This Restaurant belongs to the category of Bar & grill.
Overpriced for food that was not particularly amazing. The Belgian waffle was too chewy and the Macaroni and Cheese had too thin of a sauce. Not impressed.
Loud inside, and a noodle somehow ended up in my gluten free burger. The staff was very nice though.
Food was very good. Portion sizes were a bit small for the price.
Good food and a nice atmosphere
Been a few times and was never disappointed. Can get extremely busy, so be warned that if you don't make a reservation, you will wait! Food is fresh and the it has a great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Great location...food and beer in tap. You are going to love it!
Food was great. Drink selection was impressive. Service was fast.
I liked this place. Popular to the locals and tourists. Very casual. Good menu.
This bar and restaurant has a wide selection of beers on tap, particularly from Vermont. The outdoor patio has live music, and the substantial menu is uniformly good.
Loved it! Beer was excellent, food was fresh and very tasty. You could taste the farm fresh beef and greens. Not your traditional burger. Extremely juicy and full of flavor. Their side salad was delicious. My macaroni and cheese was awesome, but I was jealous of my husband's burger.
I visited here on a business trip to Burlington. The atmosphere was inviting and the menu was interesting. As soon as we received our cocktails we were informed if a fire within the chimney. Sadly after a few sips we were evacuated from the premises. It was a freezing cold evening as we watched the Burlington Fire Dept work on the fire. The cold beat us out and we decided to find warmth and comfort in another establishment. I will be back to finish that cocktail and have the meal.
Bar food in the beer garden was amazing - plus service was excellent If you are in Burlington - definitely check this place out
Great spot to hang out and grab a beer and a bite to eat. The ever-changing selection of beer on tap never gets old and is always top-notch! Some of the friendliest staff around.
Wonderful lunch. Had 1:00 pm reservation. Seated promptly. Party of 5. Staff most attentive. Lunch special fried oyster salads were a real treat. Check out the seafood plateau. Beer selection impressive. I rate as just about the best down Burlington restaurant.
This is a lively and loud place. Came early (6pm) with no reservations and was seated immediately. Each of us had the burgers, which were excellent. I had the beef burger with added kimchi and asked for no bun. They offered to put sautéed kale on the bottom instead and got a dressed side salad in place of the fries. Great meal for my low carb diet. Plenty of offering for beer, and the maple-flavored sparkling water was excellent. Would definitely return. Free (first 2 hrs) parking garage nearby
Such a treat to find locally-sourced food and craft brews at affordable prices. Fantastic beer garden in back and patio in front. Excellent service. We'll be back next time we're in town from Canada!
Vegan options are limited and are overpriced. It was +$18 for a beyond burger with fries. No tempeh bacon, no non-dairy cheese, no avocado that you would expect at a price point in the upper teens. The staff seemed overwhelmed and bothered by our presence in the beer garden area, and was not forthcoming with information regarding vegan options and the ability to make existing dishes vegan. Perhaps if we ate regular food and came at a less busy time our experience would have been different, but here we are. With all the other great places in Burlington, we won't be back.
Had to get the Baller Burger. I definitely felt Baller. Couldn't take a pic because I ate it too fast
a very unique menu with very fresh ingredients. I had the chicken salad and it was very fresh and tasty. The staff was attentive without be overbearing. Location wad good, with a parking garage right across the street.
Great food, great selection of craft beer on tap, and some of the best service I've ever had in a restaurant. The food and beer are both locally sourced, so you can feel like a hero eating here, knowing that you're supporting numerous local businesses.
Delicious food...but, need a bit of balsamic on the salad.
This was one of the best restaurant experiences that I have ever had. when we walked in the place was busy and we were greeted right away. There was a short wait for a table So we had a drink at the bar while we waited. They had an amazing beer selection, and we were seated pretty quickly. The server whose name was Michael was absolutely incredible. Very attentive and made wonderful recommendations. The food was also out of this world. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
My favorite burger in the Burlington area. A little pricey but worth it. A good selection of beer as well and the outdoor beer garden is awesome when the weather is nice
Wow! This place was great! I came here on a trip to Vermont, and this was a major highlight. The burgers were delicious, service was great, and the waiters and waitresses were all very nice and super friendly. You won't regret coming!
