Now this business has a score of 4.1 stars over 5 and that rating is based on 1807 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is very good, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we can conclude that the evaluation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set evaluations when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of American restaurant.
This place is really good, the prices are fair for the amount of food you get. The drinks are strong! Only thing is they bring the food SO fast after the appetizers and it drives me crazy. Next time I'm going to have to say something before it comes out.
Food was superb, service was amazing, venue and view spectacular! Highly recommend...
Ordered the flaming crab dip and naan chips. It was a nice presentation with the server pouring Brandi on top and setting it aflame. Tasted great and was a nice appetizer to have with a beer.
This place used to be great. Changed chefs or something. They havnt lived up to themselves in awhile.
Nice place, good food but definitely more than $$ more like $$$
The food here is delicious, and the faculty is very family friendly. Money, was our waiter and she was kind and helpful.
Friendly staff and location is great, but the food is just ok
Gray food. Great spot. Nice building. Well laid out for all sizes of group. Inattentive staff let it down.
Nice place, great ambiance and good food.
The staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was good but not exceptional - a little pricey - but the overall atmosphere and location makes it a nice splurge for the occasional Sunday brunch.
Money was fantastic! My friend and I had the best time. She checked on us frequently and was very friendly :)
Sat outside on the back deck. Little windy, but the food was good. Service we pretty good considering it was a nice day and everyone wanted to sit outside.
I didnt get a chance to go inside but the grounds were very well kept and it was a beautiful landmark.
The service was great, very friendly atmosphere. The food menu was very limited so I wasn't impressed and it wasn't all that to brag about
Beautiful and popular place for outdoor dining or even just drinks by the water. The menu was a bit limited for my tastes but the quality of the food and service are excellent.
I was surprised but the food was just ok. My caprese salad lacked flavor as did the fish tacos. It was also an extremely hot day outside and the restaurant could not keep the temperature down inside. It was so hot inside that we hurried up to eat our food so we could leave.
The place is awesome, but busy, unorganized and in have had better oysters in Kansas.
Love this place!!! Such a step up from what used to be here (an old unkept food court). The food and drinks are great, but the service and management are all star! The views of the water offer a really unique view that most restaurants can't get. I'd also recommend for a private event (wedding, corporate dinner, etc).
Delicious steak and lamb, awesome friendly staff.
Super yummy appetizers, friendly service, front patio has a nice view of the water
On June 21st we held a rehearsal dinner in the Crows Nest. It was fantastic! Between Elizabeth and Becky everything ran smoothly We are not from here so everything was done by email or phone. The appetizers, dinner and desert were delicious. I would highly recommend Blackwell Hitch for your next event. Ask for Becky.
Walked in. All 3 ppl at hostess stand had backs to us for a few minutes. We simply left and we t next door to Chart House.
Good food and good service.
The food was amazing but the service lacked. The experience was tainted because they must have been understaffed. It took 12 minutes for anyone to come up to our table and we weren't the only ones. A couple next to us sat down and then ended up leaving after 15 minutes because no one ever went to their table. We saw them go tell the cluster of hostesses that they were leaving because no one came over to them and all the girls looked at each other and chuckled after they left.
The food was ok but awful when considering the price. I have no problem paying top dollar for delicious food but that is not the case here. You pay top dollar for ok food:( The best thing we ate was the crab dip but it was lacking in crab.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere.
The food was good but the service was subpar. The waitress never cancer back to see how things were going, didn't offer us dessert, forgot our drinks and paid no attention to us although we were spending easily over $200. The waiter at the adjacent table was super attentive to his tables and at one point offered to assist us. Our waitress spend most of her times spending at the bar.
One of the BEST brunches I've been to! Loved the options on the buffet and my made to order omelet was superb! I only wish I would have paced myself because I didn't get a chance to try everything but I'll definitely be back! Wish I could have enjoyed the live music but it was too nice outside to sit inside. The front patio made for great people watching...

- food was amazing - staff were friendly - service was quick - place was clean - nice view while eating outside - drinks were made perfectly - I'd highly recommend this place
Nice location -- looks out over the Potomac River from Old Town Alexandria. Nice ambiance, atmosphere... wine list is good and the personnel seems knowledgeable. And upbeat. Live amplified music suited me and the acoustics are such that we could have a normal conversation even when the band played. All good!
