I will never go there again, as a dish that was made tasted bad and I literally, ended up arguing with them for ten minutes as they were not going to take it off, the bill. never in my life have I ever been to a restaurant where if I did not eat the dish because I didn't like it they did not remove it from the bill, this restaurant must be really hurting for business, it would be my suggestion to not go to this place as you will not get things removed from your bill if you do not like them. the only reason I gave it one star is because the girl who served me was very nice and she was caught in the middle I feel

I had a horrible experience tonight. The portions were embarrassingly small, and they served no vegetables with their entrée. The prices were more expensive than Single Pebble, and the food was quite poor. When I asked them about perhaps some steamed vegetables with their meager portions, they said the manager was happy to do that for $12. The waitress was awful. I don't expect every meal to be a homerun, but I Ieft feeling like I was taken advantage of. I know why there were 4 tables being served at rush hour on a Friday night; I will understand if they go out of business. I would post zero stars if I could. I will never go back.

Great place to sit down for very nice meal. Tasty food, friendly service, quite atmosphere with cloth tablecloths. I enjoyed the dumplings in spicy sesame sauce, general tsaos chicken and whilst with basil. I also appreciated how beautifully the food was presented, with flowers on the plates.

I came in and asked if I could wait for my friend to arrive. Staff was extremely friendly and chatted with me while I waited. I ordered the sliced chicken with broccoli lunch special along with a miso soup. The meal was amazing and cheap! Great Chinese restaurant in South Burlington area

The best of American Chinese food, plus a wonderful traditional menu, great house specials, and an inexpensive lunch menu. Not high-end but not a hole in the wall. The regular staff are friendly. The owner, Sunny, is often around working the floor, and she chose her English name well! The house is happy to work with you on substitutions or additions. We have too many favorites to mention here!

I love this place. Although it is a dollar or two more expensive than the "dime a dozen" chinese chain eateries, it is worth the dollar. The rice tastes FRESH, the noodles are cooked PERFECTLY, beef tastes like beef, veggies taste like veggies, and chicken (my wife loves the tangerine chicken) tastes like chicken. I have not been in the kitchen to see how they make the food, but I beleive that the cooks actually make to order instead of doing things in a rush. Customer service is great too. All of the sraff that I have had interactions with have been friendly and pleasant. If I could give a 10 star I would.

Between 2&3 based off of Price alone, it's expensive for what you get. Presentation is a 4-5 Taste is a 4-5 But because the prices were so high I would probably never go back, unless i had money to blow. Nothing against it but if it's not worth me going back then I dont value it high

If I can give them 0 stars I will.Very expensive for mediocre food,we order this and that and chicken wings,that come bloody blood was on the plate to .When we call guy to show him he just ask us do we still want that food,we said we are hungry so he went back back in to kitchen cut the wings with the knife on few spots then cook them for minutes until they look like piece of wood.They still charge us for that wings and everything else,no apologies,spare ribs was like cut like chips and then burnt that you can barely chew .And yet they are so so expensive .Wow. At least they should apologies .Not recommended to anybody .Worst food and people.

I had an incredible time at Zen Gardens. The wait staff were excellent! Our food came out quicky, and looked amazing. Plus our food was nice and hot and tasted amazing. By far the best Asian restaurant I've visited.

Horrible service, I generally dont write reviews but had to because of this ridiculous service. Food was good but we had to ask for plates, water and sauces and the guy didn't care to ask. At the end when i tipped him $5 (just wanted to show him that it was bad) he stopped and demanded 20%.. i will never go there again.

Delicious! Family style portions to share and it’s basically the gourmet version of your neighborhood Chinese food restaurant. With a beautiful interior and outside seating it’s a great place to indulge. I give it 4 stars only because the food is a tad too greasy but I’m sure that’s why it tastes so good!

We love Zen Gardens for both take-out and eating at the restaurant. This is a modern Chinese restaurant with a traditional feel. The tables are great for large groups. There are intimate booths, too. There is a nice bar and areas for parties. You can link to online ordering through Yelp, which is fast & easy. The staff is always friendly and service is great and fast. A local favorite that is close to the I-189 spur for easy on/off for travellers. Near Palace 9 theater and located directly behind McDonald's if you are looking for it from Shelburne Rd. / Hwy. 7. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience! Clean inviting environment. Being plant based we were excited to see some mock meat options on the menu and boy what a surprise! Everything was delicious and prepared in such a way we have never tasted or thought of preparing, it was really a treat. :) We went during a not so busy time and will say that there were 2 employees taking naps not too far off...perhaps something to think about for the future to have a designated break room.

Update 2017: Zen Gardens still rocks! Best secret in Burlington. Great dishes, always well prepared. My only complaint is the place gets really cold in the winter. They sometimes drag out space heaters to help but not always. Certainly isn't enough to keep me away, i love this place. Shrimp Royale and beef teriyaki are A+++ , consistently good food.

Best Crispy Pork! You have to try it! This is not a fast food place it is a Chinese Food Restaurant. When you are looking for something above Fried Chicken Wings with Pork Fried Rice and Beef with Broccoli, stop by this place. The food is a cut above your usual Chinese takeout. Yes, they do have the usual stuff, but if you're more adventurous there's definitely a lot to try. The eggplant in garlic sauce is spicy tasty. Some of our other favorites are Volcano, Salt and Pepper Seafood combo and Zen's Tangerine Beef (this is on the sweet side) We always have to stop by here whenever we are in town. It is a couple of bucks more than the usual take out place, but that's why you don't order your usual chinese takeout dishes here. They do take credit cards!
