If I could give this more stars I would! This place was AMAZING from the service to the food. Our group tried the wings, drumsticks, and strips both flavors. I LOVE the soy garlic so much—it’s to die for. I also loved the spicy but let me tell ya, you’ll need some dang milk. Super spicy but BURSTING with flavor. We also had the fries, the salmon ball, and the popcorn shrimp. Omg seriously everything was so good and fresh and the fries were some of the best I’ve had. I can’t believe I’ve never had bonchon before because it’s my new fav place. Like I want to bring everyone here to experience the flavor. Our waitress was great! She had a trainee with her and they both were attentive but not overbearing, and she had a super great memory lol. This chicken is so good but it does take about 25 min because of it, so don’t come here expected to get in and out super quick. Call ahead if in a rush. LOVE THIS PLACE ♥️

I have never had Korean fried chicken before, and now I feel like I've been missing out on something for my entire life! This place is wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is great, I have absolutely no complaints. I can't tell you which one is better; the sweet chicken or the spicy, so I suggest you get a plate with both on there. The ginger soda helps cut some of the spice. It's a great place for families, or a date. If you're looking for fried chicken in Arlington, I strongly suggest you try this place!

Horrible customer service! My first experience was great but when I just called in 4/17/16, the guy who answered was very snobby and act as if he didn't want to take my phone order, then I was put on hold for over 5 mins and when he returned I just said cancel my order. I just moved here and I am a culinary arts student. I was just about to do a great write up about this place but that has changed. Get workers who love customer service and who loves to do their job! The experience makes a huge difference!

Very popular place, but this was my first time. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. I sat at the bar. The bartender was super cool. They have a decent variety of beer on tap and bottled. Free parking in the back (garage). Separate take out window. Important note: Great chicken and rib eye place. Not a huge variety if you don't eat meat. They have a tofu salad, udon noodles, a few shrimp dishes and fries. Recommend trying at least once.

Great Korean fried chicken and other dishes, but not very customer friendly. I tried to call to place a takeout order but no one answered the phone. After several tries I decided to place my order in person. I wanted a 15 drumstick meal to take home for dinner but they wouldn’t allow me to divide to order to adjust the flavor options. I wanted 10 garlic soy wings and 5 spicy, but they would only agree to half and half. The spicy is pretty spicy so I don’t need half of my order spicy. Anyway, the inflexibly seems silly. After no luck with getting the order to reflect my needs I ordered all soy garlic and was told the wait was 25 minutes. I normally wouldn’t complain about the wait but I tried to call in advance but NO ONE answered the phone...I called several times...Anyway, the good is good enough to go back but I’ll actively be looking for somewhere else offering similar options and better customer service.

There's so much to love here, but very few options to eat. This could be a problem if you're in a large crowd with dietary restrictions, but if you're game for some tasty food, this place is a great choice. Most of my friends love the wings, of which the spicy are on point. I'm a sucker for the bulgogi wrap and fries. The sauces, the meat, and the filling is flavorful and fresh. Get it and you may find yourself skipping the wings.

Got the fried rice plate and it was okay. Nothing special. Was expecting more honestly. Would prefer to get half the serving for half the price because the plate was too large. I would say order it for two people

So I have a Bonchon in Fredericksburg where I live but never went and passed it for years..some reason decided to finally go when I was in Arlington. Best decision I ever made. So I roll in, hungover, and order rice because I thought that's all I could stomach. However, i also ordered the soy garlic wings and drums combo and it changed everything. When people say this is the best fried chicken ever it's no joke. To quote my boyfriend "it's stupid how good this is". Between flavor and texture, everything was perfect. Their "addicted yet?" that's printed on the box couldn't be more true. I ended up having their wings like 3 more times that week. In fact, the night before, my drunk self ordered pizza and wings from Domino's that I thought at the time were amazing....after Bonchon I ended up throwing the rest of the Domino's away because in comparison, it was trash and I wasn't gonna finish them (this may seem like a joke but it's not). They are a bit pricey but my bf and I agreed it was COMPLETELY worth it. ALSO (I don't remember his name) the bartender here was amazing. We ordered our food to go but gave him like a 35% tip off our $40 bill because even though all he really needed to do was hand us our food, he was incredibly helpful between helping us make a good food choice to being super attentive. I can't really get service like that even when I'm eating in restaurant at a table that's being waited on.

