Nowadays this business gets a score of 3.8 out of 5 and this score was based on 578 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is very positive, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we may say that the evaluation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Chinese restaurant.
There’s plenty of space here but the food options are very limited compared to other buffets. For $15 dinner, I expected a lot more variety. The staff was all very friendly and attentive. I just thought it was a bit overpriced for such limited variety. I wish they had sesame chicken and orange chicken.
I always go here before I go to a big concert at the Fillmore. They're always nice and friendly and there's plenty to eat
Not worth the money! The food had no taste, and tasted like plastic. Overall the food was terrible. The place was also very dirty and the staff was really rude.
Don't, it's not worth it at all. Save yourself. I've mixed frozen dinners into a slurry and had a better experience
Not good food. Food actually health hazard. Go Chick-fil-A accros the street instead, trust me you won’t regret!!
The drunken chicken is good but everything else is ok.
A family place !
It's okay. Service is good. The selection of items could be better
Great food clean and wonderful buffet style.
if was good.
My husband loves their soup here. The staff is all super friendly.
Very good and delicious food
People sneezed everywhere the food had hair on it and not cooked all the way.
Very NASTY FOOD WAS HORRIBLE THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE MY TABLE ONLY GOT CLEANED ONCE POOR WAITRESS SERVICE AND THEY ARE RACIST THEY ONLY CARE FOR THIER KIND AND THEY TRIED TO OVER CHARGE ME NEVER AGAIN
Very long waiting time and very expensive for 4 people
A lot of variety. Even offers hot soup where you pick your ingredients. No dumplings and somethings weren't that fresh
Food is pretty good. Hibachi was really good .
It is the best restaurant in family
My husband and I decided to try this place quickly before seeing a show over at The Fillmore. This place wasn't bad at all. They had a ton of options and everything I tasted was tasty. The sushi was more basic than I thought it would be, but wasn't terrible. I really enjoyed the clams and muscles. I wasn't impressed with the crab's legs as they were really tiny compared to other buffets that I've been to. The desserts didn't look too appetizing, so I stuck with the classic deep-fried Asian doughnut. The decor was really plain; no real decorations, just a bunch of worn turquoise colored tables. I was surprised that the staff seemed so bitter though. I think if one of them would have smiled, their face would have cracked. They just seemed miserable, and said as little as they possibly had to. Overall, I have this place three stars as it was worth the money we paid and the food was tasty. However, would definitely suggest an update in decor and for the staff to be more friendly. May come here again if in the mood for Chinese, but wouldn't recommend anyone going out of their way to go here unless they are in the area for something.
I love food
If I had the option to put a 0 star I would, the food was nothing more than a abomination, it was so bland and cheap, it really upsetted my stomach. When me and my friends were guided to our table, the server gave me my utensils wrapped in old tissue paper, covered in stains, it was as it was used, I wanted to complain but that would waste my time, so I proceededto eat the food. Out of all the buffets I eaten at, this is the worst buffet.
Taste is delicious , overall is good
There food is testy
Straight Garbage. It's been a long time since I last visited. So when I visited this time....so disappointed! Never again!
For the price and food variation, it's great! Follow the pros: arrive between 11am-12noon when the food is fresh. There are some items which are great. Chinese food are great, General Tso, Lo Mein, Mushroom, Shrimps, etc. Mussels and clams though may not be the best. Hot and sour soup is not exactly perfect but more 6/10. Japanese food, i would say about 7/10 (caveat: i tried the authentic Japanese sushi) but the raw fish is fine. Seafood (outside of chinese food): I tried the stuffed crab and fish, I think I would remember the stuffed crab, fish was also good but you can have it somewhere else- Dessert was good, I tried a slice of cake and it was decently good. Sesame balls were good. Pineapple and melon were also good (not bad). Overall, I paid seventeen dollars (with tip already) for weekend lunch and lots of variation of food, and it's worth it for the price i paid!
For not a cheap price, this buffet is pretty terrible. All the food was cold. The servers were pretty attentive and some of the food was okay, but definitely not worth it for the price
Nasty, nasty and they only had one set of bathrooms for all there customers
This is the best place to eat l mean the food is so good the girls give you the best service you could ask for they are fantastic l love this place
Food was not good.
