At the moment the business has a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this rating has been based on 468 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is really positive, and it is founded on a large number of scores, so we may think that the evaluation is quite faithful. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Italian restaurant.
Always a wonderful experience! The food is delicious and the service is consistently spot on. Get the Caprese and you won't be disappointed; large and shareable with both fresh mozzarella and basil. I always have a relaxed time and never have I felt as though I was being rushed out so they turn the table. This is my go-to restaurant for lunch and dinner alike.
Food is good. Nice place. The only thing is they need to learn to drain the pasta so it doesn't dilute the sauce and turn it into soup. Happens every time. ☹
Decent food. Pizza is great but greasy. Service is ok. Don't get the chicken marsala it's watery rubber chicken...but yea other than that not bad.
The veal parmesan my favorite, doesn't disappoint, robust sauce. The 2bread basket &olive oil dipping sauce perfect. Great for special occasion & rooms available to celebrate any occasion. Chester Place To Be &enjoy.
Good service, but it’s fast Italian food place, chicken wings, Italian salad and veggie sample, no fresh, too much vinagre and salt flavor... so disappointed...
Hubby and I have been pleased with this restaurant for years having dined in and carried out on many occasions so when a church member asked what would be a great place to celebrate her daughters' 18th birthday I recommended Antonios. She said she had to pay a $75 deposit to use the large room in the back. She reserved it for 27 people. 27 people came but for reasons unknown to us two decided not to eat. Most of the guests were high school students and of the 27 in attendance this was a first time experience at Antonios for 25 of them. Well at one of the tables a little brown critter (a roach) decided to stroll across the table. In an effort not to alarm the other guests the adults at the table quickly killed it and informed the one server (that was another thing we had one server for that large group of people) sorry I digressed! After informing the server (she apologized) and said she would send a manager over. Well the manager never came over. Then to add insult to the entire dining experience, this mother was told she was not getting her $75 deposit back because two people did not eat plus they added the gratuity to each one of our tickets. She was not told this up front that all guests were REQUIRED to eat in order to get the deposit back so when she asked for additional information she was told that this was the house rules. Needless to say I was horrified at this action because I suggested Antonios. We all spent a considerable amount of money there, well over the deposit amount so I'm clueless why she could not get her $75 back when the 25 people who did eat spent about $400-$500? My bill was almost $100 and the meal items aren't cheap. Needless to say hubby and I will no longer patronize Antonios Restaurant in Chester, Va which saddens me because we love the food but with that nasty roach walking across the table, no management intervention, the unwillingness to provide more than one server coupled with the overall atmosphere on Saturday June 1 , 2019 at 2:00pm, it's a restaurant I am no longer comfortable supporting.
Service was slow and the salad was aweful
Not your everyday Italian restaurant. Great food and fantastic salad and soup. They have real dishes prepared by a real chef. Folks say their pizza is great but I wouldn't know. We go for the dinners that others just cant compete with Antonio's quality. Steak with Marsala mushroom sauce, Rockfish, Lobster and shrimp in lobster wine sauce, veal marsala. Fantastic place to take someone special.
My husband and I shared a pizza. I thought pizza hut were good. Oh no, Antonio's pizza is the best we have ever had. Plenty of choices to get to put on the pizza and they don't skimp on the toppings either. Pizza is fully loaded. I give Antonio's an A+.
It was "ok".
Over priced. Ordered a specialty alfredo pizza that didn't have the sauce or barely any that I couldn't taste. I had to ask for extra sauce on side. They do bring out bread for appetizer, which is nice. Nice dining atmosphere.
Great menu and food at lunchtime. Excellent service.
Great Italian food and wait staff. Not inexpensive but worth it.
Very nice decor. Went for a business lunch meeting. Felt as though we were being rushed even though there was plenty of seating available.
I went here for my birthday & I was highly disappointed. You get that immediate your kind isn't welcome here the way people stare at you when you come inside. They seated everyone in my family in the far back corner of the restaurant away from everyone. Literally the only good thing about the restaurant was our waitress whom was really nice. The food sucked. I took one bite & the rest is still in my refrigerator. My friend whom eats everything & anything wouldn't even eat it.