The service at this location started out great. We were seated quickly, and rightfully so since it was pretty dead at the time. It was only one other couple in our section and they were gone before we left. Unbeknownst to us our server went on break after his other table left. We had to wait 20 mins before someone came to check on us and that was only after my friend called the store and asked for our check... The manager on duty was rude to us when we asked for a discount on our bill... Needless to say we won't be returning to this location! However I can say the food was VERY DELICIOUS!!!

It's candied chicken. What's not to love? Good service at this location. Recommend you skip the chicken legs, as they are not as flavorful as the wings, which do come with the drumettes.

I honestly go here way too much. Most of the waiters know my order when I come in. If I was ever on death row, the soy garlic chicken would hands down be my final meal. They also have great cocktails (which they rotate seasonally) and the seasoned fries are always a big hit if you’re with a group (or you could eat them all by yourself, no judgement). Literally my favorite place in the DMV.

THIS is how you do Korean fried chicken! OMG!! Little tip: the boneless wings are actually the only thing they don’t make right there at the restaurant. They’re totally amazing still! Especially the soy garlic!! However, if you want the real Bonchon experience, get an order of wings... the spicy is pretty dang spicy, but it won’t kill you and everything else is delicious too. Top it off with a great selection of imported, domestic and local beers and you’ve got a SOLID place to grab some incredible chicken!

The chicken (drums, wings) is fantastically crispy without being greasy. The sauces offered are tasty, but I prefer the spicy one. Never sat down to eat at the restaurant, so I can't comment on that. The kimchi slaw pairs nicely with the chicken. It's a little pricey, but not outrageously pricey. Just a smidge higher than par for the area. Portions are good on the chicken side, but the sides are a bit small. Overall quite filling for me. One small observation, the chicken doesn't seem to reheat too well. Probably because it's so good fresh. Don't save it, just devour it while it's hot.

To be honest I was not really impressed. As much as people praised this place I was a bit disappointed. I spent a grand total of $65ish I purchased all the flavors of chicken. I bought drinks at the bar to show you side by side what you are getting. My took one sip and hated it. $10 a drink with almost zero variety. As you can see the drinks are filled with ice. The fries I spent $6 where so so a bit disappointing especially since it looked really good. The onion rings my gf liked them personally I don't eat them. The service was extremely slow. Almost 45 mins but the place was empty. Last but not least the chicken. I had them two different days. Day 1 they all kind of tasted the same. I can deal with a high amount of spice. My gf not so much she instantly was dying and making faces while I was eating out of the spicy chicken box wondering which one was spicy. The soy garlic one was the best one. The sweet one was meh. Day 2 the flavors really started coming through the spicy one was noticeably the spicy one. The soy garlic by far the best. The spicy one now tasted like buffalo chicken. The sweet one confirmed disappointing not really good at what it be was supposed to be. I can see many people skipping over the soy but like others have mentioned the best one. It's almost like buffalo wild wings with less variety. When in my mind I pictured upscale restaurant with uniqueness. Even the take out boxes looked like chick fila to me without the quality. This might be my be my first bad review. I eat at different places often. I guess if you never go out it might be a treat. Maybe I went on the wrong day.