Alexandria is a fun little place to begin with and this restaurant is a fun place for lunch with great décor, a lovely view of the Potomac as well as the adjacent park-like walkway. Servers are friendly and efficient and our lunch was super--- a fried soft shell crab sandwich for me, crab cakes for my husband, and corn chowder along with a huge burger for my brother-in-law. All of this preceded, of course, by wonderful local oysters, We left happy and very full.
It was ok, just needs faster service
Was there for Sunday brunch. Food was great.
Went here on a Sunday night. Made reservations on open table. Everything was perfect. Money(her nickname) was our server and she was amazing. Gave us the run down on the menu and some suggestions and they were all delicious. Best crab cakes I have ever had. Salmon melts in your mouth. We also started with an order of mussels which we enjoyed. Great cocktails and beer list as well. Not to mention the beautiful atmosphere. A little on the pricey side so be prepared, but totally worth it. Great experience. Highly recommend. Will be back.
The atmosphere was wonderful. You can catch a water taxie from the harbor over, would recommend getting a day pass. Went for brunch on Sunday, recommend making a reservation, the food was awesome! We had the buffet with a plentiful menu. A little pricey but worth it!
This place gets 5 Stars just for the ambiance alone. I love eating here. Especially at their old Town Alexandria location. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is always delicious and it's just a great place to feel relaxed but trendy. It's got a rustic nautical decor mixed with contemporary designs. The flaming crab dip is so yum!
Our server, Money, was excellent! She was vibrant and refreshing, and offered great service. The food was outrageous!!!
Air conditioner was out on a hot day. Salmon was overcooked. Highlight was the grilled strawberry basil flatbread with fresh mozzarella and goat cheese.
Generally an ok place but a recent visit was very disappointing. A/C was not working well on a hot day making time spent there just uncomfortable. To compensate they brought in fans which were loud and even generated an annoying whistling noise. This is apparently not a short term problem. On the other hand both the food and service were up to par. A new tall ship is now long-term docked at the city dock - make sure you take a look.
Beautiful restaurant. Great views. Amazing location on waterfront. Food was delicious. Great service.
We had our wedding reception at BWH a few weeks ago and while the food was great (as expected), the staff really stood out. We had 40+ guests and multiple people mentioned how the service went above and beyond with personal requests. Thank you for being so accommodating, Steph, Becky, Maria, and Dani. You were all-stars.
Delicious but very expensive. Salmon and kale salad was delicious. Great service!
Had the cajun shrimp n chicken! Amazing Shrimp n Grits was so so too much sauce....over powered the grits. Corn was amazing! Great location
I really feel like the staff should know the type of beer being sold and not just the name of the brewery. The food was decent and moderately priced.

It was warm inside the restaurant, but the bathroom was cool. OAN: Sunday brunch was delicious. The service was exemplar. I will go back again.

Great food, great views of the Potomac. Very good service, lots of attention from the staff, indoors and outdoor seating. Fair pricing for such a hot spot.
New too this restaurant brunch was awesome
Went to dinner with family here and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. It wasn’t hard to get a table for a large group amazingly and service was good. Overall I enjoyed the atmosphere and food and would probably go back again.

Enjoy happy hours on the back deck with a good friend. Loved it!
Recommended, we were treated very special by "Money", our anniversary dinner was delicious, and she made it better be being "her"... Great place, awesome food.
Great patio, great decor, so-so happy hour. Waitress very good. Hostess crew disinterested. $6 small plates happy hour. 3 small buffalo wings not a good deal but the bruschetta well worth it. The $1 oysters are small Chincoteagues.
Enjoyed Brunch with a few new friends! One of them recommended this place, and we were NOT disappointed! Several items to choose from, including an omelette station, oysters bar, meat carving station, Belgian waffle and French toast station to name a few. The fried chicken was absolutely delicious and fell off the bone, seasoned perfectly! Collard greens cooked in vinegar and red pepper flakes, biscuits and some of the best cheesegrits I've ever had besides my own :) Mimosas and live Jazz, the perfect end to our early morning walk by the water! Excellent waitstaff I would highly recommend this place! Definitely worth the money spent!