We had a wait of 45 minutes so we started walking around but then we got a text in 10 minutes saying our table was ready so we had to run back. So, stay close! Pleasant understated service , very good food.
Always a great place to get food in Burlington. Fresh farm-to-table food from local Vermont establishments. Highly recommend the fish and chips and muscles.
Great selection of crafts. Fun terrace.
Best mixed drink I've ever had and a great vegan meal.
The cheddar ale soup was very delicious. The loved the atmosphere and they had tons of seating. However the menu was limited on options (not a lot of vegetarian options besides salad) and the prices are not wallet friendly.
Busy place for a Monday, but then again, I ain't from around these parts. Fish and chips were on sub par for a brewery IMO. Lost there crispiness after vinegar, maybe too much cornmeal in the batter. I sat downstairs where it is much more like a bar and patron fueled service. If I lived around here I would probably visit regularly.
It's not worth the visit. The fish and chips were dull and lack luster. Mainly broader. My mothers mac and cheese was large but bland. The server sara was nice. Probably the best part of the experience was her. Yet the younger servers and food runners were rude. Over priced. Nice environment. Food subpar.
Not my type of restaurant.....but any restaurant who can't get the temp of a burger right after 2 tries deserves 1 star. If you're an alcoholic then this place will suit you! Just don't expect much from the solids. Fries were great though. Service was snobby.
We had a nice meal and they were able to seat our large-ish party without a long wait. Server was very helpful re gluten free options. A little pricey for lunch, but delicious!
Great local food. Everything was great from the shellfish to the pork as well as all of the veggies and salad. The beer selection was great I even got a Head Topper! Staff was great and lots of fun. Great location right off the Church St. Marketplace.
Nice outdoor seating out back
Food was good, beer selection was great!
Farm to table, great variety to choose from. You can eat indoors or outside. Very warm atmosphere, casual and knowledgeable wait staff.
Wonderful place with several different spaces - informal beer garden, dining room, patio. Good food. Good service Great beer. A bit pricey.
Excellent place for beer and local food. I have been coming here ever since I decided I was going to move to the area. I have had the burgers every time I have come here, and have yet to be disappointed. They have a extensive beer list, local and international. One of the best beer places in Burlington. They are a busy restaurant. I would recommend reservations if possible. Or it is possible you can wait up to a hour+ for a table.
Local, fresh ingredients and Hill Farmstead on tap. What more could you ask for?
My wife and I went to Burlington on our honeymoon last year and heard and read great things about this restaurant, so we visited. The line took about 45 minutes just to put our name in, and we got assigned a flashing alarm and they also asked for my phone number to text when we were ready to be seated. We went out to the back bar and got a couple of drinks... And about an hour passes and I get nothing on my phone and the flashing alarm never lit up or vibrated. We went back to the front and asked if things were okay, and they weren't... Their system decided to kick us out of line entirely and then instead of trying to fast track us to a table... They put us back in the system and made us wait again. Another 45 minutes passed and we finally get seated next to a door by their outdoor seating area, in October... It was borderline uncomfortably cold and the couple next to us were wearing their jackets and commented on the same thing. When our food arrived, I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered the meatloaf... Both dishes were more on the blander side of things and didn't really impress either of us. We were excited to visit here because we've heard and read good things... But overall the experience was rather disappointing, and we won't be returning.
Pretty good food, great service! The mac n cheese was very tasty. We had such an excellent server. He was friendly, attentive, and just on top of it in every way. The whole team was rolling out food and bussing like a well oiled machine. It was impressive to watch. They also have great outdoor space. We sat on the front patio and were surprised there were so few mosquitoes. Great all around!
Excellent food! When I hesitated on whether to do a salad or fries with the veggie burger, the bartender recommended doing 1/2 and 1/2, which was perfect because they were both delicious! (And I had an excuse to try out the homemade condiments with the fries) And that burger was amazing. Of course, the beers were top notch and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend it here!
Best burger I've had in a very long time.
Great food, huge selection of beer & cider, nice ambience, friendly staff. Obvious care into the food & all aspects of the business. Would definitely recommend for solo travelers to belly up to the bar. Very friendly people in Burlington!
