Taco Tuesday... tacos tasted like dog food, I kid you not, that was frozen and brought to roim temperature and served in a cold soft taco shell... absolutely horrible place. One of my friends had the bourbon burger and thought it was good, so that's why I give it a two stars. Drinks... horrible and pricey even for well drinks.

Such a good place and decent menu, friendly bartenders and staff. Sabrina had a completely packed bar but was a pro and completely on top of everything, and with a smile and a great attitude. They have to fix the mold smell...its a complete turnoff and ruins what would once again be a great place...

Our family came here for dinner tonight after a long day at the beach. The Assistant Manager, Brandi was fantastic. She was gracious, kind, and offered phenomenal service-it is always nice to have someone from management stop in and check on your meal, not to mention spend time with us and chat.

The food was not good and the service lacked a lot. We didnt get fries with one of our meals, my chicken was rubbery and the waitress filled our drinks when we were ready to leave. Not to mention the chicken taste like liver. Will not go back.

Very disappointed...had plan to come back for dinner but since lunch was bad we decided against it....both our orders were wrong..waited for them to be corrected then the chicken tacos was bland! Reported to the manger she only apologized never offered to at least credit us for 1 meal...very disappointed!!

Waited 30 minutes no one ever acknowledged us, just waiting to be put on the waiting list, while the hostess stood over by the waitress drinking. We never did get acknowledged. My other half got a man at the bar to order him a beer, cost almost 9$s, and we went outside to sit at one of the many empty tables.

If I could give this restaurant NEGATIVE stars, I would, solely based on the service alone. The food was decent. The pretzel appetizer was delicious. However, our server and her attitude throughout the night was terrible enough to ruin the entire experience. We originally had 10 people seated at the beginning of our meal, with 2 additional guest joining later. It began expectedly. We each ordered an appetizer, entree, and a drink. Our waitress grouped our checks by couple/person to make it more efficient or easier, as she saw fit. This is where things began to fall apart. Half of our party received their entrees, then 20 minutes later their appetizers came. The other half our our party neither received any food (appetizer or entree) or notification. The waitress only checked with one half of the table (the side who received food) and walked off before checking with the other side, despite our attempts to get her attention. The first reminder came when I asked for the status of my appetizer. By this time, the first half of the table was already done eating and their plates were being cleared away. My appetizer was finally brought out. The 2 additional guests arrived, approximately 40 minutes after we were first seated, and their orders were taken. The food the last couple's order came out of the kitchen before the orders of the latter group half. The waitress was severely infrequent. An order of drinks was never received, despite another reminder. More than an hour after being seated, the third reminder was when another person in our party asked for an update of their meal. As of this moment 3 people had received zero food, 4 people had incomplete orders, and 5 people were already done eating and their plates cleared away. While the remaining food FINALLY came out, our waitress hardly ever came by for the remainder of the meal. No apologies ever about the delay were made. Our checks came. The 20% Service Charge/Tip for large groups is expected, and I am usually happy to accommodate and leave extra; yet, this is the first time I wanted it waived completely. Our waitress most definitely did not deserve an $18 tip. After more waiting, I had to find her to her to let her know our concerns. When I said, "You forgot 3 peoples' orders entirely." She replied, "No, I didn't. I gave everyone their food." Yes...after an hour and a half and a reminder. I asked for a discount for the rest of my unhappy party, to which she promptly responded that she could not because I was the only one with concerns. I told her she could ask for herself. When she approached the table, she asked the side that received their food first and with no problems if they had any issues. They said no, and redirected her statement at me from the front of the table: "So, you're the only one with an issue." NO. The 7 people with less-than-unsatisfactory service spoke up. They got a 10% discount applied to their total check. (The food was discounted, not the service charge. So, technically, she received a more-than-deserved tip.) I can only hope tonight was a fluke. Hopefully, this is a one-time occurrence for any future guests, but it's enough to deter me and my friends from ever coming back.