Not one of the best Asian buffet. It's just ok. Did not like the fact that the server demanded a tip after I got off the table. Promoted a hibachi station, but was not available when I went. Food was ok, but you had to wait because food kept running out. Overall, I would only go back if the service was better, and offered better selection of food.
Catching the Excitement of DownTown SilverSpring one evening. Buffet hidden inside the shopping center building on the basement floor. Plenty of Fish Chinese Japanese style with some casual food. Soup on the menu board (Beef Brisket) I wanted to taste was removed by 8:PM. Wrap-around buffet bar though no real desserts.
Decent buffet style restaurant. The decor was a little dated but the visit was worth the money I paid.
Food is mediocre at best. Last time I went, the servers demanded a tip out the whole group after spending $90. I understand that the staff need tips, but the only thing they've done was bring drinks which was only one time. They kept circling around my group of friends to see if we were about to leave and when we were about to leave, 2 asian women came in demanding a tip outta all of us. My friend who invited us to the buffet warned us of the servers demanding tip but we didn't believe him and just laughed it off. But after that day, I refuse to go there. It would be a different story if the food was actually good, but it's not. It would be different if any of us had jobs but since we're underage, we don't have any yet. Due to peer pressure from the 2 angry staff, my friend cracked and gave a dollar as that was the only thing he had in his wallet. My friend who invited us gave 2 dollars as well meaning he also didn't have money anymore. Even after them being generous, they continued to make a scene as we left. All in all, it was a total waste of money and we could've gotten the same amount of food at some other Fast Food for way less money. Edit: After reading similar reviews, it reminded me how the food was also cold. Probably because it was on display for a long time. The tables we arrived at was also dirty with food left on the table from the previous group.
The variety is great
Great selection! Great price
The food is good but the only thing I don't like it is the service. The waitresses over there are really rude and mean. They never say thank you and smile. All of the waitresses. The waiters are okay. They at least say thanks for coming. And when it comes to tipping, we have to give them tips. But for that, they gotta earn it!!!
Tasty!
Good food, fairly priced....bathroom needs regular cleaning!
staff was very nice and the food was delicious except for the pork chop,I took a bite and it was nth but fat and burnt, other than that no complains
Dirt cheap and poor food quality. It's alright. The staff is really nice if you have a baby with you. I haven't tried the soup (pho?) though and there's always a long line whenever I'm there. Might bump it up to 4 stars (it's so cheap!)
There is less variation of foods comparing to other buffet. Most of stir-fry food is salty. The foods did not worth the price I paid for.
They should improve more tasty food also if you pass one pound of food they charged you lots of money without meat so i didn't like it how much the charged to me
This place is nice to eat at, the food has gotten much better than before. Lots of room for large parties and the buffet has plenty of choices. Inside of city place mall on the lower level.
Very courteous and helpful
The best buffet so far
I like it, not love it.It was cool~
Good
Is the best food I like so much
Takes way too long and services are not good.
Was told if "I don't have nothing nice to say don't say anything @ all."
Always the same selection but it's SO good, I don't mind!!!
2 plates in and I have been going for a decade.
The food is good , the waiters are nice . Great all around experience . Bring the Family .
If only you can give them a negative star. There food was COLD, TASTELESS. Not worth the money or time to go there. There garlic bread was cold and chewy. There mashed potatoes look likes grits. I will never go ever. Save your money and DO NOT go there.
Was really looking forward to this place as I have been before and enjoyed it, but as we got here one member of our party seen a roach on the food bar and we left.
It was yummy
Decent, price moderate
What happened to this place, my family and I use to really enjoy it?
Chinese buffet with no Chinese food
The food there is great I love it!
This buffet is pretty good and it has a variety of things. I just would appreciate it more if they kept it a little more clean
Great
Service great love this place
Good not great but cheep price
Nothing but chicken. Dishes all taste the same. Dirty
It just gets too crowded sometimes.
I like this buffet
Kind of crowded but the food ain't bad.
Very Delicious food
Food is amazing, many choices! Love the bread most of all
This place has the best orange soda and low mein around
Only ok Sushi is not very good.
