. With a family of 4 seated outside eating, 2 gentlemen seated at counter eating, this would be quick service for my party of 2. WELL IT WASN'T. I waited 20 minutes after placing my order only to hear server (Dillon S) convey a back up in the kitchen. A nearly empty establishment at the time, WHERE IS THE BACK UP. Dillon S, this line won't work with me on future visits. YOU DID NOT REPRESENT BURGERS AND BREW WELL TODAY

Best burgers in town! The fries are great. The staff will do anything to ensure that you have a good meal. Seating indoors or outdoors under a cover is really fun. Can't wait to go back.

It's honestly just ok. Five guys and Carytown Burgers have better, bigger burgers for much less. For the price they charge for the burger, you'd think the sides would be included. The mac n cheese is awful.

Great place for a date night or a night out with friends! We’ve had to wait a bit both times we’ve been but they have tons of games to play while you wait like jenga and large size UNO. The burgers are excellent and the milkshakes are huge! Great happy hour deals as well. Highly recommend stopping in next time before a movie across the road.

Great little burger joint. We showed up at 9 30 pm and they still fed us with no whining and crying. We are pretty much the last people to close the place down. The menu is wiflde and cool. They have something for everyone. I would definitely come recommend and would be going back for more

We decided to go to Boulevard Burger and Brew because of such high ratings and our craving for a really good big burger! When we got there we were hesitant to stay because of the lack of space and how loud it was but we decided it would be worth it for a really good burger! We order the macaroni and cheese bites and they are definitely amazing and came out super hot and fast. Then we order our burgers and we were disappointed to see with a higher priced burger that French fries were not included! Well again we decided it’ll definitely be worth it for amazing food. We have a lot of patience with restaurants because of my long past in the restaurant business but we started getting frustrated when it had been over a hour later after we ordered and still haven’t received food, but noticed other people that were seated long after us were already eating! We made direct eye contact with our server and she immediately came back with our food. It was cold and our buns were soggy almost as if the food was waiting in the expo window for a while and she forgot about it. We were starving so we decided to eat it anyway hoping it would still be good and we definitely were not impressed. Food is overpriced!

That was d*mn delicious out of all of the burgers, giant hotdogs, and fries, not to mention the different craftbeer selection. Limited seating inside so you may be outside in the muggy hot summer weather, but it doesn't matter with classic American food this good. They've got very unique burger and dog combinations, and I already can't wait to take a big bite of the Mighty Moe or whatever that double stacked one is called (even if these had a bit more pepper than usual, which I didn't get a picture of that one).

This has been our fave restaurant for years after ball games, but in the past year or so the quality has gone down so significantly we are not returning. Burgers are NEVER medium rare, cole slaw is a mixed bag. Tired of wasting and sending food back. They charge higher prices but deliver fast food quality food. Atmosphere and servers are nice, but food is well below par considering other nearby options. Very sad to see this one decline so badly.

My family and I are out of towners that found this place literally driving past it, and stopped. It was a great decision. On top of the awesome burgers, make sure you save room for the the adult milk shakes and the deep fried cheesecake.

Holy burger heaven. My boyfriend and I consider ourselves burger enthusiasts, we’ve eaten at almost every burger place in Richmond. As we were eating we BOTH declared that this was our new favorite. He ordered a Notorious B.U.R.G. and I ordered the same thing with one patty, we split loaded fries. The burgers were cooked to the PERFECT medium temperature, nice and juicy, perfectly flavored. If you don’t like a good grease dripping burger, this place isn’t for you. The meat is moist and delicious. The fries are so good also! Price is very good and even somewhat cheaper than other less tasty burger places in Richmond. We will absolutely be back!

I have had the pleasure of eating and drinking here a few times, and each time it has been a good experience. I like the layout, very much like a classic diner with the glass walls and giant peninsula bar in the middle. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The wait times have been reasonable; quick when there are few others dining, and not too long when they are really busy. The food has been really delicious every time. I plan to keep this location in mind for future reliable places to eat.

Food and location, very good! Drinks were fantastic! Staff? Meh...started off very lack luster with about 70% capacity...once we got the first part of our order, our server seemed a bit better. One complaint about most restaurants of late...before they actually close, staff is sweeping and spraying chemicals all around you as you are working to choke down the end of you meal. This has started to be a systemic issue in the food service industry. It'd be an easy 5 star if the service was even just 10% better. Maybe nobody tips any more based on quality of service, so there is no incentive to be pleasant to people?

This place gets really packed once the weather is nice. But the food is delicious. They also have some of the best milkshakes I've had since moving to the area. Some of the milkshakes also contain alcohol (and they're equally as amazing). Parking does suck though. You probably have a better chance of finding street parking then finding parking in their lot.