Good location, right by the beach. You can eat either inside or outside. Not impressed by the food and customer service. We ordered the NY sirloin and it tasted like it was not seasoned at all. My husband asked for steak sauce which the server never brought, so I had to get it from another table. The server never came back to check if we need anything else.

Probably a good place to drink, but we were hungry and specifically for seafood, after a long wait to get a table in a half filled place we ordered fish amd chips ( no taste and 2 small pieces with fries for 17 buck) ceaser salad with blackend salmon, oh wait the waiter didnt write anything down so we got two dried up grilled salmon breast over some lettuce. My kids food hit the table 10 min. before ours the Calamari was over cooked. This place is over priced not staffed well and a tourist trap.

Buffalo shrimp were amazing, the burger was amazing, food is great. My only complaint is the small menu and highs prices. Only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because the buffalo shrimp were unique and amazing. Blue cheese was perfect with them.

I went to Taphouse Tuesday night for a drink. I ended up staying for hours, eating, meeting other people and having several drinks. The happy hour specials till 6 were great. I loved the wings but the bartender was the best. A funny, smart, beautiful blonde named Laura made an awesome old fashioned and made the time fly by. Thanks for the suggestions and introductions. I will definitely be back every time I am in town.

I had hopes for this place seeing good reviews; but when we get there, the hostess seemed annoyed with us. The waitress took forever to come to our table and then was very inattentive. I don't think she said more than 10 different words to us, and we were there an hour. The table was filthy... for example the condensation off my husband's water glass had a ring of white liquid left on the dark wood tables when he picked it up. Not to mention the table tops were very sticky. We both ordered the Fish and Chips. Only part of that that was edible were the fries. The fish was so overcooked and unseasoned that I couldn't eat it. If we go back to the beach, we definitely won't come back here. The two star is for the view alone... it's right there on the beach with an outdoor seating to enjoy it. We sat inside.

We ate here after checking in because it was in our hotel. We could have made better fish and chips in our microwave from Frozen boxed fish sticks. With a limited menu you would think they could knock the few items on it out of the park. The food was not good and service was not much better.

Food was good. I had the fish and chips, the fish was nice and flakey and yummy. Wish there was more fish though. Edit* went back the second day to get more fish and chips to go because I liked it so much. Paid a whole $8 more to get another piece of fish (was my only meal the whole day) when I got back to the hotel the fish was not the same beer battered fish I had the night before. It was covered in seasoning I didn't care for and not battered at all. Very disappointing.

Came here during Virginia Beach restaurant week my first visit here. It was very busy so there was a short wait. Once we were seated the waitress came over pretty quickly. We placed our drink orders and then we never saw our waitress again. Waited about 20 mins then we left. Will not be coming back.

Hello all, This review may be a tad bit long due to us wanting to capture our amazing experience while in Virginia Beach for the first time ever this past week Oct 21st thru 28th! A huge contributing factor were the staff at 11th Street Taphouse Bar & Grille! They made our whole experience each and every day the best! They went out of their way to greet us, welcoming us into their space, engaged in great conversation, shared stories, spent time getting to know us and allowed us to get to know them! We blessed them with our presence every day, we would walk in and there would be hand made signs (on napkins) welcoming their favorite Arizonians, seats saved for our favorite Arizonians etc! We had such an amazing experience that we bought some merchandise to share with our friends and family. We had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, Marisa as well as the Regional Director of Operations, David Cavallaro. When I approached David to let him know what an amazing job his team of staff members are doing, he was so appreciative, respectful and thanked us for purchasing merchandise and supporting the team and business. I would like to give a shout out to all the amazing staff who were contributing factor, they are listed in no particular order. Mike the bartender, was one of the most personable bartenders, attentive, out-going, our artist who made the welcome signs for us, we appreciate him so much! Marisa, the GM was out-going, welcomed us and was so accommodating, and engaging! Albert, Kitchen Manager, was absolutely amazing as he helped his kitchen staff with delivering food, busing tables, etc.., loved their out-going personalities: Always smiling Sarah , Ericka, as they served tables, attended to people to ensure they are having a fantastic experience. Staff would stop to check in with us to see if we needed anything. I watched Shawn stop what he was doing to attend to two individuals in wheelchairs to help them get settled in at their table. Jazmine, Megan, Shamika, Yaya (kitchen) were ALL amazing! We were sad to leave them to fly home! We will hold each staff close to our hearts! Until next time- 11th Street Taphouse Bar & Grille! Meeting this crew has been pretty impactful, it was an honor! The food was delicious, the onion rings, potato chips are the bomb! We saw the huge pretzel come out of the kitchen many times! If you are at the oceanfront and cant decide what you want or where to go for food, seriously, choose this place! By far the best place at the ocean front we have found yet. It did take a a little for us to get a waitress over, however we wanted to sit on the front beach side and the hostess told us that it was already busy over there, so we weren't to bothered for the wait. Once we got a waitress, Kelly took very good care of us. We were a party of 5, and everyone one of us were seriously blown away by the qaulity of food. The potatoes were so friggin good. The green beans were fresh whole green beans cooked perfect! I don't leave reviews often, but I couldn't resist! You will be more than pleased you chose this place.