A lot of food and great variety
the food is okay. the customer service is pretty bad tho. i recommend going in the morning so the food is a little more fresh.
I like food in the Buffett
A great place for a group of friends, and a decent price at $14. Staff will get close and a little rude of you stay too long or not tip.
Very mediocre. None of the food was particularly tasty. It didnt feel very clean. Just meh
It was awesome they do nothing
It's a good place the only thing it's expansive buffet
Great dining experience, food tasty and vast, vietnamese soup is great, neat and clean, stuff friendly easy access from the parking building
The staff are very pleasant and helpful however the food isn’t really good & the variety is scarce.
Nice buffet good food
The food here is great and I will continue to come back again.
This is good value for the price if you are really hungry. The food is just ok though. Some of the people that come here can be loud but I can’t blame the restaurant for that.
That's my favorite chinese place in the DMV so far. Good variety, fresh food. I love it. Sometimes, there could be a long line which surprisingly moves very fast.
Iove love love I, no great food I am a foodie! My Daughter and I go's their all the time we are also please with the price like the staff really love the two females at the front they are wonderful. delicious Chinese ribs shrimps and crabs
Very food. In building.
clams and mussels were good, flounder was also good, the fried shrimps were okay but way too greasy while sushi was absolutely dry and poor quality. almost dangerous to eat cause you don't joke with not fresh raw fish. The lo mein was also quite disgusting and tasteless. Spring rolls were good. I liked the chicken with broccoli. I picked lots of broccoli, they were crunchy and yummy. I did *love* the orange quarters, i had about 10 pieces. it was an excellent way to end my meal with vitamins and wipe all the grease out of my mouth. I was hoping for this to be a fairly good restaurant to come back but i don't think i will visit it again.
Great place ! Totally recommend .
Very mediocre. Plenty of choices, but nothing too exciting or exotic, although it is value for money. The noodle soup is the best thing. The hostesses are very attentive and cooperative. Won't be back very soon.
The food was nice and fresh and tasted amazing. The atmosphere is great and nice for kids and the workers was helpful and put on a bright smile.
Gross this place is so dirty
Great seafood and people
Goood
The quality of the food wasnt the best & the person who was putting the food out couldn't tell me what kind of fish he was putting out
Lots of choices. Tasty Asian food. Not expensive. It's a buffet, so you eat all you want.
Lot Variety of food to price you pay .
Food was nasty had no selection and made me sick.
If I could rate this place zero stars I would. First off this place is very crowded. It seems like the owner tried to put as many tables and chairs here without thinking how comfortable it would be for customers. Second the food is WAY below average. Nothing was hot. To describe the food in one word: bland. I had lo mein noodles and they had no taste. I had chicken with broccoli. The broccoli tasted as if it had been sitting out for a LONG TIME! It wasn’t even hot. I also had the shrimp noodle soup. I wanted to see if there was something redeeming about this place. Nope I was wrong. The noodle soup was the most disappointing. There were not enough noodles in the soup. Come on now not enough noodles? I had half my soup left with no noodles. The soup tasted bland. The shrimp in the soup was excessive and usually that would have been fine but the shrimp had the antennas still attached. They didn’t take the time to even cut the antennas off so when eating the soup the antennas of the shrimp would be mixed with the noodles so you would end up eating noodles and shrimp antennas. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t like having shrimp antennas in my noodle soup and don’t like having to sit for 30 minutes to try and peel the shrimp. Now if you’ve read this far let me tell you it gets worse. How? My mom went to the bathroom and guess what was found? Someone had pooped on the bathroom floor. Yeah you read that right. When leaving the bathroom my mom saw an employee finish mopping the men’s room and taking the same dirty water and mop where food was being cooked and prepared. That was the last straw. My mom informed one of the employees of the poop on the bathroom floor and they said they would take care of it. For someone to poop on the bathroom floor and for the employees to be unaware until someone has to tell them is ridiculous. This place was unorganized and the owner was just oblivious or didn’t care. All I have to say is that this place is unsanitary, disgusting, and food is WAY below average. Worst food experience. What a waste of money.