We've dined at Blackwall Hitch in the past and have had good experiences, but Saturday night was the worst service I have ever had from a restaurant. The front desk seated us (a party of 8 - reservations made 2 months in advance) on time, but 30 minutes later we still hadn't been visited by a waiter. It was 37 minutes after we sat down (and with us asking) that we finally had our waitress come to the table. She promised bread and water and a flawless experience for the remainder of the night. She brought water (but not enough for the whole table, we had to ask for more - they were in bottles - she didn't pour for the table) and then took our drink orders and app and dinner orders. Some of the table ordered a bottle of wine and the rest ordered cocktails. The wine came promptly, we had to find the restaurant manager about a half hour later to have the cocktails brought to the table. The manager finally brought out bread and complimentary calamari and the cocktails soon arrived. About two hours after we were seated, our dinner entrees were brought out. The server failed to bring steak knives and the butter knives did not cut the steak. We again sought out the restaurant manager who brought the knives to the table. The table was cleared for dessert and when dessert was brought out, the waitress did not bring forks. Again we had to speak to the manager. At this point the restaurant manager asked if he could bring complimentary aperitifs, we shared that we would prefer coffee. That never came. When the forks came, the waitress just plopped the plate that contained all of them on the table and didn't hand them out. The bill came with an included 18% gratuity. This is one of the times I would have tipped 10% or even less. Tipping is for service and that was not provided. The server was the worst I have ever encountered and the manager ineffective at managing to fully address the situation. It was a profound disappointment.
Wonderful staff and superb management!
I can’t express how great my experience was at Blackwall Hitch. They were incredibly accommodating to the changes in our reservation and all around happy to have us as customers. Our waitress Christine was nothing short of outstanding. Accommodating and friendly. Well come back, absolutely but we will always request Christine as our server. I recommend the scallops!
Not good at all. Made reservations, got there asked for an outside table and was told, that's not included. Outside is separate. They were only serving brunch could not order from the menu. There website didn't tell you, no reservations for outside. Website doesn't say brunch only.
Good food... Only one critique, we sat in the bar and the service was very slow. They were crowded so that's why they still receive the four stars.
If you like to be in a place where it's loud and you can't here your self talk, that's the place for you. I went on a Saturday night the fish tacos I had for dinner were tasteless and cold. The lemonade had way to much sugar. Don't make reservations. It's the same as walking in waiting for a seat. This was my first time there so I don't know if it's always like this on a Saturday night. Good luck!
The food is delicious - try the crab dip - and the location is absolute perfection. However, everyone at the table mentioned that the service isn't great (the night we were all together and on nights we came separately). Would give 5 stars if service was faster, more attentive, and way less apathetic.
Recommended by a local bartender while on vacation in the area. Hoping it’s a fluke, but it was hands down some of the worst service we’ve experienced. We got our drinks halfway through our meal and the server seemed offended when we asked for the check (which took under 30 seconds, unlike the drinks). Not worth a second trip. Lena’s pizza was phenomenal and I wish we had just gone there instead.
Was here for a friends bridal shower. The set up was a bit odd in the middle of the dining area but still a nice view & lighting. They didn't seem entirely prepared for us as I got there early to help with the set up. However they were accommodating for the requests made. Where it got a bit lack luster was the food and service during the meal. We had a set menu to choose from of a salad plus 3 entrees. 1 of the 3 entrees we couldn't pick because the salamander wasn't working so instead of offering an alternative they just limited even further. I chose the salmon sandwich which seemed simple enough. I had to send it back because it was cold & made entirely incorrect. They put plain yellow mustard on the sandwich when it wasn't even listed on the menu! It was supposed to be multi grain bread (which literally was something you could buy from a store & was not hearty enough to support the salmon), lettuce and a garlic mayo. All of the salmon sandwiches were wrong. When they brought my new one it was hot and correct. When you have to pay $32 and all you get is water, veggie spring rolls & a gross cheese dip thing plus a spring mix salad (literally only a lettuce spring mix with dressing) and then the wrong salad that you have to talk to 2 different waiters to get help with to fix thats very underwhelming to say the least. The only saving grace was the nice staff though the first waiter I politely brought up my sandwich issue with was arguing with me and then said what do you want me to do?? Thankfully for him a second waiter walked and helped me very nicely. Would I give them a second chance, yes. Its a very pretty location with convenient parking.
