Get the same thing every time. Price varies from $27 to $34 not sure why. 9/10 times I've asked for no cilantro have gotten extra. Food is a bit or miss depending on how drunk the staff is that night.

I was pleasantly surprised to find ramen on the menu. It was quite good and the slow burn tacos lived up to its billing: spicy! It's a little expensive to dine there, but they smoke their own meat and I bet they make a lot in house. The bathroom situation could use a refresh. One was out of order. ..

Interesting menu. They really like cilantro. The only thing I would change is the size of the chips that they give you with the guacamole. They are too big and I always have to ask for extra. Good selection of beers on tap as well.

Honestly? I've had better. The atmosphere earns a star, the speedy service another. I'll throw in one more because I left feeling like I had experienced something new. But overall, the food was dry, and I felt like it was a place just built for locals. We ate outside, and there were people smoking at the table right next to us. A local woman brought her two large dogs, and they had their run of the outdoor area, with no acknowledgement from the staff. In reality, there is no acknowledgement from the staff. You order your food and hope for the best. If the food was excellent, I wouldn't complain, but they could do a lot better to create an environment in which you want to eat there.

Awesome burritos, packed full of flavor. Their diverse, eclectic selection of (housemade recipes) hotsauces adds new bursts of flavor as you work your way through a super sized, delicious burrito. Funky place and great music playing on their sound system.... love stopping by whenever I'm in the area.

Some of the absolute best tacos I've had while in Vermont. This place is worth a trip. The sauces were flavorful, but missed a heat punch. Great tap selection includes Hill Farmstead, Lawson's, Stone Brewing, Zero Gravity, and others. Good selection of food, and it's all tasty.

It's a very small place with some outdoor seating. Cilantro is the only greens in anything we ordered. It took forever to get our food. Hot sauces were excellent. Beer selection however is good including hill farmstead and alchemist

OMG! I would give this place 10 stars! We just chanced upon this place while driving through.The most amazing, no frills, the best fresh food. We had burritos, shrimp tacos, black bean taco, and 4 more dishes. Everything was so so so good. Yumm yum. Would go back there again 100%. Love you guys!

We waited in line 20 minutes to order our food and then roughly another 40 before it arrived at our table. We ordered 2 tacos, a tostada, and a small bowl of wings for 32$. The food was ok. Tacos were too salty. Waitstaff (working hard and very friendly) were repeatedly delivering food to the wrong tables around us. Confused why they don't use numbers. If you're ever in Burlington, swing by Taco Gordo and you can get food that is twice as good, half the price, and four times as fast.

I stopped in for a quick taco. We were hiking all day. The vibe was awesome as soon as we walked in. We ordered and started talking with staff. Long story short the food was so good we got seconds, more of the awesome beer selection and ended up staying and having a blast. Strongly suggest this place for, food, beer, vibe or all three. Party of two arrived and placed order at 6:15pm - received food at 7:15pm. There was no heads up about wait time. As we were waiting, we saw many parties of customers come in to pick up phone orders, which logistically bogged up the cue of dine-in customers, including us who waited with not even the chips and guacamole that we ordered. The employee guys were hustling, and were nice. Shrimp tacos with pineapple salsa, side of black beans - very good Pork belly tacos - bone dry Fish tacos - extremely fishy to the point that they were not eaten. Would not recommend for families with children, or anyone who is hungry and not able to wait an hour for their food with no warning (after tipping, paying, and not being offered chips while waiting).

Great food. I used to go exclusively for the Colorado Fatty (mole cooked pork on a pita like bread with avocado and slaw - amazing) but now I often get whatever is on special. It is sometimes slow, but always worth it.

Literally one of the most delicious and delectable tacos I have ever eaten! Not only are the meats out of this world tasty but everything else was super fresh. The fire roasted salsa had amazing flavor. My husband had the Sweet Mary Jane cocktail special and was extremely happy with it. Great place. We saw the smokers and turned around. I’m not much of a meat person, but my wife noticed it. Small plaza. Pulled in. First impressions: authentic but very bro looking ( that’s code for I’m old). Some places like this, as I do look like I just rolled out of a minivan full of car seats, give you an eye roll. Not here. Very gracious people. Very good, clean food. Highly recommended.

Fresh ingredients, great pork, and their house made pitas are amazing. Definitely tey their ever changing spread of house made hot sauces. Be careful of the number ratings... A 1 isn't always mild!

Some have criticized the Mad Taco for being loud, but we liked the loud. We thought it was loud in a good way. A young man in the kitchen made it clear there was no need for a PA system. He also seemed to create a great lively spirit in the kitchen which translated to a large and happy crowd having a great time. And oh, the tacos. Two double layer tacos stuffed to the max with flavored pork and washed down with a Green State Keller. The seasonings were spot on and the portions more than generous. We highly recommend this spot.

A little pricey but the quality and size of the portions reflects it. Essentially, the tacos are phenomenal. The fact that they smoke their own meats outside the restaurant is awesome. The patrons were a little off-putting though. I could be wrong but one of the patrons seemed to work there. This one group was loudly yelling and swearing at one point and happily talked about their hard drug use. Not exactly an enjoyable dining experience.

Took a long time to get our order. Music was way too loud especially for having to wait in such a small space. The woman at the counter who took our order way very nice, helpful, and engaging . The rest of the employees could have cared less that we or anyone else was there. Got home with out take-out order and the smothered burrito had been over baked. No wonder we got such a nice "Thanks for waiting" from one of the disinterested guys. Used to love this place, but will consider other establishements next time we are in town.

The Mad Taco perfectly exemplifies what I love about skiing in the Sugarbush area, really good and really friendly. This is a popular place both for locals as well as those who are visiting. It maintains a bar vibe in one half of the restaurant and a quick bite to eat aura on the other. Although it is a touch pricey, I think it is always worth it to stop by my favorite place in the area. They have rotating salsas that are made by people in the area and submitted to be served, so you will always have a bit of excitement every time you try a new one. Overall, I highly recommend you come and see one of the local gems.

Excellent as always! I'm soooo full! Great staff and lively atmosphere, with sports on and bar scene on one side and slightly quieter room on the other side. Consistently delicious burritos, enchiladas, etc. Kids of all ages love the food too....summertime has the outdoor picnic tables full with occasional friendly dogs waiting for their chance also!

It's really nothing special. The place can be hopping, so if you're planning to go why to it's busy, plan to wait a while for the food. Clearly, most everyone like what they were eating. Portions are generous. My wife thought her margarita was tasty.

I just ate here . We ( and all other tables around us)had 1 hour 10min wait before we got our food but the kitchen kept saying ten min and never apologized. Average to good food depending on what you order, cool decor ...one star not so much for the wait but for the fact that they never informed anyone and were super unapologetic .

The food and beer were so good, and I really appreciated them having seitan as a non-meat option. Would love to go back and try the sweet potatoes sometime.

Really nice vibe and good music but don't bother if you're vegetarian. The veggie tacos were edible but very bland. If the coleslaw was actually flavorful they would have been much better. It's not hard to make great tasting veggie tacos... So maybe they just don't care if you're not ordering meat. Also, it took 40 minutes for two orders of tacos even though it wasn't all that busy.