This place is not what it once was. The food made my child vomit during dinner. He bit into some sort of meatball that a combination of mixed meat. When my wife and I went to examine the mystery meatball it had a rancid almost putrid odor. We packed up, tipped the server and left. We felt no need to confront the management. However we will not be returning. I found there selection of proteins to be highly questionable; ranging from cheap quality to simply being improperly stored and also poorly prepared. BE CAREFUL.
You can everything you want, I love peanuts, and feet beef, shrimps and their soup. I love this place!!
Rat infestation and insects everywhere. I witnessed the owner being violent and yelling racial slurs at customers.
Hate it food tasted rotten workers on there phone made my stomach hurt old tasteless food for ice cream the water was straight dirty DONT TRY THE CHICKEN
Good food
Crowded. But I loved the food. Not sure how safe the drink is.
The food wasn't good at all
Food okay
Cheap and tasty
I have viewed some of people who write positive/negative comments about this buffet, I think the food is ok
The pricing was average for any asian buffet but the website was by far the best thing about this place. I travel a lot and being a diabetic I am careful about places I eat because of a low carb diet. Buffets sometimes offer better solutions. The selection of items at this location was lower then most places, the food was average, service was slow and some of the staff were rude, and when asked what a few of the items were his response was "i have no idea". For the 30 or 40 asain food buffets the family and I have been to, only 2 have ranked the "hard pass/do not return" and this was one of them.
Their sushi bar is amazing!
Food was good, price is very fair
Food was good but lag of varity. Why no bao? Sushi was real bad
Eat all you can calamares , soup, steak, pizza , ice cream you name it they have it!
Food quality is going down.
Love the food.
This dive buffet offers low-quality foods in a dingy and unappetizing atmosphere.
Not enough selections. Food doesn't taste too good either
Very good food and the price is good my family they enjoy it we love the place
Prices vary. They charge what they want. For a family of 4 is close to $45 $48. They charged us $65??? I didnt realize until I seen the charge on my statement. Servers are rude as hell. Ok food.
Oh my gosh, it was yummy in my tummy you eat till you drop.
Always busy for some very below average food. Waiters and waitresses are on point at least with refreshing your drinks and picking up dishes when youre don't need eating
Good price and many food options to enjoy.
Food was better than expected they have a station where you can have soup prepared it was great. The salad bar was not the best. The variety was good but some food was over breaded. We had a good time. The service was good.
Nothing bad food but the service very bad .... I went in the busy lunch time as everything place in a weekend .... My experience in the place was very bad since when my family and I proceeded to Take the dishes for the food were all dirty and I asked to speak with a manager of the restaurant and never did ... what they did was go to tell dishwashers that they were dirty ... If you pay to attend that way It is not worth it because they have to propose a better service ... At least to have the dishes and utensils clean .... I think I will never visit this place again ...
Took my wife and child to this buffet and was treated horrible by the waitress. She had an attitude when asked for a high chair. She had an attitude the whole time we were there and then rushing you to leave after 30 mins by throwing down fortune cookies before your done eating. I ALWAYS tip good and My wife and I felt awkward by the way we were treated and ignored. I asked for melted butter to eat with the shrimp I had and after I was almost finished 10 mins later she brought the butter( She was too busy talking with the other waitress and then deciding on sweeping the floors before going back and requesting the butter to bring to our table. I was done with my eating my steamed shrimp and she brought the butter. 10 mins later and my wife still eating she comes over and throws fortune cookies on our table.m y wife and I looked at each other in a shock kind of and I apologized to her for taking her to this buffet. I got up with my wife and child and threw her a 1 dollar tip on the table as she did the fortune cookies and walked out with my family in disgust. You'll have to pay for parking so have a few extra dollars on you if you decide to go. I'm sure your experience will be very similar to mines.
I used to come here more than I go now, the food and service are good, but the lines are almost ALWAYS ENDLESS!!! If you want to come here you should come about 40 minutes before your lunch time. Even though lines are long the food is still worth it.
.....Not the best place to eat I tried to give it a chance but the food was blah the noodles was the only really good thing there
Get there when they open at 11am. For $11.30 I personally have no complaints. All you can eat and the only problem can be children running wild. That is the parents fault and management needs to take more control.