Food was mediocre for an expensive price. Two burgers two rookies root beer 55$ not flavorful at all. I was very disappointed.
An extremely popular tap house in downtown Burlington. The food was local and delicious. The tomatoes wer some of the best to be had in any restaurant. Fresh oysters and a rotating variety of local cheeses. Try a piece of rhubarb pie before you venture down the street.
The service here was perfect! One of the best places to eat outside in Burlington. Extensive beer selection. Love that they support local farms. Unfortunately the descriptions of the food on the menu sounded better than the results tasted. I did love my burger, but a good burger is really easy to find and it wasn’t worth the prices.
Great farm to table restaurant. They have a beet salad with chevre cheese that's amazing and like most places in the area, a great beer selection. They also have outdoor seating in the summer.
The service was great. The food is overpriced pub food. I can't stress this enough, WAYYYYYYY OVERPRICED. 4 stars If they lowered their prices. $28 for a burger, and $28 for some brats?! I mean it was okay, but for $28, a burger or a brat needs to be gourmet; and it just was not.
The beer garden in summer and cellar parlor in winter are always great for a drink with friends. The steak tartare is a must. Four stars because we used to go here a lot but the prices a few years ago became out of reach to stay a more regular dinner spot. Also my sister worked there for years and said fewer items were locally sourced than is implied. (See clarification from restaurant in their response. I will also clarify it is totally plausible this could have shifted since she stopped working there.)
I’ve been once for lunch, once for dinner, and a few times for drinks (having learned my lesson): The service is great, as is the beer selection. Unfortunately, the food has been consistently overpriced and underwhelming.
Great food. A bit on the pricey side, but it's very much farm-to-table. Excellent selection of local craft beers on tap. Fun non-alcoholic options too! They have a great beer garden out back where the tables and seating are first come first serve. Seating was super quick despite a busy marathon Sunday. Servers were very knowledgeable of the beers on tap and what's in season/fresh.
Decent menu. Nice beer selection. Slow service.
The food, drinks, and service here were beyond our expectations. Beef and turkey burgers were amazing, and the tap list was excellent. Will always return whenever i travel to Burlington.
Was there last night! Dinner was delicious! I had a burger with a tasty salad.
Cozy and courteous - gets busy! It’s got a little pub vibe to it, if you go to the bar downstairs. The beer selection is on point - there’s a lot of craft beer to choose from in this area! Their burgers have always been delicious.
Be prepared to wait during peak times but totally worth it, great food and great beer list. Patio and cellar are great.
Upscale eatery right off Church Street. Good food and beer selection. The eggs benny was very tasty, and the cornbread was fantastic, but the waffles came out undercooked. Twice.
Food was very good but a little pricy
Great selection of microbrews. Beer garden is very nice and comfortable.
Always have decent food and service. Mike was great and funny as we discovered flavored non alcoholic sodas of n.vermont. Look forward to teturning.
Wait staff/bartender not very friendly. Husband got a Manhattan and they charged him $21 for it! Food was ok. They weren't willing to do any meal substitutions, one of our burgers was undercooked, and the chicken and waffles meal was about the size of a kids dinner. Definitely not worth the hype or the prices in my opinion.
Service was good but I feel like the quality of the food has gone down. Maybe new owner? Been a year since I have been here..... The bathroom was disgusting. Almost as if you are in a bar bathroom. Garbage everywhere. Piles of dust on the stall walls. If the bathroom looks like this, what does it say about the kitchen? The food definitely was not like their other location in South Burlington. Sorry.
The selection of beer and food will have you coming back
Delicious food and attentive staff! My chicken and biscuits were refined and satisfying and my boyfriend's burger was cooked perfectly.
Nice spot right in town. Very good selection of local Vermont delicacies.lots of veggie dishes, but also a good selection of pork beef and seafood. Very good selection of draft and bottled beer.
Have only been for brunch and have not stopped dreaming about the biscuits and gravy. Food in general was awesome, and brunch drink menu was great too!
Great farm to table in Burlington! Waitstaff very attentive and friendly. Good selection of beers on tap.
