Going to Bocata was the best decision I made since the last time I decided to go to Bocata. The food here is kinda nice, and if I could I would eat here every day. The food always comes out fast and hot, and they have a good variety of stuff for whatever you're feeling. The Bocata Nachos are my favorite item on the menu, and it's the perfect date night meal because it's big enough to feed two. I don't even know what's in the sauce but I want to put it on everything. Go here.

Arepas are served hot, savory and fresh. Tried the Reina and shredded beef arepas. Other guests tried the Ham and cheese arepa and shredded beef empanadas; they enjoyed them. The arepas are on the expensive side for their size. Would definitely try this place again and try the right side of the menu.

We came for arepas and they were amazing. Order at the register, straightforward menu. Food didn’t take long to come out, even though it was pretty busy. Standard sized lobby, pick your own seating, clean overall. Excellent experience, food, and service. Will be back again, highly recommended.

From the outside, doesn't look like much. However, the great tasting food and friendly service completely offset the outward appearance. Walked up and he handed us a menu. Very nice, patiently answered my questions and made some good recommendations. I had the hamburguesa. My wife had the Nachos and we split a Pabellon empanada. The hamburguesa was amazing. Egg, sliced ham, two burger patties, Cole slaw and a massive amount of melted cheese. What could be wrong with that? The only problem is if you aren't really hungry. The Pabello empanada wasnt my favorite. The sweetness of the plantain wasnt my preference. The nachos were amazing and very filling. I will definitely be coming back.

I love trying new places and read about Bocata in Richmond magazine's restaurant listings. It's a casual order-at-the-counter place where you can either sit to eat or take-out. It was busy on a Sunday evening. Everyone else in line knew what they wanted but the man behind the counter was very helpful explaining menu items I was unfamiliar with. I love that it's family run and they fresh make their chicha and soup only on weekends and when it's gone it's gone. The food was fantastic, lots of it, and reasonably priced. The fruit drinks were fresh made, fantastic and flavors change. Not a fancy sit down restaurant to go to for a fancy occasion but a great place to go for delicious food made by people who care. I recommend it!

The service is always efficient, and everyone is very polite (even with me not knowing exactly what the dishes are or what I want). The dishes are also reasonably priced for the portions. Try the pastelitos and pabellon!

Trying a new cuisine this Sat. First choice soup and fried rice sold out at 230pm. Obviously folks love the food here. Ended up ordering the chicken empanadas (fried) unlike the Argentine baked ones, arepas, pepito sub and pabellon. Kids loved the empanadas. Pepito was great. A bit too much cheese and bland for my taste buds. Might come back to try the other stuff. 30 minutes from home - a long drive for Richmond. Location is a disappointment.

I was very happy with this restaurant!! I visited a couple of months ago, it was my first time eating Venezuelan food. I had the patacon sandwich and it was amazing, I highly recommend it, I also tried their empanadas, very delicious. I loved the service, gets a little packed and you have to wait but totally worth the wait.. I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend it!

The flavors were perfect together and not spicy, which was great for me. The service was friendly. They took our order at the front counter. Our food came out quickly. We were on a tight schedule so we were worried we might not be able to make it to the airport on time if we stopped to eat, but it worked out perfectly! The only downside is that we live out of state so we can't eat here all the time. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a quick, delicious bite to eat in Richmond, Virginia. Food is decent, atmosphere is nice, a bit pricey from South Richmond; It's got a fusion food vibe. The main detraction, is that the service is on island time, and would not recommend if you only have an hour for lunch. Many customers seem to enjoy takeout option.

It's not in NY but here at Bocata Latin Grill it is the best burger ever! 3 different meats, fried egg, avocado, homemade slaw, OMG it's AMAZING! They really don't skimp on the meat!

I lost a bet and had to pay for dinner with my wife so of course she picks here. Turns out its actually phenomenal food and the guy working the front was really cool. Not the cheapest but definitely good eats. Even won some awards for their burger which you might be able to see in the background of the picture. Highly recommend.

Oh man. I had heard of this restaurant a month or two ago but kept putting it off because it seemed to be not really near much. On a Saturday where we didn't have much else to do, we decided to make the drive down. We got the nachos, and two arepas (pabellon and llarena) and everything was so delicious! I can't even choose which one I liked the most, because each thing was just so good. Definitely coming back again!