Came here with another friend for lunch. I think if you had the time for a long lunch, this wouldn't be a bad place. You definitely get what you pay for. In terms of buffets, I will try to evaluate to see if you can eat your moneys worth. In terms of this place, it would be hard to do so. You would have to eat TONS of clams and fried shrimp. The noodle bar is not bad. Takes about 5-10 min to cook whatever you want. Funny thing is that I think the broth is more for pho than wonton noodles. I assume they use the same broth for whatever noodles you want. The desserts are ok. The egg tarts are edible. Definitely dry and not straight from the oven fresh. Service was fine. As expected service from a place like this. I wouldn't be able to recommend this place so come on your own volition.
I have to complain about the cleanliness of this restaurant. Several cockroaches spotted in the restroom area (near the kitchen) including one that passed in front of me while I was washing my hands. Lost my appetite completely.
Huge line if you are going over weekends. The food is okay. The only thing I go there for is pho.
Great selection of food items. Most things did seem to include meat, probably not the best option for vegetarians. Staff was efficient and nice. Many tables and chairs to seat the busy Sunday crowd but hard to navigate. Would be difficult for anyone who needs walker or wheel chair assistance.
I used to like this place a lot but quality has been declining while prices rise. If you are looking for chinese food this is not the place. It is just mostly random foods chiken nuggets and friend chiken included. Service isnt great either. Last time i was there the ONLY words other than what you want to drink that my sever uttered were where is my tip?!
This place is ok not a breath taking. Not much to talk about it
Good food
Food was really good for thisntype of buffet. The seafood soop was on point. It was worth the money in my books.
If you are looking for clean food, this is not the place. Waitresses are nice. However i found it hard to find something with good taste to eat. But for cheap food, this is the best option on town
This place unfortunately has misleading information about accepting mastercards. After arriving to the restaurant I learned that they wouldn’t accept my discover card but has MasterCard advertised as an accepted form of payment.
I've been to this place a few times and every time I leave it's regrettable. Avoid this place if possible, the food is just not too good and loaded with salt. You'll do better at Chipotle or Fuddruckers for the same money. I hope they hear about this review.
It'd be better if your waitress could understand what you would like to drink, and if they cleared your table faster ....it is after all, a buffet.
Food amazing
Great place to eat with friends and family, lots of varieties of food and seafood, friendly staff so far. Very dedicated servers and overal team .
Its food is so good
Loved the seafood
Good buffet at economic price. However quality of some food (crawfish, fried/baked fish) was an issue.
Food was good although the lady at the front who checked me out claimed that their register wasn't working so she charged me $2-3 dollars for an $18-19 bill, for food I chose on 3 separate to-go plates. Tax is only 6% on their food and I doubt their service charge would apply there seeing as to how I didn't have a waiter. Should have been around $1.14 of tax and she ran me double. I was too much in a rush to bring it up but it really bothered me afterwards.
Both my 3-year old daughter and I are sick poisoned after the dinner at Blue Pearl. The whole day of dizziness, vomiting, headache and diarrhea.
This his food is the worstmr my son and my other 4 year _old and my husband are that and my 9 year old thurw up after we left once we found about the food ice cream and soup we left its destuing don't eat that any one that trying to kill us
Decent Chinese buffet.
Went today an had roaches in the salad
Good selection and the salmon and mussels were good. Price was fair
If the Motel 6 offered a complementary lunch buffet, it’d be the Blue Pearl.
Not to good limited selection of actual chinese dishes
Buy takeout, to make limiting the amount you eat a breeze, or pig out at the reasonable all-you-can-eat price (no doggy bags, of course). Nice variety, tasty food. Pleasantly surprised.
Food is really nasty and old food serve ! Really disappointed !! Never come back in this location
Soo much fooood
The food was cold, and there were no labels. My soup was supposed to have rice, there was none. And they don't peel or de-vain their shrimp. No Chocolate ice cream, only vanilla. Very small dessert selection. And the best dessert they had was ice cream and bread with sugar on it. Will never go again.