Great place and it was great food.
Good atmosphere, nice view , food is not what we expected , price are ok.
Wonderful brunch. Omelet with crab, shrimp and everything else. Oysters, large peel and eat shrimp. And the list goes on. Live entertainment. It can get a little loud. But easy to carry on a somewhat quiet conversation with my wife. She likes the mimosas and I stick to coffee. Blackwall Hitch is waterfront, we attempted to walk off all the food, but that wasn't going to happen (too much good food). Our server was Christine (Christina?). She was great. She was always nearby and on top of things. She even listened to my jokes. We had a very good time. Highly recommend a trip to Alexandria and Blackwall Hitch.
I went on a Friday evening and I wish I could remember the name of the band, they were pretty good, had me dancing in my seat. Only had appetizers, the fried calamari and the crab dip, I really enjoyed both. Our waiter was less than desirable, it's like he forgot we were there fortunately his team members were a little more attentive.
This place is Amazing, and soooo good. My Family and I went to Sunday Brunch Buffet. All you can eat They have a huge variety- definitely something for everyone!! They have a Bar which you can sit at. Delicious Mimosas They have several different stations with paired foods that complement each other. Waffle Station with all the fixings, Fresh seasonal Fruits, Breads of all kinds, Fried Chicken crispy on the outside- juicy and tender on the inside, Omelet cooked to order, grits, sausage gravy, diced potatoes, scrambled eggs, oysters on the shell, smoked salmon, shrimp Fresh field salads, etc. The Place was packed and Reservations are required. The price is reasonable for all you get $35.00 . I will definitely return.
Wow. This place is amazing!!! The atmosphere and decor is absolutely beautiful and the views are even better. The service is wonderful and the employees are extremely friendly. I would highly recommend!
Front and back outside bar/ dining in addition to full indoor dining and bar. Great oysters on half shell and menu. Nice draft beer list but outdoor has bottles unless seated with server.
Wife and I went there while I was in area for business. Food was SPECTACULAR. Our waiter "Panda" let me try some local brews to find the one I wanted to drink for the evening. Beautiful decor and location. Highly recommend
Excellent food! Really sweet waitress named Nulsa
I went to their Happy Hour on two separate nights. They have great happy hour selections. I think I tried all of them. I had the fried green tomatoes, calamari, sliders, flat bread pizza, and bruschetta. The only things I didn't try were the tuna crudo and the mussels. Very tasty for all dishes. They also had $1 dollar oysters, and $5 beer specials. Overall, good quality, tasty food at reasonable prices (for Happy Hour).
Large restaurant, OK ambiance, good service, disappointing food. My wife and I visited on Presidents Day and the place was pretty empty. Service was prompt and friendly. Had a Calamari appetizer which was excellent but my Makers on the rocks was watery; they put crushed ice instead of cubes which watered it down. I had the special, Halibut with sauteed scallops and my wife had chicken with Brie sandwich. The Halibut was overdone but the scallops were OK. My mashed potatoes with saffron was pretty awful and I could not eat it. It tasted like chlorine. The chicken was also overdone but the Brie was OK. We did not have dessert and ordered Cappuccinos; they were weak and barely tepid. All in all, very overpriced for the quality of the cuisine.
Yummy food! Fun server:) lovely veiw
Had lunch today with 2 colleagues at Blackwall Hitch. Service was excellent, food was good, prices are reasonable and the place is nicely appointed. I recommend it.
Good food. Fun atmosphere. The Friday night band was great. Some things are a bit pricey.
Great day/place!. They were initially slow with getting our orders. But the GM (Jay) was awesome and made sure we were taken care of for the remainder of our time there!! Thanks Jay. Cauliflower hash and seafood flatbread AMAZING!!!
