Wow I loved my Breakfast Monster (savory crepe with cage free egg, cabot cheddar, roasted squash, basil, caramelized onion, spinach)! My husband liked his State breakfast I think is what it’s called - 2 sliders with bacon, egg, and their homemade pesto. The ambience was great, had a cool vibe.
Love the crepes and the easygoing vibe.
Neat place, good live music
Mocha and kale Caesar salad were fantastic. Great vibe.
Lovely place to eat New England food only.
The selection is adequate if not a bit over priced for the meal. Tried 2 entrées, it was alright.
Good crepes and good coffee! They have a ton of options for sweet or savory.
Simply tasty! Cozy place and super friendly staff
Great restaurant. Local food, delicious food. Good prices. Nice beer.
Very unique take on crepes and was very refreshing. Coffee was pretty good too.
Interesting menu. Nice unique twist on breakfast/brunch/lunch. I wish I had one of these closer to home.
Ok place. Try it.
I ordered a "hot apple crispy" . It was burnt and only had 3 slices of cut up apple in it (that's it). Aside from the fact that it lacked jam or jelly , the place was overly smokey. It is uncomfortable to be in a room filled with smoke. I would recommend skipping over this place. Also there is a code you have to punch in for the bathroom. Good luck bringing children here.
Way to cramped and minimal inside seating. Food was not great
Delicious and great gluten free options!!
I love the crepe monsieur. The salad size is really small with the crepe and often not enough maple syrup is provided for your crepe and you have to pay extra for more.
Friendly staff and great food.
Great food so tasty. Fantastic staff. Great place to go anytime.
Cashier shared extensive knowledge of local politics, which was inspiring.
The food, service, and environment were all great.
Really expensive but pretty good. Food cost on water and flour can't be that high lol
Great place to eat. Great food. Crepes are awesome. A Butter offer with crepes would be awesomely Best.
Great food, nice ingredients and combinations, nice service!
Pricey for low value meal, hair found in multiple dishes.
Picked the wrong menu item. Dog friendly? One day they are, next day they're not. Certain register staff could use a 101 course in human contact.
The Skinny Pancake has really expanded their vegan and vegetarian options since my last trip. They now have vegan crepes as well as seitan and vegan pesto. I got a vegan seitan crepe and my partner got a seitan crepe with cheese and they were both delicious. The Montpelier location is smaller than the Burlington one, and it was pretty busy when we were there for a late lunch but we got our food quickly and the service was great.
I absolutely love this place. Every time I'm in the Montpelier area, I come for either lunch or dinner to the Skinny Pancake. I recommend it whenever I get the chance. The environment is nice and relaxed and the food is absolutely fantastic. Their menu ranges from savory to sweet and everything in between. They compensate for people on veggie diets and their staff is always personable. The silverware is also really nifty as are the water glasses, it's neat to think they thought of every detail down to even the utensils. My personal favorite is the meal called Noah's Ark which has a little dabble into everything. I will definitely be coming back here again.
Delicious crepes, gluten free and vegan options for those who want them.
Delicious food, funky and fun atmosphere. Local craft brews. Great staff. Everything you want in a breakfast/brunch place. Can't wait to go back.
Really tasty food, though on the expensive side for what you get. But if do decide to lay down some coin you need to try the spinach artichoke dip. You'll look at life completely different after or maybe I was just super hungry, either way you'll enjoy it.
I love this place!!!! Keep up good work folks
Loved the blueberry crepe. The ingredients are mostly from the farmers market so they're very fresh. Mmm...delish!
I love this place however its quite expensive. Skinny pancake, more like skinny wallet! Dispite the price the food is so delicious
Amazing spot in Montpelier! The crepes are on par with what you'd expect up in Quebec City.
This Gluten Free girl always ends up getting "Nachos" at most places.... You CAN here - but you don't HAVE TO!!! Hooray!!!!
Stopped in for a light bite. Sandwich was low on flavor. Atmosphere is nice, staff friendly, chips and salsa unremarkable.
To be honest it's pretty hit or miss depending on what you get on the menu. Definitely more on the costly side for what you get
nothing close to this quality on the west coast. great service and delicious food
Great tasty food with a focus on local ingredients. Service was friendly and the good was delivered quickly.