I had really high hopes for this place considering it has amazing views. I got the bow tie burger. It was not that good at all. LISTEN TO ME : the meat didn’t have a lick of salt not even a tiny bit of seasoning. At first I thought the menu was kinda strange. But then my gf told me this restaurant is catering to the ppl who don’t have color. So I kinda understood that. One of the burgers have apricot jam on it. So yu get my point. My waitress was kinda bad as well. It’s like she didn’t really want us sitting in her section. I tip really well so yu should be mindful how yu roll your eyes and treat folk. I honesty would not suggest this restaurant. My son had the chicken fingers. Once again it lack seasoning. This place over rated and I’m disappointed. This place was so good. Even though it was busy, service was fast and correct -- even when I made a substitution on my burger. It was cooked to order and tasted amazing. I can remember when this was a Kelly's hamburger shop!!! I was quite surprised and shocked to find that there was a new burger joint in the old Kelly's building. Talk about something going full circle. Boulevard Burger is well worth the visit. tasty burgers, tasty shakes, tasty fries! Price is pretty reasonable. Staff is definitely friendly. I would recommend it for anybody that's looking for a hamburger in the area

Going there for the first time, I was pretty impressed with the 50's and 60's theming inside, and was even more impressed with their service. The food was quite a treat and their burgers were quite unique and have a flavor palette for every walk of life. Highly suggest if you like a burger, if you like some good food, or if you like the 50's and 60's aesthetic.

I wish I took a picture of what I ordered (I ordered to go) but while I waited I tasted a couple beers they have on tap and talked to a few other guest in there. The serving staff were good people and not to mention it is convenient location to the Bow Tie movie theater and not far from The Diamond. The food was good however I will not return unless it's for takeout. The service was terrible and I mean terrible. One of the people I was eating with didn't get his drink back for 20 minutes when the waitress took it for a refill. The receipts were incorrect when we got them too. We were tolerant of the poor service and thankfully another waitress came out to help us. The table beside was so fed up with the service they spoke with a manager. So food was great but the service was so bad I don't plan on returning in the near future. Parking is a problem too. Update: The owner said he read my review to the entire management team. Will edit my review if I go back to let everyone know if it went better or worse.

Came here before a concert, the food here was absolutely amazing. I want all of my burgers to have Mac and cheese on them now. Their little "waiting" room is perfect with fun little table top games and a Pacman machine. Drinks were delicious as well. I will be coming back to this place whenever I make a stop in Richmond.

Me and my wife stayed the weekend in Richmond and we searched for the perfect place to have dinner the last night in town. This place has great reviews that said the burgers were "amazing." Unfortunately, we didn't get food or service that was "amazing." The venue appears to be closer to a small diner with a bar? Very limited seating and very cramped. The service was very slow, which would be understandable since they appeared to be busy. However, with the word "Burger" in the name you would think that would be its saving grace, right? After waiting an hour for our food, it arrived at the table. Both of our burgers were cold and the $5 large order of fries we shared were barely warm. The $14 burger I ordered (which does NOT include any sides) was not only cold, but was soaked in grease. We were very excited to try this place especially after reading the reviews, unfortunately our experience was no where near what others have experienced. IN SHORT: 5the food is over priced and the venue is definitely not suited for large groups of people.

It was very good food and milkshakes. The theme of the place is nice. I had the hot dog which was gigantic and delicious. My friends had the burgers which they also enjoyed. The milkshakes are great as well. They have "adult" milkshakes were they but alcohol in but we did not try those so I cannot provide any feedback on that. Everything is a la carte but still not a bad price overall.

Great burgers, from the basic to the bold. Dogs, chicken, fish and vegan options, too. Satisfying portions. The beer list offers something for every palate, and changes regularly. It's a great place to try something new. Dessert choices are phenomenal, with almost a dozen different boozy shakes, as well as non alcoholic and vegan versions. And the funnel cake fries are to die for. Three of us almost finished one serving.

Well you are given the option to eat inside or out on the patio which is roughly about the same size as the restaurant. So plenty of seating. Also the atmosphere is one of classic 60's or 70's feel to the place. I chose the Notorius Burger w/ Sweet Potato Fries. Both were "Delicious!". I will for sure be visiting them again!

Love this place! I only visit RVA a few times per year and this is on my list of places I have to hit while I'm in town. The loaded tots are amazing. Definitely worth a visit!! Go at off-peak times to avoid a parking nightmare and potentially long wait times. Their kids menu is solid. Apple slices for sides and soft serve for dessert. My son (5) loves it. Great beer selection. The boozy milk shakes are delicious. It's all great.

Went to Boulevard the other night with my girlfriend to grab some food. I ended up getting the Sally Classic and my girlfriend whose Vegan got one of the Vegan burgers. Our server Madi, was extremely great and made sure all our orders we’re correct especially with the Vegan milkshake we ordered too. The manager that night also kept on checking up on us to make sure our experience was delightful and perfect. As a fellow cook and restaurant employee, I really appreciated all the effort and attention Boulevard employees showed us that night. Thanks again for making our experience an awesome date night!