The food, service and ambiance was amazing
Best Italian food I've eaten in Virginia anywhere and I've traveled all of Virginia.
The food here is very good ,I am vegan and they do have food available on their menu for me that is not just salad.
This was my 1st time visiting Antonio's. I was craving pasta and wanted to go somewhere close to home. I went with my roomie and daughter. As soon as I walked in, I was intrigued by the scenery...warm lighting, coozy furniture, nice decorations. We were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted a booth or table. We sat in a booth. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She asks what we would like to drink (we all got water). It takes me longer then everyone else to pick what I want because there are so many great looking dishes on the menu. I go with a chicken pasta dish, topped with a red sauce, black olives, and peppers. The meal comes with either a side of soup or salad. I get the salad. We get bread and dip as we wait for our entrees. It doesn't take long before we get our food. Everything looked amazing. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Our waitress periodically checked on us and refilled my water with ask. After we were finished, our waitress brings our check with mints and asked if we needed to go plates. It was a lot of food so I didn't finish all of my food so I needed one and so did my daughter. Our waitress thanked us for visiting.
Enjoyed our meal and had a great time! Blake is a phenomenal bartender and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend!
Very nice restaurant, they have a baby grand piano to play if you know how, great food .
Great food and service. Salad could use some additions! The parmesan peppercorn dressing is delish!
Anyone who rated below 4 star doesn't know what they're talking about. This restaurant is amazing. I use the chesterfield location, never been disappointed in all aspects of what a restaurant should do.
Food terrible we all sent ours back....and it was a birthday party
The staff is always great and what I've ordered is too. I love sitting outside in their patio - they crank up the AC so high that I won't go if it's raining because I have to bring a blanket to sit inside
They won't let me and my friend use the bathroom. They said that we made a mess and can't use the bathroom. We did not make a mess. So now we are not allowed to use the bathroom.
Awesome food and great service. We had a group of 10 eating together and Addison did a real nice job taking care of us.
Great food and great location
Been going there for years, never a bad meal!
First time eating here with a friend, and the setting is a nice atmosphere. We both shared an appetizer of spinach n artichoke dip with some toasty bread. Being a conniseur of Italian food, Spaghetti my favorite, and currently on the spaghetti diet and yes losing weight! Really! Was very tasty, had the baked spaghetti, w/ mushrooms, n meatballs was fantastic. Honestly tho, the bread I did not care for, my opinion only, but did not waste it and took it home and ate it later. I think my servers name was Brandon, and he was personable, did a good job. I WILL be back, that's for sure!
the food is delicious and the staff is friendly. atmosphere is pretty nice too
Wonderful staff and food
Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Presentation was spot on!!
Awesome, little place me and my boyfriend go a few times loveeeeee the food!!!
Great food and great service...the server Megan she is excellent
Excellent food & drinks, very attentive service, authentic Italian atmosphere.
We returned for our wedding anniversary and were treated to a much better experience than in August. Our server, Jose, did terrific job. I had the Jombolti and it was terrific. My wife had the chicken Marsala and was well-pleased. Our appetizer and salads were very good. Antonio's restored our faith and we are glad we gave them a second chance.
Good service, (friendly staff) and food quality excellent!!!
Good food. Nice atmosphere.
We dined here for the second time last week. Pur first experience was a 4.5. This trip wasn't as good. Our server did a very good job. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer. It was very bland and I realize tomatoes aren't in season locally. I wouldn't order it again. The pasta carbonara was delicious and plentiful. The Italian salad was large and full of veggies and feta. The grilled chicken on the salad was dry and tough. My #1 issue was an employee that just got done with his shift waiting tables and stood out in front of the bar entrance door smoking. Then he'd come in sit at the bar and drink. At one point he got up and mixed his own drink...not once washing his hands. I've worked in the restaurant business and we were never allowed to sit at the bar drinking after a shift. Let alone stand out in front of the restaurant smoking.