The patio was nice and there is a little "saloon" type spot in the basement. Food was pretty good. Nice beer selection
I wish half stars were an option for ranking. We were in the basement which is awesome. There was a fire burning and we played some board games while soaking in the inviting atmosphere. The only issue was with some drinks. I know Vermont is proud of it's maple syrup, but don't assume everyone wants craft alcohol in their drinks. I enjoy maple syrup on breakfast foods or candy, not in a mixed drink. Give me the choice of alcohol before ruining a drink.
This is a farm to family restaurant the food is a bit pricy for what you get. I ordered the mac n cheese but unfortunately it came out cold so it went back. Came back hot but it was not cheesy and rather dry and un appealing. The dessert was pretty good. The wait staff was efficient and friendly. All in all i would maybe come back and try a burger.
Food can run a bit pricey, but the burgers are perfect to split if you're going for lunch. Beer selection tends to favor IPAs, but there are a few favorites on there.
Food is quite good, but also quite pricey, and I feel they could be more creative with their cuisine if they are going to charge that much. We have also had some negative wait staff experiences in the past, with our most recent server being abrupt, impatient, and not talkative. We were worried that it was because we weren't ordering enough food due to the price.
There is a lot of variety on their menu, something for everyone. We went healthy and enjoyed the gazpacho which was delicious. The pear salad and special strawberry salads were also nice. The turkey burger had a lovely cranberry spread and very flavorful.
We were in the basement of the restaurant. Really cozy with fire place going. We sat at the bar. Great beer selection and the food was delicious. We started with a beet salad and I got a pork burger with an egg on top and my hubby had a beef burger equally delicious. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. We were visiting from NJ, otherwise we would come back. Thanks for an enjoyable dinner and evening.
Been here more than once and it's always a great atmosphere with great food. Is it pricey? Yeah. But, that's the price of quality and they don't cut corners. I got the onion rings in this picture and they were crispy, delicious and the onions didn't pull out when you bit them. That's the true sign of well made onion rings.
Great beer selection and fun little places. The prices aren’t cheap but you are in downtown Burlington so there’s no surprise there. Fresh food was great with some interesting takes on classic dishes. My favorite was the “dressed greens” that were an option with my burger. Monster side salad with carrots, beets and sunflower seeds tossed in a very light vinaigrette. Yum!
The food was great. I love that they offer the option of getting the burgers on kale rather than a bun. Did feel a bit nickel and died with a $0.95 up charge for it, but...whatever. My son said the Mac & cheese was amazing. He would know, Mac & cheese has been his "go to" for most 19 years.
We have been coming here for years and haven't been disappointed. The burgers and salads are really good. The beer selection is pretty strong. It's easier to get tables on the "garden" out back. It's nicer for kids because they can run around a bit.
The food was fine. The mac and cheese had a thick layer of bread crumbs which was not necessary. It changed the texture and not for the better. My husbands hamburger was good.
Food was fabulous!! We would definitely eat here again if in the area
Great food, great service and amazing beer selection
Above average pub fare. Our waitress was great.
Great food, good selection of craft beers. Service was awesome. Highly recommend to est here if you have not already
Nice terrace in back. Good food and beers
Had the Framinghammer 2017 and a Laplatte Burger. 10/10. The vibe of the restaurant is nice, especially when night falls. Highly recommended.
What fun...great place. I want to live here..lol without the long winters. The people are so down to earth! The beer is cold!
Great beers and good food. Oysters were a bit small but I can live with it.
Food is excellent, staff is attentive. I sat at the bar and ordered a few off menu drinks and the bartender was able to quickly accommodate me.
Visited Burlington for the 1st time from Nevada when we thought we'd give this place a try, and I'm glad we did! Definitely the best burger I've ever had and it went perfectly with the local soda I was given. The service was phenomenal as well. Would recommend to anyone visiting Burlington
Upbeat, fun Vermont vibe. Comfort food menu
I come to Burlington once a year but never stopped into this place until this year. This will now be a mandatory stop. They have a fantastic selection of locally brewed craft beers and the farm to table food is just really exceptional. Some people might say that the prices are a little steep, but I would argue that this place is definitely worth every penny. The service was also beyond reproach. I can't wait to come back next year.
The Farmhouse never disappoints. I almost always go with the burgers. There are great gluten-free and vegetarian options and the staff are knowledgable, friendly, and attentive. One of my favorite date spots!