The location is fabulous. Staff was great. The food only ok. It wasn't bad but it all seemed to lack flavor. I'll come back to give them another try and try another dish.
This is a very good place! I enjoyed my time with friends there. The food was really good! The people there are welcoming and nice! It was a little crowded though!
This place was amazing! The breakfast buffet was so good and the jazz band was on point. Love the ambiance and those pretty blue jelly jar glasses.
As always food, service, music, an atmosphere rates five stars!
Great food, location, atmosphere and service.
great food and great service!
Was served with an attitude and rude bartender and he served us with a glass that was broken and chipped on two sides. We paid and left.
Great Experience... outdoor dining on a beautiful day. The food was great and our server was amazing ,Gorgeous young lady from Morocco. I would definitely come back again.
Great bar and restaurant. Nice hang out...
Definitely a spot worth visiting, the food is excellent and fresh, the cost is fair and it is constantly well organized there. Kudos.
Tremendous service and knowledge from my waitress Moniee at Blackwall Hitch, very professional and all recommendations was on point.
Food was alright. Service needs a lot of work. The servers were really nice but between 5 and 10, dinner service and bar service, we were apologized to multiple times by 3 or 4 different people for the forgetfulness and slow service.
This is more like 2.5 stars and a "Never again for us". We visited twice and in both times we got huge disappointment on the service and prices. Nice place and great view to the Potomac. Food is just ok. Make sure you double check your tab before you paid or you will find extra charges that don't make sense and a high tip percentage for a poor service.
CRAB DIP HEAVEN BABYYYY!!!!! Also the fried green tomatoes were amazing as well, i had mine with crab meat on top! I absolutely love this place! Our server name was Money. She was a joy to be around. Money had so much knowledge of the menu items. She made me feel welcomed... Coming back soon!
The menu was the kind that makes it hard to choose. Food was fabulous, & the wait staff incredible. If I lived in the area, I'd dine there regularly because of the staff !! Our party of 6 enjoyed a great evening together at this terrific restaurant.
Went for a work related catered event on the upper level - the food was so delicious I went back for seconds. Flat bread, shrimp, spinach puffs, wings, and fresh fruit, all delicious. They especially cater to food sensitivities like gluten and dairy. The bar offered wine and beer, and the staff was very kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend for any work related events during the holiday season!
It is a bit pricey but that goes with the area. Beautiful view and amazing food. Waitress was very nice and attentive.
Let me start by saying, the two bites of the grilled peach and chicken flatbread were so good that this place deserves a quarter star for that combination, the four star rating I was going to give this place went down in flames after I suffered an severe allergic reaction from the flatbread. I became mute within a matter of seconds after ingestion. Chefs or whoever didn't give a flying poo, and decided to put tree nut oil on the flatbread. Who the fuvk puts tree nut oil on pizza? No one felt it was important enough to put it on the menu?! I'm still mad about it today. However, thank you to the waitress for getting me that Benedrayl, half a star for her. Add insult to injury they made me pay for the drinks, not the food tho....I didn't even get to drink the glass of Pinot Noir!
I loved it it was very good so many choices that I could have tried and was flat out astonishing!!
Good food, good service so I had a good time!
Went for lunch on a weekday and place was at maybe 10% capacity. Server was very nice and professional. Food a little longer than expected. My medium burger was well done but they refunded that and were very polite and understanding. I'll give it another shot for brunch!
I was looking for a place to host my 30th bday dinner. Witch was more stress then I anticipated. And all though I will be unable to host my dinner there Elizabeth the privet event coordinator was amazing and very helpful. I asked 1000 questions and even when I discovered I wouldn’t be able to have mi dinner there she still offered help. Thank you Elizabeth. Great service!
5 star rating for Money. She was a great waitress and was so polite!
Service was great, better than food. Portions were enormous enough to be slightly off-putting. Blasting loud old rock music and Bon Jovi ruined what would have been a great ambiance.
Fantastic is an understatement. Money (Server) is awesome!!!