I would honestly give this place 6 stars if I could. First off, the wings are amazing, the breading is perfect and both sauces are great. The Apple sake is delicious, and the servers were all super friendly and they brought us more food when we accidentally dropped some. Great time, you won't regret coming here

If you go during the week after 1 pm its not bad and there's plenty of space. But weekends and evenings can be challenging. The chicken here is nothing less than "Awesome". But the preparation takes time so be patient. Its well worth the wait. There is street paid parking and free retail parking in the rear. Service is quick and prompt and the menu is reasonably priced. If you decide on "take out" plan at least half an hour ahead. My favorite? Hard to choose but I would start with the Garlic Soy!

Wow! By far the best wings I've had in DC!! The menu offered something for everyone; the wings selection includes drumsticks. The spicy wings had a really nice heat after the first bite and the garlic wings complemented the heat. I will definitely return!

Oh my god! Have you ever had that eyes rolling back in your head feeling after taking your first bite. The only way I could describe the wings was "oh my god!". They had a magical kind of crunch that I've never experienced before. We stopped for just a snack and only had the wings. My wife doesn't like spicy so we got the soy, garlic flavor. They were truly amazing! The menu had many other interesting options at very reasonable prices. I just gotta say, the wings were amazing!

We love Bonchon but this location did not offer the full menu of the newer locations. So although we were disappointed my husband still ordered wings, which were excellent. The space is sleek, fresh and modern. The people friendly and accommodating. The bartender told us that the kitchen staff would be training on the new menu items. We will definitely return.

I really like taking people who are unfamiliar with bonchon to this place when they visit. The chicken is just fantastic. I recommend getting the soy garlic sauce as opposed to spicy or half and half, as the spicy sauce loses some of the flavor that I love so much in the soy garlic. When it comes to the rest of the menu, there are some solid options, but I typically have the best experience when I just eat wings until I'm stuffed. Understand that this place has one gimmick that it does exceptionally well and that the rest of the menu has little impact on my experience. The chicken's just that good.

My first visit to a Bonchon here. WOW. I have never had wings that good in my life! The texture when you bite into it was a whole new experience. The fries were also really good. Wasn't crazy about the other sides as much. But I came here for wings and fries and it was ace. Service was also top notch.

Best fried chicken ever. The chicken no matter what piece you eat is succulent and tender melt in your mouth deliciousness. My son was visiting from North Carolina and we took him to Bon Chon for dinner he fell in love with the place now every time he comes in to visit us he wants to go there. As a matter fact he wants to have his birthday dinner at Bonchon that’s how much he enjoys and loves the chicken and the other appetizers on the menu especially the fried dumplings. If you are looking for excellent fried chicken I highly recommend Bonchon chicken on Pershing Avenue in Arlington Virginia.

This place Customar service is so bad and rude. I went there for take out. I was waiting and waiting. They was doing there own staff in front of me . They don’t even notice me. I can see the food, that was ready. After a while one lady came and ask me you here for take out, I say, yes mam!!!!. I took it a try to leave the as fast as I can, but I can’t. One guy maybe Korian. He called me hay, and he say: you can’t show my stuff your attitude, me: what attitude. Then he was so rude with me. I leave the place because I was in a rush and I don’t want to embarrass my self. Please keep this your mind. Get ready for this situation. If you go there be a loyal dog. Otherwise you will be in triable, like me.

Great chicken! Good menu! An upscale fried chicken restaurant which also serves other tasty dishes, alcohol and interesting mixes created by their GM. Pork bun recommended by our waiter was delicious so were the Zucchini fries! A great place to go on a date, with friends and family or just by yourself. Great food! Came here with some friends and got a bunch if different dishes. I don't think you can go wrong with any of it. There's also a good sized drink menu. My only note is that they aren't joking about the spicy-ness. The service was fast and the waiter was great about answering our questions. Will definitely be going back.

This place servers bangin' fried chicken to which one could become addicted. Some argue that Kochix in the District is better. I, however, prefer Bonchon because they put less sauce on the chicken. It's a sit-down place with a bit of flare with good Asian beers available.

I ordered just chicken strips and fries on Tuesday night and Wednesday at 4am I woke up puking my guts out and having diarrhea for the rest of the day and going into Thursday. It must have been just one bad piece, but it was all it took.