Good service
This restaurant is fantastic, it vastly exceeded my expectations. We ate there on a Friday night around 7pm, and there was no wait and a fair amount of open seats. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous, but not at all overbearing. Salads came out within two minutes of ordering (and they were delicious) and the entrees came just as we were finishing our salads about five minutes later. I was stunned how quickly the food was prepared, considering how I ordered a 14oz ribeye and my dad ordered seared salmon. They were both cooked to perfection. I will definitely be returning to this establishment.
Great place with great food.
Quite food was great service was good
Super stringy cheezey pizza. Not a bad choice if your after an Italian menu.
Great pizza and sandwiches great Italian food as well but their French fries are my favorite
Great food always, eat-in or take out.
Nice atmosphere, great food and good service. I had their shrimp & scallops scampi over linguine. The pasta was done perfectly, the sauce had the right amount of garlic and the shrimp and scallops we're cooked perfectly.
The server was nice and the food was great. The service was fast and I had a good time even though I went by myself
This is a great place for lunch. I love the BLT. You can have with a wrap instead of a bun. The fries are pretty good. The service is decent. I've had to wait for a host to seat me a few times. Even when they are slow. And sometimes the wait staff can take a while to even get to you. But they are currently training new staff so I'm going to assume that's why things are a bit slow to get done.
Good food
Great food and atmosphere. Prompt, attentive and friendly staff. Have enjoyed every item I've tried so far. Highly recommend the Veal Parmesan.
Great food. Great price. Great atmosphere & courteous service.
They arr always wonderful!
Would recommend Antonio's to anyone. Good service and good food.
Sensational calamari and fettuccine with garlic and olive oil. The waitress was efficient and friendly.
Pretty good Italian restaurant. The restraunt was very understaffed so it took a long time to get our orders prepared and the server was doing his best to try and keep up. Service should be better.
Food was ok but service and attitude need work.
The staff always strives to make every visit pleasant and delicious. We are vegan and love crafting our own pastas selections.
Excellent food and service !!
Delicious! I took my family here for my husband's birthday. The food was incredible and large portions. Will be going back
Our server Natalie was great! We had a medium cheese pizza chef salad house salad the side of broccoli and a side of fries. All of which the kids declared awesome. If you have not ever tried it the parmesan peppercorn dressing is outstanding. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the decor and especially the service and food.
Went for a dinner party. Food was bland. Some of the bread was stale. The shrimp soup was not good. Oh, and let's not forget about the 2 roaches, one crawled across the floor and the other crawled across the edge of the table next to me.
While on vacation in Virginia had a delicious dinner of chicken parmesan and pasta, delicious!
Good food good prices
Portions for lunch are really big. Prices are reasonable. Overall a great experience for our first visit.
Niiiice! Good food at a good price. With 25 minutes notice, we walked in during work week for lunch for 12 people, which morphed into 18. Not only were we seated, ordered, served, but staff were immensely polite and efficient.
Good service. Food was ok.
The place was really nice and the food was big enough portions for take home. I had the stromboli and it wad hand made with fresh ingredients. There were only 2 wait staff for a Sunday. I ended up having to get my own to go box from a wait station.
First of all, I am deeply saddened I have seen this place hundreds of times and never tried them! I recently went here with coworkers for lunch and must say it is wonderful! Excellent food, great service, and lovely ambience/atmosphere. I plan on coming back at some point with my family or husband for lunch because the food was absolutely delicious. Side Note: One of the waitresses rubbed some of my coworkers the wrong way with her attitude, but I'm fairly thick-skinned and didn't feel anything from it. She wasn't rude, kept our drinks filled, checked on us, and was actually pretty funny. I have no complaints.
Good for families and they have a very good wine selection.
Not a bad atmosphere for my first time dining in and the food was pretty decent
Amazing service. Was there for wedding party and it ran smoothly, food and drinks were delicious.
Service not too good. Not knowledgable. Food very good.
Last Week: Very disappointed in Host. I ordered sandwiches with fries, Pepsi, cup of ice and a container of bakery cookies. I ask for a bag at check out and she tried telling me I could carry and she would open the door. I suggested again that she provide me with a bag and she got out a cardboard 4 compartment soda carrier for the Pepsi and cup of ice! So, here I am with my food, cola carrier and a container of cookies without a bag! I told her that I wasn’t about to ask her a third time. I struggled carrying all these items and my purse. Makes ya wonder how much those brown handled paper bags cost huh?!!!!! HOW RUDE Today: Applebee’s (I got a bag with handle without having to ask and they have curbside service)
Debbie is always great!