Our order consisted of ribs, and a ribeye steak. The ribs were perfect and tender, the steak on the other hand was not. I ordered medium rare, I like a very tender juicy steak. What I received was very overcooked even for well done standards. Although after pointing it out to the waitress for the first time in my life, the steak was promptly replaced. The steak, although tasted good was not the best cut. I expected more for a $100 meal.

Long wait for food. Crab cakes and a shrimp and fish plate. 86 tarter sauce (i don't know how that happens when you're restaurant is on the beach). The wait staff was good but not looking to go above and beyond. Environment was so so... a lot of looks at my family because we had two toddlers, and at times they were a bit sporadic. I won't return... but don't let that stop you. Hope this helps.

Food was fine, but wait time was not okay. They sat us down and we waited about 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and that's ONLY because I had to stop a random server. She saw us sitting down but never approached us she said she didn't know who our server was but she'll take our table since it's a win for her. If i didn't grab someone's attention my family and I probably would have sat there. They sat us outside and there was 2 servers out there.

I was there Friday, June 21 between 9-10 p.m. and the tall blonde bartender was by far some of the worse customer service I’ve ever seen. Not only was she spend the majority of her time talking to one male customer, she was neglecting all of her other patrons. At least 2 people sat at the bar, didn’t receive service after 10-15 minutes and walked out. I had to get her attention to tell her that she had customers. That is the first gripe, the next is what she said after I paid the check for my cousin and I. “You’re welcome for the free shot, don’t ever come back.” This was said because I didn’t give her a tip. I’m usually a good tipper, I tip 20%+, but I felt the other bartender who was doing bar service for the tables deserved it, because she was kind, friendly and took care of my cousin and I when our bartender was neglecting to do so. So, the I handed the other bartender the tip. At the end of the day, I don’t believe you should say something like that to a paying customer. I’ve worked in the service industry and I know some customers deserve that to be said to, but you don’t say it to them and then you talk about them to your co-workers later or whoever. I am not going to give someone my hard earned money for poor service. I would like to give a higher rating, the food was good and there was a decent selection of beers, I just can’t get passed the horrible service.

We go once a year & learned they were under new management & it was “better”. The food was great...we had rockfish & it was delicious; not sure what the seasoning was but you wanted to just keep eating it-the lobster risotto was yummy as well! The service was ridiculously slow. We sat at the bar, got drinks & then it took 20-30 minutes to order our food! It was not that busy. Even when I finally was able to ask Brandon what the fish of the day was, he told me & kept walking! He should have stopped & asked if we wanted to order. After another 5-10 minutes- and mentioning we we were ready- we finally got to place our order! I mentioned that it was ridiculous how long we had to wait. Then after the food it took forever to get our bill waiting for the manager to give us our 10% off; again never once was the restaurant that busy. It was a brutal experience & that was it for us! Old bar staff was WAY better- could handle serving their customers and filling server orders at the well!!