Food was good, I wish the service was better. Most of the staff have this chip on their shoulder starting with the hostess who gave up our table that we were waiting for and saying she 'forgot' to call us. Our waitress also had an issue with the way I ordered my food and used that as an excuse for why it came out wrong. Not worth the attitude.
Went for Sunday brunch on mother's day. Food options were Great! Lots of options, kind of slow on the refill of the main draws like shrimp and oysters. You can sit inside or outside on the dock area. Place is clean and had live music.
Great food and great drinks. The burger with bacon and cheese was to die for. Mahi Mahi tacos were finger licking good. The outdoor deck was great on the sunny day we were there. Only reason I do not give it five stars is due to the service. Our waiter never showed. We had to flag a waiter who was not assigned our table and he was kind enough to take care of us.
Very nice....love bring near the water. Very romantic
TERRIBLE SERVICE.. over priced and less than mediocre food quality. $40 steak sent back barely cooked and they covered bloody plate with sauce. Meat tough. 4 shrimp $30. Dinner was so bad. Service was worst and top it off by clueless hostesses and waitress that told us there was music at 7 and nothing. All around tourist trap.. many high quality alternatives around the corner. Don't waste your time and money . No good views to boot
This is a beautiful restaurant, quite a giant. Food is decent but overpriced. I had their chowder and a wrap, nothing special. Service definitely needs to be more attentive. Views are beautiful as this place sits right on the water.
First time and great experience everything was delicious server excellent definitely we will back
Amazing staff and even more amazing food
Unfortunately I was not too impressed with the taste of the food, any of it. But the service was good, and the vibe of the restaurant was excellent. Wonderful outdoor seating. The bartender made a great Dark and Stormy.
I had crab stuffed rockfish and it was delicious. My friend had a short rib he loved it too. Very nice patio for an outside sitting. Expecting to come back again and again, great place to hang out for those who live in the area.
Made reservation and had to wait 20min only to be told after waiting we could have seat outside. The food is average. They also don't have a ramp for elderly/disabled. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is for the Manager Jeremy who apologized for the inconvenience and tried to make our experience better.
Service is fairly disjointed and patio very poorly managed. Went for Happy Hour and servers weren't quite clear on what was and wasn't on happy hour. Still, it's a nice setting.
The food and atmosphere go hand in hand! The servers are nice and the food is amazing!
This place has a great waitstaff, location and vibe. However, I found their food to be way under par for the price. Unseasoned size of mashed potatoes will run you about $7 (no garlic, salt, pepper or rosemary to be tasted) A coke a cola cost me $3.25 .... (that is just unreal), their caprese flat bread pizza was basically a cheese pizza with dried Basil flakes on top (no balsamic reduction, no vine ripe tomatoes, very little mozerella) and it’s small for $15..... The Maryland crab soup was good / tasty - overall meh for the price. I’ve had cheaper, better tasting food. Great place for drinks with a vibe, but I could pass on the over priced food.
Absolutely love the views at this place. I’ve been about 10 times, and have never had a bad experience. The burgers, salads, and seafood I’ve had here had always been good. The one concern that I had was last time I was in they were down to about 4 beers on tap with a ton of empty taps. It was just a bit weird.
Service was great and the crab cakes Outstanding. It was as good as Joe's Steak and Stone Crab in DC. Ambiance was really fun and inviting. We will be back for Happy Hour and Appetizers on the Patio. Loved this place!!!! Helen Nelson
Went here for our anniversary meal. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. Prices are great, food was cooked to perfection, waiters were friendly and had great service. Definitely recommend for a good night out.
The food here is good, but there is inconsistency between menu items. Some things are great, but some are just okay. They have 2 awesome patios for outdoor seating and many bars, but beware that even though you might be seated 2 feet away from a bar and provided with a happy hour menu, happy hour is only available at the bar specifically. So it feels a bit of a bait and switch. Also I don't think I have received excellent service from anyone but bartenders here. The service staff has never been bad, but also never great either.
Great service, kind of pricey. Shrimp and grits, chicken flatbread, and 1 drink = $50... good place for drinks, would probably pass on the food.