We visited this establishment for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and it was some of the best food I've had! The service was exceptional, the restaurant was clean, and over all we had a wonderful time! We ordered the corn bread (omg amazing!)and the roasted beets (get in my belly!) for appetizers, an egg salad sandwich with greens on the side, fish-and-chips, and a burger with onion rings. There was not one thing on the table that we didn't all love! Honestly, I'm still thinking about it now that I'm back home from vacation. I wish I could get more :) We happened to be there as a storm rolled in and my husband helped clean up and tie down the awning that the wind was about to blow away. Just a normal human thing to do, but the manager gave us $17 off of our meal! So not necessary and such wonderful people. Our server was Sarah and she couldn't have been more wonderful. We interacted with a lot of the staff and they were just a really great group of people. I truly appreciate this experience and recommend you check them out!
We went for some afternoon oysters and wine upon arriving to Burlington on a nice winter day. The place was packed early afternoon, so we sat at the bar. The oysters were great. The wine selection was ok. I was not impressed with the service, but I expected as much visiting a college town and tourist city.
The Farmhouse Tap & Grill is a great way to feel welcomed to Burlington. The food and beverages are delicious and the atmosphere is fun and inviting!
Lots of fresh food, great atmosphere
Excellent meals. The chicken and biscuits was spot on perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The quinoa cakes were bomb according to one of us. The burgers were juicy and good sized. Nice beer and cider selection. Clean restaurant with nice ambiance, great location right off Chuch Street, and good service. Not thrilled with the VT food and alcohol taxes which is excessive, but can't blame the restaurant for that. Overall, it's an excellent choice for a snack or meal while visiting the big B.
Great atmosphere, vast and ever changing array of beer and locally sourced food. They boast a great selection of vegan and vegetarian meals and apps. We had brown ale brewed with maple, so yummy. Would recommend and will definitely visit again the next time we are in Burlington.
Great service, delicious food and pleasant place to be at.
A cozy, comfortable atmosphere with excellent food and service.
Great service. Burgers are great. Although, I had the fish and chips and the fish was bland and had too much batter so other than that the food is great.
Great local beer selection and delicious food. Creative apps and burgers. The kale and arugula salad is delicious. Friendly bartenders. Plus a cute outdoor beer garden during the summer!
Today I was absolutely CRAVING oysters. Ive never been to Farmhouse but the menu looked amazing so I headed that way. I sat at the bar and my bartender was lovely. I ordered my oysters and another item off the menu and was terribly excited for them. I got them and, while delicious, there were a lot of shells, which can be very off putting. I had a dozen and absolutely hate to complain as I'm also in the industry. She asked if everything was ok and I explained the problem. She immediately apologized, genuinely, and explained that they had some new people on and thanked me over and over for bringing this to their attention. She asked if I would give it another try with someone else preparing them and I agreed. The next batch were prepared quickly and they were absolutely AMAZING. This alone was 100% spot on customer service, but on top of all of it, she didn't charge me for any of the oysters and when I tried to offer to pay for them her response was simply "We strive to get it right the first time." Do yourself a huge favor and visit The Farmhouse as soon as you can.
food is good ... beer selection not that awesome... staff service is decent
The quality of the ingredients in their food really elevates the level of taste with each bite. Their delicious selections of beer is also impressive. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This place is a staple in Burlington cuisine. I will be coming back here again when I visit.
Food was okay, was cold and flavor was average. We ordered schnitzel and meat loaf. was ok. Service was awesome! 5 starts. Place is decent, and welcoming.
Very nice and classy place to eat. I was a little dressed down and had to get the bus girls attention to get a waiter/waitress to finally acknowledge my table. A shame since I got wonderful hostess service. Other than that, once a waiter had greeted my table all services was great along with the food.
Great service, great food, friendly staff.
Last time we were here (3 years ago)the food was amazing, outstanding...Today, something happened, I gave 2 stars just because of last time...
Great food. Good service.
As a local I've tried this place a bunch of times and I'm always left underwhelmed. The burgers are incredibly overpriced. Most recently the service was snooty, almost like the bartenders and servers are annoyed you're there.
Drinks, appetizer, dinner and dessert all delicious. Excellent service with great teamwork amongst the friendly staff ensuring that the guests have a great experience. Overall very pleased!
