Great place to bring a family with kids. Good food, relaxing inviting atmosphere, they have a great playground outside for the kids to play while your food is being prepared. The waiters will even let you know when your food is ready if you are outside playing with your kids. It's accessible by boat, plane and car. There are docks only a couple hundred yards away, a small airfield is present for small aircrafts. Its unique to watch planes come and go while eating/playing. I had the wings and fish and chips. The wings were crispy and HOT, a must try. I will definitely be back.

I just had one of the best prepaired salads ever.... The wedge, with a very hot rare piece of salmon... Just unbelievably delicious!!!!! With it, a cold Corona.... Life is so good!!!!

This is by far the best chicken and waffles I have ever had. My husband loved the burger. Food amazing as well as the service. I will come back here next time I am in Vermont for sure.

Each time I ordered from here I ordered to go. So let me start off by saying that the host are not at all knowledgeable of the menu items, ingredients, or portion sizes. This is extremely mind-boggling to me because I feel like it should be one of the most important parts of their job! The turkey club sandwich obviously isn't smoked turkey. It taste and looks like cheap deli meat, there's barely any sauce on it. You have to look pretty close to even notice it and it looks like they took one piece of bacon and cut it into four pieces to put on your sandwich! Not at all what someone would expect when ordering a turkey club! (The first time I visited)champ Burger is a cheap Frozen beef patty. I ordered mine with bacon. Also really cheap and then, waste of extra money. (The second time I visited)The chicken quesadilla is tasteless(not seasoned) and a very small portion given the price. (The third time I visited)The steak frites are just a small side of fries and a chunk of low-grade steak (obviously Choice Cut), extremely tough and not seasoned. There is literally only about a teaspoon of the chimichurri on it and when I asked about the other sauce( aioli) that it was supposed to come with that's listed on the menu. Neither the house or the kitchen staff knew what I was talking about instead I was asked to choose from a list. NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED! ( NOW THIS IS WHERE I DRAW THE LINE: last visit)I ordered pork buns once, and this is where I draw the line. This order did it for me! I will never order from them again, let alone recommend anyone to eat there! Instead of giving me meat, the buns had VERY SMALL chunks of FAT and I say SMALL because even if it were meat it WOULDN'T BE worth the money! It would be a RIP OFF!

Amazing food and a beautiful place. The burgers are amazing all with there own twist well done chef for a great menu with just the right amount of choice. Mac and cheese was like a warm hug just as it should be. The staff were friendly as everyone is in Vermont and couldn't be more helpful. Just wish we had stayed for more than one night in a very beautiful place x

If you want to feel pampered and well-fed, go here. The staff are remarkably attentive and kind, the food is absolutely delicious and the setting is gorgeous (on the property of the Basin Harbor Club). I don't think you have to be a guest or member to go here, but I'm not positive. I had the lobster roll and an orange tart and my hubby had a sloppy joe baked potato and apple crisp, and everything was amazing. It's not extravagantly priced, either. Pricey, but completely manageable. Highly recommended.

Very good food, great location. There's a playground out back and you can watch airplanes land on the airstrip behind the restaurant. Also, if you're staying at the Basin Harbor Club and have the full American meal plan, it's a great place to have lunch on the plan!

The Red Mill will provide the best meal you've had in decades. With a vibrant selection of starters, main dishes and desserts, every plate was served with an exceptional smile, genuine attitude and a low-price that almost insults the quality of the dish. Every aspect of the food was cooked to perfection, all the way down to the fries. The Red Mill provided me with the best dining experience that I've ever had and truly brought me on a journey that went far beyond the plate.

Beautiful setting. My salad was flavorful& my fish cooked decent. (A little overcooked but still yum) the homemade chicken tenders were too tough to chew. Wait staff friendly, but not overly aware when we needed things, drink, box,check. I would try it again because overall I did enjoy the experience.

Good food and friendly service. Overall, great value for your money. Hint: plan a visit at the Lake Champlain maritime museum, almost next door. Not only is it a great museum, but the entry fee will grant you a 20% discount at the Red Mill. Can't lose!

Wonderful experience here. Wait staff went above expectations, ensuring complete satisfaction throughout the dinner. My party had some specific ingredient restrictions and our waiter Daniel made sure our food was safe. Great food as well.

Been here now probably 20 times, the food was quality and this year it is somehow even better. Great for the whole family with a playground directly adjacent to a small airport.

We had a veal chop with a demi glaze, garlic mash and broccolini. The chop was tough. The glaze was bitter, the mash unremarkable, but the service good. Drinks are $12 each and dinner expect to pay approx. $30 for am entree.