Authentic milkshake and burger joint. The entire restaurant has windows for walls. Tough on their AC bill but makes for a really cool atmosphere. Their burgers and shakes are awesome as well. My brother picked the perfect establishment to treat for lunch! The wait to be seated was no more than two minutes. The hostess asked if we wanted to be seated inside or take advantage of outside dining. The employees are provided exceptional customer service with a smile. The food is fresh! This place looks like one of those pre McDonalds burger joints. It has ample of outdoor and indoor seating. I had the sliders. Three was enough, but if you're hungry get 6. A basket of sides is probably enough for three. The shakes looked good and went down fast. Great old time feel diner.

Definitely my favorite burger spot in Richmond! My favorite is the Little Moe burger and their fried pickles are AMAZING! There is dill in the batter. So good!

I stopped in here, because I had been wanting to check them out for a while. We arrived about 12 on a Saturday, so it wasn't really busy. After a brief look at the menu our server came over and introduced herself. I got the sliders with the secret sauce on the side, and a order of fries. My son got the Plain Jane, and fries. After a small wait our food came out. I ask for a knife to spread the sauce (it's just a little spicy) on my sliders. After 5 minutes I got "oh you needed a knife" I didn't bother to say anything about my fries that never came out. At that point my son was done eating, and I had lost interest in my food. I did try my sliders, and they had a good taste. I took 4 out of 6 home to heat later, because they had gotten cold while I wated. I was pretty disappointed with my visit. I will return here and try them again at some point. I understand every restaurant has their "off days". Maybe next time...

The food was great. Everyone in our group loved their burgers. The onion rings and tater tots were also really good. They have a pretty good beer selection for a smaller restaurant. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because our waitress acted like everything was a bother. With that being said I would still go back because the food was so so good.

Big fan of popping in here for happy hour on the weekend and grabbing a burger. I like boulevard for their interesting topping options and old school decor/feel, feels like you're hopping in a time machine. Haven't tried their shakes but I will update the review when I do!

Fun place! Large selection of burgers and hot dogs, lots of shakes. Patio seating, tables indoor and bar area. Picture enclosed was the Ankmal farm, delicious selection of mushrooms with some kale and goat cheese. Husband had the Moe, double patties and cheese and onions. Perfect size portions. Table service, great waitress. Sweet potato fries weren't sweet potatoes, rather regular fries with seasoning.

Great service and good food! I kind of wish the burger was a bit bigger, but it was delicious! The sweet potato fries were good as well. All in all, if this place and 5 Guys were side to side, I'd go with 5 Guys. The location of this place is awesome; it's right by the ball park and movie theater. Outdoor seating is enjoyable. You should give it a try! I've seen lines out the door and around the corner at times, so maybe I just caught a mediocre day for food.

Came for the V72 vegan event. Got the chili cheese dog and vegan burger and they were great. The sweet potato fries were the best I have had, and I've had them from many places. Lots of beers on tap. Only issue is that because if the event, it was very crowded. The server at the bar was phenomenal!

Excellent burgers with an amazing selection of ways to top them. The triple play add bacon is one of my go to meals and the other sandwiches, especially the chicken aka the fowl ball. I love the ambiance with an old school diner/drive in feel but with a great beer selection on tap and adult milkshakes or regular shakes if you arent of drinking age. The fried green beans are a must try and the sliders are to die for. Always reccomend this place to anyone asking about a good burger.

One of the best burgers we have had in Richmond. The interior dining area is small so there are not a lot of tables, and there is no waiting area making waiting for a seat awkward. I would recommend that in the winter when the patio is not open, the owners put heaters so people waiting will have a place to stand that is not in everyone's way.

I come here probably every other week or so. The burgers are hands down the best in the city. Portion sizes are perfect, good meat to bun ratio. I always get the Belgian, it is so good and different from other places. ALWAYS get the tots!!! A small order is good for two people. Service is great when not sitting at the the bar, sit at the bar and service can be very so so. But that's cause the bar staff is constantly filling drink orders on top of food.

Have loved this place in the past. Stopped in for a late dinner the other day and was disappointed. Our server may have had a long day but she was not friendly or attentive. The manager probably noticed the look on our faces and stepped in to make sure we were taken care of. And the food was just ok this visit. Not the "mmmmmm" yummy I remember from previous visits. Too many other restaurants to try in the area to warrant coming back to this one for a while.

the burgers are seasoned! and delicious! it's really busy there all day but we were greeted and seated quickly. food came out very quick, I was surprised. Mac and cheese could be seasoned or cooked a little better but all else was great, this was our first time here. waitress was nice checked back mostly , pretty well.