Absolutely terrible service. At first everything started off fine but as the evening went on it quickly went downhill. I ordered the seafood platter. The lump crabcake was dry and disgusting, the gulf shrimp tasted sour. And I couldn't even finish the fish du jour because of how bland it was. Some of the company I was with complained about how their mix drinks barely tasted of alcohol. The server was nowhere to be seen for a majority of the time that we were there. And to top it all off they added the gratuity to the bill automatically. I've been to many restaurants and never once have they ever just automatically add gratuity to the bill. For mediocre service and terrible food I think gratuity should be the last thing added to the bill.

Great location, on the beach. Drinks were excellent. However this place needs a facelift. Very dull and uninviting if you were walking down boardwalk. Look around to see what competition is doing, some had full house and Taphouse empty. There is a reason and it's not the drinks , nice , clean appearance could change your business . Bartender was A+ hope when we come back next year we see a full house .

Visited the bar and grille two days ago, was very disappointed for the first time and l have been visiting this bar and grille for a year and a half now. They changed their menu and that was their first mistake. What kind of place, especially a bar and grille and a person cant order chicken wings, they now serve the boneless ones and they were tiny and hard and just thrown in the box. The fries looked like they were just sitting there for awhile, our order was wrong, we did not get everything we ordered until we went back the second time. Never had a problem with this restaurant but l think the next time l stay at the Hotel, l will have to check out other places to eat within walking distances. Get your old menu back Tap House, keep what works.

Had 2 waitstaff. One took drink order and my appetizers. Second brought drinks and took my husband's order. Second person brought my appetizer. After a looong wait my husbands order came. After dinner we ordered dessert (cheesecake &cake) after 2 cups of cold coffee and a loooong wait we just asked for check. Miraculously the dessert is ready ND they packed it to go. No charge. If you are expecting fast service I suggest you go somewhere elsen Food was not bad.

Menu had some intriguing choices, like the crab and guacamole- definitely delicious-so much crab in the she crab soup. I he tuna is amazing and the dressing on the spinach salad is incredible.and prices seemed typical beach prices for a hotel. Nice outdoor patio.

It's Friday night of a memorial day weekend so they were somewhat busy. I can understand things not being 100%. Outside was busy. Inside had some empty tables. Seating was quick. Ordering was quick. Time to deliver food, which was just burgers, fairly long. My fiancee ordered her burger medium rare and received it well done. I ordered mine medium well, and it too was well. Basically, if you like your burger well, this is your place. Other than wait for food and consistent well done burger, service and burgers were ok. Time of service was 8:30 and band starts at 10.

Let me start with the host she has the worst customer service ever ,but anyway Came to eat with 4 of my Hispanic friends 3 order 15 minutes before my 4th friend she Hispanic as well but looks like she can be white she order after us at the end we didn’t get our food ,but our 4th friend got her food while we still waited 45 minutes in total & still didn’t get our food !!!! Never again will I ever give my money or waste my time in this restaurant it just shows how racist all of the bartenders are in there !!!

This place choose to charge my card more than the actual bill. Wonder how many other times they have done this to other people. Beware check your card statement. Will never return here.

Terrible service, high prices, and an extremely long wait for food. Ordered salads and didnt get them til the meal came. Steaks overcooked, fatty and salty. Definitely disappointed!!!

Atmosphere is chill, nothing special or fancy. Our server was very friendly but didn’t write our orders down, being a server my self this concerned me. Ordered steak medium and it came out well, as well as the burger we ordered. Fish and chips were OK but the fish was anything but “fresh.” Being in a tourist ocean area I’d expect better fish, it was clearly frozen before hand and then deep fried, steak seemed like it was frozen before hand as well. Food was way over priced for its quality. If you wanna spend that much go to Waterman’s or Chix.

This is what they call crab soup. That liquid stuff you see is....oil...it was everywhere as you can se by the napkin. The shrimp and grits was not really shrimp and grits.