Great view the service was excellent we had a minor mishap but the staff handled things great . There was a really cool band that night and drinks were amazing! Will definitely go back
Great location, and nice ambience. We stopped by for cocktails on the patio last Saturday afternoon & had a nice time, but the service was a bit slow. We returned to the restaurant later that evening for our dinner reservation, and had a table inside. It's a nice looking place, and the food was good, but nothing special. Service was slow both times.
Absolutely love the views at this place. I’ve been about 10 times, and have never had a bad experience. The burgers, salads, and seafood I’ve had here had always been good. Went there for lunch with some friends and we were seated outside. Fantastic view of the Potomac. Food and service were good. Took off one star because they do not validate parking, so be prepared to pay $7-$15 (on a weekend) on top of your meal.
Great place to hang and enjoy your time. Excellent food and staff was awesome
Food was great, service was solid, location is excellent.
Good food, reasonable prices, great waterfront view.
Monschel (guessing on the spelling) aka Money was a delight. Thank you for the service and the tasty food.
I was seated quickly, but waited 30 minutes for a waiter, who never materialized. Having given them plenty of time to notice me, I left without being served even a glass of water. It's a shame, because the food here is usually pretty good.
Great service. I was out side on the patio and the Server Yvonne was a totally about her duties and very friendly. I will be there again
It took over 30 minutes for a server to come to us once we were seated. Once the server came and took our order the service was good.
Not a big food menu but the atmosphere is great.. The burger is nice and juicy btw
Fun, friendly, clean restroom, great service.
We had a wonderful meal here. While yelp indicates they are open until 11, it was really 10. So arriving at 9:30 was a tight squeeze for sure but the wait staff and greeter didn't bat an eye lash at us coming in then. The selection is quite expansive for a fresh seafood please which pleased us all. Everyone could find something they liked. Yum!
Service, food, management, vibe...all were low enough to not ever consider coming back. Felt like a TGIF
Came here for Brunch on Sunday. This place is overpriced and the food was not great at all. Potatoes tasted stale, the plates had water stains on them and not washed properly. Plus they charged additional for coffee (If it was a buffet, it should really be included in the price ). I wouldn't recommend the brunch buffet, especially if you are vegetarian.
Husband and I had a lovely date night here. Our server was polite although he and the other servers that we saw seemed a little overwhelmed; their attention and focus was set mostly on the large groups, which I can understand. There was a descent wait on getting my cocktails but I really enjoyed them. As for the food, I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos, and as another reviewer mentioned, there was surprisingly not a lot of flavor which surprised me because they were beautiful and had a lot of stuff on them. My first choice was a flatbread but I was told that there was a problem with the flatbread oven that night. My husband on the other hand had a delicious burger done perfectly and all in all we had a great night.
One of the prettiest restaurants i've seen. Waitress and other staff great. Not inexpensive.
Great food, great service
Terrible gazpacho... it was at the bigininv of fermentation with a frizzz very undesirabe. The place is unlike for location an service... the kitchen for a big group a C minus
I didn't eat here because I didn't have enough time. I was scheduled for a boat ride. But this place looks like a very nice place to enjoy a meal with your friends and family. Prices was a little high but the atmosphere look worth it. May come back in the future to try it out
The service was horrible . They did not give us utensils until we asked. We ordered three entrees the server only put in two. He assumed we were going to share the crab cakes . In hindsight we wish we would have. Looks can be deceiving. The bottom of those crab cakes are burnt to a crisp. They tasted as if they were premade and stored for easy service. They are not worth 36.00 a plate. The shrimp cocktail is atrocious and not worth 22.00. Shrimp was tough and old. We were an afterthought as guests and the food is awful. They also charged us for three crab cake dinners and we only ordered two. We had to have our check redone twice. We didn't ask for a manager and we just went on our way I would never spend another dollar here. This restaurant needs staff training and a better chef. Dine here at your own risk.
Great food & super waiter. Wish I could remember his name.
Very nice restaurant. We had a great time with friends. The Mahi Mahi tacos were very good.
1st time coming here and I loved it! Our waitress Monchell who helped our group knew her menu and we ordered her recommendations. She was so sweet to all of us. The food and dessert was delicious.