The food was good but the service was horrible
Food and service was superb! Authentic Italian
Recently, I moved to Virginia and some friends took me to this restaurant. It was the best pizza. I tried the cheesecake and it was very tasty as well.
The place was packed and had a decent atmosphere for a place located in a suburban shopping center. Host and folks at the front were very friendly and inviting. Service was poor, as it seemed our servier may have been new to the business. She didn't know the specials, could not pronounce the dishes, kept forgetting our drink order and generally didn't seem confident in what she was doing. She was nice though and appeared to be working hard to try to do a good job. Food came out cold and drinks took forever, which isn't necessarily on the server (except for forgetting the drink order). One of our party received chicken instead of the veal they ordered, but the restaurant did a decent job of rushing out a veal replacement. I'm pretty patient with new servers and I would not give a restaurant a bad review just for that, but unfortunately our food wasn't great either. Food was mixed. The Tortellini ala Panna was very good; properly cooked and the sauce was delicious. Enjoyed the Pineapple Triple Layer very much and pizzas our kids ordered were fine, as was the bread. My Manhattan up cocktail was made correctly, which counts for something because a lot of places can't seem to make a proper Manhattan! Vegetables were fine. On the downsize, my medium rare ribeye was delivered medium well, with no hint of pink at all. The meat had a good smokey flavor, but it was a thin, somewhat tough cut that reminded me of the cheap ribeye steaks you get out a country restaurant on Saturday nights. Broccoli cheese soup was tasteless and more like a goo than a soup. The veal was also tasteless, delivered in a very watery sauce. The spaghetti side looked and tasted like what you would get in an institutional kitchen. This is not an expensive place and I wasn't expecting to get blown away, but based on this experience I think I'd get more consistent value and quality from a chain like Applebee's or Olive Garden. Too bad, as I'd much rather go to a local joint. Surprised at the very high ratings, but maybe I just got unlucky that night. My parents have eaten here four or five times and have found it consistently "fine", with the Tortellini ala Panna keeping them coming back.
While the food here is good, I’m tired of ordering carry out only to have the order messed up. When you call to see how they will fix it the staff says you have to bring it back immediately or they can only issue a portion of a credit to you. So because they messed up you have to stop what your doing and return to the establishment so they can fix it. It’s Policy they claim! Spoke to a woman tonight by the name of Geri Zach who was less then attentive when I placed my initial order and then rude when I called back and placed me on hold abruptly numerous times when I was trying to let her know what was wrong with the order. Very disappointed.
Great atmosphere, service,and food.
I love this place. Food is great and people are nice. It is not too expensive and the portions are generous.
Was not thrilled with my sandwich, but our server Connor was outstanding!
Decent not great italian food..reasonable
Not as good as many Italian restaurants I've been too.
Good food good service. Inviting atmosphere
Great food, my wife met another couple with a baby and the waitress saw we were taking our time with the appetizers (calamari and garlic bread sticks) and paced our lunch accordingly. Entrees were also delicious. Had a great time and look forward to coming back.
Its great food
Friendly place. I live the pineapple cake
Very quick and delicious food
Love that place. Great veal parmigiana
Great food, great service. Vets discount. Great atmosphere. Eat there often always great dine in take out. Been going there since the 90'S.
Good service. Pasta was ok.
I give two stars because the waitress was nice. This is attempt#3 at this restaurant. The food is mediocre, if u are lucky. Over priced. And while the waitress was nice... Everything took so so long to come out.