The food is terrible and service is extremely slow. Took over an hour to receive our food. When the food finally arrived 2 people at my table couldn’t even eat their food because it was cold. We barely saw our waiter and he acted like we were bothering him. Don’t waste your money like I did!

The food was ok, just as expected. Good place to grab a drink on the patio by the boardwalk but nothing spectacular. I was amazed that they allow street vendors to come inside the patio to try to sell you stuff while you’re eating.

I won't be going back. We went here because they allow dogs on their patio, but they don't serve vegans. There was nothing on the menu that was even vegetarian. When I asked what the kitchen could make me, they said they could do a raw salad, but they had no dressing that was suitable for vegans. How utterly pathetic. Needless to say, we didn't stay to eat.

Location is great. Right on the boardwalk. All else went downhill very fast. As soon as we walked in there was no one at the desk to greet guests. When two hostesses arrived, one went directly to her phone to check social media and payed zero attention to anyone waiting for a table. The other seemed to be caught off guard when we asked for a table for 5. While checking for a table a server came to the desk and said that a table hadn’t been greeted by their server for quite a while... anyway, we were seated outside, looked through the menu and waited. And waited. And waited some more. We were there for about 3 1/2 songs that the entertainment was playing when my wife decided to go inside and find out when we’d be waited on. All they said was, “Oh, OK...” After another 5 minutes, and seeing another table who were seated after us being served, we decide to get up and leave. All I can say about the food is that the menu doesn’t have a ton of options.

Website says the restaurant is currently open. Since we're driving from Hampton to eat there, we made sure to check in advance before making the trip and wasting our time... after making the drive, paying $5 for parking, and walking in the rain to the restaurant, we were greeted with chains on the door and a sign informing us that the restaurant is closed until 2019. Total waste of our time, on the only kid-free night my husband and I have had together in months. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe how we feel.

Pretty sure our waiter was a bit on the slow side , couldn't count past 5 there was 7 of us and only 5 drinks were brought out. Took an hour to get food and a refill for our drinks. The hot food was served cold and the food that was supposed to be cold came out warm. Then we asked for 5 boxes to take home left overs and he brought out 2 boxes. I had to ask another waiter to get me the other 3. And that was on top of being rushed to order food. The band they had was pretty amazing though !

Terrible terrible terrible. Our servers forgot our order. Had to come back and ask twice. Our food came before our appetizer. On top of it all our server wouldn't let us eat in peace and kept trying to rush us out. Also referred to us as dudes and bros. Just very unprofessional. Food also wasn't very good cold and had no flavor. Will not return.

Hostess seemed annoyed that we were there. Didn’t want to get off her phone. Provided only two menus for a party of five. After being seated we waited 10 minutes and still had not seen a waiter/waitress. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. This one should should be avoided.

Stopped here for lunch today and really enjoyed our visit. We ordered the fish tacos (fried shrimp ones) and they were so good!! They have a nice beer selection and a good sized 3 sided bar. They have a big outside seating area which is great but it was very humid today so we sat at the bar. They also have a smoking outside seating area too for those who smoke. And they are dog friendly and provide dog bowls. Overall a good experience!

Absolute horrible experience tonight! Should have known better when we told the hostess there were six of us and we had to put our own tables and chairs together to accommodate 6. After ordering it took 40 minutes to cook 6 hamburgers & fries all while during this time the waitress never came to see if we needed anything. Ticket comes for $94, we hand the waitress a buy one entree, get one 1/2 off & she says that she doesn't think we can use it because it was a little after 6:00...which the coupon did say between 4-6 BUT we ordered between that time & can't help that their service sucks & food took so long to be served. They were not busy at all either. We eat here every year we are at VA beach, but will not be back again.

Location is great, but food and drink were lacking. Asked for steak cooked mesium and got a very dry, well done, tasteless piece of meat. Side selection was limited to mostly unhealthy options. Drinks were mostly ice. My daughter had a burger which came cooked correctly and she liked, so maybe that is their strength. Bill was almost $80 for what felt like a $40 meal. Guess we paid for the location.