My crepe entree was tasty and well made, but pricey for such small portions. My foursome was there at a Monday dinnertime and many of the menu selections were unavailable due to out of stock ingredients.
Came for the best coffee shop in Montpelier and left after having a Johnny Crepe, completely satisfied.
Excellent food, wine and spirits
Great little spot in Montpellier. Savoury and sweet crepes are delicious. Coffee is also great. Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend.
Food was great and service was also great. Love the beer selection and love the local food is used.
High quality food, excellent staff and great atmosphere.
Awesome food and service.
Not impressed given their reputation/hype. I had the jonny crepe which was served cold. The contents were also cold. It was unappetizing that way. The caramelized onions seemed more like uncooked fish or chicken. Perhaps it is just me....maybe a bad day...but based on my experience I am very underwhelmed.
This place caused me to fall in love with Montpelier. The wooden, rustic vibe; the folk Americana music; the delicious meal; and the nice and fun staff made this more than just a food stop-off and more like a relaxing get-away from the rest of Vermont, even though there was something quintessentially Vermont about the place.
Fast service, excellent crepes and
Not bad
Very tasty breakfast, glad we stopped here!!
A bit pricy but the food was good
It was very cozy. The food was good too.
Small portions. Tasty but not outstanding. The veggie monster was tasty. 50/50 Sliders was ok. Choko money - ok, not enough chocolate.
They have really good food and a chalkboard table, Very instagramable and cozy.
Over priced... Food could be much better
Good food, good service, nice people
Delicious. Great outdoor seating, use actual plates/mugs for food- nice vibes. Crepes are outta this world!
Great crepes
We try to make a trip to the Skinny Pancake Everytime we are in the area. The pulled pork pancake was delicious as it wasn't too dry with the addition of caramelized onions topped with a tangy BBQ sauce.
Huge variety of crepes and fillings!
Good, but a little bit small
Very pretentious restaurant. Serving size for the money was very small. Live music and outdoor seating was a plus in my eyes but they had removed the item off the menu that I had gone to get. Wouldn’t go back. Save yourself a couple buck and a happy belly by going over to down home across the street.
Delicious crepes with locally sourced ingredients! The price for the crepes was very good. The Skinny Pancake has both indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely go again if I am in the area!
Been coming here for 7 years. Great food great staff.
Usually superb, tonight a disappointment. No sweet potato fries because the fryer is broken, no hand made root beer because they're out of stock. So 2/3 of what I came for not available. Inside music so loud it was hard to order. Crepes still pretty good, but not enough for a meal, and certainly not enough for $50 for 4 meals.
The service was helpful and friendly and quick. The menu was divers enough to please anyone. The crepes were a tad thicker than I had expected - but very good. I am used the the very thin and delicate French crepe. The Americano was strong and tasty. I had a mushroom crepe with blue cheese. The flavours married well. The price for two (35$) was a little more than I had expected for breakfast but the value for money spoke for the total. I can't argue with quality ingredients, and a pleasant experience overall.
The food was very good. Farm to table fresh.
Very tasty pancakes. Really love that they serve real maple syrup with them. Coffee is quite good. Charming little place.
Delicious crepes, coffee, and bacon. Tasty!
I LOVED this place. Crepes and beer, what more could you ask for? The whole vibe was so comforting to me, I can't wait to visit again.
Great crepes but a little on the pricey side. Definitely worth a try.
Very comofortable and delishis food. Good and friendly service
Delightful. Friendly service even when busy. Food was great. Try the Crepadilla !
Casual atmosphere with rock music playing in the background, and a delectable assortment of sweet and savory crepe dishes. Topped with a delicious cup of steaming coffee!