Came here for my wedding reception bridal party dinner of 12. We had made reservations and preplanned our dinner selections months in advance. Upon arrival we was taken straight to our table in a private area. We only had one waiter, but he did okay. Only issue I had with him is that he didn't serve my spouse first. As we were the guest of honor we should have been served according. We had a three course meal section and it was pretty good. The cheesecake was delicious and my party had a good selection of toppings. However whem the bill arrived the gratuity was included. Which was no problem but that should've been discused during the preplanning. As his service wasn't to attentive to my spouse as it should of been.
have always loved the food and the service however today the only bump in my day was that i requested by phone for my pizza to be ready when i arrived & i was told not once but twice that they usually Do Not Do That....? with only an hour for lunch its difficult to have a decent lunch in that time....with all that said with sarcasm...we arrive to no hostess....( apparently the one i had spoke with on the phone appears ) seats us ...another 5 minutes our server comes...and the pizza was still 1 :00 coming out....rush n eat and go....i just do not see what the big deal is? we will keep going to the places closer to the county 4 lunch....but really enjoy the food....! Customer Service is always most important......!
Great food . OK bartender. But the wine!!!! Be careful on tap wines. My wife's 1st wine smelled like vinegar. Bad thing was she tasted it. Not pleasant of course. But got a refund......but excellent food and good beers. Watch and smell the wines out of the electronic wine pours...
Just hosted the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding here at Antonio's. We are from out of state and had to make plans long distance. Christine(and Kelly) were professional, patient and incredibly helpful. The service, thank you to our waiter and waitress, was excellent. The food was fresh, piping hot and really delicious. The variety Christine helped us choose was just right. We heard compliments from many of the guests. The restaurant is clean, modern and pleasant. Thank you for making a special occasion even more memorable!
The food was horrible and the service is even worse. We were disregarded as if we were not there when after 25 minutes of sitting at the table and without even being asked for our drink order. Next when the waitress came she was rushing us as if she was on a racetrack. I will never go back and advise others not to go. Very prejudice as well.
Service of excellence, very delicious menus.
Stopped in for lunch today and was very happy with my decision. The food was great and came out very quickly. They even have a wine bar like area where you can fill your own glass with different wines. It looked a bit fancier than we were dressed for, but still a great experience!
Manager made me pay $10 for a nasty martini I had one sup of. Everything else was great, but that'd unacceptable. I will never ever be back
Clean, friendly staff, affordable, very delicious,
Was amazing. The food and service was 5 stars for sure. I will definately be back
This was my first visit at this location & my last!! Waitress was very unpleasant & showed no interest when we informed her that there was a roach crawling on our table which we had to kill ourselves!! Should have gotten up & left but we were celebrating my granddaughter's 18th Birthday & didn't want to make a scene!!
Place is very nice inside, best fries I ever had, the sandwich, veal parmesan had very little meat but the sandwich was hot and good
Great food, huge portions, waitress was very attentive. Had a great time with my date, and will definitely be back.
Nice restaurant. Love the rooms in the back for a big party, we were there with about 40 people. Staff was courteous, food was delicious, we had a great time.
Fantastically good food & service. Sraff listened to our needs & quickly found better seating. Good prices
Great food, a little pricey but food worth the price, big appetizers, come with an appetite! Also nice place for a romantic date on bar side.
I love that gluten free menu in the gluten free pizza.
Great food and great staff. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
The best Italian restaurant in Chester. Friendly service and delicious food.
Came here for the first time tonight - lovely atmosphere, easy parking. Our server was extremely sweet and competent. The wine and beer selection is nice, and reasonably priced. My date “created a pasta”, which was great. I had chicken marsala, which was very moist and flavorful. Creme brûlée for dessert topped it off!
Had the pizza, great food. Took an Italian sub home to eat the next day, it was great also. Service was good, we had a table of 8, only one persons meal was delayed, every thing else was perfect.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Chester Virginia. Service is fast, food is fresh and easy to find with spacious parking.
This restaurant advertises that it's a wine bar. Not once was a wine recommended for our meal. The Reisling we chose was maybe as good as a 10 dollar grocery store bottle and served waaaay too cold. The veal: soggy with cold spinach. Shrimp scampi: why did my shrimp have the tail on? I needed a ton of salt and parmesan. Very very bland sauce and mushy pasta. The kids pasta was also mushy and bland. I'd also feel safe saying the sauce was nothing but canned tomato puree with minced garlic. It lacked any flavor whatsoever. On the other hand, our server was fast, attentive and kind.