I’ve been here several times. On one occasion, the service was so bad we walked out. Another time, a friend said to me, “Let’s remember it’s expensive and not that great.” It is true the food is overpriced and only just average. There’s so many other cool restaurants in Alexandria that offer way better. I’m giving it two stars because the atmosphere can be fun. Recommend going to the back patio and ordering drinks in the summer. Skip the food and go elsewhere.
Good food and drinks, but service was ok. Half of the patio was full and the restaurant was empty when we stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The hostess said there was a 45 minute wait for the half empty patio but that we could sit at the bar. One person was working the entire bar area with a few others standing around but not helping with drinks or orders. Would go back, but disappointed by the service.
Great food, and awesome bartenders! They were flying last night - didn't stop moving the whole time I was there, but super friendly and everything came quickly.
I absolutely love the Black wall hitch, the atmosphere is amazing as well as the food and location. I suggest that when you do decide on going you should reserve a table, It becomes very busy .
Horrible!!! Just horrible!! When it's 92 degrees outside and 97 degrees inside, while your are trying to eat your food it's, makes for an unbearable experience!
Service was great and the crab cakes Outstanding. It was as good as Joe's Steak and Stone Crab in DC. Ambiance was really fun and inviting. We will be back for Happy Hour and Appetizers on the Patio. Loved this place!!!! Helen Nelson
Great place to eat! I've been here twice for brunch but last night was the first time eating here for dinner. Brunch has some of the best fried chicken I've ever had at a buffet, plus waffles! They also have oysters and a carving station and a variety of desserts. A little expensive but if you like oysters, I think it would be worth it For dinner, the food was also good. The mussels and calamari are pretty standard. I got the rock fish with crab; the liked the cook of the rock fish but couldn't really tell where the crab was. As a note, if you order a whiskey on the rocks, the drink costs about 4 dollars more because (as I was told) they add a little more to account for the rocks. Overall, a good dinner experience and a recommend for the brunch. Would certainly go back to try other items since I was only limited to seafood for Ash Wed.
Stopped in last night for dinner and a drink k at the bar. Beer was good. Service was good and attentive. We ordered the old bay chicken wings...they needed to blue cheese to control the salt. We shared scallops and shrimp risotto...portion was that of an appetizer and it came out cold. Sea food seemed to have been cooked earlier in tree he afternoon. They brought out a new plate and it was warm but same lack luster food. Manager said he would take our drive as off. This did not happen. Its unfortunate because the atmosphere and service were very good. Chef just needs better quality control.
we had a group, 15. They accommodated us, ordered individually, drinks ala carte. Food and service wonderful. Price right, waterside setting. GO!
Good Food, Great bartenders. Love Heather at the back patio bar.
I don't have pics but my gosh the flaming crab dip was amazing. I've only been twice with a few other co-workers from MGM. We will be making this restaurant a new spot for a while. The pic is of the shrimp and grits.
Money was an excellent server with the best hospitality . Will be back again and definitely will ask for Money !!! $$$$$
Went here for our anniversary meal. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. Prices are great, food was cooked to perfection, waiters were friendly and had great service. Definitely recommend for a good night out.
Great Ambience. Great service. I’ll be back again
The food and atmosphere was amazing. It was very expensive though. Almost $350 for a group of 4.
The brunch was good and the server was fine, but for $560 (table of 10) for my birthday, the only memory we will have is how hot it was inside. No circulating air, no fans. All foods that were supposed to be cold were warm (shrimp, oysters, fruit). It was literally too hot to get up for seconds and we left as soon as we could without socializing with drinks and to top it off, told by the server that they couldn’t bring a cake out during brunch which should have been communicated to us when we made our reservation. As hot it is was outside, the restaurant should have been transparent about the AC issues by phone or even when we first arrived. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience and in the event we return, it certainly won’t be in the summertime.
Great place right on the water. I recommend the back bar. There's plenty if seating with couches around the fireplace.
If you love crab cakes, prawns (or shrimp) and salmon. This is definitely the place to go. Very nice place and classy. The wait staff knew their stuff and were friendly too. Great atmosphere for a gathering or something intimate. Nice views and great scene. The price was up there but totally worth it.
Great food, service and atmosphere!