Their soy garlic wings are unbelievable. Multiple times I've eaten them until I'm sick. Their spicy wings are good, but are REALLY spicy. If you do get the spicy wings, get the pickled radishes to break up the spice.

A talented bar staff and wings worthy of the standard placed upon the name by the oringal Fairfax location. Parking can be spotty at times but the food never disappoints. I'm a spice fiend, but only if the food os still delicious. I come here whenever I get that craving and I have yet to experience anything but satisfaction. The wings pass the "test", where you have the wings straight from the fridge the next day to determine the quality of the ingredients. I recommend the BonChon wrap w/bulgolgi to have between wings.

I came here for a going-away we were doing at work, this restaurant was the choice of the person leaving and after having lunch here I can see why he chose it! Our party was very large but the wait staff here accommodated us. They were impressively professional and attentive, especially compared to some other places in the area. They are famous for their chicken, so I tried the wrap, and it was amazing! Very juicy and flavorful. The spicy is very hot so try it only if you really like hot food! I will definitely be coming back with my family.

OMG i am a huge chicken lover and this place is my heaven. Went for lunch and got the strips while my friend got the legs/wings. Tried a little of everything and it was all perfect. The portions of food for cost was a great deal, had to take home half of it which turned out great the following day. The spicy chicken is no joke super spicy but delicious. Would recommend this place for sure. Live a few hours away but will most certainly be returning.

I don't know what they do to this chicken, but I can't get enough of it! If you haven't tried it yet, you need to come visit the Korean KFC...It's a little pricey, but they have a great lunch combo deal. Oh and the fried rice was really good too (but come for the chicken).

Love Bonchon, but this particular one has been a disappointment. I've eaten at numerous other Bonchons throughout Maryland and DC, and have loved them. I always get the spicy wings and from here they taste mediocre at best. The taste is a combination of the soy garlic with little bit of spicy. Its as if they make one big batch of soy garlic, and when you order the spicy, the rinse it off and then dip them is some spicy sauce, so overall taste is a disappointment because now it not representative of either one. I've ordered 3 times from here, hoping each time it was just a fluke and next time it will be better, but nope. Wasted my money. Only possibility for the high rating is that the costumers they serve may not realize there are better Bonchon places around or they just really love soy garlic taste. Who knows. I'm disappointed because I live so close to this one and its not even close in taste to the other Bonchons I've tried.

First off i thoroughly enjoy Bonchon (as a customer), the food is great!! However, as a DoorDasher, the customer service from the managers could be better. Every time i come in, I have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes. Then the manager served another customer (who was waiting for a to-go order) and completly disregarded me!! Terrible customer service!!

They changed the menu and they did not bother to mention it at all. When I got my food it was different than what i usually get (i get the same thing all the time)and they not bother to give me any sauce. I called Bonchon and the girl told me that the menu has changed. I am not coming back.

This is my favorite location in my area. The food always tastes amazing and the service you receive is excellent. If you have a large group, you should make a reservation before hand to guarentee you will be seated promptly. This location is usually full whenever I go (I usually visit in the evenings). Highly recommend the potstickers and the chicken strips!

January 9, my family and i went to celebrate my birthday, but the next morning my son threw up a lot, fiance had upset stomach and his son had to go to the bathroom with upset stomach the next morning... i did not eat much but just concerned whats the odd.? my family and i had come to this restaurant several times but this happening is very upsetting since i wanted my fiance and his son to try this restaurant.... Also it's true when your a small party like two and only 4 or 6 seats are open, they will not take you right away. .. i had that incident when only my son and i, they refused us and we end up going across them (PIZZA). Not to mention yesterday January 9, we were party of 4, they wanted to put us in a small table, i requested to be seated in the round table by the window, waitress said no and i asked her why not, the other lady said, its fine, thank you for that....