On a summer hiking trip to Mt Mansfield, one of the days was completely rained out so instead of hiking, we explored what Vermont had to offer. We ended up in this lovely gem of a coffee shio/Cafe for several hours. I got a chai and my friend got some coffee. We sat in the far corner and hung out and drew plans for building a teardrop trailer. After a while, we got to chatting with our dining neighbors - about building small houses and all sorts of things. While this serendipity is not because of anything specific Skinny Waffle did, it will forever imprint into my mind the warmth and loveliness of the Vermont people and it's small and inviting towns. As for the menu, it had enough options and I absolutely loved the crepe selection -I just wish I was hungry enough to snack. The coffee and drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice lazy Sunday. The counter area was genius -they had the register behind the bank of coffee pots and they didn't waste space with a long formal area - it was just perfect for making drinks and good food. I hope my travels lead me there again.
best crepes in the world#!
I had a melted cheese crepe. It was excellent. Service casual and friendly.
A great local business with an eye on sourcing! The menu is so much more then crepes and have some really interesting and delicious pairings. I also am happy that they have expanded their vegan options.
The food was delicious and service was great, but there wasn't a clear non-alcoholic drink menu and the inside was really cramped. There was no where to really stand to wait and place your order. We felt we were always in the way.
The food was good but I felt it was a little over priced. The music inside was very loud, not a great place to have conversations. My husband and I sat in their outside seating area which was quieter and comfortable. Not a bad place to eat but I'm not sure I'd go back.
Plenty of inside and outside space. Vegetarian and meat options for the savory crepes are plenty.
Great vegan options as well as standard fare.
That manager Jacob is awesome, fantastic service to accompany great food
Nice outdoor section. Good food.
Great variety of crepes and ingredients to complement them. Many ingredients are locally sourced, and delicious. Great prices too!
Went for free crepe day and food was delicious and came out fast. Two complaints would be that the music was so loud you could barely hear the person next to you, and because of the paper plates but real silverware, it was not clear if we were supposed to bus our own tables or if they were going to do that for us. An employee let us know that they bus the tables.
Great service I will be visiting again
Really good food. Nice people and great outside seats.
very laid back establishment. Nice staff. Would like to see them Change up there menu. Prices a little high for the amount of food you get
Crepes are french quesadillas, highly recommended
LOVED IT!
We came for a drink here after hiking. The patio was excellent and sunny with a great view of historic buildings, and the staff were fantastic. Really enjoyed our visit thanks to the wonderful servers. The food looked amazing too!
Awesome crêpes! Nice people too.
Nice place to have a sandwich and a coffee while chatting with a friend. Very patient staff and a nice atmosphere, although you might leave a little hungry.
Delicious!! Crepes are amazing
Good crepes. Johnny crepe is really good!
Very busy on weekend mornings, so minus 2 for the long wait. If you can avoid the rush it's definitely worth patronage.
Good food. It was my first wxperience with crepes as a dinner item. I was quite please. They are ready for people who sit on the patio with dogs. If you don't see a water dish, ask. They keep bowls around.
The food was great, the atmosphere enjoyable, and the price reasonable. What more could you want. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast (eaten at 3 in the afternoon), and would go every day of the week if I had the money. Menu items I didn't try looked yummy, need more days and more dollars to get through the menu.
Delicious crepes, sweet and savory alike. Steak and cheese didn't taste like a typical steak and cheese (and honestly it was in a crepe, I wouldn't have wanted it to) it was more of a "pulled beef" than the typical cut, deliciously cheesy, had a nice heat to it and was complimented well by the chipotle sour cream. If I had a bigger stomach I could have finished it. Also the blueberry crepe was delicious and really well balanced. The ice cream was perfect and it tasted like blueberry cobbler while again being it's own thing entirely. Very friendly service and nice seating area. Everything was clean and fast and I would for sure go back.
Good food. Always out of stock. Never know if you be able to order what you want
The food was delicious, I just don't appreciate paying $11 for 2 pieces of bread, some cheese and 2oz of meat along with a salad that amounted to about 4 pieces of lettuce
It's good go eat there
Love the skinny panckase item menu is great they have lots of local product gluten free items great place to come and eat. Summer is even better live music .
Really delicious bacon and crepes (I had the Noah's Ark) and the person working was very helpful with recommendations from the menu and for tea.
Tastiest breakfast food I've had in a while. Amazing savory crepes, I recommend the cheesy pesto with bacon added. There are other creative choices for sweet crepes and sandwiches and group-share foods as well, in addition to the cozy homey atmosphere.
