Usually this is our go to spot because of fenomenal atmosphere and the service is usually on point. That said, we went there for Burger Tuesday and I ordered a burger with tots on the side. Burger was okay but the tots were under cooked and falling apart, resulting in a scrambled mix. Embarrassing that it even were taken out to our table. When I asked for new ones she brought out a new order that wasn't even half of the normal amount you receive with the burgers. Also very slow waiter, I told her to begin with that we would need plenty of water, yet we always had to call on her for attention. Same with the check, I had to walk over to ask for out check. It feels like this place is either hit or miss...

We tried it again (4th time) and we're unlucky again. It's the food; the bar is fine! Microwaved burgers? Really!!! Go to Five Guys for a fresh burger for half the price. Wish this place would care, it's a perfect spot and great inside!

Great place for Tuesdays...$5 burgers simply cannot be beat. And the 1/2 price apps for Happy Hour (till 7pm) are well worth the visit.

Place was busy for a late evening! Lots of seating available, though. Nice atmosphere, with many people seemingly enjoying themselves and eating. Our waiter was very very nice and attentive. Food came on time and I have to say I ordered the wedge salad and it was huge, much larger than what I expected to receive. I also got it with the Fried Chicken portions for the $4 extra and it was well worth it as the chicken was hot crispy and tasted fantastic. I had a profound hankering 4 their wedge salad and though I had never been to this location before, they hit a home run this time. Lots of parking available to at this Gainesville location. I will definitely be back.

Went to celebrate a friend's artwork. The venue was awesome. Amazing that Bar Louie was gracious enough to allow it. The drinks were great, bartender was also great. His artwork was so authentic and awesome. Me and my wife had an amazing time. Will definitely return.

WORST PLACE TO ORDER FOOD!!! Also, stop using the brown bags!!!! It constantly opens my container and it create a big mess inside the bag. It took 25 minutes to get my food and it took 10 additional minutes because my food was sent back due to the food no longer being in the container but instead I’m the brown bag. The food that was supposed to be replaced did not feel like it was replaced and instead felt like it was just the food that was inside the bag put on a new container. I received the food cold and tasted salty.

Setting and ambiance are nice, but would have been better to have had a waiter who could get it together. Brought us the wrong food order, then charged for the more expensive platter. Then charged us for our drinks and someone elses... I guess he thought we were too drunk to notice.

This place is GREAT now!!! I came here not long after it had first opened and was not happy. I tried it again a couple of times after that and swore I wouldn't go back. Then I got trapped into going for a girls night out about a year ago and had a blast!!! They have all new Managers and almost all new staff except a few (shout out to Larry our bartender). Every time I come here its great!!! Just wish they had a DJ or different music other than their house music every now and then, but the drinks and food are make up for it. I have talked with the new managers a few times. They will bend over backward to make sure you are having a good time and happy. Not to mention the guy with the red beard is hilarious. He is the kitchen man but used to be the bar man that's where we met him so he still comes out to talk to us all the time and makes sure we are good. I love this place now!!! Good job Louie!!!

We love this place. It feels almost like home. The potstickers and chicken quesadillas are always made to our liking. We love seeing Lee Ann. She always knows what drink I like (I believe it's the Honeydew martini) and makes it absolutely perfect. It's always so delicious and no one else makes it like her. The staff here is great and so friendly.

Been here a handful of times in person with no issues, However... I just ordered 4 items off of Door Dash and just about everything arrived completely wrong and everything was cold.... I ordered Szechuan Wings with blue cheese dressing that arrived as buffalo wings and no dressing (at all). Pot Stickers that were cold. Flat bread that was cold. A Philly burger that was supposed to be a Portobello Burger (but they no longer make but is still advertised and available on the app) but the Philly came with no onions as described in the menu and the loaded tater tots substitute for fries came as plain tots even though I paid for the loaded option. Quality control is not something they seemed to care about tonight maybe.....

I don't ever eat here, so my review is based on the nightlife. Good adult atmosphere, bar is hit or miss. If you're a regular the bartender will cater to you and if you're not, you'll be waiting a while to be served. DJ plays some decent music. It's an okay place to hang out if you have nothing else to do.

The service initially started off slow at best. It did improve through the course of the meal but the bar service never did. We were there on a Sunday evening with not many guest in the restaurant. However the food was where the real issue was. It was basically flavorless and delivered cold. I've eaten at the location next to Verizon Center with much better food and service. This location just doesn't deliver nearly the same as DC.

Was meeting a friend here for dinner on a weekend night. It wasn't pleasant. The music was so horribly loud, we had to yell to hear ourselves, and the food was typical bar food. Nothing to write home about. I doubt I'll ever be returning.

My coworkers and I were in the area on a Tuesday when someone recommended this place. We all really enjoyed its Atmosphere and Food. On Tuesdays, its $5 burger night, which comes with fries or tots. The Bourbon Burger and Fried Louie were awesome. The fries and tots were really good as well. Happy Hour for drinks is 4 to 7 on weeknights. All the staff were friendly helpful. Larry and Neat were the ones who served us. Also it is family friendly. There were a lot of family's eating when we walked in, so it's not just a bar. Gotta give it a try.