Food that tastes as good as it looks and beer to match. Quality local ingredients
The best cheesecake I've ever eaten! Great food and great beer selection
This place has delicious food and a great selection of beers. A friend purchased a $60 and it was well worth it.
Out of all the mid to upper tier restaurants in burlington this is my favorite dinner spot. Menu and beer lists feature variety and creativity in a great atmosphere with attentive staff. I cant wait to see what their redesigned beer garden will look like as the old one was a great place to sit in the nice weather.
This restaurant came highly recommended and they weren't kidding! It was packed for a weeknight but we had quick attentive service. Everything we had was delicious! The server suggested some awesome local wine too. Would definitely return!
I have many severe food allergies and they took this very seriously. They made sure my meal was not cross contaminated so I could enjoy safe food! I would highly recommend this place!
The beer selection has always been the best part of this place. Every time I’ve gone they’ve had a wide selection of styles from VT and outside. The food is fine, nothing spectacular besides the blue cheese garlic bread. The burger that includes bacon on it only has one slice which is kind of skimpy I think. Overall though, decent service and friendly staff.
Amazing place to have different teas! A lot of good collection and they help you pick the flavor for you. A bit pricey, but very good quality. They also taker online orders
Very nice indoor and outdoor seating. Food & service both excellent. Fish & chips was fresh and good quantity, tho too much breading. The special burger was ordered medium, but arrived quite rare and took two iterations to get right; kudos to the restaurant which said they wouldn't charge for it. And it was really, really good after all that - I enjoyed every bite. Large selection of craft/draft beers and some nice wines for the rest of us.
Farmhouse Tap and Grill is on Bank Street in downtown Burlington where the former McDonald's was. The place carries a lot of craft beers on tap along with decent food from local farmers. The waitstaff and bartenders are very friendly and will meet your needs in a timely manner. You can enjoy a candlelight dinner in the dining area on the main floor or out on the patio or you can hang out with the regulars in the bar downstairs in the basement. You cannot go wrong with the craft beer selections they have.
Great farm to table style eatery using Vermont grown and made foods and beverages. Burger was just right with a perfect bun and pickled onions. Fries were crispy and tasty. They had homemade mustard, ketchup, hot sauce and a mayo sauce! All these are great. I stuck with the hot sauce! Then there was the chocolate stout cake for dessert. Not too rich and heavy but light with great consistency. Finally, they have a wide offering of craft beers and local wines. I have been away from Vermont a couple of years and was glad to have the chance to have The Alchemist beers Heady Topper and Focal Banger. Thanks Farmhouse for a great finale to my most recent Vermont visit!
Top of our list of places to eat at when in the area. The food is always top notch and is constantly changing based on season and what's locally available, they source most things locally. The beer selection is amazing and also represents the best of the local and some really good not so local selections. Highly recommend stopping here.
Very fresh. Just picked from the Garden. We had salad and Mac n cheese. Both great and fresh. Great and lovely people like everyone else in Vermont. The menu is not super diverse but very fresh. Great for burger lovers too.
My husband and I found this place in our guidebook and decided to visit for dinner during our honeymoon. Sitting by the row of glass windows was a little chilly but the waitress was amazing. I loved the selection of kombucha and unusual soda flavors like blackberry rosemary. It's nice to be able to have things besides the unhealthy sodas most places offer. I loved my oysters and the Mac and cheese entree. My husband got the meatloaf and was very happy with it.
Excellent food and a wide variety of pints in a large, surprisingly airy, setting. Popular and busy, with friendly staff.
Great food and extensive beer list and cocktail list. Recommend a reservation on the weekends
Delicious beer, cider and food! Loved the Vermont cheese plate and the BBQ-rubbed chicken wings. Super friendly service too. The outdoor bar is really fun!
Great beer selection! The wings were spicier than expected, but the whole experience was very enjoyable.
Delicious! Great service, very pretty, large tap selection.
So, not only do they have a good local beer offering on draft, they also have a respectable Belgian selection... on draft. Excellent venue
The food here is delicious! I had the turkey burger with grilled apple and would go back just for that! Fresh ingredients, full of interesting tastes! It is a large restaurant with a big patio. Lots of kids and quite noisy but worth it for the food!!! Service was ok but he had lots of tables and it was busy so he did what he could as he rushed around. I would go back for the food!