Literally the best wings I have ever had! I love wings and have had them just about everywhere including Buffalo, NY. Bonchon beats them all by a mile. There is simply nothing else out there that tastes like this. We usually get a combination platter with wings and legs (half spicy / half garlic).

One of my favorite plaves to eat when visiting this area. Wings are amazing. The flavor and the way they are cooked is perfect. We also had the tacos, and they we Wondeful as well. I would recommend any and everyone give this place a try.

First of all, I love the food here. I keep coming back for the food, but there are some things I think could be improved upon. On more than one occasion, my wife and I have shown up and had to wait even though we could clearly see at least 4 empty tables. Look I get it. Those tables were for 4 people, and we were only two. But those tables stayed empty for our entire wait (20 minutes until a 2 top opened up), and three of them stayed empty our whole visit. It is just really frustrating having larger groups prioritized over us. Second problem, is that they have changed their portions recently. The smallest order of chicken strips is now 10, which is a lot for one person, and they don't reheat well at all. They also took away a side dish coming with any order. Finally, I really wish there was a medium spicy option. The soy garlic is great, but sometimes I want a little spice, and the hot is just way too hot for me and anyone I've been with. We have all commented that a less spicy option would be nice. Anyway, the food is great, and I want to love the place, but there are just a few things that could be improved upon to make this place great.

If you are a party of two dont go here unless you want a REALLY long wait. They had 3 open 4 tops and a 6 top available and refused to sit us. There was no one else at the restaurant coming in for tables but wouldnt sit us in case they "got bigger parties". Talked to the manager and he would not budge on this policy. If you are a small party take your business elsewhere unless you want to wait 30 minutes for no reason. Never heard of that policy before and it is ridiculous.

Amazing stuff. However, do NOT make the mistake of getting the boneless chicken: it's no good. The bone-in chicken wings are the greatest things on earth though.

If you must Bon Chon, Bon Chon here! Not only is the chicken fried to perfection but the service is impeccable. My group of 5 ordered several dishes and wanted to also try the Japche. Sadly, someone in our group has a condition where they aren't able to digest the sesame seeds that is in the pre-made marinade; We were about to pass on the dish until the manger and staff came to the rescue and prepared a special order of Japche SANS sesame seeds. I've been to several Bon Chon locations throughout NOVA but always come back to this location because of the food, however after this sweet and considerate gesture I will only ever come here for my Bon Chon fix!

Really enjoy the crispy chicken here. The other dishes? Not so much. Ordered a bibim bop and the fried rice one night to go. Both were pricey and both were meh. The bibim bop was the blandest version I have ever had (except for copious amounts of black pepper which I don't like) and the portion was also very small. The fried rice was truly weird - it tasted strongly of pickled ginger and black pepper which is something you don't expect in fried rice. Love the fried chicken though so we will be back for that.

The food is usually really good here but the last time I was there first we were seated next to bathroom when the restaurant was completely empty and when we moved we were told that we couldn’t sit at that specific table so had to move AGAIN. I ordered boneless spicy and soy garlic and they were super dry on the inside and the outside was just spicy but without salt. We only ate 3 max out of the 20 I ordered and told the waiter and he said that sometimes the wings may not be good depending on who made them and didn’t offer any kind of resolution so I spent $60 for something I didn’t eat because I didn’t go on a day that a “good” cook was there.

We ordered takeout and enjoyed what we got: takoyaki (octopus), mixed fried chicken (garlic/spicy), tteokbokki, and a salad. The wait staff was helpful and prompt, food was ready when promised and everything was as ordered. The takoyaki is different from the style we know from Japan: more rice flour and sweeter. The fried chicken is really crisp and well-prepared, but the garlic isn't very prominent and the spicy, while fairly hot, is somewhat monodimensional. The tteokbokki wasn't a favorite of mine. I don't know the dish from elsewhere, but found it somewhat like chicken parmesan-- comfort food, but unremarkable.