Food was good but for it being my first time at Bar Louie I had no help or recommendations at all. My server wasn't very attentive and at one point he was switched out. Unsure what was going on. Definitely will go back for the food quality though!

Went there on 3/16 and told bartender we were going to pay cash. He then asked for a credit card anyway. My fiancee gave him his. I paid cash at the end and left it on the bar on top of my receipt (closer to them). They STILL charged my fiancees credit card. This is the second time something like this happens. I did this in order to avoid someone else's check charged on the cc (which is what happened a previous time I was there). We called and they say they need to "research". What kind of answer is that? You guys are either scamming people or you need to fire some people. Stayed away last time for this reason, this time not going back. FYI the food sucks.

They allow smoking on the patio which is just about the same as smoking inside since its such a large patio with no doors or walls separating the two. If you have children don't come here, i could barely breathe in the lobby. They are the only restaurant that does this in the marketplace. Gave two stars because i have eaten at Bar Louie in other places and it was decent food.

WMAL was running ads for Bar Louie and I decided to pop in for lunch. Service was great and the food was good. Their steak sandwich was worth the few extra dollars. I also popped for the Italian relish, which was a wise choice. Their peach iced tea, was very good as well. I thought the sandwich, came with a side, but plan on plunking down an extra $2. I went for the rice & beans. Good stuff, but Popeye's Chicken does it better! Service was very good, but the restaurant, only had a few patrons, at the time. The only drawbacks are no lunch menu or specials and the bar does not have a blender. Those great frozen drinks, just aren't happening.

I cannot say enough about this Bar Louie restaurant! It has quickly become our favorite place for drinks, a meal or to just get out for awhile! The drinks are always ice cold and perfectly prepared, the food is excellent and the wait staff is fantastic! Especially Erica... she is awesome! The atmosphere is always cheerful, clean and inviting. Never too loud but festive! So many LED's you are sure to be able to see your favorite game on, and... it is in a great location right across from the Royal Cinema so it is perfect if you are waiting for your show to start. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

Went late on a Saturday night, around midnight. Security at the door checking IDs. Walked in and felt like I was in a night club rather than a bar/restaurant. Overly loud DJ, drunk patrons bumping into us at our table while we tried to eat dinner. The food was great and the drinks were good, but not what I expected from a bar/restaurant. It's the only place open late in the area, so it's got a check on the pro side for that.

Amazing! Great for whatever you're in the mood for. Service is fast and friendly. Atmosphere is definitely something to write home about. Nice, sizable bar with knowledgeable bartenders and a great selection of beer on tap, bottle, and plenty of spirits. Seating is plentiful whether both or table, although no outside seating, but nice outside view of the town center it's located in.

I went here on a Friday night with a friend, and while the service was fine I couldn’t hear anything my friend was saying, despite sitting right next to him and having decent hearing. The restaurant was ridiculously crowded, and we left as soon as we finished our food. That being said, our seeing was very nice and helpful despite the overwhelming amount of people, and the salmon sliders were amazing!

I have overall enjoyed the atmosphere of this place in the few visits I’ve made but in my most recent visit I experienced a bartender (white skin girl with I believe brown medium length hair) snap at me for attempting to get her attention after waiting 5 minutes to make my first order for a drink. I had waited patiently but then decided to raise my hand when she had passed by and she responded by saying “Uh hello? Do not waive your hand in my face if you want to get service. I am not serving you.” She then spent the next 5 minutes staring at me every time she passed by me at the bar while I was waiting for another (actually genuine) bartender to serve me. This experience has made me have doubts on ever returning to Bar Louie for fear of encountering this same person again.

If you are not American, forget about this place. The bar used to be very nice, but I don't know if the management changed and, last time I went they didn't allow my friends to enter in the place because didn't have an American document or the passport with her international drivers license. Then, the manager justified saying they were not going to enter and that's all. The other security guard allowed one my friend to enter, and I never had problem in NJ or NY about that, since the documents were valid and I am older than 21yo. The people was very rude and gave us a totally racist feeling just because we were immigrant. If you want to have fun with americans, is a great place for you. But, if you are foreign and want to have a nice time with your friends, I would definitely avoid this place.

We were in town for work, first time visiting; and this was our favorite place we stopped. They have a hot honey chicken sammich that was the REAL DEAL, and our bartender Pete was super chill and gave us a ton of local spots to checkout while we were out exploring and kept us from hitting all the usual touristy spots you always find on google, it really made the trip. As much as the food hit all thr spots, the atmosphere and friendly workers realy set it off. Cant say we will be back in the area any time soon, but if/when we make our way back, bar louie is top of the list! I have to make special mention about the cherry chocolate cake desert. My Gf hasnt shut up about it since we left.