Amazing food and equally great tap list. The local cheese plate and the oysters were outstanding.
Raw bar is on point, very good beer selection and warm atmosphere.
I have to admit that this one is probably on me. I ordered a glass of Pinot noir to have with my turkey burger. When the waitress brought me the glass and I saw the size of the pour, I should have asked her right away how much it was. It might have been 6oz, but not a drop more. When the check came and it was $15.00 for a glass of house Pinot noir I had to say something. She said "Sir, all out pours are 6oz." I said you should have a $12.00 house or pour a 8-9oz pour for $15.00. I would like to go back because the food is good, but I don't care to pay Manhattan prices up in Burlington.
Good tap selection! Food was good.
Absolutely delicious burgers. They always have excellent specials as well. Not overly expensive either.
Terrific food and atmosphere. Everything was quite delicious and reasonably priced.
The burger was tasty and so were the mussels. Same with the onion rings and the beer we had. Honestly, nothing to complain about here. Plenty of food options and a great craft beer list. Can’t go wrong.
Great food, excellent beer selection.
We dined at Farmhouse to celebrate our wedding anniversary while visiting Burlington. We had a wonderful experience. Our appetizer was a blue cheese toast, drizzled with honey. It was a perfect balance of funky and sweet. I had the featured burger with a salad and my husband had the fish and chips. My burger was juicy and perfectly cooked and the fish was so tender with delicious house made tartar sauce. And both plates were unexpected - not your typical burger & fish and chips, but elevated to a new level. They have a great craft beer selection as well and a nice cocktail list - both of which we explored and enjoyed. We were there on a busy Friday night, and the place was hopping, but we still managed to get seated at a table for 2 within 5-10 minutes. I would check this place out again, especially to see their seasonal offerings.
Cozy and courteous. The atmosphere is like a home in the woods or on a hiking trail. The beer list is excellent, filled with many Vermont and North East breweries. Every time I visit Burlington I make sure to go here. It is best for lunch as the line ups are nuts for dinner. However, if you find yourself just wanting pub food, they do have a lower level with a fire side pub and the same beer list.
One of the best hamburger in any place. Well designed restaurant with good vibe. Service is quick and friendly. Presentation of the burger is clean and organized. Flavors are almost worth to drive all the way from Connecticut. Every time I get here we have to go back. Will go back.
Excellent service and the food was amazing. Love this place!
Always good... and, unfortunately, always crowded... worth the wait...
Great beer garden at the back ! Very good local beer selection
Awesome farm to table restaurant with a great beer selection.
The food here was very unique. I got the salmon with pureed carrots, lentils and dill yogurt. To me that does not sound appetizing but I love salmon and wanted to try something new. I'm glad I did. Not only was the meal delicious but healthy to boot. The atmosphere was good and the beer list, like most places in Burlington, was amazing. Get the Farmstead Hill Solitude if you like IPAs. The food and beer gives this place five stars. I'd give the table service 3 stars...average.
Great burger and great service!
Service cannot get any better. The food was decent, the beers were excellent but the service was outstanding. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with kindness and brought smiles but the waiter that took care of us honestly was so on top of his game that I found myself excessively tipping. Well done truly well done
Impressive tap and bottle list! Stellar food and service. Went for lunch, not looking for beers, but something fun and refreshing for the day's festivities. The Arnold Palmer was delicious! Looked like a black and tan, but was iced tea and lemonade!
My husband and I went after recommendations...we were so pleased with the freshness of all the products and the wide range of beer choices. Our waiter (Mark or Mike?) offered one of the best services we ever experienced! He had extensive knowledge of all the farms that collaborate with the restaurant as well as local history in and around Burlington (he should be a tour guide!). He was able to answer all of our questions about how certain dishes were concocted. This man deserves a big raise! We will be back!
Beer prices a little steep for the area, but the selection is really solid. Food was good, would definitely return
The food was excellent. Great atmosphere at the outdoor bar. Great drinks and craft beers.
Good Farm to Table restaurant. The back patio is great. Sara, one of the servers was awesome!