Yummy tried the ark, all the food was great
Absolutely delicious, and a great outdoor seating area even when it was raining. We all had a wonderful lunch there!
Consistently good, am a regular visitor.
This place is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Everything our group was great and o went back twice. Great breakfast crepes/pancakes, sweet savory. All food is sourced locally and wonderfully fresh!!!
Fairly priced and really good food. Sometimes there is a band playing!
Food was good, hot and well priced.
Delicious breakfast sliders with macchiato.
Food was ok, I got served a good 10 minutes before my husband received his meal. We went there specifically for poutine. It is early Saturday evening and they said they only had sweet potatoes and couldn't make it. My husband orders something that has carmelized onions and they are also out of onions.
Picked this place more or less at random so our kids could have breakfast and we could have lunch. Worked out perfectly as all four crepes were delicious. Good coffee too.
Excellent food, casual atmosphere, lovely staff. Definitely upgrade to the buckwheat crepe. Good assortment of sweet and savory options. Frothy coffee and tea available. Best part - mostly locally grown food. This place has become a must stop on our journeys through Vermont.
Tasty food, good smoothies, friendly people and good size portions. I love supporting businesses where I know so many things are locally sourced. They actually have a map showing the local farms they work with. I had the Intervale panini and the red white & blue smoothie, and recommend both.
My all time fav restaurant
The crepes were dry.
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere.
Delicious Crepes with a area to make your own coffee how you want!
The most important part - the food - is outstanding. The crapes are amazing. Tender, sweet, flawlessly cooked; you must try the blueberries. Well worth a drive. Issue: cashier was chatting with a tourist couple, neglecting the register. Easily corrected rookie mistake. I'm slowly working my way through the menu. Will update.
I tried this place while driving through Montpelier, Vermont. The food was blah... however, the service was great.
Great food!
Delicious, as always. Gluten & dairy free options available.
Food was delicious, service was good, and prices were reasonable. I also like the selection of locally sourced food.
It's been 2 years and the Montpelier location is still without a deep fryer. Your food is good but how can anyone enjoy it when they can't order it. I am fairly certain you have made plenty of money by the prices you charge to buy a brand new one. Seriously get it replaced or take the fries and poutine OFF the menu
A nice, cozy place for brunch or to grab a quick bite. The pizza pizza crepe and the coffee is great..!
Awesome food, great atmosphere!
The coffee was good and the food was great enjoyed the atmosphere especially out on the patio
Daughter chose as her last civilian breakfast. She got the Noah's Ark, I had the Cattle Rancher and the Husband had the Blueberry Pancrepe. Daughter was generally happy, she reported her "frumpie" cinnamon and sugar crepes were a bit "gummy". Husband was most happy with his. Lots of filling and "ate like pie". When ordering, I am not a fan of roasted red peppers. When I asked for their removal, I was offered another veggie replacement. I liked this. I had spinach, it worked very well with the ingredients. There is a small side of greens with a light vinaigrette as well. This was a fresh, and needed option to cut the heaviness of the beef and cheese. The meat had great flavor. I didn't care for the chipotle sour cream side. I think a horseradish or garlic sour cream, may work better. The coffee was the best I have had on my first trip to Vermont.
Fun little crepe place in Montpelier. Decent sized menu and quick service.
We absolutely love this breakfast spot :) it is our go to stop on our drive up to Montreal. We come from Rhode Island so it's about a 4 hour drive and then another 2 or so to Montreal from here. It is really comfortable and cozy here, service is very friendly and the food is delicious! I usually get a dessert crepe, my husband gets savory, bith are always amazing! Their coffee is so good, they have dark and medium roast!
Perdy delicious, and fast
What great local farm to table food, doesn't get any better
Really neat little place. I think it kinda captures the vibe of Montpellier, small quircky and really great. Tons of stuff on the menu great coffee and drinks and a very relaxed atmosphere. Last night the manager joined into ply fiddle with some musicians playing there. Really cool!
Great place, live music on Saturdays, crepes are awesome, nice selection of draft beer and ciders.