Very disappointed in the food. Ordered a simple BL&T sandwich. Took forever to come out and then it only had 2 small slices of Romano tomato and about 1 1/2 slices of bacon. Had fries with it. VERY small amount of fries and they charged $2.50 extra. Don't think we'll be back.
So, we wanted to sit outside and have enjoyable, decent quality food and beer on tap. My wife ordered basic spaghetti with meat sauce, and I ordered flounder frances. (Not sure why my wife orders spaghetti when we go out, but that's another subject...) The good: the beer was delicious and reasonably priced. The other: the pasta was not al dente. The flounder, rather than lightly breaded and crispy, was soggy and soaked in the sauce. Overall, the meal was worth about $10 less than what we paid. Maybe if you want to go for appetizers and beer, you would have a better experience. Oh, and my wife wants you to know that the tortellini soup tasted like frozen tortellini.
Food was great the service was amazing
Clean restaurant with great food. Service is awesome. Ask for Sean!
Very disappointed...we sat for 15-20 minutes before we were acknowledged..and only after we said something to another server. I had calzone which had tons of cheese but had trouble finding ham. Salad sides never brought. And woman (owner?) came over and rudely started clearing our table without speaking to us. Will not go back.
Great friendly service warm atmosphere. Hostess Geri a hoot!
Good food. Service was great
We were a very large party. Service was excellent, food was prepared and brought to table quickly. Food was delicious. Server very prompt and professional.
Great subs homemade potato chips were excellent
Always a great place to eat at, no matter the size of your party. Antonio's has the space and manpower to provide stellar service. The Antonio's staff is always on point, courteous and will provide you with an authentic meal. I feel like we go here weekly and I have never been let down. Thank you all!!!
This place is awesome. Tonight was my first visit and I had got the build your own pasta. I loved it. Here is a pic of crab and shrimp pizza.
Good food
Amazing food
I always order to take home. Service is always quick and food is great. Like the ambience too
Horrible... It was my first time here and unfortunately, most likely my last. Where should I begin? The shrimp soup was just pink water with a few seemingly undercooked shrimp and some tomatoes. The bread and oil tasted stale (both of them). Some of the bread for my spin-art dip was burned, some wasn't toasted at all, but yet somehow they managed to make sure it was all stale and hard. Also, they assigned one server, who did great btw under the circumstances, to our party of at least 25 individuals which was a problem in itself. And wait, for the pièce de résistance... TWO ROACHES!!! One crawled by my table and the other was actually ON a table not far from me. Hopefully it was just a bad day for them and this is not their "normal"... Either way, this was a very disappointing and unsatisfying dining experience.
The pizza is great
Italian food was excellent and the service was great. We did not have to wait to be seated or for our food to be served.
Great food at reasonable prices
Love their Gluten Free pizza. Quick pick up time on call in orders.
Great pizza, beer selection pretty adequate, friendly and accommodating staff to our family including our toddler. Would recommend!
I enjoyed my food :-)
Good food
Price high, service indifferent, pizza was great though
Great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere!! The food selection was nice and the drinks were very well prepared and mixed.
This is the 3rd time I have eaten here in the last 3 months and have been impressed each time with each new dish I have tried. The kitchen staff is always on their A game, offering consistently outstanding results each and every time. The atmosphere is an intimate one, a place where one would take a date for dinner or perhaps lunch with a business partner. Their bar is very well stocked and they have an excellent selection of wines, spirits and beers for any occasion or taste. The wait staff is attentive but unobtrusive, the bartender is friendly and knows his craft. Their prices are quite reasonable for the large portions served up.
Great food, friendly staff. We recieved our food fairly fast, everything was correct.
Gooooood food and Drinks... Date Night
Your food gets there fast and always taste amazing.
I love this place. Clean, courteous, good food. If a restaurant is clean, has clean bathroom, neat and clean employees I will come back. If not, I don't return.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. They have a Devine lemon desert. Not heavy .... It topped off our dinner! Can't wait to come back in town! Vicki from Suffolk
